Chapter 1275

What Is The Target

John Henry went over the plan with everyone in the field. It was time for action. Everyone was in place.

Cam still wanted to go in alone. She thought it was the safest thing for everyone. Now she would be there to catch anyone who came out of the building instead. They might be able to get a 'live one'. She would really like to take a prisoner into custody so she could get some answers. She planned to question them Terminator style.

To get things started, they would serve up a fiery surprise. They hoped to try and drive anyone out who was inside with a 'controlled burn'.

"I want everyone to hit the windows and doors at the same time." Cam said. "You may proceed."

Steve and Tom armed their three Thermite grenades. They tossed one inside a side window and two on the roof.

Al and Ed tossed two in the windows on their side and one on the roof.

Richard and Michael tossed one against an entry door in the rear and two against a roll up door in the back. There was one small window between the two doors. The last Thermite grenade was thrown hard, it smashed through the glass. It exploded inside and showered everything with burning Thermite.

The result was all the exits, except for the front, were now blocked and on fire with Thermite. It wasn't easily extinguished. If someone wanted to get out, there was only one way. It was out the front. Cam was ready for them.

Steve and Al would move up from each side to reinforce Cam. They waited at the front corners off to the side while Cam waited out in front across the street. They were all far enough away from the building in case it blew up. It was a real concern. They'd all seen the after effects of some of the buildings the Fanatics had been in.

They still didn't know for sure what group they were dealing with. It all seemed like a setup to them. They decided to play it safe at Young Allison's urging.

Savannah watched drone and body cam footage of the strike. Cammy and John Henry did as well.

Cammy was plugged in now. She was to supplement John Henry and provide Savannah with specific details. She would currently play the role of Anna to Young Allison for Savannah. It was so John Henry wouldn't be disturbed.

Savannah watched as the Thermite grenades all found their mark. Fire lapped out of the windows immediately. The doors were burnt off very quickly. The exits were blocked. The fire on the roof spread rapidly.

"I would expect someone to come out soon if they're in there." Savannah said. "The place looks pretty toasty."

Cammy could see the rear half of the structure was fully engulfed.

"You'd think so." Cammy said. "The rear half of the building is a raging inferno."

The drone footage didn't show movement anywhere.

"What about any emergency response personnel?" Savannah asked.

John Henry was on top of it. Any police or fire units already out, were far away from there.

"Anything on patrol is five miles away. No calls will reach the fire department." John Henry said. "In fact, there haven't been any calls made to 911 at all."

Savannah watched and waited. Nothing happened. Their intel was solid. It should be a viable lead, unless it was what Cam suspected, a trap. The more the building burnt, the more it seemed like a set up. Someone should have come out of the building.

"Something should have happened by now." Savannah said.

There was a sudden change in the way their troops acted and responded.

Savannah noticed the body cams were all in motion.

Four of the drones were moving rapidly as well.

Savannah didn't see what she'd missed somehow.

"What's happening?" Savannah asked.

Someone put events into motion. It appeared the trap had been sprung.

Moments ago:

Young Allison and Anna watched the Thermite grenades start the fires.

"What did the last low pass from the drone show?" Young Allison asked.

Young Allison wanted some last minute drone scans.

"Nothing was detected." Anna said.

They watched the fire spread.

Young Allison didn't like the inactivity. She remembered Cam's apprehension earlier. Maybe this was a sucker play after all. She needed to evaluate the entire area again. She was sure they'd missed something. She didn't want to be caught flat footed. Someone was trying to get the drop on them. She wasn't going to bite. She was going to act.

"I want all the drones to have the missiles and guns hot." Young Allison said.

Anna looked at the images. She wondered what for. Nothing there was different.

"What is the target?" Anna asked.

Young Allison wasn't going to take a chance and wait. The battle was on as far as she was concerned.

"The target is anything around there that's not our team." Young Allison said. "I want four drones to make very low altitude passes and scan the surrounding buildings on the four sides which face the burning building. I want the miniguns ready to go. Engage any heat signature that's detected. I want a 'Maximum Effort' response. I want it right NOW. I want everyone on the ground to drop down and move to another position immediately."

Anna passed the word.

CamNet took instant action. Anything which wasn't their team was a target to be engaged with all weapons available. 'Maximum Effort' meant everything there.

