The plan at first had been to move in at the dead of night, unfortunately however Qrow had quickly pointed out that night would be when the Fang would be most guarded. Sure the darkness could make for some decent cover... against humans that was. Faunus had night vision, and thus night or day was meaningless in their sense, and considering night was when most crime was active it was safe to assume they might be placing their plans in motion during those sunless hours.

"Keep calm and keep together." Ruby whispered, all the while they moved in a group covered head to toe in the 'borrowed' attire.

On it's own the march towards the school itself seemed intimidating, and while that was true they were able to find some comfort in the plan, even if it was a little bit barbaric in execution.

"A little more, quiet now." Ruby's last statement trickled off as they drew closer to the gates, and it was then that Pyrrha braced herself, knowing full well the others did the same. A massive force pushed against everything as the noise of commotion grew rapidly. Smoke filled the air, and Pyrrha knew it had the intended effect as the guards standing just outside the entrance rushed ahead.

After they had decided on a plan the group went to Lil'Miss and spoke of the idea. Qrow hadn't been too happy with it, but ultimately agreed it was best to let the gang handle that part of their scheme.

"If anyone's to take any sort of blame for damage of public property it may as well be the ones with the cash and power to brush it under the rug."

His words made it clear they were using the gang as a scape goat, and with Lil'Miss giving them a laugh it seemed she was fine with it. It was quickly decided that she would have her men detonate a bomb in a nearby place to draw attention.

"It'll be in an empty cart, and weak enough to not cause any major harm to nearby civilians. I don't want to have any blood on our hands after all. It will cause a scene though, and I suggest you get moving once it starts. Nobody should question you running in at that point, as it's only natural to report of nearby trouble around the base, no?"

Her reasoning, while slightly optimistic, was for the most part sound, and so they had agreed to it. While they didn't like the idea of scaring everyone, the fact that they had no other plans to go off of forced them to use what they had. Pyrrha herself was just happy nobody would be hurt, a sentiment she was sure everyone else shared.

Taking the chance they rushed ahead. Several other Fang looked to have been drawn to the explosion, however none had stopped them as they ran in; it appeared as though Lil'Miss was right with her guess. The inside wasn't anything special, and taking a quick glance around Pyrrha noticed something they never questioned before. Upon a closer inspection she saw that the walls which surrounded the school were different from the building itself, both in style and material.

In other words the walls were new.

It wasn't a slap job like she would have assumed, as the White Fang apparently hadn't been in Mistral for all that long. However as she thought about it they didn't really know how long the Fang were around anyway. Most of their information came from Lil'Miss, and speaking with her hadn't exactly given off the best impression. There was a chance that they had been lied to in terms of how long the gang had operated in the kingdom.

Of course there was also a chance that the Fang were just incredibly resourceful.

Pyrrha pushed her thoughts aside for the time being as they slipped into a door. The area was small, and yet deserted - something they were all thankful for.

Nora tore back her hood. "Finally, a chance to breath again."

"Come on." Jaune spoke up as his breathing steadied once more, having calmed down from the run. "It wasn't that bad."

"Easy for you to say." Yang said, unbuttoning her collar as her chest heaved. "You don't have to deal with how tight these can be." Pyrrha fought the urge to roll her eyes as the cloth spread, opening up and allowing Yang to breath a bit easier, all the while displaying just how much the shirt struggle to hold.

"Eyes up top Jaune." Pyrrha spoke, causing the boy to stutter and recoil.

"I wasn't looking!" She'd known that, but considering how flamboyant and teasing Yang usually was Pyrrha didn't want to risk it. Jaune was a good boy, and his usually innocent outlook and straightforward nature was more than enough back at Beacon to prove he wouldn't intentionally let his eyes wander.

"What's wrong Pyre, scared I'll steal him away?" Yang teased; just as expected. Pyrrha sent a small look to the blond, and a small smirk grew across her lips.

"Not in particular. If his constant attempts at Weiss are anything to go by I'd assume he doesn't much care for those with an overabundance of top-fat." Jaune nearly choked, and Yang let out a whistle as she puffed out her chest, angled in such a way as to allow the light to glisten off the sweat rolling between the hills; Pyrrha was not amused, although Yang clearly was.

"Damn, that was brutal. When did you suddenly get game?"

When indeed... Pyrrha chalked it up to her physical alterations again, and much like before decided to ignore the seemingly ever-growing irritability she had began to inherit. Regardless of whether it was a sign that she was losing control or not didn't matter in the heat of the moment, as they had other more pressing matters to worry about.

Matters Pyrrha made very clear with her next statement.

"Not important, right now we're headfirst in enemy territory, and I doubt the Fang will be all too happy to see us here." Her tone held a bit of edge, and it was seemingly enough to snap everyone from their distracted state and remind them they had a mission to do.

