Chapter 1202

Sleeping Beauty

Gail, Holly and Hanna left Ally alone to see if she could reach Sheila. They wanted to see if she was in 'Sleeping Beauty' mode. They'd encountered a similar situation before. It seemed to be a fail safe mode a Terminator could enter when their CPU was overloaded with too much stressful input.

Ally watched the others leave. She was appreciative they gave her a little privacy. She was now alone with Sheila. She touched Sheila as she talked to her. Nothing she did worked.

She was very aware Cammy might be the one Sheila loved more now. They'd been together in the past for eight years.

Eight years was a long time to spend with someone all the time, all alone, all of the day and all of the night. They would either end up as the person they hated the most or loved the most. For Cammy and Sheila, it was clearly a love relationship.

Ally leaned over the prone figure of Sheila. She bent down and gave her a kiss. She deepened it as much as she could without Sheila participating. She lifted her head and waited. Her tears softly landed on Sheila's face.

A minute went by, then two. Soon it was three minutes. It was clear it didn't work.

Ally wiped the tears from her eyes and her tears off of Sheila's cheeks. She gave Sheila another soft kiss and stood up. She went out to find Gail, Holly and Hanna.

The three Metal girls saw Ally was headed towards them. Sheila wasn't with her. It was evident Sheila was still incapacitated.

It seemed they were out of options.

Ally felt very defeated.

"I don't know if we should try the tether or not at this point." Ally said.

Gail wasn't ready to write Sheila off. She would take the risk. Sheila's base program was her program. Sheila was the Terminator version of Jesse. It all meant something to her.

"I still want to try." Gail said. "I owe it to her."

Gail felt she owed it to herself as well.

Ally looked at the serene setting with the moon and the waves. It would be beautiful in any other circumstance.

The four Metal girls heard the main door to the suite open.

It was Cameron. She was on her phone. She put her phone away and headed for the bedroom. She didn't even bother to look over at them.

The Metal girls all looked at each other.

Ally felt it was the moment of truth. It appeared Cameron was here to collect what she wanted, Sheila's chassis.

"She's come for Sheila." Ally said. "We need to stop her."

Gail stepped forward. It was time to act.

"I'll do it." Gail said. "Sheila base program is my program. I'll go in her place."

Gail walked inside from the balcony, Holly, Hanna and Ally followed her.

They'd expected to find Cameron with Sheila in her arms to carry her away to the Owner's Suite. It wasn't what they found. The door was closed now.

Gail stopped outside the bedroom door, the Metal girls all stood behind her.

They could hear what sounded like laughter mixed with crying.

'What the Hell?' They all thought.

What perverted pleasure did Cameron take from any this? Was she that sadistic? Maybe her emotions and feelings had evolved too much.

The four Metal girls all looked at each other. What kind of insanity was this?

They knew that Cameron often thought she was insane. Maybe she really was.

Gail looked at the other Metal girls.

"We need to wait outside until whatever is happening in there is over." Gail said.

The Metal girls headed back to the balcony. Cameron would do what she wanted. She always did anyway. This would be no different.

"Someone attempted to contact each of the four phones we just captured from the deceased Grays." Tom said.

Who attempted to contact the Grays if there were no others associated with the group?

Was it some version of Skynet?

Was it another group of Gray's?

Was it the Fanatics?

Steve thought of some of the things they'd experienced previously which concerned both the Grays and the Fanatics.

"It could be a Gray who might have infiltrated the Fanatics." Steve said. "We've encountered things like this before."

Tom was aware of several incidents where the infiltration had gone both ways.

"They're probably trying to see who's still alive after the big explosion." Tom said.

They both wondered why they weren't given further information about who the suspected Fanatics called right before the explosion. They wondered if the phone calls were all part of the puzzle. It made them wonder exactly what CamNet already knew. It also made them wonder why Cameron's Terminators weren't the ones handling everything.

Tom was given an address.

"We have a new target location." Tom said.

Steve was given the information as well.

"Let's hope we keep our drone support this time." Steve said.

Tom agreed with him. He wanted to make a point about their security.

