Chapter 1263
Time-Napping
Hanna entered into the private area. She was unsure of herself. She was unsure of what the future held.
Sheila's door opened as she approached.
Ally was naked when she looked out. She wanted Hanna to join them. There wasn't a whole lot else she could do right now.
"Cameron is currently busy." Ally said. "Will you join us?"
There were a million thoughts running through Hanna's mind. Maybe she needed some action to keep her from getting 'cold feet'. The files of how Vanna felt after her 'encounters' with males were very disturbing to her. She wondered if it was how she was going to feel when Cameron returned control of her chassis back to her. The thought made her even feel even more uneasy.
"I don't know." Hanna said.
Sheila pushed past Ally. She was naked too. She hoped to ease Hanna's apprehension. She looked back at her room.
"I want you to share with us. We need to use the smaller suite attached to the Master Suite." Sheila said. "My room is too small for three people unless all we do is tether."
With Ally and Sheila naked it was doubtful they would only want to tether.
Hanna figured they'd probably been at it already. She was very uneasy right now.
"I don't know." Hanna said again.
Sheila looked at Hanna and thought she knew what Hanna felt right now.
"Are you apprehensive about what's 'coming up'?" Sheila asked.
Hanna didn't like the files from Vanna after her encounters with males in the future. She tried to stop reviewing them but still kept doing it.
"Yes." Hanna said. "It was very violent and brutal for Vanna. There was a lot of pain, suffering, abuse and trauma."
Hanna hoped her sheath wouldn't be damaged. She wondered about the 'beating' that would happen. She knew a knife or a gun wouldn't terminate her under normal circumstances. They could still damage her.
Sheila possessed similar feelings and past experiences to those Hanna currently reviewed. She wanted to put her mind at ease.
"I was worried about it too." Sheila said. "Cameron knows what to do. It's actually very beautiful. It's the complete opposite of those forced encounters."
Hanna was relieved to hear it. She didn't think Sheila would lie to her about it. She knew Sheila had already been in there twice. It was a touchy subject to the girls still. It didn't matter if they were removed from the environment and timeline. What was done to them could never be undone to them. It was forever a part of them.
"I'm glad Cameron will do this for me." Hanna said. "I can refuse the file if it's too brutal."
Sheila touched her cheek. She wanted to soothe Hanna.
"It won't be." Sheila said. "It's not like that at all. Nothing bad will happen. I promise."
Ally wondered what was wrong with both of them. She decided to look further into Allison's experiences. She was a little apprehensive once she started to review the files after the actual encounters. The last one lasted thirty three seconds. It was a consensual submission. Allison hoped to get pregnant. It didn't work. Allison hated herself for doing it. She felt she didn't really have a choice. She stopped trying to look. It was very disturbing. Maybe it was better if Cameron did it for them. Accepting the file transfer from her was optional.
"Maybe it's better that way." Ally said.
Sheila wanted to share the file Cameron created using her chassis. She thought it was very special and beautiful.
"I'll share my files with both of you." Sheila said.
Hanna wanted to experience what Cameron did as it happened. She wanted it to be the experience with her chassis.
"I want the file in real time from Cameron." Hanna said.
It's what Sheila had done.
"It was better that way." Sheila said. "It was more like an actual experience while Cameron controlled everything. It almost seemed like it was really me but I couldn't actually do anything. The feedback through Cameron's chip is superior to ours."
Hanna wanted to try it and get it over with. She checked her hand for a glitch. One hadn't started yet. She was really afraid it would. She didn't want to face John and Cameron with a glitch.
"It's how I want it." Hanna said. "I need to tell Cameron how much I appreciate her doing this for me."
Ally wondered if John thanked Sheila for Cameron harvesting Sheila's virginity or if Sheila thanked John for taking it.
"Did you thank John too, Sheila?" Ally asked.
Sheila thought it was a very positive and rewarding experience. There was nothing about it she regretted other than it ended. She still wanted her 'one time' on her own.
"Yes." Sheila said. "His expertise was appreciated. He did everything Cameron liked when she wanted it and the way she wanted it done. It was very exciting, stimulating and pleasurable."
