Chapter 1162
That's Confusing
Savannah and Cam were in the SUV with Cammy, she was the driver. They waited for something to develop. It appeared something might have.
Cammy's team received information from John Henry on a possible target. It looked like things might pick up. It was clear there was another player on the field. It seemed they were also a high value target compared to the two homeless men.
"John Henry is about to direct us to what might be the person who made the call." Cammy said. "There's a drone on them right now."
Savannah wanted a target like the rest of them. She just wanted to make sure it was the right target. Since the drone arrived after the caller departed. They didn't have a positive ID.
"It could still be someone else." Savannah said. "He needs to review all the surveillance footage around there. It could be anything from a drug dealer to a junkie. There might be more than one individual involved. It's possible they're headed to a vehicle."
Cam wanted to act. It was the 'Cameron' in her. She wanted a little more information. She knew how to get it.
"We need to get there so we can put the grab on them if they look like they need some interrogation." Cam said. "If they do, they've come to the right place."
Cammy considered Savannah's earlier assessment. Everything was still guesswork and supposition.
"We don't know what we have." Cammy said.
Cam wanted to find out. The sooner she could start an interrogation, the quicker they could obtain answers.
"That's why we need to apprehend them." Cam said.
Savannah still wanted to use some caution. Even though they knew more than they previously did, they still didn't know anything.
"This may turn out to be something bigger than we think." Savannah said. "It could also be nothing."
The last thing they wanted to do was get suckered into an ambush. More than likely whatever was in play was from one of the two groups that were at the port facility. It could possibly be a third group that may have avoided contact during the operation. They always felt there was more going on at the port facility when they arrived than they actually were able to prove.
They hadn't been able to prove a whole lot that night, other than the fact they'd killed a lot of enemy combatants.
Cameron and Sarah headed down the stairway to their suites. They talked along the way.
Any animosity between them was long gone. They were quite comfortable with each other.
Sarah was very pleased with the cruise so far. Maybe it was the ship and the atmosphere. Maybe it was just being able to get away from it all.
"I have to admit, this is all really exciting for me, Cameron." Sarah said. "I haven't done anything like this since before John was born."
It left the unspoken truth about all that'd happened since then. It was everything dealing with Skynet and Terminators. It was all about protecting John. It came down to trying to save the world and mankind. Being locked up in the mental institution didn't help any.
Sarah was more than aware that Cameron was responsible for keeping John alive. It had happened both directly and indirectly multiple times. There were times when she didn't like when Cameron sidelined John and used Terminators or even herself to accomplish some of the tasks. She realized the more anyone said anything about it, including John, the more Cameron did on her own and didn't involve any of the others. There was a cost involved with it. It was a horrific toll Cameron paid. She sustained multiple and excessive damage numerous times. She didn't think Cameron did it to make a point to show everyone what would have happened to John or the others. She believed Cameron did it so no one else would need to face the danger. Cameron took the responsibility to defeat Skynet upon herself and paid the price for it.
Cameron felt the cruise would be a good experience for everyone. It was something new and different. As long as they were on the ship, it seemed things would be relatively secure. She hoped that's how it would be anyway. It would give her a great peace of mind not to need to worry about John safety as much as she normally did.
"I wanted everyone to give it a try." Cameron said. "We all have plenty of privacy and anyone can do what they want. They don't even need to do anything."
Cameron didn't think anyone would stay in their suite and do room service for several days. The very atmosphere of the ship called out to everyone, including her, to do and see more. The cruise was more than a trip. It was an experience.
She'd read some of the blogs online. Many of the people indicated it wasn't so much where the ship actually went. It didn't matter if it was in the Caribbean, the Mediterranean or in Asia. The ports were all secondary. Not much time was spent in any of them. It was being on the ship itself that was the real adventure.
Sarah was really glad for the change of pace. She wondered maybe if they should have brought Jan along. She already missed her. She'd seen numerous other children of all ages on the ship. They were everything from infants to teenagers. She needed to do a couple of double takes on some of the teenagers she'd seen on board. Some of them wore some pretty skimpy outfits and showed a lot of skin. Maybe she was a little too harsh on Cameron about the way that she'd dressed Savannah and now Young Allison. Maybe she'd spent a little too much time in isolation.
