Chapter 1168
Changing Plans
The group was in the main dining room eating dinner.
Cameron noticed her entrée was on John's plate. She wondered how she missed him take it. She was worried about bringing more people on board and leaving Vanna and Allison alone with Precious. She'd been lost deep in thought. She didn't want to let anyone know. She looked over at John.
"How is it?" Cameron asked.
John patted his belly three times. He was very pleased.
"Better than mine and mine was excellent." John said.
Cameron thought about the food she watched the others consume. She saw the remains of the lobster John ate. He'd only been served the tail part but she knew what a lobster looked like. She didn't like the way it looked. It reminded her of a giant insect in the way it was constructed. The crab that Derek ate didn't sit well with her either. She didn't like the way they looked. The filet mignon that was originally on her plate was too rare looking for her. She'd ordered it the way John asked her to. As she watched John cut into it, it looked bloody inside to her. She would have preferred to look at a burnt roast from Sarah. She understood the way nature worked and there was a food chain. She really didn't like to see the food chain in action as she watched humans consume other animals.
She noticed the bloody juice from the meat was still on her plate. It reminded her how barbaric and brutal humans were to other creatures. She would be glad when they all finished eating and the dessert was served. It was something she could relate to. She knew that many desserts were plant based as opposed to animal based. She tried to justify to herself it was somehow better to kill plants to eat than animals. Was it though? If the plant was alive and it needed to be killed to be served, how was it any better in reality? She really didn't want to think about the subject.
Cameron smiled and chatted with everyone as they ate. They all seemed happy for once. They didn't all look like they hated everyone or wanted to kill somebody for a change. This is how humans were supposed to look and be. Maybe by them feeling the way they did normally, they could help the rest of humanity to look happy like this. Maybe they could prevent them from being dead or dying by Skynet's hand or struggling to survive in the future of a wrecked planet. Maybe their sacrifice would save a lot of girls from falling into the hands of Scavengers. It was a fate worse than death. It was where death was soon welcomed. Death ended the suffering.
There were times when she'd thought of the same avenue of escape. Was it escaped or was it freedom? Was there a difference? She always believed there would be peace in nothingness. Was personal tranquility really too much to ask for?
She decided she would call Claire first and see what she wanted to do. She was sure Jesse would want to come with her. She was aware that Jesse and Claire spent a lot of alone time together. With Allison back at the base, Vanna and Allison were often together. That left Claire and Jesse with each other. She figured Vanna would like to take advantage of Claire being closer all the time too. It was clear Claire was the one everyone wanted to share with. She hoped to get John to partake in some of Claire's affection. She believed it would develop his hunger for Savannah and Young Allison. At that point, her mission would be complete. Future John's directives would be fulfilled. Would she be free at that point to pursue her own personal desires?
Cameron wondered about her mission. What was her mission anymore? She'd disrupted the 'Natural Order' and controlled everyone's sex life, even if indirectly. She believed she may have even determined some of their sexual preferences for them. Would Savannah have actually chosen the same path Vanna did? It was clear what path Young Allison chose to follow as well. Her internet searches were proof of that. Had she done the same thing to Summer? She may have done it to Jan as well. Was it her intent?. Did she do it on purpose? Maybe she did it to keep them 'available' for John. She needed to refocus.
There was a strong possibility Jesse and Claire were about to come on board at the first port. She was more determined than ever to use Sheila's chassis. Once she'd given John the virginity of Sheila's chassis, she would try and slip Jesse in on him if Claire didn't want to participate. Maybe she would keep using Sheila's chassis to make the transition easier. She could call Camille and get Young Jesse into one of the ports. It was a long flight so she would need to take the travel time into account. She believed after using Sheila's chassis and trying Jesse, John wouldn't be unable to turn Young Jesse down. Young Jesse asked for a traditional conception anyway. It only took a few minutes. How could she deny a girl a simple request if she planned to give her baby to someone else? Shouldn't everyone be willing to sacrifice a little if Young Jesse was willing to sacrifice so much?
There was some noise somewhere.
Cameron looked around. She blinked twice.
"…my dessert, Cameron?" John asked.
She quickly realized John was speaking to her.