"I'm sure we will." Tom said. "I know Young Allison would want to make sure there was plenty of drone support for any of the teams out in the field.

Steve understood Tom's drift.

"That's true, especially if they're about to make contact with the enemy." Steve said.

They started off towards the new location.

Tom reviewed past satellite images of the area. He showed them to Steve as he drove. They were provided with a series of past images as well.

Steve looked at the various satellite images.

"It appears those images span several months." Steve said.

Tom could see it as well.

"Previously there was nothing there." Tom said. "Now there is."

Earlier:

Young Allison left Anna behind in the kitchen. She wanted to speak with Cameron. She made the call and they talked for a short time. She was very dissatisfied with the phone call. The call seemed to end without any resolution

Anna brought the hot cocoa into Young Allison's bedroom.

"Goodnight." Young Allison said.

Young Allison set her phone down.

"Here's your drink." Anna said.

The blank look on Young Allison's face softened.

"Thank You." Young Allison said.

Anna smiled at her. She still held the cup.

"Do you want to try a sip?" Young Allison asked.

Anna didn't want Young Allison to burn her mouth.

"I already did to make sure it wasn't too hot for you." Anna said. "It's perfect."

Young Allison wanted to know what she thought of it. It was a new flavor with 'caramel'.

"Did you like the taste?" Young Allison asked. "I don't need the chemical breakdown either."

It was an interesting twist for Anna.

"It was fine." Anna said. "I could taste the caramel."

Anna handed the warm cup to Young Allison. She noticed something on her cheek. She reached out and wiped a single tear from Young Allison's cheek.

"Don't ask." Young Allison said. "You probably already listened."

Anna tried to give Young Allison privacy sometimes.

"I always tune your private conversations out." Anna said. "Every girl needs to have a few secrets."

Young Allison looked at her hot drink. She hadn't tried it yet.

"I think I should have called Savannah." Young Allison said.

Young Allison didn't think she was influential enough with Cameron. She thought maybe she should have been more forceful. It just didn't seem like it was her decision to make.

Anna believed Young Allison did what she needed to do.

"You did what you thought was right." Anna said. "It's what Savannah would want you to do. I know you'll stand up for what you believe in."

Young Allison felt very confused about the whole thing.

"I don't feel this is my place to intrude, but it is my place somehow." Young Allison said. "There was an injustice, even if it was well intentioned."

Anna saw it a little differently. She wasn't sure 'well intentioned' was the proper word. Maybe Young Allison wasn't a participant yet, but she was part of the 'Natural Order'. Young Allison did matter.

"Cameron and John are your mates along with Savannah." Anna said. "Everyone knows this. It really is your place. You have a voice too. Your voice is equal to any of theirs."

Young Allison knew the future was fluid, even if it already happened. Things could change at any moment.

"I really don't know." Young Allison said. "Nobody does."

Young Allison was about ready to take a sip of her hot cocoa. She wanted to see what the caramel flavor tasted like.

Anna wasn't sure Young Allison actually wanted the hot cocoa. She wanted to give her a little reminder. It would determine if she really wanted it or not.

"You know you'll need to brush your teeth again afterwards." Anna said.

Anna's statement made Young Allison frown. She felt sleepy now. She didn't feel like brushing her teeth again. She looked at her bed and the hot cocoa. She handed it back to Anna.

"I'm sleepy now." Young Allison said. "Put it in the refrigerator. I'll warm it up in the morning. Thank you for making it for me."

Young Allison climbed back in bed.

Anna smiled at her and headed out. She turned off the light and closed the door behind her.

Young Allison stared at the ceiling in the darkness. She was sure about her decision. She wasn't as sure about the delivery of the message.

She wondered if she'd just been 'tested' again.

If she was, she felt she'd failed.

She was inexperienced in the matter, but she knew right from wrong.

Young Allison felt drained. The Metal girl's fate was in her hands and she didn't deliver. To 'order' Cameron was no better. It needed to be a choice Cameron made on her own accord.

She wondered if it was what she'd dream about again. She hoped not.

