Chapter 1306
New Players
Cammy's team was about to take one last look around the interior of the building. They could set up some surveillance and leave, or they could bring in all the Terminators and tear the place apart.
The main worry about bringing in the entire force of Terminators to tear the building apart, was because it could be a trap. With all of the power usage, something needed to be somewhere. They didn't want everybody in one location if the building were to explode.
John Henry contacted them. He'd received several inquiries from both Anna and CamNet.
"Do you want the power cut?" John Henry asked.
Savannah was worried about what happened before when it was done with a giant power cell. She was the one responsible for cutting the power and the subsequent explosion. It had been a close one for the team to get out in time. No power cells of any type had been discovered there yet. It didn't mean there wasn't one, or more.
"I think we should wait." Savannah said. "Bad things have happened before in situations like this."
Cammy didn't think it was the case there. She was sure the power was being used for something else. There was no clue as to what it was.
"We haven't found anything." Cammy said. "Maybe we can have it shut off for a few minutes. It might provoke some type of reaction we can detect. We can always turn the power back on. We'll do whatever Savannah wants to do."
Savannah was still unsure.
"I'll think about it." Savannah said.
Savannah wondered how far away they would need to be if they set a catastrophic chain of events into motion. What would the timing be? What if it started and they didn't know? She was aware it took hours for the giant power cell located in the mine to finally overload and explode. They didn't know why it did it when the power was cut off, unless there was some type of cooling system which needed to be on to stabilize it.
Young Allison wanted something better from the 'close in' drone scans they'd done. She was sure there would be something in the data.
"I'm still waiting for an update on the 'close in' drone scans." Young Allison said.
Anna went over the data with John Henry and CamNet.
"John Henry and CamNet are almost finished with the analysis." Anna said. "There are a lot of unknowns."
Young Allison wanted the information for Cammy's team before the power was cut. They needed to start disseminating it. She at least wanted a direction to look.
"Give me anything you have." Young Allison said.
Anna looked over some of the findings. She was hesitant to release what they'd come across so far. It was inconclusive and didn't make sense. She'd hoped for a more definitive answer.
"There's an anomaly of some sort." Anna said.
Young Allison sat up. Whatever the unknown factor was, it must be part of it.
"That's it." Young Allison said. "Everything must be based around whatever it is."
Anna knew it was something. She didn't know what. There wasn't enough information to come up with any type of theory or hypothesis.
"We don't know what." Anna said.
Young Allison thought it was the key. She wanted to know more.
"What is it and where is it?" Young Allison asked.
Anna felt it was the unknown with too much speculation. She started to lay out what they knew and what didn't add up.
"This is what they're working on…." Anna said.
Anna didn't like the unknown when troops were in the field. Whatever they reviewed was the unknown.
Young Allison found everything she was told to be extremely confusing. It was unlike anything they'd ever dealt with previously. She went over everything twice with Anna, John Henry and CamNet. She decided to present the situation to the team inside of the building herself.
Cammy, Cam and Savannah were all surprised by the next transmission, especially who it came from.
"I need everyone to listen." Young Allison said. "I'm looking at your position from the drone scans, your GPS and body cams."
Savannah wanted to take the call. It was unusual for Young Allison to become directly involved. It must be something significant.
"What is it?" Savannah asked. "I know something is off in here."
Young Allison thought so too.
"I agree." Young Allison said. "Your positions keep fluctuating even when you're not moving."
Cammy didn't see how it was possible.
"Maybe the instruments are 'off'." Cammy said.
Savannah wanted to know more. Everything couldn't be 'off'.
"What if they're not?" Savannah asked. "Is there some energy field we can't see or detect?"
Young Allison didn't have an answer. She wanted to try a few simple experiments.
"That's just it. I don't know." Young Allison said. "Move over to a spot ten feet directly in front of the SUV."
Cam led the team over and positioned them.
"We're ten feet in front of the SUV." Cam said. "I'm facing forward and Cammy is facing the SUV. Savannah is between us facing to the north."
Young Allison wasn't sure where to go with things. It sounded crazy.
"What's fifteen feet in front of you Cam?" Young Allison asked.
Cam looked. There was a workbench, a lathe and a drill press. Then there was a wall. The wall was at the exact distance Young Allison indicated.
"There's a wall fifteen feet in front of me." Cam said.
