Chapter 1146
None Has Been Spotted
John wanted to make a break from the private area before he spotted the guests in the Master Suite. He didn't know the guests were actually Holly and Gail. It looked to him like the coast was clear so he indicated the door out of the private area and into the hallway to Cameron.
"Let's bounce." John said.
Cameron and John exited the private area of the three luxury suites and headed for the elevator.
They passed by a row of regular suites as they left the private area.
John glanced over at the regular suites. He hoped no one exited from one of the rooms. They would more than likely attempt to give him some type of greeting and maybe start a conversation with him. He especially didn't want any of them to know that they'd just come from the private area with the three large luxury suites. He didn't want to get pegged as a high roller, right off of the bat.
Cameron glanced over at where John looked. She could see his concern about the regular suites. She didn't think it was going to be a problem. She was aware that the first five suites next to the private area were under the control of CamNet. She wanted to make sure there were plenty of rooms available for any hookups that might develop.
"Everything's under control." Cameron said. "It doesn't sound like anyone is about to exit any of these rooms."
John briefly glanced at her as they continued along the aisle way.
"I'd really like to grab a snack to eat." John said.
Cameron wanted to give John a 'heads up' on what would happen on the cruise. She didn't want him to feel needless apprehension over things that shouldn't be a problem one way or the other. People went on vacation to have a good time. They didn't go on a vacation to look for trouble or create problems. The whole purpose of a vacation was to 'get away from it all' for a few days or weeks.
"You're probably going to eat at least twice as much as you usually do on this trip." Cameron said. "It's normal for many of the passengers."
John remembered that several of the previous guests commented on that in their personal videos about their experience on the ship. He looked over at Cameron's trim figure. He knew that most human females would die to look like her. He wondered if he should exercise more.
"Maybe I should take the stairs." John said. "It sounds like I'm going to take in a lot more calories."
Cameron really thought it would depend upon how many of the different eating venues John wanted to try. It would more than likely be three times the normal calorie level, even if the food was only twice the normal amount. Most of the food items on the cruise ship were very high in caloric content. They did offer some low calorie dishes but what was the point? When it was vacation time, calories didn't matter. It was only for a week.
John and Cameron started up the stairs.
Cameron did some rough calculations. She believed that anyone who went on a cruise gained weight. She wasn't sure she'd seen any accounts of someone who went on a cruise and lost weight.
"You'll gain about ten pounds over the length of this voyage." Cameron said.
John knew it was more than a pound a day.
"It sounds like a lot." John said.
Cameron gave him a little hope.
"It would have been twelve pounds but with your scheduled increase in sexual activity, it will keep those other two pounds down." Cameron said. "I already knocked a pound off you these last few days."
Cameron flashed John a smile with the reminder.
John let Cameron do most of the action the last week.
"Maybe I'd better start doing more of the work myself." John said.
Cameron was ready to try everything and step in to finish the job if it was necessary. It was something she was used to anyway. It wasn't a problem. She was aware a happy customer was a repeat customer.
"I won't stop you." Cameron said. "Whenever you get tired, I'll take over. It will be a seamless transition."
John thought about It. It seemed Cameron did a lot of those already. She could please him to no end and then take it a little further beyond. It was really out of this world at times.
He didn't think he was a slacker but he did know that over the years he took less time to make sure Cameron finished. He almost always finished. It seemed that the duration of their lovemaking sessions dropped down considerably in time from what he tried to do for a while. He was normally done in two to three minutes. He didn't think Cameron ever made it one of those times. She always told him everything was fine as he rolled off of her. He needed to refocus.
John wondered how many stairs there were as they went up the stairwell. It seemed like a lot already. He'd lost track of the floors. They soon exited the stairway and onto the pool deck. It was a welcome relief. They were one deck below the top deck which ran the full length of the ship.
He could smell the food even on the open deck as soon as they exited the hallway.
"Everything smells good." John said as they neared the pool area.
Cameron looked around the pool deck. There were several choices available to John.
"What do you want first, pizza or a burger?" Cameron asked.
John watched the food being cooked right next to him.
"It looks like the burgers are cooked to order." John said. "I'll order my burger. While it's cooking, I'll get some pizza. I can see three different kinds from here. Look, one pizza is just out of the oven and the cheese is still bubbling."
Cameron wanted John to be careful around the bubbling cheese.
