"Hold on, they're still looking for the two of you, why are you willing to do this?" Kim asked as they neared the field and she could see the tornado in the distance. She shifted uncomfortably in the back seat as her right arm ached. Sam had popped her shoulder back into place a few hours back, but everything still hurt. Everything felt like a live wire and she knew that she would eventually crash from all of this adrenaline.

"Either your boy comes out of that or Lipretere comes back for round 2. You are the only person that can handle either of those situations," Dean explained as Kim let out a shaky breath. Lipretere would be nearly impossible without Tommy, but the boys were right. She was the best chance for this world if Lipretere came back to finish the job. "We're not going to let anyone stop you from doing whatever it is you need to do."

"If it is Lipretere- I need the both of you to get out of there. Do you understand?" Kim ordered as Sam and Dean shook their heads. She was going to need back up if it was Lipretere- they had seen enough to know that it was not a one ranger job. "It's not a request. I can't look out for the two of you and go after him- you have to leave."

"Fine," Sam acquiesced as Dean gave him a look that said he soundly disagreed with letting her go in by herself. "Look, Dean- we can stay close enough if things go really wrong, but she has a point. We're no good in there."

"You're going to have to get me close," Kim whispered as Dean smiled and he swerved into the open field, plowing through police barricades. If she needed to get close- they were going to get her as close as humanly possible.

"I have to go back," Tommy argued as his friends stared at him. He had landed on the outskirts of Reefside a year ago and had been so furious that Lipretere's death had sent him back- not Kimberly. He was fine living in a world where it was hunt or be hunted- he lived in that world already. She had been able to get away from all of that in this world and he wanted her to still have that chance. He'd searched for weeks before he realized that she was truly gone and he had started to make a plan to get back. He had told his friends that he was going to get back to her, even if it trapped them both.

He had been fighting them for over a year to find a way back to the world where he'd left Kimberly. The monsters were still coming after him, but it was different now. They didn't have anything to hold over him to keep him in line and that made him dangerous. He had taken out being after being over the last year and it should have scared them, but it didn't. They were just impressed at how, efficient, he had become. He was efficient because he was in pain. He was efficient because every day he had to stay alive to make sure that Kim was not left alone.

"This world needs you Tommy," Katherine said as she grabbed his arm and he pulled away from her. This was the argument that they had had over and over as he explained why they were done, forever. She had always welcomed him when things went awry with Kimberly, but he had seen the change in Kim before he left. He knew that she was falling in love with him again and he would never betray that trust.

"And I need her. All of you can protect this world, you know what you're doing just as well as I do. Now excuse me while I finish this," Tommy said as he tinkered with the teleportation grid. When he had come back, he had managed to bring several things from that world with him- enough things that he could trace his way back. And he was going to do that- whether his friends wanted him to or not. "I am not leaving her there alone."

"She's not alone. What about those two guys? Sam and Dean? They'll take care of her. I'm sure they're REALLY taking care of her right now," Jason remarked as Tommy glared at him and he forced back everything that he wanted to say to his former best friend. Now that he knew what he had done with Kimberly, he had a hard time forgiving it. Jason knew what was driving her to him and he had taken advantage of Kim's emotional state.

"None of you are going to stop me, so stop wasting your breath. I've put everything in order in this world. My family knows what is going to happen and that I'm not coming back. It's your turn to guard this planet," Tommy said as he saw the resentment boiling over in all of them. "Say it."

"You're being selfish," Aisha said as Tommy glared at her. There it was. The thing that he knew all of them had been thinking.

"Maybe I am, but she is mine to protect and I'm going to get back to her. Now you can either help me or get the hell out of my way," Tommy said as one by one they turned to leave, except for Billy who was settled against one of the consoles in his lab, watching him closely. "What do you have to say?"

"You know this is a one way trip. I'm not going to be able to make anything to pull you back," Billy said as he tweaked a few parameters and then nodded. He was satisfied that this would get Tommy where he wanted to go, but he hated the idea of losing the both of them. It had been hard for all of them to adjust to Kimberly being gone, it was going to be nearly impossible to adjust to Tommy leaving.

