Chapter 13: Ending Part Four

Previously on What If: Troypay Style:

Everyone smiles and Troy looks at his family. He can't help and think about what Sharpay said. He is determined to make sure that they both live happy and forever until it's their times to go. Which he hopes is a long time from now. But like Father Time told him that everything happens for a reason and while other might not be able to change their fates. He was glad that he was able to change his or did he really change it?

Two Months Later:

Troy and Sharpay's bedroom

Two months have now passed since Troy and Sharpay welcomed their daughter Aroura into the world. While they are extremely happy to have their daughter with them, but as every new parents are also exhausted. Every single night before putting their daughter in her bassinette, Sharpay is sitting down in a rocking chair holding Aroura while singing her to sleep. Troy is downstairs making sure everything is done and all the doors are locked before he goes to joins his girls.

While on his way up to his room he stops right by the when he hears Sharpay singing. Getting lost while listening: (Part of the song is Down to the Sea from LM2)

Awwwwww awwww

You are my world my darling

What a wonderful world I see

You are the song I'm singing

You're my beautiful Aroura.

Like the meaning of your name

My darling you are the dawn,

You are also the sunshine in my life.

After Sharpay finishes singing Aroura to sleep, she looks down in her arms at her sunshine and sees that she is out. Sharpay places Aroura in her bassinette and looks up to see her husband standing by the door.

"You know if you keep staring at me like that I'm going to one day think that you are some crazy stalker." She says joking.

Troy looks up and laughs at what his wife just said. "Will, I just can't help myself. Especially, when it comes to you and our beautiful little girl."

"Nice save, so did everything check out okay?"

"Yes"

"That's good and now we can go to sleep before our daughter wakes us up. And this time it's your turn to get up with her tonight."

"Yeah…." Troy says agreeing before he realizes what Sharpay just said, "Wait a minute I've been getting up with her for over a week now. It's your turn."

"Right, so with me not only carrying her for nine months and then almost nine hours of labor might I add. You are complaining about having to get up and take care of your daughter during the night. So that way your wife can get some rest. Yeah want to try that answer again?"

"Baby, come on you know I love our daughter. But I'm just really tired you know?"

"Troy, honey?"

"Yes, baby?"

"You want to have more kids in the near future right?"

"Yes…." Troy says already knowing where this conversation was going to go.

"Then you agree that you will take care of her during the night and I'll take care of her during the day while you are at your practices and interviews without complaining anymore?"

"Yes, ma'am" Troy says knowing that Sharpay would get him to agree with her one way or another way.

"Good now that's settled let's get some sleep before our sunshine here decides she's hungry."

After all that conversation is done both Troy and Sharpay get into their bed and kiss each other goodnight. As soon as Sharpay's head hits her pillow she is fast asleep while Troy on the other hand is still awake.

Troy looks over to see if Sharpay is still awake but when he sees that she is out like a light, he just stays lying down besides her waiting for sleep to finally come for him. Until he hears Aroura making noise so he gets out of bed and goes over to the bassinette and lefts up his daughter.

"Shhh, baby girl it's okay daddy has you." He says in a whisper.

Aroura looks up at her father still with tears in her eyes and pouts her lips.

"It's okay baby girl I'm here." Troy says not wanting her to wake up Sharpay. "Come on and let's go downstairs so that way we don't wake up your mommy. Cause if you do wake her up than daddy will never hear the end of it."

So after that Troy takes Aroura downstairs and sits on the couch. Turns on the TV and holds his daughter close to him. Hoping that will settle her down. But what he wasn't planning on was for Aroura to be more like her mother in more ways. Aroura let's out a loud cry wanting her mother and only her mother to take care of her.

"Shhhh, shhh come on sweetie," Troy says getting up from the couch and begins bouncing Aroura up and down gently hoping that will calm her down. "Sweetie, you're okay and daddy has you." But Aroura being only two months old doesn't want him.

'Okay, how can I get my two month old to stop crying before my wife comes downstairs and I never hear the end of it?' Troy thinks.

