The next few days go by rather slowly in Azura's opinion. Without school, the days just feel quite long to her. Plus, the autobots have been working hard to repair everything around the base, which has been taking longer than they would have wanted, due to the amount of damage the scraplets had done in such a short period of time. But Azura did find painting and drawing really did help. She was focusing on painting the image of Celeste, and when she had shown Optimus what she was painting, he had a strange expression on his face. Azura noticed it. It was like he was shocked, but he was trying so hard to hide it. Despite how good Optimus was keeping his emotions in check, Azura was picking up on subtle changes and it made her rather aware of a lot of things in his mind.
It was now Friday afternoon, and Azura was waiting for Bulkhead, Arcee and Bumblebee to get back to the base with Jack, Miko and Raf. She was watching Brave on the TV right now and she was eating a small tub of ice cream. Well, it wasn't small, but Azura had swiped it from the freezer and she was eating it. It was a chocolate ice cream she was eating right now. Ratchet and Optimus did give her a surprised expression, but she ignored them. It has been a while since she has eaten anything, and since she would not get fat, she felt it was perfectly fine to eat it.
Arcee walked into the lobby with a huff as she had finished helping Bee with something in one of the storage rooms and she looked over at Azura. She looked at the screen of the TV to see that Saphira was watching the scene of Merida and her mother catching salmon in the river. "I see you are really enjoying that movie," She commented with a smile. "I didn't get a chance to ask what it is about."
Azura glanced at Arcee as she put a spoonful of ice cream into her mouth. "I am. It kind of reminds me of myself and daddy." She looked back at the screen with a smile. "The story is about a princess who is fed up with being a princess because of how strict her mother is about her learning to be a leader. Merida is headstrong, like her father, while her mother is also headstrong in other ways. They do not hear each other, especially when Merida learns she's to be married off to a prince she doesn't know." Arcee was quite intrigued by the story as she listened to her. "It comes to ahead when Merida challenges her mother, which causes a breaking point between them and Merida tries to change it by asking help from a witch. It doesn't go as planned as her mother is turned into a bear, and as they try to reverse the spell, they reconnect and establish a stronger bond by the end of the movie."
"Huh, I see…but you and Optimus had a very different experience, Azura. I can see the similarities, but I do disagree that you and him had the same experience." Arcee looked at the screen for a moment before checking the time. "I'll be heading into Jasper shortly to pick up Jack. Did you want us to stop by the aquarium?"
Azura thought about it for a moment and nodded. "Um…" She placed the ice cream down and grabbed a pen and paper. "I do need some filter parts, let me right down what I need and the part codes for them." She wrote down what she needed and folded the paper. "I also need more tropical flakes and algae wafers. I don't need anything else."
"Right." Arcee had no clue on what Azura had just said, but she made no comment about it. "I will give that to Jack so he knows what to get." She nodded before handing Arcee the paper. "And I see you have been gorging yourself on ice cream."
Azura smiled at her with a shrug, grabbing the tub and spoon to resume eating. "I can still eat and process it, Arcee. And I do not feel full."
"I think it might spoil your appetite for low-grade. I am sure you are meant to have that soon." Azura shrugged as she kept her optics watching the screen. "If you want Jack to buy any treats, I can take him to the supermarket."
"No thanks, I just need fish stuff." Azura put another spoonful of ice cream into her mouth. "I honestly think I will just let him decide to bring whatever food that he wants. I just want to use up what I bought before it goes bad."
"Alright, I understand." Arcee sighed deeply and turned her head as she heard Optimus walking into the lobby. "I think she's going to have sticky lips after eating all that ice cream."
Azura frowned at them. "It is only a litre tub of ice cream. Look…" She tilts the tub to show that there were only a few spoonful's left. "I am almost done."
"You are very lucky that Cybertronians do not get overweight, Azura," Arcee said with a light chuckle. "I kind of get you are bored. You want to let out that energy, but we can give you stuff to do. I know you don't seem interested in any toys, aside from the stuffed toys, but you should find something else to do. Especially to let out that extra energy."
"I tried to see if Ratchet would let me and Bee play tag, but he wouldn't allow it," Azura responded with a frown. "I would have had a lot of fun running around. Even no hide and seek!"
"Azura, the reason why Ratchet denied you and Bumblebee is because the base still needs repair. I am fully aware that most of the base is safe, but until we have finished, it is best to wait until we give you the all clear." Azura just looked back at the screen after listening to Optimus. He smiled at her gently as she finished off the ice cream. "I promise to allow you to play those games once it is safe."
