Ever since it was announced that there would be the school duel, last week, almost every student was training themselves to get into the school duel and represent Duel Academy. Either by studying for the next test or dueling other students.
Well almost everyone, Zane didn't want to be in the school duel because he wanted to see how the new generation of Duelists would handle their duels without him, Syrus really didn't want to have such a big boulder in his shoulders, Chumley really didn't care for dueling, he would rather be an artist.
There were three students who were trying their best to succeed and represent; Bastion, Celina and Jaden.
Bastion was going through all of his decks, to his Chemical archetype to his Nepthys deck. He went through all of the calculations to see what will be the best deck to bring in the school duel and duel to be the representative.
Celina was going to the Card Shop, buying new packs for her deck, getting very good Traps and Spells, and the occasional Monster and she deck built her entire deck once again.
Jaden didn't have a strategy to be the best, he decided to duel more students like Dimitri and some Obelisk Blues while also getting new cards for his deck. He was the most relaxed out of any of the students that wanted to duel the best in North Academy.
This was going on for several days now and the teachers needed to pick a student. Each of the homeroom teachers, Banner, Satyr, Fonda and Crowler, had folders of the students from their dorm that would be the most likely to represent them. It was a meeting of all of the teachers, proctors, Sheppard and even Zane was there to discuss who would represent them.
"Now, then," started off Sheppard as he got everyone's attention, "We all know why we are here?" Everyone nodded, "Good. We need a student that would represent Duel Academy in our upcoming school duel." Marco raised his hand, "Yes, Professor Marco?"
"I don't want to sound rude here, but why is Truesdale here?" he pointed at Zane, who was close to the door, "Not that I mind of course, I am just curious."
Zane looked at the teacher, "I am here to inform all of you that I would decline the offer of being the representative. While it is interesting, I wanted to see how the juniours would handle this."
"WHAT?!" Crowler shrieked when he heard that, his best student, the pride of Duel Academy, The Kaiser of the school, didn't want to represent them?! All of the other students in Obelisk Blue were nothing, but chumps that had their ego up their asses. "You can't be serious!"
While the other teachers were shocked at the news, they understood what he meant by that, Satyr did mention that a first year Slifer was beating his first, second and third year Ras in a row. They wanted to see how the freshmen could handle this.
"Chancellor, please tell me he is joking!" yelled out Crowler as Sheppard laughed.
"No, he isn't. But there is something that even if Zane wanted to represent us, I couldn't accept." said Sheppard as everyone, other than Zane, looked at him.
"And that is?" asked Stein.
"They are using a first year student to represent them! I wanted to be fair with the duel so I would only accept first years from all of the dorms." explained Sheppard as the homeroom teachers took out most of the folders and they ended up with only 1 folder, only Banner had two folders, "So, I want to hear what students you would like to represent us."
Fonda began first, "I would like to see Alexis Rhodes represent us in the school duel. Her dueling style is very versatile in many ways and has enough ways to defeat her opponent, even during their turns with cards like Doble Passe. Not to mention it would be nice to see a Ritual focus deck user to represent us."
Sheppard nodded, understanding that the younger Rhodes sibling would be fantastic to represent them with her deck style, and she uses a deck that is similar to Cyber Style, but only in name, "I understand, you Satyr?"
Satyr cleared his throat, "I propose that Bastion Misawa should represent us. While he does the best marks in the first years, scoring A+ in almost every test he writes, his dueling style is no laughing matter. His versatility is something that could never be rivaled and it would be nice to see someone other than an Obelisk to represent us."
Sheppard nodded, Bastion was a smart guy, but his dueling style is extremely impressive with someone with 6 decks, one for each attribute and all of them have their advantages and disadvantages. He might even succeed in being a smarter Duelist than even the legendary Eiseinstein, but there was one problem with him. He lacked passion, he had power, but not that. He needs to think about that decision. He looked at Banner, who was petting Pharaoh, "What about you, Professor Banner?"
Banner stopped petting his cat as he took two folders, "Well the first one in my agenda is Celina Boyle. While she is in Slifer, her skills far surpass that of even some of that in third year Obelisks. Her deck style and dueling style are more offensive than defensive, but she has proven to be quite skillful and able to come back from a tough situation."
Sheppard once again nodded, while she does have a temper and does go on the, well, aggressive side of things, she is a smart duelist, able to use all of her resources for a powerful one turn kill. She might be the best one for the school duel, but he needs to hear the last option.
"And the last, but certainly not the least, Jaden Yuki," Zane narrowed his eyes while Crowler grimaced, "While his grades are the worst, compared to his peers, his dueling skills are some of the best most people haven't seen. He was able to defeat several Obelisks and Ras in under a couple of weeks. I'd say he would be the one to represent us in the school."
"Excellent choice, Professor Banner," said Sheppard as he looked at Zane, for an unbiased judge. "What do you think, Truesdale?"
Zane crossed his arms and closed his eyes, "While I do think any of them could work in any situation, I believe that the best course of action is to think who has the most skill, versatility and passion for the game, and I believe that the best one for this is Jade-"
"WAIT!" Everyone looked at Crowler ,who had a panicked face, he did not want that slacker to represent them in the school duel, he had to think something quick! "Is…isn't it a bit unfair to pick a student only because you think, and not because we saw them in a duel?" Everyone was interested, even Zane, "I mean, come on! Just think about when that slacker duels someone, and he loses against them! Wouldn't that be horrible for us?"
"Then what are you saying?" asked one of the proctors.
"I am saying that why we couldn't organize a duel to see who can represent us in the school duel!" Crowler picked up Satyr, Banner and Fonda's folders and placed them on Sheppard's desk, "Wouldn't that be ideal for all of the students? They get to see them duel, they can train to be stronger and we get a representative! Doesn't that sound like a good idea?"
Around the room, the teachers and proctors were whispering with each other if that sounded like a good idea, but they had to face the facts, that was a legitimately good idea from Crowler.
Sheppard clapped his hands together, "Great idea, Doctor Crowler! But there is one problem, with that I am afraid."
"What is it, Chancellor?" he asked.
"We can only get one duel. With all of these duel requests from the Slifers to the Obelisks, we can only get room for one duel in this entire month." Sheppard explained as Crowler nodded.
"That could be troublesome." agreed the Crowler and so did the rest of the staff, but Zane had an idea.
"If you don't have enough room for one more duel, how about a Four Way Tag Team Duel?" everyone turned to Zane, "Where if a team wins they can then duel each other to be the representative, or if it become 1, or much more. It can be interesting to see."
The staff looked at each other, before looking at Zane giving a nod that is honestly a pretty good choice and idea. "Excellent idea, once again, Truesdale! You may now go to your class." Zane nodded as he walked out of the staff room, "It is decided. It will be a Four Way Tag Team, but who will be on which team?"
"Slifer Reds versus Ra Yellow and Obelisk Blue?" suggested Banner.
"Slifer Red and Ra Yellow versus Slifer Red and Obelisk Blue?" suggested Satyr.
"Oh don't worry, gentlemen, I will decide who will be in which team. Now if you excuse me, I have a class to teach." said Crowler as he walked off the staff room while Sheppard informed him, "Don't forget to inform them that it will take place a week later!" Crowler nodded as he walked off. He had a perfect idea! He will either have Bastion, Celina or Alexis take down that slacker Jaden.
But who will be dueling with him? Celina is a no-go for his duel partner, since those two deck styles will be meshed like peanut butter and jam. Alexis will most likely be a fantastic duel partner for him, since both of them could be both defensive and offensive. It only leaves one option; Bastion Misawa and Jaden Yuki versus Celina Boyle and Alexis Rhodes.
Bastion and Jaden's decks would not mesh at all, since Bastion will make a defensive style deck to protect him and Jaden, but their opponents would beat them down due to not having a way to finish their Ritual and Fusion monsters.
Alexis and Celina's decks, on the other hand, will mesh 100% since their decks are so powerful it could destroy both Jaden and Bastion on their second turn. Not to mention, Celina knows Jaden's moves better than anyone since they do live in the same dorm, so she would know his strategies!
"This is perfect!" Crowler thought as he started laughing maniacally as he walked into his classroom, to stop his laughter.
"Good morning class! I have an announcement for the school duel against North Academy!" Everyone looked at Crowler, even Jaden woke up from his nap, "The staff, Sheppard and I have decided to have a duel between four students to represent us in the school. And not just any duel, a Four Way Tag Team Duel!" Most of the students gasped, while Syrus looked confused. Bastion raised his hand, "Yes?"
"Why do we have a Tag Team duel to see who should represent us?" Bastion asked, "Shouldn't there be a mini tournament?"
"While yes that would make sense to do that, our problem is that, we need to fill so many duel requests that we only have time for 1 duel." Bastion nodded as he leaned in. "Now then, if I may continue, of the four students that will represent us, please stand up."
