Guest (2): Thank you and I do think that was a satisfying duel at the end of the arc. Some things about Haou will be different and how he acts and I do want to have 1 special short duel with him and the way he is taken out, but won't be gone from the story at all.
ToBlazePurple: Thanks, and I worked really hard on it! I wanted to make sure that Kagemaru was the strongest character, to this point, so I wanted to make him as terrifying as possible, and I always wanted to add the Supreme King early in the story. Kagemaru isn't going to walk straight for months.
It has been a week since the final duel against Kagemaru and Jaden Yuki, aka the war between the Shadow Riders and The Key Keepers, and it was officially almost 2 more weeks until the graduation of the the third years and everyone will go to different years if they pass their final exams, to the misfortune of a certain brown haired, brown eyed Elemental Hero duelist as for the first time in… this year, they have seen him reading and studying something and before an exam because he says that his parents will kill him if he doesn't pass this.
They don't know if he meant literally or metaphorically, but judging how serious he was when he said that, they believed the former. Luckily for him, he had the help of Bastion, Yusuke and Alexis to help him in this because Chazz was either in his room studying or with Kite, Syrus had like 16 mental breakdowns, yes Bastion counted, Zane was busy with his own thing and Celina tried, and I said, tried her hardest to help him with studying, but after 5 different headaches she stopped and began walking around Duel Academy for couple of hours to cool herself off from accidentally murdering someone.
Basically they had to learn about the past of several pharoahs in the past like Abidos The Third, who was said to never lose a single duel in his lifetime, Pharaoh Atem, who looked suspiciously like Yugi Muto, and Priest Seto who was actually the cousin of Atem, how Duel Academy was founded and Duel Monsters itself, Maximilion Pegasus' entire life and the story about Duelist Kingdom, the story about The Seal Of Orichalcos, Battle City and even a tournament when one of the Siegfrieds dueled the King Of Games.
They even had to learn about Seto Kaiba's older step-brother Noah Kaiba and his weird network system similar to one of the Network Systems that SOL Tech is currently making by the name of Link VRAINS. With amazing coincidence, Seto was collaborating with them, as long as there were flying dragons around it.
People always forget that Kaiba has a massive dragon fetish. Maybe he was the one who made the Dragon Maiden cards. Oh god, those poor workers.
That was not even mentioning that they had to look over the amount of rulings like missing the timing, inherent summon, omni negates, how Tag Teams duels work, how Triangle duels differ, how Trap monsters could take over some spaces for the monster slot and Spell and Trap slots, but then only the monster slots, while also talking about some dueling terms like spinning a card, a brick, vanillas etc.
This game is getting complicated each day. What's next, a full board with at least 5 negates? Like that will ever happen.
Meanwhile, at this very moment, Zane was finally finished with the final duel against someone for the graduation duel. You see every year, every seniors gets to duel at least 100 duelists and the first one to do so and with the most amount of wins, including getting the best grade possible in their exam tests, they get to duel anyone for the graduation duel.
It was a tradition as old as, well, the first year of Duel Academy when it was first fonded by Seto Kaiba, since he wanted his students to have the best possible duel for the end of the year to either prepare themselves for the Pro League, working for Industrial Illusions, SOL Tech or Kaiba Corp, or for a better future for an individual in general.
It was the most hyped up duel in the entire school year, that wasn't the School Duel, because the students wanted to see the best of the best duel each other out in a spectacular fashion so they could hype other juniors or sophomores into trying their best so they could be the final ones to duel in their last years or even just to give out a show for everyone before they can leave this island.
They even heard rumours that Seto Kaiba records those duels, and asks for the duelists for the consent to send the duel to sponsors like famous brand companies like Coca-Cola, Hetap and more, so the duelists could have a better future and be wealthy enough so they could retire early. Truth be told, while he did look scary and cold to most people, he had a soft spot for children since it reminded him of his dark past when he and his younger brother were in an orphanage.
Zane Truesdale was no stranger to these types of duels since he was a part of them and he soon would be the only one in Duel Academy history where he was in all three of the graduation duels while he was studying there. He wasn't being cocky when he said that, he truly knows that would be the case since, while not being rude to anyone else, almost no one can stand up to him, even the seniors.
Key word: almost.
He did have a number of opponents that he could see surpassing him and be more powerful than him in the short future, and almost all of them were juniors, and the one that was the same age as him, was also a junior by a technicality. He wanted to duel them the most, and there was no offense to the others, especially to Mizar Jinlong, but his skills aren't as sharp as them.
Especially a certain brown haired, brown eyed Elemental Hero duelist, his best friend and his younger brother, but he had to choose which one for the graduation duel, so it will be a tough call for him.
The ones that did challenge him to a graduation duel were in his first year was Cal Kolter, who was his superior to almost everything, but cooking, and in his second year was Bruno Antinomy, the best computer expert Duel Academy has ever seen.
They were unexciting, not that they were bad duelists in any way of the word, but it was at a dark time of his life where two of his best friends disappeared from this world and he never felt the same, which is why his last graduation duel was going to be the first one where he was excited for.
Just the thought of being the last person he will ever duel before the Pro Leagues is just getting him excited and he wanted to see the potential of one more person before he goes to it, and to challenge them once more during the Pro Leagues once more.
He was already set up with a person by the name of Nico Smiley, who is one of the best possible managers on the planet as he has one of the most popular duelists in the current moment by the name of The Sledgehammer, or Strong Ishijima by his real name, who is clearing a lot of the pro Duelists with his Battleguard deck. But he swore he wore a mustache similar to that of Charlie Chaplin, but he guessed he decided to make it look like a normal mustache.
Safe to say, he had a bright future and it was like he was destined to be a good future, and he hoped to have a great vision for a good legacy. He swore he could tell something was following him as he turned around, but to no hope, he didn't see anything, not even two sets of glowing blue eyes.
Like said before, he dueled over a 100 duelists in the span of a couple of hours and safe to say, he is confident that he will be the one getting his own graduation duel. Zero loses and a 100 wins, it was no wonder why he is titled as the Kaiser of Duel Academy. The last people he defeated were all four of the Barians, Mizar Jinlong, Alito Alioth, Girag Kiraku and Dumon Durbe as they were all defeated in a short while.
Speaking of the Barians, and everyone else who have been missing for the past 2 years or even longer, they were rightfully confused on how they have returned, both them and everyone else.
Well it turns out that during Kagemaru's duel against the Final Keeper, the energy that Armityle and the Sacred Beasts were sucking up weren't just from Jaden and the duel spirits all around the planet, but also the spirits of every soul that was taken or were more or less missing, and when Electrum sliced up Armityle and vaporized the Sacred Beasts, the holograms, not the cards, all of the energy dispersed were they originally came from, like the energy from Jaden, all of the Duel Spirits from all over the world and the missing students.
When they found out about the incident, Sheppard rightfully called the families of all the students that were missing, and the families came and picked them up after an emotional reunion and they went home which they were there until yesterday as Sheppard and Crowler promised them that they will be looking a close eye on all of their students from now own.
Sadly, to Zane, Yusuke and especially Alexis, Atticus Rhodes hasn't returned to Duel Academy which they understood that and they felt horrible that he can't return, but they will try and look on at life and try to move on from his loss as he will always be in their hearts until they take their last breath.
