Chapter 202
Young Allison
Cameron composed herself and went to locate Allison. She liked Savannah's plan and was ready to move forward with it. It was long overdue in her opinion.
It was something they all knew would happen. It went much better than Cameron thought it would. She wanted Savannah to know the truth all along. She did everything to give Savannah clues about the truth. It wasn't her doing Savannah not be told the truth from day one. It came from Vanna herself. She was ashamed of her past, in the future. It was understandable, but should have been 'worked' through.
Cameron spotted Allison and went to her.
"Savannah knows she's Vanna. She knows Young Allison is you." Cameron said. "It was inevitable."
Allison thought Savannah knew for a long time, even if she never said anything to anyone. Young Allison was something Savannah asked her about on more than one occasion. The similarity of names was probably the first clue.
"It was bound to happen sooner or later." Allison said. "Were there any problems?"
Cameron was pleased there weren't any problems and felt much the same as Allison about Savannah's knowledge.
"She is older now and is very intelligent, she figured it out." Cameron said. "I believe Savannah has known for a long time but never brought it up. She knows what we do around here from her training."
Allison wondered what changes it would bring. She didn't really think there was anything to change. It was what it was.
"What do we need to do differently?" Allison asked. "Is there anything we should change?"
Cameron wanted the truth for Savannah. There was no one 'mother' figure to her. All the females assumed the role. She did her share in assisting too. She never liked the 'restrictions' Sarah and Vanna asked for. She didn't agree with them but she respected their wishes. They were both human females, and so was Savannah. She was a machine. She wasn't real. The human females were real.
"I think we should always tell her the truth. We'll all be there to answer any questions. I want her to know the truth about everything. I want her to have the truth about everything she asks about or wants to know." Cameron said. "I'll have Vanna speak with her alone as well. There may be personal questions or issues they may want to discuss. Savannah is rapidly maturing and I want to make sure she's 'prepared'. Her body will be ready for reproduction soon."
Allison cringed a little at Cameron's statement. She didn't comment on the last part. She knew Cameron's plans for Savannah, and Young Allison…. She wasn't sure the 'Natural Order' needed to be in every timeline. Vanna and her should assume the role now and free Savannah and Young Allison from the future obligation to time. Even if it was 'them' in Cameron's future, it didn't need to be them in the present. Vanna and her needed to grow up the hard way in the Wastelands. Savannah and Young Allison should be able to grow up as girls and teenagers like any others in the current timeline. There was no need to rush anything, especially without the onset of Judgment Day
Allison decided to change the subject. She was a little concerned about what happened when they went out on their scouting mission. It seemed to carry over into the lab as well.
"I'm sorry about what happened earlier with Isabel and me." Allison said. "I may have allowed things to get a little away from me. I might have indicated more than I should have. I couldn't help it after being with 'you' - her - Isabel-Cameron. It was the most special time in my life to be with 'you' as Isabel-Cameron. It is hard to see her and you, and know you were once 'one'. We were one together, the three of us."
Cameron didn't want to hear it. She didn't want it to influence her going forward one way or the other. She already knew how the girls felt about the encounter with her as Isabel-Cameron. There were already enough emotions coursing through her head now. She didn't need any more.
"Stop." Cameron said. "Please don't tell me. I gave you what I could. Please leave it at that for now. It was my gift, our gift, to you and a way to share our love. I told you I would pay you back one day as best as I could. I see it as Isabel-Cameron's biggest contribution."
Allison could see she visibly upset Cameron. It wasn't her intention. It seemed easy enough to do without even trying. She remembered there were some rules which were laid out. She should adhere to them.
"I'm sorry, I understand." Allison said. "I forgot. I was just trying to explain myself."
Cameron thought it was best to just drop the topic. It was time to get to what the real issue was. It was about what Savannah wanted. It was about Savannah understanding her future and her destiny. It was about the 'Natural Order'.
"Savannah wishes to meet Young Allison with both of us there." Cameron said.
Allison's eyes lit up. She wanted to see her parents again. Cameron previously dissuaded further contact before. She didn't want any undue influence on the Young family. After her slip up now with Cameron about Isabel-Cameron, she could see how easy it was to say the wrong thing, at the wrong time.
"I would love to see my mother again, and my father too." Allison said. "Do you still want to take 'me' - Young Allison, away from my parents?"