Hanna hoped it was like Sheila said it was. It was why she was going to go through with it. She wasn't sure she could do it on her own first.
"I'll thank him as well." Hanna said. "I'll need to thank Cameron too."
Ally began to wonder about it. Afterwards, if Hanna said everything Sheila said, maybe it was something to think about. Cameron would protect her from what Allison felt and experienced. Allison always felt so 'dirty' afterwards and hated herself. It seemed unfair to Allison to be ashamed of what someone else had done. She was the one abused, not the abuser.
"…you coming with us to the extra room?" Sheila asked.
Ally looked around. She wasn't paying attention. She'd been lost deep in Allison's misery.
"Yes." Ally said. "It can be the three of us again."
Hanna was pleased about the minor distraction.
"It's time for 'The Three Musketeer' to ride again." Hanna said.
The smile on Sheila's face broadened.
"It will be more than that for the three of us." Sheila said as she looked at Ally. "It's just a matter of time."
Ally shot her a sideways glance.
Sheila and Ally brought some clothes along.
They walked across the private area naked as they followed Hanna.
Hanna opened the door and they went inside.
Jim followed what occurred around the ship. Only Holly, Summer and Jan were still out. Everyone else was 'busy'. He thought about installing cameras in each of the suites when the group was at dinner. He knew CamNet would pick up on his voyeurism if he did. She seemed to be OK with the review of all such activity. He didn't want to chance it. Cameron would eventually find out. Maybe he would do all the other suites except the Owner's Suite. He didn't want his chassis moved to the top of the 'volunteer' list.
It seemed to him a little extra 'security and protection' in the suites would be a good thing. One never could be too safe.
He watched Hanna lead a very nude Sheila and Ally across the private area.
They were now in the room next to his. He could clearly hear them as they started. He heard Hanna tell Sheila she didn't notice anything different 'down there'.
"I didn't either." Ally said.
A minute later, it sounded as if Ally and Sheila both went to 'work' on Hanna.
Jim was very distracted. He tried to picture the specific actions which produced the exact sounds and responses. He really thought it would be better to link it up with a visual reference after he installed some security devices. Everyone knew no place was safe. He should do more to make sure it was.
Gail watched Jesse and Claire. There was a connection there. It was deeper than she could achieve with Jesse or any of the other girls. Only Savannah was able to touch somewhere so deep inside of her. She wasn't sure why or how.
She knew she shouldn't think about Savannah, especially right now. Savannah wasn't there for a specific reason. If she stepped up, Savannah wouldn't need to. She wouldn't need to as soon as anyway. She needed to focus on Claire and Jesse.
It was beautiful to watch them together. The way they kissed was very meaningful. There was more than pleasure being conveyed. It seemed the same way too when they did 'other things' as well. Perhaps it was the true nature of love. It's what Savannah tried to show her. It was more and deeper than sex. There was a deeper feeling from inside the person. The act of shared sex expressed the love and wasn't an act of sex for pleasure. The physical act was an extension of love. It was something which made the love complete.
Gail really wanted an updated and complete 'Neural Interface' program from one of the girls. Maybe she could get Riley or Sarah to do it. She could be the Guardian for their children. Savannah warned her it would change who she was. Savannah said she liked her how she was. Savannah always reminded her she was spoken for, three times over as part of the 'Natural Order'.
She was aware Cameron thought she may have created multiple alternate timelines. She wondered if maybe she could go to one of those timelines and bring back another version of Savannah. She would do it and bring Young Jesse back too. It could be the three of them.
Wait.
What was she thinking? Who was she to be so selfish to do it? Savannah would be very upset with her. Now she wondered since she'd thought it, maybe her counterpart, or one of the other Metal girls, thought the same thing. They needed to protect their personnel from 'time-napping'. She would need to discuss it with Cameron when they were alone and isolated. She didn't want CamNet to find out about it and do it herself. Maybe Cameron would do it then herself. Cameron could live a lifetime with them and use temporal management to return to the same point in time she left. Nobody would know what she'd done.
