Everyone in the room was still hugging their friends and family closed, thinking that they would suddenly disappear if they happened to let go for even a second. May was hugging her nephew tightly, her tears haven't stopped falling since she watch Peter fade into thin air.
Sam and Bucky, while they would never consider themselves friends or even remotely close to one another, happened to be clutching each other's hands for comfort while Steve stretched his arms around the two of them.
The guardians were still group-hugging, Mantis was sobbing, as she felt the utter despair of everyone in the room with her.
Shuri was silently sobbing into the crook of T'Challa's neck, grief-stricken. T'Challa and Okoye wrapped their arms around her, hoping it would bring her some comfort. They hated seeing the usually upbeat and slightly girl cry.
Natasha placed her head on Clint's shoulder while he rested his head on top of hers. Both were crying silently. Clint was regretting that his future self couldn't help them in their battle against Thanos, Scott was having similar feelings.
There were several mournful moments of silence before anyone spoke. "Half the population... gone forever." Bruce said, still trying to process what they just watched. "They just turned to dust before our eyes." Steve said, trying to stop crying at the thought of losing Bucky again. "Groot disappeared- all of you disappeared." Rocket said sadly and looked at the rest of the guardians.
"He killed Vision." Wanda whispered, in shock. "He killed Loki." Thor added, also in shock. "He killed Gamora, his own daughter. He said he loved her and he threw her off a cliff." Quill choked.
"I hope Laura and the kids aren't- I hope they didn't." Clint tried to speak, but he didn't allow himself to finish his sentence, too scared of the possibility that they did get dusted. "Oh. God. Cassie!" Scott gasped, the worry for his daughter coming back and hitting him full force.
"He murdered trillions of people, maybe more and he called it mercy. He said they'd be grateful for it." Carol said, angrily. "What a sick, twisted bastard."
"The people that were- that disappeared... where are they? Did they go somewhere or are- are they just-" Hope asked. "Dr. Strange... you disappeared, but you remember all of this, so you must've gone somewhere, right?" Peter asked. "The people that... faded from existence, we're all trapped in the Soul World." Strange answered, trying, and failing, not to let any emotion creep into his voice.
"Thanos still has the stones, what is he going to do with them now that he doesn't need them anymore?" Maria asked. "I don't know, but I dread it, whatever it may be." Gamora said.
"What are we gonna do?" Tony asked, hopelessly. "We'll avenge them. You said it yourself, Tony. 'If we can't protect the Earth, you can be damn well sure we'll Avenge it.'." Steve said. "So how do we do that?" Clint ask. "I don't know, but I hope there's something in these films that can be useful." Steve answered.
"Fury who were you paging?" Natasha asked. "Me." Carol answered. A few people looked like they had more questions but decided not to ask them, figuring that they might get answered later on anyway.
"I know you all have questions. And I know that you know that I can't give you any answers, but the next film is going to start soon, so I need you to finish your conversations." Loraine said. "Can't or won't." Fury asked, agitated. "Can't." Lorraine said, not giving any reason as to why.
'Ant-Man and The Wasp' appeared on the screen.