Seconds ago:

Cam watched the building burn. Nothing seemed to happen yet other than the fire. Anyone inside should have tried to make it outside by now. The thick black smoke pouring out of the building, indicated human life would expire rapidly inside.

She heard several drones approach their positions at the same time she received the warning to drop down to the ground and move away from where she'd been. The command was directly from Young Allison. It was for everyone there to follow.

Cam felt the impact in her back before she heard the shot. She was already on the way down to the ground when it happened. She'd just taken a round.

She impacted the ground and quickly rolled away. There were other shots fired elsewhere at almost the same time.

Everything was almost instantly blocked out by minigun fire from multiple weapons. There was gunfire from all directions.

Cam believed it was clear Young Allison thwarted the team from being caught in a well planned ambush. They still took a few hits. It wasn't what it would have been if they'd waited one second longer to move. It was why Cameron gave Savannah and Young Allison the ability to 'make' them listen. It was a good thing on more than one occasion. Where they were at now was clearly one of them.

Savannah watched the body cam footage all but disappear as the Terminators scrambled to get down on the ground and find new positions.

It seemed before the Terminators were even on the ground there were drones at low altitude firing into two of the buildings. They'd come down into point blank range to press their attacks. One was across the street and the other was on the north side.

Cam reported being hit.

Savannah could see it upset Cammy.

"I should be there." Cammy said.

John Henry knew 'feelings' like hers shouldn't be dwelt on. He didn't want to point out to Cammy if she was there, most likely Savannah would be there as well. It would be an even bigger problem for everyone.

"You're not." John Henry said. "Cam suspected this was going to happen."

The front of the burning building exploded.

Savannah wasn't sure what happened.

"Was it a missile strike?" Savannah asked.

John Henry didn't see a missile.

"No." John Henry said. "It was probably a booby trap for whoever went in the front door. It may have been 'command detonated' too."

Savannah was worried about their troops. Cam was hit. There were probably others who were damaged as well.

"What's the report on the Terminators?" Savannah asked.

In an instant, all of the footage from the location went blank.

"I've lost everything." John Henry said.

Savannah wondered if it was a Skynet jamming field. It could be something the anti-Metal faction was using too. If the group who'd ambushed them set off an EMP, their troops on the ground were going to be in serious jeopardy.

She really wished she was there right now. She'd been able to help their troops before when they were affected in such a manner.

To think back on some of those past events, sent chills down her spine. She been able to stay in the fight, when everyone else was down or incapacitated. She knew if she was there right now, it could be the same thing. She wouldn't hesitate to bring the fight to the enemy.

Seconds ago:

Young Allison watched the drones drop down and almost immediately open fire with the miniguns.

Anna spotted heat signatures in buildings which weren't there five seconds ago.

"There are multiple targets." Anna said. "They've only just appeared."

It was clear the team was in a well orchestrated ambush. It was what Cam feared. Young Allison unleashed CamNet to respond with maximum force just in time. Some of their troops were hit.

Young Allison wanted to know what the damage was. The battle just started. It was bound to get worse.

"What about our Terminators?" Young Allison asked.

There was only one report.

"Cam's been hit." Anna said. "She's still functional."

Young Allison didn't like the sound of it. A lot of things could go wrong and she would still be functional. She hoped for a better update. There were probably others hit as well.

"Who else is damaged?" Young Allison asked.

Anna didn't receive any additional reports.

"Only Cam reports being hit." Anna said.

Young Allison was angry at herself.

"I didn't see this coming." Young Allison said.

Anna thought otherwise. It was a bold move which paid off. If things hadn't been set in motion as soon as Young Allison requested them, there could have been more damage and even possibly some terminations.

"You unleashed CamNet at the same time the attacker's began to show themselves." Anna said. "You broke up the ambush before it could be implemented. You surely saved our troops from massive damage."

Young Allison was still dissatisfied. She didn't want anyone damaged.

"I didn't think it would be so widespread of an attack." Young Allison said.

Anna thought the response was perfect. She knew Young Allison was worried because Cam was hit with unknown damages.

"The drones appear to have ended the immediate threat." Anna said. "You were able to get them into gun range in time. You acted quickly enough."

Anna knew the close in drone attack blew the attackers defense apart. They hadn't expected to face minigun fire at point blank range.