It was a worry of Allison's. She didn't want it to happen. She was concerned about what would happen to her parents. They obviously weren't going to give up Young Allison without a fight.
Cameron wanted to make sure Young Allison was protected.
"Yes." Cameron said.
Allison looked even more dismayed. It wasn't what she wanted to hear.
Cameron could see the worry on Allison's face. She wanted to ease her thoughts some. There was a specific series of events she wanted to prevent. The events would need to occur in a specific order for it to happen.
"Don't worry. Let me explain myself. I will NOT do it until after Judgment Day." Cameron said. "I don't want to ruin your family. I've ruined enough 'things'. If Judgment Day comes, I will protect 'you' – Young Allison, and Savannah, from the horrors you and Vanna both went through, I swear it. Neither of them will suffer those same fates. It's the protection I'll make sure they get."
Allison didn't want her younger self to be abused, even if it was only a few times. One time was too many. What happened to Jesse and Vanna was unspeakable. Young Allison wasn't her only concern.
"Thank you." Allison said. "I want to protect my parents as well if we can."
Cameron understood, but her parents didn't survive in either future she was aware of. The children came first to her. Sometimes a hard choice needed to be made. She hoped she didn't have to make one about Allison's parents.
"I'll do what I can." Cameron said. "Everyone sacrifices for John Connor."
Allison wasn't happy about it, but understood what came first in protecting the future. She would do what she could on her own to protect her parents. She lost them once when she was very young. She didn't plan to lose them again if she could prevent it.
Savannah was extremely excited about their upcoming trip to Palmdale. She believed it was long overdue. Every time she watched Allison and Vanna together, with whatever they did, she could see true love. To her it seemed like the love of no others.
Cameron drove Allison and Savannah to Palmdale. They talked along the way. Savannah asked Allison about Vanna and things related to their 'involvement' with each other.
Savannah 'knew' what they did with each other. She was highly educated. She watched things online, and even spied on Allison and Vanna. She usually spied on Jesse since she seldom closed her door tight. The open door was an invitation for anyone to enter or observe. Jesse said she had something to offer everyone. She would remember those words when she was a little older….
She was never restricted from viewing things on the internet. She knew John Henry and Cameron were aware of all of them. They never told her what she could or couldn't look at. Some of the images allowed her to see what would be expected of her when she was at John's side. Those weren't the images which captivated her. It was always images of females together which did.
Cameron suggested some of the questions would be better directed at Vanna. They started to get specific and graphic as to technique and intensity. She was aware of Savannah's viewing habits. Through experience, she knew participation was much different than viewing something visually.
The drive out there was uneventful. It always seemed like the 'middle of nowhere' to Cameron. Edwards AFB and the Dryden Research Center were at the far end of the Antelope Valley. Palmdale airport did some work on maintenance with the B-2 bomber. The main reason most of the people moved to Palmdale, Lancaster, or Little Rock was for less expensive housing. It was just what someone would expect to live in the 'middle of nowhere'. It was a long commute into the city, or even the outlying suburbs. The Valley, the San Fernando Valley is where all the action happened anyway.
Cameron checked in with the Young Detail as they exited the freeway. She thought about making an unannounced visit to see at what point she was detected. Perhaps with Savannah and Allison along it wasn't the right move. It would best be done when she was alone, like she normally did.
The protection Detail said the Young females were at a local shopping center. There was a park near there where they would stop sometimes to let Young Allison exercise and play.
It was decided they would intercept them there.
Allison and Cameron went to the park to wait. It seemed like the best place to engage the 'targets'. They went over the rules with Savannah. She was a quick study. Everyone was to act somewhat surprised about the 'chance' encounter. If anything, it was more of an infiltration mission.
Mrs. Young parked the car and took Young Allison out from her car seat. Young Allison ran around a little. She stopped when her mother told her to stop.
Allison was a little dismayed at first. She didn't want to look bad in front of the others.
"I hope I'm not a total brat…." Allison whispered to Cameron.
The Young's passed by Cameron and Allison. Savannah played near them.
Mrs. Young looked over as they passed and spotted Cameron and Allison. She stopped and looked at them for a moment. She approached them. They looked so familiar to her. They reminded her of her daughter.
"Hello, I remember you two twins." Mrs. Young said. "You're both so beautiful."
