Sorry for starting to yet another Sonic story but I hope to do things different as well. For this one I want to do things a tad different but first criteria: as usual sorry and no offence intended at all to Amy fans but please don't expect to see her in this story as you would only be setting yourself up for disappointment. Not a fan personally and personal preference but also because while Amy from Sonic X had her moments; that incarnation especially I am not a fan of as well as some versions from other bits of Sonic games that I don't want to get into. As I have said before me someone who really doesn't really like Amy but doesn't want to insult her fans; me forcing myself to include her will not turn out a version of Amy that her fans will like. So yeah this will be kind of Sonic X based but will be taking on elements of different sources like comics and the movies.
Despite Sally being my favourite Sonic pairing; I won't give this a break as to not be repetitive so please don't expect to see her. I am mostly sure of using Blaze as I do like her and Sonic.
Plus since I think I ran that well dry; I won't be using Locke and Geoffrey St John (and no I refuse to relent on my stance on that irredeemable creepy jerk) as I think I have done in enough in using them as the villains that they are. Knuckles' dad would be a deceased character only shown in flashback at the most. Just to be fair: I was going to but decided against including my favourite IDW Sonic villain Starline.
On the other side of the universe; there is a planet filled with islands filled with brightly coloured animals. Along with them lived the brightly coloured talking bipedal animals that were the dominant species on the world; known as Mobians for this world was known as Mobius and things were mostly peaceful.
However years ago Mobius got the first strike from the robotic army of the Eggman Empire; led by the mad ego driven pure evil being known only as Dr Robotnik who seeked nothing less than using his creations to conquer the entire of Mobius. Several bases he had set up with factories manufacturing the robotic brightly coloured drones that were mostly ground based with wheels driving them and the flying drones which were all fitted with lasers.
However there was one young heroic figure that from the beginning of when this evil genius first attacked; the world famous hero known as Sonic the Hedgehog.
High above the clouds was the climax of the latest chapter in this years spanning war of good V evil.
A giant evil looking high tech air carrier marked by the dark red smirking face that served as the logo of the Eggman Empire; the Egg Carrier and catching up with it in the air was the red plane that belonged to Sonic himself and he was on the wing of the plane. Sonic himself was a smirking cocky looking 14 year old blue furred hedgehog Mobian wearing gloves and sneakers as he was crouching down on the wing of the plane.
"You sure know what you are doing Sonic?" asked a young 8 year old yellow furred fox Mobian wearing goggles and had 2 tails; Tails was none other than Sonic's best friend who was extremely gifted in engineering and inventing as well as serving as the Tornado's pilot.
"Same as what I do every time Tails; I go in and kick robotic butt while Robotnik makes some grand speech before everything goes up in flames for him..." Sonic then replied with a confident smirk but Tails looked scared. Sonic then went up to him in the pilot's seat and then put a hand on his shoulder with his face becoming a more genuine smile. "Don't worry Tails... Everything will be alright... Just stick to the plan and everything will be fine as they always do..." Sonic told him and Tails nodded looking more assured.
Tails then had the Tornado dodge blasts from the Egg Carrier as it then shot lasers of it's own and got a hole through it and Sonic then jumped through as Tails then activated the Tornado's autopilot as he then took out a portable computer device of his known as the Miles Electric.
Sonic was met with a hallway of Badniks which were being sucked through the hole as he then used his speed to run through the Egg Carrier faster than the air coudl pull him in. He came across more Badniks as he dodged their blasts and launched himself at them with super speed; including rolling himself up into a ball to launch at them in an attack known as the Spin Dash.
Soon he came to the main control area where up in his pilot's seat was none other than Dr Robotnik himself smirking with his fingers together in a calculating way. He was much larger than most Mobians and was in fact a lean human and the only human on Mobius to be exact. His sinister eyes covered by his signature goggles, his head bald but had a long thick moustache, he was wearing black gloves and a gauntlet device to help him control his inventions and he was wearing a dark red high collared cloak with lines of black.
"Sonic; the thorn in my side, the itch that I could never scratch, the boil on my face that just ruins an otherwise perfect look... Ready for your defeat at last my arch foe?" Robotnik cackled upon noticing him as Sonic looked nonplussed.
"Ready to punch another box off your 'evil scheme foiled by a handsome and brave hero' loyalty card? I believe after this then you are entitled to a free slushy drink!" Sonic then retorted back with a smirk as Robotnik shook his head.
"I prefer my drinks steaming hot with milk but behold the instrument off your destruction..." Robotnik then retorted as he then showed a console showing off behind protective glass while they were connected to the power of the Egg Carrier; 7 brightly coloured glowing emerald diamonds known as the Chaos Emeralds while from the giant window to the outside, Sonic could see a giant laser attachment reveal itself from the bottom of the Egg Carrier while the laser cannons were powering up while the Chaos Emeralds were glowing brighter and brighter from the Egg Carrier drawing more and more power into them. "The 7 Chaos Emeralds powering my Egg Carrier and I shall send a signal to have the power directed to my factories building an army of Badniks all powered by the 7 combined might of the Emeralds! They shall seek out and destroy and once fully powered; the cannon of the Egg Carrier shall decimate entire civilisations on Mobius within the hour and the remains will be forced to concede defeat... The Eggman Empire shall rule over all of Mobius and I shall turn it into a technological utopia!" Robotnik taunted but Sonic then made the yawning motion.
