Chapter 211

Day Dream

John, Bob, and Dan waited to attack a group which went by the name of Skyshield. It was nothing more than an offshoot of Skynet. They popped up from time to time.

An HK drone was about to take off. There seemed to be some last minute delay.

John wanted the technicians to hurry up.

"Those clowns need to quit lollygagging." John said. "I want to get this wrapped up as quickly as possible."

Bob tilted his head slightly as he referenced the unusual word John used.

"Affirmative…." Bob said. "The sooner they get moving, the sooner they will be terminated."

The HK drone powered up.

John and his group took aim as the HK drone started to move. It lifted from the ground.

It rose about ten feet off of the ground and spun around in a circle as if to show off.

The HK drone was airborne. The group below cheered. There was one woman among them who didn't cheer. It most likely meant one thing….

John looked at her through his scope. She was a fine featured Asian woman. Her sheath was trim and firm.

Bob noticed who John looked at. He already made a determination a few seconds ago about her.

"She's a Terminator." Bob said.

John worried maybe they would get in a firefight now. He would also like to capture some more Terminators. He wanted to try to spread the load around more to take some of the pressure off of Cameron. It seemed she was busy all of the time. She attempted to do everything on her own. Her latest stint as a babysitter only seemed to complicate things further.

"Is anyone else?" John asked. "I want more Terminators for us."

Bob looked again. Everyone else there looked and acted human.

"She's the only one I see outside." Bob said. "We don't know what else will appear from inside the mountain hangar once the shooting starts."

The HK drone continued its slow assent. It wobbled a little but was now about a hundred feet in the air.

John thought it was high enough. It would spot them where they were at if it went much higher. Since the HK drone was now armed, he didn't want to take any chances. He witnessed firsthand the damage they could unleash. He witnessed it in the future he went to, as well as the aftermath of the attack on Cameron, Bob, and Holly. It was time the attack commenced.

"Bob, bring it down." John said.

He heard the Barrett and the AR10 open up. His M4 followed right behind them. It was almost like target practice. The whine from the drone power plants helped mask the initial shots. It delayed the response time of the group below.

Everything else happened very fast once it started.

Vanna went to see Jesse. She never left disappointed. Jesse always delivered, even if she didn't make it. Jesse would rectify it herself shortly afterwards anyway.

It wasn't usually something others liked someone else to witness. Jesse didn't have a problem with it. She actually enjoyed to have others watch her pleasure herself. She knew it would make them ready for a little more.

Vanna felt Jesse alone was so much different than Allison. She was so intense and driven. She was so 'hungry'. She felt bad about Allison and her drifting, but things happen. They would get back together again. She knew Allison would always want a male at some point. Allison tried several times in the past, much to her disgust. She could always tell when Allison attempted breeding sex. She wouldn't be with her for several days afterward. She always looked very depressed. She learned Allison wanted John in their future. Allison was the one who confessed.

She couldn't blame Allison for wanting to be with John. He was very respectful of females, even if he committed a severe transgression against Cameron previously. He could have been with any of the females multiple times, but he never was. He always restrained himself with great difficulty. It actually made her want to be with him more because he was able to hold himself back.

It seemed Allison was lost right now. She was the one who paid the price. Now she sidestepped into Jesse's arms for a while. It was a mistake to be with Jesse alone. Now she wanted more…. She knew Jesse wasn't one to let go….

Jesse made it very clear she was the one who would control everything when they were together. It was much different from when Jesse was with Allison and her. She could see the fire in Jesse's eyes when she looked at her. Jesse even told her what she could and couldn't enjoy. Somehow it made everything even more exciting.

Vanna lifted her head. She looked up across Jesse's flat stomach past her nipple rings through the valley of Jesse's breasts and into Jesse's eyes.

Jesse lifted her head slightly to look down at her.

"Cat got your tongue, love?" Jesse asked.

Jesse hoped if the cat didn't have it, Vanna would put it back to use as she was doing just a few seconds ago.

Vanna blinked.

"No." Vanna said.

Jesse smiled. She wanted things to resume. She was about halfway there. She didn't want to lose the feeling.

