Chapter 1171
Cold Feet
Ally left Cameron and Sheila behind. She looked forward to seeing if she could finally pull off being 'Cameron'. Every other attempt she'd tried failed. She could never fool Savannah or Young Allison. Most of the others were only fooled for a short time. It was actually very discouraging.
Ally caught up to the rest of the group just as they were all going into the three private boxes.
Holly held the door for John.
It was time for Ally to make her move.
"I'm back." Ally said.
John looked at her and smiled. He was glad 'Cameron' was back and there didn't appear to be an issue.
"We made it just in time." John said. "I'm glad there were no problems."
The house lights were still on so John could see easily.
"I'll sit here." Ally said.
Ally sat down.
John looked out of the corner of the private box over the main theater seating. The one way glass cover was up. They could see out but no one could see in. Their private box fronts looked like decorative mirrors on the side of the theater. He took in the size of the crowd. The theater was very large and it was packed.
"Wow! There are a lot of people down there." John said.
John was glad he wasn't down in the throng of people.
Ally looked out the side too.
"It's crowded down there." Ally said.
The lights in the theater dimmed.
John looked at the glass partition in front of them.
"Can we make the window open?" John asked.
Ally looked over the set of controls located directly in front of them.
"It looks like we can lower it all the way down or part of the way down." Ally said. "It's up to you."
John thought about it for a moment. He wasn't sure what would be best.
"Since it's dark in the theater, let's try it all the way down to start out with." John said. "We can always put it part way back up if we attract anyone's attention."
Ally lowered the one way glass. It created a balcony for them. The other two private boxes shared the same feature. The one way glass was something they could control.
The Cruise Director made a few announcements and pointed out the emergency exits. They talked about some of the upcoming events and what was happening at different places on the ship and some of the upcoming performances. There would be several cooking demonstrations and a few nature talks at various times of the day.
The Cruise Director left the stage and the room went completely dark.
The curtains opened and the singers and dancers came out on the stage amidst a flurry of colored lights.
Ally felt John's hand find the slit in her dress and rest on her knee. A rush of excitement filled her. She'd never been touched by a male before in this manner. She wondered where his hand would go next. She expected him to cop a feel first. Maybe he would go straight for the 'gold'.
The theme of the musical show was the 'British Invasion'. The first song began. The singing and dancing started. It was a song by the Kinks.
'You Really Got Me', blasted out from the stage.
Ally felt John's hand start to slide up her leg. She tensed up. John was headed for her secret spot. Cameron said he wouldn't get too carried away with anything. She wasn't so sure.
"Excuse me." Ally said. "I need to check something real quick."
Ally got up and exited the private box.
John turned back and looked at her. He wondered if he'd done something wrong. He thought about following her.
Ally felt very uneasy and unsure about herself. She questioned what she was doing. She thought it was going to be more like a practical joke than anything. It seemed to be anything but that when it started. John believed she was Cameron. She didn't want to steal any private moments from Cameron and John. The cruise was supposed to be about them. It wasn't about her. It wasn't about her having fun at someone else's expense either. She didn't want to do it anymore. She wanted to put the brakes on everything before it went too far. She went out into the hall of the private box area. Cameron waited there to make her entrance.
"I can't do this." Ally said. "I'm sorry."
Cameron smiled when she said that. It was exactly what she was told would happen. She actually believed Ally would go further but it wasn't the situation. There was someone who evidently knew Ally much better than she did.
"Sheila told me you would come out as soon as he touched you." Cameron said.
Ally wanted to be touched, but as herself. Not as 'Cameron'. She didn't want to spoil the evening for John. She wanted Cameron to get back inside the theater and take over where she'd left off. She wanted to reset the moment for both John and Cameron.
"When you go back, place his right hand on your inner thigh right here." Ally said as she showed Cameron where.
It was as Cameron figured. She was very aware of the parts of her sheath John liked to touch and fondle. He always concentrated on the same areas.
"He was headed straight for the 'gold'." Cameron said.
