Time to answer the reviews:
ToBlazePurple: Chapter 1: ...no way. No FLIPPIN way! The author of my favourite story just wrote a review of my story. Is this real life? Anyway, I am glad that you are enjoying this series so far, and the start is a little weak if I do have to agree and I do like that you enjoyed the duels! I try my best to make them as good as I can.
Chapter 2: Damn! On the same day!? Anyways, yeah I do enjoy when people change it up with the same outcome, one of the big reasons why your story interests me so much. She has her own room, she just likes to hang out with them. They deserve it after the clusterfuck of the Arc V ending.
Chapter 5: Bro, you are speedrunning this story. The idea of Zane using Honest wasn't originally part of the story since I was planning to make an Atticus vs Zane, but I decided to mix it up by adding Yusuke in it. The Duel uphead was a hard one, but one of my best.
Chapter 6: That didn't sound like a bad idea of using HEROroid against Camula, but I preferred you using Revandread Slayer against him. I feel bad for him, but also, I do find it funny not going to lie. I want to write more of those types of reactions in the future.
Entertainment. Entertaining. Show. Spectacular. Fun. Those were the 5 words that inspired the young life of Dennis Mcfield. The young boy was obsessed with entertaining everyone in a duel and in real life. Making every activity for him, and more importantly, to others have fun.
It didn't matter to him if it was in a game of Duel Monsters, homework, playing with the other kids his age, board games, buying new toys or watching shows on TV, entertainment was his favourite thing and having a fun time is his life goal.
"The Fun has just begun!" was the one line that Dennis couldn't get enough of. It was when everyone around him knew that he either wasn't done putting up a show, that their fun time was only the beginning or that it was about to become even more crazy and fun.
As much as he did love playing Duel Monsters, his dream was to perform in a circus to put a smile on the little children's faces whenever he was on stage, and with his upbeat, easy-going, relaxed and overall friendly personality, that wouldn't be a problem for Dennis.
He was constantly jumping all over the place, doing flips over flips over flips, and he always made it impressive to everyone. He was happy with his skills, but he wasn't arrogant. Not at all. He was humble, knowing his strengths and weaknesses. Knowing that one bad move would lead to his downfall.
As much as he wanted to be a Duelist that could perform on the stage, the kids were happy for the idea, but the adults thought it was, well, difficult, dangerous for the little kid. They were nice to tell him that his dreams were good, but sadly his dreams were crushed when they said that was nearly impossible since it will hurt him in the long run.
Saying that he was sad was an understatement, he didn't even talk, smile or have fun for a week, when everyone knew something was wrong. He thought that they were right that it was difficult to do that, so he had to choose between his favourite hobby or his dream.
But who said that he had to choose? One day after school, he, like any other kid his age, walked to the TV, placed his bookbag in his room, and watched something that would change his life, a duel between two Entertainment duelists.
One was George Gore, a person that he loved watching, but the other marked a change in the series of Dueling forever, Yusho Sakaki. A person that truly loved putting on a show, even after losing, if he managed to entertain the crowd, it was a true victory for him.
His dueling style was nothing too big. Summoning a monster with 2500 attack points that gains attack points with every Spell card activated, but what he does in the duel was nothing short of a movie to everyone.
Once Yusho activated his Ace Spell card, Smile World, the entire atmosphere changed. Once it was like a battlefield between two amazing duelists and then the other second it was like a carnival. The entire thing felt like he was watching a Superhero in real life, Dennis looked on the entire duel with the biggest smile on his face, and some tears of joy in his eyes, as, even though it resulted in Gore winning, it was clear that Yusho won the crowd and even his opponent.
After Dennis finished watching his now, and even to this day, favourite duel of all time, he thought to himself how he could be his idol, his hero. And the idea struck him.
He needed to practise dueling while doing exercises like jumping and running, and even using ropes so he could have a leg up, even while he is dangling upside down. He did this for every day, every week, every month, every year, until he could perfect his style.
He even heard that people tried doing it at the same time, the so-called "Dueltaining." where duelists go out of their way and do things that people would usually see in a carnival, like drawing on ropes, running, doing flips during a duel and even having these so-called, "Action Cards."
It put a smile on the young Dennis' face as he wouldn't stop doing what he loves, entertaining everyone around him.
When he turned 14, he decided to try out one of these tournaments, with his parent's permission. He got there in his parent's car and looked at where he had to go. It had a blue tube that went up the white room that looked like a square that was a couple of meters away from the duel arena that looked like people would cage fight, where students from ages 12 to 16 were waiting for their turn and with their tries.
He met everyone and instantly became friends with them with his lively charisma and they mostly talked about how influential Yusho really is, and it put a smile on his face that people were saying such nice things to his hero.
The tournament soon began and Dennis was quickly gone up the ranks. While some did use some defensive strategies like a wall of some sorts, Fusion decks, Ritual decks and many more, they were no match with his Performages.
And soon, it was the finals, Dennis against a girl by the name of Emma Dare, and it was one of the most fun duels that he ever had in his entire life. With combos coming left and right, comebacks after comebacks. A real spectacular, fun duel.
But there was a horrible decision on their end, they wanted to do a move that would make everyone look at them in awe, with his legs on the ladder, hands ready to catch her with his Trapeze Magician in play and an Action card by the name of Evasion, and Emma ran at the red haired boy. He caught her, but then, due to him having in his hands that lowered his grip, and then he…lost his grip.
The girl fell and then…
Thud!
She was on the floor, unmoving, unable to breathe, knocked out and most likely…
…dead.
She was dead, and it was because of his fault.
His fault.
His Fault.
HIS FAULT.
Everyone, even his own parents, shunned him away, kicking him out from the house, with only his deck with him. But where could he go?
Where could he go?
Where can he live and sleep?
Where can he live in a place that doesn't treat him like the scum of the earth?
How he could make people happy, if he couldn't even be happy, but how could he after what he did?
It has been half a year when the incident happened and now Dennis was eating sandwiches in a dumpster where he found, which was the best thing he has eaten in months, with clothes that were more ruined than a homeless man, with hair dripping from the massive storm that happened and he didn't have any shelter.
The only thing that he had was his deck, which was the only thing that brought him joy.
He felt terrible about everything. Himself. On the girl's parents. Everyone that saw the incident. And more.
His thoughts were interrupted when he heard noises, walking noises of a man with pure white hair, a beard that almost covered his neck and was skinny like Dennis was. The man, now known as Kagemaru, talked about being a Shadow Rider, any information of him being wiped away and freeing the Sacred Beasts, or continuing to be where he was right now.
Dennis, without a second thought…joined the Shadow Riders and became the Entertainer Rider.