Zane was currently in the forest, walking towards his dorm room, as he looked at his deck to which his ace monster Cyber End Dragon was at the top with a small smile, "It's…insane to think that this will be the last 2 weeks of me being a student at Duel Academy, as it feels like it was only yesterday I was a freshman with Yusuke and Atticus, but at the same time, those days without them felt like lightning as it all happened so fast. I hope you are alright, Atticus. I hope you have a better future Yusuke." he thought to himself with a rare smile on his face to the stoic boy.
The Kaiser looked at all of the cards in his deck as he tried to figure out which cards will work for the graduation duel as he stopped at Ultimate Retrieval, a card with an image of both Cyber Dragon and Red-Eyes Black Dragon both roaring in pain as they retrieved from a blast from Judgement Dragon. He smiled as he remembered Atticus adding the card in his deck for the specific purpose of taking down his monsters and his field like it was yesterday.
Zane was currently standing with his arms crossed and his eyes narrowed as he was slightly shorter than he was currently as Atticus stood there with a sweats going down to his face and gritted teeth as it was a usual duel between them with Yusuke sitting down on the ground with his hands on his head.
Turn 7.
Zane: 1800 lp - 0 cards
Field: Cyber End Dragon, Chimeratech Rampage Dragon,
Atticus: 500 lp - 0 cards
Field: No monsters, no Spells and Traps.
"So Atticus, you have survived the turn by activating Threatening Roar, but how do you think you are going to get past my monsters?" asked Zane as he raised his eyebrows.
Atticus laughed, "Well that's quite easy, Zane! I have a card in my deck that I added quite recently! And you are going to love it! Trust me!" he said as he peaked Yusuke and Zane's attention.
A card that can get past his two powerful monsters? Well they would love to see it.
"Oh really? I would like to see it, I end my turn." he said.
Turn 8. Atticus - 500 lp - 0 cards
"Alright! Here goes!" he said as he drew the top card of his deck and flipped it with a smile, "Great! I activate the Spell, Final Offguard! If I have lower life points and you are the only person that has a monster from the Extra Deck, I get to draw 2 cards from my deck!" he did so as then, a grin appeared on his face.
"I got it!" He turned to his best friend as he inserted the card in his hand, "I activate the Spell, Ultimate Retrieval!" he yelled as they were confused.
"Ultimate Retrieval? That's quite a new card." said Zane as Yusuke looked at the new card.
"I have never heard of it." admitted Yusuke as Atticus grinned.
"Well you are going to love this! This card has pretty strict prices for it, but it has the best pay off! This card allows me to skip my Battle Phase, I am no longer available to summon anything for the rest of the turn, I can not activate any more effects for the rest of the turn and I pay half of my life points." he said as they were all shocked on why he would activate a card with such high costs.
Zane: 1800 lp
Atticus: 500 - 250 life points
"So the main show can now be presented! This card makes it so all of our cards on the field get shuffled into our decks!" he yelled as their eyes widened from the shock of the effect.
"What?!" yelled both of them as Cyber End Dragon and Chimeratech Rampage Dragon both roared in agony as they disappeared from the field.
Zane sighed as he took the cards from his duel disk and placed them in his Extra Deck.
"Finally, I took down that thing." said Atticus with a small grin.
"Well, I have to admit, I was shocked by the prices, but looking at how it payed off, I think you made the right decision to add that card in your deck." said Zane.
"I have to agree, Atticus, despite the risks, you used the card to your full advantage." said Yusuke.
"I am getting praised by my two best friends!? It must be Christmas!" he said as he placed his hand on his forehead dramatically as they both rolled their eyes. After a minute or so, Atticus stopped being dramatic and took a card from his hand, "I will end my turn with a face down." a card was set vertically on this empty field.
Turn 9. Zane - 1800 lp - 0 cards
As soon as Zane drew the top card in his deck, Atticus thrusted his hand, "I activate my Trap, Red-Eyes Spirit! This card allows me to special summon my Red-Eyes from the grave!" he yelled as then on his field appeared one of the most famous dragons in all of Duel monsters.
(Red-Eyes Black Dragon: Level 7 - Dark Dragon - Attack: 2400. Defense: 2000.)
Zane looked at the monster with interest as he could tell that Atticus loved the monster dearly, like Yusuke was with Honest, as he took a card from his hand that was close to him as well.
"Since you control a monster, and I don't, I get to special summon my Cyber Dragon in defense mode." he said as his trusty monster appeared in an X position.
(Cyber Dragon: Level 5 - Light Dragon - Attack: 2100. Defense: 1600.)
"I end my turn." said Zane as he knew that this wasn't a good defense since he knows that his deck has monsters with 1800 or more attack, but it wasn't a bad one.
Turn 10. Atticus - 250 lp - 0 cards
Atticus drew the top card in his deck and looked at it, as then a smile appeared on his face, knowing something bad is about to happen for Zane, "Looks like I have one more win on my belt, huh?" Both Zane and Yusuke raised their eyebrows as Atticus inserted the card he just drew.
"I activate Inferno Fire Blast!" he said as Zane grew a small smile on his side of the field and Yusuke stood up, "If I control a Red-Eyes Black Dragon on my side of the field, you lose a total of 2400 life points! And looks like I have enough to defeat you, huh?" he asked as Zane dropped his duel disk as red fire appeared from the dragon and blasted towards Zane, creating a small explosion as the dust settled and Zane stood there with a small smile on his face.
Zane: 1800 - 0 life points
Atticus: 250 lp
ATTICUS RHODES: WINNER!
"Ahh, Yes! I won the duel! Take that Zane!" yelled Atticus as he boasted to his best friend as Yusuke stood up with a smile on his face.
"Yeah, yeah, but good game though." he said, showing good sportsmanship.
"Good game." he said as they both shook their hands together.
Zane had a rare smile on his face, and to have a smile on Kaiser's face is rare to the point the people that know him have him smiling a handful of times, he missed seeing his best friend, but he was glad that at least one of them were here, but he didn't notice that he bumped into a certain indigo haired duelist.
"Oh sorry."
"Sorry." they both said at the same time as they walked in their directions.
They then stopped.
They turned around.
"I didn't see you there." they both said at the same time.
A minute passed.
"Okay that was awkward." said Celina as the Kaiser of Duel Academy nodded with her as she looked at her, "Wait, why are you here? You are usually at the lighthouse at this time." she asked as Zane looked at her weirdly.
"How do you know that? Are you stalking me?" he asked as Celina looked at him weirdly.
"No, why on Earth would you ask that question? And secondly, Yusuke told us that." she answered as Zane clicked his tongue.
"Ahh, that makes sense." He wishes he was good at communicating like Atticus, but nonetheless he has to answer her question. "Well to answer your question, I was done with the preparations for the graduation duel for Duel Academy," Celina nodded with that as she did hear about talk about the duel at the last day of the school year, right before the graduation party, "And with it, I have finished all of my duels. All 100 of them."
Celina looked at him in shock, "You defeated 100 people in one day?" she looked at him, impressed, shocked, amazed and every other emotion she could feel at that moment.
Zane nodded with a small grin on his face. Despite being a person that really doesn't like to show off, he still felt pride in his dueling skills in order to defeat 100 people in one day. "That's right, and it wasn't even the first time I dueled that number of people in one day." he said a fact. It was the day he returned to Duel Academy after his first graduation duel where he dueled that number of people in one day.