"Mmm…still…I want to do something else than just paint, watch TV, watch the fish and hug my plush toys. I had hoped something like that would be better, but I'll wait, daddy." Azura placed the empty tub down and licked ice cream that had melted onto her fingers. "Could there be something else?"
"Optimus, one of the recreation rooms is safe," Arcee said softly as she looked at him. "We could make use of that. We don't need to hold Azura back. Besides, Bulkhead has been wanting to show her some wrecker games."
Optimus seemed to be somewhat alarmed by that development and he rolled his optics. "Wrecker games are very rough, Arcee. I trust Bulkhead, but he is stronger than Azura. He could hurt her unintentionally, and we would be dealing with mangled limbs. We don't want that."
"I doubt he will tackle her, Optimus. Something, like lobbing, could be something she could do. We would need a much smaller lob, though." Optimus seemed to be unconvinced, though Arcee just chuckled softly at him. "You can always interrogate him so you know what kind of games that Bulkhead wishes to show Azura."
"Hmm, I will consider that option. For now, Bulkhead is finishing with fixing the last of the energon fuel lines and he will be heading out to pick up Miko soon. Wrecker games can be shelved for the time being." Optimus looked at Azura with a smile. "Now that you have finished with that ice cream, would you like to do something while we wait? It won't be active, but there is a fun activity we can do together. They are building blocks that we can use to build things with…"
"Like Lego?" Azura asked curiously as she turned her head to look at him. Optimus was immediately confused by her question. "Lego are plastic blocks that can be used to build anything with. People can get super creative with the blocks and build ships or buildings or…well, anything. But they are also pretty deadly when you step on them."
Arcee chuckled in amusement as she listened. "Fascinating, I guess in a way, these blocks are like Lego. But they're metal. And yes, they can be pretty harsh to the feet when stepped on, even for us." Azura giggled softly and the femme looked up at Optimus. "I would say you might have found something to do."
Optimus nodded in agreement. "What do you think?"
"Well, I kind of want to finish the movie, daddy. I am halfway through it, and I generally don't like starting something, only to have to stop midway. I know that will probably happen. We can do that tomorrow." Optimus seemed a little disappointed, but he was pleased this was another activity that they can bond with. "You could probably watch the rest of the movie with me, daddy. It is a good movie."
He looked at the screen and looked back at Azura. "Thank you, Azura, I will consider it." He turned his head as Ratchet walked into the lobby with an energon cube. "How has the repairs to your lab been coming along?"
"Reasonable. I can pretty much go back to work whenever I want to, but I want to focus on the ground bridge now. With the fuel lines fixed, the conduits repaired, there is really only sensitive calculations and such that need to be done to the ground bridge to ensure it is safe to run." Ratchet sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck. "It has been pretty tiresome to be doing this, but I guess we have no choice. It isn't like we knew that the pod we found had scraplets."
"It is certainly no one's fault in this matter," Optimus said in agreement. "It was just an unfortunate incident. But we do not need to be concerned about it. We can only keep moving forward and working on repairing the base. We are not on a time limit."
"Thankfully, we have enough energon reserves as well, so we are not desperate." Ratchet looked are Azura and smiled a little. "I see she's keeping herself occupied. Good." He walked towards the ground bridge console. "Hopefully I should have the bridge up soon so you and Azura can go spend time together."
"That would be wonderful." Optimus moved to stand by the platform to continue watching the movie with Azura.
Bulkhead and Bumblebee enter the lobby after ten minutes before they leave with Arcee to pick the kids up after school. Optimus watched the movie with keen interest. The way Merida and her mother worked to try and break the spell, and how they bonded made him think of his bond with Azura. Though the two did not going through the same experience, it still made him feel emotions as he watched the movie. And Azura was thoroughly enjoying it too. There were amusing moments, but the end did make Azura very sad, and she almost cried as well. But she managed to not let the tears fall. She ended up wanting Optimus to hold her, and so he did while they finished the movie.
When the movie ended, Azura snuggled against Optimus's chassis as she enjoyed hearing the pulse of his spark. It was extremely comforting to her. "That movie was wonderful to watch, Azura." She smiled as she listened to him. "It even made me feel a little bit emotional. It made me think of you and I."
"Yeah…I knew it would. I am just glad that we have been able to work through it." Optimus nodded in agreement and Azura sat up when she heard familiar engines driving through the tunnel. "Oh! They're back! I hope Arcee and Jack got what I asked for."