It was currently a week after Yusuke returned to school and became a part of the gang. He quickly realized that all of them, despite how they act telling otherwise, were good people that did care for each other, even when they joke around with others. And the best news is that Bastion is finally over Tania. He would usually walk to the Slifer Red dorm in the morning, since half of them were from Slifer Red and usually chat before school starts.
This morning, however, there was a little argument between two best friends, "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU, JAY!"
"Look, Sy. I am sorry, but I wanted to give you something special for your birthday." said Jaden as Syrus glared at the taller Slifer Red duelist.
"My birthday is almost a full month before yours and that is in August!" Syrus couldn't believe it, how could he do this to him?! After always being there for him, dueling his older brother and fighting in the expulsion duel, this is what he does to him!?
Then an argument began between the two best friends. Yusuke looked around and saw Celina looking at her hand like she did something or heard something strange, Chumley eating a grilled cheese, but slowly as he tried his best not to hear the conversation and Chazz didn't really care as he ate fried shrimps after the other.
Yusuke walked towards them and asked, "So…what happened to them? Oh, and good morning too." he said as Chazz looked at him.
"The Slacker traded from the shortstack's things for a card, and good morning too." he said as Yusuke was confused.
Sure, that is a good reason to be angry. Trading something without someone's permission is a very good reason to be angry at someone, but why that big of an outrage? Did he trade the entire deck for one card? He would understand that big of a reaction, but not to the scale that it would result in that reaction. He could have just returned the deck back.
"What did he trade for? Like a deck or something similar?" he asked as the three Slifer Reds looked at him.
"Nope, something more big." somewhat answered Chumley as Yusuke was even more confused.
"Like what? A chair?" all of them shook their heads, "Then what is it?"
"Something so big that we are shocked that it only took us now to realize that he traded it." like Chumley, somewhat answered Celina as Yusuke narrowed his eyes.
"Is it a tabl-"
"The reason why I am angry is that you traded MY BED for a card!" shouted Syrus as the entire Slifer Red dorm, sans the ones that already knew that fact in the first place, looked at the person that did that feat in the first place.
How in the 9 circles of hell did Jaden 'What Is A Fiancee' Yuki disambled an entire 3 bed bunk, took out the middle bed, placed it all back like it didn't even happen, took the bed out of the room, somehow no one saw this, walked to the stranger that wanted a bed in the first place and returned without anyone noticing or hearing any of that?!
They are more impressed than anything.
"How?" he looked at his now friends, members of the Fun Gang with disbelief.
Celina, Chazz and Chumley all looked at each other and then, at the same time, said, "It's Jaden." they said, like that was an appropriate answer.
Before he could sit down and question who on Earth wanted a bed from Syrus, Bastion Misawa opened the door. "Everyone, I need your attention!" Everyone turned around to the Ra Yellow, "There are pirates on the docks on a submarine!"
"Wait, what!?"
"This is the second time this year!"
Everyone, and I do mean everyone, ran at the door and the docks, making it there in about 5 minutes of running. Alexis and Zane were also there, one having a look of disbelief while Zane, sighed, already hearing about this deal.
"Okay, why are they here?"
"And who are they?" asked Celina and Jaden at the same time as the two pirates, with microphones yelled.
"Who we be? Well we be the two gentlemen o' fortune that there rule the oceans!" both of the pirates yelled at the same time.
The fatter of the two announced himself first, "Me name be Anacis." Anacis wore white pants, a green white striped shirt, a brown jacket with golden shoulder pads. He had brown hair that went up to his chin, with small glasses that didn't cover his gray eyes. He also wore two golden rings and a typical captain hat.
"An' I be Cutter!" the other one announced after the other. He wore a purple jacket, a pink v-shirt with belts around his stomach and on his hips. He wore red pants with dark red boots. He wore a monocle on his left eye and a typical pirate hat with a skull on it. He had yellow hair that was a mix of a palette and a ponytail.
"Okay, but why are both of you here?" asked Chazz as Zane and Yusuke sighed, remembering these two.
"Why be we 'ere?" asked Anacis as Cutter answered his question.
"Well, we be 'ere fer the two Slifers o' duel academy known as Jaden Yuki an' Celina Boyle fer a duel." he said as the Key Keepers, sans Zane, narrowed their eyes as they heard that.
"Wait a minute!"
"Are they-"
"Shadow Riders?!" yelled Alexis, Bastion and Chumley as the two Slifers stayed quiet. Zane and Yusuke glanced at each other, right before walking off.
"Where are you two going?" asked Alexis.
"Because those two aren't anything special. They see two powerful juniors every year and they duel them to be their representative." explained Zane as Alexis was bewildered to say the least.
"Wait, they do this every year?" she asked as Yusuke nodded.
"Yeah, they aren't Shadow Riders, or anything, they are just people that want fame that is it." explained Yusuke.
Alexis turned around and tried to assure them that it is not dangerous at all, but sadly, the two Slifers went in with Bastion and Chazz walking with them for the reason that if they lost, they would back them up. She watched Syrus walking off, still bitter of his bed, and Chumley walking with them.
"I…should have remembered them from my junior year." he said as Alexis waved her hand.
"Ahh, don't worry, it will most likely take them a couple of hours at most." she said as Chumley nodded.
"True, but I wonder how Syrus would act when Jay isn't around." he questioned.
Alexis placed a finger on her chin, before shrugging it off, "He would still be angry, but he will forgive him once he is back."
Chumley nodded again, "Yeah, he most likely will." But he had something to think about, "Hey, what do you want to do to pass the time?"
"That's…a good question." She looked over and saw Yusuke and Zane walking slowly towards Duel Academy. Alexis quickly walked towards them, with Chumley behind her.
"Hey, I was wondering something…Is it alright if we hang out with you two?" she asked as both nodded as the two seniors and juniors walked in Duel Academy.
Sometime later
Alexis, Zane, Yusuke and Chumley were all in the school's library, studying the missing students. Ranging from juniors to seniors, to Slifer Reds to even the Obelisk Blues.
The most interesting thing about them is that they were in groups. The Three Musketeers, The 3 Amigos, The 'Knights of Hanoi' only because they played Knight's cards, The Machinery Duo, but the ones that interested them the most were a group of sophomores and 1 junior by the name of the Barians.
It consisted of Mizar Jinlon, the leader, smarts and the quote on quote 'Galaxy-Eyes Master', Girag Kiraku, the strength of the group and a massive of fan of a pop star by the name of Scarlett Starling, Alito Alioth, the most charming one and the best one in hand to hand, and the youngest Dumon Durbe, the most level-headed, most loyal and the most caring of the the four.
