So, I've been getting notes (Complaints) about why I write this in the "He says *Blank* She says *Blank*" format rather than script format so I thought I'd explain. I cannot write it in script format otherwise it will get taken down because if I use dialogue directly from the movies, it violates the copyright and I really don't want to have this removed. Hope this explains it well enough.
Peter walks up to the decathlon team and says he was hoping he could rejoin.
Flash says Peter can't quit on them then stroll back and be welcomed by everyone.
Mr. Harrington steps off the bus and welcomes Peter back.
"I guess I can be welcomed back." Peter said.
Mr. Harrington tells Flash that he's back to first alternate.
Abe says Peter is taking Flash's place.
"At least he got knocked down a couple pegs." Steve said.
MJ asks if they can go because she was hoping to get in some light protesting in front of one of the embassies before dinner.
Mr. Harrington says protesting is patriotic and tells them to get on the bus. Flash shoves his blazer at Peter.
"So aggressive."
Liz is asking practice questions on the bus and the others answer them. Peter answers a question then gets a phone call from Happy.
He walks toward the back of the bus and answers it. Happy says he got a blip on his screen and asks Peter if he left New York.
"You're tracking him?" May asked.
Peter says it's nothing just a school trip and tells Happy that tracking him without his permission is a violation of his privacy.
"Not to mention, kind of... creepy." Peter said.
Ned points at Peter's device that he's using to track the weapons dealers. Peter says that's different.
Happy asks what's different.
Peter says it's nothing and tells Happy that he's going to the Academic Decathlon and it's no big deal.
Happy says he'll decide if it's no big deal.
"Or I could decide that for myself." Peter muttered. "It's not your place to make that decision."
Happy says it sounds like it's no big deal and tells Peter to remember that he's watching him.
"Creepy." Ned said.
"I am going to have a very long discussion of boundaries with you when I get back to my time." May said.
The team arrives at their hotel. Liz tells everyone to stick together. The others talk amongst themselves.
Peter asks Ned if he brought his laptop. Ned asks why.
"What are you planning?" MJ asked.
Peter and Ned get to their room, Peter hooks his suit up to Ned's laptop. Ned asks why they're removing the tracker from the suit.
Peter says he has to follow the weapons dealers to their boss and he doesn't want Tony to know about it.
Ned asks if he's lying to Iron Man.
"Not really lying... just keeping the truth." Peter defended.
Peter says he isn't lying and Tony doesn't get what he can do yet then takes off the tracker and sticks it on a lamp before telling Happy to enjoy tracking the lamp.
"Very funny." Happy said.
Ned looks at his laptop and says there's ton of other subsystems on the suit but they're all disabled by the training wheels protocol.
Peter looks at the screen and tells Ned to turn the protocol off.
"You hacked the suit?" Shuri asked.
"To put it simply... yes." Ned said.
Ned says that isn't a good idea and they're probably blocked for a reason.
Peter stands up and jumps on the other bed. He says he doesn't need training wheels and he's sick of Tony treating him like a kid all the time.
"Peter, you're 15." May said. "You're a kid."
Ned tells Peter that he is a kid.
Peter says he's a kid who can stop a bus with his bear hands.
"Still a kid." Ned said.
Ned says he doesn't think it's a good idea and asks what if it's illegal.
Peter gets off the bed and says this is his chance to prove himself and says he can handle it.
Ned says he doesn't think it's a good idea.
Peter says Ned's the guy in the chair.
"I can't believe I let you talk me into that." Ned sighed.
Ned sighs and disables the protocol. The suit flashes blue.
"Your tech got hacked by a 15 year old." Rhodey chuckled.
Peter, now wearing the suit, zips his hoodie up and tells Ned that they glowing thing is evidence and he should keep it safe.
"Really should have just left it alone." Peter said.
Peter sneaks out of the room and sees Liz in the hallway in her swimsuit. Liz tells him that they're going swimming and the rest of the team follows her, Flash slaps Peter's butt.
"Was that necessary?" May asked.
Peter says he was going to study in the business center.
Liz tell him he doesn't need to study and says he's the smartest guy she's met and a rebellious group activity the night before competition is good for morale.
"She might be onto something with that." Tony said.
"Tony, no." Pepper said.