Celina had her mouth in the shape of an O as she heard that, "Damn… just… just damn. Respect." she said as Zane nodded with her.
"Yeah, but why are you here?" he asked as she looked at him.
"Oh, final exams and I decided to take a walk to clear my mind." she said as Zane nodded, knowing just how stressful those exams can be as he remembered sleeping for an entire day the day he finished those exams.
"Good, good, you should have that as I for the life of me can not recommend anyone those exams, and don't ask about the test answers, I can't remember anything from that except for that time I slept the entire day." said Zane as Celina nodded her head, as she felt he read her mind about that.
Plus she doubts that Bastion would even let them cheat since he is all about knowledge and seeing someone cheat on anything is like someone spat on his mother's grave.
"Dang it." she said as she then had a thought. This would be a good time to ask for a certain request since during the entire school year she wanted to have this request. She wanted to test how her skills have improved the entire year, since if she doesn't right now, she would have a couple of years to have the same match. "Hey, Zane."
"Hmm?" he turned to her.
"Can we duel?" she asked the Kaiser Of Duel Academy for a duel as he looked at her, an emotion that is almost impossible to describe or to predict, something that everyone has grown to get used to.
"Why is that?" Zane asked Celina as he didn't have anything against that.
"Well, its that…I kinda want to see how much of my skill have improved during this entire year, since I knew that if I dueled you then you would have destroyed me, but I wanted to see how much I improve. And after the incident with that Shadow Rider, and that you lost in that duel, I wanted to see if I could, possibly, win." she said as Zane looked at her and sighed.
"Sorry, but no." he said as Celina dropped her head as then he had a grin on his face as he thought about an idea. "Besides, why don't you ask your boyfriend for a duel, I am pretty sure he would love one." he said as Celina looked at him, confused.
"Who are you talking about? I don't have a boy-" her eyes widened when she realized who he was talking about as she turned into bright red, "Jaden's not my boyfriend!"
"Oh, how did you know I was talking about him?" he asked with a smirk on his face as Celina's eyes widened once more.
"Lucky guess! That's all!" she yelled in protest.
"Then why did you blush when he was a hula dancer?"
"It was more of a shock than anything!"
"And what about that almost kiss that Chazz ruined?"
"It was a spur of the moment thing!"
"Oh so you wanted to kiss him if Chazz didn't interrupt?" he asked with a smirk as if Celina's eyes widened one more time, her eyes would have fallen off her face.
"No! I meant that- It was more of a- HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND!" she yelled so hard that all of Duel Academy heard that.
Somewhere in the Slifer Red dorm dining room where there were a lot of books about the final exams and where Yusuke, Bastion, Alexis and Jaden were studying also heard that.
"Huh? Was that Celina?" asked Yusuke.
"I believe so," said the Golden Eggwich of Ra.
"Who was she talking about that isn't her boyfriend?" asked a person that I think everyone knows who I am talking about.
Bastion, Alexis, Yusuke, Chazz, Kite, Syrus, Chumley, Dennis, all of Slifer Red students, the rest of the Ra Yellow students, the rest of Obelisk Blue, all of the teachers, Honest and Chancellor Sheppard all facepalmed at the same time.
Bubbleman laughed. Avian and Burstinatrix shook their heads. Clayman was confused about the whole love thing.
Winged Kuriboh, all 3 of the Hero Kids and the rest of the Elemental Heroes have to stop Flame Wingman and Necro Gardna from killing Celina. It was funny to see the leader of the Elemental Heroes, the one that barely talks at all, be so overprotective of Jaden. Not that they blame him.
Back to the one that yelled so hard that the entire island could hear them, Celina calmed down as her face returned to her natural colours as Zane still had his grin on his face. "He's not…" she took a deep breath, "We are not together, and I don't plan that." she said as Zane nodded.
"Yeah, right. And I have a yacht." Zane said, sarcastically.
Celina gripped her fist, she was this close to hit on the face, but she remained calm. "Also, asking him for a duel won't work right now because Yusuke, Bastion and Alexis are helping him the entire time and I do not see them allowing him to duel at this moment."
"Wait, Jaden is studying?" asked Zane.
"Yeah, I know." she said.
There was silence in the air.
"Has Kagemaru summoned the Sacred Beasts for the 2nd time so the end of the world has started?" asked Zane as Celina shrugged.
"Possibly, I have no idea." she said truthfully.
It was silent for a minute or so as Zane sighed, "Well, good luck on your exams and I have to go to my dorm room."
"So can we still duel?" she asked as Zane shook his head.
"No."
Suddenly an idea appeared for Celina as she had a grin on her face, "Why? Are you a chicken?"
Zane stopped as he looked at her with a cold glare, "I am not a chicken."
"Oh really, then why won't you accept the duel?"
"Because I have better things to do."
"Oh yeah, right. Like running away from a duel that the Kaiser won't accept."
"You are pushing your luck."
Celina placed her hands on her hips and flapped them like they were wings and said to the Kaiser of Duel Academy with a shit eating grin, "Bok, bok."
"Real mature."
"Bok, bok."
Zane decided he was far too mature for this as he began walking to his dorm, with Celina behind him continuing to say, "Bok, bok." much to his annoyance as he began to get angrier and angrier.
Five minutes have passed and she is having too much fun, "Bo-" "ALRIGHT FINE! YOU ARE GETTING THAT DUEL!" yelled Zane as he turned around to see she was done with that.
"Ahh, but it was getting fun." she said with a grin.
"Shut the fu-" Zane took a breather for a second, "Alright, meet me at the lighthouse, and you will get your duel." he said as he saw the duel disk on Celina's arm that was on the entire time, "Or second thought, just go with me as I see you have a duel disk on your hand. Seriously, how did I not see that?"
Celina had a smirk, "Great. I can't wait for that duel." she said as she followed Zane to the lighthouses.
With Chazz and Kite
Kite Tenjo was currently with Chazz, who over the following week after the Shadow Rider war had ended, in the bathroom to get all of the clothes from him, and Kite, in the washing machine. They were in the Obelisk Blue dorm since Kite has access to it. Dennis wasn't there as he was currently helping Doctor Crowler with grading the tests of some of the students as he had the answers given to him by Crowler.
Chazz wanted help with Kite since he knew that out of everyone that he knew, he knew that Kite would be the one to judge the least and to help him out the most, since if he was honest with everyone, he didn't do laundry in his entire life so it was a new thing for him.
The last time he did some laundry by himself, he made his only black jacket white which for some reason gave him bad vibes, but luckily for him he was able to get to the original colours without anyone seeing it.
Kite, despite making Lillybot do most of the cleaning, actually knew a fair amount of how to clean clothes, in fact he was the only of the Shadow Riders to even know about it so he was the one who was responsible for the clean clothing and for the food.
They were actually in the bathroom as they all placed the clothes into one basket and walked towards the washing machine. Kite was telling all the basics on how to clean your clothes while also wearing a new outfit. He was wearing a black V net shirt with brown tight pants with blue shoes.
And then he told him the basics on how to clean your clothes, as he placed all of them in a single file in order for the best possible result, took the proper amount of detergent and placed it in the washing machine, picked the correct temperature and wash cycle and picked it as they all began to clean. He then told him that they won't be automatically clean, so they have to dry it out before using them, so he said that they have to wait until they are done and get an iron so they can be dry.
