Chapter 1187

Watch And Learn

Young Allison looked at her food. She was very thankful to get a treat. It had been a long day and she'd only eaten a granola bar and drank some water all day. She knew it was insufficient nourishment. She wanted to eat the same foods Savannah ate when she was on a mission. She wanted to prepare herself for how it would be when she started operations.

It didn't look like what she was about to eat was much better. It did guarantee she would eat. She figured it was the whole point. It was food she liked. Even if it wasn't the healthiest food, she was still going to eat it. Nutrition was nutrition even, if it wasn't the best nutrition.

There was a cheeseburger, onion rings and two malts. One was 'double strawberry'. The other one was 'chocolate peanut butter cup'.

"That's a lot of food." Young Allison said.

Anna pointed at the other bag.

"There's one more bag." Anna said.

Young Allison didn't think she could eat all of the food herself.

"Are you going to help me with all this?" Young Allison asked.

Anna looked at the two malts. She was always up for a taste of ice cream.

"I'll try some of each of the malts." Anna said. "Check out the other bag."

Young Allison opened the other one. She was a little taken back. It wasn't what she'd expected after looking at the other food.

"There's a salad too?" Young Allison asked.

Anna hoped the roughage would keep things 'moving'.

"There's nothing like a balanced meal." Anna said. "You now have all four food groups."

Young Allison thought a cheeseburger contained all four food groups.

"I figured the tomato, lettuce and cheese on the burger covered it all." Young Allison said. "Plus there's the meat and the bun."

Anna tilted her head lightly.

"Technically that's true. A tomato by definition is a botanical fruit, even though it's thought of as a vegetable." Anna said.

Young Allison hoped to use the analogy of the four food groups in the past when they were there. It was when burgers and fries were really unhealthy.

"Remember all of those things whenever I want a burger." Young Allison said. "The 'double strawberry' malt helps with the fruit and dairy aspect of it too. As far as a tomato really being a fruit by definition, I'll pass on a tomato malt."

Anna tilted her head slightly the other direction. She thought it would be interesting to try one time. Since there was sugar added to most of the different flavors of ice cream, she believed it would assist with the flavor of the tomato as a tomato malt.

Young Allison could see Anna was thinking about a tomato malt. She wanted to reaffirm her earlier position.

"The tomato malt's not happening." Young Allison said.

Anna wanted to make sure the salad was consumed.

"You'll still eat your salad with the light balsamic dressing on it." Anna said. "There are additional tomatoes mixed in with it."

The smell and sight of the food made Young Allison realize how hungry she was. She didn't think she would eat everything in one setting. She would probably put some of it in the refrigerator and consume it tomorrow. She might even have some of it for breakfast. She would have to see what was left over.

"I'll eat some." Young Allison said. "I'm hungry."

Young Allison offered an onion ring to Anna. She agreed to try a small taste.

Anna wanted to try a sip of both malts first.

Young Allison liked to share with Anna. Anna normally only tried a taste of things. Anna added the ingredients as she broke them down to her database. She was sure it was so Anna could tell her why something was 'bad' later on.

She started in on her food. Someone could tell her later on how it was bad for her and unhealthy. Right now she saw things a little differently. The food was good and there was a lot of it. Savannah currently enjoyed a similar selection.

Cammy and Cam each tried one bite of a fry as Cammy headed for the Resistance base.

"The fry was very salty." Cam said. "It set off several warnings on my HUD."

Savannah figured all the food would set off warnings of some type.

"Wait until you try a taste of the burger." Savannah said. "I'm sure it will set off a few more."

Cammy noticed Savannah hadn't touched the burger.

"Are you going to eat the burger now?" Cammy asked.

Savannah learned the hard way that cold fries didn't cut it.

"I'll finish the fries first. They're no good cold or warmed over." Savannah said.

Cam was pleased to hear Savannah say the same thing about cold French fries as Vanna did.

"Do you want a sip of my malt?" Savannah asked.

Cam and Cammy each tried a sip.

"I thought it was good." Cammy said.

Cam agreed with Cammy. She added a little additional insight.

"It was fine." Cam said. "I prefer it to the fries. I received fewer warning messages."

Savannah tried a sip.

"I think the malts are better from the malt shop by Young Allison's place." Savannah said. "This one tastes good anyway."

Cammy checked her reference files from her prior visits. The ingredients were nearly identical.

