'Busan, South Korea' appears on the screen. T'Challa, Nakia and Okoye get out of a car, dressed in semi-formal clothing, Okoye is wearing a wig.
"You guys look nice." Natasha said.
Okoye says she hopes this goes quickly so she can take the wig off.
"You don't like the wig?" Nebula asked.
"I hated the wig." Okoye said.
Nakia says it looks nice and tells her to whip it back and forth.
Okoye says it's a disgrace.
"And an experience I don't wish to repeat." Okoye said to T'Challa.
Nakia greets a woman named Sophia in Korean. Sophia, In Korean, asks who T'Challa and Okoye are.
Nakia, In Korean, says they're her rich friends from Kenya and they're good.
Sophia, in Korean, says they're good for trouble like her.
"What did she do?" Scott asked.
Sophia gestures for a man to let them in. They walk into the building, and through a metal detector and into a casino.
"A casino?" Strange asked. "That's where Klaue is meeting his buyer?"
"That doesn't sound right." Maria said.
T'Challa tells Okoye and Nakia to spread out because the buyer is likely already there.
"Probably." Clint said.
They walk through the Casino, Okoye takes the upper level.
Nakia and T'Challa link arms and walk to the lower level. T'Challa asks what trouble Sophia was referring to.
Nakia says she got into a disagreement with some ivory traders and made a bit of a mess.
"Ah." Scott said, pleased his question from earlier was answered.
"What kind of disagreement?" Gamora wondered.
T'Challa asks if there will be any trouble tonight and calls Nakia 'Ms. Kenyan Heiress'.
Nakia says it depends on how quickly they finish the mission.
"Better finish the mission quickly then." Quill said. Everyone else rolled their eyes at him.
Okoye, over comms, tells them to focus.
Everyone giggled at that. "They're always flirting." Shuri said.
Nakia walks over to the bar and orders a whiskey, T'Challa walks over to a game table, Okoye looks over the area. Nakia says there's 3 Americans in the area.
Okoye says there's 5 and asks how she could miss 'greased lightning' when they're right behind her.
Everyone snorted at Okoye's nicknames for the 2 Americans. "Ha, greased lightning' I like that." Rhodey said, giggling.
T'Challa says there's 6 as he comes across Everett Ross.
"That might complicate things a bit." Tony said.
"Oh! I remember him." Sam said.
"The more Rational of the Ross'." Bruce said.
T'Challa says Everett is an old friend who works for the CIA and things just got more complicated, then walks over to him.
"What is Everett Ross is doing in a casino in South Korea." Steve asked.
"He must be Klaue's buyer, right?" Bucky asked. "I can't think of another reason he'd be there for."
T'Challa says Everett is buying from Klaue. Everett says what he is or isn't doing on behalf of the US government is not T'Challa's concern.
"It became my concern when Klaue got involved." T'Challa said.
Everett asks T'Challa to stay out of his way.
T'Challa says he gaze Zemo to Everett.
Everett says he kept the fact that the king of a 3rd world country runs around in a bulletproof catsuit under wraps.
"Catsuit?" Shuri asked, offended.
Everett says they're even and asks T'Challa to leave.
T'Challa says Klaue is leaving with him and says Everett has been warned and leaves.
"This is gonna get interesting." Happy said.
An old man(Stan Lee) walks up to Everett and takes some chips for safe keeping.
"And there he is." T'Challa said, referring to the old man who has appeared in every film they've seen so far.
Everett tells his team that T'Challa is there and says he can't leave with Klaue.
Everyone sighed, but they really couldn't fault Everett, the guy was just trying to do his job.
Everett walks back over to T'Challa and says the vibranium from Sokovia leads back to a person that he's not saying he's there to make a deal with but the deal won't be called off and says that he and T'Challa can work something out when the dust settles.
"I don't think that's gonna work." Natasha said.
"It didn't." T'Challa said.
T'Challa says he's not there to make a deal.
Outside, Klaue and his team arrive.
Everyone tensed. "Here goes." Tony said.
Klaue greets Sophia with a kiss on the cheek and they walk through the metal detectors, setting off the alarms and then enter the casino.
"Why aren't they doing anything about the fact that he set off the metal detectors?" Coulson asked.
"Probably has to do with how he greeted Sophia when he arrived, they must know each other or something." Carol said.
Okoye sees Klaue and notifies Nakia and T'Challa and says she's in position but doesn't see the vibranium yet and says she thought there was no weapons allowed.