Cameron noticed everyone was finished with the main course and they were holding dessert menus. She was too. Her menu was upside down. She quickly turned it right side up. She looked to see if anyone noticed but it didn't appear so. She wasn't even sure when she'd been given the dessert menu. She doubted it was handed to her upside down. Maybe she dropped it since she'd been lost in thought.
"I'll have some ice cream." Cameron said.
John looked at her for a second.
"It's what you usually try. I asked if you wanted to try a small bite of my dessert." John said. "I'm getting a chocolate soufflé."
Cameron tried to see how long she'd been drifting. She was unable to determine the time. She tried to cover up her episode. She'd been thinking how John could take Young Jesse's virginity and impregnate her.
"I'll give it a try. I was going to order some ice cream." Cameron said. "I'll try a small taste of yours and a spoonful of my ice cream. You can have the rest."
Derek, Kyle and Sarah were going to order crème brûlée. Riley wanted to order a 'molten fudge cake'.
Cameron pointed out they could order multiple desserts if they wanted to. She reminded them what happened on the ship, stayed on the ship. If they tried something and didn't like it, they didn't need to eat it. They could simply put it off to the side and try something different. A quick look at any of the tables around them showed there was plenty of food that wasn't consumed.
The waiter arrived and took the dessert order as he collected the menus. He headed off to the kitchen.
Cameron checked the time. She'd originally planned to catch the second performance in the main theater. It soon began to look like they could catch the first performance. She thought she might need to have CamNet delay the start of the first performance slightly. She figured it could be accomplished by cutting power to the stage for a short time. Something of that nature would definitely delay the start of the performance. They would actually be able to make the first performance on time due to their expedited meal service. It had actually saved them quite a bit of time.
She would call Claire on the way to their private box.
Everyone should have some dessert Cameron thought. She hoped she didn't interrupt Claire's and Jesse's 'dessert'. They were probably working on each other's 'private box'.
The Metal girls tried to keep track of where the rest of the team was at.
"Do you think they'll finish eating early and make the first performance?" Holly asked.
Sheila laughed. It seemed they'd done much the same thing.
"We all finished eating early and we are." Sheila said. "I want to stop by the casino."
Ally wasn't so sure it was a good idea. She didn't want Sheila to cause any problems. Cammy gave her a specific warning about Sheila and casinos. It was after the incident they'd experienced in Las Vegas when the three of them were pursued by the Syndicate thugs. She'd been there firsthand for that negative experience.
"Cammy told me to keep an eye on you if you go there." Ally said.
Sheila could have done without the warning from Ally. She didn't plan to get carried away. It was CamNet's money she would win anyway. It wasn't the Syndicate's money. Upon further reflection, she decided she'd better not upset CamNet. She was aware CamNet could be a whole lot worse than the Syndicate could ever be. She needed to remember they were on a ship.
"I'm not going to clean them out." Sheila said. "There is nowhere for us to escape to."
Hanna wanted to do other things too. She would like to see some of the ship.
"Do you want to look around first?" Hanna asked.
Ally wanted to do that with Hanna. They'd only seen a little bit of it before. Right now she needed to watch over Sheila in the casino.
"I can do it after the casino." Ally said.
Holly would rather look around the ship than go to the casino.
"We know where everything's at." Holly said. "Gail and I looked around earlier."
Gail didn't want to get caught up in Sheila's antics. She didn't see anything worthwhile happening with a visit to the casino. Savannah made it clear to her that she didn't like casinos. She would rather spend the time with Hanna.
"I don't want to go to the casino now." Gail said. "I'll look around with you, Hanna."
They all figured Gail would see Hanna as 'Savannah' most of the time.
Hanna left with Gail and Holly.
Sheila was a little disappointed to see them go. She would have liked for all of them to stay together. She wanted Gail and Holly to provide her with some cover so no one would pay attention to her. She figured everyone would spend their time looking at their nearly exposed giant breasts and not at her face. She was still part of the crew and didn't want to be recognized by anyone. She was with who she wanted to be with anyway.
"That leaves just us." Sheila said.
Ally loved Sheila. She liked to spend her time with her.
"It's fine with me." Ally said. "It's been that way for a long time."
Ally gave Sheila a small kiss.
Sheila was pleased to spend her time with Ally.
"Let's go." Sheila said.
Ally was worried because Sheila didn't have a disguise on now.
"Will any of the crew recognize you?" Ally asked.
