Honestly, I didn't know if I was going to be able to finish this on the exact day of the anniversary.
But here we are! Enjoy the first actual react chapter, and let me know how I can improve as I have never attempted this style of fic before.
Anyway, small legend for you all:

Chapter 2
"Chapter 1: Hear, Feel, Think"
"It's not bad to have a dream, young man. Just make sure that your dreams are attainable, realistic, understood?" spoke the 'deflated' number one pro hero All-Might, looking back towards the green-haired boy who had asked him if he could be a hero despite being quirkless.
Well, Grim did say that a lot would be revealed in this 'alternative world'... Izuku just wished it didn't start in the worst possible way to do so, as he could feel the eyes of his classmates all staring hard at him.
"D-Deku…?" Ochako had spoken softly as her brown eyes flitted between what she was seeing on screen and the person sitting beside her. A few of the others were muttering around him, asking why All Might, of all people, was telling one of the powerhouses in their class to "keep his dreams attainable".
And what was that about being Quirkless?
Izuku only kept staring at his friend for a few moments before quickly turning towards where the adults were sitting, eyes going wide from seeing the former Number One being glared hard at by his homeroom teacher and also from Nezu of all people, all the while Toshinori was sweating bullets from the attention as Izuku turned back around to continue watching, ignoring the fierce glare from Bakugo, who was still currently in the plexiglass container.
While Toshinori Yagi, aka All Might, had felt for the kid, he truly did, but being a hero meant you had to deal with villains that often would be just as or even stronger than the hero… being quirkless left one at an extreme disadvantage. He was merely trying to keep the boy safe. He even offered other alternatives, like being a police officer like his best friend and ally, Naomasa Tsukauchi.
He shut the door behind him and reached for the bottle in his pocket, "Well, let's get you to the-" he stopped, feeling around the now empty pocket and even checked the other one before staring out the window from inside of the stairwell and seeing a plume of smoke rise over the cityscape, "Oh no…"
"I mean… it's not unreasonable to think like that." Tenya said with his arms crossed, "Considering how quirks get more powerful every generation, I am confused as to what you asked All Might, Midoriya." The class president continued while looking at one of his best friends, who remained quiet and fidgety. It wasn't only Iida who was staring at the green-haired boy but most, if not all, of his classmates with a look of confusion and curiosity.
Izuku remained silent, still fidgeting, and was beginning to look paler and scared as he soon felt the warm comfort of someone's hand on his own; looking towards the person in question, Izuku's face gained back some color when he saw that it was Ochako, smiling gently at him, "If you don't want to say it, Deku… you don't need, we understand."
"Agreed," Todoroki had said from the seat behind Midoriya, his hand on his friend's shoulder, "We all have our hidden burdens, and the only time to talk about it is when we feel comfortable to speak about it… There is no rush, Midoriya."
A gentle ribbit from his other side and the touch of an enlarged hand on his other arm caught his attention as he looked at Tsuyu, who simply nodded, wishing not to say anything just in case her usual 'bluntness' would be too much. From behind her, Izuku could see the slight smile of Tenya and a gentle nod, causing Izuku to finally relax as the reminder from Grim earlier on about how some care about him, and not just his little close-knit group of friends, but he could see the others of his class give him nods or other ways to say they were with him.
"T-Thanks everyone…" Izuku soon muttered, "I-If it's ok, I can tell you after… though I have a feeling it may come up as we watch this."
As the class began to settle down a little more, Toshinori smiled as he watched his successor and his group of friends. To know that he had his peers to assist him further really made the man's heart feel at ease, though he could still feel the glare of Aizawa from his peripheral view, "Isn't it good to see such comradery, Aizawa?"
"It's not surprising, given what they have all been through this year, but don't think you can just change the subject, Yagi… This alternative you just left a person up on a rooftop and is clearly in duress… and judging by the Problem Child's reaction to seeing this-"
"Oh, it totally happened the same way." Grim spoke from his seat, catching the attention of the teachers and principal as he took a sip out of a cup that had just suddenly appeared in the hand of the weaver, the metal straw end disappearing into the darkness of the hood, "Thankfully, your Midoriya wasn't as 'broken' as that one on screen as you'll soon see."
Grim looked towards the former number one, for which the glare coming from underneath the hood could be felt heavily at Toshinori, "I'm not going to start to criticize you on how you should act, All Might; you have been doing this for what? Thirty years? So you should have known better, even if your 'secret' was revealed to one of your fans. Just be glad the class is focusing on Izuku's well-being right now instead of demanding answers for your actions."