"They're very similar in their make up." Cammy said.

Savannah couldn't really explain it. The selection was better too.

"True, but they're just different." Savannah said. "They have more flavor choices too."

Cam wanted to make sure the burger was the right one.

"The burger CamNet ordered for you is no longer on the menu." Cam said. "I looked at the menu when I went in. When they told me what it was when they gave me the order, I thought CamNet ordered it special for you."

It was sort of a special order.

"They took it off the menu a while back but they still make it on request. It's basically a tangy barbecue sauce on a cheeseburger." Savannah said. "I didn't know CamNet knew I ordered it before."

It didn't surprise Cam.

"I'm sure there is a lot about you CamNet knows." Cam said.

Cammy needed to agree with Cam. She was aware CamNet was 'everywhere'. She would give Savannah a reminder even if she didn't think it was necessary.

"Remember, CamNet knows 'everything'." Cammy said.

Savannah knew the information available to CamNet. She would know everything Cameron did, plus a whole lot more.

"I guess she does." Savannah said. "She has a copy of all your programs so she knows everything both of you know too."

Cammy looked at Savannah and frowned.

"I don't know if I like that." Cammy said.

Savannah wanted to quell Cammy's fears. There were some safety parameters which were put in place. She'd specifically asked for some restraint in certain regards.

"CamNet isn't supposed to access personal things unless there's some type of emergency." Savannah said.

Savannah wasn't sure if CamNet would follow all the rules or not. She believed she would follow most of them. Everyone possessed a certain amount of curiosity. There were times she'd looked at things she probably shouldn't have because she was curious. She was sure CamNet would do the same thing. She couldn't really blame her for being curious either. It was what she did with the information that would matter. Either way CamNet still possessed the information in her files.

Cammy wondered when Savannah was going to go there. It wasn't something she wanted to happen but she knew it was going to. She knew Savannah needed to and she knew why.

"Speaking of personal things, are you going to see her?" Cammy asked.

Savannah didn't like to talk about CamNet in front of Cammy. It really was no different than her being with Cam or Camille for all practical purposes. There were several things she needed to take care of first.

"Yes." Savannah said. "I considered going tonight but it's late. I know Cam wants to spend time with me tonight."

Cammy did as well. She understood why Cam wanted to be with Savannah. Cam was grateful Savannah prevented her from being terminated earlier in the evening.

"I do too." Cammy said. "I'll see what the other girls are up to."

There were other obligations Savannah needed to address.

"I need to see Young Allison a few times this week too." Savannah said. "It's very important to me and to Young Allison."

She felt it should be her top priority. She needed to fulfill her other obligations as well.

Cammy understood their relationship must never be hindered. She would rather keep Savannah away from Cameron. She would gladly take her to visit CamNet as well as Young Allison.

"I can take you." Cammy said.

Cam would take her too if Cammy couldn't. She could understand the apprehension and tension Cammy felt.

"I can too." Cam said.

Savannah didn't want them to jump the gun. She may be eating some food now so it didn't get cold before they returned to the base, but they still hadn't returned to the base.

"I want to make sure there's no more enemy activity before we get back to the base." Savannah said.

Cam and Cammy both checked.

"John Henry reports all is clear." Cam said.

Cammy double checked to make sure.

"CamNet has made the same assessment." Cammy said.

Savannah folded up the empty bag the fries were in and took another sip of her malt.

"In that case, I guess I can eat my burger then." Savannah said.

Since the fries were gone, Savannah saw no reason to wait.

"I thought you were going to wait until we got back." Cam said.

Savannah was hungry.

"I was." Savannah said.

She offered a bite to Cam and Cammy. They each tried a small taste.

"It was good." Cammy said.

Savannah took a bite out of her Sunset burger.

Cam was still not sure why Savannah changed her mind. She wondered if she'd missed something.

"I thought so too." Cam said. "Why did you change your mind?"

Savannah wanted to be ready for any other activity.

"I want to be done with my food before we get back." Savannah said.

Savannah's answer was still confusing to Cam.

"Why?" Cam asked.

Savannah looked at Cammy and tried not to smile as she looked back at Cam.

"I still have a 'taco' to eat." Savannah said.

Cam tilted her head slightly.

"There were none in the order." Cam said. "I check it myself."

Cammy giggled.

Cam looked at her and wondered why.

"What's so funny?" Cam asked.