"Don't burn yourself. It will be very hot." Cameron said. "I want to make sure your mouth is functioning at one hundred percent, for later on."
Cameron smiled at John and winked.
John looked at Cameron and laughed.
The pool was right next to them. John hoped to spot some Hot females but the majority of passengers were still boarding.
"I don't think the pool is open yet." John said.
Cameron knew that the majority of passengers would want to put away their carry on luggage before they headed to one of the eating establishments or decided to take a look around the ship. She was aware on any given voyage of a cruise ship that about two thirds of the guests had never been on a cruise ship before. Others may have been on a cruise ship previously from a different company. Other than cruise ships of the same class, no two cruise ships were the same, even if the layout of them was very similar in most regards. They're checked luggage would arrive throughout the day. It took a while to get all the luggage dispersed to the various cabins throughout the ship.
"The pools will open soon." Cameron said. "Don't forget, there are several of them."
John ordered a bison burger with extra cheese on a whole wheat bun and headed for the pizza station. There seemed to be numerous other options available at both of the venues.
Cameron wondered why John ordered a different type of meat. She wasn't aware anything other than beef, pork or chicken was used in any cooking at the Resistance base.
"Why did you order bison meat?" Cameron asked.
She wasn't really sure if animals more intelligent than regular cattle should be slaughtered just to be consumed. They were both of the bovine family anyway.
Since there was some variety, John wanted to try it out.
"I never tried any before. I wanted to try something different." John said. "It's supposed to be leaner meat than hamburger. I thought about the venison burger too. Maybe I'll try that next time."
The name 'hamburger' always bothered Cameron.
"There's no cured or processed pork in hamburger." Cameron said. "It's illogical it should be called by that name."
John heard some different stories about the name.
"Some things in life are like that." John said. "Maybe it's like some say that it originated in Hamburg Germany."
Cameron ran across that idea too before. She checked the limited data available in her files.
"I don't know." Cameron said. "There are many who dispute that claim."
John went to the pizza area and took a slice of pepperoni pizza. It was the one that just came out of the oven.
Cameron saw that the cheese still bubbled.
"Be careful." Cameron said.
John never ate pizza like this before.
"It is hard to get a real pizza this fresh." John said. "It's really good too."
He'd warmed up frozen pizza this hot before. It was manly because he didn't pay attention and it started to burn. It seemed he took after his mother when it came to cooking. He was usually in a hurry and didn't feel like reading the instructions. How hard could it be to warm up pizza?
John offered Cameron a bite. She tried a very small one. She mainly did it to check the temperature and slow John down a little.
"Do you want to sit here by the pool or take your things into the buffet?" Cameron asked.
John looked at the clock on the wall between the pizza station and the grill area. He tried to remember the different times each of the eating establishments was open for business.
"We still have ten minutes before the buffet opens don't we?" John asked.
Cameron didn't think there was any reason to hurry.
"It's nine and a half minutes." Cameron said.
John didn't think it would take him long to eat both items.
"I think I can polish these off out here." John said. "I like the fresh salt air."
Cameron glanced around her. She looked up towards the giant green bridge that was very near them. There were a lot of vehicles traversing it. She looked around the harbor area and the land that surrounded it. There was a lot of vehicle traffic there as well. She thought as long as there was a mild sea breeze that the air may seem a little fresher to John. In reality, it was still heavily polluted, even if not to the same extent as the air he normally breathed. One thing was for sure, it was way better than the air in the future.
"It will be fresher once we're out to sea." Cameron said.
Cameron was aware there were various sea lanes for the ship traffic. They were also predetermined courses for the cruise ships as they neared their ports.
John already finished his slice of pizza before his burger was ready. He took it, thanked the cook and started to put some condiments on it.
Cameron watched John put some mayonnaise on the bun. It reminded her of something else. She was about to mention it when she decided maybe she'd better not. She'd made a joke previously about mayonnaise. She couldn't help but look down at her legs.
John took a bite of his bison burger. He paused for a moment and looked at the burger he held in his hands. It was clearly the best burger he'd ever eaten.
"This is so good." John said. "It's fresh and cooked right."
John couldn't even begin to compare it to some of the ones his mother made over the years. There simply was no comparison. He didn't want to belittle her cooking ability because he didn't believe he was any better. At least he normally didn't burn the pan water was boiled in.