Ever since they'd moved to the Resistance base, she really limited her exposure to the outside world. The outside world hadn't been very kind to her since John was born. The outside world always found a way to find her and John. She knew Cameron protected both of them. Cameron directed any future Skynet attacks towards herself and away from them. She didn't want to worry about those issues now. Now was a time for her to unwind a little bit. It wasn't as hard as she thought it would be.
"It's a big change from our daily routine." Sarah said.
They went down the stairs and exited on their deck.
Cameron wanted to help everyone relax a little.
"I want everyone to have a good time." Cameron said.
Sarah saw the large suites were all in the private area. There were many other rooms along the halls. She was sure Cameron or CamNet would have extra rooms available.
"Do you have other rooms?" Sarah asked. "I guess they call them cabins or suites."
Cameron was informed by CamNet there were other smaller standard suites available. They each contained a second bedroom as well. A standard sweet was very large compared to a cabin. The three giant suites all contained a standard suite as their smaller room.
"I do." Cameron said. "There are several that are available. They are smaller."
Sarah liked the suites in the private area. It gave her a better sense of security.
"I'll have Kyle talk to Derek." Sarah said.
Cameron tilted her head slightly. She wondered if there was some problem she was unaware of. She quickly went over everything she was aware of. She hadn't detected a note of discord. The only thing that she noted was a little apprehension about Derek and Kyle needing to dress up. Maybe she would need to make sure it was entirely optional again. She wanted to find out more.
"What will you have Kyle talk to Derek about?" Cameron asked.
Sarah felt one suite was large enough to share with two couples and still have plenty of privacy. It would free up one of the other large suites in the private area for more of their team to come aboard.
"We can double up with the spare bedroom in one of our suites. They're like a regular suite anyway." Sarah said. "Then someone else can come onboard a day earlier. They can get on tomorrow at the next port."
Cameron wanted them to enjoy all the room. She also wanted more of the group to join them. She didn't want to inconvenience anyone. She wanted to see who else she could get it to come on board. Maybe it was worth the gamble. She wanted John to have the best honeymoon ever. She knew there were several ways to accomplish it. She would need to think about it.
"I don't know about doubling up." Cameron said. "Maybe I'll use the regular suites that are available and do that."
Sarah didn't think she would have a problem influencing Kyle. There was more than one way to motivate him to see things her way. She didn't think any of them would be necessary in this case. She was sure Kyle would want to share as well.
"I'll discuss it with Kyle tonight." Sarah said. "I can be very persuasive."
Cameron learned how to play the game too. It seemed there were a few things that were more motivational than others. It was amazing how a few small sections of her sheath could have so much influence. Maybe it was more than influence. Maybe it was power.
"We all know how to play 'that' card." Cameron said.
Cameron and Sarah looked at each other and both of them started to giggle as they neared the private area.
Jim opened the door to the private area for them as they approached.
Sarah wondered if Jim waited for them or watched them on the security feeds.
"Is he going to do that every time?" Sarah asked.
Cameron didn't think so. It was just chance. She hadn't issued any instructions to that effect.
"No." Cameron said. "Only if they're out of the Control Center or finished with our rooms."
Ally looked out the door of the Control Center as they entered the private area.
Cameron wanted Ally to assist Sarah while she got dressed.
"Ally, can you help Sarah until I'm ready?" Cameron asked. "Is that OK with you Sarah?"
Sarah wanted all the help she could get. She needed to use the restroom first.
"That's fine." Sarah said. "Give me a few minutes. I need to make a pit stop."
Sheila exited Derek and Riley's room.
"I can help Sarah." Sheila said.
Cameron didn't think it was a good idea. She was worried Sheila might offend Sarah. She might make a rude comment or do something vulgar in front of her. She was worried most of all Sheila might get a little 'touchy'. She meant it in a literal sense. She actually didn't think Sarah would mind if another female touched her. She was pretty sure Sarah would rather have it be a human female though.