Optimus turned to the tunnel as the three bots drive in with the kids. Azura smiled when she saw Jack getting off the bike and unzipping his bag to pull out a plastic bag. "I believe you need these, Azura." He pulled off his helmet and held up the bag, looking up at her with a smile. "The aquarium thankfully had everything you needed."
Optimus lowered Azura to the ground and she jumped out of his palm onto the ground. "Thank you." She ran over to the boy to take the bag and look in it. "This is exactly what I need. Oh! You water conditioner too? I didn't need that, but can never hurt to have more." She looked at Jack with a smile. "Thanks…" She paused when she saw Jack moving his bag behind his back and appeared to be rummaging through it. "Why are you hiding your hands?"
"No reason." Jack grinned at her and Azura got suspicious.
Arcee chuckled softly as she walked over to lean on the platform. Optimus was curious about what Jack was hiding and the femme looked at him. "Don't worry, it isn't anything dangerous."
"What do you say we play a videogame?" Bumblebee asked Raf as he back hand gestures on playing the racing game.
The boy grinned happily. "Great idea! I had a pretty tough day of tests, so I need to relax some. How about you and I race, Bee?" He chuckled softly as Miko looked surprised. "Sorry, Miko, how about Bee and I play for one round, then you and I can play?"
Miko shrugged with a bored expression. "It is okay. I was just thinking that Bulkhead and I should go do some dune bashing anyway." She looked at the bot with a smile. "What do you say? Let's get out of here and have some real fun."
"Uh, uh, uh!" Ratchet barked suddenly, shaking his head with a frown. "There are still a few things that need to be done around here. Your four are not going to be sitting and doing nothing while there's still some simple tasks that needing doing." Miko groaned loudly as she placed her hands on her hips. "Bulkhead, you and Miko can go and sort through the storage room. I went in there before and saw items all over the place from the scraplets. All you need to do is sort and put them back."
Bulkhead was unhappy about having to do chores, but he knew this base took priority over fun. "Very well. Come Miko…" He leaned down to pick the girl up. "This won't take too long. I saw it before, and it wasn't a big mess. We should be done in less than an hour."
"Ugh, fine…"
There was a sudden shriek that made everyone jump and look at Azura she had let out the high pitch shriek. "Oh, I love it, I love it, I love it!" She shouted excitedly as she snatched something from Jack's hand. It was a large Stitch plus. "He's so cute! And I love him!"
Optimus smiled as he relaxed as he watched Azura hug the blue, alien plush. He had known that Azura loved Stitch. She has watched Lilo and Stitch a few times during the week, and she always loved Stitch. Optimus did not understand the appeal at all. But she simply said that he was adorable, and misunderstood. Optimus guessed that something about the character simply resonated with her, or she really just liked the creature's appearance. Regardless, he did not expect Jack to gift Azura with a toy of the creature.
"I knew you would love it," Jack said with a big smile as Azura had a tight clutch to the toy. "I had noticed you didn't have a Stitch plush among all your friends, so I thought I would get you one."
Azura giggled happily. "Thank you so much, Jack. I really love this gift!" She walked away to head to the corridor. "Come with me, Jack! I want to put these away."
Jack was quick to follow Azura. He heard Miko complain suddenly, but he ignored her as he followed the girl. He could tell that Azura was very unlikely to let go of the toy any time soon. She was clutching it very tightly, and he was okay with that. And her reaction was quite adorable to him. He knew that she would probably love any plush given to her. He didn't know what age sparklings grew out of that phase, but given she was an infant, it could be many, many years before that would happen.
"Hmm, I think maybe I should get you a bigger Stitch. Eventually you'll get too big, so you'll probably want something bigger than that," Jack said thoughtfully as he walked beside her. "And by the way, do you need to change the parts inside the filters of your tank?"
"Just a couple things. I'll probably do that today since you got them for me. The other parts will just be there for when I need it. Thanks again for getting them." Azura looked at her arms for a moment before shrugging. "I am still getting used to seeing myself in the mirror. Sometimes I wake up and believe that I still look like a human."
"I understand. But I think you're pretty adorable for a sparkling." She looked at Jack in surprise and smiled at him. "I am sure the bots tell you that all the time, though. I am curious, what have you been able to do during the day?"
"Watch movies, paint and I just devoured a whole tub of chocolate ice cream…" The boy chuckled when she mentioned the ice cream, and he could only imagine the shock on the autobots' faces. "I have a few things I need to eat before they go bad anyway, so I figured I might as well eat what I have."