Crowler cleared his throat, "Bastion Misawa." The Ra Yellow stood up, "Alexis Rhodes." The female Obelisk Blue stood up, "Celina Boyle." Crowler ignored a "YEAH!" from the Slifer Red female as she stood up. "And finally," Crowler sighed, "Jaden Yuki." Jaden jumped to his feet, giving Celina a high five, as he did that.
Crowler rubbed his eyes as he looked at the idiot that was currently doing a little dance as his name was called out, "Alright, before you can go off and choose your duel partner, I- I mean the staff has decided on the teams." Crowler cleared his throat once again as the students leaned in, "Jaden Yuki and Bastion Misawa will be on Team 1." Jaden looked at Bastion, as the Ra Yellow returned the favour, "Celina Boyle and Alexis Rhodes will be on Team 2." Alexis looked at Celina, but the Slifer Red returned with a grin, to which made the Obelisk grin as well.
"In the next hours we will share the rules of the Tag Team Duel, so don't worry about the rules. It will happen in about a week, so please study well for the duel, my students!" said Crowler as he then started his lecture.
A Little While Later
After all of the classes were finished, Jaden, Syrus and Bastion headed to the Ra Yellow dorm while Alexis and Celina are going to the Obelisk Blue dorm for girls. Celina rubbed her forehead, "So, he dueled a guy that stole Yugi's deck."
"Yep." answered Alexis as they started walking towards the dorm, ready to discuss on how they can defeat their tag team opponents. Currently they are talking about stories about this crazy school. "I still can't believe that we are gonna be duel partners next week."
"Yeah, same. I always wanted to be in the school duel, but never thought I would actually participate in it, y'know?" Alexis nodded to what she meant, "But right now, I can't wait to see how Obelisk Blue dorm is like since I saw both Ra and Yellow."
"Wait, you were in Ra Yellow dorm?" Alexis asked.
"Oh, yeah. When Bastion asked if we wanted to help him with his room. It looked like an actual house, and the food was delicious." Celina admitted as Alexis nodded her head.
"Right, that's good to know. Although, I am curious. Have you heard that the Obelisk Blue dorm looks like a castle?" asked Alexis as Celina was confused, but answered it by a nod. "Well, one of the good things about it is that it's actually true!"
They stood at the entrance of the Obelisk Blue Dorm, for girls, and the place looked absolutely beautiful. The building looked more like a castle than anything, that was coloured by the shiniest colour of white. On the backside, you could see a beautiful sight of the lake on the island. On the roof were blue tiles.
Even inside it was something out of a Disney movie. The floors were cleaner than a boy's internet history. There was a whole ass fountain in the middle of the floor. A golden statue of Obelisk. Pillars that were made out of silver. Some flowers inside! A spa on the left! A cafeteria on the right! This place took all off the budget of all of the other dorms combined.
Some Obelisks gave Celina the stink eye, and whispered behind her back, making Alexis nervous for her and angry at them But that didn't stop her from enjoying the place. She looked at Alexis, "I kinda regret being a Slifer Red. This is so much better!"
Alexis chuckled at her reaction, "Me too, your company is way more enjoyable than that of the Obelisk Blues. I mean I love Jazz and Mindy, don't get me wrong, but they can be so annoying sometimes."
"I understand and I would have been here if it weren't for that terrible uniform." Celina made a disgusted look as she looked at the uniform once again, and Alexis nodded to that, it really is a terrible uniform.
"Yeah, I totally agree with you on that. These are incredibly uncomfortable to wear." agreed Alexis as they went to her room to discuss their ideas to defeat both Bastion and Jaden.
She opened the room and it then shined brighter than a star. It was beautiful, not on the scale of the ocean view, but still a beautiful look at the lake. There was a desk with a laptop, to which Celina figured out it was on it before Alexis even came here, a couch that looked soft as a pillow and a TV that was the size of a human, she later found out this was normal to all of the Obelisk Blue students; both male and female.
At first she regretted not joining here, but then she remembered the uniform, so all is good. "Where are we going to study our decks and then there's? On the couch or the bed?"
Alexis pointed at her bed, "Why not at the bed?" Celina shrugged her shoulders as she sat on the bed, the thing felt like clouds, or cotton candy, or like a pile bunnies, so she slumped down at the bed for a good minute. "Are you okay?"
Celina looked at her, "Oh yeah, I am just relaxing on these comfortable beds. Don't mind me."
"Celina, we need to look at our decks so we can discuss our plan." she said as the Slifer Red groaned, but obliged, taking out a deck from her belt and spreading it on the bed, and the Obelisk Blue did the same thing. They decided it was a good time to study their decks and their playstyle.
Meanwhile At The Ra Yellow Dorm
Jaden and Bastion, with Syrus buddying with them, placed their stuff on the floor of Bastion's room, and it was cleaner than the last time they were there. His windows, his floor, the roof, the walls were clean. He even got himself a computer!
"Jay, why didn't you stay here? It's a better living style than ours." said Syrus as he looked at Jaden.
The brunette looked at the shorter Slifer, "C'mon, Sy, you know the reason. Are you gonna ask me that question every time we are here?" Syrus avoided eye contact.
Bastion clapped his hands together, "Alright, now that we are here, we must discuss our plans on beating both of them." said Bastion as he took out his six decks from his jacket and puts them all down on his bed, he patted the closest part to him on his bed, "Come on. We need to see your deck in full so we can figure out our best chances of beating them."
"What about me?" asked Syrus as Bastion thought for a moment. While he didn't need to be here, he didn't want to kick them out, it would be rude and he knew he wanted to help.
He snapped his fingers, "Can you get us some pop, or sodas, from the cafeteria? I would like an Ice Tea and you can take anything you want, my treat."
Jaden looked at Syrus, "Oh, can you get me a Hell, Sy?" the shorter Slifer stood up and nodded, "Thanks!" Syrus walked out of the room to get them a drink so they can study.
Bastion looked at Jaden, "Alright, I would like to see your deck and Extra deck so we can see how we would make it work." Jaden nodded as he took out his deck from his belt and handed it to the Ra Yellow, but the Extra Deck was too heavy for him, "Jad-en how many cards do you have in your deck?"
"My normal deck or Extra deck?" Bastion yelled out "Both!", he thought about it for a second, before answering, "About 30 Extra Deck monsters," Bastion's eyes widened, "A 60 card Hero deck and like 24 Side Deck cards. Why?"
Bastion put the cards down on the bed, "Those cards weighed about 5 kilograms! How is he still alive!?" he thought as he looked him in the eyes, "Why do you have an Extra Deck that big!? I understand having a 60 card deck with some Side decking, but this is just ridiculous, incomprehensible , illogical!" He breathed in and out, "Sorry for my little outburst."
Jaden returned with a smile on his face, "Nah, it's cool. I know you didn't mean those words, even if I didn't know what they meant." he muttered that last part so Bastion couldn't hear it.
"Alright, how about we start thi-" the door was opened, by Syrus who held an Ice Tea and a Coke in one of his hands, and on the other was a Hell Energy Drink. "Here you go, Bastion and Jay!" He said as he handed the drinks to the duel partners.
Bastion took a sip of his drink while Jaden chugged his drink down in a matter of seconds and threw it outside, right inside of the recycling bin. "Alright, let's begin!"
After a few hours of strategizing and pointing out flaws in their decks from both sides. Celina and Alexis found out that both of their decks are offensive and both have great ways of getting their resources back in their hands and could make tough boards that could wipe most opponents in a matter of seconds during their Battle Phase, but they decided to add some Traps and Spells to either gain advantage in life points or in cards, or cards that manipulate the Battle Phase.
Jaden and Bastion found that Bastion's Water and Earth decks are perfect fo duels, but not o duels. His Wind deck is great at creating advantages of destroying themselves, but not his duel partners' deck. His Light Deck is good for negating his opponents, but it comes to a risk of negating his duel partner's plays, and his Dark deck would not work with Jaden's deck, he really needed to find a better Dark deck. That left his Fire deck, a burn deck.
Unknown to both of the teams, but both Bastion and Alexis have cards that could negate and destroy Fusion monsters with only a mere Trap, Spell or even a Monster card, but the only downside, which was a heavy one, is that if they stop their partners from playing Fusion monsters, and if they do draw into those cards, they would be dead wait for not making any plays.
Meanwhile, Syrus was on the floor, scrolling down Instagram and watching some Anime, asking every hour if they needed help.
As then, from all of their PDAs there was a message from Doctor Crowler that said:
Hello duelists,
I would like to thank you for participating to see who will duel in the school. We can't wait to see what both teams will do in the duel. In this message here are the rules for this type of duel:
All players have their own 4000 life points, hand, field and graveyard.
Duelists are allowed to attack during the second turn of the duel, however you can not attack duelists that haven't had their turns yet.
Duelists are allowed to use cards on their partner's side of the field, graveyard and hand if they give permission.