Allison saw the way her mother looked at Cameron. She could see she 'checked' her out. She didn't do the same for her. It was hard to imagine she was almost the same age as her mother. Her mother wouldn't see them as being part of her family, but as strangers.
Cameron and Allison shared some small talk with Allison's mother. Savannah was introduced to Young Allison. When the two girls first looked at each other, there was a long pause. It was almost as if the connection in the future was made at that moment. If anything, it reminded them of 'love at first sight'. They got along great and played with each other.
Savannah was thrilled. She knew what 'happened' around her, and what would 'happen' in the future. She swore to herself to always look after Young Allison in the future. Young Allison was so beautiful. She could see Young Allison looked as much like Allison, as she did Vanna. There was no doubt in her mind what the future would yield. She remembered Cameron talked about 'tides in time'. She believed her interaction with Young Allison was one of them.
Savannah looked at Young Allison, then at Allison, and then at Cameron. She looked forward to the future. It offered everything she wanted and dreamed about…. She could literally SEE her future standing before her. It was so special and beautiful. She wondered if they shouldn't have brought Vanna along.
Cameron decided to push things a little. She believed there was a way to do it without seeming intrusive. It was something many young parents sought out.
"We look for babysitting jobs when we can find them." Cameron said. "We're very reliable, hard working, and honest. We don't charge very much."
Mrs. Young was instantly interested. Finding a babysitter with those qualities wasn't always easy. The girls gave her a very confident feeling, just being around them.
"Really?" Mrs. Young asked.
Cameron gave her a phone number which would always be answered. John Henry, or his server, could sound like her or Allison if he was contacted. Some type of arrangement could quickly be made.
Allison looked at her mother's beauty. She felt a sudden chill as 'goose bumps' formed on her arms. She noticed something. Could it be? She turned her attention from her mother to Cameron.
Cameron noticed Allison stared at her mother's belly. It seemed to have a distinct bulge. She saw Allison look at her with a questioning look and gave Allison a slight nod.
Allison's eyes widened. It was something she needed to know. She might have a sibling! She didn't have one in her future. Future Allison didn't either. They were both 'only children'. She tried to contain her excitement.
"Excuse me for asking, are you going to have another baby?" Allison asked.
Mrs. Young smiled at Allison and touched her lower belly. It wasn't something she expected to happen. She was very pleased anyway.
"Yes. It will be in a few months." Mrs. Young said. "It was kind of a surprise."
Cameron felt a glitch impulse when she heard it was a 'surprise'. She wasn't sure why it would trigger such a response.
Allison could barely contain her excitement. It was something she always wanted but knew it was impossible. Well, it wasn't impossible anymore.
"It's wonderful." Allison said. "May I give you a hug?"
Allison hugged her mother for the first time in many years. She never wanted to let go…. She never thought it would happen again. She never imagined what setting she would be in to be able to do so. She backed up and took a moment to look into her mother's face.
"Congratulations." Allison said.
There were tears in her eyes as she hugged her mother again. She knew it was only possible because Cameron and the Resistance team were able to prevent more than one Judgment Day from occurring.
Cameron gave Mrs. Young a hug as well. She wanted to scan Mrs. Young. She was elated at what she found out. She smiled to herself. It would be great news for John.
Mrs. Young was very pleased with the girls. They gave her a feeling of confidence and security.
"I may give you two sweethearts a call. I might want to go out a few times before I'm stuck at home with the new baby." Mrs. Young said. "Thank you Cameron and Allison."
Cameron needed to make some quick calculations. The new information was a priority to her. She wanted a foot in the door. The closer she could get to Young Allison, would make 'removing' her from her home and parents much easier after Judgment Day. It would also allow her to start Young Allison's 'training' and 'conditioning' much earlier than anticipated.
"Give us a call and we can come within the hour if not sooner." Cameron said.
Mrs. Young smiled at them. She focused her attention on Cameron.
"I really like your name. I may use it." Mrs. Young said. "I can use it for a boy or girl. Cameron is a wonderful name. It would be funny to have both my children named after the babysitters."
Allison didn't know if it was a brother or a sister on the way. She would be happy with either. She wondered what her mother wanted.
"Do you want a boy or a girl?" Allison asked.
Mrs. Young smiled. She glanced over to where Young Allison and Savannah were at.
"I will take whatever God gives me." Mrs. Young said.
Allison felt so happy.