Nakia says there's not supposed to be.
Okoye says someone didn't get the memo and the men are armed.
"Or they just didn't care." Fury said.
"That too." Okoye said.
Klaue walks up to Everett who makes a comment about his entourage and asks if he has a mixtape coming out. Klaue says there is one and says he can send Everett the Soundcloud link. Everett tells Klaue not to make him listen to his music.
"He's a Soundcloud rapper?" Ned asked.
"I'm pretty sure he was joking..." MJ said.
"Well he might not be considering... him." Shuri said.
"So he's... crazier than he was before." Tony noted.
"That's not saying much." Wanda said. "He was kind of insane when I met him a few weeks ago."
Everett says Klaue has a lot of people with him. Klaue asks if Everett thinks they're for him and says he can do the deal all by himself.
"Something about this seems... wrong." Bucky said.
"Because something was." Okoye said.
More of Klaue's men walk in. Okoye tells Nakia and T'Challa that 6 more entered and it was a setup.
"Yeah, can't say I'm surprised." Clint said.
Klaue asks Everett if he has the diamonds. Everett says that's enough and shrugs Klaue's hand off.
A woman walks in with a briefcase. Nakia says they need to move on Klaue.
T'Challa tells them to stand down because they can't afford a shootout.
"True, but you may not have a choice." Coulson said.
Everett asks Klaue if he has the vibranium. Klaue unzips his pants and takes out the vibranium, which is wrapped in a paper bag marked 'fragile'.
"He... he put it in his pants?" Shuri asked.
"That's just... I was expecting him to have like a briefcase or like something more protective than that." Steve said.
"Right? Like that makes more sense." Carol said.
Klaue says he was going to buy a fancy suitcase but he thought he'd save the money.
Nakia says it's now or never.
Okoye, in Xhosa, tells her to stand down. One of Klaue's men looks at her.
"Uh-oh."
Okoye takes out her spear and stabs one of Klaue's men in the foot.
"Wait, you had that on you the entire time?" Hope asked.
"I did." Okoye confirmed.
"Then how did it not set off the metal detectors?" Peter asked.
"Vibranium doesn't get detected by metal detectors." Shuri answered.
She takes off her wig and throws it at another before using her spear to flip him over the railing and onto a table. Klaue starts shooting at Everett, who covers himself with the briefcase and ducks behind a table with T'Challa.
"Well... there's that shootout you were so keen on avoiding." Rhodey said.
Everett grabs a gun and starts shooting at Klaue's men, T'Challa stands up and fends off 2 of them. Nakia slams one into a table and uses the heel of her shoe to stab some more.
"Useful." Natasha said, referring to Nakia's heels.
Nakia kicks the man to the floor, grabs his gun and starts shooting. Okoye is still using her spear to fend off Klaue's men, she kicks one through the railing, jumps down after him and stabs him then hits another in the face, Nakia flips one on his back and punches him. T'Challa quickly takes 3 out.
"So much badassery." Tony said. T'Challa and Okoye slightly smirked at that.
T'Challa sees Klaue in the balcony and jumps up after him and calls him a murderer in Xhosa. Klaue tries to shoot him but his gun is out of bullets. Klaue puts his hands up, a weapon comes out of his prosthetic.
"Damn, what all can his prosthetic do?" Rocket asked.
Klaue says T'Challa is just like T'Chaka and goes to shoot. T'Challa covers himself with a table but still gets tossed across the casino.
"What the hell?" Sam asked.
Klaue notices the money falling to the ground and says he made it rain then laughs and one of his men pulls him away. Nakia and Okoye chase them. Klaue and his men get in their cars and drive off.
"He's... crazy." Rhodey commented.
Nakia asks if they'll just leave T'Challa.
Okoye says he'll catch up and throws an EMP bead on a car, then they get in their car and chase Klaue.
T'Challa leaves the casino and calls for Shuri.
A hologram of the car Okoye threw the EMP bead on appears in Shuri's lab.
"So you can control the car with an EMP bead?" Clint asked.
"Yes." Shuri answered.
"That's awesome." Bruce said.
Shuri gets into the hologram car and asks which side of the road they drive on. T'Challa tells her to drive. Shuri starts driving, T'Challa's suit materializes around him as he jumps onto the car.
"Nice." Ned said.
Klaue tells his driver to put some music on and asks if he thinks this is a funeral.
Nakia and Okoye continue chasing him, Nakia asks which car Klaue is in.