"It should, since the 'pussycat' is right in front of you." Jesse said.

Vanna laughed.

"I've run across more than a few." Vanna said.

Jesse bent down and gave Vanna a kiss.

She moved Vanna up and laid her flat as she moved over the top of her in the opposite direction.

"I have too." Jesse said. "None looked quite like a 'pink butterfly', I can truly say."

The excitement level between the girls grew as they positioned themselves for pleasure.

"Let me give you a refresher on how it's done 'down under'." Jesse said. "To feel the best that is."

Vanna was set in her ways. She learned what worked for most females. The only ones she couldn't help were a few who the Scavengers got a hold of. She still did what she could. Someone could still feel nice, even if they were now unable make it to heaven. It was where she planned to send Jesse now, and follow her there herself.

"I have my own style." Vanna said. "We're heaven bound."

The girls dug in. The excitement level began to build and continued to grow. At just this moment, there was nowhere else the two girls wanted to be.

They both thought life was good in Paradise.

Cameron drove the van with the two terminated males in it away from the area. After about five miles, she pulled behind some trees near a park. She wanted to make sure no one could observe her and what she did. She went through the men's pockets and the van itself. She looked for anything out of the ordinary. There was nothing she could find. She wanted to make sure there was no Skynet connection whatsoever.

The phone rang on the man who received the call previously. Cameron heard his voice earlier. She actually heard the voice of both men when they discussed what was under the van.

"Did you get it?" The voice asked.

Cameron wanted to draw more of this group out. The more she could finish off in small lots, would make the termination of all of them easier. It should result in less damage to her. She tried to avoid as much damage as she could. She knew she wouldn't be able to show up at the Young residence with metal showing. She didn't want to traumatize Claire or Young Allison. She did think maybe Paul would leave her alone if he got a good look at her with damage. She needed to concentrate on her current endeavor.

"We did, but the van broke down. Can you pick us up?" Cameron asked in the dead man's voice.

He said he would and Cameron gave him the location. The voice on the phone said they would be there in fifteen minutes.

Cameron would be waiting for them. She would conduct a few interrogations soon, or some target practice. Either way, she would hunt the group down and terminate them. She would then glean whatever resources and proceeds she could to benefit her personal operation. She wanted to start something outside of the Resistance operation. She wanted to establish something Mrs. Weaver hadn't been a part of.

The thought of Mrs. Weaver still bothered her. Where was Mrs. Weaver at? What future was she in? How messed up was it at this point? Did Mrs. Weaver become 'Skynet' in some future? She needed to refocus.

Cameron would position the van and herself for the best attack location when the backup team arrived. She hoped she hadn't missed some type of code word or clandestine phrase during the brief conversation. She would be ready for whatever the group tried to pull. Since they weren't affiliated with Skynet, they didn't know what it would be like to deal with a Terminator. They wouldn't have long to think about it.

Isabel's thoughts drifted sometimes. It usually happened when she was alone and not much was happening. She thought about taking a DNA sample from Claire. She wanted to Resequence her sheath to be the same as Claire, and take her place. She would gather the information and have it ready. She didn't wish to terminate Claire, but the thought did cross her mind. Maybe she would do it after the baby was born. She wouldn't take over the 'wifely duties' of Claire for Paul, so he would have to go also. She would be able to protect Young Allison for John, along with the added bonus of her baby sister….

Isabel snapped her head up. What did she just think? Where did those thoughts come from? Did she just 'day dream'? She hoped she wasn't about to glitch out. She would call Allison and Holly to come and check her out. Allison could watch Young Allison while Holly checked her files. She knew Cameron was busy.

Sarah was actually happy with her life at this point in time. It seldom happened for her. Kyle was a great husband, father, lover, and most of all 'a friend'. Sometimes she needed a friend more than a lover. It wasn't easy for her to share herself with anyone emotionally, or about her true feelings. Having been sent to a mental institution for telling the truth, only made her further withdraw into herself.