All duelists will get 1 turn per round. Team 1 Player 1 goes first, Team 2 Player 1 goes second, Team 1 Player 2 goes third, Team 2 Player 2 goes fourth, and then it goes full circle.
If a duelist deals effect damage, both players lose life points, unless it targets a specific side of the field.
When a teammate is down, the other player is allowed to continue on the duel while having 2 turns per round.
If the entire team is defeated, it then turns int between all of the duelists of one team with the field, graveyard, life points and hand stay the same.
When you are the last person standing, you won the duel and will be the representative of the school duel against North Academy.

From Doctor Vellian Crowler
As the duelists read all of the rules, and understood the rules, they put the PDAs down and took the cards back into their deck boxes. "Alright, I think we should relax for today and start our training tomorrow," said Celina and Bastion, unknowingly, at the same time as they looked at Alexis/Jaden, "What should we do at that time?"
Alexis shrugged, "Wanna go to the hot springs?" It was pretty much all that it took to make Celina jump out of that bed and go to the hot springs, it would be her first time there.
Alexis only chuckled on the Slifer Red.
Back at Ra Yellow Dorm, Jaden shrugged his shoulders as he looked at Bastion, "Want to watch some anime?"
Bastion looked at the Slifer Reds, before nodding. He went to the computer with the two Slifers following him and began watching some anime.
A Week Later
In the following week, both duel teams decided to buy more packs from the Card Shop, changed their decks into a more powerful decks, added some staples like Pot Of Greed, Pot Of Avarice and so much more, not to mention they looked into guides on how to make their decks way more powerful.
They then decided to try their decks out by challenging other duelists at the same time, to see how they decks could match up. For Jaden and Bastion, they dueled duelists like Syrus and Chumley, Brier and Dimitri, and for Celina and Alexis, they dueled Jasmine and Mindy, Torrey and Damon and so much more.
As then they also took breaks from time to time, by watching anime, which Celina found out Alexis loved watching My Hero, while the Slifer duo found out that Bastion watched shows that educated you, like Cells At Work, as well as playing some board games like Uno.
But right now, every student, from Slifers to Obelisks, from juniors to seniors, and even the teachers were at the Duel Arena, ready to see who will represent Duel Academy in the annual school duel with one of the four Academies.
Syrus and Chumley sat down next to each other, waving a 'TEAM JADEN' flag, while sitting with some Ras that waved a 'TEAM BASTION' flag, and some Obelisks and Slifers that waved either 'TEAM ALEXIS' flag or 'TEAM CELINA' flag.
Zane was on the rails with his eyes narrowed at the Duel Arena seeing the 4 students ready for the duel, with Honest appearing next to him with his arms crossed. He looked at Zane first and then at the duelists.
Doctor Crowler was on the middle, just like the expulsion duel, ready to introduce the duelists. He cleared his throat, "Alright! May I please have your attention!" Everyone looked at him as he pushed his mic close to his mouth, "Thank you! Now let me introduce all of the duelists for this Four Way Tag Team duel!"
All of the duelists went to the stage as Crowler threw his hands at the first team, "On the right corner we have Celina and Alexis!" The crowd cheered as they were introduced, "And on the left corner we have Bastion and…some kid." Everyone fell anime style, even the ones that were cheering for the other students.
"He will never not hate me, will he?" Jaden said as he got up and looked at Bastion who shrugged.
"Don't know, but are you ready to put our brains and brawn against them?"
"Like the colour?" Bastion facepalmed at that, and when Celina and Alexis got up, so did they facepalm at Jaden's question.
"Seriously, how did he get in?" asked Celina as she looked at her duel partner.
"I…don't know." said Alexis.
Crowler then cleared his throat, again to catch their attention, "Alright, is everyone ready for the duel?" the duelists nodded as they got their decks out and placed them into their duel disks, "Good! Now, let the duel begin!" yelled Crowler as he ran away from the Duel Arena and up the stands so he doesn't get hit by any of the attacks like the last time.
Celina, Alexis and Bastion all then yelled, "Duel!" while Jaden yelled a "Get your game on!"
Celina: 4000 lp
Alexis: 4000 lp

Bastion: 4000 lp
Turn 1.
"I'll take the first move!" yelled out Celina as she drew her first card. She looked at her hand, she had two cards perfect against them, but the rest didn't really have some to this card so she decided to make a decent first move, "I summon Lunalight Crimson Fox!" a red feminine fox was summoned onto the field.
(Lunalight Crimson Fox: Level 4 - Dark Beast-Warrior - Attack: 1800. Defense: 300.)
She then took 2 cards from her hand, "I end my turn with two face downs!" two cards were set vertically behind the crimson fox.
Turn 2.
Bastion looked at his duel partner, "Do you mind if I make the first move?"
"No, of course not! Go ahead!" Jaden allowed Bastion to make his first move.
Bastion nodded as he drew his card. He then activated a card from his hand, "I activate the Spell card, Level Burn! This card allows one of us to discard one monster from our hands and it deals damage 100x per level! Jaden, if you would please."
"Right on, man!" Jaden took out a card from his hand, and then fire appeared onto the field. It was the shape of his Dark Hero, Necroshade! The Hero made out of Fire went towards the two duelists and hit them, making them take the first damage of the duel.
Celina: 4000 - 3500 life points
Alexis: 4000 - 3500 life points
"Way to go you two!" cheered Syrus as Chumley waved the flag.
"Don't think, that was it! It was mere practice as I summon Volcanic Slicer!" from Bastion's side of the field appeared a golden dinosaur with heat coming out of its mouth. From the little parts that it had space, it also had magma on it.
(Volcanic Slicer: Level 4 - Fire Pyro - Attack: 1800. Defense: 1200.)
"Volcanics?!" yelled out Celina as she remembered losing, a lot of times, to a friend that went to the west with his mom and dad a couple of years ago, who played Volcanics. "I forgot most of the cards, but I do remember their play style." she then looked at her field and her two facedown cards, "I would like to activate them, but I need to save them if they are gonna bring out that card so early."
Alexis turned to her duel partner, "You know the cards?" she asked.
"Yes, and I know their play style. They are a deck that loves to take out monsters with a Spell card, deal damage and summon their boss monster by sacrificing said Spell." she explained as Alexis noted all of the information and looked at her hand and saw a Trap that can help with this.
"That's right." Bastion nodded, "I would like to attack Alexis directly, but due to the rules, I can not. So I am activating Slicer's effect! It can deal 500 points of damage, but I can not attack the turn I activate this effect! Here comes the heat!" Slicer nodded as the dinosaur shot a blast of magma at the two duelists.
Celina: 3500 - 3000 life points
Alexis: 3500 - 3000 life points
Jaden turned towards Bastion, "Nice move there, and not a bad pun! You're getting good at those." he admitted.
"Thank you."Bastion then took a card from his hand, "I set a card facedown. Your move." a card was set vertically behind the Volcanic monster.
Turn 3. Alexis - 3000 lp - 5 cards
Right at the bat, Bastion dealt 1000 points of damage without attacking and still following the rules, but that won't stop Alexis from trying to stop him. She drew her card. She smiled as she placed the newly drawn card, "I summon Cyber Gymnast in attack mode!"
Behind the Obelisk Blue student, a woman with a decent tan and decent build jumped to the Duel Arena. She wore black leggings and a tank top-like armour. She also had a white mask that covered her eyes. She had a yellow pony tail down to her legs.
(Cyber Gymnast: Level 4 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 800. Defense: 1800.)
"Her effect kicks in! By discarding a card," Alexis did so, "and then I can destroy one monster in attack position!"
"What?!" yelled both Jaden and Bastion, as Celina and the crowd cheered as Cyber Gymnast went ahead and kicked the Slicer, destroying it with one hit.
"And you know the best part? I can still attack, due to that being her ability! So go ahead, Cyber Gymnast!" The monster nodded at the command as she went in, and roundhouse kicked Bastion on the head.
Jaden: 4000 lp
Bastion: 4000 - 3200 life points
"Are you okay, Bastion?!" yelled out Jaden as Bastion nodded, making him sigh in relief.
"Oh he won't be okay for long," Alexis took a card from her hand, "You can go after I set my card facedown." a card was set vertically behind Cyber Gymnast.
Turn 4. Jaden - 4000 lp - 4 cards
Despite Jaden being the only one here that has 4000 life points, he knew that this wasn't an advantage. For starters, they had 3 facedowns, while Bastion had 1 and they had 2 monsters on the field, while they had none. If that wasn't bad enough, the cards in his hands were good, but not enough to destroy Celina's Crimson Fox, but if he did destroy that monster, he had to fight Alexis' Cyber Gymnast. This was tough for the Slifer Red.
He drew his card and looked at it, he smiled. "When I have Necroshade in my graveyard thanks to Bastion's Level Burn, I can summon one of his buddies to the field," Necroshade appeared behind the brunette, "So come out the golden Hero, Bladedge!"
