At three in the morning, Hermione and Draco shot up, wands lifted when they heard the door open. Ginny was standing in the large doorway, tears streaked down her face. "M-Mi," she sobbed, "can I talk to you?" Hermione shot out of bed, rushing to her friend. She pulled Ginny into a hug then guided her back to her room. The two of them curled up on Ginny's bed, and Hermione held her for a few minutes, until Ginny's sobs slowed down.

Ginny didn't cry.

"I'm not a Weasley," she whispered.

"Neither am I," Hermione said wryly, earning a soft chuckle from the red head. "This is all a little shocking. Did you talk to Molly?"

"No," Ginny scoffed. "After I finished talking to Dad and the boys, I came here. I don't want to talk to her. She's always been so rude to you…"

"I mean they often say that you find your own faults annoying in others," Hermione said, running her fingers through the younger witch's hair. "Arthur wouldn't turn you away, and your brothers looked furious with Molly."

"They are," Ginny sniffled, "Ron's still being a git, and with losing Fred…"

"Well, lucky for you, I've always wanted a real sister. Now we get to build our own family however we want it to look. Theo, Draco and I will take care of you, and I know that Arthur and your other brothers will too. And you have Harr-"

Ginny let out a pitiful wail. "Hermione!" she sobbed. "I-I d-don't- can't love Harry."

"What do you mean? You've been talking about him for years?" Hermione asked, a bit perturbed by the seemingly sudden change.

"Just, it doesn't feel right. Like all this time with him it felt like I was supposed to like him, not that I actually did."

"I understand that," Hermione whispered, "isn't that what everyone thought about Ron and I?"

Ginny nodded weakly, "Look at us, destroying expectations left and right." The two of them fell asleep, Hermione wrapped around her sister.

When she woke up the next morning in Ginny's room, Theo was curled around her back and Ginny was sprawled in front of her. She vaguely remembered Draco coming in and kissing her goodbye and dropping Theo off to cuddle them.

Lulu popped in with another small elf, rousing Ginny and Theo when they smelled the breakfast in front of them.

"Lulu is being here to introduce Mistress Ginevra's personal elf," Lulu chirped.

"My name is being Kevin," the little elf chirped. Kevin was wearing a pillow case that had a little lion holding a quaffle on it. Kevin had started weeping, "I have been waiting for Mistress to come home since she was being born!"

Ginny sort of blinked at the elf the. Let out a small gasp, "I can feel you, Kevin!"

Hermione grinned at her, House Elves were part of the family line, their magic sort of meshed with the family magics and if you were lucky enough to have a personal elf, the bond was even stronger. When she first felt the bond with Lulu it'd been strange, but she'd finally understood why House Elves didn't want to be freed. S.P.E.W had changed its goals from freeing elves to protecting them.

The rest of the morning, the three of them lounged in Ginny's room, discussing all of the changes. Theo showed them a bit of the family magic, and Ginny finally understood just why she was so excellent at hexes.

"We have a natural affinity for them," he said with a shrug. "I've seen your Bat-Bogey Hex, we're also pretty decent at spell creation."

Ginny grinned at him and then looked serious, "Do you think all my brother's are dad's? How could we not know?"

Theo looked sheepish, "Your Mother is the worst kept secret among our sect. She's still Pureblood, and Sacred 28, so she doesn't sully the men but…"

Ginny snorted. "Merlin, is she really that much of a slag?"

Hermione bit back a chuckle. "I would guess that's why the Weasleys are so separated from the rest of high society," Theo said, "Let's her keep the illusion of faithfulness."

That afternoon, Pansy politely called on the house, inviting Hermione and Ginny to their shopping day. Hermione had dressed in robes that were brightly colored, but a lot more modern than what was traditional. She had had Lulu whip them up the night before. Ginny went in her typical casual clothes, winking when she saw Pansy's horrified face.