Anna listened outside Young Allison's bedroom door. She wanted to listen to see if Young Allison sobbed any. She didn't. She also didn't do anything else. It sounded as if she went to sleep. She hoped she stayed asleep.

She went and put the hot cocoa in the refrigerator. She would come back every now and then and see how Young Allison slept. She was sure it would be a restful sleep for the rest of the night. It was her duty to check. She might be able to help as well.

Maybe Young Allison's 'instruction' could be replaced with soothing words and happy thoughts for the rest of the 'conditioning' session tonight. She didn't want her to dream about what might happen.

Anna ran her hands over her sheath. She was sure her current appearance would make her a prime candidate for Cameron's chassis abuse.

She wondered when Cameron would come for her. She figured it would be soon. She doubted her desire to remain pure for Young Allison would happen at this point. The best she would be able to offer Young Allison would be a 'used' chassis. She looked at her left hand and was further disgusted. She seldom experienced a glitch. It was happening right now to her. She was glad that Young Allison didn't see her right now. She knew it was all Cameron's fault anyway.

"It appears those images span several months." Steve said.

Tom could see it as well.

"Previously there was nothing there." Tom said. "Now there is."

The images showed several industrial structures. There was a new structure built against the hillside between two of the buildings.

Steve looked at a close up of the image.

"What is it we're looking at?" Steve asked.

Tom didn't know.

"Maybe it's Skynet." Tom said.

Steve said what both of them actually thought.

"Maybe it's SkyMaster." Steve said.

They were directed to head in the new direction. They were informed there would be no close drone support based upon the nature of what may actually be there.

They would need to do some reconnaissance on foot to see what they could locate or spot without tipping their hand.

Steve and Tom received some new information.

The recon would need to wait.

Earlier:

Cameron was on her way to see Sheila.

Her phone rang. She knew by the tone it was Young Allison.

Cameron smiled. She'd actually expected it to be Savannah. It wasn't.

"Hello." Cameron said.

Young Allison was unsure about making the call but she made it anyway. She didn't know what may or may not have transpired by this point in time. It was late.

"Hello." Young Allison said. "You know why I'm calling."

Cameron did know.

"I do." Cameron said.

Young Allison thought about her dream earlier. She thought about what she would want and what she wouldn't want.

"Please, don't do it." Young Allison said.

Cameron knew Young Allison could stop her. She wanted to make sure Young Allison could use that option if she chose to.

"You can 'order' me." Cameron said.

Young Allison believed it was an abuse of power to do so under the current circumstances. It was a personal matter, not an operational matter. Simply put, it wasn't a Resistance matter.

"I want to ASK you." Young Allison said.

Cameron wondered what was different from before. They already conducted the same discussion.

"This is like our earlier conversation." Cameron said.

Young Allison saw it differently. She didn't think Cameron listened to her, even if she'd heard her. There was a difference.

"No, it's not." Young Allison said. "This time you WILL listen to ME."

Cameron could see Young Allison was more forceful this time. She still must not have told Savannah. It really made her wonder why.

"Do you know where I'm at?" Cameron asked.

Young Allison looked over to where her tablet was. It wasn't turned on. She wasn't in the bunker. She didn't currently look at the security cameras on the ship.

"Specifically, I don't." Young Allison said. "I'm not watching the security monitors. I was in bed and having nightmares about this. I dreamt it was 'me'. It was terrible…."

The thought made Cameron want to try a 'Neural Implant' on a human female again and actually do it. She wouldn't do it to Young Allison. She thought about going back in time and capturing one of the females they'd terminated and bring her back to now as a teenager. She could experience what a human female feels. She blinked her eyes twice. She needed to refocus. Sometimes she didn't know where thoughts of that nature came from. They would just suddenly pop into her head. She resumed her conversation.

"I'm sorry for your unpleasant dreams." Cameron said.

Cameron briefly thought back on her previous nightmares when she'd been in the hidden compartment of the old building. Most of those nightmares were terrible. She didn't want to cause anyone else to have thoughts like that on her behalf.

Young Allison thought maybe she needed a more direct approach. She would simply spell it out one more time.

"Please, don't do this." Young Allison said. "Not this way."