From the ground up, flew up a golden hero with blades sharp enough to cut any steal.
(Elemental HERO Bladedge: Level 7 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 2600. Defense: 1800.)
Celina shot up, it was now or never, "Not so fast, I activate the Trap, Ring Of Destruction!" The audience gasped as a ring with grenades appeared onto Bladedge's neck, "This card destroys a monster on your side of the field and deals you damage for its attack points, but we won't take it when I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Ring Of Defense!" A ring with green wall-like shields appeared in front of Celina and Alexis, "This card protects us from effect damage from Trap Cards!"
Bastion looked over towards Jaden, to see if he has a plan, but thankfully, he pulled out a card from his hand, "Nice try, but that won't happen when I activate the Quick-Play Spell of my own, Mystic Wok!" a wok appeared onto the field, big enough for Bladedge to drop into it, destroying Ring Of Destruction, "I sacrifice one monster on my side of the field so I gain life points equal to either its attack points or defense points!"
"Excellent maneuver, for I chain the last move with Chain Strike! This card deals damage equal to the amount of chainlinks times 400 when I activate this Spell, and unfortunately for you, it's a Spell, not a Trap!" Bastion exclaimed as chains appeared out of the Spell card.
First Chain Strike shot against Celina and Alexis, then Mystic Wok made the Earth Hero disappear, then Ring Of Defense began, but it didn't work since it wasn't a Trap and, finally, Ring Of Destruction disappeared since its target disappeared before the Trap worked.
Celina: 3000 - 1400 life points
Alexis: 3000 - 1400 life points
Jaden: 4000 - 6600 life points
Bastion: 3200 lp
The audience roared with cheers from Team Jaden and Team Bastion, while Team Celina and Team Alexis tensed up at the moment, not wanting this to happen. Zane nodded at the moment, while Honest adding, "Impressive teamwork coming from their parts. Utilizing Spells from both sides to make them have the upper hand in the moment."
Zane nodded once again, "Right, but I wouldn't count them out yet, the duel has only started."
"Hey, Zane, who are you talki-" asked a random Obelisk Blue, but was then glared at by the Kaiser of Duel Academy.
Jaden grinned at his work, but that was the best he could do, for now, but it wouldn't hurt him to try to destroy one of the monsters, "I summon the electric hero himself, Sparkman!" The blue clad wearing electric hero appeared onto the field.
(Elemental HERO Sparkman: Level 4 - Light Warrior - Attack: 1600. Defense: 1400.)
"And now, I will attack your Cyber Gymnast with Static Shockwave!" yelled out Jaden as from Sparkman's hands, electricity appeared from its hand and it shot at Alexis' only monster, but for some reason she smirked.
"Why, thank you. I activate the Trap, Draining Shield!" a barrier appeared onto Alexis' monster, as it absorbed all of the attacks, "Remember this card? Well, thanks to it, I negate one attack and I gain life points equal to the attack!"
"Nice one, Alexis!" cheered Celina as the crowd went crazy.
Alexis: 1400 - 3000 life point
Celina: 1400 lp
"Marvelous." muttered Bastion, "She regained life points that I dealt to her with my card. This will be more difficult than I thought."
"That was a sweet move, Lex!" Jaden then looked at his hand and took one of them, "I throw down a face down and that's it." a card was set vertically behind Light Hero.
Turn 5. Celina - 1400 lp - 3 cards
Celina drew her card, trying to get some payback at him, for losing over half of her life points. She grinned, "I activate the Spell card, Lunalight Restoration Dance! I send one Lunalight monster from my hand," she sends her Lunalight Wolf to the graveyard, "And I regain life points equal to her attack points!"
"Ahh man, Jay and Bastion just got rid of those life points!"
"This is so not lischus!" yelled out both Syrus and Chumley.
Celina: 1400 - 3400 life points
Alexis: 3000 lp
"And I am not done with that, I activate my newly drawn card, Fusion Birth!" Bastion's eyes widened at the name of the card, "I send the top 5 cards from my deck to my graveyard," she did so, "and if any of them were monsters that I could use for a Fusion summon, I can use them for it!"
She then revealed the cards she sent; Polymerization, Fusion Recovery, Lunalight Maroon Mosquito, Pot Of Avarice and Lunalight Blue Cat. She can use Fusion summon 1 monster, but better than nothing, "I fuse Lunalight Maroon Mosquito and Lunalight Blue Cat so I can Fusion summon!"
A feminine blue cat and a maroon coloured feminine mosquito were summoned onto the field, before being sucked in a Pink-Blue Spiral Vortex. From the Vortex came out a monster that was like a tiger with its paws and fur being coloured in like a tiger that was an feminine as the Cat and Panther Dancer. She wore a bright red dress, with orange leggings, and bright white hair down to her legs and light blue bra. She did not in fact wear a weapon, but used her claws as her weapon. She wore a dark blue face mask that covered her eyes. On her shoulders, she had a Moon like tattoo. "Pounce on your enemies, Lunalight Tiger Dancer!"

Bastion raised his eyebrow at the newly summoned monster, "Why wouldn't she summon Cat Dancer? Cat Dancer would have done the same effect with a bigger attack. Unless…" Bastion's eyes widened at the thought.
"When Tiger Dancer is summoned onto the field, she gains half of the attack points of all of her Fusion Materials until the End Phase." explained Alexis, as Celina nodded as she pointed at her new Fusion monster.
Lunalight Maroon Mosquito: 1700 attack points/2= 850 attack points
Lunalight Blue Cat: 1600 attack points/2= 800 attack points
Lunalight Tiger Dancer: 2000 + 800 + 850 = 3650 attack points
"Dear lord!" yelled a random Slifer Red.
"Don't forget that she can attack twice per turn! Now attack Bastion directly with Daytime Tiger!" Tiger Dancer nodded as she went towards Bastion for a quick kick, but Jaden wouldn't let that slide.
"Oh no, you don't! I activate the Trap Card, Hero Barrier!" Jaden played his set card as a barrier appeared in front of Bastion, "This card negates one attack when I control a Hero monster!"
"A splendid save, Jaden!" Bastion thanked his duel partner.
"No worries." Jaden rubbed his nose.
Celina thought for her next move, while yes, it would be more smart to attack Bastion and attack Jaden later, the Slifer Red was always there for a comeback, and he would have way more life points than them. So Celina opted to go for a little attack, "Lunalight Crimson Fox will attack Bastion directly, while Tiger Dancer will destroy Sparkman!"
Tiger Dancer ran towards the Light Hero monster and kicked it out of stage, the same place where Crowler would have been if he didn't jump into the stands, while the fox kicked Bastion on his face, leaving a small bruise.
Jaden: 6600 - 4550 life points
Bastion: 3200 - 1400 life points
The crowd went crazy, as they lost pretty much all of their defense, but they wouldn't give up that easily, "I end my turn with a facedown." a card was set vertically behind the Tiger Dancer and Crimson Fox.
Lunalight Tiger Dancer: 3650 - 2000 attack points
Turn 6. Bastion - 1400 lp - 3 cards
Bastion rubbed his cheek as he drew his next card, he needed to get rid of all of these monsters, and he got a perfect card for the job, "Like someone would say, we need some firepower so I summon Volcanic Rocket in attack mode!"
From the skies above flew down a rocket made out of gold material with magma inside of the between parts of the body.
(Volcanic Rocket: Level 4 - Fire Pyro - Attack: 1900. Defense: 1400.)
Bastion then pointed out, "Now the special ability of my newly summoned monster activates! I can add a Blaze Accelerator card from my deck to my hand!" Bastion took out his deck, took out his Continuous Spell card and put his deck back, "And I'll activate it!"
A tripod appeared onto the field which on the top, looked like a camera, but in fact it was a gun that looked like a camera.
Bastion pointed out, "If I activate this card's effect, I am prohibited from attacking this turn, but that is a price that I am going to pay." He took out a card from his hand, "By sending a Pyro type monster from my hand to the graveyard with 500 or lower attacking power, I can destroy 1 monster on your side of the field! I send Volcanic Counter!"
He then pointed at Lunalight Crimson Fox, as then a dog like monster made out of golden material, with magma all around the missing parts of the body appeared, only to go into the Blaze Accelerator and then shot it at the feminine fox, destroying it. Team Bastion cheered like hell, while Team Celina cheered her on, making everyone dueling and the ones cheering for the other people sweatdrop.
"The best part of my Spell card is that it is not once per turn." said Bastion as Jaden nodded with a smile on his face.
"It is not?!"
"Crap, I forgot about that part!" yelled both Alexis and Celina at the same part.
"Oh yes it is, I send Volcanic Scattershot to the graveyard, so I will destroy the Lunalight Tiger Dancer!" Bastion sent a card to his graveyard, as then a metallic lizard with three heads, on fire, appeared onto the field, went inside of the Blaze Accelerator and then shot at the Lunalight Fusion monster, but Celina had a different idea.