Ally felt bad about the whole deal. Maybe under different circumstances it could be something to play out. It just wasn't the right setting. It wasn't the right point in time.
"I'm sorry, Cameron." Ally said. "This is about John and you for this trip. We can fool around some other time. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm really sorry."
Ally went into the box where Sheila and the Metal girls watched the performance from.
Cameron smiled.
She liked the control she still exhibited over the other Metal girls. She was pretty sure every one of them, including Sheila, would have backed out of the same situation Ally just did. Some may have let it go a little further than others but she knew they all would have folded. She wasn't so sure it would still be the case once she took the virginity of their chassis and gave it to John. Maybe after she broke in their chassis they might allow a little more to happen on their own. She would make them the promise they would be allowed one time with John after she'd claimed their virginity herself with John. She doubted any of them would follow through. It would be a win – win for her in every respect. Not only would she get to be someone different. She could also give John something she didn't believe she was able to the first time they were together. She could provide him with a virgin chassis that was under the control of her program. It would be her and not the actual owner of the chassis. She smiled again.
Cameron went into the box with John and sat down and placed his hand where Ally said it was before she'd left.
"Things are back to where they were." Cameron said. "I apologize for the brief interruption. You may proceed."
John was still a little taken aback by Cameron's earlier departure when he touched her like he normally did. Now she was back like nothing happened.
"Is everything alright?" John asked.
They were about half way through the first song.
Cameron thought maybe she should urge his hand a little higher to refocus his attention.
"Everything is perfect." Cameron said.
John thought she was a little off when he first touched her. He wondered if he'd done something wrong or acted too aggressively. It wasn't like it was something he didn't do all the time.
"You seemed really tense awhile ago." John said.
Cameron wanted to play it cool. She wanted to move things along.
"I just needed to follow up on something." Cameron said. "Everything is fine."
John listened to the raw guitar sounds as they blasted out the tune. He really liked how the tune seemed to say the title of the song with its five syllables.
"Even the music 'says' the song's name, 'You Really Got Me'." John said.
Cameron could tell the same thing. She wanted to please John.
"John, you really got me." Cameron whispered in his ear.
John felt a rush of excitement to hear Cameron say those words. He believed from the moment he first met Cameron she'd done so as well. He thought she was hot and beautiful the instant he saw her. He tried to downplay everything from the very start. Who was he fooling? It was love at first sight. He looked at Cameron and smiled.
"You really got me, Cameron." John said. "You always have."
They gave each other a small kiss.
Cameron gave John's hand a little push to continue its upward journey….
John's hand did and soon reached its destination. It never hurt to 'knock on the door'.
Cameron smiled in the darkness. She liked it when everyone was happy, including herself.
Ally entered the private box where the Metal girls were. She wasn't even sure she wanted to go there right now. She sat down next to Sheila.
Sheila was a little surprised to see Ally enter their private box so soon. She figured there must have been a problem. She wondered how Ally could have blown it so quickly.
"What happened?" Sheila asked. "How did he 'make' you so fast?"
Ally told her the truth. She wasn't proud of what she'd just done. She actually felt ashamed.
"He didn't." Ally said. "I got cold feet."
Gail turned around and faced them. She wanted to hear the song and watch the singer's dance. She didn't like the disruption.
"Quiet." Gail said. "We want to listen."
Sheila ignored Gail and continued to converse with Ally. She toned it down a little. She wanted the details.
"Did he touch you?" Sheila whispered.
Ally thought back on the experience. She knew John would never touch her like that in any setting if he knew it was her. It made her feel very unclean about herself in what she tried to do in jest. John had more respect for her and the other Metal girls than to ever touch them in an inappropriate manner. He'd never done so to any of them that she was aware of. All he needed to do was ask one of them to be with him and they couldn't say 'no'. It was an option Cameron created to prevent him from feeling alone when she was away. It was an option that she didn't believe he'd ever used with anyone. Holly was at his disposal for fifteen months when Cameron was 'gone'. He never touched her once in an inappropriate way. She looked down at her leg in the darkness.
