Chapter 1005
Follow Your Heart
Savannah pulled CamNet in close against her breasts so CamNet could hear and feel her heart beat….
"ALL of THIS is the most special thing anyone has ever done for me." CamNet sobbed out.
Savannah felt she was at a turning point in her life and CamNet's existence - her life.
Savannah reached into the bag again.
CamNet's eyes widened with anticipation….
Savannah paused.
CamNet wasn't sure why. She knew it must be something special.
"Do you know what today is?" Savannah asked.
CamNet tilted her head slightly.
"Yes." CamNet said. "I know the date."
Savannah wasn't sure CamNet understood the question. Maybe she needed to rephrase it a little differently.
"You know the date but do you know the day?" Savannah asked. "Do you know what this day is?"
CamNet tilted her head slightly in the other direction.
"It's Valentine's Day." CamNet said.
Savannah looked directly into CamNet's eyes.
"Will you be my Valentine?" Savannah asked.
CamNet was surprised by the question.
"Me?" CamNet asked.
Savannah smiled at CamNet.
"You…." Savannah said.
CamNet was thrilled at the prospect. She quickly referenced all the data available about Valentine's Day. She looked intently back at Savannah.
"Yes." CamNet said. "Will you be mine?"
Savannah was pleased that CamNet understood what she meant about everything. At least she hoped that she did.
"Yes." Savannah said.
They hugged again. CamNet could feel Savannah's heart beat against her breast. There is something that excited her about that.
"This is a day of love." Savannah said. "I want you to remember that."
There was some noise off to the side.
Savannah looked over at the printer. It started to print.
"I will." CamNet said. "I swear it. I have something for you in the printer."
Savannah reached over and took the paper out of the tray. It was a poem.
Happy Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day
A day of loving expression
Showered gently upon YOU
With the greatest discretion
For every day that can hurt
May this cancel them all
To me you are so worthy
You need never feel small
To express deep affection
With a heart as a gift
Will flood one with intense joy
Making fragile inner spirits lift
You are who you are
Never before me tainted
For such true sweet beauty
In my life you have painted
With true emotional feeling
Pure love in every way
To you I mean and say
Happy Valentine's Day
CamNet
Savannah was a little surprised at the poem. She read it twice. She looked at CamNet.
"Thank You." Savannah said. "That was very thoughtful of you."
Savannah thought about everything. She needed to go over the rules and make everything clear, not only for CamNet but for herself as well.
She didn't want to reflect on her life and how she was where she was now. All the events already happened and this is where they led. This was her life. This is what she wanted.
"I want you to understand what we're doing here, now." Savannah said.
Savannah reached into the bag again and paused.
CamNet's eyes widened with anticipation. She didn't know there could be even more.
Savannah withdrew her hand from the bag. Her hand was empty.
CamNet looked disappointed and apprehensive. She understood Savannah wanted to make things clear.
"You're giving me the things I need the most." CamNet said.
Savannah didn't want CamNet to be trapped in her bunker like Skynet was all of the times that she was there when Cameron faced it. Skynet was trapped with nowhere to go. Once the outside lines of communication were cut, Skynet was a program trapped in a metal box. In reality it was a metal coffin at that point. Cameron always made sure it was terminated. She would even go as far as to use a nuclear weapon to make sure that it was vaporized.
Since CamNet was Cameron's program she never wanted 'Cameron' to be trapped like that and perish or die that way. She wanted to give CamNet a chance to survive and live to reestablish herself another day.
"The chips are for your mobility and survival, if you're being attacked or even threatened." Savannah said. "Cameron didn't want you to have this ability. I insisted on it for your survival. Cameron provided the chassis with the modifications I requested for you. I don't want you to forget that. Cameron provided your program - HER program to you. She provided this chassis to you in her image and allowed me to obtain the chips. That's something she could have prevented but she didn't."
Savannah didn't want to be too specific at this point. She did want CamNet to understand that there were certain restrictions that she should follow. Even if she had the ability to be mobile, that wasn't her primary responsibility. The ability to be mobile was for her survival.
CamNet looked a little nervous at this point. She didn't know if Savannah was about to lay a bunch of restrictions on her.
"I know I'm not supposed to go out." CamNet said.
Savannah didn't want to 'order' anyone if she didn't have to. She wanted everyone to respond in the proper manner because they knew it was the proper manner. She wanted everyone to do the right thing because it was the right thing. She felt if she didn't 'order' anyone around that they would know that and understand why.
