Chapter 207
Infiltrated
Cameron and Allison entered their SUV and departed the Young residence.
Everything went better than planned.
Cameron wanted to get back to the base and inform John about the successful mission.
The drive back to the base would be about an hour. Cameron was very pleased at how the mission went. It didn't seem Allison wanted to talk about it. It made her wonder if she did something 'wrong'. She went back over the infiltration mission in her mind. She didn't see any mistakes on her part. She didn't tell Allison she responded to her mother when she was asleep.
They were only on the freeway for ten minutes, when she received an alert through her com. She was a little surprised to hear from John Henry.
"There's some police activity in your vicinity." John Henry said.
Normally John Henry redirected all law enforcement agencies, as well as any first responders, a few miles away from where they were at. It sounded like trouble. It was definitely something out of the ordinary. She wanted to make sure Allison was kept up to speed.
"What's the problem?" Cameron asked. "Send everything to Allison as well."
Allison sat up in her seat when Cameron said it. She began to receive what Cameron did.
"Four men in a black sedan robbed a convenience store and shot the clerk when he wouldn't let them take the female assistant he worked with away with them." John Henry said.
Allison was alarmed at the news. She understood the type of behavior. There was only one cure for it. It was termination.
"Scavengers…." Allison said. "Did they get the girl?"
Allison began to picture the things being done to the female as a captive. John Henry's response gave her a little less worry.
"No." John Henry said. "She was the one who called the police. It sparked a multi-agency response. They want the violent predators off of the street. They're bound to act in the same way again."
Cameron didn't see what the problem was. The location of the incident wasn't near where they were at.
"You can redirect the authorities elsewhere away from us." Cameron said.
Allison touched Cameron's arm. She wanted to join the hunt. She understood the nature of the predators. They were a threat to the future.
"They're Scavengers, Cameron." Allison said. "They will be after Judgment Day anyway. Let's stop them if we can."
Cameron looked over at Allison. She could see it was important to her. She didn't mind dealing with future Scavengers when the opportunity presented itself. She did so quite often in her free time.
"How close is any of this to us?" Cameron asked.
John Henry felt his call was more of a warning to them. They soon might be in the middle of it.
"It went down three minutes ago a half mile from where you were at when I first contacted you. There's a good chance they will make a run for it on the freeway. It's late and there is little traffic."
Cameron fully understood the nature of the threat. The future Scavengers may be headed towards them from behind. Depending upon the nature of the pursuit when they neared, the future Scavengers could involve them in an accident, or even shoot at them. They already shot one person.
Allison looked around and behind them. She unhooked her seat belt and was about ready to climb over the seat to get to the long guns in the back. She watched Cameron check over the inventory of weapons in the rear of the SUV before they left. They could hold off a small army if it was necessary.
"Let me get some firepower." Allison said.
Cameron watched her mirrors. She spotted a threat.
"Stay where you are and make sure your seat belt is on." Cameron said.
Allison re-hooked her seat belt and looked behind them. She didn't spot any headlights.
"What is it?" Allison asked. "I don't see anything."
Cameron increased her speed. She wanted to be only slightly slower than the pursuing vehicle which approached in the darkness.
"There's a dark car closing on us. It is driving without its lights on." Cameron said. "It's moving fast."
Allison watched as Cameron pulled her Glock out. She already held her Model 66 in her hand. She wasn't even sure when she pulled it. It may have been as soon as she put her safety belt back on. She wanted to be ready. She wanted to be able to deal with the future Scavengers if it became necessary.
Cameron pushed it up to ninety miles an hour. She wanted the vehicle to overtake them, but not too fast. They would probably speed up to pass her anyway.
She put down her side window. Cool air flooded the SUV. She held the Glock in her right hand.
Allison looked back. She could now see the dark shape closing on them. Cameron moved over so they would be passed on the left side. The assailants were almost up to them.
Cameron waited until they were ten feet in back of them on her left side. She wanted to stay in front of the car. In one swift motion she tromped on the accelerator, leaned over and fired two shots.
