When Izuku awoke the next morning, he immediately knew what had happened from the fact that his body once again felt lighter. It seemed that using his Remilia transformation so much the previous day had truly paid off, because the moment he got out of bed, his, er, her new bat wings knocked the lamp off the nightstand. She blankly stared at the new appendage before laughing lightly. Wings were so damn cool. Maybe she could get an internship with Hawks utilizing this form. She sauntered to the bathroom and appraised her new yet old form. It was strange, seeing herself at this height, as she knew Remilia was shorter than Izuku, but it did nothing to deter her. And at least this time she didn't have any annoying boobs to worry about. Remilia was as flat as a board.

Even if the Remilia aspect of her felt jealous of the Noelle aspect and wasn't that a surreal feeling?

She opened her mouth and inspected her fangs. "Humu, humu. Very nice. I guess I can replenish strength by drinking blood now."

She had the fangs before, but they were mostly just for show. Now they had actual purpose because she finally had all of her vampiric abilities back. And that included the ability to sway fate in her favor. That ability was just far too overpowered and in fear of invoking a Monkey's Paw effect, she chose to only use it when things were truly dire.

After all, even Remilia herself hadn't used it all that often. Such an ability was not to be used lightly.

"Now then," she mused as she gazed at the clock hanging on the wall. "I better get to class. It's Hero Training today and there's no way I'm missing that!"

She then snorted at just how much more confident she felt when channeling Remilia. Maxed out Charisma indeed.

She was about to change back when she recalled another ability Remilia had and a sly smirk crossed her face. She got dressed - in the male uniform - and put her foot on the edge of the now open window in the bathroom. "Where I'm going, I don't need roads."

And she jumped out before quickly levitating upward and rocketing through the sky. Quirk usage wasn't illegal so long as she wasn't using it as a vigilante, so this was perfectly fine. She did several corkscrews and flips, laughing joyfully as the ground beneath her passed by in a blur. So this was how it felt to fly. No wonder Hawks was always smiling!

Eventually she landed in front of the school and was immediately bombarded by girls of all things.

"Oh my god!"

"It's a Prince!"

"He looks so handsome!"

She blinked and then mentally did the math. Remilia had a flat chest and a fairly princely looking face. And without her normal frilly outfit or hat . . . she would look pretty reverse trapish. Add the male uniform onto it and yep, she could totally see why these girls thought she was some kind of prince charming.

She glanced at each of them and smirked. "Sorry," she said as she flipped her hair and walked past them. "Romance should be the last thing on the mind of a hero."

She actually heard them swoon and chuckled . . . before she immediately cringed. Remilia's charisma stat really was maxed out. Things she'd never be caught dead saying were coming out of her mouth. Either way, the moment she was past the doors, she undid her transformation.

"Man," he said as he rubbed his head. "Remilia really changes how I view the world. Almost like she's the one in control. Even though we're the same person."

He shook his head and made his way toward class. Today was sure to be exciting.

"I am coming through the door" came the booming voice of All Might "like a normal person!"

Izuku had to shield his eyes from the sheer majesty that was All Might. He truly was something else in person. From his trademark smile. To his rippling muscles and tight abs- he coughed blood and immediately swatted Noelle's mindset away. He was not going to thirst over All Might!

Though people might think otherwise if they saw his damn room.

All Might went on to explain that they were going to do Hero Training - as he'd expected - and that if they were going to act as heroes, they needed to look good doing it.

And that's when he remembered the original outfit he had drafted up long ago. One he had never updated. Horror dawned on him and as soon as he got into the changing room, he ripped the hood off of it and threw it in the trash. He was not going to wear that abomination! The rest was fine, but that thing that made him look like a Discount All Might? No. Not ever. Maybe if he was still himself, he might have tolerated it, but with both Noelle and Remilia teaming up and cringing violently at the thought of it, he had no choice but to discard it.

He stepped out into the battle area and brushed himself off. This was it. His first real hero class. One that would have gone far worse if not for his quick thinking.

He then noted Iida, who clearly resembled his older brother and Setsuna, who, well, had a bodysuit that was far too tight. He averted his eyes and found himself analyzing Komori's outfit instead.

It was some kind of mushroom themed idol outfit.

"Komori-san," he said as he approached her. "What's up with your outfit? Weren't you going for a Witch motif?"

She flinched and whipped her head toward him. "Uh, yeah. Funny story. Uhm. This was my older brother's prank on me. He swapped the hero outfit I had drafted up for myself with one for a cosplay event I was going to attend. And, yeah. So until I can get a revision, I'm stuck with this."

He nodded, feeling her pain. His outfit was ass until he ripped the hood off after all.

They were then cut off by All Might clearing his throat and explaining the details of the exercise. It eventually ended with them having to draw sticks.

He was on Team A. He glanced across the crowd for the other member of Team A.

And there, holding up a matching stick, was none other than Katsuki Bakugo.

Well, you know what they say. Sometimes your worst enemies could be your greatest allies.