A card appeared onto Celina's graveyard to which she took it, "You forgot the graveyard ability of Lunalight Crimson Fox! I banish it, so I can negate one effect that targets my Lunalight monster, but we all gain 1000 life points!"
Crimson Fox appeared as an astral image, only to kick the Scattershot and send it flying to the roof of the Dueling Arena, making an explosion.
Celina: 3400 - 4400 life points
Alexis: 3000 - 4000 life points
Jaden: 4550 - 5550 life points
Bastion: 1400 - 2400 life points
Just like that, their life point situation has changed. What started off as them having more life points, they gained the upper hand in a short time that is quite impressive, but shouldn't lose focus, "Impressive, but can it stop Scattershot's first effect? When it is sent to the graveyard, you lose 500 life points!"
A fire ball appeared out of Bation's graveyard, only to split apart and shoot it at the two duelists.
Celina: 4400 - 3900 life points
Alexis: 4000 - 3500 life points
"We are still standing!" yelled out Alexis, but something about their expression's rubbed both of them the wrong way.
"True, but Bastion, what is their other effect?" spoke out Jaden, in a way that just sounded wrong as he looked at his duel partner, who had a grin on his face.
"Oh, to answer your question, Jaden my friend, when it is sent to the graveyard due to the effect of Blaze Accelerator I can send the other two copies from my deck," he took out his deck, sent two cards to the graveyard and returned the deck to the duel disk. "And when that happens, all of your monsters are destroyed and due to the effects of the other two copies of Scattershots, you also lose 1000 life points!"
The two duelists widened, but Celina had to act quick, "I activate Lunalight Maroon Mosquito's effect! When I would have taken effect damage, and in this case also my duel partner, I can banish it, and we gain those life points! And when I chain on destruction of my Lunalight Tiger Dancer, a Trap card, known as Lunalight Resurrection Dance! I can add two Lunalight monsters from my deck to my hand when a Lunalight monster is destroyed!"
"Great move out there, Celina!" yelled Alexis, as two Scattershots appeared from Bastion's graveyard and destroyed all of their monsters, and tried to attack them, but failed due to a maroon coloured mosquito. As then Celina took two cards from her deck, when her monster was destroyed.
Celina: 3900 - 4900 life points
Alexis: 3500 - 4500 life points
"Okay," breathed Jaden, "I am getting tired of those life points of gaining cards."
"Says the guy that has the highest life point counter and has only been attacked once." pointed out Celina.
"...Touchy."
"IT'S TOUCHE!" everyone yelled out.
Bastion sighed as he took a card from his hand, "I pass the turn to you, Alexis, by setting a card facedown." a card was set vertically behind Volcanic Rocket.
Turn 7. Alexis - 4500 lp - 3 cards
Alexis drew her card, and then she saw a perfect combo to defeat Bastion, but first she needed her Rituals in her hand, "I'll start my turn, by summoning Cyber Egg Angel!" Onto her turn, a small green egg with wings appeared onto the field, and it looked like it was about to crack.
(Cyber Egg Angel: Level 2 - Light Fairy - Attack: 200. Defense: 300.)
She then pointed at her newly summoned, "Thanks to her effect, when she is summoned onto the field, I can add a Ritual Machine Angel Spell card from my deck to my hand." Alexis took out her deck, took a Spell card and returned it. "Before I can activate it, I will revive my monster thanks to the card, Monster Reborn!"
From her graveyard came a card, to which she took it, "I revive Cyber Angel Idaten!" She placed it on her duel disk, and then a monster with a tight pink suit was summoned onto the field. She had long red hair, a clear white dress around her hips, red gloves and yellow eyes. Around her legs, chest and muscles, she wore a black tight suit.

"When she is summoned onto the field, I can add a Spell card from my graveyard," Alexis took out a card from her graveyard, and revealed it. It was her Monster Reborn, but she would save it for later, but then she took a card from her hand, "Since my partner was able to summon a new monster, how about I show you mine? I activate Machine Angel Ritual! I use Cyber Angel Idaten and Cyber Egg Angel so I can Ritual summon!"
A statue appeared onto the field, and Idaten and Egg Angel jumped into it for the Ritual for the summon. The statue began shaking, as parts of it began breaking, but then all of it broke into a new monster. The angel had light blue skin with two extra arms. In two of those hands, each had a sword while two of them wielded a staff. She wore an orange armour and wore a dark blue gauntlet on each of her arms. She wore a dark blue and yellow skin suit on her legs and had long dark yellow hair. "Come out, Cyber Angel Dakini!"

"Way to go Lex!" cheered both Jasmine and Mindy at the same time.
Alexis smiled, "When she is summoned onto the field, I can destroy one monster on your side of the field." Both Jaden and Bastion knew this, they didn't need to be rocket scientist to realize that she was going after his Volcanic Rocket, since it was the only monster on their side of the field. Cyber Angel Dakini went ahead, and slashed the metallic rocket into pieces. But Bastion had a way around this.
"I activate the graveyard effect of Level Burn! When a monster is destroyed by an effect, I gain the same amount of attack points as the destroyed monster!" he yelled as he took out the Spell card from his graveyard.
Jaden: 5550 lp
Bastion: 2400 - 4300 life points
"Now all of them have over 4000 life points!" yelled Syrus.
"This is so lischus!" yelled Chumley.
"Like that matters, you're still wide open!" yelled Celina.
"Right, you are, Celina. Go, Dakini attack Bastion directly!" The Ritual monster nodded as she went towards and slashed him with her two swords and hit him with her staff with all of her might, making the Ra Yellow stammer.
Jaden: 5550 lp
Bastion: 4300 - 1600 life points
"Bastion!" yelled all of the Ras, and Jaden, "Are you alright!?"
Bastion returned with a grin, "Why yes I am, and I shall thank you for the generous attack there, since you attacked me and dealt damage, I can activate from my graveyard, Volcanic Counter!" He said as he took the card and a Scattershot out of his graveyard, "When I would take damage from an attack, while this card is in my graveyard, I can banish it and a fellow Fire type monster from my graveyard, so I can deal damage equal to the amount that I took!"
"What!?" yelled their two opponents as Counter appeared in front of Bastion and attacked Alexis.
Celina: 4900 lp
Alexis: 4500 - 1800 life points
"Now, that's what I call a comeback!" yelled Jaden as Celina was worried for her partner, but a grin appeared onto her face.
"Not bad," she wiped her mouth. "I end my turn."
Turn 8. Jaden - 5550 lp - 1 card
Jaden was really in a pickle here, in his hand, he had Card Of Compensation, a useful card when sent to the graveyard, but not a card he needed right now. He needs to draw the right card, or else he and Bastion are finished. Either a Trap that stops them, or a card that helps him Fusion summon. Anything really.
So he drew his card and opened his eyes, and smiled. "Perfect!" he thought as he inserted the card in his duel disk, "I guess it's time to do something about your monsters, huh? I activate the Spell, Double Spell!" The crowd gasped as Zane leaned in, "I send 1 Spell from my hand to the graveyard, so I can activate a Spell that my opponent used!" he did so, "Now which card shall I choose? Oh I know, Fusion Birth!"
A card from Celina's graveyard flew to Jaden's hand, but he wasn't finished, "When Card Of Compensation is sent to the graveyard, I get to draw two cards!" he did so as he inserted Celina's card into his duel disk, "Now time for me to Fusion! I can now send 5 cards, and I can then Fusion summon!"
He did so and the cards he sent to the graveyard were: Elemental HERO Avian, Pot Of Greed, Insurance, Transcendent Wing and Elemental HERO Clayman. Better than nothing. "I fuse my Avian and Clayman so I can Fusion summon!" His feather hero and hero made out of clay appeared onto the field, only for it to be sucked into a Pink-Blue Spiral Vortex.
From the Vortex came out a Hero with Clayman's type of body, but was covered by quills, feathers and was way more slimmer than the Earth Hero, it then posed in a X position. It was a new Hero monster! "I summon the Hero that combines both speed and defense, Elemental Hero Feather Giant!"

The crowd went wild as they saw a new Hero fusion that they have never seen before, but the weird thing is, its defense took all of the stats, but the monster looked like it could have some of the attack stat. What they don't know, not even the ones that were dueling right now, it was perfect for this situation.
Jaden thought about it for a while, sure it would be more logical, hey a new word to his vocabulary, to attack Celina while she is wide open, the defense would be cut half if he would attack directly, so he decided to go after Alexis, "Feather Giant can attack while its in defense mode, but his defense is treated as his attack stat so here we go! Attack with Feather Slash!"
The Wind Fusion Hero went ahead and decided to sucker punch Dakini, but the Obelisk Blue won't let that slide, "Nice try, Jaden! But I banish Machine Angel Ritual from my graveyard, to negate the destruction!"
