In this chapter, Sam will be confronted by a number of people, including Elizabeth, about spreading rumors/lies about Elizabeth. What will Sam have to say for herself? Read to find out. Chapter 45

***The Next Day at GH***

Liz: "So, how'd your date go the other night with Chet?"

Terry: (smiles) "It went very well. I had a great time. He treated me well. I'd definitely go out with him again. How are things with you, Biz? Anything exciting going on?"

Liz: (chuckles dryly) "Are you ready for this?"

Terry: (concerned) "Uh-oh. Do I dare ask?"

Liz: "Sam's talking trash about me to anyone who will listen." (scoffs) "Even Cameron and Josslyn are hearing it."

Terry: (nodding) "I hope that you'll put a stop to it…both you and Jason…because you did nothing wrong. I can't believe the lengths Sam will go being she lost Jason. Biz, you did NOT steal Jason. I know that you would never do that."

Liz: (sighs) "I just hate that Cameron's involved."

Terry: (confused) "What do you mean?"

Liz: "Cameron wants to go after Sam. Jason and I warned him to only use his words. Otherwise, Sam will use it against him."

Terry: "I do admit I see Cameron's point that he has a right to defend you. Elizabeth, you're his mom. But, yes, he should use his words."

Liz: "Jason is going to confront Sam about spreading trash against me."

Terry: (smiles) "Good boy. As long as that's all he does as he doesn't need to be arrested due to the bitch."

Liz: "I'm planning on confronting Sam, too, because the lies need to stop. Sam needs to come after ME, not spread shit behind my back."

Terry: "When will you do this?"

Liz: "After work tonight before going home."

Terry: "When is Cameron going to do it?"

Liz: "I wouldn't be surprised if he confronted Sam after he gets done with school. Jason will after work." (chuckles dryly) "Jason's with Sonny now because he's pissed off at what Sam has become."

Terry: (shakes her head) "Well, I don't blame him. Sam's turned into a psychotic bitch."

(The women agree that Sam needs to be dealt with)

***Sam's Penthouse***

(Sam yells for Danny from the bottom of the stairs)

Sam: "Danny, are you ready to go to Grandma Alexis's house to hang out?"

(Danny comes downstairs irritated at his mom)

Danny: "AGAIN? You're always bringing me there."

(Sam looks at her son weirdly)

Sam: "No, I don't."

Danny: (raises his voice) "Yes, you do!"

Sam: "I thought you liked going over there."

Danny: "I mean, I do. Yeah. But, I also miss my brothers. When can I see them again? I haven't seen them in a while. I miss dad, too."

Sam: "I didn't realize you missed Cam, Jake, and Aiden. You DO realize that Jason isn't your biological father."

Danny: "Jason will always be my dad. Of course, I miss my brothers." (confused) "There's one thing I've wondered ever since I found out Jason's not my biological dad."

Sam: "What's that, honey?"

Danny: "Being Jason's not my REAL dad, who is?"

(Sam closes her eyes and sighs deeply as she wipes her face with her hands. Oh, goody. She was NOT prepared to answer Danny's questions. Not at all)

Sam: "How about we discuss it another time, sweetie, as Grandma Alexis is waiting for us?"

(Danny gets angry and throws his hands up in the air in a huff as he screams)

Danny: "Why won't you tell me?! I have a right to know who my biological father is!"

(Danny storms out of the penthouse with Sam sighing in defeat)

Sam: "You may have a right to know who your real father is, Danny. But then Jason or Franco may fight for custody of you. I don't want that. Jason or Franco can accuse me of being a bad mom." (scoffs) "Mom already does."

(Sam quickly shakes her head and places a few strands of hair behind her ears)

Sam: "I need to table this for now and get Danny to Alexis' house."

(Sam rushes after Danny)

***Alexis's Cottage***

(Alexis is happy to see her grandson. However, judging from his facial expressions, she gathered he wasn't completely happy to see her. Danny rushes to his room with a worried Alexis running a bit behind him)

Alexis: "Danny? What's wrong, honey?"

