Back in the lab, Hank tells Scott and hope that Bill is filling Ava's head with lies and Elihas was a traitor who stole his ideas.

"Makes a little more sense to be honest." Hope said.

Hank commands the ants as they work on the tunnel and worries that Bill fried the system.

Hope says they can adjust the relays while he reprograms the settings then she puts the component into the slot.

"This is it." Hope said, anxiously.

Hope tells Scott that she thought she'd be prepared after all this time.

Scott says going sub-atomic isn't something someone can prepare for and says it melts your mind.

"I don't think that's what she meant, Scott." Hank said.

Hope says she meant seeing Janet again and asks what if she's a completely different person.

Scott jokes about her being George Washington or George Jefferson.

Everyone giggled at Scott's attempt to lighten the situation.

Hope worries that Janet's forgotten about her.

Scott says when he was in prison the only thing that got him through it was Cassie. He says he could've been locked up for 100 years and would never forget about her.

The parents in the room (Clint and May.) Felt they could relate to that. Of course they've never, presently, been in a situation like that but they knew that they could never forget about their kids.

Scott says he knows Janet is counting the minutes until she can see Hope again.

"Looks like you can be comforting after all." Hope said, smiling slightly.

Luis calls Scott and tells him that they have a problem and says Scott forgot the motion sensor lights on the back of the building and says they're on the proposal and Karapetyan asked for them specifically.

"Can't catch a break, can you?" Peter asked.

"Apparently not." Scott sighed.

Scott says he could stop by tomorrow and take a look at it.

Luis says the meeting is first thing in the morning and he needs to come fix it now.

Scott says he can't leave.

Luis says he'll come to Scott and bring the plans so Scott can fix them and asks Scott where he is.

"Don't tell him, Scott." Hank said.

Scott says it's complicated.

Luis asks what he means.

The lab is shown to be in the middle of the woods.

"Well I guess that's one way to ensure people won't find it." Rhodey said.

In the offices, Kurt and Dave rehearse their presentations. Dave says the system is state of the art.

Kurt says it's the security of tomorrow, today.

"That's a good closing statement, actually." Clint said.

Luis tells them to keep practicing and says he's going to Scott's to fix the plans. Before he leaves, Luis asks if they got the van washed.

Dave says they did, down to the undercarriage.

"I honestly thought they would've forgotten about the van." Carol said.

Luis gets mad at them for springing for the undercarriage.

Dave reminds him that he said to get the works.

Luis says that's a scam because they live in California not Minnesota.

"He's right." Hope said.

Burch walks in and says Luis is right because the undercarriage wash is for cleaning off road salt from the more snow-laden states.

"Why is he there?" Scott asked, worried for his friends. "How did he find them? What does he want from them?"

Luis asks Burch who he is and why he knows so much about car wash protocol.

"'Car Wash Protocol.' I like that." Clint said.

Burch introduces himself and tells Luis that he does his research and says he learned from his FBI friend that Luis is an associate of Scott who's an associate of Hank.

"Shit." Hank swore.

"Who is his FBI friend that he keeps getting information from?" Natasha asked.

Burch says he's learned that Hank has a portable shrinking lab filled with tech then asks Luis to tell him where it is.

"Don't tell him!" Everyone shouted.

Luis says he doesn't know what Burch is talking about.

Burch comments on Luis' resistance and says he's promised results to some dangerous people and says he'll introduce Luis to Uzman.

"Who's Uzman?" Peter asked. "Actually, I don't think I want to know."

Uzman opens a case of syringes. Burch says Uzman is a master at extracting information from the unwilling through psychoactive means. Uzman takes out one of the syringes.

"So... it's a truth serum." Bucky said.

"Yeah, pretty much." Sam agreed. "That's what it sounds like anyway."

Luis asks if it's a truth serum.

Uzman says there's no such thing as truth serum and says it's nonsense from TV.

"You're injecting him with something that'll make him give up the location of the lab." Hope said. "It sounds like truth serum to me."

Dave asks what it is then.

