Chapter 1369
Every Smooth Curve
Savannah and Cammy rode their newly acquired bicycles down the street.
They were in an industrial area. They were dressed very skimpy with a lot of skin showing. The idea was to look as non threatening as possible. If there were hostiles in the building, they wanted them to think about anything else other than a attack.
Savannah hadn't been on a bicycle in years. She hadn't thought about how uncomfortable the seats were for a female until she was on a bike again. The seat wasn't the only area which caused her discomfort.
"I can feel this in my legs already." Savannah said. "I haven't done this in a long time."
Cammy hadn't either. A memory popped into her head. She hadn't been on a bicycle since the Sixties when she was back in time with Sheila. Most of those files were still locked since the others hadn't left yet to join them there in the past. She didn't think she should mention it. It always seemed to irritate Savannah when she mentioned it. She knew Savannah didn't want Young Allison to go to the past. With some of the events which had already played out, it appeared she would at some point. She wanted to give her some reassurance now.
"We don't have far to go." Cammy said. "It's only a few blocks."
Cammy dropped back some and rode next to Savannah. She didn't want to set too fast of a speed. She decided to let Savannah set the pace. They would be there soon enough.
Savannah wanted to make sure they were on the same page.
"I want to go over the plan again." Savannah said.
Cammy didn't think anything changed since they'd just gone over it a few minutes ago.
"We just did." Cammy said. "It all starts when I go down."
Savannah giggled a little.
"You do that quite often and quite well." Savannah said.
Cammy looked over and smiled.
"So do you." Cammy said.
Savannah wanted to get serious. She wanted Cammy to stick to the plan and not get carried away.
"I don't want any heroics." Savannah said.
Based on what Savannah and Young Allison did during the night at the two buildings, Cammy thought it was a little restrictive.
"Young Allison and you pulled off a few heroics." Cammy said.
It was about the last thing Savannah needed to be reminded about. She would have preferred if Young Allison was never there at all. Young Allison shouldn't have put herself at such risk for her.
"It was mostly Young Allison who did everything." Savannah said. "She shouldn't even have been there in the first place. I do have to admit what she did was remarkable."
Cammy knew Savannah needed to face the future. She also believed Savannah needed to loosen the reins a little bit.
"She's ready to step up." Cammy said. "She's ready for everything. I think it's self evident. If you're not there when she needs someone, someone else will be."
Savannah could see it was a strong possibility. She knew there was no stopping it either. It reminded her of when she'd told Cameron she needed someone. Cameron hooked her up with Young Jesse and later provided her with Cammy. Maybe she just didn't want Young Allison to grow up.
"I still want to see her a little older before she starts this full time, or any other things for that matter, especially big girl things." Savannah said. "It's not all fun and games, even if it seems like it."
Savannah was aware there was a lot of push and pull in every relationship. When there was, a relationship could fracture or it could be made stronger.
Cammy and Savannah slowed as they neared the target structure.
There were drone above and around them at altitude.
No threats were detected.
Cammy looked in all directions.
"I don't see any obvious surveillance cameras. It doesn't mean there aren't any." Cammy said. "You know how these things unfold."
Savannah checked with John Henry and CamNet both before they'd left the rest of the group behind. She was aware there could be surveillance set up in one of the other buildings which focused on the target location.
"There were no camera signals detected through the air or any land lines." Savannah said.
Cammy knew there could be other factors involved.
"Some may be motion or proximity activated." Cammy said. "It would make more sense in this type of situation."
Savannah wondered if anything made sense when they dealt with Skynet.
The target structure was almost in front of them. They'd slowed a little more.
"Let's do it then." Savannah said. "We're here."
Mary and Laura were very excited as they were seated. They liked how fancy everything was.
"I wish we could have gotten a window seat." Mary said. "I'd really like to look out the window as the water passes by."
Laura was going to point out the ship passed by the water since it was moving but didn't. There were a few things which intrigued her.
