Spell 5: The Lost Love
Days after they had returned to Tengu City from their school trip, Shido had introduced the Yamai Twins to the rest of his friends.
They then decided to throw a welcome party for them in Omokagedo. They brought snacks of all kinds and juices and soda to drink as they were holding plastic cups that were filled with the side drinks.
Shido coughs in his hand to get everyone's attention.
"Okay everyone, today we're here to welcome Kaguya and Yuzuru joining us from here on. Kampai!" Shido said as he raised his cup and the others did the same.
"Kampai!"
They soon began eating their snacks and drank their drinks, while Kaguya and Yuzuru were talking to their new friends.
"This is nice. Thanks again for this welcome, everyone." Kaguya said.
"Agreement: Truly thank you. I still wish that Master Origami would've joined us." Yuzuru said.
"Yeah, but I'm not sure that's a good idea. Given her view towards Spirits." Shido told her.
"Understandable: I suppose that's true." Yuzuru said.
"But if you really want to thank someone, it should be Wajima-ojisan for allowing us to use his place." Shido said.
"Comply: Thank you, Wajima." Yuzuru bowed her head to the Ring Maker.
"Yeah, thanks for this." Kaguya bowed her head as well.
"Oh don't worry it's fine. Business has been slow these days, and besides I like the company." Wajima told the twins.
"He says that, but he doesn't get customers that often." Koyomi whispered to the twins.
"You don't say." Kaguya mutters.
"But I still can't believe all of that happened when I was on my school trip." Mikie said.
"Yeah, but I'm still surprised that Ellen-san was a Wizard all this time." Rinne said.
"Yeah, I know what you mean. She really had me fooled too." Shido nodded.
"I'm really sorry about that, Shido." Kotori told him and Shido turned to her. "If I only knew sooner on who she was, I would've warned you."
"Hey, Kotori, it's alright." Shido said as he pets her on the head. "Mistakes happened and I don't blame you for it. But I wish you could've told me sooner about this DEM."
"Well…" Kotori said as she smacked his hand off her head. "You didn't ask, and besides it would've made you a more useful person."
"Why you little…" Shido mutters before he sighed. "But anyway, what can you tell me about Ellen?"
"Only rumors about her. From what I heard, not only she's considered managing director Westcott's right hand, she's said to be the strongest Wizard in history." Kotori told him and Shido's eyes narrowed to hear that.
"You don't say?" Shido said as he looked at Tohka as she was talking with Kaguya as they enjoyed some kinako bread together. "Given how easily she beat Tohka, I'm willing to believe it. But still, why should someone like her...No, better question, why would a company like DEM want with Tohka? I thought they're in the business of killing Spirits."
"Hard to say really." Kotori shrugged. "DEM has always been a shady organization. It's hard to say what their motives are. But still, now that we know they're after Tohka, we need to keep a better eye on her and the others."
"Right. Got it." Shido nodded in agreement.
Kotori then looks down on her drink.
"Also, Shido," Kotori calls out and Shido turns to her and Kotori turns to him as well. "Is it really true that you summon Tohka's Sandalphon?"
"Yeah. And truth be told, I still can't believe it myself." Shido said as he looked at his hand as he flexed it.
"Yeah…" Kotori said as she remembers her talk with her superior in Ratatoskr and how Shido summoned the said Angel for the first time and how she promised him if the worst will happen, she'll kill him herself. "Do you…"
Shido blinks as he turns back to her.
"Do you feel different than you usually do after that happened?" Kotori asked and Shido blinked in confusion before he shrugged.
"No, I feel the same as I always do. Why did you ask? Is there something I should be worried about?" Shido asked and Kotori shook her head and smiled at him.
"No, it's alright. I was just curious." Kotori told him as she sipped on her cup.
Shido looks at his sister in a curious look before he shrugs as he picks up a plain sugar donut and begins to eat it.

(Instrumental) (As the song begins the screen lowered to a metallic tree with seed-shape devices attached to it, and the tree itself was attached to a shipe.)
(Next we see Tohka, Yoshino, and Kotori wearing their Astral Dresses gently falling and landing on the ground as they turn to the screen as it zooms to their faces.)
(Next we see three more Spirits falling and landing to the ground, as it zooms to their hair as we couldn't see their faces.)
(Next to appear is Origami and Mana wearing their Realizer suits, as it zooms to Origami's mouth and to Mana's face.)
(Next to appear is Kurumi wielding both of her guns as she is surrounded by her clones, as it zooms to her face as she is smiling and her bangs cover her eyes.)
(Next to appear is the Fraxinus crew as the screen zooms to Kyouhei and Reine's faces.)
(Next to appear is Isaac Westcott and Ellen Mathers, before it zooms to their faces but their eyes were covered as Isaac had a smile on his face.)
