Vellian Crowler was stomping all around the Duel Academy hall. It was a full month after the first day of the school and the worst part of it? Jaden, the Slifer Slacker of Duel Academy, is still here, walking around without a care in the world.
"I can't believe it! A month has gone this year and I still haven't gotten that slacker expelled!" yelled Crowler so loud, Sheppard could hear it in his office. "I have tried everything! Getting him in the Girl dorm, showing him litter, getting in public fights, picking up my hard earned money only for him to throw it away and so much more!"
Crowler kicked a trash can out of pure rage…only to pick it up not wanting to get fired. He doesn't know how that slacker even came here…oh wait.
Crowler always boasts about this Academy and his Obelisk Blue students, only to have him come along and ruin his mood, day and reputation of the school.
Hell, he even sent in some Obelisks to duel him, but they got their ass beat by him in only 2 turns.
Sure, there is also Celina, who is constantly beating up the Obelisk Blues left and right, Syrus who can't even answer the simplest of Duel questions and Chumley who is still a Slifer despite being a third year. But to him they don't matter. He can just promote them to Ra and even to Obelisk, even Chumley he can promote, with his amazing artistic skills.
But then he had an awful idea, which he got a devilish grin on his face. The only person he hasn't dueled by the first years is the heir of one of the biggest companies on the planet, The Princeton Company, Chazz Princeton.
He really needed to talk to Chancellor Sheppard about some promotion exams, which can take about a week.
He knocked on the door of Sheppard's office and opened it. He saw Sheppard in his office.
"Ahh, Doctor Crowler. What do I owe the pleasure?" asked Sheppard as Crowler got closer to his table.
"Well, I was wondering about the promotion exams." Sheppard leaned in as Crowler continued, "A week later, and we have them. So I was wondering about Jaden Yuki. You know how really good is about dueling, despite his grades."
"Ahh yes. How could I not!? He is the most promising freshman, with an amazing dueling record." Crowler tried his best not to cringe when he heard that, "Beating over 20 Obelisk students in two weeks and a couple of Ras! But I was wondering, why are you interested in him?"
"Well, I was thinking about making him duel Chazz Princeton." Sheppard was intrigued, confused, but intrigued not the least, "It can be the final duel of the promotion exams to see what two most promising freshmen are made of. And if Jaden wins, he can automatically be promoted to Ra Yellow. So what do you think about it?"
Sheppard had a soft smile on his face and clapped his hands, "Great idea, Crowler! We will make that happen! But we won't inform them, understand?" Crowler nodded his head, "Good, now take care."
Crowler left the room with a happy smile on his face with no malice whatsoever. "Jaden Yuki, you will soon meet your most humiliating defeat!" He then started laughing.
A week later
It was a bright, sunny Friday morning. For some, it was just another day of the Academy, for some it was the day when they get new cards, but for others, the day that they can be upgraded to a better dorm.
Some woke up early to get to Duel Academy, only to not be opened. They must figure that they will come later today.
Case in point. Military submarines, helicopters and planes all flew towards Duel Academy. Their mission was the most difficult thing any person can do, delivering cards for some card-hungry beasts they call Duel Academy students.
"Attention all men. Opposing planes, boats and helicopters, hell it seems that the entire world is against us." said the admiral as he assured his men. "But in the end, our goal is nearly done. The most important part of our journey is almost done." he said as he looked at his suitcase, which had the Duel Academy logo on it.
The main military boat came further than others, "Our main stop. Duel Academy."
Meanwhile
The Slifer Red dorm was quiet this time of the morning. The two best Slifers are currently sleeping, not caring one bit about these promotion exams. Celina didn't mind being in Slifer, the same can be said about Jaden.
But one of the Slifer Red trio didn't share the same opinion as his two friends, so his best option was gluing 3 copies of Monster Reborn to a stick that was on his head while at the same time bowing to a picture of Slifer The Sky Dragon.
"Please, please, please! Help me ace my exams today!" pleaded Syrus as bowed to the picture, "I don't want to stay as a Slifer Red for the rest of my school life! Uh, not that you are bad or anything, it's just that, well, y'know, the clear bias towards us. I hope you understand! Please give me a sign that you will help!" as then from the room left to him, he heard an alarm clock smashed by a fist and the alarm clock going off in his room.
"Oh it's just the alarm clock that Jaden always sleeps through. How can he and Celina sleep through a day like this?" Thought Syrus as he began shaking his best friend, "Jay, wake up! Todays the promotion exam, and you don't want to be late!"
Jaden mumbled in his sleep, "Oh…yeah…well I will…" "Oh no," "Attack you directly!" yelled Jaden as he woke up, accidentally punched Syrus on the face, "Oh Sy, good morning. What's up?"
"Why can't he sleep in defense mode?" he mumbled, "Oh nothing much, just the most important day of our school life!" Jaden tilted his head in confusion, "Today is the promotion exams!"
"Oh yeah. So is that the reason you woke me up?" asked Jaden.
"Yes! Why wouldn't we wake you up!?" Syrus just can't handle his best friend's idiocy sometimes.
"Ahh, I gotcha." said Jaden as then some had come into his mind, "Hey, isn't Celina also sleeping right now?" as both Chumley and Syrus' eyes widened from the image of him waking her up.
"Yes, but can you, um, wake her up?" asked Syrus as he didn't want to get 'accidentally' punched on the face while she was still asleep. Sure that was selfish, but he didn't want to get a broken bone in his body before school!
Jaden shrugged his shoulders as he got up, "Sure why not?" He exited his dorm room as he went to Celina's room, which he got for the specific reason of waking her up if she ever sleeps in, to wake her up.
"That was incredibly selfish Syrus," Syrus looked up to see Chumley, "now he is gonna have a broken nose for the rest of the day!"
"Maybe she isn't going to punch Jaden on the face like us two." fake assured Syrus. Both Chumley and Syrus put their ears on the wall to hear Jaden getting punched, but what they got was her waking up like usual with no punch whatsoever! Double standards!
He opened the door only to see Celina in her casual clothes with her uniform, going to the bathroom to shower, while Jaden went back to his room to go back to sleep.
"Jaden! Wake up!" yelled Syrus as he got punched by him again! "WHY?!"
A few minutes later
After Celina was done showering and changed into her uniform, she went towards the entrance of Duel Academy, while hearing Syrus behind her, running in top speeds as he mumbles something about being in the test.
She really did not care about the promotion duels, she was perfectly fine with being a Slifer and didn't have to wear that uniform. Honestly for her the most exciting part of the day would be to duel a different student, maybe even Jaden. She grinned just to the image of her dueling him, in the promotion exams.
It only took her 5 minutes, exactly 10 minutes before the written exams. So she was patiently waiting for the test to begin. Luckily she studied for the written part, she didn't want to go to Ra, but she still wanted to pass the test, don't judge her.
She looked around the classroom, and saw Bastion with 5 different mechanical pencils, 3 erasures and 8 calculators on his desk, the Ra next to him, with a hair close to that of Yugi's, looking him with a shocked look, and Alexis talking to her two friends that she met couple of weeks ago.
She heard the door opening and saw her cyan haired friend running into the room while taking deep breaths. Wait how did he get behind her, he was running at top speeds?! She shook her head as she waved her hand towards Syrus.
Syrus saw her and ran towards our favourite indigo haired girl, "Oh *pant* hey, Celina *pant* Have you seen Jaden anywhere?" asked Syrus as he sat down. He saw the look of Celina, and it wasn't a good one.
