W'Kabi and Erik walk outside the mines. W'Kabi says everything is on schedule.
Erik asks if the spies are alerted.
W'Kabi says they are and there's some resistance to their mission.
"Which is to be expected." Natasha said.
W'Kabi says the War Dogs in London, New York and London are standing by.
Erik says they'll strike there first and the others will come around.
"Are you sure about that?" Peter asked.
Erik picks up a spear and says it's a handheld sonic cannon powerful enough to stop a tank and undetectable by metal detectors. A jet departs.
"A very dangerous weapon." Fury said.
Erik says the world is going to find out exactly who they are. The jet gets blown up.
"Oh! Erik's in for it now." Clint said.
T'Challa, in the Black Panther suit, emerges from the wreckage. Okoye smiles when she sees he's alive. T'Challa greets Erik as N'Jadaka and says he never yielded and as they can see he isn't dead.
"We can tell... you're sitting in the same room as us and you're very much living." Rocket said.
Erik says the challenge is over with and he's the king.
"But... the challenge technically isn't over." Ned said. "No one yielded and no one died. Therefore, nobody technically won."
"Doesn't that mean that you're still technically the king?" Maria asked T'Challa.
Erik tells the people behind him to get the planes in the air and carry out the mission. Seconds later, the planes start taking off.
"Shit."
Shuri, Nakia and Everett sneak into Shuri's lab, dressed as members of the border tribe.
Erik tells W'Kabi to kill T'Challa.
Okoye tells W'Kabi that the challenge isn't complete.
Everyone silently begged W'Kabi to listen to Okoye and not try to kill T'Challa.
W'Kabi orders the border tribe to kill T'Challa and the charge at him.
"Vengeance really has consumed him." Steve sighed.
"It really has." T'Challa agreed, sadness creeping into his voice.
Okoye turns on Erik and says his heart is so full of hatred and says he's not fit to be a king. She and all the Dora point their spears at him. Erik's Black Panther suit on and points his swords at them.
"Damn, I may not like Erik very much right now, but I have to admit that suit is pretty sweet." Tony said.
Okoye orders the Dora to help T'Challa while she and 4 others stay back and start fighting Erik.
"It's on now." Sam said.
A plane starts shooting at T'Challa as he runs toward the border tribe. The border tribe use shields to keep him back, T'Challa jumps over them and knocks them all back with the stored kinetic energy, then grabs a spear and uses it to take down the plane.
"Awesome." Peter said.
"That was pretty badass." Scott said.
More members of the border tribe rush to attack T'Challa, Ayo and the Dora start attacking the border tribe.
T'Challa kicks W'Kabi away from him and asks him to stop. W'Kabi gets onto a rock and blows a horn and the border tribe starts chanting.
"What's that? What did he just do?" Rhodey asked.
"You will see." Okoye sighed.
Three rhinos rush over to them.
"What the hell?" Fury asked.
"Those- those are rhinoceroses." Coulson said, astonished.
"He called in the big guns." Carol said.
W'Kabi jumps on a rhino's back while the other 2 tear through the battlefield.
"My god." May gasped.
In the lab, Shuri grabs something that she and Nakia will take control of the Royal Talon with.
Everett asks what he's supposed to do.
Shuri puts some kimoyo beads around his wrist and tells him that he'll need to fly it and she'll guide him through it and says it's like riding a hoverbike.
"You guys have hoverbikes?" Sam asked.
"That's awesome." Ned said.
Shuri tells Nakia to take the Dora Milaje armor on the table.
Nakia says she isn't a Dora.
Shuri says it's armor and tells her to put it on then runs off and wishes Everett luck.
Everett says he doesn't know what he's doing.
"Join the club." The teenagers said.
Okoye and some Dora continue fighting Erik. Erik grabs one of them and holds a sword to her neck. The Dora says 'Wakanda Forever' then Erik slices her throat.
"No." Everyone gasped. The Wakandans bowed their heads in sorrow for the fallen warrior.