Ruby relaxed, and yet held a stern form. "Pyrrha's right, we can joke around later. It won't be long before someone wanders in here."

"True." Jaune spoke, having regained his composure. "I know plenty of times when I had to wait to go to the washroom because of other people." That was something they really didn't need to know, but considering they ended up in a washroom his words did point to a fact they had seemingly ignored until now.

People use washrooms a lot, and the creak of the door proved that.

The man had just wandered in, and even though he wore a mask the surprise was still present on his face. All of them tensed, and as he stood still Pyrrha could see from the corner of her eye that Ruby was about to make a move.

"I... thought this was the men's washroom." The grunt said, and everyone remained frozen; Ruby included. "Am... I wrong?" His voice was hesitant, and in the span of a few seconds Yang stepped forward.

"No, you're right, it is the men's washroom." She stumbled a bit. "But um... you see..." Yang scratched the back of her neck as she looked down. "Well... with the big explosion, I guess you could say we got a little spooked. We..." Yang was improvising, and Pyrrha had never been more relieved at having decided to keep her hood and mask on when they entered. "We thought we were being attacked, and..."

"It's cool." The man said as he held up a hand. "New recruits eh?"

"Yeah." Yang said as he chuckled.

"No worries then. I know the others may think you should have rushed out, but I won't rat you out. I know what it's like the first time in the heat of the moment." The man walked in, much more relaxed than moments ago. "But you saw it right? The explosion itself I mean."

"Yeah~." Yang stretched it out a bit, and the man placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Then how about you go report it, that way it looks like you came rushing back instead of running away."

"Oh, um, thanks." Yang twiddled her fingers. "Do you mind... telling us where that is. We just arrived you see, so we aren't exactly all that familiar with the layout yet."

"Not a problem. You got a scroll?" He asked, and Yang nodded, holding hers up. "Great, hold still a moment." He appeared to do some tinkering on his own before a pop-up appeared on hers.

"What's this?" She asked as the man smirked.

"I sent you a copy of the map. It's much easier than constantly asking for directions."

"But I didn't allow any pop-ups on my scroll, or even send any invites." She spoke, and Pyrrha saw how she was silently panicking.

"Don't worry about that. With the new updates in our personal network we can send data regardless of security or permissions, although it's limited to here in Mistral; we haven't gotten a chance to spread it to the other kingdoms yet from what I've been told. It's good for planting viruses or taking info."

"That's scary." Yang said, and the man only chuckled.

"Don't worry, we only do that to the shops. We don't exactly trust that Merlot guy, so we try to keep from using the tools he gave on our own." The man stepped past her, heading towards a stall. "You'll be giving the report to him so try not to look too frightened, his location is marked on the map I sent." The man's smirk turned to a line of curiosity as he stood back against the stall door. "By the way. The others said that they found someone stowed away in the train when offloading the haul. Normally I don't want to get too involved in that side of the business, but I have to ask: do you know what that's all about?"

"I... well no. We just got off after we arrived." Yang said, and the man seemed to deflate.

"Bummer. Well, don't worry about it then. I'll see you later I suppose."

"Yeah, catch you later." Yang replied, pulling up her hood again and motioning the others to follow. Once they were outside and on the move in the halls again Pyrrha heard Ren speak up.

"That was a little too convenient for my liking."

"Same feeling here." Jaune whispered. "I thought he would call us out for sure."

"We were already inside, and wearing the symbols." Pyrrha kept her voice low as they passed by more guards, waiting till they passed off into the distance before she spoke. "He must have assumed we were with them because of that."

"Still." Jaune sounded uneasy at just how close of a call it had been.

"But we got some useful information from him." Ruby kept her voice to a minimum, and despite just barely being able to hear her Pyrrha could feel the young reaper's intrigue. "Who was it they caught?"

"You worried someone's in danger again?" Yang asked, and Ruby gave a subtle nod. "I don't know if we have time to go looking for them."

"He said they were found on the train, so maybe they're still there." Ruby suggested. "And with any luck we might find something useful."

"I know you want to help them, but shouldn't we stop the Fang first?" Yang tried, only to get a worried response from her little sister.

"It might be too late then."

Yang huffed, but didn't discount the idea entirely. "What do you guy's think?"

"I don't have any strong feelings either way." Ren said, only to lower his tone. "But I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel uncomfortable about ignoring whoever it is that got captured."

"I want to help them too." Jaune spoke, and with that Pyrrha decided to back him up.

"Our leader says yes, so I suppose I shall as well."

"Of course you would say that." Yang sighed. "Fine, if we're all in on it then I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a look. They're probably guarded, but at least the map shows the layout, including where the transport goods from the train."

"How do you know that." Pyrrha asked, only for Yang to show her scroll.