"You can help Holly and Riley." Cameron said. "They'll be here in about three minutes."
Sheila caught Cameron's drift. Riley would be a little more open to being naked around a Metal girl.
"I sure will." Sheila said.
Sheila had really hoped to watch Sarah undress and dress. Riley would work too. She was curious what pregnancy did to the female body. Her observations were that it was 'nothing to write home about'. She had some files from Jesse that involved Riley through the 'Neural Interface'. She might actually open some of them so she could make the comparison. There were other ways she would actually like to check as well. They'd be a little more involved and would need to be done in a different setting.
Cameron could see that Sheila already started to contemplate a number of scenarios that might play out. She wanted to put the brakes on things before they got carried away.
"I'll be over in about eight minutes." Cameron said. "It won't take me long."
Sarah was amazed that Cameron would be ready that quickly.
"I won't need Ally then." Sarah said. "I still need to take care of business first."
Cameron wasn't sure if Sarah didn't want Ally to assist her. She didn't want to push the issue. She figured Sarah just wanted to be alone while she attended to her personal business.
"Ally, go back to what you were doing, please." Cameron said.
Ally was disappointed. She didn't want it to show. She wanted to see Sarah naked too.
"You got it." Ally said.
Ally went back into the Control Center.
Sarah went into her suite. She turned the deadbolt and let it rest against the door frame. It was to keep the door from closing and locking on its own. She didn't know Cameron's card key could open any lock on the ship, including the bridge or the Captain's quarters.
Sheila watched Cameron walk away and head towards her suite. She looked at the door that Sarah left ajar. She seriously contemplated going there and slipping inside. Maybe she couldn't get to help Sarah change her clothes but she might be able to sneak a peek of her anyway. She glanced over at Cameron before she entered her suite. Cameron turned her head and looked back at her. She decided to head elsewhere.
Cameron entered her suite and stripped naked. She put on a red dress that was identical to her black dress and pair of matching high heels. Those were the only things she wore. She didn't wear any underwear. She certainly didn't want any panty lines.
She took out a necklace and put it on. She then took out two more and some matching earrings. She figured Sheila hadn't gone very far. She went to her suite door and called Sheila over. She wanted to give her something that might be a mild thrill to her.
"Please give this to Holly when she walks by." Cameron said. "It's for Riley. I want to surprise her. You can give it to her yourself if you want. Wait until she's dressed before you do. I think it will go over much better that way."
Cameron handed Sheila a necklace and earrings.
Sheila looked at the jewelry. She thought she could offer Riley a few suggestions on other types of jewelry and where it could best be placed for maximum effect. She quickly refocused and waited for Holly and Riley to arrive.
Cameron returned back inside her suite and touched up her makeup. She applied new lipstick and fixed her hair the way she wanted it for the dress. She checked her necklace. She looked at herself in the full length mirror and smiled. She wasn't sure if she smiled at the way she looked now and how she was currently dressed or if she smiled because she wasn't naked and thought she'd already dressed. She still found it a little hard to believe she was going to go out naked for the lifeboat drill earlier. John was right that no one would have remembered her face. No one would have looked at it.
She glanced towards the Control Center in the spare room of the Owner's Suite. She didn't think there were any problems yet. She decided not to go there. She left her suite and headed for the Master Suite. She wanted to help Sarah look Hot and Tight for Kyle.
Earlier:
Kyle followed John down one floor to the buffet area. He wasn't really sure it was a good idea to eat food before his meal in the main dining room in just under an hour. He paused for a moment when he took in the layout of food as they reached the buffet area. He was impressed with what he saw. It wasn't just the fact there was a lot of it. It was the way that everything looked. Everything looked fancy and exotic. It was definitely a much higher grade of dining than any other buffet he'd been to.
"Wow! Look at all that food." Kyle said.
Kyle's statement made John smile. It was pretty much the same assessment he'd made when he first looked at everything.
"Tell me about it." John said. "There is another side with food that's identical to this."
Kyle tried to picture what John said. He thought what he looked at was impressive. It was hard to believe there was another side just like it.
"Really?" Kyle asked.