Okoye and the others attack Erik again. Erik kicks Okoye in the head. Shuri and Nakia exit the lab, Nakia is wearing the Dora armor. Shuri uses her gauntlets to shoot 2 people.
"Wow." Clint said, impressed.
Shuri throws the device at the Royal Talon.
A replica of the pilots chair appears on Shuri's sand table. Shuri tells Everett that she made it American style for him and tells him to get in. Everett gets in and the plane takes off.
Everyone cheered.
Shuri tells Everett not to let the weapons get beyond Wakanda. Everett says he's on it.
T'Challa grabs a rhino's horn and slams it to the ground.
The Dora lock Erik with their spears and then electrify them.
"Nice." MJ said.
They get Erik to his knees and Okoye, in Xhosa, tells them to get the necklace. Erik uses his suit's stored energy to send the Dora flying.
"Son of a bitch." Maria said.
Nakia yells out 'Wakanda Forever' and charges at Erik, Shuri shoots at him with her gauntlets.
Everett finds the planes with the weapons and asks Shuri what to do.
"What do you think?" Okoye asked.
Shuri tells him to shoot them down. Everett shoots one and it crashes into the water. The other planes start shooting at him. Everett starts swearing.
"Oh no." Carol said.
T'Challa kicks 2 members of the border tribe before a rhino knocks him away and he gets thrown into a rock.
"Ouch." Shuri commented.
Nakia uses her ring blades to attack Erik, and knocks a swords out of his hands. Erik uses his claws to cut her, then throws her away.
"Damn it." Bucky said.
Shuri uses the energy blasks from her gauntlets to contain Erik. Erik grabs a sword and hits her with it and causes her gauntlets to power down.
T'Challa wrapped an arm around his sister, protectively.
The border tribe run over to T'Challa and start attacking him. T'Challa sees Erik standing over Shuri.
T'Challa glared at Erik.
T'Challa uses the stored kinetic energy to send the border tribe away then runs to her.
Shuri tells Erik that he'll never be a true king. Just as Erik goes to stab her, T'Challa tackles him.
Everyone sighed in relief that Shuri wasn't hurt. "Oh, thank god." May said.
T'Challa and Erik punch each other as they fall into the mines. T'Challa lands on a track, Erik lands next to him. They start fighting, T'Challa swings on a light and kicks him. Their combined kinetic energy sends them back.
"And the challenge continues." Bruce said.
T'Challa tells Shuri to turn on the train on the bottom track.
Shuri says the stabilizers will deactivate his suit.
T'Challa says they'll deactivate Erik's too.
"Clever move." Clint said.
Shuri turns the train on and Erik and T'Challa get to seperate sides of the track. Their suits deactivate. Erik says he doesn't need a suit to kill T'Challa and says his reign is over.
T'Challa says Erik wants to see Wakanda become just like the people he hates so much.
"Kind of hypocritical if you ask me." Sam said.
Erik says he learned from his enemies and beat them at their own game.
"No... you just started thinking exactly like them and then became just like them." Natasha said.
T'Challa says Erik became his enemies and he'll destroy the world including Wakanda. Erik says the world took everything he ever loved away from him.
Despite everything that Erik had done and was currently trying to do, a few people couldn't help but feel a small pang of empathy for the man.
Erik says he'll make sure they're even and says he'll track down anyone who would even think about being loyal to T'Challa and put them in the dirt next to Zuri.
Everyone gasped.
"That's... a little extreme." Rhodey said, anxiously.
Shuri rushes over to Nakia. They asks each other if they're okay.
Everett dodges shots from the planes and tells Shuri that he lost one but 2 are on his tail. He hears a muffled explosion and asks what that was. An AI says the lab is under attack.
"Shit." Everyone swore.
The AI deactivates the hologram. A plane is shooting at the window across from Everett.
Shuri tells Everett that he needs to get out of there.
Everett asks how long he has.
"What is he doing?" Coulson asked.
"Something brave but incredibly stupid." Shuri muttered.
The AI says the glass integrity is at 50%.