(Last but not least, Shido appeared as he wears his Flame Style Ring and scanned it on his Driver and transformed into Kamen Rider Wizard, as the screens zoomed out as he transformed and showed his Ring, before it zooms out further as his friends were standing beside him.)
(Fate subete wa hitsuzen? Hikare au you na deai (Deai). Tsunagaru sutourii) In the city, Tohka was jumping off of her as her name appeared on screen before she runs forward and Yoshino and Yoshinon notice her running past as Yoshino was kneeling on the ground talking to her puppet friend as their names appeared one at a time and Yoshino soon stands up and followed Tohka.)
(Ne kono mune no kodou. Rikai dekinai nara (Up to you). Kono mama ochiteyuku dake) (Kotori was watching as she was leaning on a tree while enjoying her candy as her name appeared before she pulled her candy out and took her leave. Across the street, Origami was walking forward as her name appeared on screen. Then we see Koyomi, Rinne, and Mikie in Omokagedo talking to each other as their names appear, next we see Wajima bringing them some tea before he trips and falls as his name appears on screen.)
(Saa erande suriruna deto hajimemashou) Kurumi was seen standing on top of a building as her name appears as she was looking up at an airship as its shadow appeared on the building. Shido was seen on street level as he was adjusting his Flame Ring before his name appeared on screen, and he soon noticed something flying in the air and saw it was the AST as they headed out to deal with a Spirit.)
(Hanasu tabi fureru tabi warau tabi mezamete. Ku kono omoi kesshite yuzurenai kara) (Next we see a flashback where Shido and Tohka were walking together as she was enjoying her kinako bread. Wizard was then seen riding his Machine Winger forward as the zooms out from his face, before it changes to Shido and his friends having breakfast together, and then they were setting up for a party with their classmates, and then to them looking at Tengu City on their favorite park. Soon following Wizard was Kotori and Yoshino with their Angels out as Kotori was flying above the Rider and Yoshino was riding on Zadkiel beside him. Then it changes to Shido and Tohka riding in a tram together as Tohka leans her head on his shoulder.)
(Hajimete konnani sunao ni soba ni itai to omou kimi ni deaetakara) Then it changes to Wiseman along with his Phantom Generals, Medusa and Phoenix. Then as Wizard, Kotori, and Yoshino were moving forward, the Yamai twins flew above them forcing them to split up, next we see Miku riding on a road in the shape of a piano keyboard, next we see Mana flying above them. Next we see the silhouette of a new Kamen Rider and behind him was a giant lion with wings, and changes to the mysterious Phantom Sora as he was chuckling. Then Origami was seen clashing swords against Ellen.)
(Then finally we see the backside of an unknown Spirit that resembles Tohka as Wizard armed with Sandalphon stood in front of her.)
(Then we see Tohka falling towards Wizard as they grab each other's hand in a finger lock.)
(Shinjitaino Date A Live) Tohka was smiling at Wizard and he was smiling under his helmet as he gently helped her land on her feet, and then the title appeared on screen as everything turned white behind it.)
(Next day)
In the middle of Tengu City and as the people were walking through, a woman was seen walking through the streets as she was talking to some of the people.
She was in her late-20s, had long black hair and matching eyes, she was wearing a white long sleeve shirt with a black skirt and matching stocking and brown boots.
"Ummm...Excuse me," She called to someone as he stopped by. "Have you seen this man?"
She showed a picture of herself wearing a wedding dress along with a man in her age standing beside her wearing a white suit, which indicates that he was her husband.
He had black hair and matching eyes.
"No, afraid I hadn't." He told her as he shook his head.
"I see. I'm sorry to take your time." She told her.
"It's no problem." He said as he left.
The woman looks at the picture of herself and her husband.
"Takahiro…" She mutters.
That is when she heard screams of fear close to her, she looked and saw that people were running away from a group of Ghouls as they were moving towards her.
"Monsters?!" She said in shock as she ran away but the Ghouls chased after her.
(Meanwhile)
Shido is seen walking with the Yamai Twins, they wanted to explore the city to see what it's like and requested Shido to guide them.
They were wearing casual clothes.
Kaguya was wearing black-goth like clothes while Yuzuru was wearing normal clothing.
"Hm-hm, this town sure is nice. This will be a decent place for the Yamai sisters." Kaguya said.
"Agreement: That it is. It's certainly a nice town with good people." Yuzuru said in agreement.
"I'm glad to hear that. After all, Tengu City will be your home from here on." Shido told the twins.
"Reply: That does sound nice." Yuzuru said.
That is when someone bumps into Kaguya as he is running away in fear.
"Hey! What was that-!" Kaguya said before he shouted.
"M-Monster!" He shouted as he continued to run away.
"Monsters?" Kaguya repeated as she and Yuzuru blinked in confusion, while Shido understood what he meant.