Cammy was well acquainted with Savannah's terminology.

"She's talking about YOUR 'taco'." Cammy said.

Savannah smiled at both of them.

"She said it, not me." Savannah said.

Now Cam wished she was driving so they could get back to the base quicker. She looked directly at Cammy.

"In that case, can you drive faster?" Cam asked.

Cammy glanced at Savannah and increased her speed.

Cammy and Cam often traded between Vanna and Savannah. It was something the four of them enjoyed. It really was the same two individuals anyway, even if there were four of them.

Earlier:

Sheila, Ally and Hanna left the others behind in the sky lounge. They were going to go to the smaller theater at the back of deck seven. The elevator was waiting for them when they walked up to it. The door opened without them pushing any buttons. It closed as soon as they entered. Deck seven lit up on the control panel and the elevator started to move. No one had pushed any buttons inside the elevator either.

"I can see that Jim or CamNet is watching out for us." Hanna said.

Sheila wanted to give whoever it was something to think about. She briefly lifted her dress up over her waist and flashed the security camera.

Ally didn't want any trouble.

"Don't push it." Ally said.

Sheila didn't think it was a big deal. She was tempted to get off on the deck where the buffet was at to see if the older couple was still there. They probably weren't because it had been long enough for them to finish their meal. She looked for them in the sky lounge but hadn't spotted them either. Maybe she would see them in the smaller theater.

The elevator continued on its journey and didn't stop anywhere else along the way. The girls exited and went around to the backside of the elevators They were now in the small theater to watch the Rockabilly Trio play. They were going to watch them play the instruments and then emulate them later on. It wasn't so much they were going to learn to play the instruments as it was to copy and reenact the trio's actions. Once they heard a song after they knew what notes the different chords or strings produced, they would be able to copy and play it too. They would also remember how the trio played by watching them.

She looked over the musical instruments again.

"I'm going to play the bass." Sheila said. "It's almost as big as me."

Hanna made her selection.

"I'll do the drums." Hanna said.

Ally was pleased she would be able to play the instrument she wanted.

"I guess that leaves me with the guitar." Ally said.

Hanna wasn't sure if Ally was content with everything. She offered a solution.

"We can watch all of them play and switch later on." Hanna said.

Sheila was all for that on a different level. She made a point to look at Ally and Hanna.

"I like to switch." Sheila said.

Ally wanted to clarify the current situation.

"She's talking about the instruments, not partners." Ally said.

Sheila was ready for both of them. It seemed easy enough.

"We can do both." Sheila said.

There were a few people sitting down waiting for the performance to begin. So far the musicians hadn't arrived.

The Metal girls spent some time eyeballing the females who were in the room. It was clear they all thought about some potential partners.

Ally kept an eye on Sheila.

"You can look but I don't want you to touch." Ally said.

Sheila planned to take advantage of what Cameron said she would allow on the ship.

"I'm not looking for trouble." Sheila said. "I'm looking for a little 'extra' without any strings attached. This is a rare opportunity for all of us. Most of the females on this ship are a little bit higher class than the ones we deal with on Cameron's off the books operations. Most of those females are 'used up'. They have a one way ticket to nowhere."

Hanna looked over the females as well. She agreed with Sheila's assessment.

"We will still need to scan them anyway." Hanna said. "I don't want any surprises for Claire."

Sheila didn't think it would be a problem. She figured a lot of the females were probably recreational drug users but they weren't drug addicts. Some of them might end up on that path at a later date. There was no way to tell.

"I just want to use them and then lose them." Sheila said.

Ally really wondered if it could be that simple.

"What happens if you get attached to one of them or even some of them?" Ally asked.

Sheila figured they could always be terminated if they became a problem. She didn't think it was a good idea to mention it now.

"I don't think it will happen." Sheila said.

Hanna wasn't so sure. Sheila and Ally didn't have human lovers like most of the Metal girls did. It was easy to become attached to a human female as a lover.

"You don't have anyone to keep you in check." Hanna said.

Sheila was about to respond when the Rockabilly Trio arrived and went to their instruments.

They watched as the musicians turned on the amps and other electrical equipment.

"They're getting ready to start." Ally said.

The Rockabilly Trio each selected their instrument

"Look, they're tuning the instruments." Hanna said.

The girls all carefully watched and listened. They believed they could all do the same thing.

"Now we know how to sound like them." Ally said.