Young Allison knew it was going to sound strange.
"I need you to throw something into an imaginary box or unseen opening into the wall." Young Allison said. "It's right in the center, directly in front of you."
Cammy didn't like the way it sounded. She turned around and moved Savannah to the back of the SUV. She wanted her better protected.
Savannah was surprised by Cammy's quick move but went with her. Cammy motioned for her to kneel down and be behind as much of the metal of the SUV as possible.
"What is this?" Savannah asked.
Cammy didn't like it.
"I don't know." Cammy said.
Cam watched Cammy move Savannah away. She looked at the workbench in front of her and picked up a wrench. She decided to move off to the side. The drill press gave her some cover.
Cammy moved away from the SUV and off to the opposite side from where Cam was. She picked up a small piece of scrap metal.
Savannah wasn't sure what was going to happen. She hoped there wouldn't be some type of energy surge when Cammy and Cam threw the objects.
"If there's any type of energy feedback, you both need to move away immediately." Savannah said. "I didn't want either of you to act like a lightning rod and get zapped. I'll come and get both of you if it happens."
Cammy looked at Cam. It sounded bleak.
"Throw the wrench dead center at the spot indicated." Cammy said. "I'm going to throw this piece of metal three feet to the left of the spot."
Cam wanted Cammy to hit the side spot first. It should be a wall for sure.
"You throw first. Make it four feet from the center spot." Cam said.
Cammy threw the piece of metal and moved behind the lathe. There was a loud 'thwack' as the Metal hit the wall and a louder 'clang' as it hit the floor.
"My location was just the wall." Cammy said.
Cam looked back at where Savannah was and then at Cammy. She threw the wrench. It headed straight for the wall and disappeared when it should have impacted. There was no clang sound of the wrench hitting or landing on something. It was like it vanished.
It was something new for the team.
Cam made an educated guess as to what was in front of them. It looked like trouble.
"There's some kind of holographic or electronic shield in that spot. It's covering some type of entrance." Cam said.
Savannah looked out from in back of the SUV. She wanted to know how big the opening was.
"Toss a few more things to determine the size and shape of the unseen opening, if that's what it is." Savannah said. "There must be some kind of energy reading if it's holographic. It could be where all the power is going."
Cammy and Cam collected odd bits of metal along with some nuts and bolts. They tossed them at the spot and determined it was six feet wide and six feet tall. It appeared to be square in shape.
Any of the objects thrown into a six foot square never impacted the wall and landed back on the floor. All of them disappeared inside of the holographic opening.
Cammy decided it was time to see where it went.
"I'm going to go inside." Cammy said.
Cammy started to walk towards it.
Savannah stopped her. There was a nagging thought in the back of her mind.
"Not yet." Savannah said. "This could be a portal to somewhere."
Cammy wanted to see where. Was it even possible?
Cam reviewed the blueprints of the building. There was nothing there but a wall. They'd been in the rooms behind it. The wall itself was of standard thickness.
"Let me go." Cam said. "I don't think there's anything there but a wall."
Cammy started out again. It was her idea first.
"I'll do it." Cammy said.
Savannah wasn't going to take any chances. She wanted Cammy to listen to her. If she would need to use an 'order' to stop her, she would. It would apply to all of the Terminators. She didn't want to do it yet.
"Stop…." Savannah said. "No one is crossing the barrier yet. We need to know more first."
Cammy thought now was the time to cut the power and see what happened if the hologram lost power.
"Let's turn the power off and see what's really there." Cammy said.
Savannah didn't want to risk it. The massive explosions she'd been around before worried her.
"This is something we haven't encountered before." Savannah said. "We don't have a clue what's beyond the opening or actually the barrier itself in front of whatever it is."
Everything indicated there was nothing there. The items they tossed in went somewhere. They weren't on the floor.
Young Allison looked at Anna. She wanted some better answers.
"What do we have?" Young Allison asked.
Anna didn't have an answer.
"This is unknown technology." Anna said. "CamNet and John Henry don't have any reference other than standard known holographic endeavors. This may be something more."
Young Allison was sure it was.
"There's nothing there but a wall right?" Young Allison asked.
Anna double checked.
"According to the drone scan we just took, there's nothing there. There is only the wall to the rooms on the other side." Anna said. "We were only able to detect a slight variation of energy in the area."