Young Allison wanted to know more about Cam.

"I need to know how badly Cam is hit." Young Allison said.

Anna received an update. It was good news.

"Her vest stopped the round." Anna said. "There should only be a small bruise, if even that."

All the screens went blank.

Young Allison now feared a new threat. She hoped it wasn't an EMP. There were no humans there to assist the Terminators if it was.

Normally Savannah would be in the thick of it. She was at the base. They'd all worked to keep Savannah out of it. It looked like she needed to be there at this point.

Young Allison needed to know more. She needed to know it now.

"What went wrong?" Young Allison asked.

Anna knew what it looked like.

"It appears to be a Skynet jamming field." Anna said.

Only one drone on wide recon wasn't affected.

They now received a sideways look on the target area from a few miles out.

Young Allison feared the worst at this point.

"Prepare to engage HK drones." Young Allison said.

Anna soon picked up multiple aerial contacts.

"There are several groups of HK drones approaching." Anna said. "They're coming from different directions."

It was news no one wanted to hear.

Seconds ago:

Cam received the order to get down and move to a new position. She was hit as she started to move. She could tell her vest stopped the round. She rolled away and was ready to fire her M4 when a minigun from one of their drones chewed up the spot where the gunfire apparently came from.

She didn't hear anyone else report being hit yet. There was more minigun gun fire directed across the street on the side Tom and Steve were on.

A second later, the front of the building she'd wanted to enter exploded. She would have been severely damaged, if not terminated, if she'd been anywhere near the blast.

Cam issued the order to fallback when all communications were lost. It looked like there was a Skynet jamming field in effect. She was unsure if the order was heard. She really hoped it wasn't followed up by an EMP.

She thought they were after the anti-Metal faction. Now it looked like maybe it might be Grays who'd set it up. It meant there could be hostile Terminators lurking around them as well.

The jamming field should have alerted the others of the same things she'd thought of. Now she wondered if there would be hostile HK drones too.

All of the drones would switch to autonomous control at the point they'd lost communications with the Command Center. Each one would need to make its own decision as to what it would do. They would have visual observation of the troops on the ground and the other drones.

They were on their own for right now.

Savannah was relieved to find out Cam's vest stopped the round and she wasn't damaged.

The Skynet jamming field was going to damper their operations.

John Henry attempted a countermeasure. He tried to cut power to the jamming field.

"I've cut all power in a twelve block area." John Henry said. "The jamming field is still in effect."

Savannah wanted to go bigger with the power blockage. They didn't know where it emanated from. Right now they were blind as to the details on the ground.

"Triple it in size." Savannah said. "We need to knock it out."

They watched the events unfold from the Young bunker.

"The power cuts John Henry created haven't produced any effect on the jamming field." Anna said.

Young Allison was ready to have CamNet cut power to the entire city. She would start with half of the Valley to begin with.

"Black out the entire western half of the Valley." Young Allison said. "Do it right now."

Anna thought it was extreme. No one was going to question Young Allison in the middle of a battle.

Anna received confirmation. It was done at once.

"CamNet reports the electrical grid is down." Anna said.

Young Allison's biggest fear was the advancing force of HK drones.

"What about the HK drones?" Young Allison asked.

Young Allison currently knew the exact location of only one of their drones. The rest would need to act independently, based upon the circumstances.

Holly scanned Summer as she slept. She didn't detect her having any dreams yet. She decided to prompt her. It was like they were back at the house again.

She felt very content once she started. Summer seemed to feel the same way too.

Summer liked the voices which soothed her at night. They gave her comfort and guidance. They always gave her mind direction and focus.

Ally and Claire started right in once Claire awakened, so did Jesse and Sheila. There was nothing like a 'midnight snack', even if it was way past midnight. Claire and Jesse were unsure of their partners at first. It didn't really matter. They all cared for each other. They were able to identify them soon enough.

It was dark. It didn't matter to Claire if Ally looked like her daughters. She knew it wasn't one of them anyway. It was still hard for her to picture Allison as her daughter. Ally was the Terminator version of Allison.

To her, her daughters were Young Allison and Summer. Maybe it was the concept of age. Allison was almost her age. Jesse and Vanna were a little older. They were all the same age, more or less.