Everett asks to be put back in.
"Is he crazy?" Tony asked.
"That's a brave choice he's making." Fury said.
Nakia, Shuri, Okoye and Ayo fend off the border tribe. The border make shield around them to trap them. W'Kabi tells them to surrender and says they have 3 seconds to lay down their weapons and starts counting.
Everyone glared at W'Kabi. Okoye was especially angry.
W'Kabi gets cut off by the Jabari making grunting noises.
"Is that who I think it is?" Peggy asked.
"The Jabari." The Wakandans answered, smiling.
"So they helped you after all." Strange noted.
M'Baku grabs W'Kabi and says to witness the might of the Jabari firsthand then throws him into a shield. The Jabari and the Dora Milaje start fighting the border tribe.
Everyone smiled and cheered for M'Baku and the Jabari tribe, happy that they came to help after all.
"I never thought I would see the day where the Dora would fight alongside the Jabari." Okoye said.
In the mines, T'Challa and Erik are fighting as another train comes to pass. Erik throws T'Challa off the track. Erik grabs a knife and they start fighting again.
The plane continues shooting at the labs window. The AI says the glass integrity is at 15%.
"Oh no." Happy whispered.
"Come on, Ross." Natasha said.
One of the planes shoots an electric tether at Everett, causing the planes weapons to fail.
"That's not good." Hope said.
"No, it is not." Hank agreed.
Everett tells Shuri that the last ship is almost to the border but he's trapped with some kind of cables.
Shuri tells him to make an 'X' with his arms. Everett does and the AI initiates sonic overload.
Shuri tells him to break the 'X'. Everett does and the 2 ships tethering him blow up.
"That was pretty sweet." Ned said.
"Well..." Shuri trailed off.
The plane Everett is in starts falling.
"Oh dear." Clint said.
The AI says the system will reboot in 5 seconds and starts counting. The plane stops before it hits the ground and Everett chases down the last plane before it crosses the border and destroys it.
"Hell yes!" Everyone cheered, glad that the weapons didn't make it out of Wakanda.
Everett starts celebrating. Shuri tells him to get out of the lab. Everett starts running as the window breaks.
"Oh shit." Loki said.
The Dora and Jabari continue taking out the border tribe. W'Kabi charges toward M'Baku, still on his rhino. Okoye stands in front of M'Baku and the rhino stops and licks her face.
"What?" Quill asked.
"It recognized me." Okoye said simply.
M'Baku runs off. W'Kabi gets off the rhino.
Everyone tensed, wondering what would go down between Okoye and W'Kabi.
Okoye tells him to drop his weapon. W'Kabi asks her of she'd kill him and calls her his love. Okoye says she would do it without question for Wakanda and points her spear at him.
Everyone glanced at Okoye, surprised. It took a lot to stand against someone that you loved for the good of your country, and it was definitely difficult to choose between your heart and your duty.
W'Kabi takes out his weapon and looks over at the battle taking place then drops his weapon and kneels. The rest of the border tribe kneel with him in surrender.
"Finally."
T'Challa and Erik are still fighting on the track. Another train goes by, Erik puts his knife to T'Challa's neck and moves to the edge of the track. T'Challa shoves Erik off of him and the knife goes flying. As the train passes, T'Challa catches the knife and stabs Erik in the chest.
Everyone gasped. "That was a clever move." Nebula said.
T'Challa's eyes were glued to the screen, remembering this moment.
Erik says that was a hell of a move. Erik says N'Jobu says Wakanda was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen and promised that he'd show it to him one day and asks if T'Challa can believe that he was a kid from Oakland who believed in fairy tales.
Everyone had tears in their eyes, knowing that Erik did get to see Wakanda but not in the way that he thought he would as a kid.
T'Challa stands up and picks up Erik, then they leave the mines and look at the sunset. Erik says it's beautiful.
Everyone smiled through their tears. Erik finally got to see the sun set in Wakanda, something his father promised to show him so long ago.
T'Challa sits down next to him and says they can still heal him.