Sheila didn't think anyone would based on how she was dressed now. She doubted anyone in the crew, except some of the entertainers, even owned a dress like she currently wore. She doubted any of the crew could ever look as 'good'. She hadn't really associated with many of them much either. It was doubtful any of them would be in the casino anyway.
"I don't know." Sheila said. "I look a little more elegant now in my long dress."
Ally ran her hands gently over Sheila's distinct curves.
"You look stunning and Hot." Ally said. "I can see your rings."
It pleased Sheila to hear that. She also took a long look at Ally. She was aware Ally and her ribbed each other a lot. She wanted to make sure her next statement was taken sincerely.
"Thank You. This is meant as a real compliment to you and not a dig. I want to honestly tell you something." Sheila said. "You look like Cameron."
Ally wanted to hear that. She hoped it was true.
"Do I really?" Ally asked.
Sheila smiled and softly touched Ally's cheek.
"Yes." Sheila said.
Ally felt very pleased now. There were others to thank for her current appearance.
"It's because you all helped me get ready. I can never seem to pull it off on my own." Ally said. "Allison always relied on her natural beauty. She seldom ever flaunts her true beauty. I guess I don't either. I think it's because of the 'Neural Interface' with Allison."
Ally was aware Allison tried to hide her natural beauty. It served as a magnet for abuse.
The reminder about the 'Neural Interface' gave Sheila an idea.
"All the girls are beautiful." Sheila said. "We should track down the females Gail and Holly are patterned after sometime."
Ally wasn't sure about the thought. It seemed it would only bring danger into the human girl's lives.
"I don't know if it would be a good idea." Ally said. "If we tried to do the 'Neural Interface' now, it would change who they are."
Sheila still liked the idea. They didn't necessarily need to do the 'Neural Interface'.
"It would still be interesting to see who the human females are." Sheila said.
Ally thought they should turn the job over to someone who wouldn't get in trouble from anyone.
"It sounds like a job for CamNet." Ally said.
Sheila looked around to make sure it was clear. There was another idea that popped to her mind. She wanted to make sure no one else heard. It was a plan for their personal benefit.
"We can find the real females and seduce them for ourselves." Sheila whispered. "We don't need to tell anyone."
Ally wondered what their sexual preference was. They may have other desires.
"It might not work out the way you think." Ally said.
Sheila was sure she could convince them otherwise. She thought based upon their looks and a little motivation, they could win them over.
"If we meet them dressed like this and shower them with gifts, I think we might get a crack at them." Sheila said. "Remember, once a female tries crack, she won't go back."
Ally giggled. She'd been told by most of the human females, only another female could ever truly satisfy them. She also knew they were certain guidelines they needed to follow.
"We risk angering Cameron if we explore outside of the Resistance." Ally said.
Sheila knew there was a way around that.
"We need to get them on one of these cruises then." Sheila said.
Ally wasn't sure how it could change anything.
"Why?" Ally asked. "What would be the difference?"
Sheila specifically heard Cameron make a statement about the ship.
"Cameron said, 'What happens on the ship, stays on the ship.' I'm willing to take her up on her proclamation." Sheila said.
Ally hadn't heard it herself. She wondered if it was true or not.
"Really?" Ally asked.
Sheila felt a little miffed Ally didn't believe her.
"Really." Sheila said. "You can ask her."
Ally thought it sounded intriguing.
Sheila stopped Ally.
Ally looked at where they were now on the ship. They were in front of the casino.
"We're here." Sheila said.
Ally was a little hesitant. She was sure some type of problem would occur.
"I don't know about this." Ally said. "Bad things always happen in these places."
Sheila brushed past Ally. She thought it was a problem for the casino owners.
"Let's find out." Sheila said.
Ally shrugged her shoulders. She was sure it was a bad idea.
"Whatever…." Ally said.
Sheila and Ally entered the casino.
Ally did note how excited Sheila looked now. She wasn't sure exactly what part of it seemed to excite her the most. She didn't think it was about winning as far as the money went. There were literally millions of dollars packed into storerooms at both bases. She thought it was more about beating the system and not getting caught. She was sure that CamNet wouldn't take too kindly to any of her antics.
Cameron was anxious to speak to Claire about coming on board. She hoped everyone would finish their desserts so they could go. She really wanted to use her phone.
John noticed Cameron was a little antsy. He wasn't sure why.
