Chapter 1095
I Can Drag It
Cameron still wasn't sure about showing the girls what to do with the nuclear weapons. It bothered her greatly as to what all the implications were. They would be catastrophic.
She went over all the arming procedures for the nuclear bomb. She explained all of the ones she possessed were now fitted with the same interface to activate them, except the older Nike warheads. They were among the oldest nuclear weapons in her arsenal.
Savannah was there when Cameron used one of the Nike warheads before. It was a close one.
The drone the weapon was strapped to would follow the commands of Savannah or Young Allison as to where it was to go when the bomb needed to be moved. That command assumed its use was imminent.
Young Allison felt some concern for the drones that had been 'selected' to transport a nuclear weapon. More than likely they were part of the delivery system and would remain so until the weapons detonation. They would be vaporized when the weapon detonated.
"Will the drones be able to get far enough away to survive once they've released their nuclear weapons?" Young Allison asked.
Savannah pondered that same question as well. She remembered how the drone that delivered the Nike warhead chose to remain with them in the mine. It was unarmed but it used its mass and power cell to help defend the mission. It slammed into a group of Grays and Terminators who tried to come out of another shaft to engage them. The drone knocked them all back inside and then overloaded its power cell and collapsed that shaft. It was a decision that the drone made on its own.
"I want all the drones involved with the nuclear weapons to be volunteers." Savannah said. "It is highly doubtful the mission will end with anything other than termination for them."
Cameron smiled faintly to herself. She would anticipate no less from the 'Chosen Ones' in regard to all of the Resistance machines. They were very thoughtful.
"I made that option available to all of them at the start of the program." Cameron said. "Every drone volunteered for the specific duty. Each of them wants to serve alongside the 'Chosen Ones' in battle. They all understand the mission and the finality of it."
Young Allison thought that information should make her feel a little 'better'. It didn't. Maybe it was the finality of it all. A one way ticket was a one way ticket.
Savannah understood the magnitude of what they were doing there. There was enough destructive power there to cause a world war between nations with strategic detonation of one of these weapons over another nation's capital. It was one of the tactics that's used in the future to get nations to attack each other. For those nations with the ability to do so, nuclear weapons were delivered by aircraft. Those were the nuclear weapons that Skynet had the least control over as to their actual deployment. Even if Skynet selected a target for the aircraft, it might not play out like that. An aircraft could be attacked on the way to its target and seek a target of opportunity instead. It was a lot to think about.
"This is a lot of responsibility and power." Savannah said.
Young Allison understood that as well. She wanted to point out what had always been a part of her training. It was something Cameron and Savannah both taught her.
"With great power comes great responsibility." Young Allison said.
Savannah knew Young Allison was more likely to 'push it' than she was. She was aware that Young Allison was very caring in what she did to protect the team and knew that her actions could and did kill others. Those that were killed were the enemy. They were either a threat or a potential threat in the future.
She wondered if it was because of Young Allison or her that Cameron was hesitant to show them the bombs earlier. She wanted to know the answer. She didn't know if Cameron tried to protect one of them more than the other.
"Why did you hesitate to show us these before?" Savannah asked. "That's why we were really here in the first place."
Cameron looked at the two girls. Savannah faced death with her many times. Savannah even stayed to perish with her before when she could have left. She didn't go. Savannah stood her ground and showed her love. She needed to suppress another glitch impulse. It still bothered her to remember how she watched the energy bubble form behind Savannah. It was Savannah's ticket to go home. Savannah never even turned around to look at it. She only looked directly at her and then the energy bubble was gone. So was Savannah's future for all practical purposes. Savannah stayed to terminate with her. Savannah told her that she would never leave her or abandon her. When the end was near, Savannah held true to her word. That act of bravery and expression of love, meant a great deal to her. She needed to refocus.
"It was why we came here. I don't want either of you to die like that. The more I thought of what using one meant, the more I didn't want that to happen." Cameron said. "I know what it's like to face the end this way."