Erik asks if they'll just lock him up after then asks to be buried in the ocean with his ancestors that jumped from the ships because they knew death was better than bondage.
"Damn... that's a powerful statement." Rhodey said.
Erik pulls the knife out and dies. T'Challa lays him flat and crosses his arms over his chest.
"Not many people would've done what you did." Fury said to T'Challa. "Respect their enemies dying wishes."
T'Challa walks into the palace. The Dora Milaje cross their arms over their chest in greeting, T'Challa does the same.
"Welcome back." Shuri said. "My king." She added half joking half serious. T'Challa rolled his eyes.
Later, T'Challa and Nakia are in the city. T'Challa thanks her for saving his family and the nation.
Nakia says there's nothing to thank her for and it was her duty to fight for what she loved.
T'Challa kisses her and says she can't blame him because he almost died. Nakia kisses him.
"Yes!" The teenagers cheered, they were waiting for this to happen.
T'Challa asks her to stay and says he thinks he knows of a way that she can still fulfill her calling. They kiss again.
"Awww." Everyone said.
"It it about time. I was getting tired of your pining." Shuri said.
A group of teenagers are playing basketball in Oakland. T'Challa and Shuri look at Erik's old apartment building. Shuri says when T'Challa said he was taking her to California she thought he meant Coachella or Disneyland.
Everyone giggled at Shuri.
Shuri asks why they're there. T'Challa says this is where T'Chaka killed N'Jobu.
Shuri sees a sign and notes that they're tearing the building down.
T'Challa says they're not tearing it down and says he bought the building and the 2 next to it.
"Really? What for?" Quill asked.
"You're planning something." Pepper said, smiling.
"I am." T'Challa said.
T'Challa says it will be the first Wakandan international outreach center and Nakia will oversee the social outreach and Shuri will spearhead the science and information exchange.
"That's actually amazing." Hope said. The Wakandans only smiled.
T'Challa presses one of his kimoyo beads and the ship uncloaks, shocking the kids and they run to go look at it.
"They're so excited." Clint said. "I love it."
Shuri walks over to them. One of the kids asks where she's from.
Shuri says she's from Wakanda.
One of the kids asks what a Wakanda is.
"A- a country." MJ said.
One of the kids walks up to T'Challa and asks if the plane is his and asks who he is.
"You're going to stop the facade of what Wakanda is, then?" Natasha asked.
"That we are." T'Challa said.
'United Nations: Vienna, Austria' appears on the screen. T'Challa, Nakia, Okoye and Ayo stand before other world leaders and reporters. T'Challa introduces himself as the ruler of Wakanda and says that for the first time in their history they'll be sharing their knowledge and resources with the outside world and they will no longer watch from the shadows.
"Can't stand by and do nothing when you know people need help and you have the resources to do just that." Peggy said.
"It was time for change." T'Challa said.
T'Challa says they'll work to be an example of how they should treat each other and says the illusions of division threaten their very existence and says more connects them than separates them. He says in times of crisis the wise build bridges while the foolish build barriers.
"More important to work together than separately." Natasha said. "I wish we knew that when we started fighting each other at that airport in Leipzig."
T'Challa says they must find a way to look after each other as if they were a single tribe.
"Nice speech." Steve said.
Someone asks T'Challa what a nation of farmers could possibly have to offer the world.
"You'd be surprised." Shuri said.
3 children stand over someone, they hear rustling outside and run off. Shuri is outside and asks them if they're playing around with that man again.
"Who is 'that man'?" Valkyrie asked.
Bucky walks out of his hut.
"Oh, the man is you." Valkyrie noted.
The kids run back over to him and call him 'White Wolf' in Xhosa.
"Why do they call you that?" Steve asked.
Bucky walks over to Shuri who greets him as Sergeant Barnes.
Bucky asks her to call him Bucky.
Shuri asks how he's feeling.
Bucky says he's good and thanks her.
Shuri asks him to come and says there's more for him to learn.
"You teaching him about the 21st century?" Sam asked.