What Sarah had now were all the things she wanted for so many years. She felt she did fairly well with John. It was as least as well as any mother could do to protect her child from the future. Cameron was more than she could ask for to be with John. She knew grandchildren wouldn't be a problem if Cameron got 'her way'. If she knew Cameron, she figured she would be a grandmother soon. Everyone saw Cameron 'worked on' the girls for John's benefit.

It was a little disturbing for her at first but she soon realized Cameron wanted what was best for John going forward and in the long term. She could see it took a lot of sacrifice on Cameron's part to do so. She was aware the true test of love was sacrifice. She didn't care for the way Cameron leaned on Savannah. She did understand why. She really hoped the girls from the future would step up and do what Cameron wanted before Savannah did on her own.

Jan was the sweetest little girl and everyone helped out. All the girls were top notch and the female Terminators were just as great. It worried her because everything seemed so good now and everyone was happy. Sure the girls would drift off into different pairs every now and then, but everything always seemed to return to normal. No one was fighting with each other.

Sarah always seemed to know when it was time to 'move on'. She began to get the feeling. She needed to talk to Kyle and Derek and see what they felt. She worried about John. She didn't want 'Jan Connor' to have to be the leader of the Resistance….

She wondered where she would go. Where could she go? Her choices were limited. She wanted to live a real life with Kyle and Jan, but how? The threat of Skynet would always loom over her shoulder. It would always haunt her and her family. There would always be some aberration of Skynet waiting to rise up and stalk her and John. It seemed there always was and probably would be.

Sarah knew Kyle and Derek understood there was still a chance to prevent the Hell of their future. A Skynet Hell is what they knew most of their lives. None of them sought riches or the easy life in the past. Cameron literally left millions of dollars lying around from her drug raids. Any of their group could take some and go. Nobody would stop them. Maybe because it would be so easy to do, was why no one did it. There was always the option to do it later on.

Kyle told her growing up in the Wastelands money meant very little. The only things of value were food, weapons, ammunition, or young females who were able to produce a child. They could be bought and sold or bartered. If it was determined a female was barren, she was discarded. They usually ended up in the hands of Scavengers. It was a fate worse than death….

No one wanted to leave and break up their 'extended family'. Everyone knew what was most likely on the way and would try to prevent it. If they needed to, they would fight it.

It was her life. It was all of their lives.

Sarah wondered what tomorrow would bring. She knew what yesterday offered. It was nothing worthwhile. The present was now. It was here 'today'. It was all around her and there was nowhere to go. What kind of a life was it for a small child to grow up in?

Sarah needed to think it through and not 'day dream'. This was a life of survival and staying ahead of Skynet so there was a tomorrow and a future. It was the story of her life.

Derek did some recon work with Kyle and Jim. Jim often accompanied any of the Reese clan when they were out. If it wasn't Jim, it was usually Bob. A few times it was Gail or Holly. They all liked those times. They were so much different than Cameron in many ways.

Kyle didn't think the recon would pan out to anything worthwhile.

"This looks like a dud." Kyle said.

Kyle's words helped Derek refocus. He'd started to 'day dream' a little.

"It seems most of them are anymore." Derek said.

Kyle could think of one major reason why.

"It may be a good thing if Cameron has hit them hard and destroyed Skynet." Kyle said.

Derek frowned a little. It seemed Skynet was hard to keep down.

"It always seems to have a way back." Derek said.

Kyle pointed out the obvious.

"It's why we run down these leads and search for it." Jim said.

Derek still would have liked the operation to have produced a little more.

"I guess it is." Derek said. "Let's go."

There was always tomorrow. There would always be more leads. They may or may not pan out. They needed to remain diligent in their task to make sure Skynet never got a foothold again.

Allison and Holly shared one more time. They did everything again the way they did on their first time together. It was very exciting for both of them. It was exciting for Holly because it was something new. It was exciting to Allison because it was someone new.

Holly didn't want to overstay her welcome. She was still concerned about Vanna. Allison told her it wouldn't be a big deal, but she was sure it would be. She wasn't looking to make any enemies, even in the pursuit of what she desired. She was ready to leave. She was very pleased about her time spent with Allison.