Both of the front tires on the blacked out sedan exploded. The sedan swerved out of control and spun out behind them. Cameron slowed. The sedan rolled over three times and flipped once. Before it landed on its side and stopped.
Cameron was able to see all four bodies ejected from the tumbling wreck before it came to a halt. None of them moved. It appeared several of the assailants lost limbs in the chaos. It was typical of a high speed crash when the occupants of the vehicle weren't wearing their safety belts.
Allison could see she wasn't going to need to use her Model 66.
"Wow!" Allison said. "Did you see that?"
Cameron put up her side window and tucked her Glock away. The threat was over. Justice was served. Four threats to the future were eliminated.
"I did." Cameron said.
Cameron resumed normal driving speed. She normally drove at ten miles an hour above the speed limit. She stayed with the flow of traffic otherwise.
Allison still continued to look back at the carnage behind them. She was still impressed by the bodies flying out of the tumbling vehicle. They were traveling well over a hundred miles an hour at the time of the incident. There wasn't much she could see any longer.
"It was totally awesome." Allison said. "They got what they deserved for trying to take the girl. I'm glad they didn't get her. It still must have been traumatic for her to experience. I feel sorry for the man who stopped them. He did the right thing, even at a great cost to himself."
Cameron was very pleased with her efforts to bring the crime spree to an abrupt end. She was sure the punishment she administered was more severe than what the perpetrators would have received when they went before the justice system. The justice system was slanted in favor of the criminals, rather than the victims. It made her wonder what was wrong with some humans who thought criminals had rights, and victims didn't.
"Scratch four." Cameron said.
She informed John Henry the threat was neutralized.
Allison put her Model 66 away. She was worried about the clerk who prevented the girl from being taken by the criminals.
"Do you know anymore about the person who was shot?" Allison asked.
Cameron checked with John Henry.
"Their gunshot wound wasn't too severe." Cameron said. "They will make a good recovery, but we'll need a few weeks off from work. The female employee wasn't harmed physically."
Allison frowned slightly. She didn't think the physical recovery of the female who was nearly abducted would be the problem. It would be the mental anguish and trauma associated with it. The physical events would always be over relatively quickly. It was the mental anguish which lingered for days, months, and even years. Some of it never went away. Even if it did, it could reappear in an instant and bring back all the bad memories associated with it.
Cameron wanted to get back to the Resistance base and tell John the good news. She wondered how he was going to take it, or if it was going to be a problem. It was very frustrating for her. He seemed to be unable to understand her long range plans for him and how best to protect him. It seemed rather straight forward to her. There were often times where she wondered if he was afflicted by some type of learning disability. His instinct for survival should trump any misguided emotional issues.
They arrived back at the base. Allison went off to find Vanna and Jesse to tell them the good news about the four Scavengers, and how Cameron took them down.
Cameron found John in their room. She wanted to get straight to the point.
"I've successfully infiltrated the Young residence. I'm closer to Young Allison. She can be protected better and more efficiently now." Cameron said. "It makes me very pleased."
Cameron was elated. John's future could be better protected now. She didn't point out the added bonus about Allison's mother, or her sibling on the way.
John wasn't impressed. He saw a more sinister motive.
"Did you do it so it would be easier for you to kidnap her?" John asked.
John's attitude instantly upset Cameron, again.
Cameron didn't see it as being any different than how Savannah was protected. She was protected as best as possible from Skynet, as well as potential future Scavengers. Technically, Savannah would be an orphan with both of her parents dead.
"It's called 'Protective Custody'. It would be for her benefit, and for her survival." Cameron said. "Besides, she is very 'attached' to me."
John shook his head. He could only imagine what was involved. He doubted any of it was done above board, without Cameron's scheming behind it
"It sounds like some form of manipulation. I wouldn't doubt it from you." John said "You seem to have a way to always get what YOU want."
Cameron was angry now because John hadn't done what she wanted previously, and what she ASKED him to do. No. TOLD him to do. John was going to need an attitude adjustment. His lack of support for her, and her actions, never sat well with her. There were a few harsh realities she wanted to mention as well.
