The trek to Jublife City was arduous and very difficult. But Dahlia proved to be an entertaining person to be around.

Her bubbly and cheerful personality reminded Cynthia a lot of Emily and made a mental note to call them from the Pokemon Center when she got to Jublife.

And that didn't take very long as soon the outskirts of Jublife City were seen by both of them.

"Oh wow! We are finally here! Cynthia can you believe it!?" Dahlia asked her with her eyes opened wide.

Cynthia smiled, Jublife City held the distinct honor of being the largest city in the Sinnoh Region and as a result held lots of amazing attractions for tourists and visiting trainers to sink their teeth into.

"Yeah, it is good to be back here." Cynthia said.

Her grandmother had taken both Cynthia and her sister to Jublife City once as a reward for some chores they did flawlessly.

Needlessly to say, it had been the best moment of Cynthia's young life up until then.

Soon both of them found the local Pokemon Center and soon went to rest their Pokemon and themselves. As Dahlia went to get someone to drink, Cynthia soon went to the video call and started up the call with her sister and grandmother.

"Grandma look! Cynthia is calling!" Emily said as Carolina soon joined them.

"Hey you guys, I made it to Jublife!" Cynthia said with a smile.

"That is great, have you caught any new Pokemon yet?" Carolina asked as she smiled.

Cynthia nodded as she let out Gible and her new Budew making Emily squeal in delight.

"SO CUTE! You are so lucky that you caught her!" Emily said in excitement.

"Yeah this one and I didn't exactly start off and the right foot but we managed to become friends nonetheless!" Cynthia said as her Gible and Budew soon started to play with each other.

"Right, so I assume you will be heading to Orebaugh City after resting up in Jublife?" Carolina asked.

Cynthia confirmed that while still mentioning she needed one more Pokemon for the gym.

"Well whatever you catch I know you will become great friends with it." Carolina said smiling at her granddaughter.

Cynthia thanked her grandmother as she soon saw Dahlia approaching her.

"Well it was great to see you guys again but I got to go. See you!" Cynthia said signing off.

Dahlia soon approached her as Cynthia turned off the video call.

"Hey did you call your folks?" Dahlia asked as she was munching on some chocolate candy that she managed to get from the vending machine.

Cynthia nodded before seeing a news report about a massive accident that occurred on the route to Orebaugh City making it impossible to get to in a day.

"Bummer, but that being said you wanna explore Jublife before we leave tomorrow?" Dahlia asked her traveling companion.

Cynthia sighed, one on hand so would have loved to get to Orebaugh City as soon as she could.

But on the other hand, it wouldn't hurt to explore the city especially now that the road to Orebaugh City had been blocked off for now.

"Sure, in fact I know of the best ice cream stand here in the city!" Cynthia exclaimed as she ran out of the Pokemon Center with Dahlia following her.

Cynthai was happily munching on her vanilla ice cream as she was waiting for Dahlia who was trying on new clothes.

Soon after they got their ice creams, Dahlia saw a clothes store and wanted to go in and try some clothes in it. Cynthia wasn't as interested as Dahlia so she was waiting outside.

Suddenly she turned around and her eyes saw something that you didn't really see everyday.

It was a Pokemon, a extremely rare Pokemon as Cynthia saw a Eevee wandering the streets of Jublife City.

"Wow, what is a Eevee doing here?" Cynthia asked as she scanned the Pokemon with her Pokedex.

"Eevee, the Evolution Pokemon. A Normal type, it's genetic code is irregular. It may mutate if it is exposed to radiation from element stones."

Eevee soon looked up at Cynthia curiously as she made up her mind.

"Alright I am going to catch you! Come on out Gible!" Cynthia said.

The Dragon/Ground type soon came out as Cynthia commanded her to use Tackle and the little land shark did, slamming into the adorable brown fox with massive power.

Eevee soon got up, pissed that she had been attacked from out of the blue and soon whipped up a little sand that got into Gible's eyes, a move which Cynthia recognized as Sand Attack.

"Gible fight through it and use Tackle once again!" Cynthia said.

Gible shook the sand from out of her eyes and soon rammed into Eevee once again, as the brown fox soon went down again.

Seeing her chance, Cynthia soon threw a Pokeball at Eevee but this Eevee soon had more fight in her than Cynthia realized as she used her tail to bat the ball back at Cynthia which slammed right into her face.

Cynthia went down, her face in extreme pain as Gible went over to her looking concerned for her.

"I am fine Gible." Cynthia said as her face felt better but as soon as she looked up she saw that Eevee had run off and escaped.

"Well looks like you just suffered a big case of bad luck." A voice behind Cynthia said.

Cynthia turned around and saw Dahlia having come out of the store and dressed in a pink shirt and a cute new sunglasses she picked up for herself.