Klaue orders his men to split up.
"Damn it."
Okoye says Klaue is trying to lose them. Nakia turns right.
Shuri says they'll take the others and says she sees a shortcut and drives through an alleyway toward an intersection. Cars start crashing. She says they're not going to make it.
T'Challa tells her to keep going and digs his claws into the ground to steer the car.
"Whoa." Peter said.
"That was awesome." Scott said.
T'Challa gets onto the hood of the car. Klaue's men start shooting at him, he jumps onto their car, digs his claws through the roof and throws the driver out, Shuri accidentally runs the driver over and asks what that was.
Shuri's eyes widened and she covered her mouth in shock. She just killed someone, unintentionally, but she still took that man's life. "I'm sorry." T'Challa said and hugged his sister, he didn't mean for that to happen, Shuri was only supposed to drive.
T'Challa tells her not to worry about it and says she's doing great.
"Dude..." Rhodey said.
"Were you ever going to tell me what happened?" Shuri asked. T'Challa neglected to answer.
T'Challa jumps onto Shuri's car again, the other one of Klaue's men starts shooting Nakia and Okoye, the bullets don't pierce the car. Okoye says guns are so primitive.
Sam, Tony, Fury, Coulson, Rhodey and Maria all looked offended at that.
"If you think guns are primitive wait until you see what Clint fights with." Natasha said, laughing.
"Ouch." Clint said.
Klaue tells the shooter that it's a vibranium car and the bullets won't penetrate it.
Okoye rolls down her window and disconnects her spear, Nakia asks what she's doing.
Okoye tells her to continue driving then climbs out the window and uses her spear to steady herself.
"What are you doing?" Hope asked.
Okoye throws part of her spear through the other car and it crashes.
"Holy shit!" Quill exclaimed.
"Nice shot." Maria said.
Another man starts shooting at T'Challa. Shuri tells him to look at his suit and says he's been taking bullets and charging it with kinetic energy.
"I almost forgot about that part of your suit to be honest." Howard said.
T'Challa sees a semi-truck and tells Shuri to pull around it. Shuri does so and when she changes lanes again, T'Challa is gone.
"What? Where'd you go?" Pepper asked.
T'Challa jumps onto the windshield of one of Klaue's cars and uses the kinetic energy in his suit to flip the car.
"Awesome." Peter said.
Shuri calls him a show-off.
"No one likes a show off." Okoye joked, agreeing with Shuri.
Nakia and Okoye chase Klaue. Klaue pokes out of the window and uses his prosthetic arm gun to destroy Nakia and Shuri's car.
"Son of a bitch." Fury said.
Okoye grabs onto her spear, stabs through a piece of metal and slides down the hill, Nakia follows her down, still in the driver's seat.
"Talk about luck." Shuri said, relieved that they were unscathed.
"I'm glad you're both okay." Natasha said.
Everett pulls up in front of them and tells them to get in and says Okoye can put her spear in the trunk.
Everyone laughed at Everett Ross' awkwardness.
A helicopter flies outside the city. T'Challa tells Shuri to go faster. Shuri says she's going as fast as she can. Klaue tells his driver to go right then destroys Shuri's car with his prosthetic arm gun.
"No!" Everyone yelled, worried.
T'Challa jumps onto Klaue's car and pulls a wheel off, causing the car to crash. Klaue falls out of the car. T'Challa asks him if he thinks they forgot. Klaue shoots T'Challa with his prosthetic arm gun, T'Challa's suit abosrbed the energy.
"Oh, Klaue's in for it now." Sam said. The Wakandans sighed, knowing what was coming.
T'Challa rips off Klaue's prosthetic and kicks him into the car and asks where he got that weapon. Klaue says they didn't deserve it and calls them savages.
"Savages!?" The Wakandans yelled, angrily.
"Wow. Klaue is such a dick." Sam said.
"What an asshole thing to say." MJ said.
T'Challa shoves Klaue against the car, Klaue calls for mercy. T'Challa says every breath Klaue takes is a mercy from him.
"I still stand by that." T'Challa said.
People gather around and start recording. Okoye and T'Challa run up to him. Nakia, In Xhosa, tells him that the world is watching.
Everett suggests that they leave. Klaue smiles when T'Challa realizes he can't kill him.
"You smug son of a bitch." Fury said.
Later, Klaue is in a room handcuffed to a chair. He looks at himself in a mirror and says he can see him and makes kissy faces at himself.