"Do you want daddy to sing to you?" He asks his little girl, but she is now to the point where she is red in the face from crying.

However before he could try asking Aroura another question he suddenly sees Sharpay standing behind him. After hearing the baby crying she woke up and came downstairs after realizing that Troy and Aroura were not in the room.

"Come to mommy my sweet little angel." Sharpay says taking Aroura out of Troy's arms. After Aroura looks up and sees she is in her mother's arms. She starts to stop crying and settle down.

Troy just looks, "So you just wanted your mommy?" while looking at his daughter in his wife's arms.

"Calm down honey she loves you but she is hungry." Sharpay says. For two months since she has been at home taking care of the baby she has come into knowing what her baby needs based on her cries.

"I'll go and make her a bottle."

"Hmmmmm, honey I haven't quite gotten her used to a bottle yet. Sorry I forgot to let you know when I told you to get up with her tonight."

"Okay, I'm going back to bed then."

After that Troy goes back upstairs to his and Sharpay's room and goes to sleep. Meanwhile Sharpay is trying so hard not to laugh at her husband. Once the baby has finished eating and is burped. Sharpay changes her damper and takes her back upstairs and puts her back in her bassinette and falls asleep.

Ten Months Later:

Bolton House (Aroura's First Birthday!)

Now after twelve months it was finally time for Aroura's first birthday. Sharpay and Troy have both been busy getting things set up around their house to celebrate with their friends and family.

"Can you believe that our baby is a year old already?" Sharpay asked Troy trying to keep her tears at bay.

"I can't even believe that we have a one year old now. It only seems like yesterday that she was coming into this world."

"Yeah..."

"You feeling okay Pay?"

"Yeah, today just got me thinking about how time really does seem to past by so fast."

"I know and are you sure that you are okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine."

"Okay." Troy said not really believing his wife. Over the years since they have known each other Troy has gotten to know Sharpay really well.

"I'm going to go get my sunshine and ready for her party from upstairs. And then I'll be down after that." Sharpay tells Troy before handing to the stair case. Troy nods his head and continues to get everything else set up.

- 20 minutes later:

After what seemed like forever, Troy looks up to see his girls coming down the stairs. Aroura is dress in a baby pink princess dress. And Sharpay is wearing a short dress that goes down to her knees in the same color as Aroura wanting to match with her little angel.

"Wow!" Troy says looking at his wife. "You both look gorgeous."

"Why thank you my love."

Before Troy could say anything else the front door opens and in walks Ryan, Gabby, Taylor, Chad, Zeke, Martha, Kelsi, Jason, and the grandparents. Once they enter into the house everyone looks to the little family of three. The girls and grandmothers all go over to Sharpay as they are wanting to not only see her but to also hold the baby.

"OMGEE, look at how beautiful my granddaughter is!" Lisa says (Troy's mom).

"I know she is the most beautiful little girl right next to her mother of course!" Derby says as well (Ryan and Sharpay's mother).

"Oh I just have to hold this little angel and never let her go." Lisa says while looking up at Sharpay who nods her head and hands Aroura over to her.

"I can't believe my godchild is now a year old!" Taylor says to the girls.

"I know it seems just like it was yesterday Shar called and told us she was pregnant." Gabby says.

"Right, and at first I thought she was joking." Taylor recalls.

"Wait you thought I was joking when I told you that I was pregnant?" Sharpay asks.

"Yes, because I remembered back before we entered into our junior year of high school you said that you weren't going to have kids until you we at least done with Law School." Taylor answers.

"Really, I said that?" Sharpay asked.

"Yup!" all the girls say at the same time.

Sharpay thinks back to that conversation that Taylor was talking about.

Flashback to Junior Year of High School:

(Shows a 16 almost 17 year old Sharpay talking to her friends: Taylor, Gabby, Martha, and Kelsi)

"So Shar, when are you and Troy going to be making us aunts and uncles?" Taylor asked.

"Yeah we are all dying to know this answer girlie." Gabby adds.