"Is everything OK?" John asked quietly.
Cameron looked around.
"What?" Cameron asked.
John was a little more worried.
"Are you having a problem?" John asked.
Cameron smiled at John.
"No. I'm fine." Cameron said. "I need to call Claire and Jesse."
John could see it was a compulsion for Cameron at this point. It appeared to cause a problem for her because she couldn't do it right now. He decided to offer her a solution.
"Why don't you do it while we finish up here." John said. "We can meet you by the elevators."
Cameron looked at the rest of the group. She was a little worried about the optics.
"I don't want to be rude." Cameron said.
John thought that was a first. He didn't even think it was something Cameron would consider.
Sarah was a little concerned about what was going on between John and Cameron.
"What are you two whispering about?" Sarah asked.
Cameron looked at Sarah and smiled.
"Nothing." Cameron said. "I don't want to be rude."
Sarah thought that was a first. She didn't even think it was something Cameron would consider.
John and Sarah as well as everyone else often thought Cameron's actions or statements were rude. They were all aware it was just the way Cameron did things. They didn't always like the way she did things either. It didn't really matter what they thought. Cameron seemed to play by her own rule book or lack of one.
He wanted to set the record straight. He wanted the others to know Cameron was ready to carry out their plan.
"Cameron needs to call the others to get something set up for tomorrow. I told her she can do it while we finish dessert and meet her at the elevators." John said. "The use of phones isn't allowed in the main dining room."
Derek eyeballed Cameron's ice cream. She'd only tried one tiny bite.
"That's a good idea." Derek said. "I can have the rest of her ice cream then."
Cameron smiled at Derek and slid her ice cream over.
"You can have it anyway. There's an ice cream bar next to the buffet by the pool." Cameron said. "You can have as much as you want."
'I can have Bob bring the machine to your suite.' Cameron almost said but caught herself before she did. She didn't want to be rude.
John wanted to put Cameron at ease.
"He can check it out after the performance." John said. "Go see what you can get set up."
Cameron smiled at everyone.
"I'm sorry." Cameron said. "Excuse me."
Cameron got up to leave. She smoothed her dress as they all watched. She was absolutely beautiful.
The waiter noticed Cameron got up before everyone was finished. He came over to see if there was any problem.
Cameron didn't want the waiter to think anything was wrong. She wanted to put his mind at ease.
"I need to use the restroom." Cameron said. "I feel a little tired. Excuse me."
Cameron walked away.
The waiter looked at her as she walked away.
Sarah didn't want the waiter to dwell on what Cameron said. She actually thought it was funny. She figured it could have been worse. Cameron could have said she wanted to use the bathroom because she wanted to get cleaned up or take a bath.
"She's a real kidder." Sarah said.
Everyone at their table watched Cameron walk away. They saw the other diner's heads turn and look at her and then look at her again as she walked out. They were sure everyone looked at her three times.
Derek couldn't help but notice the elegance and beauty that radiated from Cameron.
"She's a real looker too." Derek said.
It was a term he'd heard Jesse use. Based upon what he just witnessed with everyone's multiple looks at Cameron, it really made sense.
'I'll say.' The waiter thought. He liked his job and remained silent.
"Is there anything else I can get you?" The waiter asked.
Kyle tried to be funny.
"I'd say the bill but I guess it's covered." Kyle said.
The waiter smiled. He was the best waiter on the ship and he was being paid five times his normal salary to wait on the special group. He was to get them anything they wanted, even from the Captain's pantry. It was a first in his career. He wasn't sure who the group was but they certainly had a lot of pull. He also noticed the way that the Maitre d' responded when he first looked at their card key. He wanted them to know everything would be covered for the dinner tomorrow night.
"It is. We'll have two waiters and two assistant waiters for your party tomorrow." The waiter said.
John thought the waiter did an outstanding job tonight. He wondered why they would need any extra help for tomorrow. He wondered about what the waiter said and then it hit him. He wanted to confirm it.
"Why?" John asked. "The service was excellent."
The waiter indicated the other two empty tables by them.
"It will be for the larger group tomorrow." The waiter said. "There will be four to eight more people in your group tomorrow night."
John was more than a little surprised to hear that.
"There will be?" John asked.
The waiter was glad he was given a heads up.