"No, sorry. I haven't seen Jaden anywhere." said Celina as she stood up in her seat, "God, where is he?! I swear if he gets into trouble again, I will beat the shit ou-"
Before she could scare anyone else, the ring bell was going off meaning the test was starting. Professor Banner entered the classroom while carrying a box with all of the tests, "Good Morning, everyone! I hope you are ready for the hand written exam for your promotion exam!" he yelled with enthusiasm in his voice.
He put the box down as he then turned around, "Alright everyone! I want your books down, your pencils, erasures and any other accessory important for the test on your desk right now!" Everyone did as they were told. "Good. Now, I want everyone to take your hand written exam, and if I catch you cheating you will automatically fail the test. Am I understood?" everyone nodded.
"Good. Now good luck on your test!" he yelled as everyone stood up and took their test.
It was actually hard for Celina and most likely for the rest of the students, well maybe not for Bastion who was doing it so fast the test might as well combust into flames. The questions themselves were about a specific scenario where you were in a duel with specific monsters, spells and/ or traps on the field and/or hand. Some you needed to know the Fusion material of the specific Fusion monster.
She was on question 4, of question 10, and even then it was a real head scratcher. "No, I don't know the Fusion material of Fusionist! Who even knows that?!" she thought, but then she heard the door opening and saw the idiot that was 15 minutes late into the test!
Jaden hears Syrus, who is now asleep, mumbling something about Spell cards, "I didn't know this was an oral test, Sy! Maybe sleep would be better than putting out an all nighter, am I right? And hey, Celina, how's it going?" asked Jaden.
"Oh hey, you are here!" yelled Syrus.
"What took you so long?!" whispered yelled Celina, "You only have 45 minutes left for the test!" Jaden put his hands up, with a cheeky smile and he was walking backwards, not wanting to feel her wrath.
Chazz couldn't take it anymore as he slammed his desk, "Will you three cut it?! We are trying to pass this exam, you slacker!"
Jaden looked at Chazz, fully offended, "Hey, I also plan on passing, it just doesn't always work that way!" he yelled at him, but he heard Banner's voice.
"Oh, Jaden!" Jaden turned around to see Banner, "Why don't you come down here, and get your exam." As then he ran down some desks to come pick up his exam paper.
"He better had studied this. We are 15 minutes into this thing and he would be lucky to even finish it"
"Look at him. Tardy, happy go lucky, if only he applied himself he could be a great duelist." both Bastion and Alexis thought at the same time.
Jaden started writing the answers to the test, he didn't know the answers at all, he just blindly guessed. Then after he was finished, he went back to sleep with Syrus doing it as well. People are still not sure how he even got here…. oh wait.
While everyone was doing their exams, no one noticed the door opening to which Crowler peeked his head, "You may have dreamt your way out of the written part, but the dueling part will be a nightmare for you!" Crowler then started laughing.
No one still has noticed him, but Banner saw the door opening and saw his co-worker, "Ahh, Doctor Crowler," everyone, sans Syrus and Jaden, "What do I owe the pleasure of seeing you?"
"AHH!" Crowler closed the door and ran away like a kid that saw a spider on the wall.
"What a fucking weirdo." everyone thought in unison as they continued writing their exams.
On the shore of Duel Academy, the admiral has sailed on the island with new rare cards in a suitcase, "We are almost done, my men. We can finally see our families once again after this dangerous mission."
Everyone in the military was hugging each other with tears of joy planted all over their faces, happy to finally see their children and tell them on their life threatening mission.
The admiral gave his men a signal that he was going alone, a true leader.
Meanwhile, in class, students were still doing the exam, until they heard ring bell going off, meaning the test was over, many groaned and whined, some didn't even finish the final question!
But Banner wanted to lift up their mood, "Alright everyone leave your exams on the table, so I can pick them up. Oh and by the way, they are new cards in the card shop around this time so-"
"Wait, they are here!?" yelled a random Ra Yellow.
"Oh dear." Banner watched as everyone, sans Bastion, Alexis, Syrus, Celina, Chazz and Jaden, ran out of the room in blazing speed.. He shook his head, "Ahh, teenagers. What a weird part of your life." As he stood up to pick up their paper, he saw Celina exiting the room in a calm manner, most likely going to buy new cards, but not in a way like the other students.
Alexis wanted to just relax from the test, so she didn't bother going to the card shop. Besides, they are gonna be there in a month or so, so why would she hurt herself for new cards?
Bastion looked at his paper, and thought if he did everything correctly for a perfect grade, as soon as he saw Banner he gave the test to him. He saw his two Slifer Red friends and approached them.
Chazz was currently looking at his test paper, as his two goons approached him, "Chazz! The new cards are here!" yelled Taiyou.
"You don't want to miss them!" yelled Raizou.
Chazz didn't even bother looking at them, "So? Go fetch," and then like slaves they exited the room to get the cards for him.
Jaden and Syrus, on the other hand, slept like babies.
Meanwhile at the Card Shop
Students, more like beasts, were hitting the metal door, wanting to get the new cards faster than the others. Some even began, headbutting the door, punching it, ramming their entire bodies at the damn thing, some even used other students to open the door.
Celina walked at the exact moment she saw a Ra Yellow and Obelisk Blue using a Slifer Red to open the thing. "Assholes, also what beasts are they?! No wonder the military is afraid of them."
As if on cue, the admiral entered the room, with everyone turning to see him holding a briefcase in his hands. "Hey, Duel Academy students looking for these!?" yelled as he then lifted the briefcase up in the air.
The students chanted, "Cards. Cards. Cards. Cards. Cards. Cards." while Celina thought she was the only normal person there.
Everyone stepped aside as they let the admiral lift the metal door with ease, with one arm. He looked at them over his shoulder, "Come and get it." as then the door was then closed shut.
They waited in anticipation, waiting for the door to open. The second it lifted itself up in the air, everyone started to make a line, the first time they were civil.
Much to everyone's disappointment, they saw an individual with robes all around his body, covering his identity beside the empty box that was supposed to be for the students.
"Where are they?!" yelled a random Slifer Red.
Sadie, the worker for the card shop, pointed at the man covered by robes, "You know the rules, first come, first served."
The students decided to glare at the mysterious man with all of their hatred, "And I was first, so I took every single one." said the buyer, "Goodbye my paycheck for two months."
Celina decided to look closer to the man, and saw the features no one else could have in this Academy, "Doctor Crowler? Why are you here?"
Crowler's eyes widened like plates as the students put 2 to 2 together, it was him, so he tried to convince them that it wasn't him, "What, no. I am not Doctor Crowler, I don't even know who that devilishly handsome man is! I am, uh, Chronos de Medici! Mama Mia!" He tried to pull off the best Italian accent he could.
It failed horribly, as everyone, sans Celina, began chasing after him.
She sighed, "Boys." she shook her head, as she went to the counter to buy some packs. Sure they won't be as useful as buying the new packs, but she can have some staples, like Monster Reborn (she had them, but someone glued them on a stick), Raigeki, Graceful Charity etc.
"Excuse me miss," Sadie turned to Celina, "Do you still have some packs left?"
"Wait a sec, I'll get them," said Sadie as she went to get a box full of generic cards that Celina could use for her duels, "So how much do you want to buy?"
Celina looked at the box and saw that there were around 30 packs left, so she decided to buy 6 of them, she didn't want to waste all her money on the entire box. Who does she think she is? A Youtuber?
She took the money out of her red jacket and placed them on the counter, which Sadie happily put in the register.
She took the packs into her hands and approached a table where she could peacefully open up her packs, only for her silence to be ruined as soon as she heard Jaden running in saying, "Come on, Sy! We have to be in the front of the…" said Jaden as he saw how deserted the place is, "...line? Where is everybody?" he turned his head all over to Celina who was currently opening the normal packs while minding her own business.