All the while, Chazz listened to every word that Kite told him with a smile on his face as he felt safe, warm and relaxed whenever he was around as he never felt that around Slade and Jagger, he felt protected as he looked at Kite with a smile. It was like that Kite was his big brother.
With The Barians
"I still can't believe it." said the leader of the group known as the Barians as he had a sandwich in his hands as he took a bite. He was known as Mizar Jinlong. He had long yellow hair that went down to his biceps, with dark blue eyes, red face paint that no one dared to ask why he even has that and a massive yellow earring on his left ear. He wore the standard Obelisk Blue uniform.
"Believe what, Mizar?" asked Girag Kiraku as he had a good jelly filled donut which looked like rice in a ball. He was the biggest one of them all, as he had a darker tan than the others and big pink lips. He had orange eyes and the only part of the hair that didn't look undercut was the top which was a mohawk that was green. He also had an impressive build and wore the inverted Obelisk Blue uniform.
"I think what he was talking about, Girag," the much more leaner of the two leaned on the statue with a smirk as he had some dango in his hands, "is that we were gone for a total of two years and that we are now all, with the exception of our little freshman, are becoming the seniors of this school." said the one with the darkest tan of the 4. He was Alito Alioth. He had green eyes and dark hair that was the shape of an octopus. He had several rings around his fingers and even a necklace. He wore the standard Obelisk Blue uniform.
"It is quite shocking, but at the same time, it is good that we are back, right guys?" asked the youngest out of the group, Dumon Durbe. He was the thinnest out of all of them, but he was still respected by his friends. He had gray hair and gray eyes while also wearing glasses. He wore the inverted Obelisk Blue uniform. He had a sandwich which had some fish in it that was from the crate with the Golden Eggwich, which Bastion got it, once again.
The rest nodded with each other as they agreed what Dumon said, it is good to be back.
"It is interesting that we pretty much haven't been here for 2 years, come back, and then graduate in another year," said Mizar.
"I can't believe that Zane will graduate before us." said Alito with a raised eyebrow.
"It isn't that shocking honestly. I mean," Mizar took a bite of his sandwich, "he did have some of the highest grades out of all of us, and his skills as a duelist is second to none."
"Not to mention he beat us all, one by one." said Girag as they all bit their lips as they remembered the one sided ass whopping he gave them.
"I honestly hope that the Galaxy-Eyes archetype has got new cards. I would love to use them." said Mizar.
"Same here with my Battling Boxers, but wouldn't be shocked if they didn't." he said as he rolled his eyes as he remembered the last time he saw support for his monsters.
"Hey, as long as they banned that horrible card known as Mystic Mine, I would be happy any day of the week if my cards don't get support in a million years." said Dumon as everyone shuddered in the name of that horrible card. Just the mere mention of that card gave everyone at least 3 different Vietnam flashbacks.
"You're right, I would also be happy if it did." said Alito as he hoped to dear Ra that the card was banned.
"I would sell all of my Galaxy-Eyes for that card to be banned without a second question." said Mizar as he looked at Girag who was scratching his neck in embarrassment as he had a small blush on his face.
"Hey, guys." they all turned to him, "Do you guys think that Scarlett Starling published a new song or two?" he asked as Alito and Mizar groaned.
"Really dude?"
"You ask that question?" they both ask him that question at the same time.
Dumon scratched his cheek as he thought about it, "I dunno, I think she did." Girag looked at him with excitement in his eyes as he looked at him, "Let's check and the banlist." he said as Girag grabbed him in his arms and he began running to the library.
Alito and Mizar looked at each other before they shrugged and began walking towards them.
With Zane and Celina
After a couple of minutes of walking to the lighthouse, and them talking about the War Arc in My Hero Academia and how much of a great villain Shigaraki is, they finally arrived. It was kind of nostalgic to come here since it was the first time they have ever met there and her watching him dueled the Slifer Red.
But this time, she won't lose like him, she promises that she is going to win and if she doesn't, well, she will give it her all in this duel.
"Are you ready for this, Celina? I am not holding back, and remember, you are the one that wanted this." said Zane as he placed his duel disk on him as Celina grinned at him.
"Of course. I always wanted to see how I would fare against you." she said as Zane had a small smile on his face.
"Okay, but don't say I didn't warn you." he said as they both readied their duel disks and they both yelled at the same time, "DUEL!"
Zane: 4000 lp
Celina: 4000 lp
Turn 1.
Both duelists drew their 5 cards as Zane looked at his opponent, "So who will go first?" asked Zane as Celina thought about it as she looked at her hand and the person she was dueling.
She knew that answer, her hand was suitable for going 2nd, and even her entire deck is suitable for that, and she knows that Cyber Dragons are also a going 2nd deck and his main monster allows him to special summon itself when he doesn't control any monsters so she looked at Zane with a confident smirk on her face, "You can go ahead and make the first move." she said.
Zane raised his eyebrows at that and had a small smile on his face as he realized what she was planning, "Clever, but not clever enough." he thought as he said, "Alright, I start!" he yelled as he drew the top card of his deck. He looked at his hand and took one card from it.
"I begin by normal summoning my Cyber Dragon Zwei in defense mode!" he yelled as on his side of the field appeared a Cyber Dragon that was smaller than the more well known one. Its top part of the body was more advanced than the original one, but it was less powerful. It had green energy on the top part that went towards the top body of it and even had green lining on its head. It has green eyes. It was in a lower position.
(Cyber Dragon Zwei: Level 4 - Light Machine - Attack: 1500. Defense: 1000.)
Celina narrowed her eyes at that monster, "A new Cyber Dragon card?" she asked as the Cyber Arts heir nodded.
"That's right, but it doesn't have the same effects like Herz or Core, but thanks to it, I get to special summon a Cyber Dragon Vier because a Cyber Dragon monster was summoned on side of the field!" Zane took a card from his hand and slammed it on his duel disk.
On his side of the field appeared a Cyber Dragon that was larger than Zwei and it was thicker. It had purple orbs around each metal part of the body that was in the shape of a sphere. Its face was more advanced than the original Cyber Dragon as it was smaller, more sleek, but less threatening. Around the body of the newly summoned monster was a purple aura that wasn't due to an effect, but like a small coding for the monster. It was in defense mode thanks to his own effect.
(Cyber Dragon Vier: Level 4 - Light Machine - Attack: 1100. Defense: 1600)
Celina narrowed her eyes at the monster. It was the same one he used against Yusuke when he was Nightshroud, but was quickly destroyed in the same turn before all of them arrived. She then swore she felt a dark presence near Zane when he summoned it, but she didn't see anything.
Zane pointed at his new Cyber Dragon, "Vier's effect activates! All of my Cyber Dragon monsters' attack and defense points gain an extra 500 point boost!" he yelled as his Vier roared as a continuous aura were around the two Cyber Dragons.
Cyber Dragon Vier: 1100 - 1600 attack points/ 1600 - 2200 defense points
Cyber Dragon Zwei: 1500 - 2000 attack points/ 1000 - 1500 defense points
Zane then took two cards from his hand, "I will end my turn after I set these two cards facedown." said Zane as two cards were set vertically behind Cyber Dragon Zwei and Vier.
Turn 2. Celina - 4000 lp - 5 cards
Celina narrowed her eyes at the current field, "Even while having the first turn, he still made a decent defense and summoned two monsters with great stats. No wonder he is called the Kaiser of Duel Academy." she then looked at her hand and smirked. She has a great way to destroy both of them.