Burch says it's a little concoction that Uzman's been perfecting since his days with the SIS. He says it makes you suggestible and highly responsive.

"That's what truth serum is." Ned said.

"That's exactly what a truth serum does." Peter agreed.

Luis says it's a truth serum.

Uzman says it isn't.

"Whatever you say." Scott said.

Kurt says it sounds like truth serum to him.

"Because it is." Clint said.

The other deny that it's a truth serum. Dave says if it walks, talks and acts like ducks then it's a truth serum.

"Maybe that's not what they want to name it... but that's what it is." Shuri said.

Luis says he has a lot of allergies so they might want to thing about that.

"I'm sure they'll take that into consideration." Fury said, sarcastically.

Bill and Ava are at their house. Bill says they need to get the lab back because the chamber and suit are barely helping.

Ava asks how long she has. Bill says she has a couple of weeks.

Everyone in the room felt a pang of sympathy for Ava. She was dying because of what she had and she only wanted to find a way to cure herself.

Ava says they'll make them bring the lab back.

Burch asks how.

Ava says with Scott and says he has a daughter.

"She wouldn't... hurt an innocent child, would she?" Hope asked.

"No." Scott gasped. "I don't care how desperate she is or how much pain she's in, I will not let her harm my daughter."

Bill says she can't mean that and says he tolerates a lot of things she does but he won't be a part of anything like that.

Ava says he isn't the one who's about to fade into nothing.

"That doesn't excuse trying to harm an innocent child." May said.

Ava reminds Bill that he said he'd fix her.

Bill says he will but not like that and says they're done if she lays one finger on Cassie.

Ava agrees and says there are other options.

Scott sighed in relief, thankful that Foster was able to talk Ava down from hurting Cassie.

"'Other options'. I don't think I like the sound of that." Hope said.

Luis get's injected and agrees that it isn't truth serum because he doesn't feel anything before saying that was a lie and he does feel something and says it is truth serum.

Uzman says there is no such thing as truth serum.

"Well... It sure as hell sounds like a truth serum." Rhodey said.

"Deny it all you want, it's a truth serum." Tony agreed.

Burch tells Luis that he'll make it easy for him and asks where Scott is.

"He's going to find a way to complicate this, I know it." Maria said.

Luis says it's complicated and says Scott was in a bad place when they met. He says he isn't talking about cell block D and says Maggie had just filed for divorce.

"And he's overcomplicating it." Carol said.

Flashback to Scott and Luis' cell. Luis says he was like 'Damn homie she dumped you when you were on lockup?'

"That's what Luis looked like when you met?" Wanda asked.

Luis says Scott was like 'Yeah, I thought I was gonna be with her forever, but now I'm all alone'.

Luis says he was like 'Damn, homie you know what? You gotta Chin up because you'll find a new partner.'

"Well, he was right." Scott said.

Luis says he was like 'But you know what, I'm Luis.'

Luis says Scott was like 'You know what? I'm Scotty and we're gonna be bestfriends.'

"I don't remember it going like that." Scott said.

"I still love Luis' storytelling." Peter said.

Burch stops Luis and says he likes a good story as much as the next person and asks what that has to do with where Scott is.

"Well, to know where I am you need to know where I've been." Scott said, barely stifling his laughter.

Luis says he's getting there.

Dave says Burch put a dime in him and he needs to let the whole song play out.

Kurt says Luis is like a human jukebox.

"That seems pretty accurate." Hope said.

"Yeah, I can't really think of a better comparison." Clint said.

Luis remembers that his abuelita had a jukebox in her restaurant that only played Morrissey.

"Here we go... again." Hank said.

Luis says if anyone ever complained she'd be like- In a flashback, Luis abuelita starts yelling in Spanish.

Luis says they relate to his melancholy ballads. Burch gets Luis back on track.

"You brought this on Burch, you have to sit through and play the long game now." Scott said.

Luis says Scott gets out of jail and starts working with Hank which was when he met Hope.

Flashback to Hank's house with Hope and Scott. Luis says Hope was like 'I want nothing to do with you. Look at my hairdo, I'm all business.'

