That morning when Hermione went to brush her teeth, her gums wouldn't stop bleeding. Draco found her sobbing over the sink before he went to work and pulled her into a hug.
"What's wrong, darling?" he asked softly.
"My g-gums…" she wailed, "M-My parents!"
"Wh-What can I do?" he asked, very confused.
"I don't want to do this without them," she sobbed.
He sank them down to sit in the rug and pulled her into his lap, rocking her back and forth. "We'll figure it out," he murmured into her hair.