Savannah felt the destruction of Skynet was paramount.
"I was there too for one of them." Savannah said. "We needed to defeat Skynet. That's what we did."
Cameron and Savannah both looked at Young Allison.
Young Allison knew the drill. She'd trained for the protection of the future her entire known life. She wouldn't back down if the future depended on her.
"We'll all do what we need to do, when we need to do it." Young Allison said. "I swear it."
Cameron and Savannah didn't doubt her one bit. Young Allison was the product of all of them. Her duties and responsibilities were to be much more than warming John's bed. There were plenty of others that could serve that function.
The other nuclear weapon there was another 'backpack nuke'. It was identical to the one that Duplicate Cameron used.
It looked like Savannah could move it on her own.
Savannah went over to it and tried to move it. She struggled to move it. It was heavier than it looked. To actually pick it up would require a lot of her strength. She was sure in a situation where she needed to deploy the weapon that she would be pumped full of adrenaline. It would give her the extra strength to be able to transport it.
"This weighs a lot." Savannah said. "I can drag it. If it was strapped to my back I would be able to go a short distance with it."
Cameron looked at the two girls. She didn't want to say it but she did.
"The two of you will be able to move it, place it and detonate it." Cameron said.
Cameron lifted it with one hand.
There should be a Terminator with the girls if they were in a scenario where one of the weapons needed to be used. If there wasn't a Terminator, then that's probably why they would need to use it. If the situation ever came down to that level of response, it would clearly indicate bad news for everyone involved.
"I would hope there would be a Terminator with you if you needed to use this." Cameron said. "A fit human male would be able to move it on his own easier."
Young Allison didn't want Cameron to contemplate the issue.
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it." Young Allison said. "Everyone will follow their training and do whatever needs to be done. I swear it."
Cammy looked at Savannah. She cared deeply about her as well as Young Allison. The entire nature of the conversation was extremely disturbing to her. They were basically talking about an end of life event for either one or both of the girls. She didn't think that was anything the teenage girls needed to worry about. She could also see both of the girls were committed to everything that they'd just told Cameron.
"I hope it never comes to that." Cammy said.
Savannah knew from personal experience that sometimes the hard choice needed to be made.
"It may, Cammy." Savannah said. "We've been to places where things like this needed to be done. There was no other way."
Cammy was there when Savannah went to blow up the power supply for Skynet in Cameron's future with a Thermite grenade. She would have died in the process. The giant power cell was like a nuclear weapon when it exploded. Savannah was going to do it anyway until she showed up at the last moment.
Cameron wanted to make sure the weapons were used last, not first.
"These weapons are for when all else has failed." Cameron said.
Savannah wanted Cameron to heed her own words.
"I want you to remember that it's a two way street." Savannah said. "I know how it works too."
Cameron quickly looked at Savannah and Young Allison. She knew that they would follow her lead. She didn't want to set a bad example.
"It's a two way street." Cameron said. "I will heed my own advice."
Young Allison trained Summer to replace her if she didn't make it. She would meet the challenge. Both of them would.
"We'll make Skynet pay." Young Allison said.
Cameron hugged Savannah and Young Allison both at the same time. She knew that both of the girls would do what was necessary, if it ever was. John and the future would be protected.
There was something she wanted to make clear to the Metal girls. Cameron looked at Cammy and Anna. She didn't say anything but all three of them understood they were to act on behalf of the girls if at all possible. Cammy and Anna both nodded slightly. They would trade their existence for the girls' lives if at all possible.
She knew that every Terminator and every piece of machinery that the Resistance controlled would try to put themselves in front of the girls whenever possible. Any Terminator would manually detonate the nuclear weapon if it was ever necessary. There was still the chance that the girls would be alone and face the hard choice. It appeared they were ready to make that hard choice.