"Somehow, I shouldn't be surprised by that." Shido said as he ran to where that man was running away from.
"What...Shido wait for us!" Kaguya said as she and Yuzuru followed him.
"Curious: What is going on?" Yuzuru said in wondering.
The Ghouls had cornered the woman close to a parking spot as she fell on the ground and was back into a corner on a wall as they slowly approached her.
"Takahiro...help me…" She mutters as she holds the picture of herself and her husband close to her chest, and as one of the Ghouls were about to attack she braced herself and Shido jumps in and kicks that Ghoul on the chest sending it stumbling towards the others as they back and bumped into each other.
The woman looks up to her savor as Shido looks down at her.
"You okay?" Shido asked and she nodded.
That is when the Yamai Twins had arrived and saw the Ghouls as Shido turned back to them while the twins were surprised to see the creatures in the area.
"Whoa! What are those things?" Kaguya asked.
"Uncertain: I'm not sure myself." Yuzuru said.
"Kaguya, Yuzuru," Shido calls out, getting the twins attention. "You look after this woman. Right now, she's their target."
"O-Okay…" Kaguya nodded.
"Comply: Understood." Yuzuru nodded.
"Thanks." Shido soon scans the Driver On Ring on his belt.
DRIVER ON, PLEASE
Shido's belt changes into its Driver form and Shido resets the Driver.
SHABADOOBIE TOUCH TO HENSHIN
Shido puts on his Water Style Ring.
"Henshin." Shido said as he flipped the Ring's goggles down and scanned the Ring on his Driver.
WATER, PLEASE: SUI SUI SUI SUI
Shido transforms into Wizard in Water Style and the Ghouls charge at him.
Wizard huffed as he charged at the Ghouls and they began to battle each other.
Wizard is dodging most of the Ghouls attacks while landing a kick on some of them while dodging.
Wizard dodge one Ghoul's thrust at him and grabs onto it and pulls the Ghoul to land a elbow strike on its chest sending it to a wall as it let's go of the spear.
Wizard that spear to parry some Ghouls attacks and slashes them with it before he stabs the spear into a Ghoul's chest and kicks it on the head sending it to the ground.
Wizard soon changes to his Connect Ring and resets his Driver to scan the Ring on it.
CONNECT, PLEASE
Wizard soon brings out his gun and uses it to fire on the Ghouls while dodging their attacks, destroying them in the process.
Wizard then turns to the remaining Ghouls as they face the Rider with spears ready.
Wizard soon changes to his Land Style Ring and resets his Driver to scan the Ring on it.
LAND, PLEASE: DODODO DODODON, DON DODODON
Wizard changes to his Land Style and then changes to his Big Ring before he resets his Driver and scans the Ring on it.
BIG, PLEASE
Wizard brings forth a magic circle above him and places his arm into it which enlarges it, which surprises the Yamai Twins, before Wizard clenches his hand into a fist and smashes the Ghouls with it, destroying them.
"Whew." Wizard said as he changed back into Shido.
"Shido!"
"Amazement: Shido!"
Shido blinks as he turns to the Yamai Twins as they run to him.
"That was amazing! You were like this and that, and this and that! And then you want like this and smash!" Kaguya said as she mimicked Shido's moves in his fight with the Ghouls.
"Curious: What else are you capable of?" Yuzuru asked.
"I'll explain later. Right now, she's my priority." Shido said as he turned to the Gate and the twins turned to her as well as she was still stunned by what she saw.
Unknown to Shido and the Yamai Twins, is that the Phantom Generals Medusa and Phoenix were watching them on top of a rooftop.
"The Yubiwa no Mahōtsukai. He just won't learn to stay out of our way." Medusa said in annoyance.
"That is true. So, Medusa, how about you let me handle this one?" Phoenix told his fellow general. "My mana is now stronger than before. I just know I can beat him this time."
"No, I shall handle this." Said a Phantom as he walks beside them.
The Phantom has a black body with silver armor and has green spots on his legs, chest, and helmet; he also has green eyes and has a golden horn on his forehead and a line on the center of his torso. This is the Phantom known as Valkyrie.
"Valkyrie? Now this is a surprise. It's not like you to volunteer in missions like this." Medusa stated.
"Well, I've been bored for a while now and I wanted to have some fun. And besides…" Valkyrie said as he looked at the Gate as she was leaving with Shido and the twins. "The Gate will no doubt give me some much needed entertainment."
Medusa smirks in amusement. "Very well. I shall leave this task to you."
"Thank you, Medusa-sama." Valkyrie bowed his head while Phoenix clicks his tongue in annoyance as he missed another chance to fight Shido again.
Shido and the Yamai Twins had brought the Gate to the Donut Shop Hungry, where Shido introduced the Manager and Ryu to the twins. That is when they had ordered some donuts and some drinks.