Young Allison was worried what the electrical 'covering' would do to a Terminator or a human. As far as they knew, it could incapacitate a Terminator.
"We need a 'Guinea Pig'." Young Allison said.
Anna did a quick check.
"Dan and Frank spotted a dog going through a dumped over trash can." Anna said. "They can use a Taser on it to subdue it. They'll tie it up and bring it there."
Young Allison smiled. She could picture two Terminators doing it. She thought about something a little closer to where the team was located.
"Leave the dog alone for now." Young Allison said. "They have five 'Guinea Pigs' where they're at."
Anna tilted her head slightly.
Young Allison smiled again.
"There are five dead bodies in the back of the SUV." Young Allison said. "Shove one of them half way through and then pull it back. We can see if it is damaged further in any way. It may be burnt in half or come back half a skeleton for all we know."
Anna liked the idea.
Young Allison came up with another one.
"We can also stuff explosives inside of one of the body cavities and throw it through if it looks like we can't pass through safely."
Anna still thought they could cut the power.
"Maybe John Henry should pull the plug on the electricity." Anna said.
Young Allison thought it might go one of several ways.
"What if we do it and then there's nothing there but a wall?" Young Allison asked. "Maybe it's a portal. Maybe it leads to a lower level."
Young Allison believed it was something more advanced than any of the time periods they dealt with. She didn't think it was a gateway to another dimension. It could be. It could also be to an alternate timeline or even the future they were in.
Anna thought of another choice.
"Maybe they should push the SUV through the opening." Anna said.
Young Allison was all for it. They knew the group they were after was the enemy. The cruelty they were going to unleash on the nurse was proof of it. Wherever the unknown portal went, it must be to wherever the Grays current were at. They might still be able to attack them from the present, if they'd returned to their future.
"If we fill it with explosives first, we can have them send it through." Young Allison said. "I think this is a group from a further future."
Young Allison worried about it now. The Fanatics were from a further future than the Grays. This looked like something from an even further future. Maybe it was another way to time travel.
Summer and Jan were with Gail and Hanna as they played miniature golf on the upper level of the ship.
Since Hanna already played the game, she knew where all the defects were on the small miniature golf course. There were actually quite a few of them.
The group already played a few holes.
It caused Jan a lot of frustration. Everyone seemed to play better than her.
"Every shot is a hole in one for everyone else." Jan said. "I need three or four tries."
Hanna didn't see it as a problem. She remembered Kyle did much worse than Sarah did.
"Your father needed a few shots as well for each hole." Hanna said. "Your mother did quite well."
Gail was able to watch Hanna and match her shots.
"It's just a game." Gail said. "I'm following Hanna."
Jan looked at Summer.
"She's not." Jan said.
Summer looked at the three of them. She didn't think anything was 'wrong'.
"I'm playing my own game." Summer said.
Summer didn't like to see Jan frustrated. She knew how Young Allison often challenged the Terminators. She would set them up for a challenge which would limit their abilities. She wouldn't go quite as far as Young Allison did. Young Allison always made it so she couldn't lose. It was all in the wording.
"Everyone has seen Jan play for three holes. Maybe you can limit your ability to what she's displayed." Summer said. "We are all supposed to be having fun. There's no score and it's just a game."
Gail wanted to have fun. Jan told her they were going to have fun. It was what she wanted.
"I'll do it." Gail said. "I want to have fun."
Hanna looked at Summer. She didn't want to disappoint her.
"I will as well." Hanna said.
Jan looked happy now. She turned her attention to Summer.
"What about you?" Jan asked.
Summer shrugged her shoulders.
"I guess I could play blindfolded." Summer said.
Jan laughed.
Summer looked at Jan.
"No, really, I want to be fair." Summer said. "I'm just using my natural ability."
Gail and Hanna looked at each other. Hanna already played the course. She knew all of its shortcomings. Gail copied everything Hanna did. It was why both of them were able to make 'hole in one' shots. Summer didn't copy them. She looked at the course and made her own calculations. She didn't have Terminator abilities. Her abilities were all natural. The question remained as to how 'natural' her natural abilities actually were.
Ally led Mary and Sheila out to the open deck. Sheila didn't plan to let Mary get away from her.
Mary stopped in her tracks when it looked like Laura was about to kiss another female.