John checked it out earlier at lunchtime but didn't take anything from the other side. He knew they were headed to the main dining room for lunch in just a few minutes at that time.
"Really." John said.
John grabbed two plates and handed one to Kyle.
Kyle looked at the line up of food.
"Is this always like this?" Kyle asked.
John I wasn't exactly sure what changed from day to day. He did know there were three distinct setups. The one that seemed to impress people the least was the breakfast set up.
"It changes for breakfast, lunch and dinner." John said. "Here, just try a little bit of a few things. Let me tell you now not to overdo it. In order to do justice to the buffet, you need to make two trips or have two plates for yourself. Remember this is just a taste because our main meal will be coming up in less than an hour. Think of it as a light appetizer. If our real dinner is anything like lunch, and I'm sure it is, you'll be even more impressed."
Kyle wondered how it would be possible. It was a long way from the garbage piles of his youth. He spotted Derek.
"Here comes Derek." Kyle said.
Derek followed Hanna inside the buffet area.
Once Derek saw John and Kyle, Hanna went back outside.
John wanted Derek to try some things out but cautioned him like he did Kyle to use moderation since dinner was nearing.
"Grab a plate but just take a few small portions." John said. "Remember it's dinner time soon."
Derek looked around at all the food. He was as impressed as Kyle had been. The thing that caught his attention right away was the food itself, not the quantity.
"This is a nice place." Derek said. "There's a lot of food here. It's quality food too."
John wanted them to see the splendor of where they were headed next.
"Wait until you see where we'll be in less than an hour in the main dining room." John said.
It sounded fancy to Derek.
"Is it even more luxurious than this setup?" Derek asked.
John thought they were more like two totally different worlds.
"It's much more elegant and refined in its own way." John said.
Derek wasn't exactly sure what it meant but somehow it seemed even better than where they currently were .
"I can hardly wait." Derek said.
Kyle wanted to see it as well.
"Me too." Kyle said.
Once they'd grabbed a few things each, they looked around for a table. Most of them were already taken or they would have to sit with strangers.
Kyle was a little surprised at who he spotted sitting at a table.
"There's Gail." Kyle said.
Gail sat at a table by the window.
They saw a couple approach her and ask if they could sit with her. She told them there were others in her party that would arrive soon.
John thought that was a more diplomatic approach than a hard 'no' from a Terminator. He liked the tact she used.
When they approached her, she waited until they were at the table and then got up to leave.
"May we join you?" John asked.
Gail smiled at the three of them.
"I was just leaving." Gail said and departed.
John felt a little guilty. He didn't want it to seem like they chased her away.
"You can stay if you want." John said.
Gail looked back and smiled but kept going.
Kyle watched Gail walk away and then looked out the window.
"That's a nice view." Kyle said.
John hoped Kyle referred to the view out the window and not Gail. He thought that Gail was always a nice view. She definitely had a set of 'jugs' that just wouldn't quit. She looked really pretty when she smiled. He hoped to keep things civil.
Derek watched Gail walk away as well. He also looked out the window. He thought it would be a really nice place to have a meal. John just indicated to Kyle that where they were actually headed for dinner was even nicer. The thing that pleased him the most about the cruise so far was how thrilled Riley seemed to be about it. He knew she didn't get out much. He thought it was his fault.
"Everything about the ship is nice." Derek said. "Riley really likes it."
Kyle could see Sarah was enamored as well.
"So does Sarah." Kyle said. "I think it's safe to say it's a big switch for all of us."
John liked it too. It was why he wanted his family to come and share it with Cameron and him. He knew Savannah and Young Allison wanted him to be alone with Cameron on the ship. He thought there'd be plenty of time for them to be able to do that. He also didn't want to lose the opportunity to share with his family and friends.
"It is a little different from what's 'normal'." John said. "At least what's normal for us."
Derek wondered about it. He was from the future. He didn't wish a Skynet future on anyone. He also wasn't sure about the present.
"I don't even know what normal is anymore." Derek said.
Kyle didn't know either. He did know where they were at was very nice.
"I know I like this." Kyle said.
Kyle waved his hand around the interior of the buffet to indicate what he meant.
