Kai looked to Lloyd as he sat down in the audience.
"Master of Destruction versus Master of Poison! Fight!" Called Chen from his throne.
Lloyd smiled and circled Tox, swishing his tail with impatience. She followed, keeping her guard up.
"Master of Destruction? Please, you hardly do anything, I doubt you'd be any threat to me."
"Don't worry, I'll be doing much more when I actually need to put some effort into this little fights. But until then, fighting you will be a fun distraction." They were getting closer to each other, and the blade.
"What are they doing?" Asked Kai, turning to Sensei Garmadon. "What's he doing?"
"Lloyd is getting her closer, making her angry. Once that happens, then he'll start attacking. Every single fight he chooses not to use his elemental power but to embarrass his opponents and make himself seem more powerful."
"It's the fight that fulls him."
Kai walked into the arena, putting a hand to his forehead to block the Sun.
"Master of Destruction versus the Green ninja, fight!" Kai looked around. Where was Lloyd? He felt a sharp pain in his back before being knocked to the floor. Kai got up quickly and started running towards the Jade Blade. He didn't need to fight Lloyd, he only needed to get the blade.
"Move aside greenie!" Screamed Lloyd, tackling him to the ground. "What the hell does my father see in you to make him abandon me? You're useless! Just another little coloured spec in a sea of darkness!"
"You're wrong! We've brought peace to Ninjago! And you aren't going to take that away!" Kai pushed Lloyd over, and scrambled to the top of the stone pillar the Blade was standing on.
"No!" He hissed, grabbing Kai and flinging him onto the ground. He climbed to the top and reached to grab the blade.
"So you're not gonna use your elemental powers? You coward!" Kai shouted. Lloyd turned around slowly, his eyes shining a deep purple. "C'mon, are you scared?"
Lloyd lunged to Kai, who moved out the way just in time.
"Take that back!" Hissed Lloyd.
"No." Said Kai, grinning. Lloyd screamed before punching him in the face. Kai stumbled back in shock before trying to hit Lloyd.
Chen watched from his throne in delight, jumping up and down as popcorn spilled from his lap.
"Master," Croaked Clouse, "if they continue fighting then we won't have a winner. We need to stop this fight and reconsider who to put out there."
"O-oh, do we have to Clouse? I like it when they fight!"
"Master, i recommend that you don't continue. This little rabble could ruin the tournament, not to mention your plan."
"Argh, fine." Groaned Chen, clicking a button on his chair.
"No winner! Both loose!" He mumbled sadly.
"What, no!" Kai protested angrily. "I'm not done with him!"
"Same here." Growled Lloyd clawing Kai in the face.
"What if you postpone the fight, then maybe the two sides could plan a way to win?" Suggested Garmadon.
"That sounds good!" Beamed Chen. "You two will relax for now! But tomorrow you will fight again!"
Lloyd ran across the rubble, his small legs aching.
"Dad!" He screamed. "Dad where are you?!" He started lifting up rubble, cutting his hands on the rocks. He jumped as the pile next to him moved, and he sat in silence as a single tear ran down his face.
He looked to his hands, bloody and sore, and started whispering to himself. A tall grey haired man came out of the pile, his face resembling that of his father's.
"Lloyd, it's me." Said the man. Lloyd jumped to his feet and wiped the tears from his face. Garmadon put his hand out, reaching for Lloyd.
"You're not my father." He whispered, turning around and running away.
Lloyd watched from a distance as his father slowly walked to the ninja, the evil side purified.
"Brother?" He whispered, walking to Wu and Misako. "Where am I? What happened?"
"Garmadon!" Misako yelled, falling into his arms.
Lloyd don't hear what they were they were saying. He grabbed the wall to suspend himself. That man wasn't his father, there was just no way.
"Thank you Kai." Garmadon said, putting a a hand on Kai's shoulder. "You saved me."