Toshinori looked down to the ground, a heavy sigh escaping his lips as he began to contemplate how he should make this up to his successor. While both he and Midoriya had reconciled over the issue, the boy had forgiven his mentor for what transpired that day on the rooftop. But in All Might's mind, it wasn't enough.
It would never be enough.
The scene started once more, and while putting his drink down into a cupholder on the armrest of his seat, Grim had crossed his arms, knowing that what was about to transpire would be hard for anyone to see.
Meanwhile, as All Might had shut the rooftop door, Izuku Midoriya's semi-calm face slowly began to tear up. He hiccuped before he fell to his knees and broke down; the tears coming down his cheeks burned him as he clenched his eyes and sobbed.
The memories of the years of negativity and neglect flooded his mind as if to further bombard him into the cement of the rooftop. How he suffered for the last fourteen years at the hands of his friend- no, former friend Katsuki Bakugo. The dulled pain of the most recent burn marks on his shoulder reminded him of what had happened before being attacked by the sludge villain.
"I... I guess you were right, Kaachan…" Izuku spoke softly as he clenched his hand into a fist, "I really am a Deku…" slowly rising up to his feet, the tears still streaming down his cheeks, which were now puffy.
"All it had to take for me to realize that you were right was to have All Might tell me the same thing… Who was I kidding? I already knew…" he huffed as he turned slowly towards the rooftop edge, "... I was just a hopeless dreamer too stubborn to realize how useless I am."
The memories that flashed before everyone's eyes made them pause, even the pro heroes sitting in the audience to see not only one of the 'top' students of their hero course act with such brutality towards another one of their students prior to coming to UA but the fact that if events were similar to their own world, then it would also mean that their Bakugo and Midoriya also had a very troubled history as well. A dark aura seemed to be radiating from the principal as he had always suspected something was wrong between the two student files from Aldera, and while he couldn't exactly prove it, Nezu would be sure to rectify that and do what he could to make sure the proper corrections were put in place.
Aizawa was gritting his teeth from under his scarf, clearly missing how truly messed up the relationship between the two problem children was and thinking it was a mere rivalry that they would need to work on. If he had read the damn school profiles at the beginning of the year instead of near the training camp, he would have realized how full of shit they both were earlier and taken measures to not escalate it to the point it had gotten to. Looking towards the skeleton of a teacher and pro hero beside him, Aizawa could see the unbridled fury beginning to build up within the man, clutching the armrest so hard Aizawa would swear he was hearing it crack under the man's raw strength, despite not being 'buffed up'.
His tired expression soon turned towards his students, many of them either showing just as much rage and disgust to the scenes before them, while many of the more emotional ones were doing their best holding back sobs and tears, watching the typically brightest student in their course contemplating something horrific. He looked towards Midoriya's direction, seeing the boy had placed his hand on his shoulder almost instinctively when it was shown how that other Bakugo had hurt his counterpart, even wincing slightly as if he understood that pain…
Yea, he was a complete dumbass for not seeing this sooner.
Aizawa then turned his attention towards the blonde, who was looking a little shocked to see what the other Midoriya was going to attempt to do, currently shaking his head and starting to shout, though muted because of the 'box' he was placed in. to the side of the container was Kirishima, staring dumbfounded at the raging blonde at what he had done in the past, something the ever-tired teacher was going to need to keep an eye on.
Slowly, the teenager began to walk towards the edge, looking down to the ground. He felt scared but also very tired… tired of the bullying, tired of hiding his injuries from his mother and worrying her… he knew this was the "coward's way out", but when most, if not the entire world, doesn't care if you exist or not… then why should he?
"No… no no… don't do it, Midori!" Mina had cried out, tears streaking down her cheeks as she quickly looked towards the Midoriya sitting in the row in front of her, who had turned his gaze from the screen to look back into her black sclera eyes, "Please, Midori! Please tell me you never thought -"
"N-No! No, I didn't!" Izuku suddenly shouted, "I-it would upset my mom too much if I did so!" He continued, getting a little overwhelmed by everyone freaking out around him, "E-even when All Might had told me I couldn't be a hero, I still never took Kaachan's advice-OOP!"
Suddenly, flinging his hands over his mouth, the movie paused, and dead silence filled the theater as everyone stopped from after what they just heard. They all remained frozen in place as Izuku worriedly looked left and right before picking up the cold but monotone voice coming from the current number one's son behind his seat.
"Midoriya… What 'advice' did Bakugo give you?" Shoto Todoroki had asked with a relatively stern look on his face, one Izuku hadn't seen before as he looked around to see the rest of his classmates beginning to have the very same look. The green-haired boy then looked to his teachers to see they were also looking stunned still but slowly beginning to dawn the same facial expression.