While they weren't as strong as the Emperor Trio, they were still a very much respected group of people and were one of the more imposing groups, to the point that they could rival the Emperor Trio. They were caring for the other students, both Slifers, Ras and Obelisks.
They were even considered to be friends with them due to them being quite respectful to them and they showed it back. Yusuke was also friends with Dumon, the youngest one, due to them continuously studying together and having a project together, which made them get to know each other better.
Yusuke was quite saddened by the fact that they were gone, and so was Zane as he did remember all of the times they had fun together…aka all of those times he wiped the floor with them, but fun times not the less.
"So, wait, let me get this straight, there were many groups of students with crazy names when we were juniors, but they aren't now. Only like 2 groups are here. Why is that?" asked Chumley as he was confused about all this.
"I think it's because they think it is more of a curse thing more than anything. I mean, what other explanation is there? A group of students, 3 or more, that are somewhat decent at the game vanish from the spot." Alexis tried to think about it as Zane continued along.
"Not to mention that, with the exception of me, all of the groups vanish at the same time with every member. So all of them decided to stop with the group of students and just hang out as friends." he said.
"That does explain why they quit after Atticus and I vanished from this." said Yusuke as he leaned back in his chair, somewhat worried that the four haven't returned yet, but most likely they would return soon enough. He did hear something out of a circus outside, but that was most likely his imagination.
"I can confirm after you two left, there were no more groups of students, but just a friend group. But it is interesting to think about." said Zane as he also heard some students clapping at someone.
"I have to agree, but does anyone else hear carnival music?" Alexis asked.
"Now that you mention it, I did hear students clapping and some monsters being summoned." said Chumley as he looked around the library, but nothing.
"Do we…check it out?" asked Yusuke as he looked at everyone, who just shrugged.
"Sure, I don't see why not." said Zane as they returned the books from the library and went outside of the library and what they saw was only from a movie.
There was a stage with bright colours and lights going all over the place, a monster by the name of Trapeze Magician flying on its ladder, circling the rings all over its body, with some catchy music in the background. The entire thing looked amazing, but do you know what is the most impressive thing?
It was all done by one person. It was a one man show.
A guy with red hair, with a mole under his eye with two different coloured suits on him with a mask that resembled that of the Ancient Gears was doing the usual thing that you can see in a circus.
Balancing on a ball while juggling balls at the same time, walking on a rope while Trapeze Magician was throwing things like rings, balls, chairs and an anvil, and doing multitudes of flips and stunts with his Ace monster on his side of the field.
When he was finished, he jumped from the ropes, landing on the stage with a bow with lights going crazy.
Everyone, including Zane and Crowler, clapped at the performance of the entertainer, being extremely impressed that he was able to do those things solo. The person smiled as he heard the cheers of the crowd.
"That was amazing!"
"Lischus!"
"Not going to lie, that was a good performance."
"Good job!"
"Encore! Encore!"
The person laughed at the cheers from most of the crowd, "What is this? Are my ears deceiving me or does the crowd want more?" he leaned in with his left ear in front as he heard the crowd going wild with every second, he laughed once again, "Well, I guess I have to do what the crowd wants because I have one thing to say to all of you, The Fun has just begun! I, Dennis McField, will duel one of you in a spectacular duel that you will never forget! Now, who will it be?"
"Oh, me!"
"Duel me, Dennis!"
"I want to duel with you!"
Dennis chuckled at the response and as much as he wanted to duel one of them, his mission was more important. He scanned the area and he grinned when he saw one of the Key Keepers and so he pointed to Alexis.
"I chose the girl with the weird necklace!" he said as everyone turned around to Alexis, as she was shocked that she was chosen and not any one else.
"Wait, me?" Dennis nodded, "Are you serious?"
Dennis chuckled, "Of course I am, now don't be shy and come over here so we can have a duel of a lifetime."
Alexis shrugged her shoulders as she walked towards Dennis, with her duel disk and deck with her, "Alright, just don't be sad or angry when I beat you."
"Nonsense! I don't care if I win or lose, as long as I have fun with the duel, that's all that matters!" he said as Alexis smiled at the words, and now she was on the opposite side of his field, "Alright! Are you ready…Key Keeper."
Her, and so did Chumley, Zane, Yusuke and Crowler's eyes widened at the sound of that. He was a Shadow Rider!? How was that possible and why did he not choose to attack her rather than entertain everyone? The students that didn't know anything about this just continued to watch the duel.
"Wait you are a-"
"A Shadow Rider, right?" he chuckled, "Yes, but don't worry about anything," Alexis raised an eyebrow by his words, "Unlike the first two, I don't have anything against you and the only thing that I want is your Key and that is it."
Alexis blinked, shocked at the words from the Shadow Rider. That didn't sound like a lie and the way he expressed those words to her, sounded like he told the truth. It was Tania, but not with the husband thing. She looked around to the people that knew about the Shadow Riders, and they were also confused about his words.
Alexis turned around to face the Entertainer Rider, "Are you serious? You are not lying, right?"
Dennis kept his genuine smile on his face, "I swear on my deck that I am being honest with every word that I have said."
Alexis thought about, right before sighing, it's better to try if he is being genuine or not. "Alright. Let's begin the duel." she said as Dennis nodded as he grabbed his lighter looking duel disk that kept the same design as the Battle City duel disk, but with much smaller looking parts and placed his deck into it. Alexis did the same.
Both of them looked at each other and said at the same time, "DUEL!"
Dennis McField: 4000 lp
Alexis Rhodes: 4000 lp
Turn 1.
Both of them drew their 5 cards and the Entertainer Rider looked at the Key Keeper, "I think the expression is, 'Ladies first' appropriate for this situation?" he asked in a nice tone.
Alexis smiled, "I guess it is. I draw!" She drew her card and automatically played the card, "I summon my trusty Etoile Cyber in attack mode!" a ballerina with a red tight suit with blue skin and orange hair that went down to her hips appeared onto the field.
(Etoile Cyber: Level 4 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 1200. Defense: 1600.)
She then took a card from her hand, "I will end my turn with a face down!" she said as a card was set vertically in front of Alexis.
Turn 2. Dennis - 4000 lp - 5 cards
"Splendid first move, but let me tell you something," Dennis clears his throat as he moves his arms aside to look at the crowd, "The Fun has just begun! I draw!" he drew his card and he flashed a smile. "A perfect start! I activate the Spell Card known as Level Fusion!"
"Level Fusion?" Chumley tilted his head as he never heard about that card, "What does that do?"
"Well it summons a monster whose level is the same as the two monsters used for the summon." explained Crowler, "I don't blame you if you don't know that card since no one uses that card and is highly inconsistent in most strategies."