"I heard some people say they saw a few whales earlier." Laura said. "There were a few pods of dolphins too."
Those were all things Mary wanted to see. She knew the sightings were usually very brief. They didn't last long at all. Most of the people who saw something were already looking in the direction when it occurred. She was aware the pods of dolphins usually lasted a little longer than a whale sighting. Usually for a whale, it was just a waterspout.
"I'd really like to see some." Mary said.
Mary and Laura placed their orders and waited for their food.
John was a little taken aback when Cameron said his code name was 'Mud'.
"'Mud'?" John asked. "I hoped for 'Billy Jack' or 'Kwai Chang Caine'. You know, I'd like something cool."
Cameron thought she'd been a little harsh. Maybe an encounter with a 'stranger' was what John needed to start his closer association with the human females. He wouldn't have time to build any emotional bonds. He would want 'more' though afterwards. The girls at the base could fill the need. It irritated her because they weren't doing it already. She wanted John protected. Maybe a little 'strange' would do John some good. He would never see them again but he would want more of what they'd offered and provided.
"Maybe your code name can be 'Gordon'." Cameron said. "I thought of 'Batgirl' with my code name Barbara. Gordon was her last name and it can be a first name too for males."
John thought Cameron's name fit the bill even better.
"Like your name can be a first name for males or females and a last name." John said.
Cameron tilted her head slightly.
"Yes." Cameron said. "I'm very universal."
Their food arrived and they divided it up. It always looked like there was something for Cameron to eat. One of them would trade an empty dish or bowl for whatever she had.
They stayed off everyone's radar. She could see Mary and Laura across the room. They hadn't spotted them yet. Maybe it wouldn't be a problem after all. They were almost finished with their food anyway. They could always slip out through the kitchen.
John, Allison and Vanna all took a quick peek every now and then at Mary and Laura.
Cameron felt all of them looked in their direction too much.
"You're going to attract their attention if you all keep looking." Cameron said.
The others were just curious. They really wanted to see Sheila's 'handiwork'. It seemed unlikely in their current setting.
Vanna was grateful for being with Samantha recently. As far as the human females went, they'd been pretty restricted to the females in their group. Before she'd returned to the past, she shared with many females. It was usually after they'd been abused. She always wanted to show them they still mattered and what happened didn't define them. It also gave her self worth.
A little 'strange' on the ship couldn't hurt much, especially if the girls already checked out and were 'clean'. It was one thing she never needed to worry about in the future. Anybody with any type of pre-existing medical condition, died in the first few months after Judgment Day. Whatever toxins Skynet released into the environment, it killed all of them in a very short time. It left the fittest and healthiest humans alive.
Allison was interested too. She could see Vanna really was. She knew she put a big dent into Vanna's sex life when they'd partnered up. She'd seen Vanna with other females before they became involved. When she'd watched Vanna share with the other females, it made her want the same things too. It took her a long time to get Vanna to 'take' her, but she finally did.
She didn't want to think about the past, the future. There were too many bad things which occurred there. She really hoped they could prevent this timeline from suffering anything similar.
Allison was about to tell Vanna she could do whatever she wanted while they were on the ship. Cameron did tell them several times, 'what happens on the ship, stays on the ship'. They would be back at the base again in a few days and life would go back to 'normal'. A few new experiences would be a good reminder of all of the fun things they did on the ship.
There was some commotion by the front of the dining room on their side of the ship.
"Dolphins!" Someone said. "There are a lot of them jumping out of the water."
People at the surrounding tables began to move towards the windows in the front of the dining room.
"There are hundreds of them." A female voice said.
It drew more people.
"Look at all of them." A male voice said. "I've never seen so many before at one time."
Cameron glanced in back of her out the window. She could see all the splashing in the water ahead of them.
"There are a lot of them." Cameron said.
Vanna and Allison got up and moved past Cameron to look out the window better. John remained seated with Cameron. He could see she didn't like the unforeseen development.