He then looked towards Grim, who was simply relaxing in his chair with his hands on his stomach, "You might as well tell them; it will come up later, and you might as well rip the band-aid off now."
Izuku slowly moved to sit in his chair again, his hands resting on his knees as his crooked fingers gripped his clothing, staring down at the ground, "H… His advice… was to take a swan dive off of the school roof and pray I got a quirk in the next life."
The silence continued, but the air got far colder than anything Izuku had ever felt before, and this was coming from all the times he had sparred with Todoroki; he looked up to see the absolute rage now littered across his friends faces, some of them slowly beginning to look towards their intended target, "G-Guys! Please don-"
"Alright, that's enough for now!" Grim shouted, appearing suddenly in front of the box to block out everyone's view of the boy, who seemed to be somewhat fearful at the way everyone was looking at him, though he could still see the absolute disgusted look on Kirishima's face from what Midoriya had revealed.
Honestly, he was thankful for being where he was now.
"Before anyone gets ANY ideas on what sort of punishment you wish to dole out on the pomeranian behind me, let me remind you that had this little 'screening' never happened, NONE of you would have known about the past between these two.." Grim had crossed his arms then, "So, while I do understand your complete and utter outrage… We got a lot more to watch before the first break… and this is where things do get better."
The silence continued for a few moments, the tension in the air still thick with malice, before everyone started to go back to their seats. Grim sighed heavily under his hood as he turned around to see that Bakugo was now alone; Kirishima had moved to sit with the other boys while Bakugo had tried to get his attention, but to no avail.
Grim then turned his gaze to Bakugo, his voice low enough for only the blonde to hear him as the robed figure could feel the red irises of the teenager on him, "Be lucky Izuku never told anyone about your advice before, you little asshole… just because you were in middle school, doesn't give you a free pass to say shit like that in the first place… normally you would know right from wrong even before you started middle school… but then, sometimes people are just born villains…"
With nothing more to say, he walked back towards where the teachers were, who were frowning hard in Bakugo's direction as the explosive teen merely began to stare down at the ground, looking more frightened than he had ever before.
Once everyone settled down again, Mina sat beside Tsuyu in the same row up front where Izuku and the rest were. It seemed that everyone had wanted to be closer to the green-haired boy in a protective sort of way, further away from where Bakugo was, who was still lost in his own mind as the screen began to play once more.
Izuku slowly leaned back and was about to take a step forward when his head started to hurt slightly, grunting out in pain as a single word echoed deep within his mind.
'Hear...'
Izuku gasped loudly as the pain faded; he blinked and realized he had stepped a few feet back from the edge of the rooftop. The voice that spoke within his mind had confused him slightly; it felt almost motherly in a sense and had left his body feeling warm once the pain had faded. His thoughts about what just happened were interrupted as he heard an explosion go off in the distance and saw the plume of smoke. Izuku blinked for a few moments but then took off running to the rooftop door, his body feeling drawn towards the chaos.
"What was that?" asked Sero, frowning as he, Kaminari, and Mineta looked confused as the blonde sparkster looked towards Jiro.
"I dunno. Did you hear that voice too, Jiro?"
"Of course I did, Jamming Whey…" The punk rocker was twirling one of her ear jacks around her finger as she turned her sights towards Midoriya, "Hey, Green, do you recognize that voice?"
"N-No, I don't; I wonder why it just popped into my mind and that it caused me pain…" Izuku, now a little more relaxed with the rest of his friends around him, rubbed his chin gently, "It wasn't my mom either… just who was it?"
"Maybe that's your quirk, kero?" Tsuyu had placed a finger on her chin, "But then why were you being drawn towards the explosion though?"
"It's possible… but I don't know why it would pull me towards that, honestly." Izuku smiled gently and chuckled, knowing full well that in their world, he had instinctively wandered towards that fight because of his analysis hobby. But, not wishing to cause his friends any more worry over him, Izuku decided not to say anything.
It didn't take long for Izuku to make it to the chaotic scene before him. He could see a group of pro heroes trying to do damage control. Mt. Lady was currently in her giant form and trying to figure out a way to maneuver through to get to the villain. Death Arms struggled to get even close to the villain, shouting about how he had taken a hostage.
Backdraft was using his water hose quirk to help keep the fires from spreading to other buildings because of the explosions caused by the hostage trying to escape. Meanwhile, Kamui Woods used his wooden limbs to keep two other teenage boys from the fire. Izuku's eyes widened when he recognized the two as Bakugo's 'lackeys' and turned his head towards the sludge villain once again.