"Yes." The waiter said. "I just received notification from the head waiter."
John wondered what was going on. Wait, he didn't need to wonder.
"Thanks." John said.
The waiter left.
Sarah caught the inference too. She looked at John.
"Cameron just left while he was here." Sarah said. "She hasn't even called them yet. How could he already know?"
John wasn't exactly sure what the metric was. It was either something Cameron planned all along and knew it was going to happen or they had some assistance from the most powerful entity on Earth. He didn't want his mother to worry about what Cameron's involvement may have been.
"I'm sure it was from CamNet." John said.
John and Sarah exchanged a long look. CamNet was the truly unstoppable version of Cameron.
Everyone was still in the commissary. They were almost done with dinner.
Allison and Vanna were in a playful mood. They took turns feeding each other a bite of food. Soon Jesse and Claire did the same thing. Much to everyone's surprise, Jan and Summer started to do it too.
It caused the other two couples to stop. They knew what they were doing. They were doing it as lovers or loving couples. Now Jan and Summer started to emulate them. They didn't know what the future held but there was certainly no need to rush it.
Before it got too much more awkward, Precious began to cry. It quickly broke up the uneasy silence.
"Someone else wants to eat too." Vanna said.
Vanna carefully picked Precious up and opened her top. Everyone looked at her exposed breasts.
Jesse looked down at her nursing breasts.
"I got this one, love." Jesse said.
Vanna was good to go right now. She remembered Allison's earlier request.
"Are you sure?" Vanna asked.
Jesse cupped her breasts and jiggled them up and down several times.
"I'm bulging sure." Jesse said.
Jesse opened her top. Everyone now looked at her exposed breasts.
"Wow!" Jan said.
Jan almost said she'd never seen Jesse so big before. It would indicate she'd been spying on her before. She checked herself in time. Jesse was the easiest one to spy on. She never closed her door tight.
Vanna handed Precious to Jesse.
Jan and Summer whispered back and forth.
Claire noticed. She wanted Summer to exhibit good manners.
"There are no secrets at the table." Claire said. "What were you two whispering about?"
Summer looked at Jan. She looked back at her mother and smiled.
"Jan wondered what you were going to snack on later." Summer said. "Now it's Allison who will get to have a snack instead."
The room was silent.
Claire tried to play it cool.
"There's no 'big girl' talk at the table." Claire said.
Summer was about to point out she was pretty much a 'big girl' herself. She knew her mother didn't want her to grow up but she couldn't stop nature. She didn't want to be rude or seem like she talked back to her mother. It wasn't her intention to do either of those things. She remained silent.
It was clear to everyone the girls knew and understood everything.
The moment was awkward. They were all saved by the bell.
Claire received a phone call. She looked at her phone.
"It's Cameron." Claire said.
The fact it was Cameron seemed to cause everyone a little apprehension. Everyone wondered why. They hoped it was nothing serious.
Jesse said what everyone thought.
"It must be important." Jesse said.
Claire was a little worried as she answered the call.
"Hello, Cameron." Claire said.
Pause.
"Everyone is here in the commissary." Claire said.
Pause.
Claire pushed something on her phone.
"OK. It's on speaker phone now." Claire said. "Everyone can hear."
Everyone said 'Hello' to Cameron.
Cameron gave a run down of what was happening on the ship and why she called. It was clear Jan and Summer were excited to hear what might happen tomorrow.
Claire didn't want to leave anyone behind.
"I don't know." Claire said. "What about Vanna and Allison?"
Cameron didn't think it would be a problem. There were still several more ports.
"They'll be able to take the next leg." Cameron said.
Claire was a little concerned about which port.
"Do you mean out of San Diego?" Claire asked.
Cameron wanted them to know there were three ports in three days.
"Or out of Catalina." Cameron said.
Claire was a little concerned about the next port.
"I don't know about flying into Mexico." Claire said.
Cameron thought they could get an extra treat out of everything. She quickly calculated what other possibilities she could offer Claire instead.
"It would be on a private jet. Would you feel more comfortable driving to San Diego tomorrow morning?" Cameron asked. "I think we can work things out."
Vanna was a little confused. She knew the first port was Ensenada. San Diego was the day after and Catalina was the day after it.
"I thought the ship was going to Ensenada tomorrow." Vanna said.
Cameron already calculated several different scenarios to have the ship change its first port.