"Don't tell me, they already are sold out!?" yelled Syrus as he dropped to his knees.
"Yep," the duo looked over Celina, not even turning around, "Doctor Crowler bought every pack here. Don't ask me why, I have no clue."
Jaden snapped his fingers in frustration, but he saw a shop lady working on the counter so he and Syrus approached her, "Hey, do you have any packs left?"
Sadie looked over them with a smile on her face, "Sure we do." she said as she reached for the box, only to have only the generic packs like Pot Of Greed. Speaking of, Celina got herself a Pot Of Greed and Monster Reborn in those packs, good for her.
"We said some, not one!" both of them yelled at the same time.
Jaden dropped his head and looked at Syrus, "Sy, you can have it."
That's all it took for an argument to commence as the Slifer Red duo started arguing on who deserves the pack. Syrus wanted to give it to Jaden while he insisted on giving it to Syrus.
Fortunately, the door of the Card Shop opened, revealing an old, not so skinny, lady with endless kindness around her to make everyone happy just around her, known as Dorothy. "Yoo hoo, the automatic club!"
Jaden smiled when he saw this lady, "Oh, hey. You work here?"
Dorothy left out a hearty laugh as she saw Jaden, "I work here? No, I own it. Pretty cool, huh?" she winked at our favourite brunette.
"No, not pretty cool. That's pretty sweet." said Jaden as Syrus looked at him.
"Wait, how do you know her, Jay?" he asked.
"Oh well, I saw her pushing a truck that wasn't working, up a hill, so I decided to help her out!" yelled Jaden as he put his hand on his chest.
Dorothy laughs while she dug under her pockets, "Here I have something for you!" both Syrus and Jaden looked at her while Celina was opening her final pack, "Think of it, as a thank you gift!"
"Sweet! Thank you, Dorothy!" yelled Jaden as he took the card and ran to a table, with Syrus behind him. He opened the pack, and his eyes widened at the 5 cards he got in it. It was Winged Kuriboh LV 10, Transcendent Wing, Cybernetic Fusion Support, Lunalight Wolf's Dance and Parallel World Fusion.
"These are sweet cards! I can't thank you enough Dorothy! But," Jaden took the two cards as he didn't need them in his deck, "I think this card would go better for you, Sy." he gave Cybernetic Fusion Support.
"Wa-wait! Are you serious, Jay!?" All Syrus needed was a nod from Jaden as he took the card with as much patience he could ever muster…before he fell on his knees crying anime style.
Celina heard a certain Slifer crying his eyes, so she turned her head to see Jaden walking towards her, "Hey, why is Syrus crying like a child that didn't get a treat at a grocery store?"
"Oh, well I gave him a card that he needed for his deck, that I really did not need so I gave it to him." Jaden heard Celina saying 'Ahh' as he remembered to give her a card, "Question. Do you need this card for your deck?" he then showed Lunalight Wolf's Dance.
"Why yes! Thank yo- What do you want in return?" Celina was for sure thinking that Jaden needed something back. No one is that nice.
Jaden rubbed the back of his head, "Well nothing really. I was just asking if you wanted it. So do you want it?" he asked as Celina looked at the card.
Celina looked at him with a smile, "Yes, thank you Jaden. I don't know how to repay you." As she took the card from Jaden.
As then from the speakers, everyone heard an announcer saying, "Students, the dueling part of your promotion exam will begin in 5 minutes, please report in the gym. Thank you."
Celina and Jaden looked at each other, before grinning to each other while Syrus was shaking in fear.
"Good luck." Celina extended her arm.
"You too." Jaden took it.
The Gym of Duel Academy
Every freshman of Duel Academy is now in the gym, readying their decks for a better dorm, or to stay in their dorm. Sheppard appeared on the middle of the arena, "Hello my students! Today will be the most important day of your first year, well depending on how you perform." everyone tensed when they heard that and in their eyes burned up determination, "But before we can start, I need to inform you that our two most skillful freshmen are gonna duel last."
Zane, in the stands, narrowed his eyes when he heard that, "That's strange." he said that to himself, "That has almost never happened here in Duel Academy, but I wonder," he looked at Jaden, "how much potential do they really have?"
"Those two freshmen are, Jaden Yuki," everyone were taken aback, well mostly everyone, that Slifer Red is one of the best duelists here, either he is really that good or he was just lucky, "And the heir of the Princeton Group, Chazz Princeton." Now everyone turned to Chazz, who was holding his new deck that he got from someone.
He grinned as he saw Jaden, with a smile on his face,"Soon, Jaden. You will see that I will Chazz you up!"
The Slifer and Obelisk duo went to the stands, to see how the rest can duel. Chazz wanted to see how lucky they were that they weren't dueling him while Jaden is there watching for the fun of it.
Jaden's eyes were going around to see his Slifer Red buddies, but his eyes narrowed when he saw, "Syrus is dueling Celina?!"
It was true in fact, the indigo haired Lunalight player, Celina Boyle, was dueling his best friend that seriously needs to work on his self confidence, Syrus. "Well I good luck, Sy."
"Are you ready, Syrus." Celina looked at Syrus, who was hesitant at first, but nodded. "Good, since I don't plan on going easy on you!" She put her deck in her duel disk, activating it while drawing the top 5 cards from her deck.
Syrus did the same, but with less confidence.
"Let's duel!" both of them yelled at the same time.
Celina: 4000 lp
Syrus: 4000 lp
Faster than she can draw her deck, Syrus took the first move, by drawing the top card. "I summon Tankroid in defense mode!" he yelled as then a cartoonish looking tank was then summoned onto the field.
(Tankroid: Level 4 - Earth Machine - Attack: 1500. Defense: 1900.)
Celina was stunned to say the least. This was the last deck she would expect to see, but anything can happen, she guessed.
Syrus then took 2 cards from his hand, "I end my turn with 2 face downs!" as then on his field, two cards were then set vertically.
Turn 2: Celina - 4000 lp - 5 cards
She drew her card. She took a card from her hand, "I activate Mystical Space Typhoon! I can destroy one of your face downs! I choose my left!" she yelled as then a large gust of wind came towards Syrus' field targeting his right choice.
She expected a sad reaction, but what she got was a smile on his face, "Thank you, Celina. For destroying my Wonder Garage!" Syrus took the card out of his graveyard and showed it to her, "When it is destroyed, I can special summon a level 4 or lower Roid monster from my hand so I summon Submarineroid in defense mode!" as then from the grounds came out a cartoonish looking submarine with its arms crossed.
(Submarineroid: Level 4 - Water Machine - Attack: 800. Defense: 1800.)
In the sidelines
"Way to go, Sy!" Jaden jumped out of his seat and punched the air as he saw Bastion walking towards him, most likely done with his match., "Oh hey, Bastion. Are you done with your duel?" Bastion nodded, "Already?"
Bastion sat down beside Jaden, "Why yes I was. I dueled a fellow Ra, his name was Brier, and won in one turn due to my Dark Attributed Deck. It wasn't perfect, and honestly, I do have to change the deck entirely." Bastion noticed that Jaden's eyes weren't on him, it was on a duel.
Bastion turned to see what got Jaden's attention and it was a duel between his two Slifer Red friends. He figured that Celina was using her Lunalight deck, but he did not expect Syrus to play…"Roids?" Jaden turned to see him.
"Yeah, Sy uses that deck. Is something wrong?" Jaden asked.
"Well nothing is wrong, but it is shocking that he is playing that deck." Bastion looked at Jaden's confused face, "It isn't a really consistent deck, per say, but I did hear about gaining support over the years. So it is interesting to see it in action."