"Probably not until after I finish up Law School." Sharpay responds.

"Why?" Kelsi asks this time around. Normally Kelsi is the quit one in the group of girls but she really wanted to know when Sharpay and Troy would be having kids.

"I want to be able to be out of college before having kids and plus I want to be the hands on type of mother." Sharpay answers.

"I get that part but, what happens if you were to ever get pregnant before you finish Law School?" Martha asked.

"I guess it just all depends on where Troy and I are at as a couple. Whether or not if we are ready for kids when it does happen but I just want to be sure that I am ready for a baby." Sharpay says.

"Sounds like a plan and does Troy know about this plan of yours?" Taylor asks with a smirk already knowing the answer her best friend is going to say.

"Please, girl you know Troy. If it were up to him not only would we be married by now but I would probably be starting out senior year with a bump." Sharpay responds.

"True but even he wants to wait right?" Kelsi asks a little bit confused.

"Kels, you've seen how Troy is when he sees Pay here talking to other guys. His eyes go green and he looks ready to kill the guy talking to Pay. I agree with Pay that if it were up to him they would be married already and he would be getting her pregnant just so other guys would leave her alone." Gabby says before Sharpay can even say anything.

"Please girl I bet you when she does become pregnant that won't stop any guy from talking, hitting, and flirting with her. Troy will still have to be around her just to make sure every guy knows that is his girl who is having his baby." Taylor says.

"True." All the girls say in agreement.

End of Flashback:

While Sharpay was having that little flashback Taylor looks over to her best friend and sees the blank look on her face. (Everyone else is already outside in the back yard waiting for the cake.)

"Pay!" Taylor shouts a little bit and snapping her fingers to get Sharpay's attention.

"What? Sorry I was just thinking about something." Sharpay says.

"I asked you if you want any help with the cake."

"Oh yes please."

"Okay, what were you thinking about there?"

"I was just thinking about when I told you guys when Troy and I would have kids."

"Oh yeah and then we were just going on about how protective and jealous that husband of yours gets."

"Yeah, I still can't believe how long ago that conversation of ours was."

"Seems like yesterday we were in the mid of our junior year of high school and now we are married, you have a beautiful little girl and I am…." Taylor starts off by saying before realizing that she was about to say her surprise for after Aroura's birthday party.

"Tay, are you pregnant?" Sharpay asks.

Knowing that one way or another Sharpay will get the truth out of her Taylor says, "Yes, I just found out last week that…." Before getting interrupted by Sharpay.

"You've known for a week? How far along are you?!"

"Yes and I was just about to tell you that before you interrupted. I'm 3 months about to become 4 months along."

"OMGEE! I'm so happy for you and now our babies will grow up together at the same time."

"Yeah, wait did you just say our babies?" Taylor asks not knowing that Sharpay found out two days ago that she was pregnant again. (She still has yet to tell Troy)

"Yeah, because I'm pregnant again too!" Sharpay says happy.

"No Way! How far along are you?"

"About 3 months as well."

"When did you find out? Does Troy know?"

"I found out two days ago and no he doesn't know yet."

"Why haven't you told him?"

"Because I wanted to wait until after Aroura's party before I said anything." Sharpay says lying because after she found out that she was pregnant again. She went and saw her OBGYN and her doctor told her some hard news.

"Really? Because I have a feeling that there is something that you aren't telling me. You know you can tell me anything right?"

"I know and you are right." Sharpay says looking down.

"What's wrong then sissy?"

"My doctor told me that not only was I pregnant with twins no less but I also have preeclampsia."

"I'm sorry honey, wait you're having twins?"

"Yeah I am, but I don't know how I'm going to tell Troy."

"Honey you know you are going to have to tell him."

"I know but…."

"But what Pay?"

"If something were to happen to me while in delivery I need you to promise me something."

"Promise you what?"

"That if there is a choice to be made between my life and the babies' lives, you tell Troy to choose our babies."

"Hon, this might be the one promise I'm not sure I can keep."

"Why?"