Liz says she heard it in a TED talk and read a coaching book.
Peter notes that this is really important to her.
Liz says this is their future and she's not going to screw it up. She tells Peter they raided the mini bar and the candy bars were 11$.
"Talk about a rip-off." Scott said.
"Right? Like that is unnecessarily high." Sam said.
Later, the team is having fun in the pool. Peter watches for a bit before putting his mask on. A female AI greets him and congratulates him on completing the training wheels protocol and gaining access to the suit's full capabilities.
"There's an AI in that suit?" Strange asked.
"Of course there is, look who made it." Fury said.
The AI asks Peter where they're going.
Peter says he put a tracker on a bad guy.
The AI locates the tracker and plots a course to intercept target.
Peter says it's fine as long as he makes it back before the Decathlon.
"Well, that didn't happen." MJ said.
Peter hitches a ride on a semi-truck. The AI says they're 100 meters from the destination. Peter jumps off the truck. The AI detects 3 people.
Peter finds a gas station and asks why the secret lair is a gas station before calling it lame.
"So lame." Quill agreed.
Peter jumps on to a sign and asks the AI what the people are doing.
The AI asks if Peter wants to hear what they're saying.
Peter says he does, the AI activates enhanced reconnaissance mode.
"That's a thing?" Ned asked.
In the truck, 3 people are talking. Randy says he's got the gauntlet from the Lagos cleanup and the rest is his design.
The man says he can't believe they're still cleaning the Triskelion mess.
"They've really been to the aftermath of all of our escapades haven't they?" Tony asked. "New York, Sokovia, wherever the Dark Elves were, Lagos, D.C.."
Schultz says he loves it because the Avengers keep making messes and they keep getting rich.
Peter realizes they're in the middle of a heist and he can catch them red-handed and says he's going to get closer to see what's happening.
"You gotta be careful, though." Clint said.
The AI asks if peter would like to engage enhanced combat mode. Peter says yes. The AI activates instant kill.
"Instant kill!?" May yelled.
Peter says he doesn't want to kill anybody. The AI deactivates instant kill. Peter shots a web then falls on his face.
In the van, Schultz asks if the others heard that.
Peter stands up and asks what the hell that was and what happened.
The AI says he jumped off the sign and landed on his face.
Everyone laughed at the straightforwardness of the AI. "This AI of yours is very blunt." Steve commented.
Peter tries to shoot another web, but it comes out like bullets. Peter asks the AI what's wrong with the web-shooters.
The AI says rapid-fire is the default for enhanced combat mode.
"But you're not in enhanced combat mode anymore." Ned said.
"Guess they just didn't switch back." Peter said.
Peter asks why he would need rapid-fire.
The AI asks if he'd like to see more options and says there's 576 web-shooter combinations.
Peter says Tony really overdid it.
"I agree." Pepper said.
Schultz tells the other 2 men to wait in the car.
Randy tells him he should turn on the dampeners or the weapon will shatter his arm.
"Wait really?" Rocket asked.
Peter chooses a web-shooter combination. The AI asks if he'd like to set it as his new default.
Peter shoots a web but it's electrified and it hits the gas station lights. He runs behind the building and asks what that was.
The AI says they were taser webs.
"Why would you need taser webs?" Ned asked.
"I don't know." Peter said.
Peter climbs up the building and says he doesn't want taser webs.
The AI says Peter seems to be unfamiliar with the web-shooter settings and asks if he'd like to run a refresher course.
Peter says no and tells her to choose.
"I hope she didn't choose something crazy." Ned said.
Toomes flies in with his wings and follows 3 semi-trucks.
"Him again." May said, distastefully.
He says he has eyes on the convoy and he's pulling in. He ropes himself to a truck and uses a vacuum seal to get in. He says they've got good stuff in there.
Peter lands on the truck. Toomes jumps up, Peter uses webs to snatch his bag and says it doesn't belong to him and calls him 'big bird.'
"Big bird." Ned giggled.
Toomes puts his wings on and flies over Peter. Peter tries to shoot a web but it splits in half. Peter asks the AI what that was.
The AI says he told her to choose.
"Yeah, something that would be helpful." Peter said.
Peter tells her to set everything to normal then grabs Toomes' foot. Toomes kicks Peter and he falls into the truck, the vacuum seal closes, Peter jumps up to try and escape but he only knocks himself unconscious.