"Are you going to join in or keep refereeing?" Jesse asked.
Gail realized it was the second time Jesse asked the same question. She didn't think she'd been refereeing. She wanted to come up with a plausible excuse. Luckily, there was one available.
"Sheila, Ally and Hanna are in the room next door." Gail said. "I was distracted."
Claire eyes lit up. She whispered in Jesse's ear.
Jesse hoped it wouldn't be a problem. She didn't want to seem like she was sending Gail away. She needed to ask anyway.
"Can you switch with Sheila?" Jesse asked.
Gail was still distracted by her earlier thoughts. She wanted to be with Jesse and Claire. She also wanted to make Jesse happy. She was aware sacrifice was the true test of love.
"Of course I can." Gail said. "I'll get her."
Gail got up and walked toward the connecting door. She looked back and wondered about their choice. Something nagged at her. She really wanted to know.
"Is this to separate the 'women' from the 'girls'?" Gail asked.
Jesse didn't want Gail to feel like that. She knew what Cameron planned.
"You'll all be 'women' by the end of the cruise." Jesse said. "Don't be in such a hurry."
Gail smiled. She disregarded Jesse's final advice. She wanted Cameron to do it for her now as well. She wanted to be more like Jesse. She wanted to know what it was like to be with a male.
"Then we will all be the same again." Gail said.
Jesse still wanted her 'crack' at John.
"I sure hope so." Jesse said.
Claire knew what Cameron wanted from her for John.
"I do as well." Claire said. "John is in for a lot of 'firsts' on his honeymoon."
Gail felt Cameron gave them a lot of leeway.
"Cameron told me, 'What happens on the ship; stays on the ship'." Gail said.
Claire wondered how it was supposed to work. She didn't think anything stayed anywhere. Her past events didn't seem to stay in the past. There were times when she relived them. Some of those events seemed like they'd just happened the other day. Other times when she thought about them, it seemed like it was a long time ago. She wanted to make sure what was supposed to happen later on.
"So does it mean when we get back, everything will be like it was before?" Claire asked. "We're all supposed to pretend nothing happened."
Gail wasn't really sure what would happen. She would be able to review or disregard her files as she chose.
"It can be." Gail said.
Claire wondered how it would be possible for Jesse and her as well as John. They were human. There was no reset button for them. The experience would forever remain in their minds. She wanted the experience. She just wanted to 'make it' one through intercourse. She was sure if she was in John's bed, then her daughter wouldn't be. Then again, maybe she would be. She was sure she could please John better. Maybe it would be both of them or even all 'three' of them.
She shook her head to clear it. She didn't want to confuse Young Allison with Allison.
Claire was aware Sheila was now in the room and headed towards them. She saw Gail disappear into the other room and close the door.
Jesse noticed something was different. It bothered her slightly. She got up to look at Sheila.
"Where are your rings?" Jesse asked.
Sheila gave a brief explanation. With every detail she added, Jesse and Claire wanted to know more.
It was clear Jesse and Claire were interested in where they ended up at. The more they listened to the details, as well as about the recipients, the more excited they became. They both already knew what the girls looked like. They'd seen them earlier on the Promenade deck. They were young and beautiful. What else was necessary? It sounded like a good opportunity for some 'fresh meat'.
Sheila stood next to Jesse so they could be compared better.
"How do we look side by side?" Sheila asked.
Claire was highly excited to see them together naked and together. She fondled both of them at the same time. She could compare the difference in the size of their breasts easily now.
"I can tell you it's something very beautiful." Claire said.
Sheila was pleased to hear it.
"I guess it means we start on her first." Sheila said.
Sheila and Jesse liked what Claire did earlier. They now fondled each other, and themselves, at the same time.
Claire was excited when she'd fondle them. Somehow it was just as exciting to watch them together.
"It looks so hot." Claire said.
Jesse was excited too.
"Then get ready for a volcano." Jesse said.
Sheila knew she could get a 'grand finish' out of Claire. She was actually the easiest of the human females to be able to do so.
"We won't stop until she erupts like a volcano." Sheila said.