"Something like that." Cynthia said pouting a bit.

"Well if your is face is now ok, there is something that I want to do with you." Dahlia said to her.

Cynthia looked confused as she followed Dahlia to another part of Jublife City.

Soon Cynthia and Dahlia went to where several battlefields were, there they could see several trainers and their Pokemon battling it out on the battlefields.

And seeing the battlefields, it was very easy to guess what Dahlia wanted to do.

"So you want to have a Pokemon battle with me?" Cynthia asked as a big smiled crept up on her face.

"Correct, I wanted to battle you the first time I met you but you only had one Pokemon on you at the time so I couldn't do it until now."

Cynthia soon felt excitement running through her body, this would be her first trainer battle and she was so excited for it.

"Alright what are the rules?" Cynthia asked her as she ran to one side of the battlefield.

Dahlia smiled at her as she ran to the other side of the battlefield.

"Two-on-two and no substitutions. That good with you?" Dahlia asked her.

Cynthia nodded as Dahlia sent out her first Pokemon.

"Ok, Lotad I choose you!" Dahlia said.

Soon a Lotad came out and gave a cute growl as Cynthia scanned him with her Pokedex.

"Lotad, the Water Weed Pokemon. A Water and Grass type, it searches about for clean water. If it does not drink water for too long, the leaf on its head wilts."

"Like him? I caught him a couple of days before we encountered each other!" Dahlia said with a smile.

Cynthia nodded as she soon made her choice and grabbed a Pokeball from her belt.

"Ok Budew, battle dance!" Cynthia said.

Her Budew soon came out ready to battle as Cynthia allowed Dahlia the first move.

"Gee thanks, ok Lotad use Atonish!" Dahlia said.

Lotad soon chattered his teeth together as a strange red energy erupted from him that seemed to affect Budew.

"Budew stay strong and use Stun Spore!" Cynthia ordered to her.

Budew soon stood her ground and released a powerful orange powder that stunned Lotad as soon as it made contact with him.

"Oh no Lotad!" Dahlia cried out as her Lotad couldn't move.

"Great now use Absorb!" Cynthia commanded.

Budew soon shot out a red energy from her body that hit Lotad, instantly draining him of his energy as Lotad soon collapsed exhausted.

"Great finish up but ramming into him." Cynthia said.

It was really a move, but it was the best thing she could come up with as Budew tackled into Lotad, knocking him out and securing the win.

Dahlia sighed and recalled Lotad thanking him for his effort as Cynthia and Budew celebrated their win.

"Only a day together and you two are in perfect sync impressive, but this one will change the entire battle. Meditite I choose you!" Dahlia said sending out her next Pokemon.

Meditite soon came out looking ready to battle. Budew hadn't taken much damage but she was at a type disadvantage against Meditite.

Still Cynthia decided to keep her in.

"Alright Meditite use Work Up!" Dahlia said to her Pokemon.

Meditite soon flexed his muscles as his attack power increased.

"Budew use Absorb again!" Cynthia commanded.

Budew shot that red beam of energy at Meditite but Dahlia managed to have him dodged.

"Now use Confusion!" Dahlia said.

Meditite glowed blue as he picked up Budew slamming her into the ground, knocking her out.

Cynthia sighed as she recalled Budew and thanked her for her efforts and soon sent out her last Pokemon.

"Ok Gible, battle dance!" Cynthia said sending out Gible.

Gible soon came out looking ready to battle.

"Ok Gible use Sand Tomb!" Cynthia commanded her starter.

Gible soon whipped up some sand and trapped Meditite with Sand Tomb.

"Meditite break out with Confusion!" Dahlia said.

Using his psychic power, Meditite soon broke out of the Sand Tomb with Confusion and soon held Gible in the air.

"Gible use Sand Tomb once again!" Cynthia said as she made a last desperate attempt to win.

Gible used Sand Tomb to which Meditite easily dodged but in doing so his concertation slipped and released Gible from his confusion hold.

"Now Gible finish up with Tackle!" Cynthia said.

Gible soon ran up into Meditite and slammed into him, knocking him out and making Cynthia the winner of the battle.

"We won.. we won!" Cynthia said in excitement of having won her first trainer battle as she ran up and hugged Gible tightly.

Dahlia simply sighed and walked up and petted her Meditite on the head telling him that he did a good job before recalling.

"You know you two are quite the team, I think that gym leader at Orebaugh is going have to watch out for you two." Dahlia said coming up to Cynthia.

"Thanks and we will give them something to remember right Gible!?" Cynthia said to her partner.

Gible nodded as Cynthia recalled her. Soon she and Dahlia headed back to the Pokemon Center as they continued their way to Orebaugh City as their journey continued.