The first store they came to was a boutique that sold casual wizarding wear. Hermione and Ginny were daunted by the piles that had already been gathered for them to try on. Pansy introduced "Myuh" to Daphne Greengrass and Millicent Bullstrode, and Hermione had to bite her tongue not to say anything sharp to the girl who'd had her in a headlock.

After a few outfits, Daphne approached Ginny. "My sister is in a right state about your betrothal to Draco."

Ginny lifted an eyebrow challengingly. "Oh! Don't get me wrong," the blond tinkled out a laugh, "she's a bloody menace and I would never want to subject Draco to that. She'd been hoping that she'd get a contract. She was moping all night after Pansy told us."

Ginny grinned at her, "The next Lady Malfoy will not be a Slytherin!" she twirled around and Hermione clapped as the colours of her skirt changed.

Millicent was quiet, and Hermione felt a bit bad for her when she wasn't participating. "Why don't you try something on?" she asked kindly.

"I- Well I don't usually get to," the girl said awkwardly.

"Why ever not?" Hermione asked, perplexed.

"Well," Millicent looked over her shoulder at the other witches and when she was sure they couldn't hear she continued, "I'm not like them. I'm quite fat and they don't usually-"

Hermione chuckled, and then quickly sobered when she saw Millicent getting upset. "Stick with me, doll, we'll fix you up. Where I come from, our bodies are considered most attractive." She turned to look at the petite witches that were sorting through racks, "and they would be considered unwell."

"Wh-what?" Millicent asked, surprised.

"You British!" Hermione chuckled again, "For being the colonisers you were, you surely don't know much about the rest of the world, do you? And you Magical British are worse than your Muggle counterparts. You don't know anything about the rest of the world do you?"

Millicent sort of shook her head and then cocked it to the side, "What do you mean?"

"Well," Hermione said gesturing to her body, "I'm a bit smaller than I usually am, we had quite a hard year this past year and until Theo came and got me, I was alone and there wasn't much food. Many other parts of the world find that our assets are better off being large."

"Not here," Millicent said sadly, "People like Draco Malfoy would nev-"

Hermione couldn't hold in her laugh. "Millie, can I call you Millie?" when the girl nodded she continued, "Can you keep a secret?" when she nodded again Hermione leaned in and whispered, "I've caught Draco Malfoy checking out my assets many times."

Millicent looked intrigued, "But you're not…"

"A stick?" Hermione laughed, "Of course not! I'm soft, and comforting and there is a lot to grab and look at." She shrugged, "Now Draco is off the market, but I'm sure we can find you another excellent suitor. Let's find you some new clothes."

The afternoon seemed to fly by after that, Hermione found that Millie was excellent company and the more she came out of her shell, Hermione watched her shine. She was just as insecure as Hermione had been. She looped her arm through Millie's "You must come to dinner at Mitternacht!"

"Of-Of course, Myuh," Millie said, still seeming surprised at the camaraderie.

"And I insist that you come dress shopping with Ginevra and I. I'm planning on going to what I heard is the most exclusive designer. We'll get you all fitted as well!"

After they'd gone to more stores than Hermione could count and sent their numerous bags home with their elves, the five witches went to dinner at a small restaurant tucked away at the back of the Alley.

"Cheers," Hermione said, holding up her glass, "to excellent sisters and new-found friends." The women all cheersed and took sips of their wine. Hermione found that when these girls felt more comfortable they were quite nice to be around, even Pansy Parkinson, who'd warmed up quite considerably over the day. Hermione watched Ginny animatedly talk to Daphne about Quidditch and with a grin tuned into Millie and Pansy's conversation about the latest novel that had just come out.

By the time Ginny and Hermione made it home, they were exhausted, but Theo and Draco insisted on a fashion show. They had the elves set up a runway and fill the seats as Hermione and Ginny strutted down the catwalk in many of their new outfits. Although the day had started quite difficult, Hermione found that it ended up being one of the better days she'd had in a while.