"What's going on here?" Mary asked.
Laura quickly tucked her right breast back inside her top.
"Nothing…." Laura said. "I ran into my old friend Leticia."
Leticia smiled at everyone.
They all saw she was beautiful.
Leticia didn't want to cause a problem with anyone. She thought maybe a brief explanation was in order.
"Hello. Laura and I were together for several months a few years ago." Leticia said. "We were just catching up on what's happened since."
Laura went on. She wanted to offer an explanation for her lewd behavior.
"I just wanted to show Leticia my new jewelry." Laura said. "I'm very proud of it."
There was no explanation as to why a kiss almost happened. Maybe there were some kisses before the group came outside.
Mary didn't look happy about it. Laura tended to get around a lot. She didn't mind the females so much as she did the males. What worried her was this. Her main fear was Laura hooking up with someone she'd been with before. It always seemed to rekindle old flames. The setting on a cruise ship was bound to light a fire.
She wanted Laura to concentrate on her, not the past. She thought she could 'one up' Laura's old flame. Maybe it was the fact how beautiful the other female was. It seemed to make it all worse.
"I have those too. I'm about to get a second set of jewelry." Mary said. "Maybe 'Trisha' would like to watch. We can separate the women from the girls."
Leticia looked irritated. She didn't like her name mispronounced.
"Leticia." The new female said. "It's Leticia."
Mary wasn't sure if she was going to get the second set of piercings before. Now she was determined to go through with it. She looked at the new girl. She wanted Laura to remain fixated on her. She'd wanted to show her disdain for the newcomer. She felt she'd made her point.
"Whatever." Mary said.
Mary took Sheila's arm and Ally held the door for them. They went inside.
Ally looked back at Laura and Leticia.
"Are you two coming?" Ally asked.
Sheila looked back.
"They will be when they see how Hot Mary is going to look." Sheila said loudly.
Leticia looked at Laura who nodded. They followed Sheila and Mary inside. Ally followed them and let the door to the outside deck close behind her.
Ally looked around to see if she could spot who Leticia was with. She wondered if it was a male or a female. She actually liked Leticia's 'look'. In her opinion, she was the best looking of the three new females they'd made acquaintances with.
If she were given a choice between the three of them right now, it would be Leticia. She'd noticed the way Sheila looked at her as well. She knew when Sheila wanted something. She knew Sheila wanted Leticia.
Jim followed the different team members around the ship and the strange events unfolding in the building where Cammy's team faced some unknown threat.
He noticed what happened on the Promenade deck. He saw there was a new player in the game. When he spotted Ally bringing up the rear and looking around, he figured she was trying to determine who the new female was with on the ship. He started to do a search of the boarding photos to determine what cabin the new female was in. He found it in a few seconds. He could now see who else was booked in the cabin. He was surprised at what he found.
There was also some sound from inside the Owner's Suite. He was surprised at what he heard.
It seemed there were a lot of surprises for Jim tonight.
John was as excited as he'd ever been to be with someone. What Cameron was doing now with Holly's chassis was by far his best experience.
He was slow to start out because Cameron made him do a quickie with her chassis before she took over Holly's chassis. It gave him time to really work on Holly-Cameron and get her warmed up. By the point he was ready to try it again, Holly-Cameron was all over him. He'd been able to have her finish once before the real thing even started. She was in an extremely high state of arousal.
Once they made love, he knew she was able to finish at least a second time and was about to finish again. Holly-Cameron's arms held him tightly as events concluded. Her arms pulled him as close as possible.
"I hope I can get pregnant." Holly-Cameron said in her throws of ecstasy as she took him in a long deep kiss.
John finally broke the deep kiss to take some air before he blacked out . He tried to pull away. She eased up on her hold. What she'd said before the kiss was a surprise to him. What did she mean about getting pregnant? It was impossible for a Terminator. He hoped it wasn't the precursor to some new problem.
Holly-Cameron held him tight up against her sheath. She even pulled him closer. She only released him when she was sure she'd received all of his essence.
"I love you, John." Holly-Cameron said.
John needed to remind himself it was Cameron, not Holly. He still almost blew it anyway.
"I love you, Hol… - Cameron." John said.
Holly-Cameron looked at him for a second but let it slide. After a performance like she'd just received on her 'first time', everything was good.