"Wait! Isn't this the Sludge Villain incident that happened a year before school started?" Tokoyami blinked as he looked toward Izuku, "It was publicized that Bakugo had been the victim that was eventually saved by All Might, but to think of the coincidence that you would be there too, Midoriya."
Izuku chuckled lightly, scratching his cheek now, "Y-yea… such a strange coincidence."
"Including that one guy that wasn't named that had rushed in before All Might arrived on the scene; you must have gotten a good look at them, didn't you, Midoriya?" asked Sato, his arms crossed over his chest as he continued to watch the screen, failing to notice that Izuku jolted and was blushing.
"Y-you could say that…"
As the teachers continued to listen to their students off in silence, Aizawa's ever-tired eyes slowly began to widen before placing his face in his hands and groaning low, catching Toshinori's attention, "Oh my god, he was running into danger even before he started UA?"
The blonde skeletal man gave a soft chuckle, remembering how Midoriya's quick thinking back then had inspired him to go past his limit to save both of the boys from the sludge villain, though he was curious how that Midoriya was going to do the same.
'How did he escape All Might?!' the green-haired boy shouted internally before it dawned on him. When he had grabbed onto his leg just as All Might jumped, the bottle must have fallen out!
"Midoriya, you didn't…?" Iida had asked as Izuku covered his face in his hands, quickly looking towards All Might, who merely nodded with a big, almost shit-eating grin."
"He did!"
"Wait, why was the villain in that bottle?" Mina asked as he looked between Izuku and All Might, as the latter continued to smirk.
"Prior to being in that bottle, I happened to come across the villain attacking Midoriya and saving him! But before he realized his mistake, he watched all the students quickly look at Midoriya and shout at once, causing Izuku to groan in embarrassment once more.
"YOU WERE ATTACKED TOO?!"
...This was his fault…
Izuku's thoughts began to grow in despair once again as he watched the scene before him.
'Why are the heroes not doing anything?'
'This is my fault!'
'Someone save him!'
'I'm so pathetic!'
"Young Midoriya, you are NOT pathetic, nor are you at fault!" All Might had called out to get the boy's attention, "I was the Pro Hero there and should have properly secured the villain in something stronger than a pop bottle and carried the thing in my hands to prevent it from falling." The older man continued to smile at his successor, "Never forget that, alright?"
"Y-Yes, sir!" Izuku said with a small smile, a bright one that caused Dark Shadow to hide back into the safe confines of Tokoyami's cloak.
The green-haired boy's thoughts were knocked out of him as the sludge villain roared loudly and laughed.
"HAHAHAHA! GIVE IT UP, KID! WITH YOUR QUIRK, I CAN DEFEAT ALL MIGHT!" shouted the sludge villain, 'aiming' a few more explosions at the buildings as well as in the general area of the watching public. Katsuki Bakugo roared back as he kept using his explosive quirk to try and free himself.
"GET THE FUCK OFF ME AND CRAWL BACK INTO THE SEWER WHERE YOU BELONG!"
"Yea… while I am utterly disgusted with him right now… I do feel kinda bad… I dunno how I'd be able to get out of that situation." Sero huffed and leaned back in his chair. Many of the others murmured in agreement.
"But to defeat All Might? HA!" Mineta snidely exclaimed, "We watched how All Might tanked all his explosions during the final exam, and that was AFTER coming to UA and all the training we did."
"You got spunk, kid! It will be great once I take over your body!" the putrid being chuckled darkly as his sludge began to pour more over the trapped blonde. Izuku watched from the sidelines, eyes wide and soon catching a glimpse of his bully's scared and pleading look. The warm feeling from before pulsed over Izuku's body. A single word echoed out as time was slowing down.
'Feel...'
Everyone grew quiet then as they all looked towards Izuku, who was fidgeting slightly and looking elsewhere, even whistling nonchalantly.
"De-Midoriya…" Ochako gasped, nearly biting her tongue from calling him by that 'word' as her hands rested on his arm, "You didn't…"
"YOU IDIOT! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" shouted Death Arms as he saw the green-haired teenager run past him straight towards the villain. Izuku was just as confused as the pro hero.
"He did." Grim snickered as the crowd around Midoriya erupted into chaos in worry for the clearly crazy stunt he had pulled and for them to JUST find out about it.
'WHY am I running? What am I going to do? I have no way of taking out the sludge villain; I'm quirkless! A stupid, useless Deku that liked to write in- That's it!' thought Izuku as he pulled off his high school backpack and lobbed it towards the face of the slimy being before him. A pencil case slipped out and nailed the villain in the eye, causing it to cry out in agony and loosen his grip on the trapped boy.
