Chapter 2 of 2 for today!

Wednesday, July 1, 1998

That morning, Hermione made her way to headquarters to show Narcissa the pictures of Scorpius from the ultrasound. When she opened the card with the pictures inside the older witch collapsed onto the couch behind her. "He's really in there?" she asked, rhetorically.

Hermione sank down next to her and laid her head on her shoulder. "I didn't have the honour of meeting your mother, but I know she'd be ecstatic to meet him."

Hermione let out a sniffle, "I feel like I'm leaving them behind. I'm not sure how they'll ever forgive me if we get them back."

"When, my dear," Narcissa said softly, "We'll do whatever it takes to get them back and then if they don't understand how your sacrifice was necessary, I'll straighten them out. And if I understand anything about them from your stories, nothing will keep them away from their Grandson or their daughter."

After a few moments of silence Narcissa patted Hermione on the back and sat her up. "So tell me more about this appointment, can I expect more pictures of my grandson?"

Hermione chuckled wetly, "Yes, every time we go in we'll get a new one, mostly because I know Draco and Theo will insist on it. Oh Narcissa, you should have seen them both, blubbering like babies. Dr. Lee really rolled with the punches and barely batted an eye when Theo started crying as well."

"I'm sure the Doctor has seen stranger things," Narcissa said with a laugh, "how big is Scorpius?"

"The size of a Prune!" Hermione said with a chuckle. "He sure acts like he's bigger than that though, he's always rolling around causing all sorts of havoc on my body. I don't think I've gone a full day without at least nausea for weeks!"

"Well I guess we'll have a Quidditch or Football star on our hands then," Narcissa said as she rubbed Hermione's belly.

"Y-you know about Football?" Hermione asked, tearing up, yet again.

"Andromeda and Harry have been giving me an education on all things Muggle. We thought you'd probably send the children to Muggle primary school and if I hope to be able to pick them up and not scar everyone for life I'd best be able to blend in! So far I'm most excited to shop! Andromeda showed me some fashion magazines and I have to say I'm quite interested in them. Tell me more about how you're settling in at Mitternacht and how your Tea went on Monday."