Cameron switched her programming back to 'normal' again. To her, what she'd just done was her 'first time' in a virgin chassis that she knew was a virgin chassis. Cameron finally got what she wanted since she'd come back in time. She was able to be a true virgin for John.
John wasn't sure if Cameron was going to relinquish control of Holly's chassis yet or if they were going to do it again. This time it would be with all of Cameron's experience and programming. He glanced over at Cameron's covered chassis, it was still inactive.
Holly-Cameron moved so she now faced John. She planned to give him the ride of his life. What Cameron just experienced was the best 'first time' she'd ever had and she planned to return the love to John in the same way.
Gone were the gentle and loving touches John used on her as he always did for her 'wedding night'. She was in control now and planned to make maximum use of a female chassis and its ability to experience multiple finishes. The medicine was still in effect on John. She moved over him. She placed his hands on her breasts and bent down and kissed him intently.
John was thrilled at what was happening. Holly-Cameron kissed him deeply as he fondled her. She started out. John knew he was just along for the ride right now. There was nothing to do but enjoy the intense pleasure. He tried to keep track of how many times Holly-Cameron finished but he couldn't. He was to the point where he was about to finish again. When he did, it seemed to send Holly-Cameron over the top one more time.
"I love you, John, and you love me." Holly-Cameron said.
John made sure he didn't almost blow it again.
"I love you, Cameron, and you love me." John said.
John was sure she was going to relinquish Holly's chassis when she was on top of him. He looked over at Cameron's inactive chassis. There was no movement.
Holly-Cameron saw where he looked. She was nowhere close to being done. She really liked Holly's chassis. It was clear Mrs. Weaver constructed the Restorators with an improved neural network. Everything she did and experienced, was much more pleasurable than in a Skynet chassis. She didn't want John to lose focus.
"Not so fast, mister…." Holly-Cameron said. "We're just getting started."
John swallowed hard. It was going to be a long night. He sure hoped he would be able to keep everything else 'long' as well. He was worried Cameron would push him beyond his ability to perform. He was only human after all. Maybe at some point, he would need to remind Cameron. Right now as he looked at Holly-Cameron, he wanted as much as he could possibly get.
Sarah was pleased Kyle could 'keep up' with her. It was a switch from around the base. Maybe the fresh salt air really did do them all some good.
She'd been able to please herself so much, she actually felt a little sore. She hadn't had this much activity since she was living in the jungle with the group of mercenaries and John. It was when he was younger.
It also reminded her a little of her early days in high school. The high school boys all finished too fast to ever bring her over the top. The minimal amount of pleasure she got wasn't worth the risk of getting pregnant. It just would have been a big hassle to deal with her parents. She didn't like the thought of getting pregnant back then and found the comfort of her female friends to be very rewarding. In fact it was more rewarding. The girls all knew what they wanted and how to get there.
She finished up one more time and moved to lie next to Kyle. They shared a long kiss.
Thinking about her friends in high school made her think about Claire. She'd thought of a closer relationship with Vanna and Allison over the years. She didn't pursue their advances. She'd even thought about Jesse after she'd tamed down some. She thought the three of them were beautiful. Now there was Claire. It was a whole different ballgame.
Her desire to share with Claire was very strong. She knew Claire was after John, and John was receptive. It was all Cameron's doing somehow. If it didn't pan out, she would like to share with Claire at least once.
She'd mentioned to Kyle she sometimes missed the females. He told her he didn't have a problem with her having a little fun, as long as it was females only. She usually mentioned it after a point when Kyle was no longer able to perform. It was clear she wanted more and he simply wasn't able to deliver. She was sure it was one of the reasons why he'd agreed to her having a part time girlfriend.
As much as she wanted it, it made her feel a little guilty. Still, Kyle did give his blessing. She wondered if maybe he wanted a 'crack' at one of the girls in return. She hoped it wasn't a Metal girl. She didn't think she could ever compete with one of them. They were all more beautiful than the human girls they were patterned after somehow. She remembered it took a lot of work to get Allison to look like Cameron a few times.
It made her think of her earlier thoughts about a Terminator version of herself. She would want the sheath Resequenced to her teenage appearance. She felt she'd be pretty good competition for the other girls. She meant both the Metal girls as well as the human girls.