Sheila knew they needed to learn to play together the same way the musicians would play together. Even though they each had their own instrument, they would still play them all as one unit.

"It's time to watch and learn." Sheila said.

Hanna was going to make a joke because Young Allison seemed to do a lot of it but decided not to. She didn't want to excite Sheila this early. Ally probably would be excited as well. The more she thought about it herself, the more excited she became. She was always thrilled to have someone watch her when she was with Claire, Allison or Holly at the Young residence. It was mostly Young Allison. Allison was there sometimes. Summer started to make appearances as well. She was much harder to detect than either Allison was. She really hoped whoever watched her was able to learn.

Holly heard what Cameron said about taking the team down to deck seven. She wanted to get ahead of them and make sure everything was clear. She knew it was unnecessary while the ship was at sea. She still felt she needed to do her assignment. She exited the sky lounge and headed for the elevator bank. As she approached, an elevator door opened. As soon as she went in it closed behind her. There were several individuals that hurried to try to get in but the door closed before they were even close. She was about to push deck seven when the light came on and the elevator started moving on its own. She realized she was going to have some assistance. She rode the elevator down. The door opened. She exited the elevator on deck seven, the Promenade deck. There were no visible threats. She didn't think that there would be but she still wanted to do her job. She was aware the rest of the team would be down shortly.

Everything was calm. There were a few people moving around. She looked towards the smaller theater in the back. The band was tuning their instruments. She spotted Sheila, Ally and Hanna observing the Rockabilly Trio.

She went on a loose patrol of the area. She took up a good observation point.

Another elevator opened and Cameron and John walked out followed by the others. Gail brought up the rear.

Gail noted where Holly was at and moved to the other side. She could give the group maximum protection this way.

Earlier:

On the elevator ride down, Cameron explained there were several things to do on deck seven, the Promenade deck.

Cameron gave the group a run down.

There was a live band about to play in the small theater. They could walk around the entire ship on deck seven on both the inside and the outside. It was an open deck. It was the deck the lifeboats would be lowered to for boarding. There were also several of the small specialty restaurants located on the level along with some shops. There were several lounges and the main theater was at the front.

Riley wanted to look in the shops. There were multiple flyers and brochures in their suite about them. She'd spotted a lot of nice things they offered. Like everyone from the future, she didn't acquire many possessions. They were a liability in the future. People who tried to retrieve them were often killed or captured. She still could recognize beauty and beautiful things. It never hurt to look.

"Can I look in the shops?" Riley asked.

Derek was a little surprised to hear her request. Riley seldom looked at anything when they went out. He'd seen all the brochures in the room as well. It was hard to believe some of the items were available on a ship at sea.

Cameron looked at Riley and smiled. She wanted her to get something for herself.

"Yes." Cameron said. "Feel free to get anything. Just show them your card. Anything in the store will be yours."

Riley didn't want to over do it. She felt a little self conscious.

"I don't know if I'll get anything. I just want to look." Riley said. "I never go into a jewelry store or one with fine clothing when we're at home. It's mainly curiosity."

Cameron didn't see it as a problem.

"Show them your card. They'll show you anything or everything." Cameron said. "There will be no questions asked other than how they can assist you."

Kyle spotted Derek look towards the closest specialty restaurant.

"I bet Derek wants to try one of the specialty restaurants before we turn in." Kyle said.

Derek didn't see any harm to look.

"I just want to see what's on the menu." Derek said. "Tell me you don't."

John wanted to remind everyone they were free to go wherever they wanted at any time.

"Everyone can do what they want." John said. "There are a lot of things to see and check out. You only have a few days."

Cameron wanted them to use their room key cards. They were good for anything on the ship.

"Just flash your card and you will have total service." Cameron said. "If you see something you want, use your card. You will be given priority service in any of the specialty restaurants too."

The music started to play in the small theater. It seemed to catch all of their attention.

Sarah instantly liked the sound of the trio. The hard hitting beat was enticing.

"The music will liven things up." Sarah said. "I'm going to check it out."

Kyle followed Sarah into the small theater. He was always interested in anything Sarah was interested in. Many things in the past, the present, were unfamiliar to him still. Sarah was his guide for everything.

Derek and Riley followed them in. They knew the shops and restaurants wouldn't go anywhere. They could check them out at any time.

John and Cameron were alone right now.