Cameron was aware food at the base was very basic. No one wanted to spend the time to make things. Most of the Terminators volunteered to cook things for those at the Resistance base. Everyone always declined except Savannah. She wanted to assist anyone who wanted to help her. Now that Claire was around, things might change if she moved in.
"The food at the base has been kind of bland for you." Cameron said. "If Claire stays at the base, she's volunteered to take over all the cooking for everyone."
Cameron hoped Claire would be willing to take over a few more domestic duties as well for John.
The reminder about food made John think of the things Claire made for him on very short notice. Her youngest daughter was a good cook too.
"Claire sure can cook." John said. "Summer can too."
Cameron didn't want John to overlook his future mates.
"So can Savannah and Young Allison." Cameron said. "They're skilled in all domestic functions or they soon will be."
John didn't want to go there. He was sure what some of the 'domestic functions' would be. He really wasn't opposed to them at this point at all. It just didn't seem like the right place to think about it. He thought about it enough as it was already. He wanted to show Cameron what he meant about his burger.
"Take a bite of my burger." John said.
Cameron tried a small taste. She would use it for reference in the future. She did know that her HUD warnings were considerably less than they were from some of the food John normally consumed. The fresh pizza he'd tried earlier set all of them off anyway.
John finished off his burger and they headed for the buffet. He looked around for some place to put his plate but didn't see one. He was going to leave it on one of the empty tables that were on the pool deck. Before he could set it down, an attendant collected it from him.
The buffet just opened as they arrived. They went inside and John took in the vast selection of food. He'd been to more than a few smorgasbords over the years. Many of them were limited in scope. There were a few that had a wide selection but he needed to remember that even if he hadn't been to one of them in several years, everything still tasted the same. Everything was always the same at those locations.
The way things were arranged on the ship's buffet was very aesthetic to the eye. More than that, everything looked fresh. He really wished his mother, father and sister could see the spread. He wished that all of the team could see it. It only reaffirmed his earlier desire to bring more of the Resistance team on board.
"Wow!" John said. "Look at all this food. We need to invite some of the others if we still can. They have to see this and try this."
It was Cameron's goal all along and why the three main suites and several standard suites were under her direct control. Savannah and Young Allison's earlier admonitions still bothered her some. She felt John had a voice as well.
"We still can. It's fine with me." Cameron said. "Is that what you'd like?"
John liked everything about the ship so far and he'd hardly seen much of it yet. He'd really only been on three decks so far and hadn't looked around.
"I think it is." John said. "I want to share this with my family and friends."
John's statement pleased Cameron immensely. She didn't scan John to check his truthfulness. She didn't believe that she needed to. John had made mention of the same thing several times. She could see by the look on his face and in his eyes that he was sincere. She thought it might be a better idea if he tried to speak with the others first but she still felt it was her responsibility. If she ran into too much negative influence she would have the General take over and stand up for what he believed in. It was how things were supposed to work in the future anyway. She wanted them to work as a team when it was necessary.
"You go and get a plate full of food and I'll see about getting some of the others to come here and join us." Cameron said.
John didn't want Cameron to have to do his 'dirty work' for him. He looked over at the buffet and at least wanted to get some food dished up. Maybe he would let her do the footwork. If there was a problem, he could take over. Isn't that how it was supposed to work anyway? He also wanted to get something for Cameron to try.
"Do you want anything specific from the buffet?" John asked.
Cameron didn't plan to try more than a taste of anything. She didn't see the need to rush things. There'd be plenty for her to try over the next seven days. She looked down at her flat stomach and was glad she didn't need to worry about getting fat.
"Not just yet." Cameron said.
John headed down the row of food. He selected multiple items. He decided he needed to use some portion control or he was going to need a second plate. He briefly thought about doing that but figured it would be easier just to make a second trip. He didn't want his food to get cold when it didn't need to.
Cameron sat at a table by the window and took out her phone.
The way things played out were the way Cameron wanted John to see and understand them. It was one thing to say that the others should go. What she been able to allow John to experience so far proved to him why the others should go. The living accommodations were top notch and even with the limited selection of food he'd been able to view, it was clear it was top notch as well.
She also wanted as many of the girls as possible to be available for John. The more Metal girls she got on board gave her a wider variety of chassis to swap with. She planned to claim as many virgin chassis as possible for John, with her in control. It would be the best honeymoon ever.
Cammy and Savannah watched the homeless man inside the compound from the drone footage.