"Well, this just made the duel way more interesting if I say so." Bastion agreed on what Jaden said.
No one noticed the third year Obelisk Blue, Zane, looking on Syrus' duel with more interest than the other duels combined. "Let's see how you play, Little Brother."
Back to the Duel
Celina gripped her hand, but then she picked up another card from her hand, "I activate Polymerization!" Syrus gulped, "I fuse from my hand Lunalight Crimson Fox and Purple Butterfly so I can Fusion summon!" as then a feminine red fox and a feminine purple butterfly appeared onto the field, only to be sucked by a Red-Blue Spiral Vortex.
"Show your stuff, Lunalight Cat Dancer!" as then from the vortex came out a black and blue dancing cat with blue light robes around her hips with purple leggings and red bra. It had long red hair down to her shoulders.
(Lunalight Cat Dancer: Fusion - level 7 - Dark Beast-Warrior - Attack: 2400. Defense: 2000.)
Syrus' hands were shaking from fear, that was her Fusion monster in the entrance duels! If things weren't bad enough, Celina took a card from her graveyard, "I banish Lunalight Purple Butterfly from my graveyard, so her effect activates! I can special summon a Lunalight monster from my hand!" as then she picked up one of her cards in her hand, "Come out! Lunalight Wolf!"
As then behind Celina came out a dark portal, it almost sounded like something out of a festival. From the portal a dark purple figure jumped out. The figure revealed itself. It had a dark purple skin with accessories all over her legs, like an amazoness. Around her hips was dark black fur, and around her chest and torso was dark green fur covering you know what. She wore a golden helmet covering her eyes. Her hair was the most noticeable part about the monster. It was green, black, gray and white all at the same time, around it was a golden ring and it reached towards her feet.
When summoned many of the males blushed, some even got a nose bleed, *cough* Bastion and Syrus *cough*.

In the sidelines
"What a sweet and cool looking monster! Right, Bastion?" Jaden turned to see Bastion, who had a crimson red face and was covering his nose. Jaden was quickly concerned for his Ra Yellow friend, "Is something wrong, Bastion?"
Bastion quickly got out of his dirty thoughts and looked at Jaden, "Oh nothing, Jaden. It's just about Celina's monster. It's something extremely difficult to explain. It's very…well…you must understand, right?"
"Um, yeah, I get it!" "I don't get it." Jaden was confused to say the least, curse his innocent heart and brain.
Back to the Duel
Celina pointed at her new monster, "My Wolf's effect activates! When my Lunalight monster attacks a monster in defense mode, it can deal piercing battle damage!" Syrus took a step backwards as he realized at how much advantage she has, "Go Lunalight Cat Dancer! Attack his Tankroid with Full Moon Mayhem!" her Fusion monster dropped onto her arms and she ran to Syrus' tank like a tiger running towards a deer. When the monster was close, it jumped in the air and pounced on it, destroying it.
Celina: 4000 lp
Syrus: 4000 - 3500 life points
Syrus gritted his teeth, but soon had a grin, "Thanks for that! Because when Tankroid is destroyed," Syrus reached for his deck, "I can draw one card!" he did as he said that.
Celina then pointed at Syrus' Submarineroid, "But that won't stop me from attacking with Lunalight Wolf! Slash it apart!" she yelled as Lunalight Wolf started running in top speed, faster than a speeding bullet, but Syrus' other face down was activated.
"I activate the Trap Supercharge! When the only monster you are currently attacking is a Roid," yelled Syrus as he reached for his deck, "I can draw 2 cards from my deck!" he did as said.
"But my Wolf can still destroy your submarine!" As then after she said that, Celina's wolf jumped into the air, striking it with its paw.
Celina: 4000 lp
Syrus: 3500 - 3300 life points
Celina took the only card in her hand, "I end my turn with one face down!" as then a card was then set vertically.
Turn 3: Syrus - 3300 lp - 5 cards
Despite Syrus having a better card advantage in his hand, it still feels like she has the upperhand. He took a deep breath as drew his card. He looked at the card he just drew and his eyes widened when Zane saw it. "Po…Power Bond!? I can't play this!"
Syrus can't play Power Bond, he still doesn't even know the difference between knowing what the card does and knowing on how to play the card. He had a fear of the card ever since his childhood, where Zane berated him for misusing Power Bond. Ever since then he was always afraid of using even the simplest of cards, the reason why he barely has any confidence in him.
But now is not the time to think about the card, he needed to go to Ra.

To make his brother and Jaden proud!
He put the card in his hand and took the other card, "I summon Steamroid in attack mode!" As then behind Syrus came out a tunnel with rails behind and in front of him. What came out was a cartoonish looking locomotive that stood there on its back wheels when it was in front of him.

"And now his attack will be doubled with the Spell card, Limiter Removal!" yelled Syrus as Bastion and Jaden gasped at such an effect while Celina was eyeing the monster as its gears started blasting with enough speed that its steam was almost covering the machine.
Steamroid: 1800 - 3600 attack points
Celina narrowed her eyes, sure the monster was strong, but it will be destroyed in the End Phase due to Limiter Removal's effect, so she has to brace for this one attack, "Go, Steamroid! Attack her Lunalight Cat Dancer! And when he is attacking, his attack points grow by 500 attack points!" (ATK: 3600 - 4100). As then Steamroid began running towards Celina's Fusion monster only to uppercutted, causing a massive explosion.
Celina: 4000 - 2300 life points
Syrus: 3300 lp
While she did see one of her stronger monsters being destroyed, she grinned, "Good job, Syrus, but you forgot one thing. Your locomotive gets destroyed during the End Phase due to the Limiter Removals effect!"
She saw Syrus looking calm and confident, for the first time in a month, as he picked up one of his cards, "True, but who said I am done?! I activate Frontline Fusion! I can Fusion summon using monsters from my hand and/or field during the Battle Phase! I fuse Steamroid in my hand and Gyroid in my hand so I can Fusion summon!" he yelled as then a cartoonish lookin helicopter appeared onto the field, only for it and Steamroid to be sucked in by a Red-Yellow Spiral Vortex.
"Fly to the scene, Steam Gyroid!" as then from the vortex came out a combination of a locomotive and a helicopter while still looking cartoonish.

In the sidelines
Zane nodded his head with a small smile on his face, "Good. Using Limiter Removal on your smaller monster, destroying the main threat and then fusing the said monster to destroy the other monster on her side of the field." Zane couldn't describe how proud he was at that moment, but he had to remember to ask him why he was shocked by his opening draw.
Bastion said, "Not bad if I say so. Using Limiter Removal and ignoring its side effect by fusing it is a highly impressive move." he turned to Jaden, "I can see why you have faith in him."
Jaden could only smile happily as he saw his buddy do his best on one of the best in his dorm.
Back to the Duel
"Now, Steam Gyroid, steam her Wolf with Train Twister!" Syrus yelled as his Fusion monster flew towards Celina's monster, it dove right at it with a nasty left hook. Destroying it with one hit.
Celina: 2300 - 2100 life points
Syrus: 3300 lp
Syrus fixed his posture as he looked at Celina, "I end my turn."
Turn 4. Celina - 2100 lp - 0 cards
"How the hell did that happen?! At first, I had the upper lead, but he took down two of my monsters in one turn?! Not bad, not bad at all." she thought as she reached for her deck, if it isn't what she needs right now, she loses.
"I draw!" she yelled as she ripped the top card. She closed her eyes as she brought the card a few centimeters away from her face. She opened her eyes and she saw a very good card for this situation. "I activate the Continuous Spell card, Lunalight Wolf's Dance!"