"Damn, he got away and you're 'captured'. That's gotta suck." Quill said.
Peter wakes up. The AI tells him he has a mild concussion.
Peter asks where he is. The AI says she isn't sure because the container walls are hindering her sensors.
"That can't be a good sign." Clint said.
Peter says the bad guys must've hijacked the truck and taken him to their lair and says they're going to have to fight their way out.
"Actually, we didn't." Peter said.
Peter busts out of the storage container, no one else is in the facility, he asks the AI where he is.
The AI says he's in the Damage Control deep storage vault which is the most secure facility on the Eastern seaboard.
"Well, shit. How are you gonna get out of there." Howard asked.
Peter tries to open the door. The AI says the door will most likely stay closed until morning.
Peter lies in a web hammock and tells the AI that he feels bad calling her 'suit lady' and he should probably give her a name like Liz.
"Peter, that's weird." MJ said.
Peter backtracks and says that's weird. He swings lazily on a different web and suggests the name Karen. Karen says Peter can call her Karen if he'd like.
"Like Plankton's wife Karen?" Ned asked.
"Of course like Plankton's wife Karen." Peter responded.
Peter hangs upside down on a web and reads. He asks Karen what the suit can do. Web gliders emerge from Peter's suit.
"Sweet." Ned said.
Peter messes with the suit more and says they should run the refresher course. Peter tests web combinations including ricochet webs, splitter webs and web grenades.
"You have web grenades?" Shuri asked.
Peter lies across a storage container and asks Karen if he should tell Liz that he's Spider-Man.
Karen asks who Liz is. Peter says she's a girl that goes to his school and he wants to tell her.
"I'm thankful that I didn't." Peter said. "Who knows what would have happened had I told her."
Peter says it's weird.
Karen asks what's weird about it.
Peter asks what if she's expecting someone like Tony Stark and says to imagine how disappointed Liz would be when she sees him.
Karen says she wouldn't be disappointed if she were Liz.
"Damn... that AI- Karen- has a lot of humanity." Sam said.
Peter thanks her and says it's nice to have someone to talk to.
"Way better than talking to myself all the time." Peter said.
Peter asks how long they've been there. Karen says it's been 37 minutes.
"Only 37 minutes? You think it would been at least a couple hours." Steve said.
Peter says that's insane and he cannot take it anymore and he has to get out of there.
He goes to the bag he took from Toomes and says there's gotta be something he can use. He pulls out various things, one of them is an Ultron head.
"Is that one of Ultron's heads?" Wanda asked.
He pulls out another glowing purple rock. Karen says the glowing thing is an explosive Chitauri energy core.
"Explosive? That thing's a bomb?" Happy asked.
"Yeah, definitely should have left it alone." Peter said.
Peter says they've been carrying around a bomb.
Karen says it would require radiation to transmit it into an explosive state.
"Not helping."
Peter tries to call Ned, but the call fails.
Peter webs himself to the door and says to let him out and tells Karen to help him override the time lock. He puts in a code and tells Karen to run it.
Karen says it's unsuccessful.
Peter says they're going to have to try every sequence.
"That'll take forever." Natasha said.
Liz knocks on Ned and Peter's room door. Ned grabs the Chitauri core.
"Oh no." Bruce said.
Peter puts in the 247th number sequence. The door opens.
Peter leaves the facility and hitches a ride on the back of a semi.
At the competition, Ned and the others hand their phones in.
"Dammit."
Peter tells Karen to get him to the Decathlon as fast as possible.
Karen asks where it is. Peter says it's across the street from the Washington monument.
Peter leaves a voicemail for Ned and says the glowing thing's a bomb and runs on top of cars.
"This is so stressful." May said.
At the decathlon, the moderator says they're now in sudden death and the next correct answer wins the championship.
MJ presses her buzzer and says the answer is zero.
The moderator says she's correct.
Everyone clapped. "They won." Peter said.
"Congratulations." Strange said.
The team celebrates outside of the Washington Monument. Flash says he told them they didn't need Peter.
Ned says Flash didn't answer a single question.
"He was so useless." MJ said.
Mr. Harrington walks up to MJ and asks if she's taking it all in.