"Not to mention that most Fusion monsters have higher Levels than the monsters used for the summon." said Zane.
"Still, I wonder why he would use such a card." wondered Yusuke.
"Level Fusion allows me to use 2 monsters with the same Levels in my hand or on my field so I can Fusion summon a monster with the same Level, ignoring the amount of the monsters needed for a Fusion summon!" explained Dennis as he took his two monsters as he revealed them to everyone, "I Fuse from my hand my Performage Wind Drainer and Performage Wing Sandwichman!"
A petite robotic lady with green hair on a purple starry bouncy ball and an armored soldier with angel like wings and a shield with a red star on the middle appeared onto the field, only for them to be sucked in by a Orange-Yellow Spiral Vortex.
Dennis then began to chant, "Master of Shadows and wearer of scissors, when you are summoned, the entire crowd goes wild! I Fusion Summon! Come to the stage, Performage Shadow Maker!" he sang the last part as from the Spiral Vortex came out…nothing.
Everyone looked around, only from the Entertainer Rider's shadow raised higher and higher as the monster revealed himself. It was a thin monster, like a thin piece of paper levels of thin, wearing a small orange bow tie, red glasses, green hat and massive blue scissors.
(Performage Shadowmaker: Fusion - Level 5 - Dark Spellcaster - Attack: 2600. Defense: 1000.)
Alexis' eyes widened as she saw that monster, but Dennis was far from done, "And when he is summoned onto the field, I get to special summon a Perfomage monster from my Extra Deck, ignoring its summoning conditions!"
"Wait, what!" yelled Alexis.
"No way!"
"Two Fusion monsters in one turn?!"
"Amazing!"
"I wonder who I will pick, but I think I know which one!" Dennis took a monster from his Extra Deck and placed it on his duel disk, "I summon the Level 7, Performage Trapeze Witch!" from the stands a rope ladder appeared behind Dennis. A witch wearing purple clown themed clothes grabbed one of the steps and quickly jumped with it, landing successfully onto the field.
(Performage Trapeze Witch: Fusion - Level 7 - Dark Spellcaster - Attack: 2400. Defense: 1800.)
Dennis then pointed out, "And when she is on the field her pals from the circus can not be destroy or targeted by card effects, and when I have her on the field she can't be targeted for attacks." he explained.
Alexis narrowed her eyes at the two monsters, "So in short the only way of removing monsters on his side of the field is by attacking them and since she can't be targeted by an attack, I have to first destroy his Shadowmaker."
"Now, I think it's time to battle! Shadowmaker attack her Etoile Cyber with Shadow Snip!" Shadowmaker reached for Alexis' monster, but the Obelisk Blue wasn't going down that easily.
"Not so fast! I activate my Trap, Doble Passe!" her set card was activated, "When you declare an attack on my monster, your monster can attack me directly!" she announced as Shadowmaker made its way towards Alexis and, without wanting to hurt her, lightly tapped her on her head.
"Huh?" That was all that Dennis could say.
Dennis: 4000 lp
Alexis: 4000 - 1400 life points
"Why would she do that? That hurts her more than it helps her." wondered Yusuke as he did the maths, and she still would have survived with 200 life points, the same as if she didn't use Doble Passe.
"Because, you should know that Alexis is willing to take shortcuts for a win." that's all that Zane as Yusuke raised an eyebrow.
His attention didn't last too long as he then heard her yell, "And now the other effect of Doble Passe activates! When this happens, my monster can now attack you directly and when Etoile Cyber attacks directly, she gains an extra 600 attack points! Go, have some revenge!"
Etoile Cyber: 1200 - 1800 attack points
Etoile Cyber nodded as she ran towards the field, skipping Trapeze Witch and Shadowmaker, so she could kick Dennis in the head and run back. From Dennis' nose came out blood, but he quickly wiped it away with a smile.
Dennis: 4000 - 2200 life points
Alexis: 1400 lp
Etoile Cyber: 1800 - 1200 attack points
"Not bad, not bad at all." praised Dennis, "But that won't stop you from Trapeze WItch's attack! Go! Attack with Entertainment Sky Kick!" His monster nodded as it went to the rope ladder and went towards Alexis' monster and jumped from it, delivering a kick as she kneeled when she was done. She then walked towards Dennis, who flashed a smile on his face, which made her smile.
Dennis: 2200 lp
Alexis: 1400 - 200 life points
"Yusuke have you noticed something off from Dennis' monsters?" asked Zane as his best friend looked at him.
"What do you mean, Zane?" he asked.
"Well after I got Honest, I could see Duel Spirits such as Chazz's Dark Scorpions and Jaden's Elemental Heroes and Winged Kuriboh, but his monsters are different, I just don't know how to describe it." he said as Yusuke understood what he meant by that.
"Is it like they act and feel like they are alive, but they aren't?" Yusuke tried to pinpoint on what he meant by that.
"I think so, yeah. I think I know what his Shadow Charm does," Yusuke glanced at him, "It gives somewhat life to his monsters, but without being Duel Spirits."
Yusuke shrugged, "I think you are right, but lets see how this goes." Zane nodded as they watched the duel continue.
The Entertainer Rider then took a card from his hand, "I will then end my turn with a face down, your move." a card was set vertically behind his two Fusion monsters.
Turn 3. Alexis - 200 lp - 4 cards
Alexis drew her card and she smiled as she started her combo with her favourite monster, but first, "I will start by activating the Spell, The Warrior Returning Alive! I can return a Warrior monster from my graveyard back to my hand!" she yelled as she took her card from her graveyard and placed it in her hand, "I return Etoile Cyber!"
She then took a card from her hand, "Since you showed off your Fusion summoning, how about I return the favour? I activate the Spell, Polymerization! I will fuse from my hand Cyber Skater and Etoile Cyber!"
Her Etoile Cyber and a woman with a tight blue suit with light blue skin with swords on her hands appeared onto the field, only for them to be sucked in by a Red-Blue Spiral Vortex.
Alexis then decided to try out a chant as she began,"A true mistress of the dance room, with moves like the whirlwind itself, rushes to the field to fight for her honor! I Fusion Summon! Dance to the wind, Cyber Blader!" From the vortex came out a woman with a vizor on her face with a mixture of a red and purple skin tight suit, with a mini dress on her hips with long blue hair down to her hips rolled towards the field.
(Cyber Blader: Fusion - Level 6 - Earth Warrior - Attack: 2100. Defense: 800.)
The crowd went wild as even Dennis was impressed at the look of the monster. "Lischus! She summoned her Ace monster!" cheered Chumley.