"He only touched my leg. He didn't touch my private parts. I left before he could. He was going to touch everything." Ally whispered. "I couldn't do it."
Sheila couldn't see why she didn't. It was no big deal. The girls touched her all the time.
"Why not?" Sheila asked in a whisper.
Ally didn't want to cause a problem. She didn't want to do something which was deceitful related do something sexual in nature. It was the wrong setting.
"It wasn't right. The cruise is about John and Cameron. I didn't want to do something like that to John and Cameron." Ally whispered. "We're their guests. This isn't the time for a prank or fooling around. I feel really bad about it."
Ally felt Sheila's hand touch her knee.
Sheila could tell Ally was very uneasy and upset. She thought it was probably as much her fault as anyone's that the idea got pushed forward. She looked over at Ally
"Ally, you really got me." Sheila whispered.
Ally looked at Sheila.
"You really got me, Sheila." Ally whispered.
They gave each other a small kiss.
Ally urged Sheila's hand up her leg. It never hurt to 'knock on the door'.
It soon found its mark. It never hurt to say 'Hello'.
Sheila didn't stop there….
Ally enjoyed the comfort of someone who was very familiar to her.
Sheila was aware that a satisfied customer was a repeat customer.
Gail didn't like the rude interruption by Sheila and Ally. She wanted to enjoy the musical experience.
She sat with Hanna and Holly. When she looked over at Holly she smiled. When she looked over at Hanna it hit her like a ton of bricks.
The song playing suddenly made sense to her. As the reverberations of the music physically cascaded against her sheath, the words of the song hit home. She could feel the words. Seeing Hanna only reinforced it.
The song was how she felt about Savannah. It really was. She knew Savannah was the 'forbidden fruit' as far as a committed relationship was possible. She did understand it and understood why. Knowing the reality still didn't alter the way she felt. She couldn't stop her feelings for Savannah.
'You really got me, Savannah.' Gail thought.
The next song started to play.
The new song seemed to hit even deeper for Gail. It continued right after the first song with barely a pause. It was also by the 'Kinks'.
'All Day And All Of The Night', thundered throughout the theater.
It too is how she felt about Savannah. It was like the songs were written for her.
Gail looked back at Sheila who was fondling Ally and stimulating her. She then looked over at Hanna. Hanna noticed and smiled at her.
She wanted to see Savannah or Jesse.
Gail felt homesick. They were only a few hours into the sailing.
She didn't want to get caught up in thoughts of 'what if'. Life wasn't about 'what if'. It was about 'what was'. She needed to evaluate everything. She was very pleased with the things she actually possessed. She wasn't sure if possessed was actually the right word. She was happy with the things she shared. Jesse, and Duplicate Jesse before her, shared a whole new world with her. She was very grateful and appreciative of those things. Never once did they ever look down on her for being a Terminator. Well, technically she was a Restorator.
She thought about touching herself.
Jim followed all the operations. Cameron checked in twice and he filled her in. There was nothing major happening right now but it could still evolve into something more. He decided not to get too specific about all of the action that occurred around the port area. When Cameron returned to the Control Center later on, she could plug in and update all of the details.
He replayed the video file of Gail and Holly together earlier. He was so close to them he could hear and almost feel the sounds they made.
Jim felt like an intruder.
He quickly deleted the file. He didn't want to get caught up in the private moments of someone else. It was wrong for him to watch them share together. It was done mostly out of curiosity rather than anything else. He'd watched thousands of files on the internet of people sharing. Somehow it was different to see individuals that he knew sharing. It felt like he stole a private moment from them. He didn't think if he was ever with someone else that he would want to be watched by anyone.
He decided to focus on the small drone approaching the target area of Cam's SUV.
He was there to do a job. It wasn't supposed to be a hand job either. He forced his 'junk' back inside his pants. It took some effort.
Cam felt they were all overreacting. All the threats seemed neutralized. The operation appeared to be over with no further action needed. They were in the wrap up stages. She didn't think it would be a problem to retrieve her SUV on her own. She really didn't know what all the drama was about. There appeared to be only one perp and they were now terminated.