"Alright. It's my turn now." she said as she drew the top card of her deck. She nodded, a card that will help a lot in her next turn, but first, she needs a way to get some new cards. She took a card from her hand, "I begin my normal summoning Lunalight Emerald Bird in attack mode!"
On her side of the field appeared a female that had light green skin, had dark green moon shapes that were on her knees, dark blue boots, a suit that was a mixture of orange around her stomach, green around her chest and blue around her hips, she also had light brown eyes and orange hair, while wearing a mask that covered one half of her face. She also had green wings around her hands.

She then took a card from her hand, "I now activate her effect! When she is summoned on my side of the field, I get to send 1 Lunalight card from my hand to my graveyard like my Purple Butterfly," she did so as she placed her hands on the top of her deck, "So I can now draw a card from my deck!" she did so as she drew a card from her deck.
Zane nodded as he glanced at his two set cards, and then back to her.
Celina nodded with her newly drawn card as then a card popped out of her graveyard, "I now activate the effect of my Purple Butterfly in my graveyard! I can banish it," she took the card and placed her in her pocket as she took another card from her hand, "So I can special summon a Lunalight monster from my hand, like my Lunalight Wolf!"
As then behind Celina came out a dark portal, it almost sounded like something out of a festival. From the portal a dark purple figure jumped out. The figure revealed itself. It had a dark purple skin with accessories all over her legs, like an amazoness. Around her hips was dark black fur, and around her chest and torso was dark green fur covering you know what. She wore a golden helmet covering her eyes. Her hair was the most noticeable part about the monster. It was green, black, gray and white all at the same time, around it was a golden ring and it reached towards her feet.

Zane narrowed his eyes as he saw the monster that gave his younger brother trouble in the promotional exams, but he then realized the effect of the monster, "If I remember correctly, that monster deals piercing damage. Does it not?"
"Correct, but I won't start doing anything yet." Zane narrowed his eyes at what she said as she took a card from her hand, "I will activate the Quick-Play Spell card, Trap Booster! For the price of discarding one card from my hand," she did so as she sent the card to her graveyard, "but the upside is that I can now activate a Trap from my hand this turn."
Zane remembered that card as Kagemaru used it during his duel. He didn't quite realize how good the card is and he might even add the card in his deck someday if he gets the chance. But that raised a question of what Trap she would activate.
To his knowledge, Reincarnation Dance only works if a monster is destroyed, Serenade Dance only allows to summon a token and her Fusion monster gains attack points or even her-
His eyes widened as he remembered the Trap, Battle Ready that she used against the Venom and Vampire Rider, a Trap that would help her during the battle. He narrowed his eyes to be careful around that. The image showed Black Luster Soldier - Envoy Of The Beginning with a determined look and his weapons ready as Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of The End roars in power.
"I won't use it right away since I will start by attacking your Cyber Dragon Zwei with my Lunalight Wolf! Go, Slash Clash!" she yelled as her monster was now on all fours and started to run towards Zwei and jumped.
"Like you said before, when they are attacking, my Lunalights can deal piercing damage!" she yelled as her Wolf slashed the head of Zwei with her paws, making a small explosion. When destroyed the monster ran back to Celina.
Zane didn't even flinch.
Zane: 4000 - 3500 life points
Celina: 4000 lp
"Stoic as ever, eh? Well, I am going to change that with this!" she yelled as she took a card and activated it, and to his surprise, it was a Trap, "When my monster attacked, after damage calculation, all of your monsters switch battle positions and their stats are now halved!" Celina yelled as Zane's eyes widened as he watched his Vier raise itself up.
Cyber Dragon Vier: 1600 - 800 attack points/ 2200 - 1100 defense points
"So that's her plan. Not bad." Zane thought as Emerald Bird rose up with her wings ready.
"Now my Lunalight Emerald Bird can now attack your Cyber Dragon Vier! So attack!" she yelled as from the wings, feathers went in high speeds towards the Cyber Dragon monster and with the sharpness of them, destroyed them in one single turn.
That only made Zane slide his foot to another side.
Zane: 3500 - 3100 life points
Celina: 4000 lp
Zane looked at his two set cards, Cyber Eternal, and another he could've used, but decided not to for the simple reason of him wanting to see her strategy, and it did have a downside of being destroyed on his own turn. He looked at her, nodding, "Not bad, you destroyed all of my monsters in one turn, and used all of the cards in your hand."
Celina smirked, "Believe me, I am not going easy on you with this." she said as she took the last card in her hand, "I set one card face down and end my turn." she said as two cards were set vertically behind her two monsters.
Turn 3. Zane - 3100 lp - 2 cards
Zane took the top card in his deck and drew it. He looked at it and nodded. He took one card from his hand, "I discard my Cyber Dragon that is in my hand," he announced, shocking Celina with that, "so I can special summon Cyber Dragon Nachster!"
On his side of the field appeared a much smaller Cyber Dragon, but this one was the most advanced out of them all. Around its tail, underbelly, around its neck and at the back of its head were space-like blue colour that were almost magical to look at. The parts of it that weren't that were the same type of body as the old Cyber Dragon. It had wings with 3 sets of feathers that were made out of metal.
(Cyber Dragon Nachster: Level 1 - Light Machine - Attack: 200. Defense: 200.)
Celina looked at the new monster, but she saw how small the stats were, but knowing Zane and his Cyber Valley, she knew not to underestimate it.
Not doing that was a good decision as Zane began to explain, "When my monster is special summoned, I get to target one Cyber Dragon monster that has 2100 attack or defense points, and special summon them on my field!" a card popped out from the graveyard to which he took it, "So come out, Cyber Dragon!"
The monster whose was the ace of Zane Truesdale appeared on the field. It was much bigger than Nachster, but less advanced than it, as its metal skin was the same as the rest of the monster.
(Cyber Dragon: Level 5 - Light Dragon - Attack: 2100. Defense: 1600.)
Zane crossed his arms as his two monsters roared in power as Celina slid her foot and looked at the two monsters. With only one monster, he was able to get to this, it was almost unbelievable that he could do this.
"This is not even me at my full strength, as I am not done! I activate the Spell, Iron Call! If I control exactly 2 Machine monsters, I get to draw 2 cards, but I can only special summon once this turn!" he said as he drew the top cards of his deck and he nodded.
He looked at the two cards, one was good for the next turn if the monster he controls is destroyed somehow, and the other was a monster that he added recently, along with Cracking Dragon. He thought about the move as he looked at his field and Celina's as then he had an idea.
"I normal summon Armoured Cybern!" on his side of the field appeared on what looks like a space jet with a yellow, blue and gray colouring scheme, as it also has 2 massive cannons.

"Wait, what? I have never seen a monster like that." said Celina as she leaned in, ready for pretty much anything that he could throw at her.
"Well, you are going to learn what it can do soon enough as my Armoured Cybern equips itself onto Cyber Dragon!" he yelled as her eyes widened as she saw the Light Union fly towards Cyber Dragon, as it connected to its neck, with cannons poking out of the Light Machine monster.
"Wait, it's a Union monster?!" she gasped as she didn't expect that! "What can it do?"
Zane had a small smirk as he announced his move, "Well, his effect allows for my Cyber Dragon to lose exactly 1000 attack points, so I can destroy one face up monster on your side of the field!"