Cammy felt they'd watched him long enough. She wanted some action.
"I think we've seen what the deal is." Cammy said.
Savannah wanted some updates to make sure it was clear.
"I think so." Savannah said. "Does John Henry have any additional information for us?"
John Henry hadn't been able to find anything more about the compound than he already knew. He was still bothered by the fact that there was what appeared to be at least one homeless individual inside of the complex.
"I don't have any additional information to add at this time." John Henry said.
Allison still wanted to know more about what was parked in the vicinity of the port complex.
"We're checking the vehicles parked around there." Allison said.
Cammy hoped it didn't turn into an additional problem. It was possible there could be surveillance set up in one of the surrounding buildings or in a vehicle that was parked in the vicinity. She wanted to know what other threats they were going to face.
"What's the story on that?" Cammy asked.
John Henry currently reviewed all of that information as well. He wasn't ready to make a conclusive determination yet.
"It's too soon to tell." John Henry said.
Savannah didn't want to get caught 'flat footed'. It seemed to her that some type of preliminary assessment should be available. They didn't need an absolute. They just needed a heads up.
"Let us know if anything develops, even if it's a suspicion." Savannah said.
John Henry said he would.
Cammy wanted to get started. She felt they'd wasted enough time.
"Let's go." Cammy said.
Cammy and Savannah started out towards the compound.
Savannah thought the compound would look more 'shot up' than it did. It was already dark when she was there previously. She'd only been able to hear the extent of the gunfire and the explosions.
"It doesn't look that bad from the outside." Savannah said.
The duration of the fight was very limited.
"That's what we tried for." Cammy said. "Many of the terminations occurred inside."
They passed by the front of the compound and along the side of it until they reached the back. They stayed on the far side of the street. They wanted it to look like two girls going for a walk.
"I don't see any breeches along those two walls." Cammy said. "The main gate is still closed and locked."
They were now at the back with a truck gate and a bigger gate for the rail cars to enter.
"Both of these gates are secure too." Cammy said.
Savannah noticed more damage on the back side of the structure. She could see the stacked containers where she'd taken cover previously. She did notice one thing that was different about them.
"I can see the damage to the rear of the building where the big doors were for the rail cars to enter the building." Savannah said. "It looks like all the containers are still in place. The doors are open on all of them."
Cammy remembered there was a discussion at the time the containers were inspected by another team of Terminators. They could either leave the doors open to make sure that nothing was placed in them or they could close them and make it look like they hadn't been disturbed. The downside to that was if somebody did place something in them, they wouldn't know. They would all need to be opened and checked again. It was decided to leave them open.
"It was done to make them easier to surveil and make sure no one tried to use them." Cammy said.
Savannah wanted another drone update. She was concerned about more than just the compound.
"John Henry, is there anyone around where we're at?" Savannah asked.
John Henry checked over the drone images. He hadn't noticed anything different since the girls set out on foot to approach the port complex.
"No." John Henry said. "Everything is still the same as it was when you exited your vehicle."
Savannah was ready to breach the compound. Cammy could snap the lock or they could go over the fence. If they went over the fence, it would be less obvious someone was inside of the compound currently.
"We're going to go over the rear fence." Savannah said. "Everything is still locked up."
Savannah looked at her phone to see where the homeless man was at. She didn't see him.
"Where did he go?" Savannah asked.
Savannah hoped to get a direct visual sighting on the man.
John Henry wanted to make sure he knew where the man was at, at all times. He'd briefly lost the drone image of him based upon the construction of the building.
"He's moved toward a door in the back of the building." John Henry said. "The roof overhang is blocking him. The drone has repositioned and he's visible again."
Savannah wondered if they'd checked the door previously. She was sure it was.
"Why's he trying to go in there?" Savannah asked. "Does that door go into the building?"
John Henry felt they should have picked the man up with surveillance if that door led inside of the building. He currently viewed the surveillance images of the interior. Nothing had ever changed on them. He needed to look into the details of the building further.
"I'm checking the blue prints now." John Henry said. "No, it doesn't directly enter the building. There's building access from it though. It's through a crawl space filled with the electrical wires. It's the electrical room."
Cammy was previously informed that everything was inspected the night of the battle.
"Everything was checked before the clean up crew left." Cammy said.
Savannah wanted to get into the compound now. She felt they'd been out in the open long enough.