"I think my SUV is fine." Cam said.
Savannah knew they were about to test the assumption. She was going to test it anyway.
"Let's find out." Savannah said.
Savannah, Cammy and Cam kept a lookout around them as they watched the drone footage of the small drone approach Cam's SUV.
John Henry controlled the drone. He'd hijacked it from someone who was spying on their neighbor's daughter in her second floor bedroom.
The drone was up above the window looking in as the female changed her clothes. He downloaded all the information that was in its files. He was pleased to see the female was previously surveilled several times. He wasn't sure if the female knew she was being watched. She seemed to make a point of being seen when she didn't need to be. He wondered if whoever sent the drone was more than just a secret admirer of her. Maybe it was her lover. It could be the husband of another woman as far as he knew at this point. He was sure there was a little more going on than just someone spying on their neighbor. All of the drone images were very specific to the one individual. They were almost all at the same exact time as well. He thought it all seemed highly coincidental. He really wasn't sure what was going would have liked to watch the show a little longer but the team needed answers now.
Claire and Jesse entered the Command Center. They exchanged pleasantries. It seemed to be something Claire always did. The smile on her face went a long way. He thought it was something they could use a little more of at the base. Sarah and John were short on smiles as were all of the people from the future. Savannah and Claire were not. The younger girls weren't either. He enjoyed being around Young Allison, Jan and Summer whenever they were there. He was pretty sure that everyone's life influence had a major impact upon their current disposition. In the case of most of those who dealt with the Resistance, it seemed to be a very negative disposition on life.
John Henry overrode the signal and flew the commandeered drone away.
They watched the video feed of what he was doing. They caught the 'tail end' of where the drone was previously focused.
Jesse and Claire looked at each other for a moment as they viewed the female in the window. John Henry gave them a brief explanation as to what he was doing and he needed to appropriate the drone.
Claire was afraid they might be in the way.
"If you're busy we can come back." Claire said.
John Henry was pleased to see both of them. He especially liked to see Claire. She always seemed so happy and cheerful. He also liked the way that she looked at him. He noticed she also looked at the front of his pants often. He was pretty sure if he asked Claire or Jesse to be with him, they would probably both agree. He didn't want to violate any of Cameron's rules regardless of whatever modifications she may have made to them. It still seemed to him certain things were taboo. As far as being busy, his server was always on in the background. It allowed him to do other things himself, even if he was plugged in.
"I can do many things at one time." John Henry said.
Jesse wanted to see more. She wanted to see more of the images that were on the screen when they entered. She liked what she saw.
"Can you go back to the female?" Jesse asked. "She was hot."
Claire looked at Jesse and frowned. She was aware of Jesse's insatiable appetite for females. It was also a reminder to her of her daughters. She wouldn't want anyone to spy on them, even if they wanted someone to spy on them.
Jesse shrugged her shoulders. She didn't think it hurt to look.
John Henry didn't want to get sidetracked. He didn't want Jesse to get sidetracked either.
"No." John Henry said. "The drone won't return to this location. I've commandeered it for a mission."
Claire didn't want to be in the way. She remembered Young Allison never liked her to look over her shoulder either when she followed an operation. She was unaware of the thousands of deaths Young Allison was responsible for, even if it was indirectly. Some of those deaths were directly the results of some of her specific requests.
"Maybe we should come back." Claire said.
John Henry didn't want them to leave. He enjoyed the company. He missed John being there with him. It seemed empty and lonely without him. He liked it even better when Summer was there to assist him. He was sure her potential was far greater than she'd allowed him or anyone else to actually see. He wanted to let them know about what would happen tomorrow morning.
"No." John Henry said. "I have all the details for your flight tomorrow. Everything is arranged already. You will leave for Van Nuys Airport at seven o'clock in the morning.
Claire looked at Jesse. She didn't want Jesse to carry things out to the extreme during the night.
"We better not do an 'all-nighter' then." Claire said. "At least I better not anyway."
Jesse smiled. She actually didn't see why they couldn't. They wouldn't be driving or flying themselves.