"It was." Cameron said. "It will go to San Diego tomorrow morning instead."
Jesse didn't think it would be that easy to do.
"How do you change a cruise ship itinerary just like that?" Jesse asked.
Cameron knew she was going to need a little assistance.
"CamNet has it covered." Cameron said. "She needs to notify Bob of the change in plans."
Claire was still in awe that Cameron could change the port for an entire cruise ship.
"What time do we need to leave?" Claire asked.
Jesse wasn't sure what all they would need to take. It didn't seem anyone else took very much with them.
"What do we need to bring?" Jesse asked.
Cameron knew they would only need their personal items. She would make sure everything else was ready for them when they arrived. In reality, it already was ready. She didn't want to tell them that. She wanted to make it sound like it was still a last minute decision.
"John Henry will coordinate everything for you." Cameron said. "You will have a Terminator escort."
Jan and Summer were even more excited now. Going on the ship sounded like a lot of fun.
"Thanks, Cameron." Jan said.
Cameron didn't want Vanna and Allison to feel excluded. The safety of Precious came first.
"Vanna, I need to know if this is acceptable to you." Cameron said.
Allison wanted to make her position clear before Vanna answered.
"I'll stay by Vanna's side." Allison said.
Vanna wanted to reaffirm their position with Cameron.
"It is acceptable, Cameron." Vanna said. "Precious is all mine."
Allison and Jesse exchange a quick glance.
Jesse thought about their earlier discussion that Vanna would start to think of Precious as her own child. She didn't want the topic to come up.
"After Precious is done here she is." Jesse said.
Cameron could see the others exit from the dining room.
"I see the rest of our group is almost here." Cameron said. "I'll see you tomorrow. Thank you for assisting me, bye"
Everyone wondered about the last line Cameron spoke.
Bob received a notification from CamNet. They were going to experience 'engine failure' in three of the four engines in several hours. They were going to be notified to put in at San Diego a day early and head to Ensenada the day after. They would receive orders from 'corporate headquarters' to get everything checked out in San Diego before they continued on to Ensenada.
He was also informed Claire and Jesse would join them along with Jan and Summer. They were already in the system as if they'd already boarded in San Pedro and would show as first off the ship. If they used the procedure, they could board soon after everyone started to disembark as if they'd returned early.
He was a little concerned about the sudden change but didn't doubt CamNet's ability to make it all happen.
Vanna and Jesse discussed what they knew about the cruise ship itinerary. It wasn't a whole lot. Summer showed them some information on her phone as to what all was involved. It wasn't just the ship going to a port and people getting off to look around on foot. There was an elaborate procedure where tours were often booked months in advance. They were set up for certain days of the week.
Claire did the dishes with Jan and Summer. She thought about all the people with tours lined up at both San Diego and Ensenada. There would be hundreds of people inconvenienced. It started to bother her greatly.
"Excuse me." Claire said and left.
Jan and Summer looked at each other.
Claire took out her phone and called Cameron. She wasn't sure if Cameron would be able to answer right away or not.
"Hello." Cameron said.
Claire wanted Cameron to know she still was going to go but not to change the original itinerary.
"Cameron, don't change anything with the ship. We can board in Ensenada." Claire said. "I don't want to mess things up for all the other people on the ship who have tours lined up."
Cameron was a little surprised at Claire's change of heart.
"Are you sure?" Cameron asked.
Claire glanced back toward the commissary. She could see how much Jan and Summer wanted to go.
"I'm sure." Claire said. "I'll see you tomorrow in Ensenada. There will be four of us."
Claire returned to Jan and Summer.
Summer looked at her mother.
"I take it we're going to Ensenada tomorrow instead of San Diego." Summer said.
Claire looked at Summer for a moment. She knew Summer couldn't have heard the conversation from where she was at when she spoke with Cameron.
"You're correct." Claire said.
The drive to San Diego seemed boring to Jan. She wanted to go on an airplane.
"Do we get to fly in a plane tomorrow?" Jan asked.
Claire was sure it was the original plan. She certainly didn't want to drive to Ensenada.
"I think so." Claire said.
Jan was even more excited now.
"Who will fly us?" Jan asked.
Summer was sure they would have plenty of Terminator support.
"John Henry will." Summer said. "It will be him with Cam or Cammy."