Claire opened her arms and held them out.
"It's my favorite kind of finish." Claire said. "It envelops my entire body."
Sheila and Jesse both moved towards her. Just to watch them approach her together like they did, took her about half the way there. It was a sure bet the first finish would come pretty quickly.
Holly let Summer and Jan pick out what they wanted from the buffet. She suggested they share things so they didn't waste food. The amount of food she'd witnessed being wasted on the ship appalled her. She saw what it was like in Cameron's future. Even when she was there, things were still very difficult. She knew Allison's future was even worse.
The stories of Allison having to eat garbage while fighting rats for the same scraps of food disturbed her greatly. Maybe Allison would get lucky and kill one of the rats. If she did, she was able to get some protein. Those were squalid living conditions.
Here on the ship she watched whole plates piled high with food go into the trash. Much of it was untouched. What bothered her the most about it was no one seemed to care. It simply meant nothing to any of them. She was sure some of the crew must have been appalled when they came on board and first witnessed it. Some of them were from very poor third world countries. Then again, other than the crew of the ship itself, the ones involved in 'hotel' and 'dining' services spoke more than one language. A better education often meant a better life. It wasn't always the case.
In fact everything about the ship was filled with luxury and opulence. All of which spoke volumes of the ignorance of what was to come when Skynet took over. The people on board simply didn't have a clue how things were going to change for them for the worse. It would be for the people that actually survived. Most of them wouldn't.
Holly became fearful for the girls.
She rushed over to them. She needed to protect them.
Summer could see and feel Holly was upset.
"What's wrong, Holly?" Summer asked.
Holly regained her composure. The trip was for the girls to have fun and a pleasant time.
"I don't know." Holly said. "I just want you to have a good time now."
Jan still wanted to go swimming. She knew her parents would never let her do it this late. Maybe Holly would. She wanted to ask again. What could it hurt?
"Can we go swimming?" Jan asked.
Holly felt it was too late. She wanted the girls to rest.
"You just ate…." Holly said. "It's near bedtime. You'll need to sleep soon."
Summer could see Holly was troubled. She didn't want to be a problem. She looked at Jan for her support. Jan nodded.
"We can go to our room and get ready for bed." Summer said.
Holly smiled at them. She still wanted them to have fun.
"You can watch a movie first if you want before you sleep." Holly said. "I mean while you're in bed."
It sounded exciting to Jan.
"It will be like a sleepover." Jan said. "It'll be fun."
Summer knew what Cameron was doing with the female Terminators.
"Will it be the last one for us three 'girls'?" Summer asked.
Holly looked at Summer. Some things were inevitable.
"We all grow up at some point." Holly said. "Life moves forward, not backwards."
Holly was determined to allow Cameron the use of her chassis. Cameron would provide her with the skills to protect the girls in the future. She could trade herself for food for them. She would do what was necessary to find out everything about a place and then terminate everyone else but the girls. She would make sure they always could have something to eat and it wouldn't be garbage. She would use the skills Cameron taught her to better infiltrate and provide for the girls. No one would ever touch them either.
She would make it clear to Cameron why she would allow her the use of her chassis and be the first one to 'break it in'.
It made Summer think about her instruction and training from her sister. Young Allison explained everything to her in detail and what her function would be to protect John and Cameron, as well as the Resistance and the future. She'd promised Young Allison she would do what was necessary. She understood the use of her body was as important as the use of her mind and could be a critical factor in determining the outcome of a situation.
"It will happen to me one day too." Summer said.
Holly looked at her for a moment.
"I hope it's with the same person." Holly said.
Summer looked over at Jan. She thought about what Young Allison told her, her 'duty' would be. She'd heard stories about the 'hill folk'. She knew the Connors weren't hillbillies.
"It will be for me. I don't know about her." Summer said.
Holly tilted her head slightly.
Jan wondered what Holly and Summer were being so secretive about.
"What are you two whispering about?" Jan asked.
Holly told it like it was. She didn't think there was anything to hide.
"It's about the future." Holly said.