John Henry hurried to make his 'inspection' of the base. He actually checked a few things along the way. He was really headed for Jesse's room. He wanted a first hand look at Jesse, Claire and Samantha together. He couldn't explain his compulsion to do it. It just seemed like something he needed to do.
Maybe he should install some hidden cameras in the girl's rooms. He would be able to better 'study' female sexual behavior if he did. It would be purely for educational purposes. It's what he always told himself he was doing. He almost believed it now himself. The extra security it would provide, would be an added benefit on top of it.
He did pass the two rooms of the Reese clan and confirmed they were all busy. He didn't want one of them to catch him looking in Jesse's door. Jesse previously said he could look in on her anytime. Jesse indicated she would like Gail to swap chips with him sometime. It was an interesting prospect on several levels. He could better study the response of a female chassis as compared to his through manual stimulation. If Jesse or Gail mentioned it again he would do it.
Sheila also asked to borrow his chassis. She said she wanted to 'break in' all the Metal girls herself with some 'feedback' the next time. She mentioned something about 'Steely Dan'. It appeared Cameron's personal greed beat Sheila to it. The Metal girls on the ship were all 'broken in' now, at least their chassis were.
John Henry neared the corner to view the hall to Jesse's room. He peeked around the corner. Jan was there with the stroller. She looked in the gap in the door for about half a minute before she looked around and checked Precious. She watched for about another half of a minute before she moved on. She was headed in his direction.
He needed to make a hasty retreat.
Summer communicated with CamNet from the Command Center. She watched John Henry on his trek and noted Jan was going to be there before he was. Jan came from the back way with Precious in the stroller.
It was better for John Henry to have Jan there first. He was easily distracted when he spied on the females, usually in Jesse's room or Sheila's room. Jan wouldn't catch him today. If he stayed there long enough, she might go down there and give him a surprise. She'd been able to do it several times already. The last time she'd remained undetected as she moved around him.
She watched him make his move and retreat when Jan headed his way. He moved back around the corner and down the hall. He could go all the way around or duck in a room. It was what he did. He remained there until Jan passed.
It was after that when things got interesting.
Sheila and Ally were a 'hit' in the casino.
Ally understood some of the pleasure Cameron took for her appearance. It gave her a feeling of superiority without doing anything. It was just her appearance.
"It's amazing how the organic coverings of our chassis can easily distract people." Ally said.
Sheila learned it did a long time ago. She also appreciated her construction.
"I'm just glad it has a neural network to simulate human responses and feelings." Sheila said. "It's one thing Skynet got right."
Ally thought about it.
"It makes you wonder how many humans they took apart to get it right." Ally said.
Sheila didn't want to wonder about it. She wanted to play some games.
"It's time to show them how we do it in the future." Sheila said.
They noticed Bob was now near the cashier's booth. He made no attempt to wave them off.
"I don't think Bob is here to chase us away." Ally said. "Maybe he's here to protect us from leering eyes and groping hands."
Sheila looked at Ally.
"He isn't here to protect our virtue." Sheila said. "Cameron already took it."
Ally laughed a little.
"I don't think you had any to begin with." Ally said.
Sheila thought she did from Gail's program. The 'Neural Interface' with Jesse changed things. It actually changed everything. She liked the darkness she'd found in Jesse. She wouldn't trade it for anything. The darkness was better than the sex to her at times. She liked to dwell there. She didn't want Ally to know.
"Nope." Sheila said. "I'm a 'Valley Girl' all the way."
They moved up to a Blackjack table. Sheila chose one with a female dealer. It was an Asian female who looked maybe to be in her early twenties. It meant she was actually in her early thirties. She'd learned one needed to add ten years to the appearance of a foreign born and raised Asian female for their correct age. They all looked younger than they were. They eyed each other before she decided this was where she was going to play.
Sheila was ready to make her move. She turned to Ally.
"Get me some chips, love." Sheila said as she gave Ally a small kiss. "I'd appreciate it."
Ally and Sheila set a plan into motion.