Derek and Kyle were pleased with the food they'd selected. They each picked different things to share so they could try a bigger selection of food without overdoing it. They told John how good everything was.
John looked up at the clock. John didn't want to run out of time. He was aware how punctual Cameron was all of the time. He knew it was a Terminator thing. He knew sometimes he was a little more relaxed than he should be. He didn't want to be that way on the ship.
"We need to finish up soon and head back to get dressed." John said. "We don't want to be seen as the slow pokes."
Derek was still concerned about the dress code. He wasn't really sure why. He figured it was because it was something different than normal. He wanted to make sure none of them were going to wear something fancy.
"You're all just wearing casual clothes, right?" Derek asked.
John wanted to keep it simple. Cameron already told them there were certain days where dress up would be required. Tonight wasn't one of them.
"I am." John said. "Cameron assured me nothing will be a problem for our group. We can wear our suits tomorrow if we want. It is semi formal tomorrow night but casual will do for our group."
Derek looked down at his attire. He wasn't comfortable dressing up.
"I don't know." Derek said. "Suits and me don't get along."
Kyle wanted to step it up a little. He didn't think it was necessarily about them that they needed to do it. He thought it was about who they were on the ship with. It was a rare opportunity for them to be able to dress up at all. It certainly was the correct place to do it.
"I can tell you that Riley would like it." Kyle said. "At least for one time she would like to see it. I want to do it for Sarah."
It was pretty much what Cameron mentioned to John earlier.
"Cameron said that too." John said. "She said Riley and Sarah would like to wear a nice dress and see the ones they love in a suit for an evening. When else will we have an opportunity like this?"
Kyle figured the motivation was already there based upon what he saw in the closet.
"I'll do it tomorrow." Kyle said. "There were two dresses for Sarah."
Derek thought of how cute and seductive Sheila looked in a maid's outfit.
"Here I thought you were going to say you wanted to see Sarah in a maid's outfit." Derek said. "I think she would do it justice."
John started to drink some water, he coughed and choked a little on it when he heard the statement. He was glad he didn't spray it across the table. It was his mother they were talking about after all. He could actually picture his mother wearing the maid's outfit Sheila had on earlier. He'd seen her in plenty of skimpy looking waitress outfits over the years. Some of those had a pretty short skirt as well. He remembered his mother told him that normally the shorter her skirt was and the looser her top was, the bigger her tips were. Those were the days when they needed to rely upon themselves for money and to survive on their own. He was sure there were times that his mother may have done a little 'more' with a customer after hours when they needed something they couldn't afford. Mainly it would be something for him for school or for the procurement of weapons to help protect him. His mother always looked out for him and did whatever she needed to do to make sure he was as safe as possible. Those things were no longer a worry thanks to Cameron.
Kyle actually liked Derek's suggestion about Sarah and the maid's uniform.
"I'd actually like to see Sarah in the maid's outfit." Kyle said. "Sheila looked really cute and Hot in hers."
John coughed some more.
"Are you OK?' Derek asked.
John couldn't help but think about Cameron wearing the maid's outfit earlier. Now the image was in his head of his mother wearing it.
"I'm good." John said.
John took another sip of water.
"Riley would look hot in one of those maid's outfits too." Derek said.
John coughed again.
John really would like to see Riley in the maid's outfit. He wasn't going to comment on it out loud. He wondered what they would have thought of the modified maid's outfit that Sheila wore earlier in the day. It excited him even now to think about it. Cameron looked good in it too.
Earlier:
Jim notified Holly where Kyle and John were at. She decided it was a good place to deposit Derek before she returned to the Honeymoon Suite with Riley. Hanna met them halfway to the buffet and escorted Derek the rest of the way.
Holly led Riley to her suite. Sheila was already there.
"We're both going to fix you up." Sheila said.
Riley was more than a little excited there were two Metal girls there to assist her. She really wanted to be with a female again. She thought it was probably as close as she was going to get. She stripped off her clothes down to her underwear. She looked at the dresses in her closet.
"Which one should I wear?" Riley asked.