"What?!" she yelled in shock.
"You heard me! Judgement Cannon!" he yelled as the cannons glew blue for a moment as a bright light appeared from it and went towards Emerald Bird, and destroyed it in one blast.
Cyber Dragon: 2100 - 1100 attack points
As the dust settled Celina had a smirk on her face, confusing Zane a little, "Thank you, because two effects go off at the same time! First, when a Lunalight monster is destroyed, I get to activate Lunalight Reincarnation Dance!" her only set card was revealed as she began to explain, "With this, I get to add up to 2 Lunalight monsters from my deck!"
She took her deck, took 2 specific cards from it and returned it to her deck, as she then took a card from her pocket, "And thanks to Emerald Bird, if it is sent to the graveyard by a card effect, I get to special summon a Level 4 or lower Lunalight monster that was banished or in my graveyard, so come out, Lunalight Purple Butterfly!" she said as she slammed the card on her duel disk.
On her side of the field appeared a monster with light blue skin as she wore a tight outfit that was a combination of black and light blue, as she had beige cloth around her hips and chest. She had butterfly-like wings as they were purple, yellow, light blue and black. She wore purple hair and brown eyes. She had a mask on the left side of her face.

Colour him impressed because he wasn't expecting that! She used her monster's destruction to activate, not one, but two effects that benefit her in his turn!
"Impressive." Zane had a smile on his face as his gaze hardened, "But that won't stop me from activating Armoured Cybern's effect once more!" He pointed at Wolf as the cannons glew, "Judgement Cannon!" he roared as from the cannons shot a bright light and destroyed Lunalight Wolf.
Cyber Dragon: 1100 - 100 attack points
Celina stayed quiet as she knew that he didn't have a way to get over her Purple Butterfly, but something felt off when she looked at his two set cards.
"You played a good defense, but let me tell you that you made a mistake special summoning Purple Butterfly." Celina looked at him with a confused look, but before she could ask, Zane activate one of his set cards. "I activate my Trap, Cybernetic Revolution! I tribute my Cyber Dragon…"
His Cyber Dragon disappeared in a light with the Union monster disappearing with it, as the Kaiser of Duel Academy took a card from his Extra Deck, "So I can special summon one monster in my Extra Deck that has Cyber Dragon as its Fusion Material!" he yelled as Celina realized what that meant as she held her breath.
"Appear, my ace monster! The monster that shows the true might of the Cyber Arts! Cyber End Dragon!" On his side of the field appeared one of the biggest monsters in all of Duel Monsters that rivals Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, as its eyes glew into a brighter green as its three heads roared in power that all of Duel Academy could hear.
(Cyber End Dragon: Fusion - Level 10 - Light Machine - Attack: 4000. Defense: 2800.)
"You see this? This is the true strength of my deck!" yelled the Kaiser Of Duel Academy as Celina looked at the very monster that defeated Jaden in one attack.
She…grinned, "Well, bring it on! Trust me when I say this, but I won't go down in one attack!" she yelled as Zane smirked.
"Hope you can bring that promise to me since I want to see this! Attack with Super Strident Blaze!" he yelled as one mouth created a green beam, one created a yellow beam and one created a purple beam as they all shot at the lone Lunalight monster with the strength of a train as it went towards it creating a small explosion.
Zane: 3100 lp
Celina: 4000 - 1000 life points
Like that, the life point situation changed dramatically as Zane stood tall with his Cyber End Dragon and his Nachster roaring, as he looked at her. She was panting from one attack, and if another like that were to be made, she would lose the duel, which she has to make sure she won't with all of her strength.
"I am not done for the count just yet!" she yelled.
Zane nodded, "I know, and I am impressed, normally a duelist would lose when they see my powerful monster, they lose the same turn, but you stand tall. You can make your move after I set this card." a card was set vertically behind the powerful Cyber End Dragon.
Turn 4. Celina - 1000 lp - 2 cards
She looked over the Fusion monster that was the ace of the Kaiser of Duel Academy, and remembered how the first time she ever saw, she destroyed Jaden's Terra Firma in one attack, and just how devastating its attack was compared to the others. The only person that she could remember that survived an attack from this attack, sans herself, was the Venom Rider.
She looked at her hand, and she smiled, now with a starting combo in her mind, she could have a monster that can destroy his monster.
Suddenly, she heard a growl in her head and grabbed it. It was like it could help her destroy that monster if it was summoned, but it had so much venom in it that she felt that it could melt her skin. It was filled with so much hate and anger that it could destroy her own friend or even conscious. It felt similar somehow, but it didn't mean it was a good feeling, it was horrible.
She felt like if this would be possible she would…she would…she woul-
"Hey, are you alright?" asked Zane as Celina looked at him as she felt better. Bad, but still better than before. "Because you are holding your head really tight. Are you okay? If you don't want to continue, that's fine, we will stop right here." he said as he looked at his duel disk and on the off button.
"No," Zane looked at her, confused, "I am fine, I promise, it's just a minor headache." she said.
"Are you sure? Because you look like you are in pain."
"I am fine, I promise that I am." she said as Zane tried to argue back, but knew that it would be pointless.
"Fine, continue on with your turn." he said as she grinned.
"Alright! I draw!" she yelled as she drew a card and looked at it. She smirked as she placed the card back to her hand, "I will start by discarding Lunalight Black Sheep! With this, I get to add Polymerization from my deck straight to my hand!" she yelled as she took a card from her deck.
She placed the card, and then took a card from her hand, "I now summon Lunalight White Rabbit!" On her side of the field appeared a rabbit with white skin as she wore a tight suit that black and white with green lining. She had orange boots. She wore a white crop top with long white sleeves and green lining on the bottom of the jacket. She wore a mask to cover her eyes. Her hair was long as it was white. She wielded a massive white mallet.

She then pointed to her newly summoned monster, "Her effect activates! When she is normal summoned, I get to special summon a Lunalight monster from my graveyard! So come out! Emerald Bird!" she yelled as her feminine bird appeared on her side of the field.

"I won't activate her effect, but I will activate my Purple Butterfly from my graveyard!" she said as she took a card out of her graveyard as Zane's eyes slightly widened as she placed the card in her pocket and then took another card from her hand and announced, "So I can special summon from my hand my Lunalight Kalideo Chick!"
On her side of the field appeared a small girl whose skin was yellow and wore a tight skin suit that was a darker shade of yellow and white in the middle. She had cloth around her hips, hands and shoulders. She wore a rainbow veil around her, a yellow mask on the left side of the face and a yellow hat.

Zane looked at all three monsters on the field, and while their stats don't compare to the Cyber End Dragon, even if you combine the attack points, he knows the power they all can have once they activate their effects.
Case in point, "And now I activate the effect of White Rabbit! For every other Lunalight monster on my field, I get to return one Spell or Trap!" Celina said as White Rabbit picked up her mallet, but before she could do anything, Zane moved.
"I don't think so, I activate my Trap, Heavy Storm Duster!" he yelled as his set card revealed itself. He knows that it doesn't make any sense for activating this Trap right now, but his gut is telling him to do this right now since a powerful monster is about to merge. "This card destroys up to 2 Spell or Traps on the field, but I can not declare an attack for the rest of the turn!"
A massive tornado appeared on his side of the field and destroyed Zane's other set card.