"Are we still good to go?" Savannah asked.
John Henry went over the drone images again. Nothing had changed.
"You're good to go." John Henry said.
Savannah went over the fence first. She was followed by Cammy. They moved over to the containers where Savannah waited during the attack.
Cammy carefully looked around them.
"We're in." Cammy said. "Has the fact that we're here produced any new activity inside or outside of the compound?"
John Henry checked all the drone images again.
"None has been spotted." John Henry said.
Savannah wasn't sure where they should start. She would let Cammy decide.
"Where do you want to go first?" Savannah asked. "We want to see what someone is up to first before we tip our hand."
Cammy thought the immediate threat was the electrical room. She wanted to keep Savannah out of danger.
"You can take the inside of the building. I'll take the electrical room." Cammy said.
Savannah didn't want to separate from Cammy. She was aware the interior of the building was under surveillance. Then again the surveillance hadn't detected anyone inside of the building.
"I want to stay together." Savannah said. "You were inside the building. You know the layout. I don't."
Cammy didn't want to create an issue.
"Then let's check the electrical room first." Cammy said. "I'll lead."
John Henry gave them a reassuring update.
"There are still no changes around you." John Henry said.
Cammy and Savannah headed for the electrical room.
Savannah wondered how someone was still there and bypassed the security.
"This could be a Gray we missed and that's why he looks like a homeless person a week later." Savannah said. "He may have been able to hide in the utility crawlspaces."
Cammy planned to get some answers. She intended to beat the information out of the individual.
"When I apprehend him, I'll soon know everything." Cammy said.
Savannah briefly glanced at Cammy. They needed to do what they needed to do.
Cammy was ready to open the door to the electrical room.
Earlier:
Holly and Gail watched John and Cameron leave the private area. They followed them out. Holly went up the front stairwell behind John and Cameron. Gail moved down the length of the hallway to the second stairway that came up on the other side of the pool. There was a stairway directly across from each of the banks of elevators. There were also crew elevators and stairways within the restricted areas. Nothing would be restricted to them if they needed to use it. Bob could always have a 'talk' with anyone who had a problem about it and indicate they were actually undercover operatives for the cruise line.
Holly wore a large sun hat that obscured her face from all but a direct frontal view. She moved to a table in the corner and sat down so she could view John and Cameron. It appeared she looked out the big windows along the side of the ship. There really wasn't much of a view from those windows because of their current location where they were tied up at the dock.
Gail was on the far side of the pool with a similar hat.
They watched John eat his pizza and burger before he moved into the buffet area. Gail already moved in the buffet area before John and Cameron started over that way.
They wanted to make sure John was secure and that they remained out of the way. They took their function very seriously. it was much more than was necessary for the current location of where John was at.
Earlier:
Sheila and Jim entered the Owner's Suite and remade the room.
They quickly got the room back into order. Jim left to monitor the computers in the spare room in the Master Suite.
Sheila went to the balcony and looked out from the open sliding door. She checked the dock area and everything in her view. Nothing looked out of place. She didn't spot any suspicious looking individuals anywhere.
Sheila went back into the bedroom and stripped off her maid's outfit. She hung it in the corner of the closet with Cameron's things. She left her feather duster on the shelf above it. She looked at the nice clothes that were waiting there for Cameron. She considered trying some on while Cameron was away but didn't. She wasn't really into clothing since it was never a priority for Jesse. She did know that some things looked very nice on Cameron and enhanced her beauty.
There was a full length mirror by the large closet. She paused to look at herself. She adjusted her rings so they were centered. She thought about how Jesse and her were no longer the same. She wondered what it would be like to actually have nursing breasts like Jesse did. It didn't take her long to remember she was a machine and not a human. She wasn't necessarily sure it was a shortcoming but human females did possess certain traits she would never be able to emulate. She shrugged her shoulders and took one more look at herself before she moved away from the mirror. It was what it was.
She left the bedroom and went through the extra room of the Owner's Suite that connected with the extra room in the Master Suite.
Jim looked up at Sheila as she entered the room completely naked.
"Nice day for a walk." Jim said.
Sheila thought it would be a nice day for a walk like that.
"Cameron wanted my outfit." Sheila said.
Sheila looked over all the computer screens too. They were tied into the ship's security feeds and they could see all around the ship.