"He's definitely unwell." Nebula said.
Everett, T'Challa and Okoye look at him. Everett suggests they do 'good cop, bad cop'.
"Is that the best idea?" Clint asked.
Okoye, In Xhosa, tells T'Challa that they can't let Everett talk to Klaue alone. T'Challa, in Xhosa, says it's better to let him talk to Klaue for 5 minutes than make a scene.
"True." Ned said.
T'Challa says they'll take Klaue to Wakanda after Everett questions him.
"Everett probably won't like that." Natasha said.
Everett says he like T'Challa but Klaue is in his custody and he isn't going anywhere and says he's doing them a favor by letting them be there and taps T'Challa's shoulder. Okoye looks at him.
"Oh... he's in for it." Bruce said.
Okoye, in Xhosa, says if Everett touches T'Challa again she'll impale him on the desk.
"O-oh?" Peter asked.
"Remind me not to cross you." Scott said to Okoye.
Everett asks T'Challa if Okoye speaks English.
Okoye says she does when she wants to.
"Fair enough." Maria said.
Everett says he's going in and they're up when he's done.
T'Challa says he appreciates Everett's help in Busan, then grabs his shoulder.
Everett says that's called diplomacy and walks into Klaue's room.
T'Challa tells Okoye to play nice. Okoye mutters the word 'Americans.'
"I feel you." MJ said. "We kind of suck sometimes."
Everett sits across from Klaue who's singing 'What is Love?'.
"Seriously, there's something wrong with this man." Strange said.
Klaue says Everett shouldn't trust the Wakandans and says he's more Everett's speed.
Everett says he doesn't trust anyone because of his job.
All of the SHIELD agents in the room sympathised with Everett on that notion, they didn't trust much either.
Everett asks where Klaue got his arm cannon.
Klaue says it's an old mining tool that he's made adjustments to and says he can get Everett one if he'd like.
"Is he serious?" Steve asked.
Everett tells Klaue to give him the name of his supplier and he'll ask them.
Klaue says his supplier is outside and asks Everett to ask him himself.
Everett asks if Klaue got the weapon in his arm from Wakanda.
"Not directly." Okoye said, angry.
Klaue asks Everett what he knows about Wakanda.
Everett lists off Shepard's, textiles and cool outfits.
The Wakandans listen in on the conversation through a bug planted on Everett's shoulder.
"Nice one." Coulson said, referring to the bug.
Klaue says it's all a front and explorers searched for it for centuries and says it's the Golden City and the explorers thought they could find it in South America but it was in Africa the whole time.
"Golden City. Seems like a pretty accurate description." Tony said.
Klaue says it's a technological marvel all because it was built on a mound of the most valuable metal known to man which is Vibranium.
Everett says it's the strongest metal on Earth.
Klaue says it's not just a metal and it's sewn into their clothes.
"Wait really?" Wanda asked.
"Yes." The Wakandans confirmed.
Klaue says it powers their city, tech and weapons and it makes his arm cannon look like a leaf blower.
Everett says that's a nice fairy tale and says Wakanda is a 3rd world country and Klaue stole all their vibranium. Klaue laughs.
"His laugh makes me uncomfortable." May said.
Klaue sobers and says he took a tiny piece of it and says they have a mountain full of it and have been mining it for thousands of years and have barely scratched the surface.
"Damn." A few people said, shocked.
Klaue says he's the only outsider who's seen it and got out alive and tells Everett to ask T'Challa what his suit and claws are made of if he doesn't believe him.
"There go your secrets." Rhodey said. "Well, some of them."
Everett picks up his coffee and leaves.
Killmongers associates are tracking Klaue's prosthetic.
"That's not good." Thor said.
Everett tells T'Challa that T'Chaka told the UN that Klaue stole all the vibranium they had and now he's saying they have more.
T'Challa asks if he believes the word of an arms dealer strapped to a chair.
"Fair point." Natasha said.
Erik and 2 others get out of the truck.
"Oh no." Steve said.
Nakia looks at the security footage. She, in Korean, asks the guard where it's from. The guard points behind them.
Erik puts a bomb on the building and puts his mask on.
Everett asks T'Challa how much more he's hiding.
"Do you really have to get into this now?" Clint asked, worried.
Nakia walks in and says, in Xhosa, that something's happening out back. A wall in Klaue's cell blows. Erik walks in and starts shooting, Everett ducks. Erik's associates take Klaue away.