"And you decided to eat a whole tub of ice cream?" Azura nodded proudly with a big smile on her face. Jack chuckled in amusement. "Well, at least you aren't going to have a stomach ache, or get fat from it. That is something that I can definitely be jealous of."
"It makes sense, though I never would have noticed that I never put on weight due to the lack of food that I have had during my childhood. But honestly, I do not mind. Besides, I am better off on the energon anyway, and I feel better for it. Even though I don't like to admit it to the autobots." She looked up at the doors as they open and smiled as they enter her room. "I do wish that we have more option than just energon. It just seems boring to me."
Jack nodded in agreement. "I guess you are lucky that you can still eat human food. But I do wonder if that will be rejected at some point in the future. I would hate to see that, as I am going to imagine that might cause you to be sick."
"When it happens, it happens. I can't cry over something I was never meant to eat. But I at least was able to survive this whole time. I do wonder how long I would have been able to survive on human food, but that will be an answer I will never be able to get." Azura walked over to the fish tanks and set the bag onto the bench. She pulled out the sponges that were designed to help catch dirt while the filter ran. "I just got to change these for the three filters. I won't take long."
Jack nodded as he looked at the tetras as Azura turned off the filters and carefully removed one to open it. "I see the tetras have gotten bigger. They seem to be getting bigger fast." She nodded in agreement without looking at Jack. She placed the plush down so she could do what she wanted to do. "At least, I know, that tetras don't get too big."
"No, they don't. Some get big enough to hang with larger fish though." Azura replaced the sponge before turning the filter back on and placing it back into one tank and moving onto the next filter. "But they do not grow as fast as some fish, so that is a good thing. I only have had those ones for a short time."
Jack nodded before looking at the empty tank. He wondered if she planned to use it at all. She has not really spoken about it. "What do you plan to do with this tank?"
Azura looked at it and shrugged. "I am not sure. I thought about more fish, but I think I have enough for now. Three tanks are more than enough. But there will always be a chance that I will use it, so I guess I will just keep it for now."
"I see. I guess it will just collect dust for now," Jack said with a light chuckle. "Oh! I forgot…" He turned to Azura as she opened the second filter. "You still want those fairy lights for your room, right?" Azura nodded. "I was thinking I should get them for you next week."
"That is nice, but daddy wants to make sure that my room is properly fitted before that happens. So be patient. He will let you know when it can happen." She closed the second filter and turned it on before placing it back into the tank. "One last filter."
"I guess I should not get too ahead of myself. I guess I am just kind of excited. I never had a sparkling as a friend before, and I feel like I just want to spoil you." Azura side glances him with a smirk as she opened the last filter to replace the sponge. "I suppose it does come from a place knowing what your age really is."
She rolled her optics at him in amusement. "I do really like it, Jack, but try not to treat me too much like a toddler. I don't really want to experience that all the time. I know I am an infant, and I guess I now know why I behave as such…even when I was younger, there were instances I acted out like I was younger than my age. But I still like being treated as a teenager."
"Fine, I understand. Though I guess it is hard to, you know. It isn't to upset you or anything, I guess because I see how the autobots adore you." She chuckled as she finished the last filter and put it back into the tank after turning it back on. "I will try not to be like that. But do I still have permission to buy you plush toys? I know you really love them. There is another I plan on getting for you soon."
"So long as you aren't wasting all of your hard-earned money on them, then I guess I can accept them. This toy…" Azura picked up the Stitch toy and hugged it against her chest. "Is great, but please don't spend all of your money on me. Yes I love the stuffed toys, but I am not that young minded that I don't realize you work for your money. I still have the card Fowler gave me, but he's taking it back the next time he visits. I don't need to use it anymore, so there's no use for it."
"Ah, well, that is understandable." Jack looked around the room thoughtfully as he stepped away from the tanks. "What should we do to waste time while we are here?"
"I am not sure…I keep my hobbies in the lobby. Actually, there's a painting that I have been working on all week. I am not finished, but I've done enough to it that you might like it." Azura grabbed Jack's hand and walked back to the door. "I know we only just got here, but I forgot that I wanted to show you. I was so preoccupied with the filters and Stitch."
Jack chuckled in amusement as he walked with Azura out of her room. "I had been wondering what you have been working on. You always keep it quiet whenever we get here. But I guess it must be pretty special."
"It is…very special to me." Azura tried to not give away that the image was something she has seen, but Jack was curious about it.