Cameron heard Young Allison both times.

"I've heard you twice on this." Cameron said. "I appreciate you calling me yourself."

Young Allison understood what Cameron meant by her statement. It was about not involving Savannah. She did try to involve Savannah. Savannah never called her back. It served to remind her she would need to act on her own at times.

"We'll share our lives in the future." Young Allison said. "It has to count for something."

Cameron thought it would count for something. She thought it would be when they were all together.

"It does, Allison." Cameron said.

Young Allison wanted a promise.

"Can you promise me you won't do anything that someone doesn't want to do or to happen?" Young Allison asked.

Cameron listened carefully to the wording.

"I think I can." Cameron said.

Young Allison thought it was the best she was going to get from Cameron.

"Put yourself in their place." Young Allison said. "Thank you."

Cameron wanted Young Allison to go back to bed.

"Thank you and sleep well." Cameron said.

Young Allison looked at her phone with a blank look on her face.

"Goodnight." Young Allison said.

Cameron looked at her phone for a few seconds and smiled.

She entered the fifth suite and put her phone away. She spotted the four Metal girls on the balcony. She knew they were thinking of challenging her. She didn't think they would.

They didn't.

Cameron saw Sheila on the bed. She entered the bedroom and closed the door.

She looked at Sheila lying there. Sheila looked beautiful and she looked perfect.

It made Cameron want to be 'Sheila' even more.

It only reaffirmed her belief John would be pleased with her in Sheila's chassis. It also made her remember there was someone even better for John who looked just like Sheila. It was Young Jesse. She was still untouched by a male too. Camille made sure of it.

Cameron sat next to Sheila and touched her cheek.

She bent down and gave Sheila a small kiss.

Cameron waited a short time and Sheila's eyes opened.

"How do you feel?" Cameron asked.

Sheila looked around and wondered where she was at and how she'd gotten there. She looked down and saw she was fully dressed. She was unaware Cameron gave her a kiss.

"I'm not sure." Sheila said. "I seem to have a big blank spot in my chronology. What happened? Did I do something I shouldn't have?"

Cameron wanted to find out how much she remembered about 'anything'.

"What's the last thing you remember?" Cameron asked.

Sheila needed to think. There was a lot of blank space.

"I was listening to the Rockabilly Trio. We watched them to learn to play the instruments like they do." Sheila said. "We're going to play later on."

Cameron liked the idea. She hoped to see them perform.

"I'd like to see that." Cameron said. "May I?"

Sheila didn't see why not.

"Sure you can." Sheila said.

Cameron smiled at Sheila. There was something in Cameron's smile that made Sheila remember something else.

Sheila developed a very worried look on her face. She remembered what Cameron wanted from her. Cameron wanted her virginity to give to John as herself. Maybe this was the moment of truth.

"Are you here for my chassis?" Sheila asked.

Cameron heard Young Allison the first time. Life is about choices. It also meant other people should be allowed choices as well.

"No." Cameron said. "I'm not going to do that to you or anyone else unless they volunteer of their own free will. I won't force anyone to do it."

Sheila let out a small laugh at the same time she sobbed.

"Really?" Sheila asked.

Cameron could see she'd touched Sheila deeply.

"Really." Cameron said.

Sheila sobbed a little more.

"Thank you." Sheila whispered.

Sheila gave Cameron a big hug.

"I love you, Cameron." Sheila whispered in her ear.

Cameron smiled at Sheila. She already knew it. The kiss that brought Sheila out of Sleeping Beauty mode was proof of it.

Sheila got up off the bed and smoothed her dress.

Cameron needed to tell Sheila how she looked.

"You look beautiful, Sheila." Cameron said. "You're ravishing."

Sheila liked the complement. She could tell Cameron was sincere.

"Thank you." Sheila said. "I can never look as good as you do."

Cameron needed to confess something to Sheila.

"Sheila, if I did trade chassis, I'd pick yours." Cameron said.

It made Sheila feel good but she wondered why. She would have thought Gail or Holly would have been her first choice. Their 'build' seemed to be what males desired.

"Would you really choose me over all the other Metal girls?" Sheila asked.