"Because it would mean that I have to choose to have you die. And I don't think I can ever make that choice. Just like I know Troy won't be able to choose."

"I know but I would rather my babies live than have to live without them. Especially not after…" Sharpay says before realizing what she was about to reveal.

"Not after what sissy?"

"Not after having a miscarriage." Sharpay admits.

"When did you miscarry?"

"You remember our junior year and it was right after Christmas Break?"

"Yes."

"Will at first I thought that I was pregnant and it was just scare. So Troy and I took a home pregnancy test and it was negative. But I never even told him that I went and saw a doctor the next day just to be sure. Turns out I was pregnant but I had already miscarried the baby at the point when I took the test." Sharpay says crying a little bit. (Remember that pregnancy scare well it wasn't)

"Oh honey why didn't you tell us anything?"

"I didn't know how to tell you guys. I never even told Troy what had happened and after all these years he still believes that it was a scare."

"Are you sure that he doesn't know? I mean the doctor would've put you on a high risk pregnancy with Aroura. He would have figured out why that was considering you told your doctor this information."

"The doctor knows and yes it was a high risk pregnancy as is this pregnancy."

"Hon you know you have to tell him and you both have to choose what you both are going to do if for any reason something goes wrong."

"I know and I'm going to tell him tonight after everyone leaves."

"Good because my baby's godmother needs to be around to spoil him/her." Taylor says smiling.

"For real?"

"Yes, Chad and I choose you and Troy to be the godparents. Since we know and trust that you guys will take care of our child should anything happen to us both."

"Aww sissy, you're going to make me cry!"

"Tears of joy right?"

"Yes!" Sharpay says and both her and Taylor hug.

Both girls not realizing that Troy had heard everything as he was coming in to check on his wife and see when the cake was coming. Deep down Troy knew that something was wrong back in High School when Sharpay had taken the pregnancy test and said that it was negative. Wanting to make him that that it was just a scare when in reality it wasn't. He knew that something had happened to their first baby back then and he has been waiting for Sharpay to tell him. Troy has known all this time that his wife lied about the false negative pregnancy test. He also knows that Sharpay did that to protect him from the truth of the miscarriage but he always figured that she would tell him before anything serious would happen. Troy backs out and goes back outside where everyone else is and sees his mother in law holding his baby girl. He smiles and Aroura turns and sees her daddy smiling at her. She starts making a fuss as she wants her daddy to hold her. Derby seeing where her son in law was puts Aroura down and Aroura starts crawling towards her daddy. (She started crawling when she was 7 months old)

Troy bends down and picks her up, "Aww here's my princess!"

Aroura loving being in her father's arms lets out a squeal of happiness.

"Yes, my baby girl is daddy's princess!" Aroura started becoming more attached to Troy when she was three months old and has only wanted him almost as much as her mother. But mostly she only wants Troy holding her now for long periods of time.

Troy's dad Jack sees his son and granddaughter. He goes over to them both seeing how hard it was to get a hug or kiss from his angel earlier due to his wife and best friend.

"Aww yes my little angel is more happy to be with her daddy again I see." Jack says.

"Yeah, she started getting into the habit of just wanting me now these days."

"I bet."

"I love having her in my arms and holding her. I could hold her forever and never let her go."

"I remember that feeling with you."

"Really?"

"Yes, there were times when you were Aroura's age where you only wanted your mom or me. It was mostly your mother but you also would let me hold you."

"I always thought it was mom."

"Not always and even then I would still want to hold you. You were and still are my pride and joy."

"I know what you mean now that I have my princess here. There is nothing in this world I wouldn't do for her." Troy says not looking at his dad but at his daughter. "I don't know what I would ever do if something were to happen to her."

"You will never know as this angel is perfectly healthy and is a beauty just like her mommy."

"That she is dad. That she is." Troy agrees with his dad. While Aroura inherited his eye color everything else down to her blond hair to her attitude she has gotten from her mother.

"All I can say my son is good luck."

"Why?"

