2/2 for today!

Thursday, August 20, 1998

Hermione could tell that the rest of the people living in her house were up to something, but she didn't have the energy in her to figure it out. She noticed that Ginny and Theo had been out most of the afternoon yesterday and Theo had gotten up uncharacteristically early this morning, but Hermione just rolled over and fell back asleep.

She found herself much more tired than she had been so far in her pregnancy and she could feel Scorpius growing inside of her. Lulu was just following her around, offering all sorts of home remedies. "This is being very good, Mistress!" She chirped when Hermione was groaning from her spot on the library couch.

"How could this" she said gesturing to her aching stomach, "be good?"

"It means that the young Master will be being very strong and that Mistress can be handling all the troubles that might be coming!" Hermione groaned and laid the book she'd been pretending to read over her face. "Now it be being time for Mistress to be taking a nap," Lulu said curtly.

"But-" she started.

"No! Mistress and the Little Master be needing the rest then a big dinner!"

"Love," Theo said as they finished their dinner, "I wanted to talk to you about something."

Hermione looked up blearily from her Shrimp and Spinach pasta dish. "Hm?"

Theo cleared his throat, "I need to go on a trip for a few days. I need to go and visit some family."

"Oh," she said, perking up, "can I come?"

"You're in no state to travel!" Ginny said firmly. "These weeks are critical to Scorp's growth!"

Hermione groaned, "But we're fine!"

Draco scoffed, "Lulu told me all about how tired you were today, don't worry darling, we'll get to spend some quality time together while he's gone…"

Hermione felt herself flush, "How long will you be gone?"

"Hopefully just through the weekend," Theo said, smirking at her flush.

"You don't know?" She asked, petulantly.

"No, because sometimes business doesn't happen as fast as I want it to, I promise to bring you back a present!"

Hermione rolled her eyes, but allowed a small smile to peek through.