Cameron wanted to make it known to John there were several options open to him. If he wanted to go back to the suite, she was OK with it as well.

"Do you want to join them or walk around the outside of the ship?" Cameron asked. "We can go wherever you want and do whatever you want."

John looked at the glass doors that went outside and the entryway of the rear theater. The decision was easy.

"We can do both." John said. "You decide what you want to do first. It'll be just like dancing. You'll lead and I'll follow."

Cameron liked the idea. She figured the suite was out for right now. She was aware John would only be able to perform so much anyway.

"We'll go to the theater first then." Cameron said. "I want to make sure Riley stops at the shops too. I hope she finds something nice for herself."

John thought it was really thoughtful of Cameron. She never ceased to amaze him.

They followed Derek and Riley inside the rear lounge.

Holly moved to follow them in.

Gail remained by the entrance. She conducted a scan of all the patrons around her. None were a threat. It was how she liked it. She did a continuous scan to search for the older couple or the individual that disrespected Cameron in the buffet area. She glanced towards the glass doors that led to the open deck. She smiled to herself and she continued her scan of all the people around where she was at. She didn't think it would be too hard to lure anyone outside. It was a short walk to the rear of the ship. Davy Jones' Locker always had room for a few more.

Claire felt something bump into her, she briefly awoke. It was Jesse snuggling up to her. It was something she'd missed. It was a warm female body clinging to hers as they slept. Back in Palmdale she didn't make Hanna or Holly stay after she fell asleep. Jesse was different. It was a very satisfying feeling.

When she spent time with Vanna or Savannah, they weren't there to sleep.

Right now things were different.

Claire drew Jesse closer and fell back asleep.

Summer watched through the gap in the door. It was too quiet for her tonight. It troubled her. She'd been watching Jan sleep and her mother and Jesse sleep. It looked so peaceful with both of them holding each other close and sleeping. She wondered if they could feel each other's heart beating.

She took out her book and headed for the bathroom. She thought maybe if she studied for a while she would feel more comfortable. There would be more thoughts in her head if she studied. She felt the need to learn more.

She really missed the voices and information. They always seemed to be there between her dreams.

John Henry checked everything again. There was no new activity detected anywhere. It was good and it was bad.

The Terminator they brought down came from somewhere. He tried to backtrack the movements of the motorcycle with the Terminator on it. He couldn't come up with a definitive answer. The enemy groups always seemed to just appear. He didn't know if they had a good hiding place or if they were freshly from the future.

He was aware CamNet worked nonstop on the problem too. She didn't indicate she was able to show any success either.

John Henry checked the security cameras around the base. Everything was quiet. Cammy's team should be back shortly. He was glad Savannah was out of any more action for the night. Well, there shouldn't be any more combat action for her tonight. There would probably be plenty of other action.

He was worried about Savannah. Cameron pushed her too hard. Savannah always accepted the challenge. She never shied away from one or backed down. He'd viewed the footage of Savannah in action. It was very disturbing to him. She did everything like she was trained and exceeded her training. Even in the face of death she never caved or buckled. Even with the Terminators incapacitated, she took the fight to the enemy. Savannah more than once held her ground when everyone else was down. She stayed in the fight and made sure everyone was protected.

John Henry was aware Cameron personally trained Young Allison for every scenario she could come up with. Her training was nonstop. He personally thought it was excessive. He knew the reason. Cameron wanted to make Young Allison the human version of herself. When combat did come to Young Allison, he knew she would be ready. She would face it as Cameron did and respond accordingly.

Cameron told him she wanted to be with Young Allison when she first entered combat as she was with Savannah. He didn't see any reason why that scenario couldn't play out. He thought it was good. He was there with Cameron on Savannah's first few operations as well. He would volunteer to do the same for Young Allison.

There were still two drones running recon around Cammy's SUV. The area was clear. They were back at the base and about to park in the carpool.

He wondered who would spend the night with Savannah or at least part of the night with her. It wasn't supposed to be his concern. He still wondered about it. Savannah was very popular. It appeared Claire was too. He wondered if anyone had a choice between Savannah or Claire, which one they would pick first. He believed it would be Savannah. He wasn't sure though. Claire was very popular.

He decided to see what was happening on the ship. CamNet provided him with access to all the cameras on the ship. He updated with Jim. Bob gave him a report. Everything was going smoothly so far.

John Henry looked around, everything was quiet.