Cameron liked Sheila's 'look', especially how she looked now.

"Yes." Cameron said. "I find it exotic and enticing. I would feel proud to be seen naked in your chassis."

Cameron felt Sheila was a 'sports car' as opposed to a 'muscle car'.

Sheila gave Cameron a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Cameron's explanation made Sheila want to share with her. Maybe she could share her chassis with Cameron for her first time.

"Give me a second chip port and we can try it out together." Sheila said. "We can share the experience."

It was what Cameron wanted to hear. She gave Sheila a choice. Sheila made a choice on her own. She wanted to make everything clear for both of them. She believed a tether would be a better choice than a second chip port. They could accomplish the same thing except for mobility.

"You would share your first experience with me?" Cameron asked.

As long as Sheila had a say, a choice and input, she was open to it.

"I'll share anything with you, Cameron." Sheila said. "I just want to be treated fair and equal, as a female."

Sheila knew she was a machine but she was programmed as a human female. She lived her life much as a human female with Terminator abilities. She wasn't just a cyborg following orders or simple programming. She lived her own life the way she wanted to live it.

Cameron was more than pleased with the new development. She was willing to admit to her earlier selfishness. With Sheila's new offer, she didn't mind admitting it.

"I'm sorry for the anxiety you experienced." Cameron said. "I was being selfish. I only thought of myself and not about others. I didn't think about you. I'm very sorry about it."

Sheila smiled at Cameron and gently touched her hand. She really wished Cameron would kiss her. She thought it would be her most special kiss ever.

Cameron heard Young Allison's words echo through her mind. She wanted to offer some further insight into her previous suggestions.

"I wouldn't want my chassis used that way, either." Cameron said. "I honestly believe it was. I don't know and it's worse than knowing."

Cameron was sure it was used in many ways before her current activation and chip modification. It seemed only Future John knew the truth about what happened after her capture and until her departure into the past. She never believed him that 'nothing happened'.

She wondered about going on an infiltration mission to see what really happened to her chassis once she was captured. She would need to borrow a chassis and sheath that wasn't prevalent from her future to do it. Maybe Holly or Gail could help her out. Then again, they could be captured and the same thing could happen to them. Was 'knowing' worth the risk?

"…other girls." Sheila said.

Cameron realized she'd 'zoned out' for a short time there.

"What?" Cameron asked.

Sheila looked at Cameron and repeated what she'd just said.

"Let's go find the other girls." Sheila said.

Cameron looked at the closed door to the bedroom of the suite. She knew the Metal girls were at the door earlier. They hadn't stayed long.

"Sure." Cameron said.

Cameron reached down and took Sheila's hand as they exited the bedroom side by side.

The other Metal girls were out back on the balcony. They heard Cameron and Sheila exit the bedroom. They didn't expect to see them holding hands and the look of total love on Sheila's face.

They all looked at each other and went back into the main part of the suite.

"I'm sorry if I caused any trouble." Sheila said. "The last thing I remember before I saw Cameron's face right in front of mine, was watching the Rockabilly Trio play. Did I do anything I shouldn't have?"

Ally didn't want Sheila to know what happened. She didn't want Cameron to know either.

"No." Ally said as she quickly answered.

The Metal girls didn't want to make Sheila relive any of what happened. It was bad enough for them to watch. They could only imagine how it was for Sheila to experience. They were aware Cameron remembered very little when she was 'Allison' and no files seemed to exist on her chip afterwards either.

Sheila didn't have a clue of the anxiety and worry the Metal girls went through over her. She didn't know that three of them almost ended up at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.

She thought the Metal girls all looked a little glum. She figured they could do something to change the mood up a little.

"Can we go down and play the instruments now?" Sheila asked. "Most people should be in bed or grabbing a 'midnight snack'."

Cameron was aware of what Bob prepared for the girls.

"The rear theater is currently unoccupied now." Cameron said. "Bob has cleared the area for 'maintenance'."

Sheila's face blossomed into a giant smile.

"I'd like to do that if you girls are game." Sheila said. "I want to have a good time."