"Yeah, but you still take the damage!" Jaden yelled as Feather Giant smacked Dakini in her face, but it wasn't enough to destroy the powerful Ritual monster.
Celina: 4900 lp
Alexis: 1800 - 1500 life points
"Better than nothing, I suppose. It would have been a better idea to strike the one that didn't have a monster on her side of the field, but I presume you wanted to beat a monster so I would have the chance of defeating. Am I right?" asked Bastion, as he said that with no venom in his voice, or any anger, he was just curious about his friend's thought process.
Jaden sadly nodded, "Yeah, I guess I should have attacked Celina directly, huh?"
"I understand that, but there is always room for a better move, just not right now."
Jaden nodded as he took two cards from his hand, "I throw down 2 cards face down, and it's your move, Celina." two cards were set vertically behind the Feather Giant.
Turn 9. Celina - 4900 lp - 2 cards
It was now Celina's turn, and it feels like it will be difficult for both of them to survive this judging by the reactions of her face. She inserted the card, "I activate Graceful Charity! I draw 3 cards," she did so, "for the price of discarding 2 and I will choose my two Lunalights that I added a few turns ago!" she discarded two cards from her hand.
"But now the discarded effect of Emerald Bird is now activated! When it is sent to the graveyard, I get to special summon a Lunalight that is level 4 or lower, so come out, Lunalight Rainbow Chameleon!" as then a feminine chameleon was summoned onto the field, with a rainbow colouring scheme.

Celina then pointed out, "Her effect allows me to change its name, for only a Fusion summon so I will activate Lunalight Fusion!" A Purple-Blue-Red Spiral Vortex appeared onto the field, "This card allows me to use a Lunalight monster from my Extra Deck if you control a monster that was summoned from your Extra Deck, so I send Lunalight Cat Dancer to the graveyard, so she can fuse with Rainbow Chameleon!"
Her favourite Fusion Lunalight monster appeared on the field, only for her and Rainbow Chameleon to be sucked into the Purple-Red-Blue Spiral Vortex. From the vortex came out a panther with a similar style of the Cat and Tiger Dancer, and the same monster that finished Syrus.

"And now I will activate Lunalight Mischievous Dance!" Bastion widened his eyes at the name of the card, "I target 1 monster on your and on my side of the field, and then my monster gains 1000 extra points on each stat, and the opposite goes for you!" Celina pointed at Feather Giant and then on her Panther Dancer.
Elemental Hero Feather Giant: 3000 - 2000 defense points
Lunalight Panther Dancer: 2800 - 3800 attack points/ 2500 - 3500 defense points
"Jaden! We mustn't forget the other effect of giving the monster piercing damage!" yelled Bastion, but that would have done anything.
Celina yelled out, "Like that will stop both of you! Panther Dancer attack Feather Giant, and due to her effect, she can attack twice! Now go, attack with Ripping Frenzy!" Jaden's eyes widened as Panther Dancer jumped up and struck a killer combo on the Wind Hero that made it explode.
Jaden: 5550 - 3750 - 1950 life points
Bastion: 1600 lp
With that, all of the defense of Jaden and Bastion were destroyed in a single attack, and if he didn't gain life points, he would have most likely lost on this turn. Jaden took a breath as Celina took a card from her hand, "Only a few more turns, and we won, I end my turn with a face down." a card was set vertically behind the Panther Dancer.
Turn 10. Bastion - 1600 lp - 1 card
It was now Bastion's turn, and he had to do something. All he has is a Blaze Accelerator and a Trap that won't really help him right now, he needs a perfect card to deal with this situation, "I draw!" he drew his card and he looked at it and smiled, "This card might not be the one that will destroy your monsters, but it will help me get some much needed cards for this, I activate Pot Of Avarice! I pick 5 monsters from my graveyard," he took all of the Volcanics in his graveyard, but they were only 4 of them, he looked at Jaden, who nodded, so he took his Feather Giant in his own Extra Deck, "And then I get two draw two cards!" he yelled as he drew two of them.
His eyes widened, all of it was perfect for this, "I sacrifice Blaze Accelerator, for an upgraded version! My Continuous Spell card, Tri-Blaze Accelerator!" Bastion yelled as his gun was changed into missiles!
Celina widened at the sound of that, "Wait, did he get THAT card in his hand already!? But, I do have something for that." she said as she looked at her set card.
"Judging by your expressions, you all know what's going on, right?" Bastion let out a small laugh, "Well, I guess it's no time to sugar coat this, I sacrifice my Tri-Blaze Accelerator, so I can special summon Volcanic Doomfire!" Before anyone could react to the fact that he needed to sacrifice a Spell for a special summon, their thoughts were ruined as a big fire appeared onto the field.
"I guess it's time to see what Bastion is really made out of, huh Honest? I heard that Doomfire is a rare card that only the top ranking student in West Academy has, but I guess Bastion also has it." said Zane as Honest nodded, while watching the duel.
From the fire appeared a monster that is only described as coming from hell itself. The monster's heat was strong enough to catch many student's hair and clothes on fire, specifically Raizou and Taiyou. Its hair is literally made out of fire and magma, the skin was made out of the toughest charcoal. It had a tail strong like iron, but the size of Bastion. The only part of it that wasn't made out of charcoal was its arms, but they were hotter than Chumley's hot sauce, which was impressive.

The Ras went wild, even Satyr nodded approvingly as he saw his star pupil summon one of the strongest monsters, and scariest monsters, that Duel Monsters could make. The rest of the Teams were also cheering as the monster was summoned onto the field, they couldn't help it. That monster is awesome. Chumley did have to calm Syrus down when the monster was summoned onto the field.
Even the duelists themselves had to admire the monsters, but the only ones to voice their thoughts, "That is…"
"Magnificent, vigorous, majestic?"
"AWESOME! I can't wait to take that thing down when we beat them!" yelled Jaden, as the other duelists looked at him.
"When? No, IF!" said Alexis, as Celina grinned as well.
"We will see about that, Doomfire has the ability to destroy all monsters on my opponent's side of the field and deals 500 points of damage for each monster, when it destroys a monster by battle! And I will engage right this moment! Go, Volcanic Cannon!" yelled Bastion as Doomfire shot the fire at Dakini, but Celina, unfortunately, had to step in.
"No you don't! I activate the Trap, Waboku! This card prevents battle damage and battle destruction until the end of the turn!" yelled Celina as the fire bounced off Dakini and went straight to the roof, making a dent on it.
Sheppard sweatdropped, "I have to call Seto to fix that one, huh?"
Bastion gripped his hand, he was this close to defeat at least Alexis, but that couldn't have happened. He looked at his hand and sighed, "I end my turn with a face down, your move Alexis." a card was set vertically behind Doomfire.
Turn 11. Alexis - 1500 lp - 2 cards
Alexis drew her card and she smiled, a smile so sick and vile it shook the two duelists to their core, "Something bad is going to happen." She then inserted the card into her duel disk, "Well, boys, its been fun, but me and Celina are about to duel so I am gonna make this short, I activate the Ritual Spell, Machine Angel Ritual!" "Another one!?" as then a statue appeared onto the field, "I sacrifice my Cyber Angel Dakini so I can Ritual summon!"
Dakini went ahead towards the old statue, and it began breaking just like before, but this time, it wasn't a Dakini, it was a new monster. A deity of beauty and power all in one, but a light so bright, it nearly burnt the entire Duel Arena. And then the monster revealed herself as soon as the light stopped shining. The monster had pale white skin, it wore a tight yellow skin suit with red gauntlet on each of her hands. She wore light white hair. On her hands she wore a Kusanagi, a powerful sword able to rule Japan itself. Her clothes pattern was that of the Sun, like she was a goddess of it. "Show your Light, Cyber Angel Amaterasu!"
(Cyber Angel Amaterasu: Level 8 - Light Fairy - Attack: 3200. Defense: 2400.)
Many students, like Doomfire before, couldn't help, but look at it with awe. The monster didn't look like one, but rather that of a deity. The sheer beauty and power of it alone could stop anything if she wanted to. Many even so much wanted to change teams only for them to be in this for the goddess.
Jaden and Bastion took a step back at the monster, while Celina and Alexis grinned, as the Obelisk Blue took out a card from her hand, "I won't stop there, I activate Monster Reborn!" She took out a card from her graveyard to her hand only to place it on her duel disk, "Revive, Cyber Angel Idaten!"
(Cyber Angel Idaten: Ritual - Level 6 - Light Fairy - Attack: 1600. Defense: 2000.)
Celina then pointed out, "Don't forget her special ability! She can take a Spell back to her hand!" Alexis did so, only to activate once again, this time on her Dakini.
(Cyber Angel Dakini: Ritual - Level 8 - Light Fairy - Attack: 2700. Defense: 2400.)