Jim wasn't exactly sure what Sheila was up to. He thought she should return to her quarters and put on a proper uniform. He doubted she would wear underwear like Cameron stipulated.
Sheila bent down and looked at one monitor next to Jim. He looked over and a breast with a nipple ring was right next to his face. He saved the image. No 'zoom in' was required. He resisted the urge to reach over and touch the ring.
"Maybe you should get dressed." Jim said.
Sheila could see Jim respond to her lack of clothing and closeness to him.
"I'm not bothering you, am I?" Sheila asked.
Jim was very bothered. He offered a different explanation.
"If you're not dressed when Cameron returns, you're going to be washing dishes." Jim said.
Sheila wanted to tease Jim.
"She is such a stiff." Sheila said as she glanced down at Jim. "I can see you are too."
Jim tried to offer some explanation.
"It was an involuntary reaction." Jim said.
Sheila pushed it some more. She was ready for a new adventure. She remembered her earlier encounter with John Henry. She'd been seconds away from mounting him. It didn't happen.
"It looks more like an erection." Sheila said. "Do you want to try that thing out?"
Jim felt Sheila treaded on thin ice.
"I don't wish to be deactivated." Jim said. "I've regained control."
Earlier Sheila was given some leeway by Cameron about 'relations'. She'd hoped for John Henry. She also felt a strong desire for Derek. She didn't want to push Cameron too hard on the first day, at least not until they were out at sea.
Then again, Cameron could pull her chip and throw it overboard. She saw the way Cameron looked at her sheath. She didn't want to make Cameron's 'spare chassis', her chassis.
She took one more look at Jim and could see things weren't going to go anywhere, at least not right now.
Young Allison would just as soon call in a drone strike, especially if it was dark. The darkness always gave her more flexibility. She didn't like the current risk to Cammy and Savannah.
"I'd like it to be nighttime when they did this." Young Allison said. "I'd like to have a drone lower so it could scan the surrounding buildings in case there's another sniper."
Anna noted they hadn't detected anything all week.
"Nothing has shown up in the surveillance that was left to check for that very thing." Anna said.
Young Allison knew it wasn't foolproof.
"Neither did the person they're tracking right now." Young Allison said. "They only showed up because I sent the drones there now in the daylight."
Anna did have to admit that. Young Allison's actions bore fruit again.
"It's true." Anna said.
Young Allison's phone rang. It was Cameron.
She thought she knew what it was going to be about. She wondered maybe if it wasn't time to just go ahead and do it and get it over with. She was going to get 'popped' sooner or later. She wanted to see what Cameron presented first.
"Hello, Cameron." Young Allison said.
Cameron was a little worried about the tone of Young Allison's response. She didn't want to get into a tangled mess. She went straight to the point.
"Hi, I spoke with John and he asked me to invite more of our group to come along for the cruise." Cameron said. "It's something that he really wants to happen. I've checked with him multiple times and he wants to act."
Young Allison was willing to listen if the proposal came from John. She didn't believe Cameron would lie to her about it.
Cameron went over all the things John and her discussed and about switching people out at different ports so they could be on the ship one or two days each.
Young Allison knew of Cameron's ongoing plans with the females. She was aware one of them was her mother. She wondered what it would be like for John to 'pop' her and then be with her mother, either before or after that event occurred. She didn't really want to think about it.
"Savannah and I wanted this trip to be about John and you." Young Allison said.
Cameron addressed the issue with John's wishes.
"I can't speak with Savannah right now." Cameron said. "CamNet informed me she's busy with Cammy currently. There will be no other agenda pursued and we'll have plenty of privacy. John specifically asked me to do this. He was going to contact either one or both of you directly but I told him to go ahead and dish up his food at the buffet. I don't eat so there was no reason I shouldn't take care of it for him. He'll speak to you if necessary."
Young Allison didn't want to make an issue about it if John asked for it. She checked the time. She knew it was several hours before the ship would depart. It was time to set things in motion so no one was put in a bind.
"Who do you want and at which ports?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron gave her a lineup. She wanted to do it now.
"We tender one port and dock at three ports." Cameron said. "We can start now before we leave with one group."
Young Allison was worried about some variables.
"Do you want Derek and Riley to bring Precious along?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron didn't want Precious exposed to a bunch of strangers on the ship. Some of them were bound to have a few communicable diseases. She didn't want to find out the hard way.
