Pokemon School (Day)

Kukui was eager for Dominic to come to the school. He didn't know what he wanted to talk to Nanu about, or why exactly he couldn't return home, but in the end, it didn't matter. The boy needed someone to take care of him, and he already made himself at home in Kukui's house. So, it was only natural that the Professor enroll him in Pokemon School.

"Everyone, I'd like to welcome a new student!" he said to his class.

Dominic entered the room, surprised to see the faces of people he met during his initial journey through Alola. "Hello. I'm Dominic. I hope we can be friends." he introduced.

"Dominic is from the Kalos Region, so please treat him with kindness during his stay in Alola." Kukui said. Dominic didn't say much about his home, but he did let slip that he came from Kalos. "Does anyone have any questions?"

"Is that a Z-Ring on your wrist?" Kiawe asked the blonde. Until now, he was the only student at the Pokemon School with the ability to use Z-Moves.

"Yep, this baby was given to me by none other than Ula'ula's Kahuna. It's helped more times than I can count." Dominic explained, looking at the Mimikium Z inside the ring.

"Would you care for a battle?" Kiawe asked, holding up his arm. The Firium Z he possessed gleamed brightly in the sunlight.

"Can we?" Dominic asked his new teacher.

"Of course! It'd be the perfect way for you two to get to know eachother!" Kukui said.

Schoolyard (Day)

Dominic and Kiawe stood opposite eachother, Poke Balls in hand. The rest of their classmates watched on the sidelines, wondering what kind of Pokemon Dominic had.

"Come out, Turtonator!" Kiawe shouted, throwing his Poke Ball into the battlefield, releasing his partner.

'So, this Kiawe has a Turtonator.' Dominic thought to himself. "Mimikyu, it's your time to shine!" He threw out a Dusk Ball, releasing the Disguise Pokemon.

"Mimikyu? It looks kind of like Pikachu." Lana said, noticing how similar the two species appeared.

"I think its Type is Ghost and Fairy." Lillie said, recalling a book she once read about Mimikyu. "Apparently, it wears a Pikachu costume so it can get closer to people and other Pokemon."

"I wonder what it's hiding." Sophocles said, curious.

"Trust me, that's not a good idea." Dominic said before his attention returned to the battle. "Now, use Play Rough!" Mimikyu sped toward Turtonator, ready to strike.

"Use Shell Trap!" Kiawe commanded. Turtonator turned its back to Mimikyu, causing the small Pokemon to slam into its shell. The impact caused the shell to detonate, sending Mimikyu flying back to its Trainer. But to everyone's surprise, Mimikyu looked completely unharmed. At least, until its neck broke. "What in the world?" Kiawe said, confused.

"That's Disguise, Mimikyu's Ability. The rag it wears can protect it from any attack once per battle." Dominic explained. "Now that the Disguise is broken, Mimikyu is vulnerable. But don't think we'll make it easy to win. Wood Hammer!" Mimikyu's tail started glowing green before the Ghost/Fairy Type once again ran toward its opponent. Once it was close enough, it whacked Turtonator in the face, dealing damage to both Pokemon. "Follow up with X-Scissor!" Mimikyu let its claws out from under its cloak and slashed at Turtonator.

"Mimikyu sure is strong. I didn't expect it to hold its own against Turtonator." Mallow said.

"Flamethrower!" Kiawe shouted. From its snout, Turtonator expelled a stream of fire, engulfing Mimikyu before the Disguise Pokemon ran out of the flames.

"Impressive." Dominic said, smiling. "Not many people can push us this far in just two moves. As a matter of fact, only one other Trainer has shown me this kind of strength." Memories of a Mega Blastoise echoed in Dominic's head as he said this. "I hope you can keep this up."

"Don't worry, I have a feeling you'll like this." Kiawe responded, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "The zenith of my mind, of body, of spirit! Like the great mountain of Akala! Become a raging fire and burn!" Z-Power surged from Kiawe's body and into his partner. "Inferno Overdrive!" From its snout, Turtonator unleashed a massive fireball that was sent hurtling straight at Mimikyu.

"Hoo, boy." Dominic said, watching as the Z-Move struck his Pokemon. "That is one impressive Inferno Overdrive." After the attack subsided, Mimikyu was still standing, even though its rag was covered in soot. After a pat-down from its Trainer, it was almost good as new, save for the broken neck.

"Incredible. It's still standing even after a Z-Move." Kiawe said, astonished.

"Now, why don't we show them OUR Z-Move?" Dominic asked Mimikyu, who happily responded with a series of chitters. The blonde crossed his arms in front of his chest, causing his Z-Power Ring to start glowing. "Can you hear it? The blazing fire deep in your soul? Now is the time to let that fire out!" Z-Power poured from Dominic and to Mimikyu. "Show the audience what you're made of! Let's Snuggle Forever!" Its eyes sparkling, Mimikyu ran in a zig-zag motion toward Turtonator. Then, shocking everyone, Mimikyu jumped high into the air and pulled its opponent into its costume. Then, it proceeded to repeatedly punch Turtonator from all sides.

"What the heck!?" Sophocles shouted. "I've never seen a Z-Move like that before!"

"That's 'cause Let's Snuggle Forever is a Z-Move that only Mimikyu can use." Dominic said, proud. "And the Z-Crystal that lets us use it, Mimikium Z, was given to us by a Totem Mimikyu." After a few more seconds, Mimikyu released Turtonator, who had passed out from the attack. Mimikyu went back to its Trainer, and the two high-fived in victorious celebration. Holding his partner in his arms, Dominic walked over to Kiawe. He reached into his hoodie and got out an Oran Berry. "Here, this should restore Turtonator's strength."

"Thanks." the Fire-Type Trainer said. "Thanks for the battle. That Z-Move was something else."

"You're welcome. You and Turtonator worked very well together. The Inferno Overdrive you two used was proof of that." Dominic said. "Truth be told, if you landed a single attack after that Z-Move, you would've won. Mimikyu had almost no energy left."

"And it still pulled off Let's Snuggle Forever?" Kiawe said. For a Pokemon to use a Z-Move like that with no energy was nothing short of a miracle.

Unbeknownst to everyone, a glowing pair of eyes watched from above, curious about Dominic.