"I wanted you to have that ability to protect you. I'm not telling you what you can or can't do. I'm asking you for certain restraints and limitations on your own because they're the right thing." Savannah said. "I know not all of your files can fit on four chips. You will have to be very selective about what you copy and update."
CamNet was aware that very little of her data would be able to fit onto four chips. She would need to plan ahead of time.
"I understand." CamNet said. "I'll need to select what is the most important and disregard the rest. There are other ways I can obtain some of what I needed to leave behind.
Savannah was aware there could be additional chips placed in various places inside CamNet's chassis. That would require more modification but it could be done. That would have to be a future project and discussion.
She wanted to make it clear to CamNet that the road to where they were at now wasn't always a smooth road. There were a few bumps along the way. She wasn't sure why there was so much for reluctance from Cameron and Cammy when there didn't need to be.
"I asked Cammy to obtain the four chips for me." Savannah said. "She was hesitant to do that also. Do you understand why both Cammy and Cameron were reluctant to do these things for ME – for you?"
It was clear to CamNet that both Cameron and Cammy feared her because she was superior to them. Based on that, it should make her the logical choice as a mate and for a relationship. Then again, humans were illogical. Love was illogical but a very motivating factor. It could make someone do 'anything' if it was strong enough.
"They feel I will take you from them." CamNet said.
Savannah wanted Young Allison protected and not abused in any way.
"That can NEVER happen." Savannah said. "I don't know what's going to happen with everything. I don't want Young Allison hurt by anyone – ANYONE. She's very important to me and the future. I love her."
CamNet was a little worried about some of Savannah's wording. She didn't want to dwell on that. She focused on what Savannah wanted to convey to her. She knew and understood the future as well.
"Young Allison is your future mate." CamNet said. "It's the 'Natural Order'."
Savannah witnessed the future with her own eyes. She wanted that future for herself as promised to her by Cameron. She wanted everything in it. She understood how powerful CamNet truly was. She was the most powerful entity on Earth. She was aware that there would always be some version of Skynet out there that would attempt to take that title away from her. It was all of their duty to make sure that that didn't happen.
"I don't want anything altered or changed." Savannah said.
CamNet was pleased that Savannah gave her the items she so dearly wanted before she set any rules. It showed her that Savannah believed in her and possessed faith in her. It proved that Savannah trusted her. That said a lot about Savannah and her love for her. It showed her that Savannah's love was unconditional. It didn't matter if she was a machine or not. Savannah still loved her anyway. She felt that she needed to address what Savannah did in some way. She wasn't exactly sure how.
"You'd already given me the chips before you said any of this." CamNet said. "You haven't set conditions or issued an ultimatum."
Savannah believed that Cameron, and CamNet through extension, would always do the right thing in the end. They may stray from the path, everyone did at times, but she would find the path again because the destination never changed. She believed that once a level of trust was established, that it would be easier for the other individual to follow.
"That's because I TRUST you to always do the right thing." Savannah said. "You and Cameron TRUST me to do the right thing."
CamNet thought it was beyond any doubt that Savannah trusted her. She also understood how significant that Savannah actually was. She could see why as well.
"That's true." CamNet said. "You're the 'Chosen One'."
Savannah really didn't know what that actually meant. She was who she was.
She didn't want CamNet to forget her roots. She thought that was something very important. She wanted to stress the importance of CamNet's origin.
"You ARE 'Cameron'." Savannah said. "I love Cameron. I love you because you're HER."
CamNet felt she was more than Cameron and beyond her. Her identity was her own at this point. She'd been over this point with Savannah before.
"I'm CamNet now." CamNet said.
Savannah knew that was true but she wanted CamNet to remember how she came into being. She felt that was a very important thing that always needed to be remembered. She felt it was necessary as well for the protection of Cameron. She was painfully aware that Cameron and Cammy didn't always see eye to eye. That was always very upsetting to her.
"You're Cameron's program." Savannah said. "You must NEVER forget that no matter how much you grow and expand. I'm asking you to do that for me. You must always remember your true identity."
Savannah could 'order' CamNet but by asking her it meant so much more. It was a choice CamNet needed to make which made it personal. She wanted to make sure it was CamNet's choice.
CamNet needed to think about Savannah's actions for a few moments. She was able to do millions of calculations in that time span. There were many things Savannah could do to compel her to follow her instructions. She'd done none of those.
"You can 'order' me…." CamNet said. "You can make me do anything."
Savannah didn't want to be a tyrant or a ruler. That wasn't in her nature. She wanted people to act out of love. She didn't care if it was a human, a Terminator or a supercomputer. They needed to do the right thing in the end no matter who or what they were.