Sarah glanced over at Kyle and saw he was asleep. She reached down and thought of the good old days with the girls. She didn't think another finish would hurt anything. When she concentrated on Claire, she made it.
Derek hoped Riley was almost done. Even with the added boost of the medicine. She was still a handful. He thought friction was going to take its toll at some point. It looked like Riley was almost done again. He could hear and feel her breathing a little more labored. She was on her own right now. He'd provided the 'apparatus'. She currently 'chased' whatever feeling she could get out of it. He needed some time to recharge. The medicine kept him in the game. He was glad he could give her what she wanted.
He couldn't help but think about the times she'd asked about having a 'female friend'. It always made him feel a little inadequate. He really didn't think as long as it was a female, it would be a problem. There was always the possibility things might expand and include him. He also needed to consider the possibility he may also end up being excluded. Right now he just wanted Riley to get as much pleasure as she could for herself.
Riley was almost there again. She was close. She wasn't going to let it get away from her. She was tired and she was sore. She was having the time of her life. The only thing better than this, would be to have another female there with her. She longed for the gentle loving touch of a female again. She thought about it as her hand went down to 'help' herself. When she thought about Samantha, she made it.
She collapsed next to Derek and tried to catch her breath. He looked at her and smiled. He soon dozed off. Her heart finally slowed down some. It had been pumping wildly. She heard a snore from Derek. It actually pleased her. She was still thinking about Samantha as her hand slid down to send her where she wanted to go one more time as she thought of what she wanted.
Life was good in Paradise.
It was even better when she made it to Heaven again.
Claire was very pleased to be with Jesse. She was full blown in love with her. Jesse was able to please her in every way possible and then some. There was still one thing she wanted. Well, it was actually two things. Being with Cameron was probably never going to happen, but being with John was.
She'd quietly asked Hanna about her being with John earlier. She wanted to know if John could deliver. Hanna confirmed he could with Cameron in control of her chassis multiple times. Cameron was able to finish and it was beautiful. She'd only gotten the file Cameron made. It was in real time so it was almost like she'd done it herself but there was no control. There was only the input from Cameron and the 'input' from John.
Claire knew Cameron wanted John protected from the anti-Metal group. There was no reason she shouldn't be the one to be at his side. Jesse told her she didn't have a problem with it. If he wanted a three way, she was in, or at least John would be in. She felt she was at a distinct advantage when it came to being with a male. Vanna, Allison and Savannah lacked experience. The girls didn't know how to please a man, she did. Jesse knew too.
She looked over and Jesse was asleep.
Claire didn't want to disturb her. Her hand slipped down and helped her with her fantasy of being with John or Cameron. It was when she thought of being with both of them she made it.
She thought any trip to Heaven was nice.
The Gray let out another long sigh and pulled back out onto the street. He headed back towards the first store where he'd started. He would check around the location one more time and then head back to Tango.
When he reached the next cross street, the other car from inside the building made a turn off the street in front of him.
'What the hell?' The Gray thought.
They were supposed to go back to the base after they dumped off his other vehicle. He'd even watched them go in the opposite direction to do it. He tried to see how many people were in the vehicle. He wondered if they came out to look for him. Maybe they were off to do something else. He wondered what it was. He didn't think they'd spotted him. He tried his phone again. It still didn't work.
He dropped in behind the other car. She tried to keep one or two vehicles in front of him. Sometimes it was hard to do. It made him wonder about the times he thought he was being tailed.
He wondered if the other two men got tired of waiting and decided to take care of things themselves. He didn't think they were doing it for themselves, he thought they were doing it for him. He was the ranking member in their location. He wondered if they were headed for the homeless camp.
There was only one vehicle between him and the other car now. He decided to drop back a little bit. He was a little surprised when the car made a turn at the next street. It headed back towards where the base was at. He didn't know if he'd been 'made' or not. It looked like the man wanted to do what he was originally told to do. He was to go back to the base and wait for the others to return. He really didn't know what he was up to. He wasn't going to follow him. There were a few things he wanted to check on first.
He didn't like getting 'picked up' when he tailed somebody. It made him think about the times he thought he was being tailed earlier. It was an impossible situation since the tail was never behind him all of the time. It was two different occasions, with two distinctly different vehicles.
Wait.