Deciding to rip the bandaid off, he approached his former friend. "Katsuki-"

The blond met his eyes and let out a huff. "Stop acting like I'm going to bite your head off, Deku."

Air left Izuku's mouth like he was a deflating toy. "Come again?"

"You proved to me that you were more than just talk by coming in Number One in the damn exam. And then again in the Quirk Test. Truth be told, I really did think you were looking down on me. That you'd been hiding your Quirk. But the more I thought about it in depth, the more I realized that couldn't be true. You've always had a bleeding heart. And if you had a Quirk back then . . . you'd have used it to protect so many people."

But then he was suddenly up in Izuku's face. "But that doesn't change anything about my future. I will get stronger. I will surpass you and I will be the best!"

The resolve burning in Katsuki's eyes was stronger than ever before and Izuku couldn't help but smirk.

"I dunno, Kacchan, can you keep up?"

"Fuck you, Deku! You'll be hanging on for dear life, I'll be pulling ahead so fast!"

Izuku laughed. "Sure thing. But before beating me, don't we need to beat our opponents?"

Katsuki snorted. "Aside from that Icy-Hot Bastard and maybe that Detachable girl, no one else here can match us. But don't worry, I won't fuckin' underestimate anyone."

And so the rest of the teams were decided and the first match was Team A versus Team D.

Izuku Midoriya & Katsuki Bakugo Versus Tenya Iida and Kyouka Jirou.

The former being the Villains and the latter being the Heroes.

Izuku chuckled before transforming into Remilia. "Come, Kacchan. We must settle into the role of being villains, right?" she asked him, finding immense amusement in the face that he wasn't expecting her to be a girl.

And so the heroes would traverse the building in search of the bomb. But upon reaching the most likely floor, they found only Izuku, lounging in a seat, her head supported by her hand as she gazed at them with a bored expression on her face. "I see that you've stumbled upon my domain."

She allowed herself to rise up out of her chair and stood tall, her wings unfurling behind her as her red eyes seemed to glow in the dark.

"Well met, heroes! I hope you're prepared to breathe your last!"

She summoned Gungnir, its eerie purple glow illuminating the room.

"For this is where your journey ends!"

"Wow," she heard Jirou mutter. "He, er, I guess, she is really getting into the role."

"As expected of Midoriya-san. But I won't falter!" Iida said as he took a combat stance. "The lives of everyone in this town depend on us finding that bomb! I won't let your grandiose performance frighten me!"

Izuku threw her head back and laughed. "Such baseless confidence! Tell me, heroes. Why did you come to this room in the first place?"

Iida hesitated. "I- I felt compelled to come here!"

She smirked, knowing her gambit had paid off. The ability to sway fate had been invoked. It was only a very minor use at this time, but she wanted to see if she could utilize it as well as Remilia could.

"Indeed you did. And now you realize your folly. Should you really be wasting time facing me?"

She glanced at the door. It was about time for the main event to start.

She knew Katsuki wouldn't be able to remain idle for long. He was a much more aggressive fighter than her. So she told him to wait until both of the heroes were right where they wanted them. And from there, they could go all out.

"Iida" Jirou spoke up suddenly. "Bakugo's coming-" and then she was unceremoniously blown away along with the wall she was jacked into.

"You sure can be long winded, Deku" Katsuki said as entered the room and casually slapped the capture tape on Jirou before Iida could even respond. "But it doesn't matter, because we're going to win this!"

Iida looked between them and then slowly backed away before quickly grabbing Jirou and retreating at high speeds.

"The hell?" Katsuki asked. "Did he just run?"

Izuku simply chuckled. "No. He was merely playing the role he was born to play. A hero would never choose the mission over an injured comrade."

Her red eyes took on a dark glint. "Even if it meant sacrificing thousands."

Katsuki glanced at her. "When the hell did you get so edgy?"

"Since I learned you can't save everyone."

Noelle and Remilia had failed to save so many. For Noelle, it was the citizens of Mondstadt during Dvalin's attacks. For Remilia, it was her parents.

Being a hero was not an easy path. You'd have to make tough choices. Choices that you may regret in the future.

And yet.

"Hero Team Wins!" All Might's voice bellowed.

Izuku grinned. Being a hero also meant not giving up until the very end.

Katsuki blanched. "What the fuck?!"

"Iida-kun is the second fastest after me. He merely got Jirou-san out of harm's way and used his speed to search the entire building while we were standing here reveling in victory. He used the villain's overconfidence against them."

Katsuki chopped her on the head, eliciting a 'ow!' from her. "If you knew that, why'd you keep standing here then?!"

She held her head and glanced up at him. "Because I thought it'd look cool!" she whined. "Like an epic showdown between heroes and villains. With the good guy pulling out the last minute win!"

Katsuki chopped her again.

"Ow! Why are you hitting me?!"

"Are you a goddamn Chuuni or something?!"

" . . . Maybe?"

He chopped her again.