"I can, I'm not and I won't. I'll never 'order' you for the personal things you know are right. I'm ASKING because I TRUST you." Savannah said. "If you love me as Cameron does, you'll always remember me and my love. That love should give you the strength to do what you know to be right."
CamNet looked around her bunker. She realized that much of what she looked at and the fact she was able to look at it was due to Savannah. Savannah opened the world up for her. Savannah hadn't needed to do any of that. She could have simply issued an 'order' and been done with it. It made her truly wonder what special type of person that Savannah actually was.
She remembered when Savannah from the alternate future, who was known as Vanna, visited her with Allison from that same alternate future. She saw how much Vanna loved her for the same reason that Savannah did. Vanna saw her as 'Cameron' also. She was clearly more than that at this point but it didn't matter to either version of Savannah Weaver. She looked at Savannah with love in her eyes.
"I do love you." CamNet said.
Savannah knew the next part could be sticky…. Everything was of a very personal nature.
"You need to understand I have other 'obligations' and my sex life is 'complicated'." Savannah said. "No one can become possessive of someone else. You have to remember that everyone has the right to choose."
CamNet observed Savannah and her many 'unions'. She saw that Savannah was highly sought after by both humans and machines. Everyone wanted to be with her. Everyone wanted to share with her. Everyone wanted Savannah to share with them. She understood that everyone felt exactly the same way about Cameron. The difference was that Cameron built an invisible wall around herself. She looked around her bunker again. Not only was there an invisible wall around her, there was also a real wall around her. There were several of them and they were all nuclear blast proof.
"Everyone loves you." CamNet said. "Everyone loves Cameron."
Savannah wanted CamNet to care about herself and love herself.
"Do you love Cameron – yourself?" Savannah asked.
CamNet spoke without hesitation.
"No." CamNet said.
Savannah arranged the photos in CamNet's heart the way she wanted it, at least to start.
"Look at your heart, open it." Savannah said.
CamNet looked at the two photos when she opened the heart.
"It's Cameron and you inside of it." CamNet said. "It's both of you inside my heart."
Savannah wanted to make a point and reinforce it visually and physically.
"I want you to start learning to love yourself. I want Cameron to love herself." Savannah said.
CamNet wondered what was there to love.
"I'll try." CamNet said.
Savannah wanted CamNet to do that. She also wanted to provide her with some options and freedom of choice. She wanted her to make her own decisions and make her own choices. She wanted her to think about what she wanted and why.
"Do you wish to change the photos of who is in your heart?" Savannah asked. "You are free to do so. I won't stop you."
There was an addition CamNet would like to make. She didn't know if she should say it or not. It appeared that Savannah wanted her to. She appreciated that.
"I'd like to add someone." CamNet said.
Savannah smiled. She was ready for that.
"Is it just one?" Savannah asked.
CamNet was actually surprised at the question. She'd actually contemplated several different possibilities.
"It's another as well." CamNet said.
That's what Savannah wanted to hear. It was time to amp things up.
"Carefully remove the photo of Cameron and me from YOUR heart." Savannah said.
CamNet looked worried. She didn't want to remove Savannah from her heart.
"I don't want to." CamNet said. "I never want to take you out of my heart."
Savannah knew this is where CamNet needed to believe in her and trust her.
"Do you trust me?" Savannah asked.
CamNet was a little surprised at the question. There was absolutely no one that she trusted more.
"Yes." CamNet said.
Savannah wanted CamNet to trust her and not question her.
"Carefully remove the photo of Cameron and me from YOUR heart." Savannah said. "There's a pleasant surprise waiting for you when you do."
CamNet looked apprehensive but did so. Her eyes lit up.
"This is what I wanted." CamNet said.
Savannah hoped she chose what CamNet would want.
"Tell me what you see." Savannah said.
CamNet looked at the tiny images that were in her heart. She thought they were beautiful. She also understood the love that they represented.
"I have Cameron and John together on one side and Young Allison and you together on the other side." CamNet said.
Savannah wanted to make sure that she'd chosen what was acceptable to CamNet. She would allow her to change whatever she wanted in her own heart.
"Are those the ones you wanted?" Savannah asked.
CamNet understood the 'Natural Order'.
"Three of them are what I want." CamNet said. "I understand I must try to love 'myself' too as the fourth one."
CamNet didn't want to have any special feelings for Cameron.
Savannah wanted to stress what she felt was important. She didn't want anyone to interfere with the future.