"Here." The Manager said as she brought Shido a tray of donuts and their drinks, one with his usual plain sugar while the others will have her newest creations. "Plain sugar and our newest donuts."
"Thank you." Shido said as he picked the tray and walked to the table where his friends and the Gate were seated on.
Shido places the tray on the table as he sits down, and Kaguya and Yuzuru pick up their own donuts and begin eating them.
"Oh wow! Tohka told me about this place, but their donuts are really good." Kaguya said as she took another bite of her donut.
"Delicious: I concur." Yuzuru said as she took another bite of her donut.
"I'm glad to hear that." Shido said before he turned to the Gate. "Also, how are you feeling miss…"
"Maki. My name is Shirotori Maki." She introduced herself.
"Then, Shirotori-san, how are you feeling?" Shido asked.
"I'm still a little confused. So I'm this Gate and those monsters called Phantoms will keep coming after me?" She asked.
"Well those monsters are called Ghouls. But that's the gist of it." Shido said as he picked up his donut and ate it.
"But she's not the only one confused by that." Kaguya said. "Why would these Phantoms come after her like before."
"Curious: Why is that Shido?" Yuzuru asked.
"Well...I'll explain later. But, Shirotori-san, you said you're only visiting Tengu for a few days, right?" Shido asked and she nodded.
"Yes."
"Then it's probably best that you leave as soon as you can. The Phantoms won't bother to chase you if you're out of the city." Shido told her.
"I can't do that!" Maki told them as Shido and the twins looked at her. "You see I'm here to look for my husband." She told them.
"Your husband?" Shido asked and Maki nodded.
"Yes, here's a picture of him." Maki told them as she brought out the wedding picture of herself and her husband and showed it to them. "His name is Takahiro. He went missing around a year ago. You wouldn't happen to see him here did you?"
Shido and the Twins looked at the man in the picture before they shook their heads.
"No, I can't say that I have." Shido told her.
"Same with us too." Kaguya said.
"Oh I see…" Maki said in sadness and disappointment as she lowered her head.
Seeing the sadden look on her face made Shido and the Yamai Twins a little worried before the Ringed Mage coughs in his hand.
"Umm...Shirotori-san, if you...don't mind me asking. What makes you think your husband is here?" Shido asked.
"Because...He came to Tengu City on a business trip. But after a few days, he hadn't contacted me for a while. That's when I officially received the report that he went missing." Maki told them.
"Oh I see." Shido said.
"Sadness: I'm sorry to hear that." Yuzuru told her and Maki shook her head.
"It's alright. But then I heard something from a relative of mine who lives here. Apparently he once spotted a man who resembles Takahiro." Maki told them.
"And then you come to Tengu to see for yourself if he's really here. Is that right?" Shido asked and Maki nodded.
"Yes, that's right. I can't leave until I know for sure." Maki told them.
Shido and the Twins were looking at her in worry before Kaguya spoke out.
"Hey, if you want, we can help you look for him?" Kaguya suggested and Maki's eyes widened to hear that.
"What? Are you sure?" Maki asked.
"Comply: Of course we are. We'll be more than happy to help. Don't you agree, Shido?" Yuzuru asked.
"Yeah. Not sure if we can find him, but we'll try." Shido said before he whispers to the Fraxinus on his communicator. "Kotori, did you hear all that?"
"Loud and clear. We'll look up things on our end. You focus on the Gate." Kotori told him.
"Alright," Shido said as he stood up. "Where should we start?"
Unknown to them is that a man wearing a trench coat and hat was spying on them, and he smiled when he heard all that he needed.
Shido and the Yamai Twins had spent minutes looking for Maki's husband as they searched through together with the Gate. They decided to take a breather and sit down on a bench and have some drinks.
"Man, I guess I should've known better that finding one guy in a city full of people isn't going to be easy." Kaguya said as she rubs the back of her head.
"Agreement: That is very true." Yuzuru said.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to take most of your time like this." Maki told them.
"No, it's alright. I was the one who suggested this in the first place." Kaguya said as she waved her hands.
"Reply: I agree with Kaguya. We wanted to do this." Yuzuru assured her.
"Thank you." Maki said before she heard her phone ringing and brought it out and saw who was calling her and became sad to see that as Shido and the twins notice.
"Is something? Who's calling?" Shido asked.
"It's nothing." Maki said as she stood up. "Will it be alright if I take this in private?"
"Sure." Shido nodded. "Just make sure you're not too far away."
Maki nodded as she walked away in a distance as she answered the phone and placed it on her ear to talk whoever was calling her.
"You know, I'm still surprised you were willing to help her so easily." Shido told Kaguya.
"Turely: I found it surprising as well." Yuzuru said and Kaguya's cheeks turned red as she turned away from them.
"S-Shut up! I can be kind if I wanted to!" Kaguya exclaimed as Shido and Yuzuru chuckled in amusement.