Sheila checked Riley out. She noticed some stretch marks and a little flab on her belly. She was aware it was a necessary side effect to carry Precious. The stretch marks were most likely permanent but the flab should go away soon enough with the right diet and exercise. She would mention it to Cameron and offer to be Riley's personal training coach. It would give her an excuse to touch almost every part of Riley to check for muscle tone and improvement as the workouts began.
Riley noticed Sheila look at her. She touched her belly.
"I'm sorry. I'm not much to look at." Riley said.
Sheila saw it as something superior to her chassis.
"I think it's beautiful that you can create a life." Sheila said. "Your body did that. Mine can't. You have to know how special it is."
Riley knew that Cameron was responsible for her baby. She did feel very lucky and blessed.
"I guess I am pretty lucky about it." Riley said.
Holly looked at Riley's body. She didn't see anything wrong with it. She understood what it represented. She couldn't help but think about Allison. Previously Allison never got far enough along to even show on her earlier attempts to get pregnant.
"I think it's wonderful too. You're beautiful." Holly said. "I hope Allison can look like that…."
Riley was struck with the honesty of Holly to be able to see the beauty in the sacrifice of a tight female body in order to create a life. It also showed how much Holly loved Allison. She took in Holly's beauty and thought Allison was really blessed.
Vanna held her phone. She debated what to do. She went and checked on Precious again. She was still asleep.
Her phone rang.
"Hello." Vanna said.
It pleased her greatly to see who it was.
"Hi." Allison said.
She'd debated for quite some time whether to call Allison or not. Now the problem was solved.
"I was just about to call you." Vanna said.
Allison was actually a little worried about Vanna.
"I wanted to see if you needed any company." Allison said. "I know you wanted to do everything yourself."
Vanna wanted Allison to come by very much.
"No. I mean, yes." Vanna said.
Allison wasn't exactly sure what Vanna wanted.
"That's confusing." Allison said.
Vanna really wanted to see someone. She wanted it to be Allison.
"I'd love to see you." Vanna said.
Allison could hear the anticipation in Vanna's voice.
"That's not confusing." Allison said. "I'm headed there now."
Vanna was afraid she was going to go stir crazy earlier. Now it seemed all of her problems were solved. Well, at least the immediate ones.
"Thank you." Vanna said.
Vanna smiled. She wanted company. She wanted Allison.
Samantha came out of standby when Vanna's phone rang. It was Allison calling Vanna.
Samantha listened to the call Vanna received from Allison. Maybe they would want to be alone and they would ask her to watch over Precious. She hoped so anyway. She really wanted to see Precious. She missed her.
She decided she would go back into standby and wait for them to ask her.
Claire was headed to see John Henry. She wanted to check on Summer and see where she was at.
Jan followed her.
Claire wondered if Summer got into any trouble that she didn't know about.
"Summer doesn't get into any mischief when she's with you, does she?" Claire asked.
Jan told her the truth.
"No. Summer is perfect." Jan said. "I may do some things I shouldn't. She never does."
Claire thought Jan was well behaved and a pleasure to work with.
"You behave very pleasantly around me." Claire said.
Jan was aware her parents kept a watchful eye over her. She didn't want to disappoint them nor did she want to feel their wrath.
"Thank you." Jan said.
They were almost to the Command Center.
John Henry was impressed with Summer.
"It was a good spot earlier." John Henry said.
The image just seemed obvious to Summer.
"I noticed he was doing things differently than all the other people." Summer said.
John Henry hadn't picked up on it.
"It's always good to say something if you see something." John Henry said.
Summer thought now was a pretty good time to do that.
"Mom and Jan are coming." Summer said. "I'd better go."
Summer knew her mother didn't like for her to do Resistance things.
John Henry wanted her to stay.
"You're allowed to be here." John Henry said.
Summer knew she could always say she used some of the monitors to assist in her studies if she needed to. She figured it was better to avoid any issues at this time.
"I still better go." Summer said. "Thank you for allowing me to stay."
Summer hurriedly left the Command Center. John Henry wasn't sure why. She seemed to be afraid to let her mother see her assisting him. He didn't see why it should be a problem since her sister always did the same thing….