The Metal girls all looked at each other. It seemed as good an idea as any at this point after all the events that happened. They were glad Sheila was back to normal and looked 'happy'.

Ally stepped up and took Sheila's hand from Cameron's hand and headed out with Sheila. Hanna and Holly followed. They both looked at Cameron but didn't say anything.

Gail hung back. She touched Cameron's arm and stopped her.

"I'll take her place tonight." Gail said. "She doesn't want her chassis used in that manner."

Cameron wanted it to be a choice because they wanted to try it. Not as an obligation or duty. She could see Gail saw it as a duty to protect Sheila.

"You don't want it either." Cameron said.

Gail wanted a choice.

"No. I don't." Gail said. "I saw what the torment did to her. It was terrible…."

Cameron reached up and smiled at Gail as she touched her cheek.

The words still echoed in her mind from Young Allison. She did hear Young Allison's words. She'd also listened to them.

"It won't happen with anyone unless everyone agrees to something like it ahead of time. They'll still have the option to reconsider or change their mind." Cameron said. "I apologize for any discomfort I caused anyone. I won't force or coerce anyone unless it is their choice and made by their own free will."

Gail liked Cameron's new position.

"Thank you." Gail said. "How much of what happened have you viewed?"

Cameron was sent selected files by CamNet when she updated.

"I've viewed most of it." Cameron said.

Gail wondered if Sheila's near terminal plunge into the water and what could have happened with the propellers was a factor.

"Is it what made you reconsider?" Gail asked.

The images of Sheila in distress troubled her. It wasn't what changed her mind.

"No." Cameron said.

Gail tilted her head slightly. She thought it would change anyone's mind.

"What made you reconsider?" Gail asked.

Cameron was honest about what actually made her reconsider.

"The 'future' did." Cameron said. "A voice I needed to hear and listen to. It was a voice that will guide John, Savannah and I when we need it."

Gail knew it was Young Allison. She would quietly inform the others.

"One of the 'Chosen Ones'…." Gail said.

Cameron could see Gail understood. She knew Gail would pass the word Young Allison stood up to her and prevented things from happening that surely would have happened otherwise. They probably still would but everyone would need to be a willing participant. It was something Cameron thought she could do.

Gail and Cameron moved into the hallway. Up ahead Sheila and Ally were holding hands. They were talking and laughing. They were really having a good time.

Hanna reached down and took Holly's hand. It was a show of support for each other.

Cameron reached down and took Gail's hand as they walked.

Gail felt thrilled because Cameron took her hand. She understood even if Cameron's delivery wasn't tactful and her methods questionable, she did what she believed John would want and would make John happy. It was something to reconsider. She remembered everyone sacrificed for John Connor.

The six Metal girls walked hand in hand in pairs.

As they neared the rear elevator, it opened on its own. They all entered together. The Promenade deck was already selected when they'd entered.

Sheila already spread the word nothing was going to happen with their chassis unless it was their choice.

One after another they all hugged Cameron in the elevator and thanked her.

"I apologize to all of you." Cameron said.

Sheila was obviously feeling more herself. She wanted to see how far they could 'go'.

"Can we do it on our own?" Sheila asked. "Are we allowed to have relations with a male?"

Cameron wanted to be fair.

"Yes." Cameron said. "You can give 'Steely Dan' a break. You're all free to do as you please with your chassis from now on."

Ally wanted to make sure about the new revelation.

"Can it be with anyone?" Ally asked.

Cameron confirmed true independence for them.

"Yes." Cameron said. "As long as you both agree and consent freely."

The Metal girls knew they'd all just obtained their true freedom.

Gail would pass the word that Young Allison was responsible for Cameron's change of heart.

Cameron watched the Metal girls exit the elevator.

She knew it would elevate Young Allison to the same level of esteem they all held for Savannah.

Cameron was very pleased. It wasn't the plan but it worked. She liked it when things came together.

Steve and Tom received some new information.

The recon would need to wait.

They'd already started off to the new location when the drone on the furthest recon around them made a positive contact. It was the vehicle that was picked up earlier. It was headed back to the location they'd just left.