The boy said nothing as Azura kept a hold of his wrist as they walk back to the lobby. She did let him go after he mentioned she was hurting him, and she apologized, forgetting she was stronger than Jack. She had not gotten used to her own strength yet, and it made her feel bad that she had hurt him unintentionally. Azura wanted to learn to be careful, even though she was growing and getting stronger every day. But she had to be patient, and she knew it.
Upon returning to the lobby, Azura saw that Bulkhead and Miko were gone, and Bumblebee and Raf were fixing something on the side of the lobby, though Azura could not tell what it was. Ratchet was working on the bridge, while Optimus and Arcee were not in the lobby. Azura wondered where they were, but she didn't ask as the led Jack to the platform where all of her art stuff was on. They walk up the stairs, and she led him to the stand with the canvas on it.
"Here it is. It is not finished yet, but I am proud of what I have done so far," Azura said proudly as she looked at the image. "It is very pretty."
Jack stared in curiosity at the painting. It was an image of a golden celestial dragon standing proudly on a large boulder with blue sky and tall trees behind it. There was a sense of pride in the dragon's expression. And it seemed to be very unique, with what looked like a blue pearl on the top of the dragon's forehead. It seemed to be a unique detail on the dragon that was curious to him. And the dragon's eyes were blue, and the gold was similar to Azura's hair color.
"I guess I should have known you liked dragons," Jack said with a smile. "They are a pretty cool creature." He looked at the sparkling curiously. "What made you decide to paint it?"
Azura shrugged a little as she looked back at the painting. "Well, I just decided to paint it because I saw a nice dream about her." Jack caught the her as Azura was talking, but he did not interrupt her. "Her name is Celeste, or at least, that is what I heard. She is a powerful dragon. She saved the lives of her people on her world through sacrifice. That's the story I had in my dream."
"Seems interesting." Jack couldn't help but feel that Azura's explanation was very vaguely, but he was still curiously. "That detail on her forehead kind of looks like the crystal around your neck…" Azura immediately took a hold of the crystal with a frown. "I am not going to touch it, Azura, I was just noticing."
"Well, there's nothing significant. I just happened to love the dream that I painted her. Nothing more, nothing less. I just really enjoy stories about brave, wise dragons, there's nothing really special aside from that." Azura looked at the image with a smile and hugged the plush tighter. "And dragons just seem to speak to me. They always have."
Jack softened his expression as he realized he might have jumped to a wrong conclusion. "Oh, I see. They were a source of wisdom and bravery in your eyes, and I guess they were something you thought about during those rough years." She nodded. "Sorry, I was reading into it too much."
"It is okay." Azura smiled at him. "I am not mad. I just thought it was weird in your response." She turned as she heard Bee saying something to Ratchet about being done. "Hmm, looks like they are getting chores done quickly."
"Yeah, it does." Jack walked away from the painting and over to the desk with other sketches. He saw Azura had drawn the autobots, including Cliffjumper, and a few other dragon sketches. "I see you are really talented."
"Thank you. I enjoy art a lot. I hope that I can continue painting and drawing, even when my hands get too big to hold a pencil." She walked over to the desk and looked at the pictures. "I plan on painting a family portrait, one that includes Cliffjumper."
Jack looked at the image as he has never seen Cliffjumper. But seeing the bot with horns made him interested. "I wish I met him. He sounds like he was great, fun guy." She nodded as her face turned to sadness. "But I am sure he still smiles everyday. He can see that you and Optimus are happy, and you have come home." Jack looked at her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Think of that, and you should feel happier."
Azura shrugged as she didn't feel much happier. At the corner of her optic, she saw Bulkhead walking into the lobby with Miko on his shoulder. It seemed like they had already finished the sorting that Ratchet had asked them to do. She couldn't hear what they were saying. She was about go grab out some more paper to see if Jack wanted to try and draw portraits of each other when she noticed Ratchet moving away from the bridge. He had noticed something and was looking at another monitor curiously.
At this point, Optimus and Arcee had returned to the lobby, they both had a cube in hand. It seemed they had left to just get some energon. Ratchet was reading what was on the screen before he spoke. "Optimus, I'm receiving a signal on a restricted band." That caught both Azura's and Jack's attention as they look towards the medic. "It appears to be coming from a star ship inside this solar system."
A star ship? Another bot?! Or…decepticon?!
Azura was immediately curious as she ran down the stairs. Jack watched her curiously before walking down to follow her while they listen in on the bots. "It's an autobot identification beacon," Ratchet said in surprise as he checked the identity of the signal.