"Wait, I thought she played Cyber Angels, a Ritual focused deck?" Yusuke said with a confused expression.
"Well to be exact, that is her Ace Fusion monster. Her true ace monster makes her Cyber Blader look like a Level 1 monster, not a big threat." stated Zane as Crowler agreed with the senior.
"Yes, that is true and trust me, you don't want to be on the receiving end of it." Crowler shivered when he saw Alexis' true Ace.
"I can't wait to see it." said Yusuke as he looked at the duel.
"Now, I know that you are wondering why I would summon a monster with only 2100 attack points, well the reason that she gains effect is the amount of monsters that you have on the field!" Alexis explained as a blue glow appeared on the Cyber Blader, "Since you control 2 monsters on your side of the field, her attack points double!"
"Pardon, her what?!" yelled the Entertainer Rider.
Cyber Blader: 2100 - 4200 attack points
"Since I can't destroy your Trapeze Witch, I think I will destroy your Shadowmaker with Skate Blade Slash!" yelled Alexis as her Fusion monster ran towards her opponent, ready to strike and destroy the Entertainer Rider's Fusion monster, but unfortunately, he had a counter for this.
"Not so fast! I reveal my Trap card! Half Unbreak!" Dennis' set card was activated and bubbles appeared from it, protecting his monster, "When my monster is being targeted for an attack, my Trap negates the destruction and I halve the damage!"
"Oh yeah!? Well you still take the damage!" Cyber Blader was in front of Shadowmaker and delivered a spin kick, but thanks to the bubbles, it was protected from harm.
Dennis: 2200 - 1400 life points
Alexis: 200 lp
"Hey, are you okay, Shadowmaker?" asked Dennis as his monster nodded, he chuckled, "Good, don't want anything bad to happen to you, don't I?"
Alexis, without questioning Dennis about his monsters due to being friends with people that can see duel spirits, she took a card from her hand, "You can go after I set this card facedown." a card was set vertically behind Cyber Blader.
Turn 4. Dennis - 1400 lp - 2 cards
Dennis cleared his throat right before looking at his opponent and then the crowd, "Ladies and Gentleman! I hope you enjoyed the show since the Fun has only begun!" The Key Keepers, and Yusuke and Chumley, were taken aback due to his demeanor changing, but they let it slide due to them being interested on how this will go.
"Right now, my opponent has a monster with more than 4000 attack points on the field so tell me? Are you ready for a spectacular comeback!" he leaned in as he heard the crowd all yelling a 'yes' or 'of course we are!' so he placed his fingers on his duel disk and announced, "Well, let's see if your prayers have been announced! I draw!" he said as he drew his card and he smiled.
"I will start by activating my Quick-Play Spell, Reincarnation Fusion! This card allows me to use a Fusion monster on my side of the field and send it to my graveyard," his Shadowmaker was sent to the graveyard as he took a card from his Extra Deck, "And I can then summon a monster with the same name, ignoring the summoning conditions, from my Extra Deck with the added bonus of being protected by card effects for the rest of the turn! So I will Reincarnation Fusion Summon Performage Shadowmaker!"
A bright Orange-Red Spiral Vortex came out and from it, just like before, appeared Shadowmaker.
(Performage Shadowmaker: Fusion - Level 5 - Dark Spellcaster - Attack: 2600. Defense: 1000.)
Dennis then pointed out, "And please tell me that you haven't forgotten my monster's effect when he is Summoned, right? He can special summon a monster from the Extra Deck when he is Fusion summoned! So I will pick my favourite one!" he took out a card from his Extra Deck and grinned.
He began to chant, "Direct your gaze to the skies above, as I present to you a swinging star performer! I Special Summon! Entertain everyone, Performage Trapeze Magician!" Just like Trapeze Witch, rope ladders appeared behind the Entertainer Rider, but this time, a magician with light blue colouring scheme of a clown with light green gloves, red cape, light blue hat with stars on them, black shoes and a staff with yellow orbs around the end of each side of the staff on its hips.
It grabbed the ladder and swung himself close to Dennis, to which he took it, and they started swinging all around the place.
(Performage Trapeze Magician: Fusion - Level 7 - Light Spellcaster - Attack: 2500. Defense: 2000.)
Everyone looked in awe as they saw what they thought was impossible. A hologram of Trapeze Magician is touching and moving along with Dennis almost like it was alive. It was almost mesmerizing.
Before anyone could question it, Dennis pointed out, "And since I control 3 monsters instead of 2, your monster's attack points are no longer doubled!"
Alexis grinned as she pointed out the upside of it, "You are correct, but Cyber Blader's effect when you control 3 monsters activates! You can no longer activate Monsters, Spells or Traps!"
Cyber Blader: 4200 - 2100 attack points
"Well that's fine by me, since any of my monsters would attack you for game! And how about we show you the spectacular finale! Trapeze Magician, Shadowmaker and Trapeze Witch! Attack her Cyber Blader and finish the duel with Dramatic Finish!" said Dennis as all of his monster nodded.
Trapeze Magician dropped from the rope with the other two Performage Fusion monsters. From the wand of Trapeze Magician appeared a rainbow and was shot at the Cyber Blader, with a rainbow blast appearing from the hands of Trapeze Witch and Shadowmaker moved at the speed of light to cut Cyber Blader.
"Alexis!" yelled the ones rooting for the Obelisk Blue.
"Amazing!" yelled the audience.
But before the attack could go through, Alexis had one more trick up her sleeve, "Not so fast! I activate my set card, Blader's Second Dance! If I have a Cyber Blader on my field and you have either 1 or 3 monsters on your side of the field, she gains the other effect on top of the effect she already has!"
Cyber Blader glew a green light as she raised an arm to protect herself, "And when you have 1 monster, she can't be destroyed by battle!"
"That doesn't matter, you still lose life points!" he yelled, not in an angry tone.
"Are you sure about that? Blader's Second Dance's other effect is that I don't take any more damage for the rest of the turn!" yelled Alexis as she raised her arm to protect herself from the rainbow blast from Trapeze Magician and Witch.
As soon as the blast was subdued everyone looked at the two, who were grinning at each other, "I gotta admit. This is fun." admitted Alexis.
"Really? Well I am glad that you enjoy this duel." The Entertainer Rider looked at the Trapeze Magician and allowed him some space so he could be with him, swinging away the stage, "Hey, don't worry buddy, at least you created a blast so everyone will remember it."
Trapeze Magician looked at him and returned him a smile.
Dennis nodded as he looked down at Alexis, "That's all that I could do. Your move."