Bob received new information from CamNet that things were back to the originally scheduled. There would be no changes and no notifications had been made as of yet.
He was also informed that Claire, Jesse, Jan and Summer would join them in Ensenada with the same plan as before about boarding.
Bob wondered what it was all about. Now it was back to Cameron's original plan. The one she'd told him about before he left to get on the ship in the first place. Everything that happened was all pre planned by Cameron. He knew there would be more boarding at various ports. So far all the personnel were as Cameron informed him it would be in the beginning.
He would visit the Control Center in spare room of the Owner's Suite as soon as he was free. He wanted to verify a few things and make sure everything was all right with everyone.
Savannah and Cammy switched vehicles before they returned to the area near the port with the building the two homeless men were in.
Steve and Tom transferred Cam back to them when they were still a half mile away from the target area. They let her off and she walked a few blocks over to where Cammy and Savannah were parked. They didn't want any direct correlation with the two different vehicles.
Cammy constantly monitored what was happening around them.
"The drones have picked up nothing." Cammy said.
Savannah was still convinced they'd missed something. In this particular case Savannah couldn't say 'no news' was 'good news'. She would rather have bad news so they knew where they stood. Right now everything was speculation.
"I think there's something here." Savannah said. "Maybe there's something we missed."
Cam wanted to offer them another possibility.
"Maybe it's nothing." Cam said. "We don't have much to go on right now."
Savannah looked up at the dark night sky.
"I want the buildings around here scanned by a drone." Savannah said. "It's dark now. One can make a low pass and try several types of imagery. They can use more than one angle to make sure they don't miss anyone hiding."
Cam wanted to go in herself. She could recon the structures on foot
"Let me go in and take a look." Cam said. "I can check out the inside of the structure."
Savannah was sure they needed to find some other way in. She didn't want to split up the team and she didn't want anyone to operate on their own. If Cam insisted, she would need to go with her.
"We need to find a better way in than what we've used before." Savannah said. "If someone is watching this area they've seen everything."
Cammy wanted an update from John Henry.
"John Henry, have you noticed anything different inside?" Cammy asked.
Savannah knew how snipers operated. They could remain very isolated and very still for long periods of time. She wanted to cover all the bases.
"We need to know if anything at all is different." Savannah said.
John Henry looked over all the images that he'd received.
"There've been no changes." John Henry said.
Savannah hoped they would have learned a little more information by now.
"What about tracing any of the calls back?" Savannah asked.
John Henry was dissatisfied with what he'd been able to uncover. It wasn't much.
"They all came from different 'burners'. They were used at different locations." John Henry said. "I think we missed someone before."
Savannah believed the same thing. There was often someone who was able to avoid the strike when they took down a location. In this case, if they were actually dealing with three different groups, the third group may not have been affected at all. Then again, the original sniper could have been from the third group as well. It could mean it was the third group now that seemed to pull everyone's strings.
"They've gone to a lot of effort to do all this." Savannah said.
John Henry wasn't sure who to point the finger at yet.
"I think we can rule the Syndicate out." John Henry said.
Savannah wanted to know if anyone had disturbed what they'd secured previously.
"Have the openings Cammy and Dan blocked earlier been uncovered or opened?" Savannah asked.
John Henry checked the images from the latest drone pass.
"Drone footage shows everything to be undisturbed." John Henry said.
Savannah remembered what Cammy said would be needed to move what they blocked the openings with. It would require a Terminator. She tried to think which group might be responsible.
"I think we have the anti-Metal faction here." Savannah said.
John Henry didn't want to rule out one of the more dangerous groups.
"It would seem to be them or the Fanatics." John Henry said.
Cammy wasn't sure anyone could be ruled out.
"We can't rule out Grays." Cammy said. "I don't think the Syndicate would go to this much trouble."
It seemed the more they knew, the less they knew.
Changing Plans
Is anything in life
Ever really set in stone
If it is to some people
They can expect to be alone
There needs to be flexibility
There has to be some give and take
Be wary of what is heard
There are many who are fake
Words are easy to say
What's done really matters
They can maim and destroy
Leave a heart and mind in tatters
Never play all the cards
Try to save an ace
No one knows when
They will face disgrace
Make sure the scans
Cover all the heart spans
Be ready to up the game
Be ready for changing plans
Nobody