"That is not how it happened." Hope protested.

Luis says Scott was like 'You know what, girl? My heart is all broken and I'll probably never find love again, but damn I wanna kiss you.'

"Wh- What?" Scott asked.

"This is hilarious." Quill said, laughing.

Flashback Scott and Hope make out. Luis says they're all into each other and Scott was like 'You know what? I can't tell you this but I'm gonna go trash an airport with Captain America.'

Scott and Steve winced.

Flashback Hope is on the phone. Luis says she was like 'I can't believe you split like that, smell you later, dummy.'

"That's probably the most accurate part of this story." Scott said.

Luis says Scott went on house arrest and he wont admit it but his heart is all like 'Damn! I thought Hope coulda been my new true partner but I blew it.'

"I did." Scott sighed.

"But at least you're trying to fix it." Hope said.

Luis says fate brought them back together and Hope's heart is all 'I'm worried that I can't trust him and he's gonna screw up again and ruin everything.'

"I feel like that's also accurate." Hope said.

Luis says his heart is all 'That fancy raspberry filling represents the company's red and we're days away from going out of business.' Kurt and Dave are shocked to hear this.

"What!?" Everyone shouted.

"No wonder he was being such a stickler about how much they were spending." Natasha said.

Luis curses the truth serum and tells Kurt and Dave that he was trying to protect them.

"By not telling them that your business was failing..." Rhodey said.

"I think he was just trying not to stress them out." Scott said.

Luis says he was trying to be a good boss and says they're broke and the Karapetyan's their last hope and they're done if they don't show up.

Kurt says that's terrible bossing and Dave kicks his chair.

"Well he's right." Hope said.

Burch get's Luis' attention again and asks where Scott is.

Luis says he's been trying to tell Burch that Scott is in a really tricky spot emotionally speaking.

"He shouldn't have added on that last part." Clint said.

Burch asks where Scott is, literally speaking.

Luis says he's in the woods.

"Shit." Hank, Hope and Scott cursed.

Ava appears behind Burch, frightening everyone, and asks Luis what he means by 'the woods.'

"Was she there the whole time?" Wanda asked.

Luis says he's in the Muir woods, on the second fire road off the Panoramic highway. Ava leaves.

"And now everyone who's after us knows where we are." Hank sighed.

"Well... the FBI doesn't know." Scott pointed out.

"Don't jinx it, man." Sam said.

Kurt sings a song about Baba Yaga. 'Baba Yaga come at night, little children sleepy tight.'

"That's a creepy song." May said.

Burch leaves the building to see his tire has been slashed and says he'll never see Hank's tech if Ava gets it.

Uzman asks what they do now.

Burch says it's easier to steal from the feds than from the boogeyman.

"True." Rocket said.

Burch calls his FBI contact and asks if he'd like a promotion before saying he knows where Hank, Hope and Scott are.

"Shit." Scott sighed.

Burch says he'll have to take them down now because they won't be there for long and says to get the lab when he does.

"You jinxed it." Sam said.

"I did." Scott agreed, feeling a little guilty for it.

Burch tells his men that the feds will do the hard work for them. Luis, Dave and Kurt watch. Burch tells one of the men to change his tires.

"No need to be rude about it." Peter said.

In his office, Jimmy is trying to do a card trick.

"He's trying to learn close up magic?" Scott asked.

"I love that." Ned said.

Someone knocks on the door, causing Jimmy to drop his cards.

Jimmy asks the man to knock. Stoltz says they got a lead.

Jimmy says he loves leads.

"Jimmy Woo's partner is Burch's FBI contact?" Hope asked.

"Honestly, that's probably the least surprising thing that's happened in this film." Tony said.

In the lab, Hank and Hope power up the quantum tunnel. Hope tells Scott to tell them if he gets anything that could be part of her message when the tunnel opens.

"This is it." Hank said, tense.

"Yeah, this is it." Hope agreed, equally as tense.

Hank pulls a lever and the tunnel opens. Hank asks Scott if he's got anything.

Scott says he doesn't.