Katsuki took a deep breath as he watched Izuku climb up the sludge and begin to try to claw and dig him out, "What the fuck are you doing here, Deku?!" screamed the bomber blonde as he continued to struggle. However, he stopped when he looked at his 'victim' trying to help him.
"I don't know! I just ran without thinking!" Izuku shouted back as the warmth enveloped his body again, the voice speaking to him like a soft whisper.
'Think…'
Izuku blinked and shook his head slightly before giving Bakugo a teary-eyed and wobbly smile, "I-I just couldn't let you die, Kaachan."
"MIDORI-BRO! THAT WAS SO MANLY!" Kirishima suddenly shouted, finally being aroused from his anger towards Bakugo and unable to hold back his excitement anymore to see how badass Midoriya was on the screen and, by extension, their Midoriya for pulling the same stunt.
"It is totally reckless!" Iida had chopped the air, "While you did it to save someone, I cannot condone rushing past a police line, Midoriya!"
"T-they weren't doing anything though!" Izuku defended himself, "They were just standing around and 'waiting' for the right person with the right quirk to solve the issue; I-I couldn't just do nothing!"
"Be that as it may…" Aizawa suddenly spoke up, getting everyone's attention, "Pro heroes are trained to handle situations like this; while I agree they shouldn't have been standing around doing nothing, as a civilian, you had no right to rush out there and compromise the situation and possibly have yourself become a secondary hostage or worse, a casualty."
"However, take it as a learning experience, Mr. Midoriya." Nezu had spoken up, standing from his seat so the class could see him, "While we cannot officially recognize your efforts… unofficially though, excellent work." The chimera smiled and gave the young student a thumbs up, nearly making Iida flabbergasted that the principal, of all people, was content with what had happened. Before anyone else could offer their opinions, however, a darker tone soon came off of the screen that caught everyone's attention once more.
"Touching…" a dark voice drew the attention of the two boys before Izuku was knocked a few feet away, grunting as his back hit the pavement and staring up at the sludge villain, who seemed to be growing larger.
"But I have a new toy now; YOU ARE NO LONGER WANTED!" it screamed, raising its thick arm up and beginning to bring it down.
"He's going to kill him!" shouted one of the pro heroes as they ran forward to save the idiot. Izuku raised his hands up and clenched his eyes, waiting for the inevitable.
The 'inevitable' didn't happen.
Nothing had happened.
Izuku slowly began to open his eyes, moving his arms away as he didn't feel the pain of the incoming attack, and the area around him was silent. Blinking as if the acne before him was right, he looked around as he would take in the vast emptiness of space around him. He slowly got up onto his feet and realized there wasn't even a ground to step on. Where the hell was he?!
"OH MY GOD! HE'S BEEN ISEKAI'D-GAAH!" Kaminari shouted aloud before suddenly being struck in the gut by Jiro's ear jacks and sent back into his seat.
"Don't yell so close, you idiot!"
Iida had begun to reprimand both parties as everyone was finding it a little funny from the outburst that the electric blonde had made; even Izuku was seen chuckling a little at the absurdity of what had happened, "Ha ha… at least it wasn't some random truck barreling down the alleyway, right?"
"Are trucks really known for that?" Todoroki asked in his usual monotone voice, making it hard to tell if the red and white-haired teenager was serious. Thankfully. It was Tsu who had answered the question.
"No, they don't normally do that, Todoroki."
The boy looked only more confused now as Ochako had cleared her throat, and she brought the attention back to the screen, "It kinda looks like he's in outer space, doesn't it?"
"Oh, totally, but where are the stars though?" Toru had spoken up, looking around to possibly see any of the lights while her fingers twirled the ends of her light green hair around her fingers.
Izuku began to frown gently, wondering if it was something like the 'mindscape' he was familiar with when it came to the times he spoke with the vestiges of One for All. He leaned back in his chair and relaxed a little more comfortably; at least he was out of danger for the moment.
As he took in more of his surroundings, he noticed what could have possibly been a sun far to his right. Oddly feeling compelled to get closer, he started to walk towards it, his footsteps as silent as the area around him. As he walked for what felt like minutes, a flick of blue light caught his eyes as it danced towards him like a firefly.
Izuku stood there as what appeared to be a tiny shard that looked like crystal humming and glowing brightly. The boy raised an eyebrow, staring at the weird little thing before him; he felt the warmth once again envelop his body. The soft, motherly words echoed not only in his mind, but he could feel it within the vastness of… whatever… space he was in.
'Hear… Feel… Think.'
Izuku frowned, reached out, and took the crystal with no hesitation.