Everyone did the math, and they found out that Jaden and Bastion will lose the duel if they didn't do anything. "Ahh man, this is horrible!" yelled Syrus as Chumley couldn't help but agree with this. What can they do against this!?
"Cyber Angel Amaterasu attacks your Doomfire with Wrath of the Sun!" yelled Alexis as Amaterasu went in and charged in on the Fire Pyro type monster with her sword, but Jaden was one, or two steps ahead.
"Sorry, Lex, but this won't end here! I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Flute of Summoning Kuriboh! I can special summon a Winged Kuriboh from my deck! Come here, my buddy!" Jaden took out his deck, took his furball and summoned it on his side of the field.
(Winged Kuriboh: Level 1 - Light Fairy - Attack: 300. Defense: 200.)
Celina raised her eyebrow, sure that would help Jaden in this, but how would that help Bastion. But then, like a lighting bolt, the idea struck her, "Wait, don't tell you are-"
Jaden grinned, "Oh yes I am, I am going to end this Battle Phase by activating Super Junior Confrontation! The attack is stopped and both of our weakest monsters get to duke it out and after it would be the end of the Battle Phase!" he yelled as his Winged Kuriboh and Alexis' Idaten went ahead and attacked each other, but the little furball was defeated in a short notice.
The Battle Phase was over, Bastion and Jaden should be easy, but why does it feel like that wasn't over. The look of their faces and the way that Amaterasu was looking at both of them, were nerve-racking, like they would be defeated right now.
"Nice going you two, but Alexis, what does Amaterasu do?" asked Celina.
"It destroys one monster on the field, and the opponent loses life points equal to its attack points." Jaden and Bastion widened, they will lose to the effect! "Now I will destroy Doomfire! With Wrath of the Sun!" Amaterasu lowered her sword to point at the monster, and shot a tiny, but powerful blast made out of the energy of the Sun and destroyed Doomfire.
Before the blast could reach our favourite raven and brown haired duo, the Ra Yellow activated his set card, "Not so fast! I activate the Trap, Counter Strike! I negate the effect damage me and Jaden would have taken and send the damage directly to you two!" A cylinder-like object appeared and it sucked in the attack and blasted towards Celina and Alexis.
The Obelisk Blue then pointed at her Ritual monster, "I am sorry, but that won't be happening! I activate her other effect! By negating the effect damage I would have taken, I can choose one opponent to send it towards them!" she then pointed at Bastion, "You played a good game, but this is it! Go!" Amaterasu then struck the blast coming towards her and shot it at the Ra Yellow, going full circle.
Many of the Ra Yellows and people on Team Bastion, even Jaden, yelled out for the Ra Yellow, "BASTION!"
Bastion stood tall as he looked at the other duelists that were still in play, making Crowler silently cheer, making Celina or Alexis the school representative going perfectly.
Celina: 4900 lp

Jaden: 1950 lp
Bastion: 1600 - 0 life points
BASTION MISAWA: LOST!
While Satyr was sad that his best student was down, being disappointed wouldn't be the correct way to describe it. While Bastion always got countered on what he did, getting back up and trying a different strategy was the best way to describe a duelist. Just getting this far is what made him proud, but it looks like it isn't down for the count yet.
"I may have fallen down, but I have some fight left in me! I activate the Trap, Last Hope From A Friend! This trap only activates when either Jaden or me lost all of our life points, the other duelist gets to draw a card! Jaden," he smiled, "Even if all of my calculations may not agree with me on this, you can win this."
"Thanks, Bastion and I will make you proud! I draw!" he yelled as he drew his card.
It was now almost done, just him left and Celina and Alexis could duel it out, Jaden only has one card left, but why do they get the feeling that they will lose? Alexis shook her head as she looked at Celina, who is currently looking at her field and graveyard. Alexis did the same, but she had nothing left. She looked at him, "You can go, Jaden."
Turn 12. Jaden - 1950 lp - 1 card
Jaden took a deep breath, right now he is dueling two people at once, and two of them were as tough as they come. In his hands was a Continuous Spell card that can help survive for one turn, but he is afraid that will not be enough. "Here goes something." He drew his card and smiled.
He put the card down and placed it in his hands. "I activate the Continuous Spell card, Damage Off Zone! With this all damage that we all take is now halved!" he then took the last card from his hand, "Also I throw down a face down and that will do for now!" a card was set vertically in front of Jaden.
Turn 13. Celina - 4900 lp - 0 cards
Celina drew her card, she knew that it would take a monster with at least 900 attack points to finish off Jaden with it due to the effect of his Spell card, but what she drew was way better than that. "Hey, remember that card that you gave me a couple of months ago?" Jaden widened, while Alexis looked confused, but then she realized what she meant by that, "Well, I am gonna activate it! The Continuous Spell card, Lunalight Wolf's Dance!"
A statue of the Lunalight Wolf appeared in front of her as Celina pointed out, "Remember the effect of Rainbow Chameleon? Well her effect is active even in the graveyard!" The crowd gasped as Banner leaned in with Pharoah in his hands, "Her name is now changed to Panther Dancer so now I will activate my Spell card's effect! I banish from my graveyard my Panther Dancer, Blue Cat and Emerald Bird so I can Fusion summon an even more ferocious monster!"
Rainbow Chameleon, now looking like the Panther Dancer, Emerald Bird and Blue Cat appeared onto the field, only to be sucked in by a Blue-Black Spiral Vortex. From the Vortex came out a majestic beast, something that a goddess of the Moon. The monster had light black skin, majestic white hair, red dress down to her hips, on her knees were the heads of yellow lions, had black leggings up to her knees, dark red lingerie. All around the monster was fur, on knees, chest, arms and hips. On both of her arms she had long golden rings around her hand. She carried a massive katana able to cut down any monster in her way. She also had a tail that was both light blue and light black, not to mention 3 golden rings around it. "Show of your ferocity, Lunalight Leo Dancer!"
If Alexis had the goddess of the Sun, then Celina had the goddess of the Moon.
Suddenly Bastion was glad that he was knocked down first.
(Lunalight Leo Dancer: Fusion - Level 10 - Dark Beast-Warrior - Attack: 3500. Defense: 3000.)
Many students looked in awe at the powerful beast that Celina summoned onto the field, while many other students blushed at the sight of the monster, but a quick glare stopped all of the perverted thoughts. Meanwhile the Slifer Red male was sweating bullets, not only he has to deal with Alexis' three powerful Ritual monsters, but he has to deal with Celina's two powerful Fusion monsters.
"Looks like this is where it stops, right Alexis?" Alexis nodded to what Celina said, "Alright then Panther Dancer and then Leo Dancer will finish you off with Ripping Frenzy and Full Moon Catastrophe!" Yelled Celina as both of her Fusion monsters went in for the finishing attack of the brunette, but then his set card was activated.
"Not so fast, Celina! I activate Negate Attack! This card negates your attack and stops the Battle Phase!" yelled Jaden as a barrier appeared in front of him to stop all of the attacks coming towards him, successfully saving him.
Many didn't know why he activated Damage Off Zone if he would activate Negate Attack, but Zane realized why he didn't save Damage Off Zone for later, it was so that he had to prepare for a card like Mystical Space Typhoon, that was a smart move on Jaden's end.
Celina sighed, "He really is a cockroach, impossible to defeat." she looked at him, "I end my turn here."
Turn 14. Jaden - 1950 lp - 0 cards
"Alrighty then, time to make something out of this!" he yelled as he drew his card. He frowned, not the card he needed right now, but could help him, "I activate the Spell card, Take Over 5! I send the top 5 cards to my graveyard, and on my next Standby Phase, I get to banish it and draw 1 card." he said as he took 5 cards from his deck to his graveyard, noting one of them as Wildheart, which might come in handy later.
He straightens his back, "Go ahead, your move."
Turn 15. Alexis - 1500 lp - 0 cards
It was now Alexis' turn and she drew her card. Machine Absolute Angel Ritual, not the card she needed right now, but she didn't need that right now. She had Amaterasu, Dakini and Idaten on her field, monsters that had enough attack points to finish him off, but something about his face was not giving her the right idea, something like this won't end him.
She shook her head, she will beat him. "You played well, Jaden, but this is over! Amaterasu, Dakini and Idaten, finish him off!" All of her monsters charged in, all of the weapons ready and charged at Jaden.
It caused a massive explosion, making everyone that rooted for Jaden, i.e. Syrus, Chumley and now Bastion, yell for him, "JADEN!" while the rest, even Crowler, cheer as he was finally defeated in a duel, well publicly. Celina and Alexis stared at Jaden, as he was standing with his eyes covered by his hair and his entire field empty. Wait, EMPTY?!
Celina: 4900 lp
Alexis: 1500 lp
Jaden: 1950 - 975 life points
"WHAT!?" everyone, sans Zane and Honest, yelled at the news, even Bastion, but then he realized what happened, "He used his Spell card, huh? He really is one special specimen." he thought as he smiled at his previous duel partner.