Bob needed to check on a possible disturbance near the casino. He looked around and noticed Sheila and Ally were gone. He quickly excused himself and left.

Gail and Hanna watched Bob leave. They looked around. Sheila and Ally were missing.

"Hey, Ally and Sheila cut out on us." Hanna said.

Gail didn't think it was a problem.

"They'll turn up." Gail said. "There are only so many places they can go on the ship. I think they made a play because we were both occupied and busy."

Hanna figured it was true. She was sure where they went.

"I think we know where Sheila and Ally are." Hanna said.

Gail wasn't bothered by it. The more Jesse shared, the more freedom it allowed her.

"It's fine with me." Gail said. "Jesse will always be there for me at the end of the day."

Hanna wasn't so sure about Claire. She felt Claire became increasingly promiscuous. It said something if others thought it too, based on all the activity which occurred on a daily basis. They were all ready to share in an instant with each other. It seemed Claire wanted even more. It was probably Cameron's doing as she primed Claire for John. It seemed Claire suffered from 'sausage sickness', and what she believed should happen during a sexual encounter with a male.

"I wish I could say the same about Claire." Hanna said. "She's very sexual and very hungry. She feels the need to make up for her lost years of marriage."

Gail didn't care for the institution of marriage. She thought people should be 'free', or at least the relationship should remain open. It seemed to work the best. Love wasn't meant to be contained in a 'bottle'.

"Marriage does seem rather confining." Gail said. "Jesse has already lived her wild years."

Hanna was sure Sheila was just starting on her wild years.

"I think Sheila picked up where Jesse left off, in more ways than one." Hanna said.

Gail thought Ally and Sheila could share for a while. She wanted to play the piano right now.

Hanna watched Gail play the piano exactly like she'd taught her.

When Gail finished the song Hanna clapped.

Gail wasn't sure if she deserved any applause.

"Was it good or were you just being polite?" Gail asked.

Hanna felt since Gail played it exactly like she had, it must be good.

"It was very good." Hanna said.

Gail knew her performance was a 'copy' or emulation, even if it was very precise. It wasn't organic from within her.

"I understand the mathematics of it." Gail said.

Hanna knew the human girls 'felt' what they played.

"I guess it's one way to look at it." Hanna said. "You need to develop a 'feel' for it."

Gail hoped Savannah would work with her. She thought she could develop the 'feel' from her.

"I'll work on this further." Gail said.

Hanna thought they should give Ally and Sheila a little time but not too much. She didn't like anyone moving in on her 'territory'.

"How much time do you want to give them?" Hanna asked.

It was obvious Hanna referred to Ally and Sheila sharing with their lovers.

Gail always could tell Jesse was highly aroused after she'd been with one or two partners before her.

"Let's give them a few more minutes so they can both finish at least twice." Gail said.

Hanna wanted Claire to rest. She was pregnant after all.

"I'm going to move Claire to the smaller bedroom." Hanna said. "It will allow you and Jesse more privacy. I want Claire to get some sleep."

Gail thought Jesse would be disappointed.

"Jesse likes an audience." Gail said. "It always excites her more to have someone see her finish and know what she just felt."

Hanna knew Sheila liked it too, even if she needed to make an audience.

"So does Sheila." Hanna said.

Hanna and Gail made sure all the musical instruments were returned to where they were when they came in. They exited the rear lounge once everything was in order. Gail knew it was what Savannah would want her to do.

The elevator was waiting for them when they arrived.

They got in and were deposited on their deck without needing to push any buttons. They walked away from the elevator towards the private area. They were in no hurry.

Gail wanted to know from Hanna what it was like for Cameron to 'use' her chassis.

"Can you tell me what it is like?" Gail asked.

Hanna knew what she wanted to know. She felt a verbal explanation could only go so far. She was sure it had been described to her previously.

"Haven't you asked Jesse about it?" Hanna asked.

Gail wasn't sure it was quite the same thing, even if it was. Hanna was a machine like her. Jesse was human. She hoped for some insight.

"I have." Gail said. "She's told me of every sexual encounter she could remember. She was unconscious for some of them. I think it may have been a good thing for her once she described the mess she woke up to."

Hanna knew the trauma Vanna faced in her 'encounters'. What John and Cameron shared was a world of difference from what Vanna endured.