In front of Celina appeared a statue of her Lunalight Wolf in a very seductive looking pose, making some males, even the females, to faint. Surprisingly, Syrus didn't fall unconscious.
The same can not be said about Bastion.
"Thank Jaden for giving me this card because I am going to win! I activate my Spell cards effect! I banish Lunalights from my field and/or graveyard so I can use them as Fusion materials for a Fusion summon!" yelled Celina as Syrus took a step backwards as she took out Lunalight Cat Dancer and Wolf.
"I banish Lunalight Cat Dancer and Wolf so I can Fusion summon an even more stunning creature!" yelled Celina as her Fusion feline and her feminine wolf appeared from the grave, only to be sucked by a Blue-Black Spiral Vortex.
"Show your stuff, Lunalight Panther Dancer!" as then from the vortex came out a panther with dark orange skin. Around her hips she wore a long pink robe that was the same length of her narrow, but long dark tail. She had dark blue paws on her hands and feet with gold rings around them, and had golden accessories around her arms. She also had dark green hair.

"When did she have that?! It looks way more terrifying than her regular Fusion monster! But," Syrus straightened his back as he was looking at the Fusion monster, "I still have enough life points to survive for the next turn." But his eyes, and the rest of the finished duelists, widened as they saw Celina activated her set card. It was…
"The Equip spell Megamorph! If I have less life points than you, the equipped monster's attack points are now doubled!" Panther Dancer grew twice its usual size.
Lunalight Panther Dancer: 2800 - 5600 attack points
Syrus dropped to his knees, already admitting defeat as he hears Celina yelling "Go Panther Dancer! Attack Steam Gyroid with Ripping Frenzy!" as then her new Fusion monster ran in top speeds, almost like teleporting.
When it appeared in front of Steam Gyroid, the Machine Fusion monster couldn't even react as Panther Dancer clawed itself towards the inside of Steam Gyroid, destroying every piece of gear it had. Panther Dancer took the arm away from the unmoving machine monster, when it did it caused the machine to self-destruct instantly.

Syrus: 3300 - 0 life points
CELINA BOYLE: WINNER!
The audience of students already finished, while some were still dueling. Celina approached the now down Syrus. He looked up and saw her hand to which he accepted. "Great duel, Syrus. You honestly scared me for a moment."
Syrus stood up, still shaking her hand, "Really? I guess I got lucky then. I will always be a Slifer." Syrus drops his head down, only to Celina smacking his back.
"Hey, cheer up. Just because you are a Slifer, doesn't mean you are weak." Celina gestured towards Jaden, who was standing up waving to get to their seats, to which they both went towards him, "I mean look at me and Jaden. We are great duelists despite being in Red. So cheer up."
That made Syrus' low confidence in him go up, as he then ran towards his best friend with a happy smile on his face, "Hey, Jay! Were you impressed by my moves?!"
Jaden couldn't help, but give a thumbs up, "You did amazing, Sy. You too, Celina. I can't believe you made a comeback almost as good as mine!"
Syrus sat at the right of Jaden, to which Celina sat beside Syrus, "Almost? You mean better, right?" as she shot a glare.
"Maybe." Jaden responded with a glare of his own. They weren't the type of the ones you are angry with, more like a soft and friendly type.
Poor Syrus was in the middle of these two Slifer Reds, as they both got closer and closer to each other. He decided to get their attention as he saw Alexis duel one of Chazz's goons.
"HEY GUYS! Look!" Both Celina and Jaden snapped out of their competitive glaring and looked where Syrus was pointing at and the one where Bastion had his focus on after their duel was done.

"This is over! Go Buster Blader! Slash her pathetic monster and win this duel!" yelled Raizou as his warrior charged at Alexis' dancer, but she had a different idea.
"Are you sure about that?" grinned Alexis.
"Yes I am sure about that! What makes you say that?!" yelled Raizou
"Because I activate the Trap card known as Magic Cylinder! This card redirects your attack and deals you damage!" she yelled as Buster Blader went inside one of the cylinders, only for a second later it went straight ahead of Raizou slashing him and winning the duel.
Raizou: 1200 - 0 life points
Alexis: 1500 lp
ALEXIS RHODES: WINNER!
Raizou dropped to his knees, "No! I can not lose! How could I lose!?" he yelled as punched the ground like the sore loser he is.
"Real Mature." sarcastically said Aleixs as she started walking towards the stands and saw two groups. The one with 3 Slifer Reds and 1 Ra Yellow, and the other had her friends, Mindy and Jasmine.
She really couldn't have chosen the one from the other, so she went towards Mindy and Jasmine, who were congratulating her on her fantastic duel.
But before she can thank them for the compliments, every student heard Vice Chancellor Crowler walking in the center of the Gym with a big grin on his face, "Congratulations, everyone! All of you dueled very well, even the Slifers, " everyone could feel the venom of his voice when he said that, "But stay here for one more duel that will knock your socks off! Everyone has been waiting for the duel between Chazz Princeton and Jaden Yuki!" he yelled with enthusiasm in his voice because he will see a certain duelist lose in a humiliating way.
Chazz said nothing as he stood up with a smirk all over his face, waiting for humiliate Jaden in front of everyone, after he almost lost to him on the first day of the school. He opened the deck box and took the deck that he got from Crowler, with his new Union Deck. "Jaden, be prepared to get Chazzed!"
Jaden also stood up with a smirk on his face as he turned to Celina, Bastion and Syrus and gave them a thumbs up, "Don't worry, everyone. I'll win!" he saw a thumbs up from them and then his confidence grew up even higher, if that was possible. So he ran from the stands, jumped from the rails and landed on his feet without breaking a single bone in his body.
Bastion looked at the Slifer Reds, "Ho-how is he still alive?"
Celina and Syrus were confused as Bastion and they didn't even try to answer that question. They all agree to call it Pure Luck.
Chazz and Jaden reached close to each other. Both staring at each other. Crowler left before they put their decks into their duel disks and started them.
"Are you ready to get Chazzed, Jaden?" yelled Chazz.
"No, I am not, but you better be ready to get Jadened!" yelled Jaden as everybody, including Syrus and Zane, fell anime style.
Celina stood up from her seat, "That is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard in my entire fucking life!" as everybody silently agreed with her.
Jaden dropped his head, "I thought it was clever." he said sadly, but he quickly got over it, "Well good luck Chazz!"He readied his duel disk.
Chazz stood up as he readied his duel disk, "I don't need it! I already know I am about to win!"
Both of them stared down at each other, "DUEL!"
Chazz: 4000 lp
Jaden: 4000 lp
Jaden drew the top 5 cards from his deck, but Chazz drew his 6th card faster than him, so he gets the first turn.
"I'll start things off with the Continuous Spell card Different Dimension Hangar!" On the top of Chazz, came out a dark portal with two mechanical arms around it, "This card allows me to banish up to 3 Union monsters from my deck!"
Chazz picked up his deck and took out 3 monsters. He quickly threw them into the portal, still staying due to its effect. He then took out a card from his hand, "Don't think I am done with my Union monsters! I activate the Field Spell Union Hangar!" The duel arena itself turned itself into a garage of some sorts with many mechanical boxes filled with machines in it.
"Okay. What does it do?" sweatdropped Jaden.
"What it does is giving me the chance of adding a Union monster from my deck to my hand!" Chazz yelled as he took his deck once again, only to take C-Crush Wyvern.
In the sidelines
"What a rare card in his very first turn!?" yelled Syrus.
"And a very dangerous one at that. Now Chazz has the opportunity to summon a very dangerous Fusion monster with one of those materials." Bastion added along.