"I thought they may like to come with Sarah and Kyle." Cameron said. "Precious should remain protected at the base."
Young Allison could see right away it was going to limit the flexibility of the girls.
"Vanna or Jesse will want to go." Young Allison said. "Will there be enough rooms available?"
Cameron knew that rooms wouldn't be a problem. Everyone would be able to have at least a suite.
"There are other rooms available for either Jesse or Vanna. Claire or Allison may want to go with them." Cameron said.
Young Allison wanted to make sure the younger girls weren't neglected.
"What about Summer and Jan?" Young Allison asked.
"I thought when either Jesse or Vanna went, that your mother could go with them. Allison should be fine with either Jesse or Vanna if they stay to tend to Precious."
Cameron's statement made Young Allison think about Young Jesse.
"When is Young Jesse coming back to visit Savannah?" Young Allison asked.
The question caught Cameron off guard, especially coming from Young Allison.
"I don't know." Cameron said.
"Could she be back to the USA and in a port if Savannah goes with you?" Young Allison asked.
There was a long pause.
"Yes." Cameron said. "I wanted you to go when Savannah did."
Young Allison fully understood what Cameron implied. This trip wasn't about her. She wanted Savannah to have a better time.
"I want Savannah and Young Jesse to share and spend some time together." Young Allison said. "Savannah deserves some special comfort and love. I know Savannah misses Young Jesse very much. Savannah and I will have plenty of time to share with each other in the future."
Cameron wondered how hard it was for Young Allison to say those things. She wanted to know. She needed to ask.
"Is that what you really want?" Cameron asked.
Young Allison knew true love was about sacrifice.
"You're not the only one who's willing to sacrifice for the ones they love." Young Allison said. "I'd like it to be a surprise for Savannah. I don't want her to know I was involved in any way. I don't even know if Savannah will agree to go. All I can tell you is I won't be on the ship for this current voyage."
Cameron could see Young Allison was even more advanced than she'd thought.
"You're truly a loving person." Cameron said.
Young Allison wanted to run things by Savannah.
"You are too." Young Allison said. "Let me speak with Savannah first about this."
Cameron wanted it done soon.
"I'll need to give notice for someone to get ready." Cameron said. "Time is now a factor."
Young Allison hoped to pair Young Jesse with Savannah if things worked out.
"Savannah needs to agree first." Young Allison said. "You have my vote. If this is what John wants and asked for, we should respect his wishes."
They ended the call.
Young Allison looked over at Anna.
"I take it you heard everything." Young Allison said.
Anna didn't think the phone call was too personal in nature. If it had been, she would have turned down her audio input.
"I did." Anna said.
Anna wanted to ask about Young Jesse.
She really didn't know how to phrase the question.
Anna looked away from Young Allison.
Young Allison watched Anna's response and could tell that she was troubled. She had a pretty good idea about what it was.
"I know you want to ask me about Young Jesse." Young Allison said.
Anna wasn't always sure about the human thought process. It seemed very chaotic and confusing at times.
"I do." Anna said.
Young Allison thought about Savannah's many sexual partners and the frequency that they all shared. She didn't want to think about her mother as part of the mix but she knew that she was.
"I know Savannah loves Young Jesse." Young Allison said. "I want Savannah to have a good time too. They've shared with each other before. Young Jesse is the one that Savannah is able to share with the least."
Anna was aware how possessive humans could be at times. She didn't think Young Allison was an exception about some of those times.
"What about you?" Anna asked.
Young Allison let out a slow breath. It was what it was.
"Everyone sacrifices for the future." Young Allison said. "My day will come."
Anna was sure that it would. It would probably be a lot sooner than anyone thought. She wasn't even sure Young Allison needed a temporal mission to the Past any longer. She was clearly old enough for everything. It really made her wonder about the events that occurred in the Nevada desert. She didn't believe that whoever Sheila and Cammy encountered in the past was this version of Young Allison. That's why it was so hard to put it all together.
None Has Been Spotted
When one looks ahead
Of what do they dream
Is anything in life ever
As good as it may seem
The dreams slowly wither
They end up on the rocks
Does either one ever listen
When the other one talks
The words that are uttered
Fall on deaf ears
They soon add up
They usher in the tears
Each still reaches out
Is the direction even the same
Are they only caught up
In life's cruel game
Are there any hearts left
That haven't rotted
The search is fruitless
None has been spotted
Nobody