"The future was very brutal." Hanna said. "Cameron and John are nothing like that. It's all pure sweet love and sharing. I would allow them to use my chassis anytime with Cameron in control. There's love there I can't achieve on my own. Cameron is superior to us in everything apparently."

Gail was still a little concerned. It didn't tell her much as to what she would experience. She wondered what would happen and when it would happen.

"What can I expect?" Gail asked. "I feel very apprehensive."

Hanna didn't want to get too descriptive. She wanted to capture the overall feel and experience. She felt Gail would appreciate the file more if everything Cameron did and experienced was a surprise.

"You can expect to feel what it's like when you share with Savannah." Hanna said.

Gail's time with Savannah was her most beautiful experience. If it was the same way, she really wanted Cameron to do it for her.

"I have only been with Savannah once." Gail said. "It was beautiful. I replay the file at least once a day."

Hanna was sure Gail would be pleased with the experience. It was a file worth having and replaying.

"It will be the same way but with more feeling." Hanna said. "Cameron can 'feel' much more than I can on my own. Sheila said the same thing. It will be more rewarding for you this way."

Gail wanted the experience very much now. She would go later today if Holly backed out.

"I'm the least developed of the female cyborgs for feelings and emotions." Gail said. "I'm pleased Cameron will do it for me. Allowing her to have my virginity is a small price to pay to feel true love."

Hanna would encourage any female Terminator to allow Cameron to use their chassis.

"I think the file in real time from Cameron will be very special to you." Hanna said. "It was for me. It was almost like I really did it with John."

Gail hoped it would be a beautiful experience. It filled her with a lot of anticipation.

"I look forward to Cameron losing my virginity for me then." Gail said. "I'll ask Holly too. She's next."

Hanna thought it would be better for Holly too with Cameron in control.

"With Cameron's advanced development, especially when she resets herself, it will be a better experience for you than you could have on your own." Hanna said. "I can promise you it will be."

Hanna could tell Gail wanted to ask her something else.

"Can I be with Claire tonight?" Gail asked.

Hanna was surprised she'd asked for her permission.

"I don't have a problem with it." Hanna said. "We all share."

Gail wanted Claire to instruct her.

"I want her to teach me more." Gail said.

Hanna was unsure where the conversation was headed.

"Do you mean more about the piano?" Hanna asked.

Gail tilted her head slightly. She wanted to be more passionate.

"No. I want to learn how to find or develop passion." Gail said. "I want to be a better lover."

Hanna thought the file from Cameron would cover a lot of the material.

"I think once you get the file from Cameron. You'll understand more." Hanna said.

They entered the private area and approached the Master Suite. They could hear what was going on.

"They're still busy." Hanna said. "We can join them or wait."

Gail didn't want to barge in or impose. She wanted all the experiences to be shared. She never wanted to make anyone feel pressured.

"Let Claire and Jesse finish first." Gail said. "I like when they're happy."

Jim and Cameron were in the Control Center.

Cameron watched the action unfold with Cam's team. She was very displeased at what she saw.

"This is more than the anti-Metal faction." Cameron said.

Jim knew both groups were from the future.

"Perhaps they've upped their game." Jim said.

Cameron was upset Cam was shot earlier.

Things seemed to get worse from there.

"We've lost contact with the group." Jim said.

Cameron could still see the feed from one drone outside the affected area. She was glad they weren't totally blind.

"There's still one drone functioning outside the Skynet jamming field." Cameron said.

Jim didn't want Cameron to get worked up. It wouldn't do her any good.

"There's nothing we can do from here." Jim said.

Cameron could only feel anger.

"No, we can't." Cameron said.

Cameron wished she would have stayed to help. The only thing keeping her from glitching out right now was because Savannah wasn't in the middle of it. She was sure once the enemy was defeated, it would only be a temporary victory. There appeared to be a lot more going on which still needed to be uncovered. She was sure Savannah was going to end up in the thick of it before everything was done. She didn't think any of it was ever done.

Savannah didn't like the turn of events. She wanted to do more or something to help. She was sure there was more to come.

"Cammy, I think we should gear up." Savannah said. "We can be there soon if we hurry."

It sounded like a bad idea to Cammy.

"You need to rest too, Savannah." Cammy said.

Savannah wanted to join the fight. They didn't know how involved it would become or how long it would last. They didn't know what other weapons might be employed.