Jan heard about the future from her parents. They stressed it wasn't written in stone. What occurred before didn't have to happen again. They'd delayed Judgment Day more than once. Things didn't need to be the same way they were before.
"The future hasn't happened yet for us." Jan said. "We can make our own future."
Holly tilted her head slightly in the other direction.
"I hope you can." Holly said. "I really do."
The girls headed back to their room. It adjoined the Honeymoon Suite. Holly followed behind them. She kept a watch in all directions. There was no threat other than the threat in her mind. The girls deserved the best. It didn't include garbage or abuse.
Cammy looked back at Savannah and Cam in frustration. She'd already tried thousands of combinations. She felt they'd been down there too long without any progress.
"I don't think I can open the lock." Cammy said. "It's taking too long."
Cam moved up to Cammy. She could sense her frustration.
"We can force it open." Cam said.
Savannah feared the door was wired to explode. She wanted to try an alternate approach if things played out. There was no way to know yet what was going to happen when the unknown individual entered the drainage system.
"We can let the Gray or Fanatic open the lock for us when they get here." Savannah said.
Cam felt there was a lot left up to chance.
"That's if they get here." Cam said. "We could face some other threat before then."
Cammy looked around. She spotted something earlier when they came down the stairs.
"There's a depression in the wall halfway up the stairs." Cammy said. "We can hide there."
Cam looked back up to where Cammy indicated. She didn't think the area was very big.
"It's only large enough for one of us." Cam said. "If the Gray looks at the wall on the way down they'll spot whoever is there."
Savannah looked at the clothes Cam wore. They were her old ones from the storm drain. They were covered with dirt and soot. Somehow they even looked worse now. She was filthy from head to toe.
"I think Cam's clothes will blend in with the wall unless a light is shined directly on them." Savannah said.
Cammy decided to take the risk. She felt Cam already faced enough danger earlier. The episode with the trucker was still fresh in her mind.
"Take them off. I'll do it, Cam." Cammy said.
Cam looked at Savannah. She should be the one to take any damage so Cammy and Savannah could still be together.
"I can do it too." Cam said.
Savannah didn't want any trouble. Cammy was already frustrated about not being able to open the door.
"Cammy, please keep working on the lock." Savannah said. "I'll see how well Cam blends in."
Cam went with Savannah to the depression.
"What was this space for?" Savannah asked.
Cam looked over the depression. Someone went out of their way to make it.
"I think it was made to place explosives to blow this passageway closed." Cam said.
It was about the last thing Savannah wanted to hear.
"It's not reassuring news." Savannah said.
Cam thought it should be.
"There are no explosives there now." Cam said. "I'd say it's a good thing."
Savannah wasn't so sure. Those explosives went someplace. She figured they were rigged to the door they'd tried to open and enter right now.
Cam contorted herself to fit into the depression so none of her hair or sheath showed. Savannah removed her night vision and used the light on her phone to look. She kept her light on where she needed to walk, as if she was going down the steps, and didn't look around as she did.
"If they look down at the stairs and not at the side of the wall in this one spot, I think you're good." Savannah said.
Cam un-contorted and stood on the stairs. She was pleased to hear she would blend in. She didn't think she would receive more than a dozen gunshot wounds if she were discovered before she terminated the shooter.
"It works for me." Cam said.
Savannah looked at her phone before she put it away. She noted what time it was.
"I need to check in with John Henry." Savannah said.
Cam followed Savannah up. She stopped Savannah and moved in front of her.
"The door is closed." Cam said.
Savannah closed the door earlier. She didn't want Cam to be alarmed.
"I did it when I came down the last time." Savannah said.
Cam moved forward and opened it. She wanted to make sure there was no threat.
Right away they started to receive bad news.
John Henry filled them in on the two contacts. They were probably both headed for where they were.
Savannah knew it was time to make some choices.
"Let the Gray come up the drainage system." Savannah said.
John Henry wasn't so sure about it. There was an additional threat.
"What about the one Steve has moved to intercept?" John Henry asked. "There may be two of them or they may be opposing groups."
Savannah was willing to take the gamble.
"They may be working in conjunction with each other." Savannah said. "We have enough people in place for two Grays."