Everyone watched as Midoriya's counterpart had just taken hold of the random blue light with no questions or hesitation; it was almost as if he knew what to do and just did it. Grim was chuckling low to himself, reclining back in his seat as he rested his hands on his stomach, eager for the next scene to come and excited to see everyone's reactions to the 'flare' he had added to the stage prior to their arrival.
All Might was watching the boy he had just admonished break past the line to run towards the villain, seeing him haphazardly toss his school bag at the being and nailing it in the eye with a pencil case (an All Might one he would muse later on) and start to claw at the sludge to free the hostage. He heard the snippets of chatter between the two, both obviously knowing one another and seeing the green-haired boy give a weak but bright smile as if to let the other boy know he was going to be alright.
What a fool he had been.
The skeletal form of Toshinori Yagi started to steam a little before bulking up to his "alter ego," smiling brightly and beginning to run to block the blow meant for the green-haired boy on the ground. But a bright pillar of light soon engulfed the alleyway, blinding the number one hero as well as everyone in the area. It hummed for a few moments before; just as quickly as it appeared, it faded away. All Might opened his eyes and gasped as what stood before him was not the scared boy but someone completely different.
As everyone began to cheer for All Might buffing up and going in to save their friend, they all immediately cried out when the screen suddenly blinded them from the pillar of light on the screen. It took a few seconds for the audience to recover from that, as Mineta exclaimed, pointing above the screen, "What the heck is that?"
As everyone looked up to where the diminutive boy was pointing, they could see the edges of the giant movie screen shimmering with a decorative border around it with what looked to be seventeen circles placed within the border itself. However, there was one circle shining brighter than the rest with a symbol akin to what looked like a shield, and within a small etching of a banner below it, a word was simply written in there for all to see.
And it read, 'Paladin'.
The crowd gasped as there stood what looked like a medieval knight. Pure alabaster-white plates with gold trims adorned with gray metal patches accenting certain parts of the armor. Several of the motifs were like wings of birds or something angelic in nature.
The helmet was the most striking as it entirely covered the head of the person. While covered with the white, gray, and gold trimmings like the rest of the armor, there was a mane of darkened hair coming out the backside, and said hair was a familiar forest green, making the Pro Hero behind him widen his blue eyes.
On the left arm of the 'knight' was an equally exquisite heater shield; a beautiful light blue orb sat neatly near the top. And in the right hand was a sharp sword, glowing in power. While not precisely matching the exquisite armor's colors, it looked like something from a fantasy world with how elegant and 'bizarre' it was.
Everyone was stunned to see the radical transformation that had taken place, none more so than Izuku, whose fingers were twitching to begin writing down everything he could see and analysis of his current look; he was snapped out of his 'thousand questions a second' thoughts when he was being shaken by Kaminari and Sero with utter glee on their faces, "Holy shit dude! You look badass!"
"That armor looks so exquisite!" Momo exclaimed as well, taking in the look and smiling brightly as it reminded her of how some of the armor in the books she liked to read had been described, but then turned her attention towards Izuku, "To think you could just create something that extravagant in an instant! I am truly astonished at your skills to do so, Midoriya."
The young heiress beamed a small smile at the boy, who chuckled meekly and scratched his cheek, "T-Thank you, Yaoyorozu…" Still smiling brightly, Izuku had failed to notice that rather scarily dark smile on Ochako's face at the exchange between the pair, even if she wasn't fully aware of it herself.
While this was going on, Bakugo had finally snapped himself out of his thoughts when he was suddenly blinded by the light of the screen just a few moments ago, taking in the sight of the now transformed Midoriya and scoffed to himself as he knew that whatever weapons he had wouldn't be able to do jack shit against the slime.
The sludge villain got its sight back just then, taking in the new foe, and growled, "Who the hell are you?!" it bellowed loudly and got no verbal answer in return before it screamed out in agony when the shield was tossed expertly into the eyes of the villain again.
Bakugo's eyes widened as he watched the metal-clad figure take hold of the returning shield and then dashed in a single leap towards the pair, spinning in the air and cutting him out of his slimy prison. He grunted as he fell hard onto the ground, which snapped All Might out of his stupor of amazement.
The blonde hero dashed and quickly scooped up Bakugo into his arms and brought him back to the other Pros, who were merely watching the fight as it continued within the alleyway. All were mesmerized as the knight simply kept tossing his shield to bash the sludge villain's eyes over and over again. In contrast, he kept cutting away at the flailing sludged limbs.
"ARRGH! YOU WILL DIE!" exclaimed the sludge villain as it pulled itself back together and filled out more of the alleyway to try and enclose around the knight. As it was doing so, the sword was plunged into the ground as the metal-clad being shouted a single word that echoed loudly off of the walls in an almost ethereal tone.