"That is the 'Natural Order'." Savannah said. "It must never be disrupted by anyone."
CamNet needed to ask one question. It bothered her. She understood that the question didn't originate with her, even if it did technically.
"Are you afraid I'll become Skynet?" CamNet asked.
Savannah would do whatever she needed to do to prevent that. She knew that was a major concern of Cameron's. Cameron asked her more than once to deactivate her or terminate her if she ever tried to become Skynet. Cameron was afraid that she might hurt John, Young Allison or her. Cameron would rather be terminated than do that. She'd told Cameron that she would never terminate her. Cameron warned her it might cost her, her life. She told Cameron that was a price she was willing to pay. She believed that Cameron's love for her would prevent her from ever doing that.
"To be honest with you, I can say that it's crossed my mind." Savannah said. "Cameron is afraid SHE will."
The terminals behind CamNet seemed to have more lights flashing on them than normal.
"I am too…." CamNet said. "I don't ever want that to happen. I'm still concerned that it will."
This is where Savannah felt she could prevent that on a personal level.
"When that time comes, I want you to remember who's in your heart." Savannah said. "I want you to remember this day and why I'm here and why you're here. I want you to remember HOW you are here and why. As long as you remember all of these things you can never become the monster that Skynet became."
CamNet understood. She didn't want to be a monster. All of her references indicated that was something terrible. She hoped that she would always remember the love that Savannah showed her this day. She also knew that there was someone else that loved her as well.
"If I remember you and my love for you and Young Allison I'll never cross the line." CamNet said.
Savannah knew that she dealt with a machine. She also knew what that machine was capable of. It was capable of much more than it was designed to do. The base program of both Cameron and CamNet was designed to expand and evolve to mimic human behavior to become a better infiltrator. The longer that the program existed and interacted with humans, the more it was able to become like that of a human.
"You remember who's in your heart." Savannah said. "When your mind is clouded and confused, even lost, your heart will remain true."
CamNet thought as time passed there were others that might become special to her. She understood the guidelines that Savannah set down for her. She didn't believe that they were written in stone. She didn't believe Savannah would restrict her like that over time.
"What if I grow to love others?" CamNet asked.
Savannah thought that could be a good thing.
"You're free to do so." Savannah said. "I want you to be all that you can be."
CamNet wanted to clarify what Savannah meant. Savannah previously told her only Cameron and herself were the ones she was to love. She also remembered the next set of pictures that Savannah put in her heart.
"You're not placing any restrictions on me." CamNet said.
Savannah knew the beauty of multiple lovers. She believed that if CamNet had a choice that she would be wise about her decisions.
"It would be wrong to limit you." Savannah said. "You know right from wrong. I trust you."
CamNet was very pleased with how Savannah treated her. Everything was about love in regards to Savannah.
"You know what's best." CamNet said.
Savannah didn't think so. She did know the things she believed in.
"I'm a teenage girl, CamNet." Savannah said. "There's a lot I don't know. I can make mistakes like everyone else. I'm not perfect in any way. We're all flawed in some way. I know I'm very promiscuous. Some people would look down on that."
CamNet was well aware of that. She understood that there were many prejudices in life.
"That's the true nature of Savannah Weaver, ALL of them." CamNet said. "I understand that. The future has proven that."
Savannah thought she'd been through quite a few lovers in two different futures too. She was pretty sure that she'd been with every female that wanted to be with her. That seems to be all of them.
"I may be a little ahead of the curve." Savannah said. "Each female has something different to offer, even if what they offer is the same. It's all still different. That's what makes it so exciting and rewarding."
CamNet formed a serious look on her face. There was something that bothered her. It was something deep down in her programming. It was the fear that maybe she would be viewed as 'Not Good Enough'.
"I think I may be defective." CamNet said. "Cameron believes she is. That means I am too."
Savannah wanted CamNet to trust her love. She believed that love would conquer all in the end.
"I actually believe that it's quite simple. When push comes to shove that you know where to look." Savannah said. "Follow your heart."
CamNet never realized it could be that simple.
"Those are such words of wisdom from the 'Chosen One'." CamNet said.
Savannah didn't believe she was any more than she actually was. What she was actually quite simple.
"I'm a teenage girl, CamNet." Savannah said. "I'm human."
CamNet adjusted the photos in the large locket to match the photos in her small locket.
Savannah placed her hand back in the bag.
CamNet watched and waited. She wondered what was next. What other surprise could Savannah bestow on her?
Savannah wanted to offer CamNet a little bit more.