Meanwhile, all the professors of Duel Academy were currently watching this duel in silence. Sheppard and Crowler were in front of the room, being Chancellor and Vice Chancellor after all.
Sheppard was impressed that Chazz got the rare card, but he shrugged it off, maybe his brothers got him those cards. Wouldn't be the first time.
Crowler, being one of the smartest people in the room, was a centimeter away from the glass, with his hands on the poor things. "This is perfect! With the cards I gave to Chazz, Jaden will be squashed like a bug! This is brilliant."
Everyone sweatdropped when he started laughing.
Back to the Duel
Chazz took a card from his deck, "I summon X - Head Cannon in attack mode!" On Chazz's field appeared a mechanical monster with a spike ball as its feet and cannon as its shoulders with a yellow blue colouring scheme.
(X - Head Cannon: Level 4 - Light Machine - Attack: 1800. Defense: 1500.)
From the portal above, the mechanical arms went inside, only for a second later came out a mechanical tank with a yellow colouring scheme and a dragon looking machine with a red colouring scheme.

(Y - Dragon Head: Union - Level 4 - Light Machine - Attack: 1500. Defense: 1600.)
"How did that happen?!" Jaden yelled in confusion as he got a grin from Chazz.
"Oh, did I forget to mention Different Dimension Hangar's other effect? I am sorry," faked mocked Chazz as he pointed upwards, "When I summon a monster with the same name of the banished Union monster's effect written on, I can special summon the banished Union monster!"
Jaden took a step back, but then Union Hangar moved one of the boxes towards Z - Metal Tank, it was B - Buster Drake inside of the boxes. It fell onto the tank machine and it latched onto itself.
"...Let me guess, Union Hangar's other effect?" Jaden hated being right for once.
"Oh how right you are slacker! Union Hangar allows my Union monster to get equiped to different Union monster from my deck!" Chazz laughed, "Don't you dare think I am done!"
In the sidelines
"Oh come on! Is his turn gonna end sometime this century!?" Syrus was on the edge of his seat, hating that Jaden doesn't even get a single turn while Chazz has all the glory.
"I know right!? How come he has the rare cards, while he have…" Syrus and Bastion turned towards Celina has she didn't finish her sentence, "You don't think Crowler gave those cards to Chazz, do you?"
"Why do you think it was Crowler?" asked Bastion.
"Well, I saw a man with purple lipstick that sounded extremely close like Crowler and he freaked out when I called him out so that has to be him!" explained Celina as Bastion realized what she meant and put everything together.
"Great Scott!" Bastion jumped out of his seat, "I have been doing research about the new packs and saw a Powerful archetype! ABC deck!"
"Like the alphabet?" asked Syrus.
"Well not exactly, but close enough." Bastion sat down as he put his hands on his chin, "It's a Light Machine Union deck that specializes in summoning a powerful Fusion monster. I would have liked to build it, but it didn't have enough cards to make it, so I didn't bother getting the packs."
"I just hope Jaden can pull himself out of this." said Celina.
Back to the Duel
"I fuse together my X- Head Cannon, Y - Dragon Head and Z - Metal Tank so I can Fusion summon!" Three mechanical weapons like monsters jumped into the air. X - Head abandoned its spiky ball while Y- Dragon its wings. B - Buster Drake jumped out of the way, exploded as soon it was away from Z - Metal.
Z - Metal Tank stood still as Y - Dragon Head latched itself into it. As soon as Y - Dragon did that, X - Head Cannon connected itself on Z and Y to create a monster that Seto Kaiba himself uses.
(XYZ - Dragon Cannon: Fusion - Level 8 - Light Machine - Attack: 2800. Defense: 2600.)
"And for my last move of this turn," Jaden groaned, "Great another effect!" "When B - Buster Drake is sent to the graveyard, I can add a Union monster from my deck straight to my hand!" yelled Chazz as he took A - Assault Core to his deck.
Chazz straightens his back, "I end my turn."
Turn 2. Jaden - 4000 lp - 5 cards
"Finally, it's my turn! I draw!" Jaden yelled as he drew from his deck. He looked at it and he was upset, sure it wasn't a bad hand, but it really couldn't do anything against Chazz's field. 3 of his cards weren't very useful at this time, but at the same time the other three cards can really help him out.
He took a card from his hand, "I normal summon Elemental HERO Stratos in defense mode!" From the sky above, a Hero with propellers on him flew towards the ground, perfectly landing on the ground. The Hero appeared himself to everyone around him. He had a mask to protect his eyes, mouth and nose from the air around him. He had a blue and green skin suit.
(Elemental HERO Stratos: Level 4 - Wind Warrior - Attack: 1800. Defense: 300.)
Jaden punched the sky, "And the good news is that when he is summoned, I can add another one of his pals to my hand!" he yelled as he picked up his deck and took Elemental HERO Sparkman from his hand.
Jaden then took two cards from his hand, "I throw down 2 facedowns and end my turn!" onto his field two cards were set vertically as everybody gasped.
In the sidelines
Syrus pulled out some of his hair, "That's all he did?!"
Bastion leaned forward, "Sadly yes, that is the only thing he can do. Although," Celina and Syrus turned to Bastion, "I am shocked that he has Stratos."
"Oh yeah. Wasn't that card banned for a long time until it was unbanned a couple of months ago along with new HERO cards?" Celina asked.
Bastion nodded, "The very same."

Turn 3. Chazz - 4000 lp - 5 card
"Ha! I guess even you have limits don't you!?" yelled Chazz as he drew his next card. He looked at it, and when he did, his grin became even bigger.
"I normal summon V - Tiger Jet in attack mode!" From above came crashing down a mechanic looking tiger with jetpacks on its legs with a yellow and green colouring scheme.
(V - Tiger Jet: Level 4 - Light Machine - Attack: 1600. Defense: 1800.)
"Jaden," Chazz said in a sickening voice, "Don't forget Different Dimension Hangar's effect!" Above of Chazz's head, in the portal came out two mechanical arms putting down a mechanical catapult with a blue colouring scheme.
(W - Wing Catapult: Union - Level 4 - Light Machine - Attack: 1300. Defense: 1500.)
Chazz then pointed at Union Hangar behind him, "And don't forget Union Hangar's effect!" Behind him, Union Hangar moved one of the boxes, which contained C - Crush Wyvern, and planted on top of W - Wing Catapult.
"Wait, you have those two monsters…Don't tell me you are gonna-"
"Oh how right you are, Slifer slime! I fuse together my V - Tiger Jet with my W - Wing Catapult so I can Fusion summon!" yelled Chazz as both of his mechanical beasts jumped high.
C - Crush Wyvern jumped out of the way, exploding as soon as it got off. V - Tiger Jet flew towards W - Wing Catapult, landing perfectly, making a new monster. The new monster landed on the right of XYZ - Dragon Cannon.
(VW - Tiger Catapult: Fusion - Level 6 - Light Machine - Attack: 2000. Defense: 2100.)
"Now I activate C - Crush Wyvern's effect! When it is sent to the graveyard, I can summon a Union monster from my hand! So I summon A - Assault Core!" onto Chazz's field appeared a scorpion like machine with a yellow colouring scheme.
(A - Assault Core: Level 4 - Light Machine - Attack: 1900. Defense: 200.)
Jaden took a step back, seeing Stratos up against Chazz's 3 Machine monsters, with the monster looking ready to protect him made him even calmer. "Not bad, Chazz! Don't think I am going down that easily!" "And besides, I have two face downs so I can survive the for my next tu-"
"Oh really? Well I activate XYZ - Dragon Cannon's effect!" "Crap I spoke too soon!" "I send one card from my hand," Chazz did so, "So I can destroy your Stratos!" From the cannon of XYZ, shot berages of attacks against the Wind Hero, destroying it.