"Apologies: But I understand why you're doing this." Yuzuru tells her and Kaguya blinks as she turns to her sister. "You're not sure why but you saw yourself in Maki-san's place, didn't you?"
Kaguya scratches her finger on her cheek.
"Well...I guess I can't deny that. If you were to disappear, Yuzuru, I would've spent every day looking for you." Kaguya said.
"Joy: I'm glad to hear that. And the same could be said with me if you disappeared as well." Yuzuru told her as she and Kaguya started to chuckle and smile at each other.
Shido smiled as well.
Maki was still talking with someone on her phone.
"Yes, I know nii-san. And I miss her too, but this is something I need to do. Just please tell her, I'll be back home soon and that I love her. Thank you." Maki told her caller before she ended the call.
Maki sighed as she placed the phone on her forehead, and as she turned back to Shido and the twins, but that's when saw someone was watching in a distance and as Maki stared at her that there was something familiar about him before he left and then...
"Shido, are you there?" Kotori asked through his communicator as he answered.
"Yeah, it's me. Did you find anything?" Shido asked.
"I did. Maki-san's husband did disappear, but here's the problem. He disappeared right around a time when a solar eclipse had appeared." Kotori told him and Shido's eyes widened to hear that.
"Shido!" Kaguya calls out.
"Calling out: Shido!" Yuzuru calls out.
Shido turns to the Yamai Twins as they had worried looks.
"What's wrong?" Shido asked
"It's Maki-san, she's gone!" They both said at the same time, and Shido's eyes widened in shock as he also noticed that Maki was now gone.
Maki had followed the man wearing the trench coat to another part of the city, as she soon spotted him waiting for her as he stood in front of her.
"You...You were watching me weren't you?" Maki asked and he nodded. "Why? Who are you?"
"Oh come on, Maki. Do you really need to ask?" He answered and Maki recognized his voice.
"That voice...It can't be…" Maki mutters.
He then took off his hat to reveal himself as Takahiro, Maki's missing husband.
Maki gasped as tears formed on the edge of her eyes as she covered her mouth with her hands.
"T-Takahiro!" Maki shouted in joy as she ran up and hugged him and Takahiro hugged her back. "I-I can't believe it...Is this really real?"
"Of course it is. I'm here." Takahiro told her as he held his wife close.
Maki started to cry tears of joy on his chest.
"I know it...I just know I would find you. I didn't give up hope." Maki told him as they let go of each other as they smiled at each other.
"I'm sorry to make you feel that way." Takahiro told her and Maki shook her head.
"Don't be. I'm just so glad to see you. And our dau…" Maki said before Takahiro smiles as he chuckles in amusement.
"Surely you jest?" 'Takahiro' asked and Maki blinks in confusion before he laughs loudly. "I can't believe you were that stupid!"
"T-Takahiro? What are you saying?" Maki asked.
"Sorry, but I'm not Takahiro." He said as he changed into the Phantom, Valkyrie. "Am I his Phantom, Valkyrie!"
Maki was shocked to see this as she took a few steps back.
"N-No, it can't be...What happened to Takahiro?" Maki asked.
"I regret to say, but your husband died when he gave into despair. And I took his place." Valkyrie told her.
"No…" Maki mutters in denial.
"And thanks to your little talk with the Yubiwa no Mahōtsukai, I now know what supports your heart." Valkyrie stated as he showed Maki's wedding picture with Takahiro in his hand, which was much to her shock as she checked and saw that it was indeed gone. "Now, let's see you'll react if I do this."
Valkyrie then grabs onto both ends of the picture and Maki soon realizes what he was going to do.
"No don't!" Maki shouted.
But her pleas were left ignored as he rips the picture in half, and Maki's eyes widened in horror as Valkyrie throws the now teared picture on the ground and stomps on it.
Something broke inside of Maki as she fell on her knees as small purple cracks appeared around her body.
"Now give into despair and unleash the Phantom inside of you." Valkyrie said before he was fired upon.
Valkyrie looked and saw it was Shido armed with his gun and wearing his Driver as he faced the Phantom.
"So you've come, Yubiwa no Mahōtsukai. But you're too late." Valkyrie said, and soon the Yamai Twins had arrived as they stopped beside him.
That is when they saw the state that Maki was in and were surprised to see the purple cracks appearing around her body.
"What the...Maki-san?" Kaguya said.
"Shock: What's happening to her?" Yuzuru asked.
"That is how a Phantom is brought into this world." Shido said, getting the twins attention. "Once a Gate has fallen into despair, it gives birth to a Phantom and once that Phantom is released it takes the Gates' place and kills them in the process."
"No way…" Kaguya mutters in shock and Yuzuru is stunned to hear that as well.
"Stunned: I'm at a loss for words." Yuzuru said.