Celina raised an eyebrow, "I don't know why you did that, but knowing you, it probably wasn't a mistake." she said as she looked at Zane's unreadable expression and couldn't find anything about it. "Eh, but I can still work with this." she said as she took a card from her hand, as she announced an effect of Kaleido Chick, "I activate the effect of my Chick, I send a Lunalight monster from my Extra Deck," she said so as she took a card from her Extra Deck and send it to her graveyard, "so her name becomes the same of the monster that was sent to the graveyard."
She said as Kaleido Chick turned into her Lunalight Panther Dancer, but it was much shorter. Celina then took a card from her hand, "I now activate my Spell, Polymerization! I fuse on my side of the field my Panther Dancer, Emerald Bird and White Rabbit!" she said as all of her monsters were sucked in a Red-Blue Spiral Vortex.
She then began to chant, "By combining the precision of a panther, illumination of a white rabbit and the elegance of an emerald bird, I get to create a new lunar legend! I Fusion Summon! Lunalight Leo Dancer!" she yelled out.
From the Vortex came out a majestic beast, something that a goddess of the Moon. The very same monster she used in her battle against the Venom Rider. The monster had light black skin, majestic white hair, red dress down to her hips, on her knees were the heads of yellow lions, had black leggings up to her knees, dark red lingerie. All around the monster was fur, on knees, chest, arms and hips. On both of her arms she had long golden rings around her hand. She carried a massive katana able to cut down any monster in her way. She also had a tail that was both light blue and light black, not to mention 3 golden rings around it.
(Lunalight Leo Dancer: Fusion - Level 10 - Dark Beast-Warrior - Attack: 3500. Defense: 3000.)
"So the first Fusion summon of the duel is this? I am not going to lie, that is impressive." he said with narrowed eyes, it was a good thing he had something to protect his monster from this.
"Well, you are going to find this impressive! It's to attack with Full Moon Catastrophe!" she yelled as Leo Dancer picked up her katana and began swinging it. Once she was done doing that, she then looked at Cyber End Dragon and jumped towards it with her katana in her hands.
As Zane predicted, Celina took a card from her graveyard, "I now activate the effect of Battle Ready in my graveyard! I banish it from my graveyard, so my Leo Dancer gains attack points equal to the targeted monster's original attack points until the end of the turn!" she yelled as Leo Dancer glew red for a bit.
Lunalight Leo Dancer: 3500 - 5500 attack points
As then, the weaker Cyber End Dragon tried to attack back against Leo Dancer, but the stronger Fusion monster cut through the beam and then through the Cyber End Dragon, but that didn't stop Zane just yet.
"I activate the effect of Cyber Eternal from my graveyard, I banish it from my graveyard from my graveyard so I can prevent the destruction of a Cyber Fusion monster on my side of the field!" he said as he took a card from his graveyard and placed it in his pockets as Cyber End Dragon put itself together with wires inside of it.
"But you still take the damage!" she yelled as Zane didn't flinch.
Zane: 3100 - 1600 life points
Celina: 1000 lp
Celina lightly gripped her hand as she continued, "Well, it's a good thing that Leo Dancer can attack up to two times per each Battle Phase! So attack! WIth Full Moon Catastrophe!" she yelled as her Leo Dancer picked up her katana.
She glared against her opponent as she began to charge towards it, and jumped upwards with her katana on the backside of her. Cyber End Dragon tried to attack back, but the attack was just deflected by her katana as she sliced the Cyber End Dragon into pieces with one slice, making an explosion.
Zane braced himself from his monster's destruction with his forearm.
Zane: 1600 - 100 life points
Celina: 1000 lp
As the dust settled from the explosion, Leo Dancer returned to Celina, who had a cocky grin on her face, "My Leo Dancer's second effect activates! Whenever it destroys a monster by battle, all of your monsters are now destroyed!"
"What?!" For the first time in the duel Zane was shocked by that effect as Leo Dancer picked up her sword and threw the katana towards Cyber Dragon Nachster, making a small explosion. Leo Dancer then ran towards the katana and got it, as she ran back to where she originally came from.
"Oh, don't even try activating effects against my Leo Dancer since she is immune to all of your effects." said Celina as she looked at everything that she could have, but she had nothing, so she looked at The Kaiser Of Duel Academy. "Your move."
Lunalight Leo Dancer: 5500 - 3500 attack points
Turn 5. Zane - 100 lp - 0 cards
Zane looked at everything that he had, or more simply, what he didn't have. He didn't have any Spells or Traps, no monsters on his field, no graveyard effects from his graveyard and he had no cards in his hands. It should be impossible for him to even win this duel, but, like they always say, a duel is not over until the last card is played.
He looked at the top card in his deck and had a tiny smile on his face. He placed his fingers on the top card and yelled, "My turn! I draw!" he yelled as he drew the top card in his deck. He then looked at it.
He had a small grin on his face when he saw it, but he first looked at Celina, "Celina, you played a good game, but it wasn't good enough." he said as she remembered those words when Jaden lost the duel.
"Wait, what do you mean by that? You have one card in your ha…oh." she said as she realized what card he might have drawn this turn.
Zane smirked, "I think you guessed it, so I think I will play my Overload Fusion!" he yelled as he inserted the card into his duel disk as Celina took a step backwards.
"So what are you going to summon? Chimeratech Overdragon?" she asked as Zane shook his head.
"No, something different." he said, "I banish from my graveyard, my Cyber Dragon, Cyber Dragon Zwei, Cyber Dragon Vier, Cyber Dragon Nachster, Armoured Cybern and Cyber End Dragon from my graveyard so I can create a new monster!" he yelled as all 6 monsters appeared on the field, only for them to be sucked in by a Black-Green Spiral Vortex.

As then from the vortex came out a massive mechanical Dragon which it's head was the size of 3 human beings, as it had a pod under, and more pods behind that one. She counted 7 pods as all of them were going smaller and smaller from the first one. It had purple spikes on top of the pods, a big purple tail on the back, on the middle and around the pods was a silver colour while around the middle it was a light purple. The size alone dwarfed Leo Dancer, Celina and Zane.

"2 hours of listening to Scarlett Starling…" Mizar turned to Girag, who was currently listening to one of the new songs called Unbreakable Heart, "You have a problem."
"Hey be quiet man," Alito whispered to Mizar's ear, "at least we didn't hear it."
"Good point."
"Oh, come on guys, just let him enjoy the songs, he is hurting everyone." said Dumon as they walked out of Duel Academy.
They were done looking over the new changes, somewhat getting used to the fact that they were gone for 2 years. They looked over the banlist, with Pot Of Greed being limited like Graceful Charity, Card of Sanctity and Card Of Demise, but also Mystic Mine being banned, which made the youngest one dance for like 6 minutes.
They then walked out of Duel Academy as they were done with looking around.
They stopped when they saw the head of Chimeratech Fortress Dragon.
"Who in the Shadow Realm made Zane angry?" all 4 of them asked at the same time as they would rather fight the devil than make him angry.
In The Slifer Red Dorms
Jaden, Alexis, Yusuke and Bastion were currently learning about the history of ancient Egypt and about the Pharaoh Atem during his reign. For the three of them, it was somewhat confusing, but understandable. But for Jaden?
It was like rocket science.