In the sidelines
"Yes! I finally got him! I won!" yelled Crowler as he scared everyone around him.
"What do you mean by that Doctor Crowler?" Crowler's eyes widened as he heard Sheppard's voice.
Crowler looked at him, "I, uh, meant that I showed you how both of them duel. Yeah that's right."
"Ahh, I understand, you were right on that part." Sheppard looked to see the duel.
Back to the Duel
Chazz shot his fist towards Jaden, "Go XYZ - Dragon Cannon! Attack that Slacker with XYZ Hyper Cannon!" XYZ pointed at Jaden with all of its cannons. Each and every one of them shot at him, almost making him drop to the ground.
Chazz: 4000 lp
Jaden: 4000 - 1200 life points
"I won! Go, VW - Tiger Catapult! Finish him Heat-Seeker Blitz!" VW - Tiger Catapult went towards Jaden at high speed, ready to attack and finish the job.
However, our favourite brunette had a different idea, "I activate Call of the Haunted! I can revive a monster from my graveyard!" Jaden lifted his duel disk as his graveyard part of the disk glowed yellow as he took a card from it, "Heroes never die, they just get stronger, so come back Stratos!"
A tombstone appeared towards Jaden with the name of the monster in his graveyard as then a hand emerged from it. The hand quickly got the entire body off of the tombstone as it was then revealed to be the Wind Hero that we all know and love.

Jaden then pointed at his revived Hero, "Don't forget his effect! I add another one of his buddies to my hand," he said as he picked up his deck and took a card from his hand.
"Fine," growled Chazz as he pointed at Stratos, "He is still going down! Go VW - Tiger Catapult!" VW went straight ahead of Stratos right through him.

Jaden: 1200 - 1000 life points
Jaden then pointed at the only set card on his field, "When a Hero is down, back up is always ahead, so I activate my Trap card Hero Signal!" Then from the activated Trap came out a light signal went ahead of Chazz with a stylized H on it, "When a Hero is destroyed, I can summon a Hero from my hand and/or deck!" He took his deck and took a card from it.
"Here comes the bubble Hero that everyone loves, Elemental HERO Bubbleman!" as then from the sky came out a Hero wearing a tight light blue clad suit in defense mode. He had two jet packs on his back, a blaster on his arm and he wore a white cape. On his chest there was a tanker with bubbles.
(Elemental HERO Bubbleman: Level 4 - Water Warrior - Attack: 800. Defense: 1200.)
Jaden had a smile as he pointed at his Water Hero, "And when he is all alone when summoned, I can draw 2 cards!" Jaden did as he said that.
Chazz growled, "Well, guess I have to pop your bubble! Go A - Assault Core! Strike him down!" the mechanical scorpion shot a beam at Bubbleman, making an explosion along the way.
Chazz then gets a psychotic look on his face when everything is now cleared on Jaden's field, something in him wants this to finish him off in the best way possible, despite him already attacking this turn. He pointed at XYZ - Dragon Cannon and VW - Tiger Catapult, "And there is more!" Jaden gasped, "Or less. Sure they say 2 is better than one, but I have to disagree. Especially when the one in question is the ultimate…"
Both XYZ and VW jumped up, as then both of their parts came out of the body. Z - Metal Tanks' legs came out, X - Head Cannon jumped out of Y - Dragon Head, who's wings came off. V - Tiger Jet jumped out of W - WIng Catapult, who's legs also came off. And then they all merged together. The legs of Z - Metal Tank became its arms, Y - Dragon Head's wing also became its wings of the giant mech, the legs W - Wing Catapult became its legs. The head of Dragon Head was on the crotch of the mech. The head of the big mech was none other than X - Head Cannon.
The mech landed on the floor, looking like something out of Gurren Lagann. Many started at it with awe on their faces and Chazz finally announced the name of his strongest monster, "VWXYZ - Dragon Catapult Cannon!"

"HAHAHA! Try to be that Jaden! Oh wait, you can't! HAHAHA!" Chazz laughed maniacally as he stared down Jaden, who wasn't budging at all. Instead he was determined to take him down .
Turn 4. Jaden - 1000 lp - 7 cards
If there is any good side to any of this, is that Jaden has more than 6 cards in his hand. That means he has the possibility of Fusion summoning Flame Wingman and use Skyscraper and he can beat Chazz!
He drew his next card. Before he looked at it, he heard it cooing. Jaden decided to look at the card, and his smile grew bigger, "Heya there buddy! Ready to beat Chazz?" He heard the monster in question coo at the answer, and he smiled.
He took a card from his hand, "This monster will surely shock you! I summon Elemental HERO Sparkman in defense mode!" he yelled as then a Hero with a blue helmet covering his face, static electricity all over his body and with a tight blue and yellow skin suit appeared on a field, kneeing with an X pose.
(Elemental HERO Sparkman: Level 4 - Light Warrior - Attack: 1600. Defense 1400.)
He then took 3 cards from his hand, "I end my turn with 3 face downs!" three cards were set vertically as everyone was shocked at the little action of Jaden.
In the sidelines
"What?! He had a full fucking hand! How does he not have a play better than that!?" Celina jumped out of her seat, nearly giving poor Syrus a heart attack.
Bastion reached for her shoulder, "Calm down, Celina. I know his turn was, quite shocking, but those Traps or Spells could help him."
Celina took a deep breath and sat down quietly, silently thanking Bastion which he nodded.
The Obelisk Blue part of the room, including Crowler, but it was internal, were laughing at his pathetic turn. Only one monster and a few Traps? He might as well forfeit.
Only two Obelisks weren't laughing, Zane and Alexis. Alexis, truly despised being an Obelisk sometimes, thinks about joining the Slifer Red dorm. Then again, she did hear about walls being only 5 centimeters thick and a floor so thin, it may as well be made out of wet towels.
Zane was quietly observing everything about Jaden. His stance, his calm attitude, how he was taken aback from the situation, but never thought about quitting. It was all admirable.
Back to the Duel
Turn 5. Chazz - 4000 lp - 3 cards
Chazz didn't say anything as he drew his next card with a grin on his face, "I summon B - Buster Drake in attack mode!" he yelled as a mechanical green dragon flew down to the scene with a mighty roar.
(B - Buster Drake: Union - Level 4 - Light Machine - Attack: 1500. Defense: 1800.)
Union Hangar, with no more explanation why it is doing anything, moved one of the boxes that had C - Crush Wyvern and dropped it on the metal dragon. At first the dragon looked like it can not hold it, but after a few seconds, all it took was a mighty roar for it to balance it.
"And since A, B and C are on the field at the same time," Jaden walked backwards, "I will fuse them together to create an even more powerful monster!"
All three of the powerful mechanical beings flew together. Detaching parts of each other, sans Assault Core. B - Buster Drake and C - Crush Wyvern all landed on the tail of Assault Core, B - Buster was on the right side of the tail while C - Crush was on the left side. Below them were cannons pointing at Sparkman.
(ABC - Dragon Buster: Fusion - Level 8 - Light Machine - Attack: 3000. Defense: 2800.)
When the new Fusion monster was summoned, both it and VWXYZ pointed their weapons at Jaden. Chazz laughed, "And now, I will clear your defense with the VWXYZ's effect! I can banish one card on your field! Go Ultimate Destruction!" VWXYZ shot a single blast at Sparkman. When it landed, the Light Hero screamed in pain and exploded.