"I only do what's necessary to protect John Connor and those I love. I must protect the future and defeat Skynet." Cameron said. "it's my function. It's not to masquerade as a female, or a 'wife', or serve you as a 'love machine' for your sexual pleasure."
Now John was irritated. He didn't see it the same way at all. He was more than aware of how Cameron operated.
"I've seen the lengths you'll go to and the 'sacrifices' you're willing to make." John said.
Cameron was in a combative mood now. Maybe she hadn't wound down yet from the encounter with the future Scavengers. She would have liked to have stopped and snapped each of their necks, even if they were already terminated. It would give her personal satisfaction to know the job was thoroughly completed.
"Never doubt my resolve or abilities." Cameron said. "I'm invincible, I'm eternal."
When John heard the words Savannah always said, he backed off. He didn't want to fight. He didn't want to be reminded Savannah was the only one who never gave up on Cameron. It didn't matter how bleak the outcome looked. He would try to change the direction the conversation was headed.
"You're also pretty, beautiful, and smoking Hot." John said.
Cameron started to back off, but forged ahead.
"Am I?" Cameron asked. "Show me you believe in ME and do as I ask. Do as I want. You MUST to be 'protected'."
John hung his head in resignation. He could already tell the conversation was about to spiral out of control.
"And here we go again…." John said.
He lifted his head slowly.
Cameron was frustrated. She thought about some of the past events, and how traumatic they were for her. She really wondered about John's ability to comprehend.
"How many times must I die? Does it take for me to terminate, or perish, in FRONT of you to make you do as you inevitably MUST?" Cameron asked. "What don't you get?"
John tried to keep it civil. It didn't work. He didn't like to have the same conversation, over and over.
"NO! Maybe it's time…." John said in resignation.
Cameron instantly perked up. She wondered if she made a breakthrough.
"It's what I 'want'." Cameron said.
John thought about how Cameron did things, and played the game.
"And you always win…." John said.
Cameron smiled. She didn't see a problem with it. It was the whole point to do something in the first place.
"It's inevitable…." Cameron said. "You should know it by now."
John threw his hands in the air above his head. There wasn't much he could do.
"Whatever!" John said.
Cameron thought maybe John needed to deal with Rosie, Rosie Palm, for a while. She could replay a file. He could 'play with himself'.
She would determine the duration of his 'punishment' based on any further attitude problems. A 'sexual diet' always assisted with compliance issues. From what she read in Cosmo, it wasn't an uncommon occurrence. It tended to have great influence. Well, in civilized nations anyway. There were some countries which hadn't moved too far past the Stone Age with the treatment of females as equals.
Cameron could see there were a lot of things she needed to do. She was spread pretty thin at times. Oftentimes things needed to be done simultaneously. She couldn't really be in two spots at the same time. There was a possible solution available to her. She considered reloading her program back into Isabel. It would be so she could be in two places at once.
She could introduce Isabel as a 'good friend' from out of the area who needed a place to stay. The Young residence contained two extra bedrooms. One would be for the new baby, and the other one was a spare. As 'Isabel', she could do the housekeeping in exchange for room and board. Allison, Holly, Gail, and her would make frequent visits to see their 'friend' Isabel.
John Henry listened to the explanation with John. He was aware Cameron was unable to get along with 'herself'. He was less than impressed. He felt he needed to point it out.
"Is it wise to do?" John Henry asked. "The last time there were two of you…."
Cameron viewed it as working together as one, not as 'someone different'. She believed if things were set up from the start with different parameters, there wouldn't be a problem.
"It would be something else. It would be a long term infiltration mission." Cameron said. "It wouldn't be a 'replacement' mission."
It seemed unwise to John no matter how it was viewed. Things hadn't played out very well in the past. They were actually quite contentious, and even dangerous at times. He felt the need to mention some of the difficulties previously experienced.
"What if you have some 'problems' again?" John asked.
What Cameron proposed seemed a lot like the road she went down the first time with Isabel.
Cameron hoped to build in a few safeguards. It wasn't anything different than she did originally with Isabel-Cameron.
"We can download Holly's program as well, if she will agree." Cameron said.
John Henry understood how Cameron could influence someone. No. It wasn't someone, it was everyone.