"She's by herself Billy. In a world that has things…she's built to defeat them, she can defeat them, but she…I…things were fixed between us. They were finally really fixed between us. I'm going back to the woman I love Billy," Tommy stated as Billy gave him an understanding look and then motioned for Tommy to take a few steps away from him. "I need to go to this date and time."

"Good luck. You're going to need it," Billy then pressed the sequence and Tommy disappeared in a swirl of light. He knew they had gotten it all correct, he just hoped that Tommy was not going back to something that would tear him apart.

"No. No way. You are not getting out of the car until that thing goes away," Dean said as Kim morphed in the back seat and he stared at her. Her morphed form had always felt a little unsettling, but this took it to the next level. "Sam, a little help."

"She's right. Her going in is the best way to know what is really in there, Plus- we've got company," Sam said as he nodded towards the red and blue lights that had finally been brave enough to catch up with them. Kim tugged on her gloves and checked the clips on her helmet before she jumped out of the car and sprinted towards the tornado in a streak of pink light. "Dean."

"This is not what Tommy meant for us to do when he left us the coordinates of where to go save her," Dean said as he shifted the car into drive and floored it. They needed to stay close, but he just had to get the impala far enough away that it wouldn't be taken.

Kim sprinted through the walls of the tornado, looking for the center. Looking for some peace. She knew that in the middle of all of this there would be peace along with whatever was coming back into this world. She stared up into the sky as she reached the center of the tornado and she saw nothing. She closed her eyes as she finally let the tears slip out. She had expected to find Tommy here. She had expected that the man would move hell and earth to find a way back to her, but now she was here and there was nothing. There was no one, which meant that she had to prepare to fight Lipretere to save this world from what he could do to them.

She sank to her knees and let out a scream into the void. Why was he taken from her? Why did he have to die and now it was up to her to do this alone? Why did she fall for him again just to lose him?

A ray of white light shot up around her and she tried to push herself to her feet, but found that she was stuck. She also felt like something was pulling closer to her, like something was using her as a homing beacon. She looked into the sky and waited. It wouldn't be long now before whatever it was arrived and she would be ready for it. She would be ready to defend her new world.

"That…that's definitely two bodies, right?" Dean asked as he passed the binoculars over to Sam and he took a good look before he nodded. "She fighting them?"

"No. C'mon. We gotta move," Sam said as he glanced around to see the other first responders were starting move towards them. "Either she's been incapacitated or all hell is about to break loose. Neither of those is good and most of the people moving in to save them are civilians."

Kim threw an arm over her shoulder and started walking out of the razed ground, in the direction that she thought the impala had gone. She knew it was stupid to stay morphed, but it was the only way that she even had a chance to move Tommy any distance. Luckily, this version of her protective gear was less innocuous than what she had at the beginning of her pink ranger time. Black top and bottoms, heavy duty gloves and helmet, tiny lines of pink. It almost fit in with the SWAT gear that she could see headed her way.

"Clear the way! There are going to be others!" a man shouted as Kim just kept walking, hoping to hear or see the Winchesters soon. She was not going to tell the man that there were no others. The beings that had 'appeared' were going to walk away from this place again. She stumbled as her steps faltered, but she suddenly felt weight being lifted off of her and glanced over to see Sam had grabbed Tommy's other side and Dean quickly replaced her.

"You good?" Dean asked as Kim shook her head but kept moving. She would have this breakdown once they were able to flee the scene. "You're not going to pass out on us, right?"

"I just need to get to the car," Kim muttered as she pulled her helmet off and gulped in the fresh air. It was the first time that either Sam or Dean had seen her in uniform like this and it struck them how composed she was with walking through hundreds of people that were trying to see what had really happened in that field. "And he…I don't know what he's going to need."

"We got you," Sam said as they laid Tommy into the back seat and she moved to where she could place his head in her lap. "You noticing anything?"

"He has a scar, on his face, it wasn't there before," Kim whispered as she demorphed and finally let the tears fall. "He came back. Lipretere must have sent him home and he…he came back?"

"I can take a couple of guesses why," Dean said as she locked eyes with him and she just shook her head. She knew what he was going to say, but she didn't know that she could hear it right now. There was only one reason that Tommy would make the sacrifice of leaving their world and that was because he couldn't abandon her. He couldn't leave her in a world by herself. He couldn't do life without her.
