One of my friends got married this weekend so I didn't have time to get these out on the day, but here is your missing weekend's worth of chapters!

Chapter 1/4 for today!

Wednesday, September 2, 1998

"Attack on Hogsmeade, get to HQ now!" said Kingsley's lynx patronus.

Hermione and Theo jolted up from their bed, throwing on jeans and t-shirts and Flooed to Headquarters. When they arrived they were greeted by absolute chaos.

Order members were running around, and when Remus saw them, he dragged them into the Operations room where Kingsley was standing with Harry.

"Good, you're here," Kingsley said deeply. "We need Hermione to make an appearance in the fight.

"Absolutely not!" Theo said coldly. "She's pregnant."

"Yes," Remus said, clearly uncomfortable with the request, "only for long enough to be seen."

"With Ron gone," Kingsley said firmly, "we need to make sure these two present a united front, there are whispers already."

"I should be able to hide my bump," Hermione said to Theo.

"It's not about hiding the bump, Hermione!" Theo said, exasperated. "What if you are hurt?"

"I'll protect her," Harry interjected.

Theo scoffed, "Some track record you have. The only reason you're alive is because of her! I refuse to let you go."

"What's happening?" Draco asked through their bond after feeling the dramatic emotions.

"Your wife is trying to attend the battle at Hogsmeade!" Theo said, smugly.

"Of course she should," Draco said, "she only needs to pop in for a second, long enough to be seen."

"She's carrying our child!" Theo shouted, causing Hermione to wince.

"I'll be going," Hermione thought and spoke at the same time.

Theo crossed his arms and glowered at the others in the room. "If anything happens to her," he choked out both verbally and mentally.

"It won't," Hermione said firmly. She could feel Draco radiating pride from his end of the bond.

"See you there, darling," Draco smirked.

Moments later Hermione and Harry were preparing to jump to the battle that was being waged. She looked at Theo who was standing along the wall, arms crossed looking equally annoyed and worried.

She grasped Harry's hand and they jumped through the Floo to the Hog's Head. The pub was abandoned, but Hermione could hear a battle being waged outside. When she and Harry peeked to look over the windows, they saw that there were small skirmishes happening all around them.

Harry cast an Expelliarmus at the nearest Death Eater, which caused the other Death Eaters to turn their way. Before she could do anything, a pack of three Death Eater's came towards them.

"The Mudblood is mine," she heard Draco's voice rasp through his mask. "Fucking Potter and his predicable spells." he added mentally.

Hermione stood, facing Draco, and began to cast spell after spell, she grinned as she saw both of them blocking each. "I think you need to kill me," Hermione said through the bond.

"What!?" they both heard Theo shout, both wincing slightly.

"I'll lean a little back and you can make sure I don't hit the ground too hard, but Hermione Granger needs to go," Hermione said. "Soon I won't be able to hide Scorp and I'll be a loose end that can't be protected. We need to do it now when Harry doesn't expect it. "

"You're so fucking smart, darling," Draco purred through the bond.

Theo was frantic at the other end. "Alright, but I'm sending Luna to back you all up."

A moment later, Luna was next to them and Draco shot a spell at Hermione. She felt it hit her and was forced through the window behind her. He'd cast a powerful combination of Petrificus Totalus, Bombarda, and a Cushioning spell. She could feel the small rivulets of blood running down her face from the broken glass, but laid there as still as she could. She heard Harry shout, and soon felt him shaking her, sobbing to come back.

"Luna is holding the rest off," Draco grunted through the bond.

"Is Hermione okay?" Luna said loudly in her eerily calm voice. When Harry continued to shout and sob, Luna continued, "You need to get her body back to Headquarters! Through the Floo!"

Once they were through the Floo, Hermione was wrenched from Harry's hands. "You bloody mad woman," Theo whisper shouted, casting the counter curse.

"Y-You're alright?" Harry asked, stunned.

"Of course she's bloody alright. Do you really think Draco would hurt her? He was always meant to be a bloody Gryffindor," he huffed.

"And you're my little Hufflepuff," Hermione cooed, reaching an arm up.

Theo grunted, but she could see a bit of pink tinge his cheeks.

"Your wife is alright," Theo said through the bond.

"I knew she would be, we've been called to retreat, I hope to see you later tonight, but with my lesson there is no guarantee," Draco said.

"Draco and I needed to end Hermione Granger," Hermione said, sitting up with Theo's help. "We needed your reaction to be authentic. Now you have something to get retribution for and Scorp and I won't have to be in the heat of battle."

Harry looked frustrated, "I suppose that makes sense."

"Plus now Draco can take credit for killing me," Hermione said with a shrug.

"That also means that you can't be at any more Order meetings," Theo said, clenching his jaw.

"I'll just hang out under Harry's cloak," Hermione said, grinning at him.

"I'm quite annoyed at the pair of you," Theo said.

Remus appeared moments later, "Nice work," he said, "Clever casting on yours and Draco's part."

"Wanted to tie up a loose end," Theo grumbled.

"And good work you did, but I need you two to go home so that when people start returning we can keep up the charade. Harry, can you handle the acting?"

"Yes," he said shortly. "I'm no stranger to the people I love dying."

Hermione did feel a little guilty when he put it like that. Theo didn't even give her time to respond, and since he was already holding her, carried her to the Floo and returned home. "I love you so very much," Theo said, "but I really hate that you didn't tell me the plan."

"There really wasn't a plan, but now you don't have to send me away to battle anymore?" Hermione asked sheepishly.

Theo huffed with feigned annoyance, but Hermione could tell that he was secretly quite pleased with the development.