MJ says she doesn't want to celebrate something that was built by slaves.
"Fair enough." Ned said.
Mr. Harrington says he's sure the Washington monument wasn't built by slaves. The security guard gives him an 'eh' gesture. Mr. Harrington walks off and tells MJ to enjoy her book.
"I will, thank you." MJ said.
Peter is on top of a bus. His phone rings, he answers it, relieved that Ned's alive then asks where the glowing thing is.
Ned says it's safe in his backpack.
"Well, it's not safe anywhere." May said.
Peter tells him the glowing thing is dangerous.
Ned says Peter missed the decathlon but he covered for him and they're at the Washington monument.
Liz takes Ned's phone and asks where he was.
Karen tells Peter to tell Liz how he feels.
"Not helpful." Peter said.
Liz calls Peter a flake and says he's lucky they won. She says she wants to be mad but she's more worried and asks what's going on with him.
Peter says he needs to talk to Ned because it's important.
Liz puts the phone down when security asks her to.
"Oh no."
Peter says there's something in Ned's backpack that's dangerous and says not to let it through the X-ray.
"Little late for that." Ned said.
Ned picks up his backpack after it goes through the X-ray and the team gets onto an elevator. The tour guide gives them information about the monument. When they get close to the top, the Chitauri core lets off an energy blast.
"Shit."
Karen tells Peter that the Chitauri core has detonated and caused severe structural damage to the elevator.
"That's not good." Rhodey said.
MJ says her friends are up there.
Peter says everything's going to be okay and runs toward the monument and climbs it.
In the elevator, the team in panicking.
Karen estimates 10 minutes before catastrophic failure.
"Oh, no."
The tour guide assures the team that their safety systems are working.
Karen tells Peter that their safety systems are completely failing.
"I should not have brought that rock with me." Ned said.
The tour guide assures the team that they're safe.
Karen tells Peter that the occupants are in mortal danger.
Security guards help the team out of the elevator.
Karen tells Peter that there's 125 seconds until catastrophic failure.
'Come on, kid' Became an running mantra in the anxious viewers' heads.
Peter asks what caused the deterioration to escalate. Karen gives him a view of the inside of the building. Peter asks how he can get inside. A reconnaissance drone emerges from Peter's suit. Peter asks if that's been there the whole time and says it's awesome.
"And kind of cute." Shuri said.
The drone flies to the top of the building and locates an entry point at the southwest window. Peter climbs up to the window, he gets to it then looks down.
"That looks... daunting." Steve said.
Karen asks Peter why he's hesitating.
Peter says he's never been so high up before.
Karen notes that he hasn't reinstalled the parachute and a fall from that height would be lethal.
May grabbed onto her nephew's arm. Despite the fact that she knew he was alive, and fine, she couldn't help but continue to worry.
Peter tries to kick the window out but the glass doesn't break. Karen says it's 4-inch ballistic glass and he'll need more momentum.
Peter shoots a web and uses it to swing into the glass, after 2 hits it cracks.
A helicopter flies up behind him, a cop tells him to return to the ground.
"He's trying to help them." Pepper said.
In the elevator, Flash shoves everyone out of the way so he can get out next, he takes the trophy with him.
"Is the trophy really so important that he had to take it with him?" Hope asked.
Peter climbs to the tip of the monument
The elevator starts falling, Flash tells the guards to take the trophy.
"Seriously? That is not what's important right now." MJ said.
Peter tells himself that he's gonna die before he jumps off the monument, shoots a web at the landing skate of the helicopter and uses it to propel himself into the window to break it. Peter crashes through the window as the elevator falls. He shoots a web at it to stop it.
"Yes!" Everyone cheered, relieved.
The elevator starts falling, Peter falls with it and shoots a web at the ceiling and uses it to pull the elevator up. Ned jumps excitedly. Peter tells him to quit moving around.
A few people giggled at that.
Eventually Peter gets the elevator up and people get out. The elevator falls again and Liz goes with it, Peter catches her with a web and pulls her up. Once she's safe, Karen tells Peter that this is his chance to kiss Liz.
"Is she serious?" Clint asked.
Peter's web breaks and he falls.
May clutched Peter's arm harder.
Flash looks down the elevator shaft and asks Spider-Man if he's really friends with Peter Parker.