Hank tells him to give it a minute. The tunnel powers down.

"What?" Quill asked.

"Why will nothing go right for us?" Hope asked, sullenly.

Scott asks what's happening. Hope says it's shutting down and says their vectors might be off.

Hank says he knows their right because he's gone over them a million times.

"I wonder what caused it, then." Bruce said.

Scott suddenly rushes up to the computers.

"Scott, what are you doing?" Hank asked.

"I don't know." Scott said.

Hank asks Scott what he's doing and tells him to get away from it. Scott says he doesn't know how much time he has and says he needs to fix the algorithm.

"What?" Hank and Hope asked.

"What do you mean you need to fix the algorithm?" Tony asked.

Scott says after 30 years down there, he's thought about it a lot.

"What are you talking about?" Hope asked.

"I'm just as confused as you are." Scott said.

"I think I know what's happening." Strange said, but no one heard him.

Hank realizes Janet is Scott. 'Janet' touches Hank's face and greets him, then turns to Hope and greets her and calls her 'Jellybean.'

"So... Janet is speaking through me?" Scott asked.

"This is so weird." Hope said.

"Tell me about it." Hank said.

'Janet' says this isn't the reunion she imagined and says it's rushed. She says they've done some great work but they need a little nudge. The quantum tunnel powers back on.

"Okay, good it's working again." Clint said.

"Now we can actually find her." Hope said.

'Janet' rushes toward the tunnel, Hank and Hope follow. Hank asks 'Janet' how this is possible.

Hope realizes that Janet didn't put a message in Scott's head but an antenna.

"A what now?" Scott asked. "Your mom put an antenna in my head?"

"I guess so." Hope said.

'Janet' calls Hope clever and says she's so proud of her.

Hank asks 'Janet' to tell them where she is and how to find her.

'Janet' says the probability fields are too complex and that's why she needed to talk to them and says they need to follow her voice.

"What? Like tracing a cell phone signal?" Sam asked.

"Yes, actually." Hank said.

Hope says it's like tracing a call to it's source.

Hank says he's tracking the signal using sub-atomic frequencies between point 2 and point 9. 'Janet' says to narrow it to 4 and 6. Hank says they could miss her because it's too tight.

"He's right." Shuri said.

Hank settles on 3 and 7.

'Janet' makes a comment on that being their first fight in decades.

"Wasn't even really a fight, just a disagreement." Natasha said.

They pinpoint Janet's location. 'Janet' says they need to meet her at those exact coordinates in the wasteland beyond the quantum void and says it's dangerous especially on the human mind.

"Well, I wouldn't expect anything less." Hank said.

"I guess we better prepare ourselves." Hope said.

'Janet' says time and space work differently down there and says they have 2 hours and after that the probability fields will shift and it'll be another century before they align again.

"That's a small time frame." Thor said.

"So we have 2 hours to get her out and we have Ava and Bill, Burch and his men and the FBI trying to find us." Hank said.

"No pressure." Scott said.

Hope says they'll find her.

'Janet' kisses Hope's forehead and says she knows they will.

Scott comes back to himself and says he has nothing on Janet.

"Well, you actually did." Hope said. "I guess you just don't remember it."

"That was so weird to watch, I'm not going to lie." Sam said.

Scott asks how they ended up there then holds up his and Hank's hands with a confused look.

Everyone laughed. "This is... awkward. Let's move on." Scott said.

Scott starts telling them about the quantum realm and says first they'll see all kinds of light's and it'll get very trippy but then it'll turn black and silent.

"That sounds terrifying." May said.

"It was." Scott said.

Hope says she'll be fine. Scott says he's just saying that because he's been down there. Hope says he's mentioned that.

Scott looked down, slightly embarrassed at being called out like that.

Scott gets a phone call from Luis and asks Luis if he's coming.

Luis says he isn't but Ava is and the feds know where they are.

"I have to get home." Scott suddenly realizes. "Well, that version of me has to get home."

"I almost forgot about that." Clint said.

Luis says they gave him a truth serum and all of a sudden he was talking honestly and says he hates the way Scott loads the dishwasher.