"Cause you are going to be needing a baseball bat to scare away those no good boys away from her as she gets older."

"Yeah and in all honesty I'm thinking about sending her to an all-girls only school where no boys are allowed."

"Have you told your wife this plan of yours?"

"No not yet."

"Yeah I can see her already telling you no and sending her to a school were boys are allowed in and you being there every single day just to scare them off."

"True."

After the conversation with his dad Troy sees that both Sharpay and Taylor have finally came out of the house with the cake. So he goes over to his wife leans over and gives her a kiss and holds his daughter. Everyone sings happy birthday and after the song is done Aroura being a little bit too close to the cake ends up head-butting the cake right in the middle. Causing everyone around to laugh as we all know ever baby will do that with cake.

After the party:

It's now the evening and everyone has left. Troy has just finish putting Aroura to bed and goes to his bedroom. He sees Sharpay sitting down on the edge of the bed waiting for him.

Sharpay looks up and sees her husband. She takes a deep breath and pats the side next to her.

"Troy I need to tell you something."

Troy goes over and sits down. He already knows what she is going to tell him as he had overheard her and Taylor hours ago.

"What do you need to tell me baby?"

"Will first of all it's great news and also not so great news."

Troy doesn't say anything but nods his head for Sharpay to continue.

"Two days I found out that we are going to be parents again."

"Really! That's great baby!"

"But when I went to the doctors she told me that we are having twins."

"Twins?!" he asks as he didn't really hear that part. He heard that she was pregnant again but didn't hear about the twins' part.

"Yes, we are having twins!"

"That's great news but why do I get the feeling that there is something else?"

"There is and I'm not sure how you are going to handle what I need to tell you."

"Baby, you know you can always tell me anything. I will love you no matter what you know that."

"I do but promise me that you won't say anything until after I'm done."

"I promise."

"While I was there the doctor saw that I have preeclampsia. This is a condition where if I were to bleed out during the pregnancy or giving birth then both I and the babies might not survive."

Troy doesn't say anything but just nods for her to continue on.

"Plus I also have to tell you something else as well. Something I should've told you a long time ago. Please don't hate me."

"Just tell me because I can never hate you."

"Remember how in junior year after our first time?"

Troy nods and that gives her the que to keep going.

"Then you know that pregnancy scare that we had as well?"

Again he just nods.

"Well when I told you that the pregnancy test was negative I lied. It was actually positive. I ended up going to the doctors the next day due to cramping a lot and the doctor told me that I had miscarried."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't know if it was a false positive test or not. I didn't want to get our hopes up."

"Baby, I get that but you still should've told me. No matter what and you know that you didn't have to go through this pain alone. I could've been there instead of watching you go through that pain for all this time."

"You knew?"

"Yes, I did know. Baby you forget that I know you as well as you know me. I know when you are lying to me or anyone. But I also know why you didn't want to say anything until after you knew. I still should've been there with you."

"I know and I guess I was just trying to protect you."

"I know baby. But no matter what we are in this together forever."

"I love you."

"I love you too." With that said Troy leans over and kisses his wife. Sharpay ends the kiss and puts her head on Troy's shoulder. Troy also puts his head down on top of Sharpay's head.

"Come on let's head to bed before little miss daddy's little princess wakes up." Sharpay says.

"Okay." Troy agrees.

As they head to bed and Sharpay falls to sleep for the night, but all Troy can do on the other hand is think. Thinking about what if his future with his wife, the love of his life is taken away from him. As well as what if he made the wrong choice of going back in time and changing the past but then on the other hand he doesn't regret the choice that he made because he wouldn't even have not only Sharpay in his life but his daughter as well. That thought alone makes him realize that he was very lucky to be given a second chance in life. After those thoughts were done he looks over to his right side and sees that Sharpay is still asleep he then leans over and kisses her forehead. Then he puts his arms around her and whispers, "I love you." and falls asleep.

Don't worry this isn't the last chapter. I'm thinking that next chapter will be the last one but let me know if you think I should do one more to end this story.