"Sparkman!" Jaden shielded his eyes from the dust of the attack. His foot slided backwards, "I activate one of my facedowns," he pointed at his left most card, "The Quick Play Spell card, Quick Summon! This card allows me to normal summon from my hand! So make your appearance, my trusted pal, Winged Kuriboh!" He slammed the card onto his duel disk, as then a little brown haired furball with eyes that can make anyone have a heart attack from the cuteness, rivaling that of Celina's little sister, Zuzu, and with sharp little claws that was something out of a cat.
When summoned, everyone got deaf as the female side of the arena cooed at the cuteness of the monster. "SOOO CUUTEE!~"
(Winged Kuriboh: Level 1 - Light Fairy - Attack: 300. Defense: 200.)
Chazz growled, but quickly had a grin on his face, "Yeah and so what?! I will just destroy it with my ABC's effect, the only price is that I have to discard a card!" Chazz did so, as ABC, much to the female's dismay, shot beams at the cute little furball.
"I got rid of it, Jaden! What are you gonna do now?!" yelled Chazz as Jaden pointed at his right most card.
"Well since you asked, I activate Back to The Front! I can special summon a monster from my graveyard in defense mode, so fly back here, buddy!" Jaden took out the card from the graveyard and slammed it on the duel disk. The monster revived was none other than Winged Kuriboh.
"Damn it! I am gonna cook that thing! And I like it medium rare! VWXYZ's other effect activates! It switches your pathetic furball into attack mode!" Chazz's Gundam like monster shot a beam at Jaden's trusty companion, into attack mode.
The audience gasped, Jaden's friends realized the danger of the situation, Alexis had a frown on her face, Zane leaned on the rail while the rest were cheering for Chazz.
"Now, for the climatic finale! Go ABC - Dragon Buster Cannon and VWXYZ - Dragon Catapult Cannon, toast Jaden's life points and his furball!" Chazz pointed at Winged Kuriboh, "Ultimate Destruction!"
Both ABC and VWXYZ charged all of there cannons at the poor little monster, who was flailing his arms around, trying to escape. He saw the look of his master, who was calm to the entire thing, which made him calm.
The monsters shot all of the light lasers at him, but then at the last second Jaden activated his middle and final card, "I sacrifice two cards from my hand," Jaden did so, "so I can activate Transcendent Wing which evolves my monster into an even higher being!"
Winged Kuriboh started to shine brighter than any other star in the Galaxy, almost blinding Chazz. What came out of the little furball sized star were two giant angel like wings that were bigger than all of Chazz's monsters. Winged Kuriboh looked more like an angel than just a furball right now.
(Winged Kuriboh LV10: Level 10 - Light Fairy - Attack: 300. Defense: 200.)
The blast was then absorbed into the Winged Kuriboh, stopping the attempt of destroying it, "It can't be!" protested Chazz.
"Oh it be alright! This card allows my monster to evolve into a Winged Kuriboh LV 10! And it gets better! You see, by sacrificing himself to my graveyard, all of your monsters are destroyed and you lose life points equal to all of the destroyed monsters!" Jaden punched the air as he continued, "Kuriboh, show him how it works!"
All the energy from both ABC and VWXYZ are now being transferred into a light energy like explosion which destroyed not only itself, but both of Chazz's Machine monsters. Both the Machines yelled in pain before exploding with the explosions.
"NO! NO WAY!" yelled Chazz as he saw the explosion coming right at him, he had no other choice, but he took the explosion to the face with some scratches on him as he then dropped to the floor on his knees.
Chazz: 4000 - 0 life points
Jaden: 1000 lp
JADEN YUKI: WINNER!
Syrus began trembling, before he got to his senses and began cheering, "YEAH! Way to go, Jay!" him, Bastion and Celina began clapping also for the amazing comeback.
Zane nodded, "Impressive." That's all he said as he began walking away from the room with his eyes closed.
"Impossible! Even with the rare cards, he still lost?!" yelled Crowler as Sheppard looked at him.
"Rare cards? What do you mean by that Crowler?" asked Sheppard.
Crowler shook his head as he began walking out of the room with a sad and mad, a smad, face, "Nothing. Now if you would excuse me, I am going to grade some papers."
Sheppard only laughed.
Jaden was throwing his arms in the air like he just don't care. He then looked at Chazz and pointed at him with his index and middle finger, "That's game! Unless you want to duel again?"
Chazz lifted his head, glaring at our favourite Hero player, "Oh we will." He then walked off.
Jaden didn't hear his friends coming to him, so he was shocked when Celina patted him on the back, "Not bad, Jaden. You and I might have competition." Jaden only grinned.
"Great job, Jay!" cheered Syrus.
"Yes, quite. That was a marvelous duel if I say so." agreed Bastion.
From the speakers, every student turned around to hear Sheppard say, "Fantastic duel, both of you. In the history of Duel Academy, not once has a Slifer Red dueled an Obelisk Blue in one of these exams. You not only broke that, but also defeated an Obelisk Blue. Jaden, with all my gratitude, I welcome you to Ra Yellow."
Everyone, including the Ra and Slifers, began cheering once more. Bastion walked up to Jaden with a hand out, "I will be the first one to congratulate you on joining Ra Yellow."
Jaden accepted the hand shake, "Thanks!"
As then in dramatic fashion, blame Duel Academy, confetti started dropping down like in a party as the cheering became even bigger.
Sometime Later
Celina was currently in her room, doing some deck building for her Lunalight deck. Thanks to Jaden, her deck became even more consistent and stronger, she will thank him for doing that when she visits Ra Yellow.
The only thing she is hoping, is that he doesn't become an asshole to everyone, like some Ra Yellows.
"Hmm, let me see. While 3 Polymerizations are good for this deck, it is extremely risky for me to have more than one thanks to Wolf's Dance and Lunalight Fusion, so I have to take out 2 of them. I only have to get one more card for my de-" her thoughts were interrupted when she heard a certain bluenette crying his eyes out.
She stood up from her seat and opened her door, only to see Jaden, still in the Slifer Red uniform, trying to get Syrus off of his shirt, "Get off of me, Sy! I missed you two, but this is ridiculous."
"Jaden? Why are you still here?" Jaden turned to his right as he saw the only female in the Slifer Red dorm looking at him.
Jaden got Syrus off of him for now, and looked at Celina, "Well, because this place is my home…despite the rat problem and the walls and the floor and the wood problems, but still my home! And they didn't have you guys!"
Celina only gave him a soft smile, "Well, it would be pretty boring without you."
Before Jaden could say anything else, Syrus hugged him again, catching him off guard that he fell out of the rails and onto the ground. Jaden groaned in pain as both Celina and Syrus got to him.
At Fonda's office
Syrus was bowing to Jaden, who was currently in a hospital bed with bandages on his head, "Please forgive me, Jay!"
Jaden only laughed at his friend's goofiness, "Nah it's fine, Sy. I know you don't mean no harm."
Syrus jumped out of his seat, "Really!? Thank you, Jay!" he ran to hug him, only for to be stopped when Fonda glared at him. He nodded his head as he went back to his seat.
Thankfully, Jaden wasn't in total pain. He was fine, but not in the head, so it will take him two weeks at the most to get out of the bed.
Celina chuckled, "It's good that he didn't go to Ra Yellow, it would have been way more boring without him."

Sorry for the wait, school has been kicking me harder than Gaara did to Rock Lee in the Chunin Exams.
For this chapter I decided to write in Celina's perspective this time around to challenge myself to not to copy everything word to word, but instead adding onto the scenes.
I decided to write Celina vs Syrus for the fun of it, because why not? Both of them are freshmen and are in Slifer Red, so they can duel each other.
Yes, Chazz will play ABC, but it won't be his main focus in this. I want to try to combine Light Union with another archetype like in the anime.