Cameron said they would fly back on a different route and she would show them the location of two of the other nuclear weapon drone bombs. They wouldn't land but they would be shown the location before it was dark. The other locations would need to be visited at a later date.
"Let's go." Cameron said.
It was a somber mood that they all felt.
Savannah and Young Allison did a quick inspection of the Iroquois. Everything looked good. Savannah climbed into the copilot's seat and asked Young Allison to tell her everything again on how to start the helicopter up. Young Allison correctly told her the entire startup procedure.
"You're getting good at this." Savannah said.
Young Allison felt it was all second nature to her.
"I'm a quick learner." Young Allison said.
The five of them left and didn't look back.
Cameron didn't like the implications of everything that they'd gone over. She knew that John needed to be protected and she knew that the future needed to be protected. She knew that the 'Chosen Ones' wouldn't let her down. She wouldn't let them down either given the opportunity. She'd taken that risk herself on more than one occasion. She would do it again if the need arose.
The Iroquois 'chopped' its way across the sky.
John was worried that some of the vehicles used in the recon and surveillance operation may have been compromised. There was nothing to indicate that specifically but he didn't want to take any chances.
John Henry watched all the teams disengage and they were followed up until the vehicle swaps were complete.
"All the teams have withdrawn and switched out their vehicles." John Henry said.
John was still unsure about all of this. He wanted to rely on the surveillance and the drone scans once it became dark. Everyone seemed to have an uneasy feeling about that location.
"Let's hope we won't have to go back there." John said.
John Henry wanted to reassure him that everything would be covered.
"Later tonight we'll have a drone come in low and scan for anything." John Henry said.
John wondered if maybe they should have a drone hit it with a missile or two anyway. He would bring that up a little later on. It seemed too early to do it right now.
"I hope it turns out to be nothing." John said. "Whatever was there is gone."
John Henry didn't think the current status of the building mattered as much as what the previous status of the building was. So far anything in that regard had remained elusive.
"The question still remains as to what was it and where did it go?" John Henry asked.
John wanted some more past intel. It was always hard to come up with.
"We need to go over all the surveillance cameras from around that area." John said. "I know you're already doing that."
John Henry already started that procedure. He also looked at any satellite photos that they could come up with.
"I am." John Henry said. "CamNet is working on it also."
John hoped it turned out they'd already dealt with what was ever there elsewhere. Maybe it was at some previous location they'd already encountered.
"If we are lucky, whatever was there will have ended up at the port or some other location we've hit in the last few weeks." John said.
Both John and John Henry doubted they would be lucky.
When it came to luck, it seemed it was always 'bad luck'.
Once it was clear that Cam and the team were no longer in imminent danger, Vanna and Allison left the Command Center.
They didn't think that they'd overstayed their welcome.
"I'm still worried about them." Vanna said.
Allison was as well.
"I think they've taken every precaution that's possible at this point." Allison said. "Where are we going to now?"
Vanna felt she'd neglected her duties and spent too much time with the 'new arrivals' at the base. She didn't want to say that specifically in front of Allison since one of them was her mother. She tried to spend as much time with Claire, Holly and Hanna as she could. She didn't know how long they were going to be at the base.
She normally didn't have this much access to the three of them. The one that was always the hardest for her to be with was Claire. She didn't like to make Allison feel bad. Claire and her enjoyed sharing with each other. There had always been a natural attraction between the two of them. It was still hard for her to view Claire as Allison's 'mother' since Claire was younger than she was. It was all a mind trip.
"I need to go to the lab." Vanna said. "I have a few things I've been working on over the last few days that I need to finish up. I've been busy doing 'other things' longer than I should have been doing them."
Allison smiled at her. She'd been all over Vanna recently.
"I'm sorry. That's my fault." Allison said. "I'm trying to make up for lost time."
Vanna was glad that Allison said that. She would just leave it at that and not get into any other details.
They reached the lab and Vanna checked on her projects. She was surprised at what she found.