The car he saw at the supermarket near the donation bin started to click in his head. He thought there was something about it the first time he saw it. Now the thought was back in his head again. It was dark so it was hard to tell if it was the vehicle that'd followed him or not. He remembered the front license plate was a little crooked. He didn't see the front of the vehicle when he'd passed by the other location earlier. He wanted to take a closer look.
He took one more look in the direction the other car turned off. He was drove past the intersection. He was more curious about the other vehicle.
The female Fanatic checked the time on her phone. She still had almost ten minutes until the bomb would go off. She could always move the sacks of ammonia nitrate around and reset the timer. It seemed like a hassle. She would just drop off the box and head for the enemy base.
She wasn't sure if the C-4 explosive would react with the fertilizer or not. She knew other household items exploded under certain conditions. She was aware there were grain elevators which exploded from time to time from the wheat dust. She really hoped her bomb would work.
She checked her time again. There was still seven minutes to go. It shouldn't be a problem. She pulled into the supermarket parking lot once she didn't see any emergency vehicles. She pulled right up alongside the car she'd arrived in. She got out with the box. She reached down and popped the trunk open from inside of the car. She placed the box inside of the trunk and closed the trunk lid. She took a casual look around to see if anyone paid her any attention. She didn't think they did. She moved to the van.
There were five minutes left on the timer when she got back in it. She spotted a female headed towards the donation bin. It seemed to her like a good time to leave the area. It was probably another homeless person looking for some warm clothes to wear. Maybe they just wanted something nicer than what they owned. She immediately started the van and drove away.
She decided to get into position where she'd parked at earlier. It was when she'd taken the building under observation. It should only take her a minute to go from the location and approach the building from the rear as she'd done on the other one.
She was able to reach the location in two minutes. She pulled over to the curb and parked. She left the engine running. She glanced back at her fertilizer bomb. She really hoped it was going to work. She watched as the seconds counted down on her phone.
The thought of Ascension was never very far in the back of her mind.
Earlier:
CamNet's Terminators watch as the Gray and the female Fanatic seemed to be headed towards the same area. It might even be the same location.
The first Terminator noticed the vehicle which returned to the target building earlier came back out. They wondered where it was going.
"It looks like we have another player on the field." The first Terminator said.
The second Terminator looked at the drone images.
"I think they just made two big mistakes." The second Terminator said. "The roll up door is open as well as the gate on the side of the building."
The first Terminator watched the drone orbit around and pick up the Gray. He was headed towards the first supermarket. The female Fanatic was almost there herself. They watched her pull into the parking lot and pull up to the car she'd stolen earlier. They watched what she did.
"She just put something in the trunk of her previous car." The first Terminator said.
The second Terminator had a good idea of what it was.
"I believe it's what she'd taken from the three men she killed earlier." The second Terminator said.
The first Terminator saw it as an opportunity for them to gather some more intel.
"Let's go pick it up." The first Terminator said. "I think we can get it between the time she leaves and the Gray arrives."
They contacted CamNet with their proposal. They were told to wait and see what developed.
The second Terminator saw something else develop.
"There's another individual headed towards the donation bin. It appears to be a female." The second Terminator said.
They watched the van depart.
Several minutes ago:
The Gray neared the supermarket. He did a drive by on the main street and looked over as he passed. He thought he spotted the van parked next to the car he was concerned about. It had popped back into his mind. It was dark so it was hard to tell.
'I think it's those imbeciles.' The Gray thought.
He went to move over so he could pull into the parking lot. He needed to let half a dozen cars pass before he could make his turn. He entered the parking lot. There was now a big semi delivery truck pulling out of the lot. It blocked his path forward.
"Come on." The Gray said loudly.
With a hiss of air, the big rig pulled out onto the main street.
He headed in the direction of the donation bin. He didn't see the van. He did see the other car.
"Damn." The Gray said loudly.
He pulled up next to the car. He couldn't tell if it was the one he thought may have followed him earlier.
He heard a female scream. He saw some movement over by the donation bin. It looked like a homeless female running from the area. He saw she held a green dress in her hand.
'What did those morons do?' The Gray thought.
The homeless female ran around the corner. She still carried the green dress. He hurried over to the donation bin. He didn't hear anyone talking. He cautiously approached the corner of it and took a peek around. He could see a partially covered body lying on the ground. He took out his phone and turned on the light.
'At least something on this piece of crap still works.' The Gray thought.