Summer quickly went into the commissary right before Claire and Jan passed by. She opened the refrigerator.
"Hi, Mom." Summer said. "Hi, Jan."
Claire was glad to find Summer there.
"Oh, there you are." Claire said.
Summer looked in the refrigerator.
"I was just checking to see what I could make everyone for dinner tonight." Summer said.
It sounded like fun to Jan.
"I want to help." Jan said. "I like to cook. I'm really learning how to do that now. I mean really make things."
Claire would make a point to teach Jan more.
"You'll learn new things all of your life." Claire said.
Claire didn't mention that not all of them were good.
"Let's see what we can come up with." Claire said.
Summer offered a few ideas.
"This is what I planned…." Summer said.
Summer laid out a meal plan for everyone. She'd only looked in the refrigerator for ten seconds and decided what to make with what was available.
"There aren't too many people here right now." Jan said. "We don't need to make a lot."
Summer wanted to look after the others anyway.
"We still have Allison, Vanna and Jesse." Summer said.
Claire was sure they all eaten plenty. They would probably be hungry for some food now.
Jesse went to look for Claire. She wasn't in her room or in any of the training or instruction areas. She checked the time, it was near dinnertime. Maybe Claire was in the commissary.
She headed in that direction. She could use a bite to eat. Dinner would be a surprise. What wouldn't be a surprise was what would be for dessert….
Bob was in ten places at once. There were many things he needed to check and follow up on. He was in communication with CamNet but hadn't been able to see any of the Resistance members since they'd boarded. He was sure Cameron would look him up once everyone was asleep. If not, he knew where they were and about the ship's Control Center. He would visit it.
CamNet would mask any of his movement from being recorded as he moved around the ship. He'd checked the cargo that was loaded and nothing seemed amiss. He would be sure to see if anything was loaded in Ensenada. That would be the most likely attempt for anyone to smuggle something on board.
Young Allison was a little antsy. It was unusual for her.
"So far we have a bunch of nothing." Young Allison said.
Anna didn't think much was 'cut and dried' in what they did.
"It's like that sometimes." Anna said.
Young Allison wanted to know more. Right now they didn't know enough
"I still want to know what the call was about." Young Allison said.
Anna didn't think it was going to be a problem.
"John Henry is searching for the call." Anna said.
Young Allison nodded.
"He'll find it." Young Allison said.
Anna needed to mention things might need to turn ugly.
"What do you want to do if it turns out any of these people are Grays?" Anna asked.
Young Allison responded immediately. She wasn't bothered about what needed to be done.
"We'll do the same thing that happens to all Grays." Young Allison said. "They made the choice to blow up the world, not us. We'll stop them."
Young Allison was aware they could turn out to be from the Syndicate as well. If they were, she planned to make an example of them. The Syndicate didn't sit well with her.
Anna wanted to know how much Young Allison was willing to share.
"Do you want to work with John Henry on that aspect?" Anna asked.
Young Allison thought that was a good idea. She was concerned about some of the blow-back if anyone questioned her decisions.
"I think we should." Young Allison said. "I don't want John to be uptight about me ordering any terminations."
Anna wasn't sure why it would be a problem.
"You have before." Anna said.
Young Allison wasn't sure how many deaths she was responsible for, even if most of them were indirectly
"I guess I have." Young Allison said.
Anna wanted to know what Young Allison's feelings were on the matter.
"Does that ever bother you?" Anna asked.
Young Allison looked at Anna and tilted her head slightly.
"No." Young Allison said. "Why would it? They were the enemy."
Young Allison wouldn't hesitate to hit hard, hit low and keep hitting.
That's Confusing
Say what you mean
Mean what you say
I really don't want it
It to be any other way
There are many kinks in life
No one needs extra strife
It will only put someone
On the wrong side of a knife
Think about tomorrow
Not about just right now
It's the road to nowhere
On that subject I can avow
Cut through the lies
Forget all the crap
It only turns into
Another quagmire or trap
Be careful when choosing
Unless you like losing
Avoid a needless bruising
Don't do anything that's confusing
Nobody