"CONFITEOR!"
"...Did anyone else's spine just tingle when he said that?" Mina had asked, shivering slightly with Toru beside her doing the same. From his seat not too far from the pair of girls trying to recover from the pair, Koda had looked quite frightened at the tone of voice that Midoriya had given, with Tokoyami, Dark Shadow, and Shoji doing their best to calm the animal speaker down, though Tokoyami's feathers were a little poofed up, having felt a similar sensation as to what Mina had described.
Within mere milliseconds, a golden circle full of strange runes surrounded the sludge man. Within the center mass came a giant golden blade that shot up through the villain, who screamed in pure agony as he exploded in a sludge-filled mess that covered the walls and some of it, splattering on the heroes and Bakugo from how close they were.
A few silent moments passed, and the knight slowly placed his sword to his side and the shield onto his back., turning his head back towards the group of heroes who were awe-struck by such a feat.
The knight was about to say something, but he vanished with a twist of sparkles and a bright shining light in a blink of an eye.
Everyone had watched in silence at what they had just witnessed, mouths agape as some were trying to mouth out the words to form and express their utter shock; even the three teachers were left dumbfounded by what they had just seen. Suddenly, the students were cheering loudly, a shout of 'manly' echoing out from Kirishima as the class celebrated the rather flashy and almost explosive way the villain was taken down, even laughing at the mess that splattered against Bakugo and All Might. Even the aforementioned number one hero was laughing loudly at his counterpart's predicament, while Bakugo, still in the box, was growling indignantly.
Izuku's fingers were flexing, and his right leg was bouncing up and down rapidly, his eyes nearly pinpricks as he wanted to analyze what had just happened because what kind of quirk summons a sword from the ground?! Where was his notebook when he needed it?
Suddenly, something hit his leg, causing the boy to look towards what had done that, and he smiled wide as he quickly grabbed the notebook that somehow appeared before him, with a brand new and sharpened pencil on top of it. Quickly beginning to write his thoughts down, no one had noticed that Grim had snapped his fingers, having caused the new notebook and pencil to appear for the green-haired boy, smirking under the hood and eager to see how everyone would react to the rest of the 'show'.
Izuku groaned as he placed his hand on his head, running his fingers through his hair as he had a massive headache. He slowly and tiredly pulled himself from his bed. He stomped towards the bathroom to get himself ready for another day of hel- school. He sighed as he opened the medicine cabinet to get the toothpaste, and after closing it, he dropped it into the sink and exclaimed, "WHAT THE HELL?!"
The expletive coming out of the screen and coming from the Midoriya on screen had silenced everyone, flabbergasted that he had actually swore!
"Midori! How could you?" Mina said in faux shock, staring at the boy with wide eyes, "Where, oh where has our sweet Midori gone!" She placed her hand on her forehead and fainted backward into her chair, with Toru fanning her with her hands to help sell the teasing as Izuku was stammering and trying but utterly failing to apologize to her for the actions of his on-screen self.
"Umm… guys?" Kaminari said, looking a little pale as he pointed up to the screen while everyone was focusing on Mina's antics; as everyone turned back toward the screen, everyone gasped at the transformation before their eyes… and a few blushes appeared on a select few members, with Izuku being the reddest as he hid his face in embarrassment.
His reflection was much different from the previous day, as the ordinarily scrawny Izuku was now not. He was still lithe in build, but he was cut and muscular as he also noticed he even grew a solid foot in height! His hands searched and roamed his body, and he even pinched himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming. "Ow! OK, this is not a dream!"
The green-haired boy looked down at his legs and saw them tense as he shifted around; he began to analyze himself and was muttering out loud, "... I don't remember being this fit ever! How the hell did this happen overnight?" he asked before taking a peek under the front of his pajama pants, more out of curiosity to make sure nothing was wrong.
His face paled; apparently, he was now even bigger than before where 'that' mattered.
Ah, so this is how Izuku would die, not by an all-powerful two-hundred-plus villain after his equally as old quirk, but by sheer embarrassment.
Everyone was silent while a few of them slowly looked toward the currently curled-up young hero in training, but no one expected what would come out of the mouth of one of their classmates.
"How much bigger?"
Heads whipped towards the pink-skinned woman as she kept staring at Izuku in honest curiosity, though the heavy purple blush on her cheeks was a dead giveaway that her thought processes weren't one hundred percent innocent, before snapping out of her thoughts and looking around at all those eyes on her. Ochako, in particular, was as pale as a ghost, her mouth agape in shock at what one of her friends had asked.