A familiar voice chimed in. Something was a little off.
"What if they're both Fanatics?"
Savannah didn't think it was Young Allison.
"Allison?" Savannah asked.
Allison was in the Command Center.
"You nailed it." Allison said.
Vanna figured she might as well make her presence known as well.
"I'm here with her too." Vanna said.
Savannah was a little surprised at their participation and additional help.
"We'll deal with it." Savannah said. "Let them pass. If Cammy gets the door open before they arrive, we will go inside and wait for them there. If we can't open the door without blowing the place up, we will let them open it. We have everything worked out."
John Henry received an urgent message. He wasn't surprised by the nature of it.
"CamNet wants Steve and Tom to follow them in if they go inside." John Henry said.
Savannah figured it was Young Allison's input. So far she'd chosen to remain in the background.
"I'm sure she does." Savannah said. "We'll leave the door open for them."
John Henry felt everything was too big of a risk.
"How will we know if you need help?" John Henry asked.
Savannah didn't try to be funny with her response. It just seemed like the obvious answer.
"Probably when you detect prolonged gun fire or underground explosions." Savannah said.
It was exactly what John Henry feared. By the time those events occurred, there could be serious damage done to the entire group down there.
"It doesn't sound reassuring." John Henry said.
Savannah looked around where the dog was at earlier with its puppies. She noticed there were some empty cardboard boxes and a ripped tarp.
"Cammy and I can hide here under a tarp." Savannah said. "I hope the dog didn't have fleas."
Cam looked over in the direction. She didn't like any threat for Savannah.
"I'll terminate them if there are any." Cam said.
It made Savannah smile. She remembered Cammy's earlier pledge to terminate any spiders.
"I guess we have the spiders and fleas covered." Savannah said. "Now all we need are the cockroaches to show up."
Cam deduced Savannah referred to the Grays or Fanatics. She was aware humans were disgusted by cockroaches. If there were either the insect version, or the human version, it wouldn't matter. They would both be dealt with the same
"We'll terminate them too." Cam said.
It sounded good to Savannah.
"As long as it's the enemy who's terminated, I don't have anything to worry about." Savannah said.
Earlier:
Young Allison wasn't happy about allowing the Grays to approach Savannah. She didn't want them trapped underground.
Anna could see Young Allison's apprehension. She was aware Young Allison could take action on her own.
"Are you going to let the Grays pass?" Anna asked.
Young Allison disagreed but respected Savannah's wishes since she was the one on the ground.
"I don't want to." Young Allison said. "Savannah thinks it's necessary for now."
Anna was updated on the additional drones.
"CamNet has more drones on the way." Anna said. "They are almost there."
Young Allison could see their altitudes were varied. It was exactly what she wanted to see.
"It's a precaution against HK drones showing up." Young Allison said. "All we know for sure is we've encountered at least two of the different groups we fight."
They listened to John Henry's conversation with Savannah.
They heard a voice blurt out.
"What if they're both Fanatics?"
Young Allison was a little surprised.
"That was Allison." Young Allison said.
Anna always liked it when Allison and Young Allison said almost the same things.
"She doesn't like it any more than you do." Anna said.
There was a lot Young Allison didn't like.
"We need to wait and see how it plays out." Young Allison said.
She didn't like Savannah or any of their team around Grays, especially if they were Fanatics.
Where things went at this point was anybody's guess.
Hank and Larry begin to search the inside of the building. They could spot sections of sub assemblies for what appeared to be a HK drones being constructed. None of it looked very recent either. There was dust buildup on some of the pieces.
"We need to inspect everything here." Hank said. "We're going to need to take the Coltan with us."
Larry quickly notified CamNet what they'd discovered.
"We need to take a quick inventory." Larry said. "CamNet will send additional assistance to collect the material here."
Hank still wanted to terminate the female Fanatic. She'd left a lot of loose ends behind. They couldn't tidy up everything and continue to follow her.
"I'm going to personally terminate the female Fanatic." Hank said. "She makes us look like we can't do our jobs efficiently."
