Okay, this is just me playing around and thinking of several possible 'What if's'. The first one is that by the time Kai woke up and got herself together after she became the silver monkey, the rest of the monkey team had already left to stop the Dark One.

And the second one is that the silver monkey had a human form program.

Now, if this plot bunny is fruitful, then, there might be more than one entry...

Enjoy.

The last thing that she remembered was green light.

And then, a lot of pain.

Kai groaned and she rolled over, wincing as she felt one of her arms get trapped underneath her body...

Wait... what?!

An arm... But she didn't have a body anymore, right?

She untangled the arm out from underneath her and she tried to get to her feet. "Where am I?" She whispered. "This isn't the Pit, it looks more like a lab..."

She stared at the various different machines and controls spread across the lab, it felt familiar.

Like she had seen it in a dream...

"Oh!" She remembered now, where she had seen this place before. "In that dream, the one that we shared, the one where we learned that the Skeleton King had created the monkeys, when he was an Alchemist."

It was a mess too.

Like a fight had happened here, as well as being abandoned for a long time.

How long had she been here?

Kai brushed some of her bangs out of her eyes, she was so confused. She should be dead, right? Then, how was she alive?

She looked at her hands, frowning when she realised that her clothes had been changed. She didn't remember owning a baggy silver dress like the one that she was wearing or the boots that she was wearing, she did have a few pairs of leggings but apart from that, she had never seen these clothes before.

Something was not right about this...

She could feel something building up in her head, a headache?

Kai rubbed her forehead, and she started to look around.

LIke she had noticed before, this place was a wreck, but what had happened here? She didn't know...

"I have to get out of here."

And so, she started to make her way out of the wrecked lab, never seeing the metal that poked out of her hair were her ears should be, or the tail that followed her every move, swishing back and forth, leaving a trail behind her.

How could she have known that? After all, there was no mirrors here, and she wouldn't see one for a very long time.

She was unaware of what had happened to her... And what she was now...

Did she even know what had been done to save her?