"That's right. Now there is no hope for the Gate." Valkyrie stated.
"I won't let that happen." Shido said as he resets his Driver to his left.
SHABADOOBIE TOUCH TO HENSHIN
"Kaguya, Yuzuru, look after Shirotori-san." Shido told the twins and they nodded.
"Sure you got it." Kaguya said.
"Comply: Request accepted." Yuzuru said.
"Thanks." Shido said as he puts on his Flame Style Ring.
"Henshin." Shido said as he pushed the goggles down and scanned the Ring on his Driver.
FLAME, PLEASE: HI HI HI HI HI
Shido transforms into Wizard and shows off his Ring.
"Saa, showtime daa." Wizard said as he charges at Valkyrie and fires at him with his gun.
Valkyrie brings out his spear and uses it to deflect Wizard's bullets as he charges at him.
Valkyrie swings his spear at Wizard and the latter dodges it by sliding under the spear, and as he stopped sliding Wizard change his WizarSwordGun to its sword mode and swings his sword at Valkyrie and he parried his attack with his spear and stabs at Wizard with it and Wizard deflected it and stabs his sword at the Phantom and Valkyrie dodges it by jumping backwards.
Valkyrie then fires energy shots from his forehead towards Wizard, and Wizard changes to his Defend Ring and resets his Driver to scan the Ring on it.
DEFEND, PLEASE
Wizard brings out a magic shield to block Valkyrie's energy shots, and while Valkyrie was stunned to see that, Wizard jumps over his shield and heads towards the Phantom to attack him but…
"Big mistake there." Valkyrie states as he brings forth wings on his back and flies at Wizard and lands two slashes on his chest, sending him falling to the ground.
"Shido!" Kaguya said in worry.
"Worried: Shido!" Yuzuru said in worry as well.
"I'm fine…" Wizard said as he stood on his knee and foot. "Just keep watching over Shirotori-san."
Wizard and the Yamai Twins look at Maki as the cracks are starting to get larger and larger.
"Just give up, Wizard." Valkyrie stated as he flew above him and as Wizard turned to him. "There is no saving the Gate. There is no hope for her."
"Oh please…" Wizard said as he stood up on his feet. "You Phantoms should know by now, I'm bad at giving up. If there's no hope, then I'll just have to make some."
Valkyrie huffed to hear that. "We'll see about that!"
Valkyrie charges at Wizard and attacks him with his spear and Wizard dodges it, and as Valkyrie flies up in the air, Wizard soon changes to his Hurricane Dragon Ring.
"You're not the only one with air superiority." Wizard said as he reset his Driver and scanned the Ring on it.
HURRICANE, DRAGON: Byu-Byu, Byu-Byu-Byu-Byu
Wizard summons a magic circle above him and as a hurricane dragon appears and flies around him, Wizard jumps through the circle as he changes into his Hurricane Dragon Style and flies at the Phantom while holding his sword in a reverse grip style.
Both Wizard and Valkyrie clashed against each other several times before their next clash brought their weapons in a bladed lock.
As the two were in a bladed lock, Wizard had changed to his Thunder Ring and reset his Driver to scan the Ring on it.
CHOINE, THUNDER: SAIKO
Wizard pushed Valkyrie away and summoned a lightning dragon as it flew to the Phantom and passed through his body, damaging Valkyrie as lightning strikes around his body and Wizard uses that chance to land an upward slash on Valkyrie's chest and lands a kick on the side of his head sending the Phantom falling into the ground.
Wizard lands in front of Valkyrie with his back turned against the Phantom and Wizard soon changes to his Water Dragon Ring and turns to Valkyrie and scans the Ring on his Driver.
WATER, DRAGON: Jabajaba Bashān, Zabun Zabun
Wizard changes into his Water Dragon Style, as the Phantom stood back up.
Valkyrie roared as he charged at Wizard and attacked with his spear, and Wizard dodged and parried his attacks and landed a few counter slashes on his body, and as Wizard parries Valkyrie's next attack he spun his sword around and lands a powerful stab on his chest, sending the Phantom flying before he crashes on a wall and soon falls on his hands and knees.
Wizard soon puts on his Blizzard Ring and resets his Driver and scans the Ring on it.
CHOINE, BLIZZARD: SAIKO
Wizard brought forth a magic circle and it unleashed a powerful blizzard at Valkyrie as he stood back on his feet, and Wizard's spell froze the Phantom as he was incase in ice.
Wizard soon changes to his Special Ring.
"Finale daa." Wizard said as he scans the Ring on his Driver.
CHOINE, SPECIAL: SAIKO
Wizard's Drago Tail appeared on his back which was much to the Yamai Twins' amazement.
"He has a tail?!" Kaguya said.
"Amazement: Sugoi…" Yuzuru said.