Danny: (raises his voice) "Ask mom! Maybe you can get her to tell me who my real father is! She won't tell me!"

(Danny slams the bedroom door behind him, causing Alexis to jump up a bit in response. Alexis walks to Sam, who's in the living room. Alexis points at Sam with a serious tone)

Alexis: "Okay, explain. NOW."

(Sam sighs deeply and briefly closes her eyes and covers her face momentarily before speaking)

Sam: "Danny asked who his real father is. I wasn't ready to tell him yet."

(Alexis's eyes widened a bit as she points at Sam)

Alexis: "You haven't even told ME yet…" (points at herself) "…and I'm your mother. Oh, my God, Sam. Is Danny's biological father that bad?"

Sam: "No, I just…I wish Jason was his dad. I'm just worried Jason or the biological father will try suing for full custody."

(Alexis glares at her daughter before responding)

Alexis: "What do you expect, Sam? You are not always present in Danny's life. You never did tell me the history of you and Danny's father."

(Sam sighs in defeat at her mother)

Sam: "I'll tell you when it's just you and me and Danny won't overhear."

Alexis: "Does Jason know who the father is?"

Sam: "Yes, unfortunately."

(Sam looks at her mother directly in the eyes with a serious tone)

Sam: "I want to know if I can trust you…as my mother and as my lawyer?"

(Alexis sighs deeply as she knew her daughter was serious so it was a serious topic)

Alexis: (nods) "I don't always approve of your choices. But, yes, anything you tell me is confidential."

Sam: (nods) "Good. Because Jason doesn't know my whole history with Danny's father." (smiles briefly) "Thank you for watching Danny. I appreciate it."

Alexis: (raises her eyebrows) "Let me guess. You have another meeting with your 'friend'?"

Sam: "The less you know the better, mom."

(Sam leaves, shutting the door behind her. A few moments later, Danny comes out of his room and into the living room)

Danny: "Is mom gone?"

Alexis: "Yes. Do you want to talk about it?"

(Danny sits on the couch with Alexis sitting next to him)

Danny: "I hate it when she keeps secrets from me…especially when they're about me." (tilts his head) "Do you know who my real father is?"

Alexis: "Unfortunately, your mom never told me, either. I have asked her, though."

Danny: "Why won't she tell me?"

Alexis: "I wish I knew, honey."

(Alexis takes her grandson in her arms and comforts him while he softly cries)

***Sonny's Office***

Jason: "I need to leave work early today. I'm going to see Sam and confront the bitch on spreading lies about Elizabeth."

(Sonny, who's siting in his desk chair, warns his best friend as well as right hand man)

Sonny: "Don't do anything drastic. You don't need to end up in jail. Sam's not worth it."

Jason: (shakes his head) "I'm not going to threaten Sam. She does deserve it, though. No, I just have some choice words for her. Cameron and Elizabeth do, too."

Sonny; "Are you going to go with Cameron when he sees Sam?"

Jason: "Cameron can take care of himself. If he needs help, he knows to ask. I would never turn my back on him."

(Sonny nods in agreement)

***Metro Court***

(Sam needed a drink to take the edge off after the day she had and it wasn't even over yet. As Sam sat the bar, and ordered a stiff drink, Carly comes on the scene)

Carly: "You'll need a lot more than that to get rid of your frustrations."

(Sam rolls her eyes in annoyance)

Sam: "You again. Why are you here?"

Carly: (laughs) "I own this place. Why wouldn't I be here?"

Sam: "You, Lizzie, and Jason seem to be everywhere I turn. Can't I have a moment of peace?"

Carly: (raises her eyebrows) "In this small town? Not a chance. You DO know that when you're a bitch to others, you deserve what you get in return, right?"

Sam: "Says you."