John Henry thought it was best to keep them focused for right now. He wanted them to understand how things were going to work as far as anything 'official'.
"Your documents are all prepared and in order. They'll be in the system if they need to be at any specific location only." John Henry said. "They'll disappear as soon as they are no longer needed."
Claire wanted to make sure Summer and Jan were covered.
"Is everything for the girls OK too?" Claire asked.
John Henry wondered why it wouldn't be. They were all going to be on the same airplane and all going to be on the same ship.
"Everything is ready." John Henry said.
Claire looked down at her attire. She hadn't brought many things with her when they arrived at the base a few days ago. She did own clothes that were much nicer than any she normally wore. She still didn't have really 'high class' clothes though.
"I don't have many fancy clothes here." Claire said. "They're all in Palmdale still."
John Henry didn't want them to worry about it. He also wanted to address a specific part of the unofficial dress code.
"You only need to bring casual clothes for a few days and any undergarments if you choose to wear them." John Henry said. "Cameron will provide anything else you need on the ship."
Claire seemed to wear undergarments less and less. If she wore a dress she wasn't going to wear any. If the dress was tight fitting she wanted it to hug her figure. There was no sag or droop to her breasts and she was very happy with their size and shape. It appeared all the other females were pleased with them too. She figured the only thing she needed to do was make sure the girls were ready to go.
"I'll have everyone ready at seven o'clock." Claire said.
Claire turned to leave.
Jesse wasn't done with the small drone. She'd hoped to see a little more. She wanted to see what John Henry was up to. She wasn't aware of any other instance where a small drone was used by the Resistance.
"Let's see where that little drone goes." Jesse said.
John Henry wanted her to know this was an operational endeavor, not a recreational one.
"It won't observe any other females on its journey." John Henry said.
John Henry visually scanned both Jesse and Claire. He made sure the measurements were correct for the clothes on board that would be waiting for them. He was surprised to see Claire's figure dimensions were exactly identical to Samantha's. The Resequencing had progressed rapidly. He noted the dress Cameron ordered for Sheila would be too tight on Jesse with her increased breast volume. Then again, she might like the look of her breasts about to pop out of her dress. It would sure draw a lot of looks. He was aware it seemed to for some celebrities who chose to dress in that fashion. He was pretty sure 'nip slips' and too loose of a top weren't just coincidental or accidents. It kept the celebrities in the news and their name in people's minds. He noted there were plenty of 'up skirt' images now from the paparazzi of some of the female celebrities as they got into and out of vehicles, usually they were a limousine. As they would move to get in or out, everything would be quite visible between their legs. There were thousands of images now on the internet. He wasn't so sure that the 'leaked' images weren't orchestrated by the individual themselves for the same purpose. There were plenty of female celebrities on line now. He knew what everything looked like in detail.
Claire thought John Henry looked a little lost right now. She wanted him to refocus.
"Where's the cute little drone going?" Claire asked.
John Henry was aware of what the specific purpose Savannah wanted him to commandeer it for was.
"It may be going up in flames." John Henry said.
It wasn't the answer Claire expected. She wasn't really sure what it actually meant. There might be some danger out there for some of their team. It seemed everything that involved the Resistance was a threat and filled with danger. She really couldn't understand why Young Allison wanted to be involved more in dangerous operations. It just didn't make sense to her.
They tracked the commandeered drone from the Young bunker.
Anna chose not to comment on what the small drone viewed before it was commandeered by John Henry. She waited to see if Young Allison would mention anything about what it was actually doing prior to it being hijacked. She could see Young Allison viewed everything intently. Based on what she was able to see, it appeared the female in the video was very pleased she was being photographed. The drone was well on its way to the target area at this point
"The small drone is almost there." Anna said.
Young Allison was doubtful of the outcome. She'd taken steps to do a little more. The trouble was, it was going to take a little longer for her contribution to arrive.
"I don't think it's big enough." Young Allison said. "Where's the self driving vehicle at?"
Anna checked. It appeared on the satellite map with the drone footage overlay.