From behind the 'alien girl's' seat, Kyoka looked mortified and hissed, "Did you just ask that?!"
Blinking for a few moments, it dawned on Mina what she had said, and that purple blush on her cheeks grew much darker, "I said that out loud, didn't I?"
A high-pitched whine started to come out of the boy as if he was deflating, hoping the ground underneath him would just swallow him up. Thankfully, it was Iida who was able to regain some control of the situation and try and 'save' his friend, though his glasses looked a little cracked and began to chop the air as he spoke, "E-everyone, let's all just keep focused and remember that the Midoriya on screen did the correct thing to check over his body after such a d-drastic change."
Another whine came from Midoriya as everyone slowly did their best to look back towards the screen and ignore the 'elephant' in the room.
Izuku stormed out of the bathroom quickly, muttering a mile a minute as he searched through his clothes to find something to wear. But, to his dismay, nothing fit anymore!
Dashing to his mother's room, he knew his father's clothes were much larger than his, and thankfully, his mother was still very sentimental in regard to his long-dead father. He found a pair of jeans and a simple black t-shirt and muttered out a 'sorry dad' as he put them on.
It was at this point that Izuku was able to look back to the screen, a curious look on his face from behind his fingers due to the fact that his father in this universe was dead. While he hadn't met his father since before he was four years old, at least he knew that the man was still alive, right?
Wondering about what had happened to the senior Midoriya, Izuku had sat up properly in his chair again, his cheeks still red however, as he could feel the heavy silence from those around him, wanting to ask if this was also true in their world, "D-don't worry, guys… My father works overseas; he's still around from the last I heard from my mom."
For some reason, that hadn't sat well with anyone in the room, especially one dual-quirked boy who had raised his eyebrow in curiosity, idly glancing back towards their skeletal teacher who was currently frowning up at the screen.
The clothes were still a little tight, but they were more manageable; as Izuku wandered down the hallway, he began to retrace his steps about what happened yesterday. Izuku remembered the awful day at school, then the sludge villain trying to take over his body, then… All Might… and lastly, he was trying to save Bakugo from the sludge villain, then… nothing.
He stopped in his tiny kitchen, thinking hard now as he realized he had no memory after almost being killed by the villain. He didn't remember how he got home and into bed!
"You sure mutter very loudly, Kupo!" a high-pitched voice spoke to him that froze the teenager in his tracks. Slowly, Izuku panned his eyes toward the origin of the mysterious voice and gazed upon an odd creature.
Before him was a sizable white-furred creature floating in the air with little flapping bat wings keeping it aloft; its eyes seemed shut. But he could tell it wasn't blind as he looked up to see an odd sphere attached to the creature's head. The silence between the two continued before it spoke up again.
"Good Morning, Kupo!"
Izuku screamed.
The screen soon faded to black, a few people snickering at the other Midoriya's reaction to the admittedly cute creature that had popped up, though they would later admit that if it was them, they would also have freaked out, given everything that had happened to the green-haired boy that particular morning. Izuku was once again groaning and hiding his face in his hands.
"Well, that's it for chapter one… How did you all like it?" Grim said as he stood up from his chair, moving to stand at the front of the theater and have everyone look at him.
"It was quite a lot at the beginning, admittedly…" Shoji had said in his gruff tone of voice, with a few others nodding before looking towards Izuku, "And while I'm sure you may not wish to speak about the past, Midoriya… but if you wish to, I'd be more than happy to lend an ear or five…" The giant student smirked underneath his mask, seeing the semi-bright smile of his classmate.
"T-thank you, Shoji… I am sorry, everyone, for keeping some things a secret; it's just…" Izuku was about to continue when he felt Ochako's warm hand on his arm again, beaming an equally bright smile at him.
"You don't need to explain… just take your time, and you can talk about it when you are ready." She kept smiling at him, and as Izuku started to turn into a strawberry again, Grim suddenly clapped his hands to get everyone's attention.
"Alrighty, enough of that, kiddos," The robed man shook his head gently, "So you just got a taste of what to expect… and yes, that includes some rather heavy and dark tones, and not just with the whole… well…" Grim went quiet for a few moments, the silence growing heavy amongst the students as many of them had looked to Izuku with sadness before Grim perked up again and continued, "So, we got a couple more of these before our first break, so let's start the second chapter."
"Oh, and All Might…" The weaver of tales turned his cowl towards the confused skeleton of a man, pointing at himself, "Be prepared for a LOT of questions after the next showing. You are going to need to bring everyone up to speed on your and Midoriya's quirk and relationship."
