A little weepy chap for you!

Hermione woke up in her bed at Headquarters with a gasp. She'd had a dream about her Mum, something that she knew was sure to happen as their wedding loomed closer and closer.
July, 1987
"Good morning, ma belle fille," Jean Granger cooed as Hermione rose from her bed.
"Bonjour maman," Hermione said through a yawn. "What are we doing today?"
"We're going to help Dailailah get ready for her wedding. We have to make sure that her father ties the shoes to the back of the drive away car, because that means that Dailailah's new husband will pay for all her pretty dresses."
"That's quite silly, Mum," Hermione said with a chuckle "Dailailah is a barrister, she can buy her own dresses!"
"Mmm, but that's tradition! Now what do you remember about the cake?"
"Black cake!" Hermione clapped, it was one of Hermione's favourites. The fruitcake had fruits that were soaked in rum and wine for at least six months, and was closer in consistency to a plum pudding than anything else.
"What else?" her mother asked, grinning.
"The Dance of the Wedding Cakes!" Hermione shouted, standing on her bed now. "I can't wait to see Tantie Evie and Tantie Marie dance with the cakes on their heads!" Hermione mimicked the dancing that she'd seen at the last wedding. "That is my most favourite part!
"I think it's mine too. I can't wait to show off my moves at your wedding!" she pulled Hermione into a hug and peppered kisses all over her cheeks. "Alright and now tell me about what Dailailah will wear."
"She will wear her maman's veil for the whole ceremony so that the evil spirits can't get to her. And she'll have…" Hermione trailed off, forgetting the order of the next part.
"Something old, in this case, a bracelet from Mémé Pat so that she can soak up the luck that Mémé Pat and Papy Bill have had in their marriage. Something new, her dress and shoes, which symbolises new thoughts and ideas to the marriage. Something borrowed, she'll wear my necklace so that good fortune may follow her through her marriage. And finally, something blue-"
"Because that is the colour of love!" Hermione added.
"Very good, ma belle fille," her mother said with a smile, patting her cheek, "Now up you get, we have places to go and people to see!"
Present (May 11, 1998)
"What is it, love?" Theo asked, pulling her into his chest. Draco sat up on her other side, hovering over her.
"S-something o-old, n-new, b-b-borrowed, and blue!" she sobbed.
"Ah, thought that might be it," Draco said softly. "We were going to wait, but it seems like now might be the right time?"
"Yes I think so, mi amor," Theo said softly.
"Sit up, darling," Draco said, pulling her to sit against the headboard and handing her a small package.
She looked at it and saw her mother's handwriting looping with her name on it. She opened the box and saw a card lying on the top.
Ma belle fille,
It's your big day! I can't wait to see you in your finery walking down the aisle (do Wizards and Witches have aisles? A good bit of research for me…) I hope that you keep the traditions that we've held so close for so long, but to make that all easier, here you are:
Something Old: The pearls that your father bought me for our first anniversary so that you may have a long and fruitful marriage like ours.
Something New: Well your dress of course! I'm sure we've picked something fabulous.
Something Borrowed: I've added the veil that I wore at my wedding, but I hope that you'll pass it on to your daughter(s) one day and them to theirs. Remember it's only to borrow, but the financial stability won't be!
Something Blue: I've written another letter to whoever you get to marry, my money is on that Malfoy boy (you know what they say, the boy who pulls on a girls braids…) but regardless of who it is I've asked them to make sure you have a sapphire ring to symbolise the love you share.
Now I'm sure I've gott you weeping, but really you have a wedding to prepare for. Your father and I have talked and talked about it and I know how excited he is to walk you down the aisle. I love you with all my heart ma belle fille, and I know that you will be a vision on your day.
Avec tout mon amour,
Maman
Draco chuckled when she handed him the letter as she pulled out each piece her mother had left her. "Are you sure you don't have Seer blood, darling?" Theo asked when he saw her mother's predictions.
"You're just jealous that I got a shout out!" Draco said with a laugh.
"Thank you for this," Hermione sniffled, leaning into Theo and gripping Draco's hand. "This is exactly what I needed today."
"Don't worry, love," Theo said, "We're planning to fly you away on a broom with Potter's shoes tied to the back-" Hermione let out a snort.
"And Mum and Ginevra are probably practising their cake dancing now," Draco added with a wink.
"And Mr. Malfoy and I have very debauched ideas about what we're going to do to you under that long veil," Theo whispered, causing a shiver to run up her spine.
Thanks for reading! Let me know what you think or if you have any thoughts about what might happen next!