Jaden revealed his eyes to everyone, "Confused? Well, don't worry. I will explain it. By halving my life points, I can send Damage Off Zone to the graveyard, and for the rest of the turn, I don't take any damage! How's that!?"
Alexis didn't say anything as she looked at him, "Your move."
Turn 16. Jaden - 975 lp - 0 cards
Right now, Jaden had no monsters, no Spells and no Traps. His field was empty and his hand was no exception, and from the looks of it, he really couldn't do anything with his graveyard, but why do people feel like this is going to be the last turn of the duel?
He drew his card, and was disappointed. It was Favourite Hero, a card not really useful in this situation, but he had a chance in his next draw, "Thanks to Take Over 5, I get to draw one more card!" he yelled as he drew his card and he smiled, something is going to happen.
"I have a question, has anyone heard the words 'Hero's Come Back'?" everyone widened as he activated his card, "I activate Miracle Fusion! I fuse monsters from my graveyard or field, so I fuse my Elemental Hero Bladedge and Wildheart so I can create an even new Fusion monster!" His Bladedge and Wildheart appeared onto the field, only to be sucked in a White-Red-Blue Spiral Vortex.
From the Vortex came out a Hero that looked like Wildheart wearing Bladedge's armour on his head, left shoulder and arm, on his crotch and right leg. On his back, he wielded a sword bigger than that of the Leo Dancer's and on his arm had spikes, ready to use it on its enemies. "Here comes the Hero that combines technology and hunters, Elemental Hero Wildedge!"
(Elemental HERO Wildedge: Fusion - Level 8 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 2600. Defense: 2300.)
Like the many of the monsters that came before him, many stared in awe, many got perverted looks on the Hero, but just like the Leo Dancer, a quick glare got them to stop. But the monster was well, weaker by design and stat wise, it could only get over 1 monster, but why was Jaden holding a card?
"Now I know my monster may seem weaker than the others, but how about a little power boost? I activate the Equip Spell, Favourite Hero! It can only get equipped by a Hero monster with 5 or higher levels, but there is an upside. His attack boosted the same amount of his defense point when there is a Field Spell!" Many were shocked at the effect, but there was no Field Spell, what was he going to do?
"Now it's time to attack!" Wait, attack!? "But thanks to Favourite Hero, I get to search a Field Spell and activate it and the start of the Battle Phase, and here comes my favourite, Skyscraper!" Jaden then took out his card and placed it on his Field zone of his duel disk and many buildings appeared on the spot, similar when he used it against Crowler.
Wildedge: 2600 - 4800 attack points
Before any of them can talk it can only attack one monster, Jaden was faster than them, "Here comes the ability of Wildedge; he can attack ALL of your monsters!"
"HE CAN WHAT!?" yelled Celina, Alexis and Crowler, but before any of them could respond, Wildedge took out his sword and destroyed Amaterasu, Dakini and Idaten in one strike, making Alexis lose all of her life points and her monsters.
Many of the Obelisks and Celina yelled out for her, "ALEXIS!" but nothing could save her.
Celina: 4900 lp
Alexis: 1500 - 0 life points
Jaden: 975 lp
ALEXIS RHODES: LOST!
And just like that, there were only two duelists left to represent them in the school duel, while Fonda was sad, like Satyr, she was happy that she lasted this long and made it this far.
Before any of them could react, Jaden continued, "Celina, don't forget you are left so Wildedge continues the attack!" Wildedge then turned around and charged at the monsters, the Lunalights tried to fight back, but he was just way tougher as he slashed them like they were demons and like that made an explosion, whipping Celina's defense.
Celina: 4900 - 3600 - 1600 life points
Jaden: 975 lp
Celina dropped to her knee, but thankfully, she was still in it. Due to Wildedge's effect, she can not be attacked directly, and all she needed to do was draw into a Spell destroying card, like Mystical Space Typhoon and summon another copy of Tiger Dancer and she is all set, but who said he was done?
"Celina, you played good, but this is over! I activate Favourite Hero's final effect! When Wildedge destroys a monster, I can send it to the graveyard and he can attack once again!"
"It can't be!" yelled Celina, as Team Jaden went like crazy while the other Teams couldn't do anything, but stare.
"Oh it be, alright! Wildedge finish this off!" Wildedge turned around, and didn't even use his sword, instead he shot spikes on her, ensuring Jaden's victory.
Celina: 1600 - 0 life points
Jaden: 975 lp
JADEN YUKI: WINNER!
Celina dropped to her knees, as did Crowler, he failed again! She lost. She lost against him. She lost against the person she was, well, trying to overcome, but, no. She lost and he won. She hated this feeling as Jaden pointed his two fingers together and yelled, "That's game! And a pretty sweet one!" She looked over and saw, Syrus and Chumley going haywire that their best friend won, Zane walking off while nodding, Crowler stomping his way out of here, Banner reaching to his peers like they betted which one of their students would win and Alexis walking over, and she and Bastion congratulated him on his victory. She wanted to be the one who won this, but knew that wouldn't be the outcome, so she swallowed her pride and walked over and gave him a handshake, "Good job. That was a good duel."
Jaden smiled as he returned the favour, "Yeah, that was a fantastic one! You were all amazing!" he smiled as the rest smiled, maybe she will get over this.
Sheppard walked to the Duel Arena, while the rest of the Professors exited the arena, including a sad Crowler. He started clapping his hands, "A Splendid duel! All of you did a fantastic job of dueling and showing why you should represent us in the school duel! Now for the ones that lost, don't be sad that you lost and won't compete, be happy of your accomplishments and how you got here, and be happy that you were a part of this fun duel!" Sheppard praised them while the ones that lost, nodded their heads, they understood what he meant, and they were happy about that, well one of them was to a certain extent.
"Now Jaden, I am happily welcoming you to represent us in the school duel? What do you say?"
Jaden smiled at Sheppard, "Well, all I gotta say is…that North Academy has to get their game on because I won't be going down that easily!" He punched the air.
Sheppard laughed, "I like your spirit, Jaden! Now I want everyone to welcome Jaden as our representative!" And the Duel Arena, and Duel Academy was roaring with applause, North Academy is going down!
Meanwhile, somewhere in a shipwreck
A certain Obelisk Blue was on a boat. He had raven coloured hair and was gripping the water bottle in his hands, that was the last sip of the water. His family's yatch was taken down and he was on it, he felt like he couldn't even hear his duel spirits anymore. He planned on going to North Academy, but nothing, his ship was wrecked. For some reason he felt he heard a submarine beneath him.
He looked over and imagined a kid with brown hair making fun of him, he snarled. "One day, Jaden, I will get my revenge." said the Obelisk Blue as he revealed himself. It was…

Holy BEEP on a BEEP sandwich that was long! A whole 14k long chapter! Why did I do this to myself!? Well anyways hope you enjoyed the chapter. I decided to make a Tag Team duel since I plan on making more in the season and way later on! I loved Bastion's duel with Jaden in the original Canon, but I wanted to make something special, aka 2v2!
I always loved these in the show and in other fanfictions so I decided why not? I decided to make Alexis one of the duelists to duel here since I never understood why she didn't in the first place, but whatever.
I completely decided to remove Gerard in this since he added nothing in the Canon. He didn't send a report about this crazy ass school for a Field Spell and a kid that said something nice about him. Not to mention he wouldn't fit in this! If you liked him, I am sorry, but I had to.
Anyways, next chapter it's Chazz Time! And his birthday is coming soon, and I hope I can write at least a couple days after it. I plan on adding 1 character in it, and he is a fun one, let's say it is very clear on who I am going to add if you watched the dub.
I plan on making a Card database for the cards that I made up, just maybe after chapter 10 or 11.
Before I go, I need to tell you that soon, when I am posting this, I am going on vacation so if the next chapter or the chapter after that is late, you know the reason.

Level Burn: A card that I wrote for giving Jaden and Bastion a head start.
Lunalight Restoration Dance: A card that gives both life point advantage and card advantage if you use the correct card.
Lunalight Marron Mosquito: An Air Hummingbird, but for Lunalights
Lunalight Tiger Dancer: Why didn't they make a Tiger Fusion monster for Lunalights? This probably gonna be used more later on.
Elemental HERO Feather Giant: I wanted to make a Fusion of Avian and Clayman, so why not? Also yes, his effect is similar to that of the Superheavy monsters.
Lunalight Rainbow Chameleon: Basically a Mystical Sheep 1# for Lunalights.
Cyber Angel Amaterasu: I wanted to make a new Boss monster for the Cyber Angels, so why not? Their names are based on Japanese deities.
Counter Strike: I wanted to make an anime style card that bounces off the effect damage.
Last Hope From A Friend: A card that I will 100% make characters use more if I plan on more Tag duels.