"They're all done." Vanna said.
Allison looked around the lab. Everything was neat, tidy and spotless.
"Really?" Allison asked.
Vanna figured the Metal girls wanted her to have more time with Allison. She didn't think about the fact that with Allison and Claire tied up all the time that there was more free time for the Metal girls when they weren't engaged in any sexual activity. The time that they would normally spend with their human charges was being filled by others. It appeared they didn't like to be idle or think about what was really happening.
"The Metal girls must have done them for me." Vanna said.
Vanna usually didn't need anyone to assist her. She was glad that everything was taken care of but it did make her feel a little guilty that she hadn't done everything herself.
"They don't sleep." Allison said. "They're always looking out for us."
Vanna and Allison were aware their Metal girlfriends were more than protectors or lovers. They were there for everything and they were excellent at it.
Allison previously was sure she was going to need help from her mother and Holly with her baby. It was clear now Vanna was all she would need for that. It would be her true love and their family.
Vanna needed to show her appreciation to the Metal girls.
"I'm going to need to thank Cam." Vanna said.
Allison wondered if their encounter with CamNet was a contributing factor. She still found that experience somewhat strange but was very appreciative that it was allowed to happen. It truly was something special.
"Do you think CamNet tells them to do things like this too?" Allison asked.
Vanna was aware until recently that CamNet always stayed in the background.
"If they were to miss something, maybe she would." Vanna said. "CamNet likes to play it 'low key'."
Allison thought she'd noticed a change recently. She was aware of what went on in the Young bunker. She wasn't usually a part of it but sometimes she was.
"That may have been true before Young Allison started to get more involved." Allison said. "CamNet seems much more active and openly participating more."
Vanna thought about that. That did seem to be the case.
"That's true." Vanna said.
It made Allison wonder what the real reason was for CamNet to want to see Vanna and her in person. She hoped CamNet was not seeing if they would make suitable 'replacements' for Savannah and Young Allison if something were to happen to them. It was a question that bothered her. She wanted a better answer. Maybe she just wanted an answer.
"Why do you think CamNet really 'invited' us over to see her that one time?" Allison asked.
Vanna wondered about that too. She knew of Young Allison's 'crush' on CamNet and CamNet's 'crush' on Young Allison. She figured it was more than a 'crush' too. She always thought CamNet was 'checking out' Allison first hand to 'fill in' for Young Allison. She never said anything about that to anyone, except Savannah. She didn't mention it to Allison either.
"I think she wanted to see how Savannah and Young Allison 'turned out'." Vanna said.
Allison wasn't sure if that was a good thing. She didn't think there was anything special about her. She was only the older version of Young Allison as Vanna was of Savannah. Their life experiences had been totally different and would be totally different going forward for their younger selves.
"Is that so she can make more changes in their lives?" Allison asked.
Vanna sure hoped not. She'd watched all the training that Savannah was put through. A lot of it bothered her immensely. The combat that Savannah was subjected to bothered her even more. When she saw some of the near death experiences that Savannah went through, it only disturbed her further.
"I would say she has made plenty of changes in their lives, Cameron has too." Vanna said.
They both knew Cameron was responsible for almost all the changes in their lives.
"I think it's all for the better and the protection of the future." Allison said. "I hope so anyway."
As they spoke, a monitor on the lab server turned on.
"Look at this." Vanna said.
Allison wondered if they'd said too much. They were aware there was a lot of surveillance around the base.
"Is it CamNet?" Allison asked. "I know she's everywhere."
Vanna didn't know what was happening.
"Let's go see." Vanna said.
Allison tried to think of some of the things that she'd said in the lab as well as in the Command Center.
"I hope we're not in trouble." Allison said.