"CamNet has appropriated one and it's on the way." Anna said. "It's still a few minutes out. CamNet is controlling it instead of letting it drive itself."
Young Allison wanted to know how the interrogations were progressing.
"What information has been learned from the detained men?" Young Allison asked.
Things were pretty much as they suspected they would be.
"One is a drug addict and the other two are vagrants. They're homeless." Anna said. "All were given money, phones and instructions by a man with a limp."
Young Allison hoped to find a match. She wanted to see if another one of her suspicions would play out.
"Let me see the enhanced imagery of the man in the stairwell before the missile hit." Young Allison said.
They both watched the man in the stairwell with thermal imagery.
Anna was more than a little surprised at what she'd detected. It definitely appeared Young Allison made the correct call again. The call was made without the verification of the limp as part of the equation.
"He has a limp." Anna said.
Young Allison felt justified in her actions.
"It looks like he has a sniper rifle too." Young Allison said. "It is hard for me to tell but it is slung over his back."
Anna agreed with the visual assessment.
"Yes." Anna said. "It appears you selected a valid target."
Young Allison was playfully combative.
"You doubted me?" Young Allison asked.
Anna wanted to make sure CamNet forwarded all the information to John Henry. She felt it was something important. She didn't like the fact Young Allison acted without direct input from John Henry at the time. She wanted him to know things seemed to play out as Young Allison indicated they would.
"I wasn't sure." Anna said. "CamNet has relayed all this information and imagery to John Henry. It should ease his trepidations about your actions."
Young Allison wanted to show some compassion to the men used as 'patsies'.
"See that the three men are all put on a separate bus and sent out of the state in different directions. I would prefer different states for their destinations as well." Young Allison said.
Anna wasn't sure how to say a new revelation which was passed to her, so she just said it.
"The two homeless men are 'involved'." Anna said.
Young Allison responded without hesitation. She understood what it meant.
"They may remain together." Young Allison said. "Relationships are important, especially loving ones."
Anna pondered the events so far for the evening.
"I don't believe John and Savannah would have made all the same decisions you've made tonight." Anna said.
Young Allison looked at Anna and smiled. She saw things a little differently.
"Cameron would have." Young Allison said.
Anna tilted her head slightly.
"I think you're right." Anna said.
Young Allison was unsure of one thing. It was something that bothered her more than a little.
"Would Cameron have terminated the three men?" Young Allison asked.
Anna thought so but wasn't sure. She didn't think Cameron would have hesitated in the past. Cameron evolved somewhat since she'd first arrived in the present. Savannah exhibited a big influence on Cameron over the years as to some of her actions.
"I really don't know." Anna said. "Maybe the drug addict she would have terminated. They'll do anything for the drugs."
Young Allison made another decision. She was aware of some past action which was taken by Cameron and Savannah.
"Arrange for a drug rehab facility in the city he's sent to. I want him picked up for involuntary treatment and admission. Make it 'official'." Young Allison said. "Have a community outreach program reach out to the two homeless men in the city they arrive in. Pay for everything for all three of them. The Syndicate can foot the bill. Some of the blood money can be used for something productive. I'm willing to offer the three men a second chance at their lives. What they choose to do afterwards is up to them."
Anna was surprised. She thought it would have been later in Young Allison's 'conditioning' before she would have made a decision like this. Cameron would be pleased with the decisions. She believed Savannah would be even more pleased. It would be clear to all of them things could have ended differently for the three men.
"CamNet is making the arrangements now." Anna said. "That's very magnanimous of you."
Young Allison wasn't done with the retribution yet.
"This won't be." Young Allison said. "Have the authorities raid the two gangs with solid 'informant' tips about weapons and drugs they'll find at both of those locations."
Anna was aware the justice system was a complete failure under the new leadership. For some unknown reason, the District Attorney didn't believe criminals were responsible for their actions nor should they be punished. Somehow in their head, they believed conditions and circumstances were what was responsible, not the actual actions of the perpetrator. She really wondered how victims figured into the District Attorney's line of thought. She recently became aware of a book which stipulated 'liberalism is a mental disorder'. When she looked at pictures of grieving families on the TV news of the victims, she couldn't disagree. She wanted to point out the futility of Young Allison's request.