He had his hands in hair, trying to understand what they are studying about, slightly confused on where everyone else is, but overall, he is just stressed.
"Guys…"
"No, you just had a break."
"No, I didn't."
"Yes, you did, you had one at 2 o'clock."
"But it's 5 o'clock."
"No, it isn- Oh.'' All three of them checked the time and it was true, it was 5 o'clock. It didn't seem right that Jaden got something correct, but nonetheless, they sighed.
"I guess, you can have a break."
"We didn't even notice the time."
"I am going to get everyone here so we can all pass." said Yusuke, Alexis and Bastion as the last one stood up and began looking for everyone.
"Great!" said Jaden as he ran out of the room, as the rest decided to have a good rest, at least for a bit. After a bit of looking around, he saw something at the lighthouse and something that he didn't think he would see a head of Chimeratech Fortress Dragon.
"Who made Kaiser mad?" asked Jaden in slight fear as he remembered only one person who made him mad, and it kinda scared him to ever anger him again.
Alexis and Yusuke looked at each other in confusion as they walked towards Jaden and saw the head of Chimeratech Fortress Dragon.
"Who made Zane mad?" That was the common question as Bastion got Syrus to the Slifer Red dining room as he went towards the other 3.
Back To The Duel
She then looked at the monster with wide eyes. Seriously, why are almost all of his monsters giant beasts of destruction? She then looked at the stats of the monster, "Wait 0 attack points? And it is in attack mode? I gotta be careful." she said, but sadly for her, she doesn't have anything to stop that.
"And now, the finisher. Chimeratech Fortress Dragon, attack Lunalight Leo Dancer with Sonic Screech!" he yelled, shocking Celina as the head shot a powerful beam of sound towards Leo Dancer.
"Are you insane, my monster is stronger than yours!" she yelled as Leo Dancer stopped the attack with her katana, sending it back towards the Fusion monster, but it wasn't destroyed.
"That's correct, but here is the thing about my Fortress Dragon, my monster can negate the damage calculation." he said, explaining the effect of Fortress Dragon, but he wasn't done. "And whenever my dragon attacks, you lose 400 life points!" he said as Celina glew blue for a bit.
Zane: 100 lp
Celina: 1000 - 600 life point
She thought to herself on why would he summon a monster for only 400 life points? Chimeratech Overdragon could've done a better job! But wait, she thought something that could be similar between the two.
Zane smirked, "You figured it out, didn't you? Like my Overdragon, Chimeratech Fortress Dragon can attack up to the amount of Fusion materials! So go! Sonic Screech - Round 2!" he yelled as from the pod appeared the head of Cyber Dragon Vier and shot a powerful screech that attacked the Slifer Red as she took a step back from the attack.
Zane: 100 lp
Celina: 600 - 200 life points
She looked at the Chimeratech Fortress Dragon and then to her Lunalight Leo Dancer, and then to the Kaiser of Duel Academy. She smiled, "Heh, I guess I finally know how I stack up to you, huh?"
"That's correct, but I have to tell you that, you were a tough opponent and if I made a single mistake in this entire duel, you would have defeated me." said Zane.
"That's…actually good to know." she said with a smile as she looked at her hand and then to him, "Next time, I will win our duel."
Zane smirked, "I wouldn't be shocked if you do, but right now. Go! Sonic Screech - Round 3!" he yelled as from the 2nd pod appeared the head of Cyber Dragon and then a powerful screech went towards the Slifer Red, and then…
…She took the knee as the attack landed on her.
Zane: 100 lp
Celina: 200 - 0 life points
ZANE TRUESDALE: WINNER!
"Dang it." said Celina as she looked at the ground. He won the duel with a turn with no monsters, Spells or Traps, and no other cards in his hand. No wonder that they call him the Kaiser.
She sighed as she looked at him, as he began walking towards her. "No wonder why you are the most feared man on this entire island. No one can even touch you!"
If Zane was any other man he would've chuckled at that, but he wasn't so he grunted, "Well, I won't exactly say that. I mean, Yusuke did beat me a handful of times, Atticus defeated me sometimes and that man won the duel."
"Wait, Yusuke?" she thought about it, and then remembered how many people did look at him in fear when he came back, and realized what he meant by that. "Okay, yeah that makes sense." she saw Zane give her a hand to which she took it, and with it, picked herself up.
"I have to say, that duel was really fun, and, honestly, I expected the results." said Celina, somewhat sadly.
"Oh come on, don't beat yourself up, like I said before, you almost won that duel. While there is room for improvement, I say that you did a very good job with the cards you were given." said Zane, while he wasn't good at communicating, he still wants to cheer them up, even if he isn't the best out of it. Atticus was.
"Thanks." said Celina as she then heard her PDA ringing. She grabbed it and looked that it was from Yusuke. She looked at Zane, who was slightly confused, so she answered. "Yes?"
"Uhm, yeah, hi. I have a question." said Yusuke over the other side.
"Okay, yeah, what is it?" she asked.
"Where are you currently? Bastion is trying hard to find you, but couldn't exactly find you." said Yusuke.
"At the lighthouse, and wait, why does Bastion want with me?" she asked as Yusuke looked over Chazz, who was confused on how he got there so fast and dragged him there.
However, Bastion took the PDA from Yusuke, "The lighthouse? Okay, thanks. I will get you here so we can all have a study group in 5 seconds." the Golden Eggwich of Ra said as he walked off.
Celina didn't want to question the 5 seconds thing as she looked at her PDA, "Wait that's it? Just for studying?"
"Pretty much. Sorry to bother you. See ya."
"See ya." she said as they both ended the call.
Zane looked at her weirdly, well not exactly to her, but what he heard. "Wait 5 seconds? Doesn't he mean like 5 minutes? Since I can't even do that, and I am here almost every other day." the Kaiser of Duel Academy said.
She looked at him, "Yeah, I know right? There is absolutely no way that he can get here in 5 sec-"
A hand was placed on her shoulder as she looked at Zane, whose eyes were widened as he was astonished by his speed. She then looked behind her and lo and behold, it was Bastion Misawa, the only Ra Yellow in the group, the Golden Eggwich of Ra behind her.
"-onds? How in the hell did you do that?" she asked as Bastion didn't say anything as then he began dragging her, but he walked so quickly, that people mistook him for an Olympic athlete.
Zane looked at the two in amusement, as then, a rare chuckle left his lips as he had a small smile on his face. "I am going to miss this when I graduate," he said.
He then began to walk over to the Obelisk Blue Dorms.

aaaaannnnddd, done! Finally done with this gosh darn chapter! And it wasn't even difficult to write, okay that might be a lie, but it was because of computer issues! For almost an entire week, I had to rely on the School's computers, and believe me they are not good at all!
Hope you guys enjoyed the duel, and sorry that this wasn't a massive duel with combos flying around every single turn. I just wanted to write a small, friendly duel and I hope you guys know this.
This was more of a Zane chapter more than anything, which I am completely fine with as it shows his character at almost the end of the show where we never got to see him. Also, during the graduation duel, remember the 36900 ATK Cyber End Dragon and the 20900 ATK Shining Flare Wingman, well, let's just say that those numbers are small potatoes compared to what I plan. No spoilers.
Next up is Chumley's first and last chapter, and I do want to make this different, but the Koala archetype is severely lacking, so do you guys have any ideas? I could use Koalo-Koala, but that's about it from the new moves.