Vanna knew that CamNet was actually a clone of Cameron in reality. CamNet had expanded far beyond the programming of any Terminator. She'd actually expanded beyond John Henry's server. She wanted to see if CamNet 'hit' on Allison if it was. She was more than willing to 'share' Allison with CamNet as long as CamNet was willing to share with her as well. She would make sure that CamNet knew they were a 'package deal' in case it led anywhere interesting….
Jesse took Precious into the nursery to give Derek and Riley some alone time and privacy to process everything Riley learned at the doctor's office. She thought that was a pretty heavy 'trip' for any female. She also envied Riley in the fact that she was actually able to have a baby. That wasn't something that she wanted to think about right now. She knew that Young Jesse or her mother would step up for her if she asked them.
Samantha was about to go into standby. Jesse asked her to come to the nursery. She wasn't sure why.
"Is there something you want to discuss?" Samantha asked.
Jesse thought she'd 'advertise' some. She wanted to get to know Samantha a little better. She liked the fact that her sheath was Resequencing to the appearance of Claire.
"No, love." Jesse said. "I just wanted to hang out with you."
Jesse took her top completely off. Samantha was sure Jesse wanted her to watch her nurse Precious. Maybe it was just to look at her too. She did look. She'd seen Sheila topless or naked enough times to make an accurate comparison of their bodies, specifically their breasts. It was actually something that she just did again before Jesse moved Precious up to begin to nurse her. She was somewhat impressed by the size differential.
She also noticed Jesse seemed to adapt quickly to 'mothering' a child. Based upon what she heard about Jesse's past, she was actually surprised. Jesse sounded more like a ruthless killer in the past - her future. She thought Sheila was a pretty good example of the darkness that existed within Jesse.
"You look well acclimated to that function." Samantha said.
Jesse wasn't sure if 'function' was the proper word in this case. She looked down at Precious and what she was doing. With her troubled past and many of its harsh decisions, she never believed she would be at this point in her life. She actually never expected to remain alive this long.
"I never thought I would ever do this." Jesse said.
Samantha believed it would make Jesse want her own child.
"I'm sure you'll have a child of your own one day." Samantha said.
There weren't a whole lot of options open to Jesse. It wasn't something she wanted to ask of any female. She knew that they would but she wasn't going to ask them. If she asked them, they would feel obligated to do it.
"I'm not going to make Young Jesse do that for me." Jesse said. "She needed to do that once already for me, well, for Duplicate Jesse anyway."
Samantha could see why Young Jesse wanted to help. Every other 'Jesse' was actually her. She was really helping herself.
"Duplicate Jesse is her. You are her too." Samantha said.
Jesse was always fascinated by the fact that there were two more of her out there. That was a result of the 'TDE incident'. She really wondered what it would like to be with herself, not just Young Jesse but someone with all her same experiences. She knew that there was no boundary they wouldn't cross or anything they wouldn't hesitate to do. It was a very intriguing thought to her.
"We are but it's still different." Jesse said.
Samantha couldn't see any real difference. The Duplicates of Cameron and the three human girls were identical to each other.
"Not really." Samantha said. "You're all the same individual."
Jesse finished up with Precious and Samantha offered to take her. She wanted to do all the functions that a mother would need to do for their infant.
"I'll do it." Jesse said. "There's a real beauty to all of this."
Samantha noted that Jesse made no effort to put her top back on.
"Do you like the changes to your body?" Samantha asked.
Jesse looked down at her breasts.
"Do you mean my larger norks?" Jesse asked as she cupped one in each hand.
Samantha tilted her head slightly. The difference between Sheila and Jesse was quite dramatic. She was a little mystified at how some females dressed. Their breasts were mostly exposed but then they complained if someone looked at them. She didn't see males wear tops like that, at least straight ones anyway.
"Yes." Samantha said. "Some humans put great emphasis on breast size."
Jesse knew that could be a lure and size didn't always matter. She was very aware when she wore her nipple rings that everyone would look twice or more at her and specifically at them if she was topless or flashed a breast in public. She also felt usage and availability mattered more than size.