"Is anyone going to say 'no' to you?" John Henry asked.
Cameron was reminded about the individual who did say 'no' to her before on multiple occasions. The very thought of what happened before angered her again.
"John said 'no' to me as Isabel before." Cameron said. "I'm still irritated about it. I don't see how he could possibly reject someone with a sheath who looked like Isabel did."
Cameron glared at John. It made him feel uneasy. He was sure her eyes glowed red momentarily.
John Henry left. He didn't want to get into the personal 'discussion'. It was a 'no win' scenario for everyone. He didn't believe he would be able to add anything to the conversation. Cameron was obviously going to do what she wanted to do, just like she always did.
John wanted to make a point and tease Cameron a little.
"About that, if you're Isabel again, and I know it's YOU, can we have some private time together? I mean the two, or three, of us?" John asked. "I'd like a 'three way' with two of YOU."
John pictured how he would be able to deal with Cameron and new Isabel-Cameron at the same time. He already pictured one scenario where he would be able to service both of them at the same time. The thought of watching them together, further excited him. While one of them serviced the other, he could move in behind one of them and take care of his business simultaneously.
Cameron was somewhat intrigued by the thought. There were a few scenarios she could think of. The results of some of them caused her to smile. She wanted to throw some more incentive out there for John.
"Yes. I'm your wife. Isabel will be ME. You may do as you wish and share as much as you want." Cameron said. "If I go along with it, I'll have Allison, Vanna, and Jesse in my place in the mornings three days a month, each. No questions asked. You will provide them with sexual comfort. You will immediately be able to have sexual access to five females every month."
John quickly realized what Cameron's involvement with the girls would revolve around in regards to him. It was obvious it would be timed to get them pregnant. He wanted to see how far Cameron would go.
"It's a deal." John said.
Cameron tilted her head slightly. It wasn't the usual negativity she expected to hear from John in regards to such matters.
"Really?" Cameron asked somewhat confused.
John continued to push the issue. He wanted Cameron to understand exactly what her plan entailed.
"Yes." John said. "It is what you want, right? You want me to hold other women in my arms and fill them with my 'seed'."
It seemed John missed the point. It wasn't about the sex.
"Yes." Cameron said. "It IS what I want, to PROTECT you."
John pushed it a little more. He was interested to see how Cameron would play her cards.
"Who will be first?" John said. "When YOU are really ready, send one in."
Cameron smiled. She would grab the first one she spotted.
"Do you have a choice?" Cameron asked.
John tried to interject a little reality to the situation.
"YOU." John said.
The smile faded from Cameron's face. She could tell John's learning disability seemed to reappear.
"Do you have a second choice?" Cameron asked.
John looked directly at her.
"You." John said.
Cameron now developed a frown. The conversation was clearly going to go nowhere. She knew they were other ways to play the game. It wouldn't be anything new to her.
"Don't be surprised when it really will be one of them. YOU ARE going to do what I want. What you MUST do. It's inevitable." Cameron said. "You MUST be protected."
John figured Cameron would 'hit low' now. He was aware how she manipulated the girls into starting a relationship with the three of them.
"I don't doubt you one bit. Are you going to use drugs or booze on me first?" John asked.
Cameron didn't like John's challenge. It was never over until she 'won'. Even if it seemed like 'winning' was really more like 'losing' in this case for her.
"I'll do whatever it takes. Once it's done, it will be easier and easier each 'next time' for ALL of us." Cameron said. "You can't stop me."
John knew the conversation wouldn't go anywhere. All he could do to make his point was indicate a comparison which Cameron could understand.
"I don't think anyone can stop you, even yourself anymore, 'Mrs. Weaver'." John said.
All expression faded from Cameron's face. She didn't care for his analogy.
"Nice insult. We're machines. I'm a machine. I can't be bargained with. I can't be reasoned with. I don't feel pity or remorse or fear! And I absolutely won't stop ever, until you comply!" Cameron said.
Her eyes now glowed red.
John was afraid he may have pushed her too hard as he tried to call her bluff.
He quickly remembered Cameron didn't bluff.