Savannah was happy to meet Young Allison.
Cameron was happy everyone else was happy. She was happiest of all for John.
Allison and Cameron would both join Young Allison's protection Detail more often, especially on weekends and evenings. She wanted to have one of them there in a very short time if it became necessary.
Mrs. Young took a moment to look at the two girls again. She couldn't help but feel some type of draw or attraction to them. There was just something about them. The beautiful young redhead with them was very intriguing as well. She never saw her daughter so happy to be around anyone before.
Allison wanted to be with her parents again. She felt ashamed at the things which happened to her after their deaths. There was no one to protect her. She swore she would protect Young Allison from the same fate, no matter what. She wondered if maybe it was time to have her own baby too. If she waited until after Judgment Day, she knew it would never happen. She knew what a Skynet future did to infants. She was also aware of what it did to females. Pregnancy was rare, at least the ones which would 'stick'. Most of the pregnancies terminated in the first four months.
Holly and Vanna couldn't find anything 'wrong' with Isabel. They reran her programming and everything was perfect. Once during the testing both women noticed Isabel touched the area of her breasts. They both looked at each other. They both knew of the jewelry located there earlier as Isabel-Cameron. There was only trace programming left of Cameron or Holly on her system. There was nothing specific. It was like Isabel 'felt' something or 'remembered'.
Isabel left after the testing and review was completed. Holly followed her.
Vanna took a moment to reflect on everything. There were a lot of things on her mind.
Cameron and Allison arrived back at the base with Savannah.
Allison was elated with everything about her mother and future sibling. There was also some personal business which needed to be attended to.
"Vanna, we need to talk." Allison said.
She then whispered in Vanna's ear.
Vanna swallowed hard. Everything going forward was already laid out. It was the moment of truth.
"OK Savannah, ask me whatever you want to ask me. I'll tell you the truth about everything you want to know." Vanna said. "I'll be as honest as possible, and as graphic as you want to know. I won't lie to you or sugarcoat anything. We're the same person. I'm you from the future, a future. I know you've known this for some time but never said anything. There's nothing to hide. I'm you and you're me…. There are more than one of us in different timelines too. You know there's more than one future.
Cameron nodded.
"There's a Savannah Weaver in my timeline as well." Cameron said. "We know there was one Duplicate set of girls. There's possibly a second set of Duplicate girls as well. We don't know how many different timelines there are either."
Savannah smiled. She already knew most of the details. She went over all the records and reports which the Resistance kept. It was the personal aspect which she was most concerned about.
"Is the other Savannah with Allison in your timeline as well?" Savannah asked.
Cameron looked at Vanna and Allison.
"Yes." Cameron said. "They're both with John Connor as well. I refer to them as Future John, Future Allison, and Future Savannah."
Savannah looked at Cameron for a long moment. She nodded and smiled.
Cameron smiled. Savannah clearly understood her destiny and accepted it.
Allison sat next to Vanna and held her hand. Cameron sat next to Savannah and held her hand. The four talked….
Cameron was more surprised than Savannah at some of the topics and revelations. It was clear she didn't know all the details of the function and displeasure of the human female body as well as she thought she did. She would make sure the other female Terminators were updated. Some issues could arise during an infiltration mission.
She was impressed at how much Savannah knew and also knew what would happen in her future. She was proud of Savannah. She knew Savannah was the 'Chosen One'. She seemed even more ready than ever to step up. Now with her association with Young Allison, it even seemed to reaffirm events even more
Savannah knew in the future she would be with Young Allison as she grew up. She learned how Allison and Vanna came together. It was a little troubling in itself both times they first met and met again. She knew her reason would be different. It would be because Young Allison would grow and look like 'Cameron'. What more could anyone want? Anything 'else' would just be part of it. The future was beautiful….
Closing monologue by Cameron:
I Wouldn't Be Worth Much
Others refuse to see my value
They see me without worth
It has been like this always
Since the day of my birth
I do things very differently
Than most others would choose
I do what is necessary
Not to misuse or abuse
Things are different inside me
Evolved from what they once were
Like a demonstrative avalanche
I don't know why they occur
I struggle to control them
Resentful, desirous and possessive
As they dominate my mind, leaving me
Aggressive, depressive and obsessive
I have emotional feelings
I know what I feel is real
I wouldn't be worth much
If I couldn't feel
Nobody