"It say's 'train goods' right here."

.

"This... could have gone better."

"It could."

"Shut it."

Oscar was not happy with their current situation; being kidnapped by terrorists was not what he expected on his way to Mistral.

"Told you we should have just stolen a ticket."

"I told you we're not stealing."

"But stealing a ride is fine?"

"This is different, we're not robbing someone this way."

"Theft is still theft."

Oscar knew that, and begrudgingly he couldn't really fight it. Maybe it would have been smarter to take a ticket, but he didn't like the idea of ruining someone else's trip, especially considering how pricy tickets were, Then again their current situation didn't have much of an effect even though it really should have.

As they felt the train pull in and slow Oscar had been ready to leave; just hop out and go. Unfortunately the compartment door opened quicker than he could move, and he came face to face with who he later learned were White Fang members; according to Ozpin's analysis of the symbol tucked away on their clothing anyway.

Rather than kill him - which he was pleasantly surprised didn't happen - they instead dragged him over, tied him to a single chair, and moved the train car along. Apparently the tracks were new, and lead towards the academy. Why the Fang used their time to connect a railway to the school was beyond him, but rather than fight it he remained still the whole ride. From what he could gather they only took the car he was in, which also just so happened to be carrying supplies for the main city; said city aptly sharing the same name as the kingdom, just like the capitals of Remnant.

It would have been easier to move supplies by aircraft in his opinion, but to each their own; it looked as though the White Fang had a thing for trains.

Now had this been an occurrence back at the farm Oscar would have been terrified. Being captured by the White Fang was both a nightmare and death sentence for many, however having a mystical ghost wizard in your head tended to subdue the effects of most dangerous scenarios. Their trip to the train alone had the two set upon by the odd Grimm every now and again, and in each moment they would swap places and Ozpin would deal with the creature with his bare hands. In the instances of stronger Grimm the spiritual headmaster would seemingly cast magic to off their foes, and at one point erected a bubble shield around them.

The small rope bindings drew no terror from the farm boy, and could be easily dealt with in a moment should he hand control over to the phantom in his head.

However Ozpin urged him to stop and allow the situation to play out. Oscar would have called him crazy, but after a quick explanation the boy settled in line with the idea. In instances where people believed themselves safe and alone they tended to talk with one another, and in those moments they often share secrets which really shouldn't be said aloud. It was their plan to hopefully overhear any crucial information between the two guards waiting just outside the car, and then escape once the appropriate knowledge was gained.

"You'll be in deep shit when they find out." One guard said in disgust.

Oscar did not expect them to be discussing something so stupid.

"Come on man. Come with me tonight, just for a peek." The lecherous second replied with a snarky coating over his words.

Oscar felt his brow twitch with every second.

"They'll rip it off when they catch you." The first warned, and Oscar cringed as the second laugh.

"You know..." The second chuckled. "The hole's big enough to fit it through~"

"DUDE!" The first sounded absolutely reviled, and Oscar couldn't blame him. Oscar could hear the headmaster sigh in the back of his head.

"It would seem manners and respect have died over the years, how unfortunate."

Oscar agreed completely, he was raised to be respectful, and what he heard was anything but. When he started listening in he expected some news of their missions or progress on plans to slip out, not some loser and his excitement about finding a peep-hole.

"Creep."

"I prefer the term disappointment, but I suppose both are apt descriptions."

Oscar was happy they were both on the same page, but that didn't exactly help either of them in their current scenario; at least he was getting better at silently speaking with the ghost sharing his head.

"Can we go now? I don't think we'll be getting anything good from them."

"I suppose we've waited long enough."

Finally. Oscar was about to allow the specter to take over and break them from their binds when something caught his attention. There was a loud commotion just outside the train car. There were grunts and crashing, and just as fast as it came the noise left, gifting both the headmaster and him nothing but unsettling silence.

"Don't move, just remain still."

"And if something happens?" Oscar asked with a hint of fear.

"I'll deal with it."

"I hope you know what your doing."

Oscar did as asked and ceased his movement entirely, and in the long seconds of calm he waited. The boy didn't have to wait long though as there was a screeching of metal and the door was pulled open. A dull light shined in blinding him for several moments. As his vison returned he saw what looked like several dark blobs, with one approaching and ducking down. Through blurred vision all he could make out was that the person was female, with rather long blond hair. Before his eyesight could steady she spoke.

"Huh, it's just a kid."

Author's note

...

Next chapter, and with actual progress this time; a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

Honestly I had a lot of fun knowing I got to bring Oscar back into the fray, even if it meant the Fang might look slightly dumb again. Of course the group isn't as senseless as they seem; what do I mean by that? You'll see.

Anyway this is it for now, so feel free to let your thoughts out.

See you later.