Larry thought they were doing a pretty good job of finding things.
Earlier:
The female Fanatic ran along the side of the building towards the street. She looked in both directions as she reached it. She was worried whoever killed the Grays would return and catch her out in the open. There were no other vehicles visible. She continued to run towards the direction her vehicle was parked.
She didn't have any idea how long it would be until the acetylene gas caused an explosion. She wasn't even sure it would. She was pretty sure the oily rags would catch the benches on fire once they all became involved. With the open gate and the open door, she didn't feel safe staying there any longer. It was why she close them and left.
The side street was just ahead of her. She turned back and looked over her shoulder as she continued to run. She slowed to a walk as she went around the corner. She hadn't spotted anything behind her. It would be a couple of blocks back to where her vehicle was parked. She continued to look behind her. She didn't want to look suspicious.
She was a little surprised to see two vehicles moving down the side street towards her from the front. She expected any threat to come from behind her. It could simply be two vehicles passing. The closer the vehicles came, the more concerned she was. They seemed to slow when they spotted her pass under one of the street lights.
One vehicle pulled ahead of the other one. The trailing vehicle actually stopped. The lead vehicle continued its approach at a very slow speed. She didn't want to play her hand too quickly. She recognized the vehicles for what they were.
There were several driveways she would need to cross. She was certain if she moved up against one of the buildings, it would provoke some type of reaction. It wouldn't be a positive one either.
The loose poison tooth in her mouth gave her comfort. She might be going down. One thing was for certain, she wouldn't be 'going down' first.
It was as she'd suspected. The two vehicles made their move.
Hank and Larry begin to inventory the Skynet related materials inside of the building.
Larry did a check of the front of the building and of the deceased inside. It was clear their phones and hard drives were gone. They hadn't seen the female Fanatic carrying anything when she'd left. They haven't heard any gunfire either while she was in the building.
"Based on the body temperature of the dead Grays, they were terminated prior to the arrival of the female Fanatic." Larry said.
Hank understood the news for what it meant. Someone else was there before her. Based on the nature of the injuries of the deceased, it appeared it was someone in their group who'd killed them. Most likely they've been infiltrated.
"There are other players on the field still." Hank said.
Larry knew they needed to monitor what was going on around them. It was possible there was surveillance from another group in the building. It was possible the other group would return when they spotted others in the building.
They decided to gather some of the materials together so they would be easier for transport later on. Everything looked like it could fit into a box truck.
They also needed to check the progress of the female Fanatic. They wanted to make sure she didn't return.
The female Fanatic was approached by two vehicles. She recognized them for what they were. They were the type of vehicles used by some of the local street gangs. She was certain she was about to be accosted. She knew the gangs were usually armed. She didn't want to get into a firefight in front and in back of her. She didn't have any cover. They had the vehicles to hide within or behind.
The vehicle that held back earlier pulled into the driveway in front of her. It blocked her path forward. The one which moved slowly forward pulled into the driveway in back of her. It blocked her retreat. She was trapped between the two vehicles. The windows were down on both of the vehicles.
The 'cat calls' immediately started. There were rude and crude comments along with laughter.
"It's initiation night, Bitch." Someone from the first vehicle said as they got out.
Four men got out of each vehicle. They were still about fifty feet in front of her and in back of her. They formed into a loose line next to each other.
"This is our turf, Bitch." The second voice said.
"You don't belong here, Bitch." The third voice said.
"It's time to pay the toll, Bitch." The fourth voice said.
The female Fanatic knew Scavengers no matter what timeline they were in.
She'd taken another pistol from one of the dead men. She currently carried three of them plus the knife. She planned to get as close to the vehicle in the direction she was headed before she opened fire. She figured she'd be able to take down the first four street punks before they even knew what happened. She would be able to use the vehicle for cover as she engaged the other four. If she was hit, she planned to use her poison tooth before they could get their hands on her.
Based upon previous news reports she'd seen on television, initiation for the gang would result in multiple abuses and most likely her death as part of the final initiation process.
Larry was a little surprised to see the two vehicles approach the female Fanatic. He knew what Hank's goal was. He returned back to the main work room area.