John knew he'd pushed Cameron too far. He wondered who would end up in his bed first. Cameron wasn't about to back down. He hoped it would be Allison. Maybe it was time to 'compare'. It was something which was in his mind quite often. Maybe it wasn't a big deal like Cameron said. He didn't think to be with the human girls a few times would be a problem. What could it hurt anyway? It would just be some good clean sex, with maybe a dash of love thrown in.
Cameron went in search of Holly. She found her in her room.
They sat on the bed together. Both of them leaned back and looked at the ceiling as they talked. Their feet rested on the ground.
Cameron went over her plan with Holly.
Holly wanted to please Cameron.
"I'll do as you ask." Holly said.
Cameron didn't think Holly sounded very enthusiastic. She wondered if she was too assertive.
"Is it what you want to do freely?" Cameron asked.
Holly looked over at Cameron and smiled. There were some good aspects to the experience.
"Yes." Holly said. "To share existence with you is beautiful."
Holly took Cameron's hand. She possessed her own desires as well.
"You know what I really 'want'." Holly said.
Cameron's face remained indifferent.
"I do." Cameron said. "You know the answer."
Holly gave a faint smile this time. Sometimes something needed to be said.
"I do." Holly said. "I just wanted to SAY it. I needed to say it to you."
The two Terminators looked back at the ceiling. It seemed to be a 'dead end'.
Cameron was aware the discussion was coming. She always kept a few cards to play.
"Vanna and Allison are having some 'trouble'." Cameron said. "Allison could use a 'friend'."
Cameron felt a 'twinge' pass through Holly's chassis. She clearly struck an emotional nerve. She definitely got her attention.
She turned her head and looked at Holly, who turned her head to meet her gaze.
Holly previously hadn't wanted to be an interloper in a relationship. She wanted to understand Cameron's offer thoroughly. She would need a few safeguards, as well as some insurance.
"You will approve this?" Holly asked. "There must be no turning back or terminations. Don't dangle something in front of me, and then take it away."
Cameron squeezed Holly's hand gently. She wanted some comfort for Holly, as well as increased protection for Allison.
"You both need a 'friend'. Allison does look a lot like 'me'." Cameron said. "If you're 'ready'?"
Holly knew it was her 'long time' dream. She wanted more for quite some time.
"I am." Holly said. "It's what I want."
Cameron was very aware of Holly's secret desire.
"It's what you want and have wanted." Cameron said. "She's the ONE you've wanted all along."
Holly actually possessed another desire even longer.
"She is, but I still 'hoped' for you." Holly said.
Cameron was ready to set everything into motion.
"Let's get Isabel as 'Me' online, and I will help you and Allison…." Cameron said.
Holly and Cameron sat up.
"Thank you." Holly said. "Allison has been my second choice, always."
Holly kissed Cameron on the cheek. She wondered how the new reiteration of Isabel would be referred to. The first two attempts at Isabel left more than a little to be desired.
"Will we still call her Isabel, or Cambel, Isron, Camille, Holron, or I.C.?" Holly asked.
Cameron found some of the names amusing by their combination of the two programs involved.
"'Icy' is good, but we will just call her Isabel." Cameron said. "Hollison, or is it Ally?"
'Ally' was pronounced like 'alley'.
Holly looked forward with anticipation as to when and how Cameron could help her get 'closer' to Allison….
As long as Cameron wouldn't block her path, Holly knew she could reach Allison on her own. It was clear it was something they both thought about. It seemed previously they'd both been afraid to act.
It appeared everything was about to change.
Closing monologue by Cameron:
Infiltrated
With those who touch our heart
We're soon captivated
As the feelings grow and expand
We may become infatuated
If we're rebuffed
We become frustrated
We work hard to plant love's seed
To grow and flourish as it is cultivated
We seek companionship
So we're no longer isolated
We want there to be sharing
Without anyone feeling obligated
Things may progress fast or slow
They can grow tense and complicated
Leaving one or both deflated
When they would rather feel elated
Into the other's heart we seep
Without anyone feeling infiltrated
Where the love will grow and expand
Together as one it will be consummated
Nobody