"It may take some of them off the streets for a while." Anna said. "They'll be back."
Young Allison was willing to give them a chance to repent before the retribution.
"The other choice is to pit the two gangs against each other." Young Allison said. "It will be the next step once they're released from incarceration if they return to the same lifestyle. They can kill each other."
Anna wondered if it shouldn't be the first choice. She did like the fact Young Allison was willing to give some people a second chance.
"It will be so." Anna said. "CamNet has made all the arrangements. Everything is 'official'."
Young Allison nodded. She continued to track the progress of the small drone. It appeared things were about to come to a head
"The small drone is almost there." Young Allison said. "Let's see what happens."
Vanna and Allison returned to Riley's room with Precious once they left the commissary.
"Are you going to put her to bed?" Allison asked.
Vanna felt it was too early.
"Not yet." Vanna said. "I think I'll need to feed her and change her one more time."
Allison was a little worried about one thing. She didn't feel it had been resolved satisfactorily yet.
"What about Samantha?" Allison asked.
Vanna glanced over at the nursery door. She felt she'd made her position clear earlier that Samantha could join them when they went to the commissary or for anything else.
"She may join us at any time." Vanna said. "I don't see any reason why she can't."
Allison thought there might be a problem associated with the current situation.
"If she is in standby, how's she going to do that?" Allison asked.
Vanna felt really bad about Samantha and taking over all her functions. She wasn't sure she was the best one to handle the current situation.
"Do you want to get her?" Vanna asked. "I feel like I'm stepping on her toes."
Allison reminded Savannah about what she wanted.
"You did say you wanted to do everything." Allison said.
Vanna just wanted to see if she could do everything on her own. From the time she taken over for Riley, it didn't seem as if it was a problem for her. She was actually quite bored there was so little to do.
"I know others want to help." Vanna said. "When we have our baby, it will be just us."
Allison wondered if it was ever going to happen. With so many failures it seemed like it never would. She still didn't know her mother carried her child. She couldn't help but feel a little guilty about their Metal girlfriends.
"What about Cam and Holly?" Allison asked. "Don't tell me Jan and Summer can use a 'guardian'."
Vanna was a little concerned about the subject herself.
"I won't tell you." Vanna said. "Precious already has one."
Allison needed to question the way things were done and how they ended up. She really thought Samantha should have used Riley's DNA, instead of her mother's DNA for the current situation.
"I thought my mother wanted Samantha to have her DNA to be there for Young Allison and Summer in her image." Allison said. "Samantha still needs to finish her new sheath appearance. I don't think it will be much longer."
Vanna didn't know what Cameron planned long-range. It seemed Samantha would be a guardian for Precious and not for Jan or Summer.
"Plans change." Vanna said. "I really don't know what any long term things are going to be. We all know the future isn't set in stone."
Allison was aware it was impossible to make any long range plans in the future. She thought things would be a little more stable in the present but apparently they weren't.
"I guess everything is fluid." Allison said.
Vanna looked at the nursery door again. She felt extremely guilty and upset about herself.
"I'm going to get Samantha." Vanna said. "She's in standby in the nursery because she misses Precious. I feel really bad about it now."
Vanna handed Precious to Allison and then headed for the nursery. She didn't want Samantha to feel like a 'second class' Terminator. She thought she should have shown more consideration and compassion sooner. She didn't feel she was being selfish. She just wanted to see what it was like to be with an infant on her own. It reminded her even the best intentions could still hurt someone without even trying to do that.
Cold Feet
One can learn how to lead
They can also take a backseat
One leads to an advance
The other is a retreat
There's no victory
When one faces defeat
Along the way there
They often face deceit
What does it take
To make one complete
Can they achieve it
Without any conceit
Very few events in life
Play out nice and neat
The prize at hand
Isn't often sweet
What should be simple
Turns into a big feat
When one loses their nerve
And gets cold feet
Nobody