Turn 5. Alexis - 200 lp - 1 card
Alexis looked at her hand and frowned, the only card she had left was a Ritual Spell card that didn't help her. She shook her head as she drew card and smiled, "I activate the Spell card, Graceful Charity! I get to draw 3 cards for the price of discarding 2 cards afterwards!"
She drew her cards and her eyes widened at a certain card and she grins as she took it and Cyber Prima to the graveyard, but the Spell returned again to her hand, "When Cyber Angel Shrine is sent to the graveyard due to the effect that isn't its own, I get to add it back to my hand!" she announced.
"I then activate the other effect of Shrine! I have to discard up 2 cards from my hand to the graveyard and then I can add either a Ritual monster or a Spell card, so I will send my Cyber Tutu so I can add a Ritual monster from my deck to my hand!" Alexis did so as she took out a specific card from her deck and smirked.
"Wait a minute she only has one monster on her field and she could've sent the other in her hand," Yusuke figured it out at the same time as Dennis, "You are going to Ritual summon right now?!"
"That's right! I activated the Machine Angel Ritual! For this summon I need at least level 6 for this summon and luckily for me I have a monster with exactly that! Sorry, Cyber Blader, but I need you for my Ritual summon!" A shrine appeared behind Alexis as her Cyber Blader went in.
Alexis began to chant, "From the calm nature of the Moon and the burning feeling of the Sun, a warrior that shakes mountains with a single swing is formed! I Ritual Summon! Fight along me, Cyber Angel Susanoo!" from the shrine came out a warrior that was not the same as the Cyber Blader, in fact it was the only male warrior.
The warrior wore a samurai styled armour that covered his entire body, but not his face. He had long black hair that was to his shoulders, imperial mustache and a beard under his chin. He also wore metal shoes to cover himself from battles. His skin was purple as with wings that were bigger than he was. He wore a sword that was powerful enough to even defeat gods as his sister in one hand and on the other was a sword that looked the same as the other, but it was a purple lightning shaped like one. He swung his sword, and if Dennis didn't duck he would have been decimated.
(Cyber Angel Susanoo: Ritual - Level 6 - Light Warrior - Attack: 2800. Defense: 1000.)
"Uh, who is the bad guy here? Since he doesn't look friendly!" yelled Chumley as the rest either looked in awe at the powerful warrior or voiced their thoughts.
Crowler watched with a smile on his face, "Of course a student from a professor such as myself, I wasn't shocked that she could pull this off." he said as everyone else ignored him.
"So, that's one of her newer Ritual monsters, huh Zane?" asked Yusuke as he nodded.
"That's right, but from the looks from Dennis, it doesn't look like he will give up easily," Both of the Obelisk Blues looked at Dennis, who after dodging a powerful strike from Alexis' monster, didn't look worried, in fact, he looked like he can't wait for more of this.
"And since Susanoo is summoned onto the field, I get to add a Cyber Angel Ritual monster or a Ritual Spell card from my deck to my hand!" She took out her deck, took out a card and returned it back to her duel disk.
"His second effect activates! He can attack all of your monsters at once, but you take half of the amount you would take!" yelled Alexis as Dennis' eyes widened when he heard the news.
He looked at his hand and he realized one thing. He had nothing.
"It's time to battle! Cyber Angel Susanoo attack his Performage Trapeze Witch, Magician and Shadowmaker with Susanoo Kaguutsuchi!" From the hands of Susanoo appeared black flames that engulfed his swords. He swung them around right before clenching them and dashing towards the three monsters.
He slashed Shadowmaker with an electric looking sword which got electrocuted as he slashed Trapeze Witch creating a small explosion. Before Trapeze Magician and Dennis could see where Susanoo was, from the dust of the explosion jumped Susanoo and slashed Magician, making Dennis fall from the rope ladder. He landed on his stomach which everyone cringed.
Dennis: 1400 - 1300 - 1100 - 850 life points
Alexis: 200 lp
Alexis breathed out, "I end my turn with that." she then looked at Dennis trembling, "Hey, are you okay?" she asked as she saw the mask broken with a wicked smile on his face.
Turn 6. Dennis - 850 lp - 2 cards
"Okay?" he asked as he laughed, "Oh I am just peachy!" he stood up as he saw the only things that were with him when he was all alone being destroyed in his eyes. "In fact, I am glad that I don't feel bad for this! I draw!"
He drew his card and his smile turned into the most terrifying expression anyone will ever see in their life. "Doctor Crowler," the Obelisk Blue headmaster shrieked when the Entertainer Rider said his name, "You play Ancient Gears, don't you?"
Crowler gulped, "Ye-Yes I do, but why are you asking me?"
Dennis grinned eye to eye, "Because of this! I activate the Spell card, Chaos Ancient Gear Fusion!" He inserted the card in his duel disk.
"WHAT?!" everyone watching the duel yelled at the same time as they just heard a card used by the good doctor by a Shadow Rider.
"That's right! When this card is activated, I have to discard my Polymerization from my hand," he did so, "And then I get to special summon Fusion materials from my Deck or Extra Deck for an Ancient Gear monster from my deck by banishing monsters from my graveyard that were special summoned from the Extra Deck!" His two Shadowmakers, Trapeze Witch and Magician all appeared onto the field as they were sucked in a vortex above them.
"I summon from my Deck or Extra deck Ancient Gear Hunting Hound, Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound, Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound and Ultimate Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!" all of the Ancient Gear Hunting Hounds appeared onto the field, only for them to be sucked in by a Purple-Red-Blue Spiral Vortex.
He then began to chant, "Mechanized hounds from the original to the triple threats, come along to create a giant that shakes the Earth! I Fusion Summon! Appear, Chaos Ancient Gear Giant!" from the Spiral Vortex came out a machine with a dark purple colouring scheme. With shoulders, knees, legs, chest, head and arms looking like dogs that were used for the summon and a massive gear that was powering it on its back. It made the Ancient Gear Golem look like a toy in comparison. Its eyes glew yellow as soon as it was summoned.
(Chaos Ancient Gear Giant: Fusion - Level 10 - Dark Machine - Attack: 4500. Defense: 3000.)
Everyone looked in horror at the powerful beast and it looked like it could even destroy the all powerful Cyber End Dragon.
"Ho-how?" asked Crowler in shock, as he was too scared to even move from the spot.
"How what? You need to be specific." said Dennis.
"How do YOU have THAT CARD!" yelled Crowler, "That is one of my most powerful monsters and how do you have that!?"
"How do I have it? Well that is simple," he leaned in, "Remember Camula?" everyone that knew about the Shadow Riders eyes widened at the sound of that, "You do? That's great. When she defeated you, I took some cards from you, not all, but enough to improve my deck."