"No!" Everyone yelled.
T'Challa's suit materializes around him. Okoye takes out her spear. Erik tosses a grenade into the room. T'Challa jumps on top of it as it explodes and his suit absorbs the energy.
Everyone sighed, relieved. "Nice save." Rhodey told T'Challa.
Klaue tells Erik's associates that they took their time. T'Challa chases Erik, Erik shoots him and T'Challa gets knocked into the wall. Erik and the others drive off.
"Damn, they got away." Peter said.
Okoye runs out to check on T'Challa and they run back inside. Nakia is hovering over an injured Everett and says that he jumped in front of her.
"He saved her life..." Hope said quietly.
Nakia says she doesn't think he'll make it there because it hit his spine.
T'Challa asks for a kimoyo bead, Nakia hands him one. T'Challa puts in in Everett's wound and says it will stabilize him for the time being.
"Is there anything Wakandan tech can't do?" Ned asked.
T'Challa asks an agent to give Everett to them because they can save him.
"Risking your own secrets now." Maria said.
"It is for a good cause." T'Challa said.
The three of them get on the plane with Everett on a stretcher. Okoye says their mission was to bring Klaue back and they failed.
The Wakandans all sighed, sadly.
Okoye says Everett is a foreign intelligence operative and asks how they justify bring him into the boarders.
Nakia says he took a bullet for her.
Okoye says that was his choice.
"That is true..." Gamora said.
Nakia asks if they're supposed to let him die.
Okoye says it's Everett's duty to report back to his country and it's T'Challa's duty to protect theirs.
T'Challa says he's well aware of his duties and he can't just let Everett die knowing they can save him.
"Not after what he did for Nakia." T'Challa said.
Okoye asks where they're taking him.
They take Everett to Shuri's lab. Shuri says Everett is another broken white boy for them to fix.
"I wonder who the first one was." Natasha said, glancing at Bucky. Bucky waved at her.
Shuri says this is going to be fun. She looks at a 3d image of Everett's spinal cord and says he'll live.
Everyone sighed, relieved that Everett would be okay.
Shuri's konoyo beads chime, she tells T'Challa that W'Kabi is there.
Everyone tensed, remembering T'Challa's promise to W'Kabi and how he couldn't keep it.
T'Challa jogs to greet W'Kabi. W'Kabi asks where Klaue is.
T'Challa says he isn't there and says he slipped through their hands.
W'Kabi says T'Chaka was in power for 30 years and did nothing and he thought it'd be different with T'Challa but it's the same, then walks away.
T'Challa winced.
"You should be more careful of the promises you make as king." Okoye said.
Klaue's crew pulls up near their plane. Erik asks if Klaue always sells to the CIA.
Klaue says he sells to the highest bidder.
"There's your flaw." Natasha said, sounding like she was waiting to find one. "You're getting careless."
Klaue says he'll make sure they get paid when he gets to Joburg and lays low for a bit.
Erik says he's not worried about the money and asks Klaue to drop them off in Wakanda.
Klaue says Erik doesn't want to go there.
Erik says he does then shoots one of the people he was with.
"What was that for?" Loki asked.
"He has bigger plans." T'Challa said.
Klaue holds a gun to Erik's lovers head and tells him to drop his weapon or their 'Bonnie and Clyde' will end.
Erik's lover apologizes. Erik says it'll be okay and shoots her.
Everyone gasped, not expecting Erik to be the one to kill her.
"He cares about this plan of his more than he cares about her." May sighed.
Klaue drops her and runs, Erik shoots at him.
"And, they're turning on each other." Shuri said.
Klaue ducks behind an old plane. Erik walks out from behind a different plane and shoots Klaue then walks up to him. Klaue asks if he really wants to go to Wakanda and says they're savages.
The Wakandans all glared at Klaue. They were not savages.
Klaue shows Erik his branding and says that's what they do to people like them.
Erik says he isn't worried about a brand and shows Klaue the scars on his arm and explains that each one is for a kill.
"That's a lot of kills." Clint said.
Klaue says Erik can scar himself as much as he'd like but to them he's an outsider and says he's crazy if he thinks he can just walk in there. Erik shows Klaue the marking on the inside of his lip.
"The War Dogs marking? Erik's Wakandan?" Peggy asked.
"He is." T'Challa said but didn't reveal any more than that.
Klaue says he saw Erik as a crazy American. Erik shoots him.
"Well... at least he's taken care of." Strange said.