Lloyd started shaking, tears falling down his face. He screamed in pain before realising that he would never get his father back. He took his hand off the wall, leaving a purple imprint. He looked to it, and made a new plan. Maybe his father would never rule the world. But that didn't mean Lloyd couldn't. His father forgot what made their bloodline special. Lloyd remembered when his father told him.
"We're not human. We're better."
His father could run from the truth, from the path they were supposed to follow, but Lloyd won't. He could make his father see that, one day. He wouldn't be known as the Shadow Prince. He was going to be the King.
Garmadon sat next to his wife, cradling a hot chocolate in his hand.
"Has there been any sign of Lloyd?" He asked, looking up at Zane.
"No. He has not been spotted since the final battle."
"He's still out there, don't worry." Said Misako, grabbing Garmadon's hand. "Did he say anything to you before he ran off?"
"…yes. He said I wasn't his father."
Misako gasped and stared at the floor.
"I'm so sorry." Says Kai sadly, staring at the snow falling slowly outside.
"It's not your fault. We'll find him brother. Don't worry." Replies Wu, sitting down next to him. But Garmadon did worry. What if Lloyd was in serious danger? What if Lloyd never wanted to see him again?
The elemental masters sat down, and Chen stared at them with joy.
"Wait a minute, where is the other one?" Chen asked, looking around frantically.
"The guards had some, trouble finding him. He should be here soon master."
"Oh well. Ceremony begins!" The doors opened with a loud bang and a person was thrown out, before he put up and quickly raced to the door.
"Not happening! I never wanted to be here! Didn't say yes to your stupid invitation remember!!!" He hissed, pounding on the door.
"Lloyd…" whisper Sensei Garmadon, staring at his son. Lloyd's hair was dirty and he had heavy bags under his pale purple eyes. He was wearing a dark grey hoodie with ripped jeans, and black combat boots. Lloyd also had two long obsidian purple horns pointing out his forehead, as well as a matching tail. His tail dragged along the floor like a wet paper towel, and he looked utterly miserable.
"Let me out!" Lloyd screaming before two guards pointed their weapons at him and started walking towards him menacingly. He put up his hands. "Damn, did I mention how amazing you guys were pinning me and all? How about we call it a draw and I go sit down over there. Cool? Cool!" He laughed nervously, sitting down at the end of the ring.
"Ah, welcome Master of Destruction to the tournament of elements!"
"Aw, you thought I was just a lazy guy didn't you? Thought I couldn't get my hands dirty?"
Lloyd watched as one of Chen's helicopter went up in a Smokey purple flame, crashing onto the ground and exploding. He smiled wickedly. "Is this what you wanted?"
"No." Garmadon sat in a pile of chains, miserably staring at the floor.
"The old Garmadon would have loved this. He would of loved me."
"I still love you Lloyd! No matter what you do to me you'll always be my son. Whether you like it or not this is how I am now. You can go off and burn Ninjago to ashes but I'll still love you!" Garmadon protested, tears gathering in his eyes. "When I first laid eyes on you I knew that I had to protect you, which meant keeping as far away as possible. I never wanted to hurt you, even then! Please Lloyd, just come home." Lloyd sat silently for a moment before flicking his tail in disgust.
"Are you finished yet?" He asked, tilting his head. "Aw, good." He wanted walked over to the control panel behind him. "Commence Operation Shadowheart." He said through his earpiece, clicking a button on the controls. "Sending coordinates now."
"Roger that, sending chopper now."
"A helicopter? You're leaving?" Asked Garmadon.
"Duh, I've rigged this whole place with bombs stupid."
"What?! You'll explode everything!"
"That's the plan dumbass. Once the island is destroyed then I'll have a cute little cover up story, go back to Ninjago, and tell everyone about it."
"But why?!"
"Oh don't be such a fool!" Lloyd growled. "Once that happens then I'll be the hero, the one everyone trusts. They'd never suspect me, I've already been through so much pain."
"And why would you need their trust?"
"Oh you'll see. Through new eyes." Lloyd laughed.