"...And I shall have a front row seat to your ultimate victory and my final defeat... Yada Yada... Are you tired of this same old song and dance Robotnik? You make some big plan and so sure of your inevitable victory as you line up your scheme but I knock it down... I am Robotnik; I surely cannot lose now... Curses; I have still lost and I shall do what I always do; escape while crying about my humiliating defeat while the handsome blue hero rests upon having saved the day again... Sonic then taunted using his hand to parrot his impersonation of Robotnik while his face was growing red with anger.
"I won't miss your stupid 'wit' one bit when you are defeated killed hedgehog..." Robotnik snarled but then there was a red alert going off and he then checked his gauntlet in shock and horror. "What is happening?" Robotnik then demanded in panic.
"That is the sound of my best friend Tails who despite his young age; is still smarter than you and used the time I gave him by distracting you to hack into your systems and install a virus that will also shut down the entire systems! Helps to have actual friends that have your back and not just mindless robotic slaves Robotnik..." Sonic then gloated and he saw the containment unit for the Chaos Emeralds were short circuiting. He then took a step back and launched himself at a Spin Dash to free the Chaos Emeralds and free them.
"What? No hedgehog; you don't know what will happen... The energy that you emit against the Emeralds like this with my device short circuiting..." Robotnik then snapped but was too late as a surge was sent out.
Sonic ended up being zapped along with the Egg Carrier and outside Tails then felt as the tornado was zapped as well as certain area on Mobius with the Chaos energy...
Sonic groaned as he got up and found his vision while finding his quills blowing bright which he has had happen to him before; but they were glowing bright blue instead of golden to his confusion. "What happened... Where are the Chaos Emeralds..." Sonic asked himself as he got up but found himself not in the Egg Carrier as before but someplace different.
It was in the night and he was on the road of some street surrounded by a crowd of humans looking at him as confused and shocked as he was; he didn't think that more people like Robotnik existed He managed to get a look at the tall buildings surrounding him and he was confused as the humans muttered while some got their phones out to take pictures or video.
"Something tells me that I'm not on Mobius anymore..." Sonic muttered.
The US Pentagon and an emergency meeting was called with in a debriefing room; there was the top US military officials already there waiting for the Commander in Chief to arrive. At the door was 2 guards and one was singing to himself quietly "When I saw 'Love Me' you say 'Sexy'..." He then got looks from the other and he then whispered "What are you looking at? Semi-Pro is an underappreciated classic..."
"Really... A stupid Will Ferrell basketball movie that just barely anyone remembers... If you want a real classic underappreciated comedy then there's Ready to Rumble which gets too much hate; all because to promote it they gave Dewey from Scream the world title... But he actually trained and did well in the indies... Check out You Cannot Kill David Arquette..." scoffed the other guard and then opened up the door was none other than the US President with his security detail that caused them to quieten down.
"So can anyone tell me what has happened?" the President then asked as he sat down; a tall intimidating figure with a bald head and a demeanour that commanded respect along with his eyebrow.
"Sir... Within 20 minutes there has been a report of several energy surges across the country. We are quite certain that they weren't caused by a domestic weapon but we are not ruling out EMPs. We have sent out teams to investigate." said one of the Joint Chiefs as another had an assistant show something on their phone.
"Mr President; fellow members of this very important gathering... One of the energy surges was found to have happened just minutes ago in San Francisco... There is a trending story and well... Better see for yourself..." said one of them as the guard then showed them the phone footage taken of Sonic having landed in San Francisco.
"If this is your idea of playing a joke then I don't find it amusing; this is not the time to be playing games..." said the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as most were displeased at what seemed to be a waste of their time. However the US Secretary of Defence was different as he was reacting in horror and panic with his eyes widening.
"It can't be... It was locked up in that black site and I would have known if it had escaped..." thought the Secretary of Defence in his head. He then coughed and said "with all respect gathered officials... If this was as recent as the energy surges then it may bare investigating quickly and quietly... With your permission Mr President Sir; I want to send GUN on the case to investigate these surges and take care of anything that may have caused them..." the Secretary then said to raised eyebrows for the Guardian Unit of the Nation was a special military task force set up to take care of delicate and dangerous situations; terrifying rumours clouded this group that the public knew little about.
"A speedy reaction call to all of this and to take care of it before anyone can get hurt may be what is needed; see that it is carried out..." The President told him and the Secretary nodded before leaving with a dark look on his face.
Please tell me what you think in the reviews. Plus I was being intentionally vague on Robotnik's history on Mobius as well as Sonic's origins but that is something to be explained later down the line in the story.