"Tha-that's horrible," muttered Alexis, but then she remembered the attack points, "Before you go into battle, I activate Shrine's final effect!" it popped out from the graveyard with a monster with it, "I can banish it and a Cyber monster from my graveyard so I gain attack points equal to the banished monster. I pick Cyber Blader." A blue aura appeared on Alexis.
Dennis: 850 lp
Alexis: 200 - 2300 life points
"So you survived the turn, but I can still inflict you damage! Chaos Ancient Gear Giant attack Cyber Angel Susanoo with Blast Of Darkness!" yelled The Entertainer Rider as his Fusion monster raised its hand and shot a massive blast that incinerated Susanoo, and it still didn't harm Alexis.
Dennis: 850 lp
Alexis: 2300 - 600 life points
She looked at her hand. Unlike the others, she wasn't harmed when she took the damage like Crowler or Zane, and like Bastion's duel, it was clear that the Shadow Rider didn't want to harm her, it was almost like he was playing a villain.
Dennis walked to the stage with his Fusion monster staying where it was, "That's all that I could do. Make your move, Key Keeper."
Turn 7. Alexis - 600 lp - 1 card
Alexis looked at the mighty monster in front of her, that was a monster that a duelist like Crowler uses, is now being used against her. She looked at her deck and she breathed in and out as she drew her card, she had a perfect card against that beast.
Dennis stepped forward, "Before you can start your plays, I have to mention that my Chaos Ancient Gear Giant can't be targeted or affected by Traps and Spells and since there isn't a whole lot of monsters with more than 4500 attack points, your only shot is to destroy it by a monster's effect." he smirked, but then he saw Alexis smiling.
"Really? Well good to know that I have the perfect counter for this! I activate my Ritual Spell, Machine Absolute Angel Ritual!" A shrine appeared behind Alexis as she took 2 cards from her graveyard.
"I can shuffle Warrior monsters from my graveyard that equal to the amount of Levels I need for my Ritual summon, and luckily I have 2 of them! I shuffle Blade Skater and Etoile Cyber!" Etoile Cyber and Blade Skater appeared behind Alexis as they were sucked in by the shrine.
Alexis then began to chant "From the anger of the Sun, a body of a being that can control its wrath and conquer it with her own strength is formed! I Ritual Summon! Show your Light, Cyber Angel Amaterasu!" From the shrine appeared her Ace monster. The goddess of the Sun wielding her sword, Kusanagi, in her hands with her white skin and hair, tight yellow suit and red gauntlets.
Most of the students took a step back as they remembered that monster from her Tag Team duel.
(Cyber Angel Amaterasu: Ritual - Level 8 - Light Fairy - Attack: 3200. Defense: 2400.)
"So, that's her ace," Yusuke may be the best duelist on the Island, but that doesn't mean he wasn't impressed with her skills and her monsters.
"That's right and this duel is about to be finished." stated Zane.
"Impressive monster, but tell me. How is that gonna win you the duel?" asked Dennis as Alexis replied with a smirk.
"Oh, that's easy for me to answer. I will activate Amaterasu's effect which allows me to destroy your Chaos Ancient Gear Giant, and if she does, you lose half of his attack points." she said as Dennis lowered his duel disk.
"Oh…I guess this is the end, huh?" asked Dennis with a smile.
Alexis returned the favour, "It is and I have to admit, it was a fun duel."
"Really?" She nodded, "That's good. I guess I can stop acting, since I have nothing left in my hand."
Most were taken aback by his words, but Crowler said, "Acting?"
"Yeah, I never really liked playing the bad guy since I realized that what I did to join them was only a spur of the moment. There is one upside to all of this." he said.
"And that is?" questions Chumley.
"Is that I enjoyed seeing all of you enjoying the duel. In my book, that is a victory." He smiled at everyone and then Alexis, "Now, why don't you give everyone here a spectacular finish so they will forever remember this in their heart!"
Alexis grinned, "I couldn't have said it better! Cyber Angel Amaterasu destroy Chaos Ancient Gear Giant with your effect! Go, Wrath Of The Sun!" Amaterasu raised her sword and from it, shot a beam of light directly at the Ancient Gear monster, melting it and then making a massive explosion.
Dennis bowed to everyone for enjoying the show.
Dennis: 850 - 0 life points
Alexis: 600 lp
ALEXIS RHODES: WINNER!
And just like that, the fourth Shadow Rider, The Entertainer Rider, Dennis McField, was defeated in a duel, a much less threatening duel, but a hard one nonetheless. The Key Keepers grew a new found respect for Dennis as he was the only one to fully respect his opponent to the fullest and only cared for making it fun.
Dennis dropped to his knees making everyone look at him, that wasn't leaving the room, in worry. "Is everything okay?" asked Zane as they got closer.
Dennis had a weak smile, "Yeah, yeah don't worry about that, but I have two things to say," he took a breather, "Doctor Crowler, I am sorry for taking your cards, admittedly I think your cards are really awesome and I wanted them in my deck so you can have them back. And secondly, it's about the next Shadow Rider."
Everyone's eyes widened at the sound, but let him continue, "I can't reveal too much information, but I have to tell all of you that you shouldn't underestimate him. He is a buddy of mine, but that doesn't mean he will go easy on you. He is one of the toughest ones and he has somethi…thing that you don't…" he fell unconscious as Chumley caught him.
"I will bring him into the infirmary." said Chumley as the rest stood there as they realized how the last 3 Shadow Riders, will be the toughest ones to defeat.
They wondered what they meant by him, but they didn't. New cards? Possibly, but not likely. Powers? They all had these Shadow Charms that didn't affect the duel whatsoever. So what could it be?
Could it be a…new Summoning Method?
At Sheppard's office
Sheppard was done watching the duel between Alexis Rhodes and the Shadow Rider, and while he did enjoy the duel and Shadow Rider, he was glad that Alexis managed to pull through.
There was a big issue. 4 of the 6 current Key Keepers weren't there, but he was glad to hear that they were with Anacis and Cutter, two relatively easy to beat duelists. They could have beaten them and are currently at boats.
He realized that only 1 of the 4 defeated Shadow Riders were able to defeat a Key Keeper, and thought to himself, "Could they have been…sending their weakest ones first to give us a false sense of security?"
If he thought about it, that was a good strategy and extremely likely due to the words of the defeated Shadow Rider.
That thought grew every minute and just the thought of his students losing to the Shadow Riders was enough to get him uneasy.
He then heard his phone ringing and he saw who it was and he snarled, "Not them." he said as he answered the phone call.