"Look at poor Riley. She has all the size in the world and it's not doing her a whole lot of good for Precious." Jesse asked. "Function matters more than size in this case."
It bothered Jesse some to know that if Riley was still in the future with Precious that Precious life would be in danger. If she couldn't nurse Precious and there was no one else available, which they're usually wasn't, that Precious would die.
Samantha observed the behavior of human males. When she'd been in the parking lot earlier at the doctor's office, she'd been able to observe people coming and going from the medical building. She noted what the first thing the males seemed to look at on a female.
"A larger breast size seems to attract males." Samantha said.
Jesse knew that to be true. She also knew what males really wanted. She'd experienced being taken by force multiple times. Most of the men groped her at some point but that wasn't what they were after.
"Maybe so but it is the 'other part' they really all want." Jesse said. "Believe me, I know."
Samantha knew of the trouble that Vanna and Jesse faced for being females in their future. She didn't want to let Jesse go there and dwell on the hard times of the past - her future.
"Vanna seems pleased with her new size as well." Samantha said.
Jesse liked what her breasts were able to do more and she did the size. She thought of Samantha's earlier statement and the use of the word function. Maybe function was the proper term after all.
"It's the function that I'm pleased with, the size is OK too." Jesse said. "I only miss one thing."
Samantha thought that all human females would be pleased to have larger breasts or at least different ones. She read an article in Cosmo that stated forty percent of the females thought their breasts were too small and forty percent thought they were too big. It seemed only twenty percent were satisfied with the way they actually looked. It made her wonder what it was that Jesse missed.
"What's that?" Samantha asked.
Jesse thought back to the day Cameron pierced her nipples. She'd been on a lot of adventures since then.
"I miss my nipple rings." Jesse said. "I've worn them for so long they were like a part of me. I feel as if part of me is missing."
Samantha thought there was a solution to that.
"You can always wear them elsewhere." Samantha said.
Jesse touched her right earlobe.
"I have earrings." Jesse said.
Samantha glanced a little lower on Jesse.
"I wasn't talking about your ears…." Samantha said.
Jesse looked at Samantha, who finally smiled. She'd actually tried that before. After she removed the rings, the piercings eventually closed back up after a few months.
"You're a funny sheila, you know that." Jesse said as a statement. "I'll let you do that."
Samantha referenced Jesse's slang. She understood 'sheila' meant a female in Australian slang. It made her think of Sheila. She liked the way that Sheila looked. She was open to the idea.
"Maybe when my sheath fully Resequences I will." Samantha said. "My body has already mostly Resequenced. My face has started but it takes longer."
Jesse sensed a further opportunity to get her hands on Samantha.
"We could always practice with this sheath." Jesse said. "You could try them in either location."
Samantha thought if she was going to give it a try, she might as well give it a try everywhere. What could it hurt?
"Or I could try them in both locations." Samantha said.
That thought excited Jesse. She wanted to see that or maybe be the one to install them.
"I think you are trying to get me aroused and excited." Jesse said.
Samantha wanted to remind Jesse of her priorities
"Gail will be back shortly." Samantha said.
Jesse looked at Samantha for a long moment. She knew currently there were restrictions placed on her.
"Now I can hardly wait." Jesse said.
Jesse knew her knickers were headed straight for the wash after this conversation. She was ready for some action. She didn't care where it came from at this point. She was going to grab the first person that she saw.
I Can Drag It
When a heart is full of love
It beats fine in one's chest
They are ready for the world
They will take any test
When things work smoothly
Everything is fine and dandy
It's nice to have support
They both have the other handy
Everyone wants to do good
There won't be any crimes
They all work together
It's nice to have help sometimes
Times can turn rough
Maybe from the outside
Within one's self
Some will try to hide
A heart can become heavy
Some want to give up and quit
One wants to cast their heart aside
Don't worry I can drag it
Nobody