"Wait, there are other bots out there?" Jack asked curiously as he approached the stairs to the other platform. Azura ran up them to get a closer look, keeping the Stitch toy in her arms as she looked at the monitor.
Arcee nodded affirmatively. "The masses scattered to the galaxies when Cybertron finally went dark." She paused with a cautious frown. "But cons have been known to bait traps with false beacons."
Azura shuddered as she didn't like the sound of that. Optimus looked at the screen as the communication link was opened so he could speak to whoever was on the ship. "Unknown vessel, this is autobot outpost omega one, identify yourself."
It didn't take long before there was a reply from the pilot. "I've had warmer welcomes from decepticon combat brigades," Came the sarcastic reply to Optimus's stern tone.
"Wheeljack?!" Bulkhead exclaimed suddenly, startling Miko as his optics lit up in surprise. He walked towards the console excitedly, making Azura suddenly curious about this bot. "You old con crusher, what are you doing all the way out here?"
"Bulkhead?" The bot seemed very taken aback to hear Bulkhead's voice. "That's you? What's with all the security?"
"The rock we're on is crawling with cons," Bulkhead explained to the bot. "How soon can you get here and even the odds?"
"Sometime tomorrow, if I put metal to the pedal," Wheeljack responded in a more relaxed tone. He seemed happy to know that someone familiar was on the planet.
"Another bot's coming!" Miko said excitedly with a smile on her face. "How cool is that?"
Azura smiled a little as it was nice to have someone else join the party. "Wheeljack?" She looked at Optimus as he seemed to process the information about this bot. "I know of him by reputation only." That was interesting to Azura. Optimus didn't know Wheeljack, only by reputation. Which meant only Bulkhead knew him, so she was definitely curious. "Can you verify his voice print?"
Bulkhead nodded affirmatively. "He is one thousand percent the real deal, Optimus." Bulkhead glanced at Azura with a smile. "And Wheeljack loves sparklings. He used to spend his days teaching them how to fight through unique games that he came up with." Azura widened her optics with worry and the bot chuckled softly. "Don't worry, Azura, you're too young for that."
"A sparkling?" Wheeljack said in surprise. "Wait, really? There's been a sparkling born after Cybertron went dark? If that is true, now I really am going to put metal to the pedal to meet this youngling!"
Bulkhead chuckled as he heard Wheeljack's response. "Just make sure you don't overdo it, Wheeljack. She's still an infant."
"Gotcha, Bulk, I will make sure the little one is as safe as she can be," Wheeljack responded happily. "You can trust me. I've babysat more than enough sparklings in my time."
Optimus did not seem to react to Wheeljack's comments about Azura, but he seemed happy that Wheeljack was excited to meet Azura. "We will send landing coordinates, Wheeljack. Safe journey."
Bulkhead stepped closer to say one last thing to Wheeljack. "See you soon, buddy. I'll make sure you get a proper welcome."
Arcee looked at Bulkhead curiously with an amused smirk. "So whose the boyfriend?"
Azura chuckled a little as Bulkhead laughed at Arcee's question. "Me and Jackie go way back. We were part of the same war unit, the wreckers." He punched his fist into his palm to show that the wreckers had meant business back on Cybertron. "Which means the cons are gonna wish he never found us."
"And to think you might end up with a babysitter as well," Jack said in a sarcastic tone, which made Azura give him an amused look. "Hey, I am just saying, you never know if he ends up being more fun to be around than Bulkhead."
The wrecker rolled his optics in amusement at Jack. "I highly doubt it. Jackie and I are buddies after all." He placed his hands on his knees as he leaned down slightly to look at Azura. "And don't worry, once he knows who your carrier is, I have no doubt Wheeljack will be extra careful with you. He will not mangle you at all."
"Good to know." Azura chuckled softly and looked at Ratchet curiously. The medic had sent the bot coordinates to land at and she was curious. "Um, does this mean the ground bridge…"
"I'll make sure it is functional enough to bring Wheeljack here," Ratchet interrupts gently without looking at the girl. "Not to worry, Azura. While the bridge isn't as it was, it can still function to a point. I'll work on it during the night to make sure we can use it to bring him here."
Azura nodded as she understood and looked back at the screen. She couldn't help but feel quite excited to meet Wheeljack. He sounded like a fun, interesting bot to meet. And the way that Bulkhead reacted at least told her that he would be a good addition to the team. She hoped that would be the case. She knew that they needed an extra bot, even though she knew Wheeljack could never replace Cliffjumper. Nonetheless, she was excited to have another family member join the base, and hopefully have a better chance defeating the cons completely.