Past experience indicated it usually meant something big was about to happen. Maybe something was going on right now and they didn't know about it. It seemed to be the case on several occasions.

There was a saying about 'the quiet before the storm'. Maybe it was true.

Samantha watched Vanna and Allison. She watched Precious too. It's what she often did anyway. She spent hours watching Precious sleep. It was better than going into standby. Even when she did go into standby, she programmed herself to reactivate at regular intervals.

Vanna rolled over and the sheet slid off her breasts. She reached for Allison and they snuggled closer together. They looked so content to be in each other's company. It was something the two long time lovers shared for years. It was so easy and natural for them to fall back into their old habits. Nothing felt better in their arms than each other.

She wanted to be with them again but saw they needed their rest. Vanna wasn't getting much sleep so far. Maybe she would help out anyway and change Precious if she needed it. She could always hold her too, she often did it during the night.

Samantha thought about carrying the crib with, Precious in it, back to her room. It was the logical thing to do. Vanna might not understand she was trying to help her sleep. She didn't want to upset or anger Vanna. She didn't like to be around angry people.

Her scans showed Precious needed to be changed. She would start to cry in a few seconds. She quickly and silently changed her and Precious never really woke up much. She looked at Vanna and Allison sleeping as she changed Precious. They didn't wake up either.

She was pleased she could do her job and Vanna was able to remain asleep.

There was some noise in the hall outside. She heard Savannah return with Cammy and Cam. She thought about going out to see them and see if she could hook up with any or all of them.

There was her strong desire to be with three 'new' females or she could stay and do her job and watch over Precious.

She looked at the door to the hall and back at Precious.

Samantha decided to go into standby next to Precious.

Some things were more important.

Savannah was glad to be back home. She thought the base looked deserted.

"Where is everyone?" Savannah asked.

Cammy and Cam looked at each other.

"I don't know." Cammy said. "There are a lot of our personnel on the ship."

Cam checked with John Henry and received a rundown where everyone was at. She told Savannah. It gave Savannah the option to make several other choices for comfort.

It looked like everyone was paired off for the night already.

Savannah didn't think it would be a problem. She already planned to be with Cam tonight.

"I need to get cleaned up." Savannah said. "You can both join me."

Cam wanted to do that.

"I will." Cam said.

Cammy wanted to give them some space, at least to start out with.

"I need to check on a few things." Cammy said. "I'll join you in a little while."

Cammy gave Cam the opportunity to be alone with Savannah for a few hours. She could tell Cam really wanted to be with Savannah after the events of earlier tonight. It was OK with her. She switched with Cam at least two nights a week anyway. It was a relationship they all agreed upon and enjoyed.

It was CamNet that worried her. CamNet wanted more and Savannah was the only one she could turn to. It was an arrangement Savannah made CamNet agree to. Everyone understood everyone's obligations to the future and the 'Natural Order'.

Cammy wondered what would happen to her in the end of all of it. She didn't want to worry about it right now. She would check on the other pairs of girls and see what was happening. There might be room for one more….

She left Cam and Savannah at her room.

Cammy stopped by and listened outside Riley's room. Vanna and Allison were in there. It was quiet. She was told Samantha was in there as well. More than likely if she opened the door she would be greeted by Samantha within seconds. She headed for Claire's room. Jesse and Claire were in there. It was quiet as well. Those both looked like a dead end for now.

She stopped at Summer's room and listened. It was quiet too.

She carefully opened the door and went in. Jan was asleep in one of the beds, the other bed was empty.

She would have been alarmed by Summer's absence if Cameron hadn't told her what to expect. Cameron also instructed her what she was to do. She moved to the bathroom and looked in. Summer was asleep with her head resting on an open book.

Cammy leaned down and began to whisper in Summer's ear.

A slight smile briefly showed on Summer's face as Cammy began to whisper.

The voices in the night were back. Her mind was ready to absorb more. It was very comforting to Summer.

Watch And Learn

Some are very smug
They think they know it all
The more contrite they are
The greater is the fall

They have all the answers
None of them are correct
Away from themselves
Their shortcomings they try to direct

They would rather argue
Than listen to reason
They can't understand
It's to themselves they commit treason

The truth is the truth
It doesn't ever change
Why they refuse to believe it
Seems rather strange

One needs to be stern
So the other won't spurn
All they need to do
Is watch and learn

Nobody