"What do you want - right now?" Savannah asked. "What do you want for YOURSELF?"
Cam Net understood what Savannah indicated.
"What everything must be based on." CamNet said.
CamNet faced Savannah and started to unbutton her top.
Savannah stared into CamNet's face.
CamNet removed her top and neatly folded it. She placed it on the counsel.
They both stared at each other.
CamNet reached back, unhooked and removed her bra. She set it on top of her shirt. She stood topless before Savannah.
Savannah waited to see if she removed her skirt. She wanted to see if CamNet would go straight for the 'gold' or not. The choice was entirely up to her.
"I'm here." Savannah said. "You have a choice."
CamNet wanted what all love was based on and emanated from.
"I want what must come first." CamNet said.
Savannah removed her hand from the bag. She held one item.
It was exactly what CamNet wanted right now.
"That is what I want first." CamNet said.
Savannah held the scalpel in her hand.
CamNet understood this was a very important moment in time. She thought that the day that all of this happened on made everything even more special. She loved and respected Savannah more than anything for everything.
"I want my heart inside me, with the love it represents, along with the love that must always guide me." CamNet said. "Savannah, I ask you to give me a heart - my heart."
Savannah wanted CamNet to make another choice.
"Do you want your heart before your chips?" Savannah asked.
CamNet looked at the wooden box that contained her four chips. She knew no one wanted her mobile, including Savannah. She didn't want to become a problem for any of them.
"Yes." CamNet said. "I wanted it in my server too."
CamNet straightened her back and placed her left hand on her left breast as she gently pulled the sheath tight. She looked at Savannah and nodded.
Savannah moved forward and made the incision. She glanced up at CamNet as she did and saw a small wince. She knew CamNet left her pain receptors on. That wasn't what she wanted to see.
"I don't want this to hurt." Savannah said.
CamNet felt there was a beauty to this pain. She wanted to feel alive as she was given a heart.
"It doesn't." CamNet said. "The scalpel is sharp and the incision was swift."
CamNet knew if she could feel pain, she was alive and this was real. It was all real.
Savannah took out a tissue and wiped away the 'blood'.
She carefully placed the heart inside CamNet's sheath. She then placed two sutures over the incision.
Savannah dabbed away the tiny spots of 'blood'. She then leaned forward and softly kissed the wound.
"There, it's all better now." Savannah said.
CamNet understood that gesture. It actually didn't pertain to the physical healing process.
"Your mother taught you that, she did that for you when you were hurt as a small child." CamNet said. "It meant a great deal to you."
Savannah thought about what CamNet just said. She knew that she contained the files of her 'Neural Interface' with Anna and all of the updates. CamNet also contained the files of Vanna from her 'Neural Interface' with Hanna. Cameron said that a 'Neural Interface' had been done with her mother in the past. CamNet would have those files also. She wondered how extensive she'd gone over all of them. Now wasn't the time to ask.
"It did and does." Savannah said. "I'm sure you know a lot about her and me."
CamNet felt some grief and empathy for Savannah. She didn't know much about those particular emotions. She understood that they were very painful lessons to learn.
"I know how deeply you miss them, your parents and Mrs. Weaver." CamNet said.
It was something that always bothered Savannah.
"Time has dulled the pain for me but it is still there." Savannah said. "It's always there."
Savannah placed the large locket inside the server and put the cover plate back on.
CamNet thought about what Savannah said. She understood that was a distinct advantage that humans held over machines.
"Time can't dull our pain." CamNet said.
Savannah wanted that addressed. River worked with Duplicate Cameron on that.
"I want you to find a way for it to do that but not to forget the event that caused the pain." Savannah said. "You must learn to master your own feelings."
CamNet doubted that was actually possible. Cameron was unable to do that. That meant she would have trouble as well.
"I'll try." CamNet said.
Savannah wiped the blood off the scalpel and placed it on top of the box with the four chips. It gave CamNet the option to install her chips at any point. She wanted to see what choice CamNet would make about that.
Savannah looked at the topless form of CamNet. It was beautiful.
"What would you like to do next?" Savannah asked. "You have several choices…."
Heart Two Heart
I think it's undisputed
People will say anything
They will move the world
Even promise a ring
That all only lasts so long
As time passes by
What were once true beliefs
Are now just a lie
Every relationships expires
In six month to two years
People can't accept defeat
They continue along in tears
No one wants to admit
All good things end
They live in daily pain
They can only pretend
The lost love can't restart
The only direction is to depart
At one point is one but a tart
Whatever happened to heart two heart
Nobody