"We can bring Samantha with us." Savannah said. "I think there are enough changes to her sheath now so she no longer looks exactly the same as she did when her chassis was captured."

John Henry wanted to assist as well.

"I can go too." John Henry said.

Savannah wanted him to remain at his post.

"You're needed here." Savannah said.

John Henry felt he could still play an essential part to assist them.

"Young Allison and CamNet can take over. They practically have anyway." John Henry said. "My server can operate without me. JH does most of the work anyway."

Savannah wanted Young Allison back in bed. She doubted it was going to happen anytime soon.

"What's the latest on the jamming field and the approaching drones?" Savannah asked.

It was the real worry for those in the combat zone. There was no way to warn them what was coming.

Hank and Larry watched as the battle between the vehicles began to unfold.

It appeared the white van closed up too quickly on the four gang vehicles. The last two dropped back from the first two. It was clear they wanted to engage the threat.

The two new Gray arrivals waited at the cross street to ambush the four gang vehicles. It was clear only two of them were proceeding. There were two Grays in each vehicle. They'd parked on each side of the intersection. It appeared the attention of the first two gang vehicles was focused on what was happening behind them.

The Grays in the white van realize they'd been made. It was clear they'd moved up too quickly before the ambush was sprung. Now they were a target. The two gang vehicles turned broadside in the street to block the white van.

The white van turned broadside as well. The sliding door was opened on the side before the van was fully stopped.

The four Grays opened up on the first two gang vehicles as they approached. Both cars were cut to shreds from the automatic fire. The lead gang vehicle spun out as the driver was killed. The second gang vehicle impacted the first one broadside. It caused the first gang vehicle to roll over several times. Everything was stopped in the street. Two bodies had been injected from the wreckage.

Everyone's attention turned towards where the gunfire was down the street.

It was the break the Grays in the van needed. The driver opened fire through the open passenger's window. One Gray got out of the side of the van with a LAW rocket. They fired it at the closest gang vehicle. They hadn't moved far enough away from the van for the back blast from the tube. They'd been in too big of a hurry to use it.

The closest gang vehicle was hit by the rocket. The explosion killed the man inside of it. The other gang vehicle began to return fire.

The back blast hit the driver of the van. He screamed as he was showered with the hot gasses. It caused his foot to slip off of the brake. The van rolled away. It left the man with the fired LAW rocket on his own in the middle of the street.

The Gray dropped the used LAW rocket as soon as he fired it. He was a little surprised to hear the man behind the wheel scream as the van rolled away. He pulled out his pistol as he began to receive return fire from the remaining vehicle. He was hit and went down almost immediately.

The first two Gray vehicles, which sprung the ambush, could see things weren't going well for their side just down the street. Two of the men moved to the center of the street to shoot at the remaining gang vehicle. One of the gang bangers who'd been ejected earlier, shot both of them. They both went down in the street.

The other two Grays were in the process of entering their vehicles. One of them returned fire and killed the gang banger who was ejected earlier. He motioned for the Gray in the vehicle to go down and assist the van. He went to check on the two Grays who went down in the center of the street.

The two men from the remaining gang vehicle continue to shoot at the van. It caught on fire. Whoever was inside of it was clearly dead. They turned their attention back in the direction of the earlier gunfight. They were a little surprised to see a vehicle speeding towards them. They opened fire on it. They were a little concerned to see the vehicle continue towards them. They went to move off to each side but weren't quick enough. They'd killed the Gray behind the wheel. The car was out of control. It slammed into both men and crushed them up against their vehicle. Both vehicles went spinning in different directions. The bodies of the two dead gang bangers were sprawled across the pavement.

The vehicle driven by the dead Gray ended up alongside the burning van. It soon caught fire itself. The fuel tank on one of them exploded a few seconds later. It was followed by the second fuel tank on the other one.

The Gray who'd went to check his two associates in the street, found out they were both dead. He watched the carnage down the street and the fiery explosions that soon followed. In the glow of the flames he didn't see anyone still standing. It appeared all of his associates were dead. It seemed all of the enemy were dead as well.

The sole surviving Gray took one look around the area. He didn't see any vehicles nearby. There was no one else on the street. He got back in the remaining vehicle and drove away.