Allison was at her side. There was a playful happy look on her face.

It was something Holly noted was absent for weeks on Allison. It was one of the reasons why she decided to act other than the prompting by Cameron.

Allison wondered where things would go from there. She didn't want to seem overly aggressive or possessive. She understood how it could turn someone off very quickly. She also wanted to make her interest and desires known.

"Will you be in later?" Allison asked.

Holly was pleased to hear Allison's question. She didn't know if what they just did was a beautiful beginning, or just a start and the finish. She wanted it known she was available. She would make sure she was available.

"Yes, I'll be in as often as possible." Holly said. "If you want me to be…."

Allison was happy to hear it. She didn't want what happened to be a one time thing. She did more than a few of those. They often left her with a very uneasy feeling. She wasn't sure if she used someone, or they used her. Vanna didn't have a problem with it. She did. She wanted Holly to understand what she wanted and what her desires were.

"I do, Holly." Allison said. "I want to see where we can go."

Holly missed the 'broader term' Allison referred to. She thought only as in the near future. She didn't see it as a possible future for them. She needed to remember her duty to the Resistance as well.

"You're welcome in my room at any time." Holly said. "Just let me know when to be there for you. I don't go there much. I'll always go there for you unless I'm on an assignment."

The prospect excited Allison. They could always have a 'safe' haven to meet and share. It could be their secret lair. It might prevent some type of confrontation with Vanna if she didn't see them together. If Vanna saw them together, she would know why.

"I will." Allison said. "It's what I want."

Holly wanted Allison to know how special she was to her. It was everything she imagined it would be and then some. She really enjoyed the human interaction with Allison. It was unlike any feedback she could receive from another Terminator on any level, except Cameron. It made her understand why Cameron was a much better infiltration unit than Gail or her. It was because of her long term exposure to humans, and her personal interaction with John.

"Thank you for 'being with' me." Holly said. "I'm very happy it was YOU. It was what I wanted."

Allison didn't want 'love' to be looked on as something to thank someone for. It should be a higher level than 'thanks'. It was easy to 'thank someone' in spite of it because of the joy involved. She did understand what it was like to achieve something which was long desired.

"You don't need to thank me. It was what we both wanted." Allison said. "It's what I needed. To share love and ourselves is something beautiful. It is the most special thing to share."

Holly wondered if they should mention what happened to anyone. She didn't think it would be a good idea. There was bound to be some negative fallout along the way from someone. She didn't want to hear any rude comments either.

"I take it what we did should remain private." Holly said.

Allison smiled. It seemed like a very good idea to her. She didn't need any flak from anyone.

"It'll be our secret." Allison said.

Allison pulled her close and kissed her. She didn't want to stop.

Holly started to walk out the door. She finally felt 'complete'. She would thank Cameron one day for what she shared with Allison after Cameron found out about it. Cameron always found out about everything. She was very invasive.

Holly watched as Allison pinched herself.

"Ouch!" Allison said.

Holly tilted her head slightly.

"Why did you do that?" Holly asked. "Is it something I should do too? What does it do?"

Allison giggled.

"I just wanted to make sure this wasn't a dream." Allison said. "It seems like I 'day dream' a lot anymore. This is real."

Allison touched Holly and kissed her again. She put her player in Holly's hand.

Holly left as the song played. 'I Got You, Babe' by 'Sonny and Cher'. Tears filled her eyes as she 'felt' the words.

Closing monologue by Cameron:

Day Dream

Is there a ray of hope
A heart's true sunbeam
Will they be the one person
That we can hold supreme

Can they provide salvation
Without some kind of scheme
To show one the true path
For their soul to redeem

When feelings and emotions abound
It will make our smile beam
Love and joy equally shared
Will make both hearts' gleam

We can build each other up
With worth, pride and esteem
No longer alone and vanquished
Will our mind need to scream

Is there yet a common theme
Without anything too extreme
We are all on the same team
We can skim the crops' cream

To some it may seem
Love evaporates like steam
In life's daily winding stream
Leaving us only to day dream

Nobody