After a few minutes of the person he was talking to, and a little argument, there was an agreement, but unfortunately for him, one of the conditions wasn't there yet. "I have already told you two, he isn't here right now!"
"Fine! We will call you until he has returned, and don't even try to lie or," the man laughed, "the school will be destroyed, got it?"
"Yes, I do." Sheppard sighed.
"Good." the person ended the call.
Sheppard walked towards the glass, "I can't believe this would happen in a middle of a war. I just hope he arrives soon."
Somewhere in an unknown location
"Dennis lost. Didn't he?" said the green haired boy, as he was sad and angry that his friend lost so early.
"It appears so." said Amneal as the purple haired boy gave his two cents.
"I can't believe that all of them would just lose. I mean, we sent 4 of them, but we only managed to get 1. I swear, just send me there and it will be over for them." grinned the purple haired boy as he loved just the idea of crushing their dreams with his 3 monsters.
"You know you can't do that unless-"
"Unless I am defeated, right?" asked the green haired boy as the purple haired boy leaned in his chair.
"Of course I do. I was just giving suggestions. Don't get cranky with me, ol' buddy of mine."
The green haired boy clenched his fist into a ball, wanting to attack him, but Amneal stopped that thought, "Please, do not fight, but you do prove a point, it is your move now. When will you strike?"
The green haired boy thought about that and then answered it by "When they are all in a spot with as little people as possible."
Amneal nodded, "Alright, you may proceed."
The green haired duelist stood up, as he heard his dragon roaring in excitement, "Calm down, you will get to duel them soon enough. You need to be patient, alright?" his dragon gave out a small whine, "Good. Let's go." he walked out of the room.
3 days later
It's been a total of 3 days since Bastion, Chazz, Celina and Jaden left, and Syrus was sadder than ever. Was he angry at Jaden? Yes.
Was he sad that he didn't get to sleep on a bed? Yes
But that didn't really mean that he wanted Jaden to go. He was his first ever friend, Atticus, Yusuke and Zane don't count, and he just let him go away, without ever saying goodbye.
The last time he ever saw him was when he said he didn't have a friend. What a horrible way to say goodbye.
Zane looked over to the lighthouse as he saw his younger brother, sad. He walked towards his little brother, "Syrus, what are you doing here alone?" he asked.
"Oh nothing Zane, its…I just wanted some time alone." he answered to his big brother.
"Sy," he said as he walked over, "Is it because of him?"
Syrus sighed, "Yeah, it is."
"Sy, you don't need to worry about it."
"Zane, no offense, but I think that I have to worry about it. He was my best friend, the first ever friend that I made by myself, and then I…I told him that he wasn't my friend, and I just can't believe that I said that." Syrus looked at his hand as he felt a hand on his shoulder.
He looked over and saw his brother give him a calm, gentle, warm smile that he usually never sees, "Sy, I think Jaden has already forgiven you."
"How can you be so certain, Zane?" he asked.
"Because he reminds me of Atticus. He was just like him. Energetic, loud, annoying, but at the same time friendly, charming and overall a nice guy. Whenever we had fights, sure we were angry at each other, but that doesn't mean we hated each other. Fights happen and when you say something like that, sure it stings, but the person knows that you truly didn't really mean that." Zane looked at him, "I should know. Trust me, I am surprised that we are still friends. An argument is bound to happen, no matter the friendship."
"So…so you are saying that me and Jay are still friends?" he asked.
"Yeah, of course you two are still friends." he said with a smile on his face.
Syrus smiled at his older brother, it was rare to see this from Zane of all people comforting someone, but it was always nice to see him do it. "Thanks, big bro."
"Don't mentio- Hey, is that a boat?" Syrus looked at where Zane said that and his eyes widened. It was them!
The ones that went to duel those pirates!
"Hey guys! Sorry that we got kidnapped!" yelled Jaden as Chazz yelled at him.
"We? No, you idiot! You and Celina got kidnapped! We only were with you when we knew that they lied to us!" he yelled as Celina joined in.
"Yeah, you have to agree. We got kidnapped…by pirates," Celina sighed as she rubbed her temples as Bastion continued to use the boat, "What is this place?"
After a couple of minutes of driving the boat, they landed on the shore. Syrus tackled Jaden in a hug, Bastion said that he was about to go take a shower, Celina explained that they kicked Annacis and Cutter in the shins to escape and then went to the showers.
As Chazz tried to walk to his dorm room, he was stopped by Zane. "What?"
"Chancellor Sheppard needs to talk to you." Chazz raised an eyebrow as Zane continued, "It is because of your brothers." he widens his eyes.
"Oh no." Chazz thought.
Authors Note:
And done! A quick 10k chapter that took me 2 weeks to finish cause of school! Sorry about that.
Anyways, Dennis McField/MackField (Why the change dub?) is here and finished by Alexis Rhodes. He was a fun character to write and his backstory is…hard to talk about. His duels with Shay, Gong and Kite are extremely nice to watch and I have to agree that he was one of the most interesting characters with an interesting betrayal story (It would have been perfect if it wasn't spoiled like 30 episodes beforehand). His deck style is weird. Using XYZ monsters and Pendulum monsters in the show made it almost impossible to write the duel without him using Performapals, and I didn't want to write that so I decided to make his monsters into Fusion monsters cause of GX. He is not out of the story, he will make cameos in later chapters so stay tuned.
I decided to add Yusho Sakaki and George Gore/Go Onizuka into it. Yusho is a no brainer, but I have 3 reasons why I added Gore into his flashback. 1. In the sub of VRAINS he was known as a charisma duelist. 2. I want to add him in the story since I like his character (Even after killing Earth) and 3. He shares the same VA as Dennis and Ryoken in the English Dub.
I am currently on Episode 76 of Vrains, and I need a Soulburner deck. A one with his Emerald Eagle and Violet Chimera, please. Currently loving it. Poor Earth and Aqua. I want to write how Skye gets Aqua and how Akira promises her that he won't tell anyone else about the Ignis, which OFC he wouldn't say to another soul.
Next chapter is, you guessed it, Chazz and his brothers with a guest! I can't wait to write the next Shadow Rider duel since it contains two of my personal favs.
That's about it. See ya later!
Altered and Made Up cards:
All of the Performages: Turned into Fusion monsters.
Level Fusion: Wanted to make Shadowmaker.
Reincarnation Fusion: Based on Soulburner's skill(Not Burning Draw) and my original plan of De-Fusion and Poly wouldn't have worked.
Blader's Second Dance: Protection for Cyber Blader.
Cyber Angel Shrine: A perfect card, with an effect that might be too broken.
Cyber Angel Susanoo: Combined from the Myth and from Naruto.
(I think that is it.)
