Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Spider man. Enjoy the 800-word story. I don't own Spiderman, Sony, Marvel and a few others do.
Oscorp was a company with many vast projects and companies, many of which changed the very field of several different fields of work.
"Mr. Osborn, I must tell you that there's been significant changes around here." Norman Osborn heard as he shook his head.
"I know what the subject is doing. The same thing that he's been doing for several years." Norman responded, straightening his tie as he passed by.
The plain stark white corridor helped assure people there was nothing down here. Between this, the business with Fisk and Spider-Man putting him away? Now there was various projects that needed his attention. The portly scientist followed, Norman turning to address the balding man who seemed more focused on his clipboard then the issue at hand. It made him chuckle inwardly.
"Yes, but the last experiment changed him severely." The scientist stated, pausing to check his data. "There's been numerous possible issues with his biology. I don't even know what it could be, but it's fascinating and yet horrifying at the same time." The scientist added, blinking with sheer shock a moment later.
Norman looked at him with sheer interest. He was far more curious than this had ever made him. He was fascinated what would become of this experiment. Norman had taken to continuing to check upon this project every single week.
He slowly took the elevator downwards, tapping in a 12-digit long code. The well-lit corridor seemed to perfectly contrast with the uneasy nature that laid just below the surface of it.
"Show me." Norman said, busy thinking about HOW this could possibly be happening.
Could the treatment have worked? He didn't believe it so. The experiment hadn't borne fruit in providing research for his son. Still? If it had worked? Then it proved he could use it for future experiments, it just made him question how these changes had occurred.
The duo slowly stepped into the elevator as it hissed open. The small, 6-sided box seemed like a quarter on a string slowly being lowered into the sewers below. Norman crossed his arms, allowing the scientist to step into the elevator as it slowly, cautiously lowered into the depths of the laboratory around them.
"You're telling me the procedure that didn't cure him possibly mutated his body?" Norman asked as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Hmm, was the reaction delayed? Is it a major change or a slight deviation from the result I asked for?" Norman asked, his eyebrow raised as the elevator continued its slow descent.
The scientist was silent a few minutes, busy looking over his data to make sure not a single instance of information was correct. The low light of the cramped elevator made it hard to read. He turned to Norman.
"I'm unsure what it will be, but the changes seem major, sir." The scientist stated, clearing his throat as if he was unsure of the answer he wanted to give. "It is between both being within target parameters and being a mutation outside of and within itself." The scientist responded, clearly curious as to what it could mean.
"If the procedure did something, it could change everything." Norman said, tenting his fingers together as he did so. "And by 'changes? You don't mean that something similar to Spider-Man, yes?" Norman questioned to which he got a nod as he blinked.
He didn't want Harry to end up with powers like that, however? That was quite horrid to think about. He could still leverage this; it would help them when it came down to it. Norman just needed to wait, biding his time as he slowly dwelled on the possibilities.
Norman cleared his throat as the scientist nodded once more, unsure if the well-dressed CEO was hard of hearing. Norman watched the elevator slowly open, allowing the duo into the lab which was filled to the brim with dozens of beakers, test tubes, computers over every square inch of the massive lab. They walked across the room, both of them unfazed by every blinking piece of technology when it came down to it.
The lab was the size of a small apartment, but it was far higher tech than anything else.
He looked at a man sitting in a sealed chamber.
Author Notes
Phew. First chapter done! I got excited for this story since I finally got the game and started to play it. since I didn't want the OC to be a Spider-Man rip off? I decided to make more options. I'm allowing readers to choose his powers which will alter his backstory. Next chapter is in 2-10 months and will be 1200-4000 words or such and show his backstory and powers. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
P.S: The poll is open for powers. New ones will be added as they come. Next chapter writing starts in a month or so after the polls are answered.