Wizard assumes his stance as he ready his Tail and lands an upward slash on Valkyrie destroying him as he explodes.
With Valkyrie now destroyed, Wizard soon turns to Maki and runs to her.
"Shirotori-san!" Wizard said as he changed to his Flame Style.
FLAME
Wizard knelt down to Maki as the twins looked at her in worry.
"This isn't good." Kaguya said.
"Concern: What are we going to do, Shido?" Yuzuru asked.
"Relax. I got this." Wizard as he gently picks up Maki's hand. "I'm the final hope."
Wizard soon brings an Engage Ring and puts on Maki's finger and Wizard resets his Driver and scans the Ring on it.
ENGAGE, PLEASE
A magic circle appeared above Maki as Wizard levitated above it and dived into the circle to enter her Underworld, much to the twins' surprise.
Wizard continues to fall into the tunnel that leads to Maki's Underworld, and he has arrived as he lands on the ground.
Wizard looked around and spotted Maki with her husband as he proposed to her as he showed a wedding ring in a box, much to Maki's shock and happiness.
"So this is Shirotori-san's underworld." Wizard said.
That is when a large crack appeared in front of him and smashing through was Maki's Inner Phantom.
The Phantom resembles a fox with nine tails, and has fire around its feet and the end of its tails and has fire spots on the sides of its mouth.
This is the Kitsune Phantom.
The Kitsune Phantom roars at Wizard and swings its tail at him to attack, and Wizard dodges it by rolling on the ground, and as Wizard stops on his knee and foot the Kitsune Phantom runs away from him to cause more destruction in Maki's Underworld as it uses its tail to attack and create more purple cracks around itself.
"No, you don't, you're not going anywhere! Let's go, Dragon!" Wizard said as he stood up and changed to his Dragorise Ring and scanned it on his Driver.
DRAGORISE, PLEASE
Wizard soon summons his inner Phantom, WizarDragon before him as it flies to the Inner Phantom.
Dragon roars as he follows the Kitsune Phantom.
The Kitsune Phantom was jumping from rooftop to rooftop as it reached the tallest building while at the same time creating more cracks in the Underworld.
Dragon follows the Inner Phantom and Kitsune soon notices it and growls at Dragon.
Dragon soon shoots fire at the Kitsune Phantom and the Inner Phantom blocks it with its tails and soon stabs at Dragon with them as he dodges its attacks.
Wizard was racing towards Dragon as he was riding on his bike as the Kitsune Phantom fired fireballs at his Inner Phantom, which sends Dragon falling to the ground as it rolled around on it and Wizard manages to timely jump and attaches his bike onto Dragon's back to ride on it.
"All right, Dragon, let's show this Phantom who the real master of fire is!" Wizard told his Inner Phantom and Dragon roared in agreement as they flew at the Kitsune Phantom.
The Kitsune Phantom fired fireballs at Wizard and Dragon, but they were able to dodge its attack.
Wizard then had Dragon shoot fire at the Inner Phantom and it blocked his attack with its tail.
"Hey, that gives me an idea." Wizard said as had made Dragon flew around the Kitsune Phantom.
The Inner Phantom roared as it fired fireballs at Dragon, and then the Kitsune Phantom extended its tails at Dragon to stab at him and Wizard, and as Dragon dodged its attacks Wizard soon had Dragon bites onto one of its tails.
The Kitsune Phantom roared in pain as it tries to pulled its tail free, but Dragon refused to let go and Wizard soon made him to pull the Kitsune Phantom towards them and spun the Inner Phantom several times in a fast pace until it eventually got dizzy and Dragon throws the Phantom to the ground as it skids on it.
"Now for the finale." Wizard said as he changed to his Kick Strike Ring and scanned it on his Driver.
CHOINE, KICK STRIKE: SAIKO
Wizard jumps off of WizarDragon as it changes into its Strike Phase mode, and as Dragon aimed itself at the Kitsune Phantom, Wizard kicks on it and sends both himself and his Inner Phantom at the Kitsune Phantom as a flaming version of Wizard appears around him, and as the Kitsune Phantom stood back up, Wizard kicks and smashes through the Phantom destroying it as the Inner Phantom exploded.
Wizard lands on the ground as the cracks in Maki's Underworld start to fade away.
"Whew." Wizard said before he noticed something else in the Underworld.
He saw that Maki was in the park as she was hugging a child in her arms, and Wizard smiled underneath his helmet before he took his leave.
In the real world the Yamai Twins soon saw the cracks around Maki's body had started to fade away, much to their relief and amazement.
Then a magic circle appeared before them and coming out of it was Wizard riding on his bike as he stopped.
"Shido...Is Maki-san…?" Kaguya asked and Wizard nodded.
"Yeah, she's alright. Now she's not a Gate anymore." Wizard told them.
"Relief: That's good to hear. But her husband…" Yuzuru said in sadness.