(Sam takes a drink of the drink the bartender gave her. It was stiff, that's for sure. But it was needed)

Carly: "Are you ever going to stop going after Elizabeth? She has done nothing to you."

(Sam laughs incredulously at Carly's statement)

Sam: "Nothing?! Carly, she stole Jason from me! Everyone, including YOU, thinks she's so perfect! She's not!"

Carly: (shrugs) "Elizabeth's not perfect. But she's a hell of a lot better than you. She did NOT steal Jason from you. You lost him all on your own. Accept it and move on. And while you're at it, quit talking trash about her when you know damn well it's not true."

(Sam casually shrugs as she spoke)

Sam: "How do you know that it's not?"

(Carly leans forward closer to Sam before speaking)

Carly: "You're forgetting I've known Elizabeth a lot longer than you. I would know if she's sleeping around. But you?" (laughs) "Don't get me started, McCall! Elizabeth isn't perfect, but neither are you. So don't act like you are! And whatever you got going on, drop it now."

Sam: "Who says I'm planning anything?"

Carly: (shrugs) "It's who you are. It's in your DNA."

Sam: "Believe what you want. I'm out of here."

(Before Sam can leave, Carly stops her)

Sam: (sighs deeply) "Now what?"

Carly: "How's Danny? I never see you two together. Also, who is watching him while you're here having a drink?" (raises her eyebrows) "Alexis as usual?"

(Sam ignores Carly and walks away, but not before putting a five-dollar bill on the counter to pay for her drink)

***Later***

(As Sam is walking through the park on her way home, she runs into Cameron, who blocks her way)

Sam: (scoffs) "Is it my day to get lectures or something? Shouldn't you be in school, Cameron?"

Cameron: "I got out a half hour ago. I wanted to see you."

Sam: (shrugs) "Why?"

(Cameron angrily leans in to face her before speaking)

Cameron: "You need to quit spreading shit about my mother all over town when you know damn well it's not true."

Sam: "So your mom didn't steal Jason? Cameron, come on. You know Jason was with me until your mom decided she had to have him."

Cameron: "No, you lost him all on your own. If you hadn't spread lie after lie about my mom…or told Jason repeatedly mom was after him when she wasn't…OR accused Jason of having feelings for mom…" (smirks) "…although that part is true…" (angrily) "But he stayed with you until you drove him away. All of that is on you. Quit blaming my mom for things that you did."

(Sam folds her arms over her chest as she spoke)

Sam: "Of course, you'll take her side. You're her son."

Cameron: (shrugs) "I'm just stating the truth. Can you honestly say you've been doing the same about yourself? Leave my mother alone."

(Sam narrows her eyes)

Sam: "Is that a threat, Cameron?"

Cameron: (shakes his head) "No. She minds her own business. You should mind your own business."

(Just before Cameron walks away, a thought comes to him and he faces Sam)

Cameron: "By the way, I miss Danny. Jake, Aiden, and I haven't seen him in a while. Are you preventing Danny from seeing us?"

Sam: "Technically, he's not your brother."

Cameron: "Maybe not biologically. But he's our brother in every way that matters. We'd like to see him…if you can manage that…please…"

(Cameron walks away. Sam nods and smiles slightly)

Sam: "Huh. Can't say I expected that from Cameron. He's more grown-up than I thought."

***A Few Hours Later***

(Sam was attempting to get some fresh air on the balcony when she heard a loud knock at the front door. She was wondering who that could be as Danny was still at her mom's. As she opened the door, she was caught off-guard to see Jason)

Sam: "What's with the visit?"

Jason: "Stop spreading lies and gossip about the woman I love."

(Sam couldn't stop the chuckle from escaping her mouth)

Sam: "Wow, first Cameron, now you?"

Jason: (nods) "So, Cameron did come then."

Sam: "We bumped into each other in the park. I was pleasantly surprised to see the young man. I do know that I haven't said anything that hasn't been true."