He could see the barcode on the arm of the man up against the shed.
'Holy crap….' The Gray thought.
He quickly looked around the area and found the other two bodies. His head suddenly popped up and looked in the direction of where Tango was at. It appeared someone killed the three men and took their van. He was worried where it was headed right now. He ran back past the car. He still didn't know if it was the same one. He forgot to look to see if the license plate was crooked on the front as he ran past. He got back into his car and headed for Tango.
The Gray squealed the tires on his car when he took off. They squealed wildly again when he went around the corner. A car honked its horn at him since he'd cut in front of it. He turned right at the first street he came to. He'd previously turned a couple of streets down before. He wanted to get on the street Tango was located on as quickly as possible. He needed to see what was happening.
He knew the car he took his pistol out of had a satchel charge in the back of it. It was the car he currently drove. He was sure the other group of Gray's had at least one of them in the van. Whoever took the van would know it was there if they did a quick search. He really wasn't sure how the three men were taken down so easily. It made him wonder how many assailants were involved.
He hadn't heard any sirens coming. He didn't know if the homeless female would report it or not. He did know she took a green dress with her. He would need to come back later on and look for anyone wearing it.
He wasn't really sure why a homeless person would want a dress. Maybe it would make it easier when she earned 'food money'. The dress would pull up easily. Someone could get down to work and finish up in a couple of minutes. They could drop the 'fin' on her and everyone would be happy.
The Gray came hot around the corner of the street Tango was located on. He saw the van pull away from the curb up in front of him. Why was it at the curb? What was going on? He could see he wouldn't be able to catch it before it reached the building.
Moments ago:
The female Fanatic sat down the street from the building she was about to attack. She would need to pull away in one minute to make her run. She would make sure the van reached its target. She was ready for Ascension if it was required.
She was a little surprised when she saw a vehicle make the turn along the side of the target building. She took it as a good sign. If there was a gate, she wouldn't have to ram it. It would most likely be open when she arrived. If she timed it right, she might even be able to catch them with the roll up door open. She glanced back at the bags of fertilizer. There was one minute left on her clock. She pulled away from the curb. She was about thirty seconds behind the car which turned in alongside of the building.
She'd taken a piece of wood with her from the gardening shop. It broke off the pallet when she'd rammed the gate with it earlier. She would use it to wedge between the gas pedal and the seat. It was so the van could approach the building at full speed.
There was a section of cloth she ripped off of the blanket in the back. She didn't really like even touching the blanket. She wondered how many females had been abused on it in the back of the van. The blanket was now on the bottom with the first layer of sacks of ammonia nitrate stacked on top of it. She figured she would return it to its rightful owners. She hoped they enjoyed it when it arrived.
She approached the driveway for the target building. She noticed a car come around the corner a few streets in back at a high rate of speed. It fishtailed wildly before it straightened out. She wondered what kind of trouble it was going to be. It didn't really matter at this point. She made her turn alongside the building. The gate was wide open. She smiled as she hurried.
The female Fanatic came wide around the corner. She wasn't in too big of a hurry as she approached. She figured they were expecting the van to return. She was pleased to see the roll up door was open.
CamNet Terminators watched everything unfold.
The first Terminator made a few deductions.
"The Gray figured out what happened." The first Terminator said.
The second Terminator watched as the Gray hurried off after the van.
"He won't be able to catch the van." The second Terminator said.
They watched as the female Fanatic pulled away from the curb.
"She's making her run now." The first Terminator said.
The second Terminator wanted to put the grab on whatever the female Fanatic put in the trunk. They didn't want it to be an issue with CamNet.
"Drive up to the vehicle and we will take what she left." The second Terminator said.
CamNet's Terminators received clearance to approach the vehicle and retrieve the items. It was doubtful anyone would return to it anytime soon, if at all. They headed for the supermarket parking lot.
New Players
Is what's new actually so
Or is it just another rerun
What's really different
Maybe it's over before it's begun
Everyone says the same thing
They all say they could have done better
Take a look around for a reality check
Maybe they need to see it in a letter
Whoever is next to them
Was the best they could do
They need a refresher course
So their life they can review
To do the same thing
Will never produce a different result
They want to blame others
When it's all their own fault
Things will always repeat
When their surrounded by betrayers
The only way to move forward
Is with a cast of new players
Nobody