Earlier:

The female Fanatic watched as the vehicles seemed to be all over the road. She quickly pulled over to the side of the road and turned her head lights off. She glanced back at the two drums of gasoline. She knew it would be possible for a stray bullet to reach her, even where she was at.

She was more than a little surprised at the ferocity of the battle that broke out almost immediately. She could see an explosion on the far side of the van. A few seconds later, the van rolled away and was soon on fire. She could see men in the street and one of the gang vehicles burning. It was hard for her to tell what happened further down the street. In a short time another vehicle approached the remaining gang vehicle at speed. It impacted into the side of it and then ended up against the side of the burning van.

She looked further down the street and could see one vehicle upside down and another one stopped near it. A few seconds later the van and the car exploded. She could feel and here a few pieces of debris hit her van. She didn't think it caused any damage.

She could only see one man standing after the battle. He went back to his vehicle and got into it. She thought he would go the other way. He didn't. He came towards her. She became a little concerned.

Hank and Larry watched everything from the drone footage. They were one street over from the battle. They could hear everything. The sounds they could hear were a little behind what they witnessed from the drone footage.

"I only see one survivor." Hank said.

Larry doubted he would be a survivor for very long.

"We need to see where he goes." Larry said.

Hank was a little surprised to see him drive towards where the female Fanatic was at.

"He may not be a survivor for long." Hank said.

They watched as the Gray in the vehicle approached the burning van and the car. The Gray briefly stopped and looked over the wreckage. He got out and checked his associate in the street.

"Let's see what he does next." Larry said.

The female Fanatic watched the Gray stop in the street and check over his fallen compatriot. He got back in the vehicle and continued in her direction. She ducked down and readied her assault rifle. The Gray turned at the first side street he came to. It looked like he wanted to get away from the carnage before he was spotted by anyone. It was one street in front of her.

She sat up and started the van. She moved forward without her headlights on. It appeared there was only one target left. She rolled up to the side street slowly. She looked down it before she made her turn. She could see the taillights two blocks down. She made the turn and followed the Gray. Her headlights were still off.

The female Fanatic watched the Gray turn right and go in the opposite direction she'd originally spotted the two vehicles headed. He was most likely about to return to where he'd left from. She realized he could also pay a visit to the target location she's been at earlier.

Hank and Larry watched the drone footage of the Gray leave the area and the female Fanatic follow behind him a few seconds later.

"There's no cleaning up the mess." Hank said.

There were six wrecked vehicles scattered over a two block area. Three of them were currently burning. There were dead bodies in the street.

Larry looked at the items in the back seat. It was all contraband.

"It looks like it's time to spread the drugs and cash around the area." Larry said.

Hank turned down the first side street so they could approach the wreckage. He pulled up to the vehicle the two gang bangers had been crushed up against.

Larry got out. He placed several packets of drugs and cash on the floor of the passenger side. He was about to get back into the SUV. He heard someone moan. He looked over and saw one of the gang bangers was still alive. He walked over and kicked him in the side of the head. His head caved in slightly. The gang banger stopped moaning.

He got back in the SUV.

"Were there any survivors?" Hank asked.

Larry looked over at the man he'd kicked in the head as they drove away towards the other vehicles.

"No." Larry said.

Hank approached the other two vehicles. The one that was upside down was leaking gasoline. It was all over the street. It had run to where the two bodies of the Grays were at.

Larry placed the remaining drugs and cash in the other gang vehicle. He took out his silenced M9 and fired it several times into the gasoline on the pavement. It sparked and caught fire with a 'whoosh' sound.

He got back in the SUV and Hank drove away. They could hear the burning vehicle explode as they left the area. They still had other fish to fry.

Hank and Larry continued to watch the drone footage of the female Fanatic and the Gray as they departed the area. They were quite a few streets away from them by the time they'd finished their 'job'.

What Is The Target

What does one want specifically
When they seek out another person
Will things really get better
Will they sour and worsen

The initial goal for most
Is driven by animal desire
It appears victory for many
Is when another they acquire

It's not so much about the person
It's what they have to offer
Value from one to another
Isn't always money in the coffer

Time will often change
What started as pure lust
What ever was once there
Will grow or combust

Things can expand and develop
As both hearts begin to orbit
They no longer remember
What is the target

Nobody