(Jason tilts his head and raises his eyebrows)

Jason: "Are you sure about that? You lied to me about being Danny's father when it was really Franco. Elizabeth doesn't deserve to have her name being trashed all around town."

(Sam's eyes widen in shock as she spoke)

Sam: "Are you serious? Any chance she gets, she spreads lies!"

(Jason points at his ex and speaks in a serious tone)

Jason: "No, that's what you're doing and it needs to stop. If you think I'm going to come running back to you, think again."

(Sam folds her arms across her chest and smiles a bit smugly)

Sam: "Sooner or later, you'll come back to me again. You know you will."

(Jason can't help the laugh from escaping his mouth)

Jason: "What planet are you living on? I…DON'T…LOVE…YOU! Get the fucking picture! As soon as Elizabeth's divorce from Franco is finalized, her and I will officially be together…the way it should have always been."

(Sam nods in response before speaking)

Sam: "How long before the divorce is final?"

Jason: "Less than two weeks now."

Sam: (chuckles) "You and Lizzie must want the divorce to be done and to be done with Franco."

Jason: "And you, too. I can't stand you."

Sam: (to herself) "Oh, before the divorce is finalized and before you can be with the little muffin, Cyrus will have her."

(After Jason leaves the penthouse, Sam speaks out loud)

Sam: "The plan will go into effect soon and Lizzie won't be around to see her divorce be finalized."

(Sam evilly smirks)

***An Hour or So Later***

(It was time for Sam and Elizabeth to get things out in the open. Also, for Elizabeth to make things clear to her enemy. After Sam answers the door, Sam chuckles dryly)

Sam: "When I see two, the third one arrives eventually."

(Elizabeth casually looks at Sam)

Liz: "Oh, I take it Cameron and Jason have already made their appearances today? Well, it's my turn. They wanted to defend me. But, to be clear, I don't need defending. I've always been able to stand on my own two feet…unlike you. Although, I'll admit it is nice to hear this."

(Sam narrows her eyes)

Sam: "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

(As Elizabeth goes in, Sam prepares for a battle while shutting her door. Elizabeth goes to the coffee table and faces her enemy)

Liz: "It means I've never seen you without a man. Sam, have you ever been single?"

(Sam scoffs as she briefly looks around before facing her rival)

Sam: "Why does that matter? You need to quit stealing men from me."

(Elizabeth looks like she's thinking as she speaks)

Liz: "Hmmm, who have I supposedly stolen from you?"

Sam: (yells) "Jason! He broke my heart when he left me for you!"

Liz: "Are you forgetting that he said he didn't love you anymore? Or that you were always getting in trouble with your parole officer Delores and Jason was getting tired of it?"

(Sam knew Elizabeth was right. It still stung to hear the words)

Sam: "You bitch."

(Elizabeth raises her arms to her shoulders and chuckles)

Liz: "Why? Because I'm speaking the truth? Sam, you need to face the truth, that you lost Jason all on you own. You didn't need any help from me. If Jason was truly in love with you, I would have accepted it and moved on. But he told me that it was always me."

Sam: (nods) "I'll get him back."

Liz: (weird look) "How? The only way you could do that is if I'm not in the picture anymore. But, Sam, he doesn't love you. When are you going to accept it?"

Sam: (to herself) "Oh, don't you worry, little muffin. You won't be in the picture much longer."

Liz: "You're not gaining anything by spreading trash about me. More people are just defending me. Come to think of it, Sam, who is defending YOU? Something tells me no one." (serious tone) "You leave me and my family alone." (shakes her head) "Spreading shit about me isn't earning you brownie points with Jason or anyone else. Face it, McCall, you're all alone."

(Elizabeth departs Sam's penthouse. Sam nods her head as she realizes she needs to make the final steps with Cyrus to get rid of Lizzie)

Sam: "It's time for you to go away…permanently."