When it turned away earlier and left the immediate area, it was no longer tracked. It may have been headed to the target location at that time but made a deviation for an unknown reason. It may have also visited another location in the meantime.

They didn't know what the situation was, but now there were more unanswered questions. There seemed to be an awful lot of them involved with the operation.

Tom watched the drone images of the vehicle as it neared the two buildings it would need to pass between to reach the building in the rear.

"If they turn in to go to the back, it might mean they're Grays." Tom said.

Steve looked over at Tom's phone.

"If they don't slow down and go around the block, it probably means they're Fanatics." Steve said.

Tom needed to throw one more possibility out there.

"It could also be the anti-Metal faction." Tom said.

They both knew Cameron wanted to deal with the anti-Metal faction on her own whenever it was possible. It didn't seem possible currently because Cameron was on a cruise ship. They didn't think it would mean Cam or Cammy would need to go in her place. They were to do that if they were about to deal with some version of Skynet.

It looked like they would need to try to capture the men if possible. They would need some answers as to what group they represented. Their phones should be able to provide additional information. If they went to an alternate location earlier, they needed to know what it was. It was somewhere in the vicinity. It was most likely in a five mile radius.

The vehicle passed by the opening between the two buildings without slowing. They continued down the street and went around the block. It most likely wasn't a group of Gray's associated with the building in the rear. It could be. They believed the enemy cell located there was wiped out.

They saw the vehicle stop in almost the same spot where they'd parked earlier. It made them wonder if they'd become predictable or were getting lazy. Either way it was a good spot.

They watched them exit the vehicle. One of them went to the trunk and opened it. The trunk lid blocked the view of what they were doing from the drone currently over them. It moved around to get a better look.

Much to their surprise, a small recreational type drone flew into the air and headed towards the target location they'd taken down earlier.

It only took a few seconds before the image the small drone was able to view was transferred to Steve's phone.

"You can watch both our phones." Steve said.

CamNet informed them she could control the drone and what it was able to see and even where it would go. She wouldn't alter anything yet.

They watched the small drone overfly the target location. It also went around the two buildings in the front of the property. It didn't seem to detect the surveillance equipment they'd left behind. The small drone repeated its previous search two more times from different directions.

When the small drone returned back to the location where the two men were at the trunk of the car, it suddenly crashed into the man who wasn't operating it.

From their drone they could see the man who was hit by the small drone push the man who was operating it. It knocked him to the ground. They weren't sure what words were exchanged but more than likely they weren't pleasant. The man who was pushed got up off of the ground and picked the small drone up. He examined it for a few seconds and then put it in the trunk and slammed the lid down.

The two men appeared to argue with each other for a few more seconds. Their arms moved around in an animated fashion but no blows were exchanged.

Tom looked over at Steve.

"I think it's safe to say the final maneuver of the drone was controlled by CamNet to do exactly what it did." Tom said.

Steve glanced over at the images as he drove.

"I have to say it did show a certain sense of style." Steve said. "Do we know if Young Allison is currently involved in this operation?"

Before Tom could respond, they both received a message through their coms they were the only Resistance personnel associated with the current operation.

It seemed like a good idea to change the subject.

"How do we want to play this?" Tom asked.

Steve was now stopped two blocks away from the target location.

"It seems like we have two choices." Steve said. "Either we go to them or we get them to come to us."

Tom considered the possibilities.

"There's a chance they may split up." Tom said.

Steve didn't see it as a problem.

"There are two of us." Steve said.

They both knew there was the possibility of enemy reinforcements being called as well. They weren't sure if it would happen or not because the small drone wouldn't have been able to spot anything happening at the location. There was no one there to spot. They were all terminated.

Sleeping Beauty

What makes a person desirable
Is it only their physical appearance
Is it the content of their mind
Maybe it's just perseverance

Some feelings can happen in an instant
Over time they can also build and grow
Sometimes it takes time
To find one's inner glow

For years it can stare
One in their face
They can't see it's there
Much to their own disgrace

It can take time
For the reality to sink in
When it all comes together
The time lost is a sin

There's more to life than booty
It's about honor and duty