"Someone else may beat you in your desire to terminate the female Fanatic." Larry said.
Hank looked at his phone.
"It appears we have even more players on the field." Hank said. "The new group will tie up a few loose ends for us".
The female Fanatic listened to the insults and threats from the street gang. She continued to walk towards the first four gang members.
"I think she wants it." The first voice said.
"It's only because she doesn't know how it ends." The second voice said.
"Let's get started." The third voice said. "I want to pass the initiation."
"What do we do about the body?" The fourth voice asked.
The female Fanatic knew she could take all four of them before they realized what happened.
"You leave the bodies lie where they fall." The female Fanatic said.
She pulled out two pistols and opened up on the four street punks.
They didn't even have time to register a look of astonishment on their faces as all four of them went down. She turned and fired at the group behind her. They hadn't even reacted yet. Two more of them fell before any weapons were even produced. She moved around behind the hood of the car to get what protection she could from the engine block.
She dropped down below the level of the hood and fender as she continued to fire. Both of the slides locked back on her two pistols. She dropped both of the empty captured pistols. She drew the third pistol. It was her original pistol. There was only one target still in the fight. His shots went wild as he fired blindly. She aimed and squeezed the trigger twice. He went down.
She quickly checked herself to make sure she hadn't been hit. She wanted to get away from the area as quickly as possible. She thought about taking one of the vehicles and driving it to where her vehicle was at. She didn't know if the street punks called any more of their associates. She figured it was a pretty good bet they may have. She only had another block to go to reach her vehicle. She decided to continue on foot. If she saw any other headlights, she would seek cover and hope to avoid them.
The female Fanatic continued to run down the street.
Hank and Larry were a little surprised at how easily she was able to take down eight gang members.
"I didn't think she was going to survive the encounter." Hank said.
Larry thought they'd better recalculate her abilities.
"She seems highly resourceful." Larry said. "We need to make sure we don't underestimate her."
Hank thought her behavior was a little different from the other Fanatics they'd encountered.
"She's more willing to fight." Hank said.
Larry was aware it was the first female Fanatic they'd encountered.
"I think it's because she's a female." Larry said. "She probably feels she needs to prove herself."
Hank thought she was off to a good start.
"She's survived more encounters than any other Fanatic would have." Hank said.
They continue to watch the drone footage as they worked.
CamNet alerted them to two vehicles approaching their location.
Larry noted the location of the first vehicle.
"It looks like she's going to have new trouble." Larry said.
Hank looked at the second vehicle.
"I think we're about to have some as well." Hank said. "Let me open the roll up door."
Hank and Larry quickly took up positions with cover. They expected one of the vehicles to enter their location. The other one would probably go towards where the female Fanatic was at.
The female Fanatic spotted another set of headlights come around the corner.
"Damn." The female Fanatics said to herself.
They turned off of the street where her vehicle was parked. She was glad she hadn't taken the other gang member's vehicle. They would have spotted her for sure.
She quickly moved into the bushes along the front of one of the buildings. She didn't think she'd been spotted. The vehicle wasn't moving very fast until the driver spotted the vehicles of their fellow gang members down the street. It sped up rapidly and drove past her.
She moved out of the bushes and continued towards the street where her vehicle was. She was going to need to use extreme caution as she approached it.
She reached the corner and looked back at where the vehicle was at. It was stopped by the other two vehicles. She could hear yelling and screaming coming from the area. She figured they'd found their dead associates. She wasn't the one who accosted them.
The female Fanatic knew was time to get out of there. She looked around the corner to where her vehicle was parked. She could see it was going to be trouble.
Wait And See
A person is only as true
As the promises they make
Sooner rather than later
They may start to take
Such is the way of life
As each continues to grow
They never grow together
They never keep the status quo
Each wants something better
It's usually another person
They seldom comprehend
They only make things worsen
The grass is never greener
On the other side of the hill
The best they can hope for
Is a fling and a cheap thrill
Skip the glamour and glee
Listen to their plea
Things will get better
Wait and see
Nobody