"What's wrong with how I load the dishwasher?" Scott asks.

Luis tells Scott to go home because the feds are probably going there now then asks who puts plates on the top rack and says they don't go there.

"He's right. Plates, bowls and utensils go on the bottom, mugs and glasses go on top, unless you have a fancy dishwasher with 3 racks, one for silverware in which case that would go on the top and the bigger utensils would stay in the little basket on the bottom." Clint said.

Scott walks back to Hope and Hank. He says he feels like a jerk and they'll hate him for this and says they need to go and says Ava and the FBI know where they are.

Hank asks how.

Scott says he told Luis where they were.

"I shouldn't have done that." Scott said. "I'm so sorry."

"You're right, you shouldn't have. But you also technically haven't done it yet so I really can't be that mad, but I'm still mad." Hope said.

Scott says he told Luis to come so he could help him with the Karapetyan proposal.

"Now I know why he was so stressed over it." Scott said.

Scott says they need to land that account or they'll lose the business and asks if they know how hard it is for ex-cons to find work these days.

"Yeah, no one will hire people who were convicted of even the smallest crimes." Scott sighed.

"Well we may not know how hard it is for felons to find jobs now, but we will if the FBI finds us." Hope said.

Hank, Hope and Scott go into the other room. Hope says there's 90 seconds to close the aperture.

Hank says she needs to depolarize the coils first.

Scott apologizes and says the FBI is going to his house so he has to go and asks if he could borrow the suit.

Hank sighed. "Sorry." Scott said.

When he gets no answer, he says he'll borrow the suit and he'll come back and tells them to tell him where they'll be.

Hope tells him not to bother.

Scott shrunk back in guilt. He knew it would be a bad idea to tell Luis where the lab was.

Hope says they'll get the suit from him as soon as they've found Janet and tells him to go.

Scott, now in the suit, flies off on an ant.

"Good luck with the feds." Happy said.

Maggie, Paxton and Cassie walk into Scott's house. Maggie says they're there for Cassie's shoes.

Paxton says Scott must be resting.

"Right the 'I'm sick' lie. I almost forgot about that whole thing." Scott said.

Paxton tells Cassie to go upstairs and look under her bed. Cassie runs upstairs as Maggie searches the living room.

Paxton finds bite marks on a plant. Maggie says Scott lives like a pig these days.

"Hey! It was probably the ant." Scott protested.

"Please, you're not all that different from that ant." Hope said.

"Ouch." Scott said.

Cassie opens the bathroom and finds an ant in the bathtub with Scott's ankle monitor.

Jimmy and his team burst through the door. Maggie says they have no shame.

"True." Fury said.

A woman says the monitor says Scott is in the bathroom.

Jimmy says he's not buying it.

"Of course not." Scott sighed, worried that his future self hasn't made it back in time.

Jimmy walks to the stairwell, Cassie stands in his way. Maggie tells her to let him get by.

Cassie says Scott is super sick.

Jimmy says he'll see about that.

"I get it, you're doing your job but damn, you don't need to be so rude about it." Scott said.

Cassie says Scott doesn't want anyone else to get sick.

Jimmy says he'll take his chances.

Cassie says Scott barfed a lot.

Jimmy says he's a federal agent and he's seen worse than vomit before asking if it was 'a lot a lot.'

"Is he serious?" Maria asked. "The man is and FBI agent and he's uncomfortable with Vomit."

Jimmy pushes past her and into the bathroom. Scott opens the door an steps out.

"Oh thank god you got there in time." Clint said.

Scott asks Jimmy why he's there and says he's really sick before walking back into the bathroom and saying you have to get it out sometimes.

"Gross." Ned said.

Scott closes the door and makes retching noises.

"You're very committed." May said.

Hank and Hope leave the lab. Hank says he'll start the van and tells Hope to get the lab. Hank shrinks the lab. Several agents are behind it with guns pointed.

"Shit!" Hank swore.

Stoltz says they're under arrest.

Hope and Hank looked at each other worriedly.