"Don't worry." Wizard told them which got their attention. "She'll be alright, she may have given despair this time. But she still has some hope."
The Yamai Twins blink in confusion as they look at Maki.
(Next day)
After Maki was able to recover from the revelation that her husband was now gone, she was ready to leave Tengu and as Shido and his friends were with her as they were at the station.
"Everyone, thank you for everything you did yesterday. Even if it was for nothing." Maki told them.
"It's alright." Kaguya said as she waved her hands.
"Condolences: We're really sorry for you lost." Yuzuru said in sympathy.
"No, it's alright." Maki shook her head. "I should've accepted the fact that Takahiro was gone. And strangely, despite all that I'm glad to finally know this."
"Then it sounds like you're moving forward in your life." Shido said, getting her attention. "You may have lost your husband, but you still have some hope, don't you?"
Maki smiled as she nodded while his friends blink in confusion.
"Yes. I do." She told them.
"Maki!" A man calls out to her.
That is when they spotted a man walking towards them while waving.
He was a few years older than Maki and had short black hair and eyes, he was also wearing a white long sleeve shirt and jeans with brown shoes.
"Nii-san, I'm glad you're here." Maki said as she walked to her brother as they began to talk.
"Hey, Shido," Kaguya calls out to him as he turns to her. "What do you mean by that?"
"Wonder: I'm curious as well." Yuzuru said.
"You'll see." Shido told them.
"Mama!"
That is when they saw a girl approaching them.
She looked to be around 5 years old, and had long black hair and eyes, she was wearing a pink shirt with a yellow skirt and pink shoes.
"Mokoto!" Maki said with tears forming on her eyes.
"Mama!" Mokoto said as she ran to her mother, and Maki knelt down as they hugged each other.
"Oh, Mokoto! I missed you so much!" Maki said as she held her daughter.
"I missed you too…" Mokoto said as they looked at each other's faces. "But where's Papa?"
Maki flinched before she lowered her head and looked up at her daughter.
"Papa...He...He won't be back for a while." Maki told her daughter and she was saddened to hear that. "But don't worry, I'll always be here for you."
"Mama..." Mokoto said as they hugged each other again.
Shido and his friends smile to see this, Maki may have lost her husband but at least she still has her daughter.

(Sore wa sore wa hatenai tabi. Kimi wo sukuu yūsha no monogatari.) (The screen showed the starry night sky above Tengu City, and then it lowered to Wizard's back as he was standing before it moved to his face as Wizard raised his head as the sun rose in front of him.)
(Aru otogi no kuni Tabidatsu wa yūsha) (Next it changes to the park where Shido and Tohka had their first date, as we see two Wizards striking a pose in Flame Style and Flame Dragon Style before we Yoshinon holding the Water Style Ring appearing on the screen as it change the background.)
(Sōgen kakenuke Mezasu wa ohime-sama) (Next we see Arubi Island and show two Wizards in Water Style and Water Dragon Style striking a pose, and next Tohka appears as she wears the Hurricane Style Ring as the background changes.)
(Makkura na dōkutsu kaze fuki-areru yama koeteku) (Next we see it was night time in Tengu City as the screen showed DEM's Japan Branch, and two Wizards in Hurricane Style and Hurricane Dragon Style standing on top of another building striking a pose, before Origami appeared wearing the Land Style Ring as the background changes to Tenguu Square and showed two Wizards in Land and Land Dragon Styles also striking a pose.)
(Tsurugi wo kazashite) (Sandalphone appears as it changes the screen, as we see Shido wounded and kneeling on the ground with the very same Angel in his hands as he had in front of him)
(Hitomi ni utsuru yūki no honō) (As Shido's powers healed his wounds, he looked up and stood on his feet.)
(Yami no te wo furi-harai kimi no te wo nigiru) (Next we see two hands appearing as they reach out and grab onto each other in a fingerlock and a brought light appears between them as it changes the screen white.)
(Ima datte yume datte tsurugi wo te ni. Kimi no koto mitsukeru yo yami wo saite. Taore tatte tsuraku tatte makenai kara. Kono te wo gyutto tsukamaete) Then it changes to a black sword floating in the starry night sky as the screen moves down, as it did the Yamai Twins appeared, then changes to Kotori in her commander outfit licking her candy, then we see Miku smiling at the screen, then change to Yoshino and Yoshinon smiling as well. Next Tohka appeared on screen but she was wearing a dark and different Astral Dress and had an expression that makes it seem like she was a different person. Next we see Kurumi's face appearing on screen as she moves away from it.)
(Kienai yūki no honō ga (Dead or Alive) (Then as Kurumi fades away, flames appear out of nowhere as it covers and changes the background.)
(Sekai terashite-iru) (It changes to Tohka and Shido standing on a beach as they watch the setting sun while holding hands.)