"I will as long as you make it up to me later on in the bedroom." Ally said. "You need to earn your keep."
Ally left.
Sheila looked at the dealer.
"She is my newest 'friend'." Sheila said. "I'm breaking her in. I opened her eyes when I opened other things up."
The dealer tried to remain calm and detached. She was clearly interested in Sheila and Ally. It appeared everyone was.
What was even funnier to Sheila, was no one ever approached them or actually tried to hit on them in an open setting like this. She felt they were too intimidating. Wherever she went, she was the one in control and everyone knew it, unless Cameron was around, then she was. The difference was, Cameron didn't need to do anything to cast her aurora, it simply radiated from her.
Ally returned with four - five dollar chips.
"Here you go, sugar." Ally said.
Sheila looked a little indignant.
"That's it?" Sheila asked.
Ally smiled.
"It's like me, hon." Ally said. "You're going to have to work for it. The good things in life don't come easy."
Sheila looked at the dealer and then back at Ally.
"In that case, it won't be long before I hit the jackpot." Sheila said. "When they do come, they really come."
Ally moved up to watch Sheila.
"Let's see what you've got." Ally said.
Sheila smiled.
"Watch and learn, love." Sheila said. "Get ready for some more."
Ally pulled the front of her bikini bottom forward so Sheila could see inside.
"If you win, you're in." Ally said.
Sheila glanced down and smiled.
"It's going to belong to me." Sheila said. "It may be part of you, but I'm going to own it."
The dealer swallowed hard and tried to remain stone faced.
Bob was there to make sure Sheila didn't do anything too extreme or attract too much attention to herself. She seemed to have a way to do it anyway.
The day was still young and the hard corps gamblers were still hung over in their rooms. They'd be out in the evening and into the early hours of the morning.
Right now he was content to observe Sheila and Ally. He could make out every smooth curve on their sheaths. They were both something to look at and admire. The more he looked at them, the more he was glad he held a clipboard. He lowered it down in front of him to hide what occurred in his pants.
Cammy and Savannah rode their bikes down the street. As they neared the front door of the target building, Cammy's bike began to wobble. In the blink of an eye she went down. She was sprawled on the ground.
Savannah stopped and immediately jumped off her bike and ran back to Cammy. She tried to help her up. Cammy slowly got up but almost fell over. She helped Cammy lean up against a light pole. She moved both of their bikes up onto the sidewalk from where they'd landed in the street. She 'checked' Cammy out.
Cammy tried to walk but doubled over almost immediately.
Savannah looked around and helped Cammy towards the front door of the target building. Cammy motioned for Savannah to stop when they were about fifteen feet from the door. She wanted the occupants inside to get a good look at them. After a short while Savannah helped her to the front door and knocked.
They figured if anyone observed them, it would look like someone who needed help. As two Hot females, it should get the attention of any Grays who were there inside the building. They were known for picking up 'stray females'. It appeared two 'Hot ones' were about to be gift wrapped and delivered to them.
The Resistance surveillance hadn't picked up any movement in or out of the building since they received the information to surveil the structure.
If there were Grays inside, Cammy and Savannah would look like easy marks. The rest of the team was prepositioned and ready to move in if necessary.
'Coltan Overcast' and 'Cherry Bomb' were ready to violate the hard deck and come in shooting if necessary. They were all primed and ready to go.
Young Allison wasn't sure if she still liked her plan. They wanted to check out the building, but there were fears it was a trap. Anything they did at night to approach it would signify it there was someone 'moving in'. Two Hot girls in the middle of the day who approached the front door in broad daylight from the public street, shouldn't seem like a threat.
Anna was leery all along of the plan. She felt it was workable. They knew the past practices of the Grays when dealing with females. They'd encountered dead females before related to this very group associated with the storage of the HK equipment.
Young Allison was ready to hit hard if necessary. She figured there would have been some more 'blow-back' at this point.
"I'm surprised John Henry hasn't had more to say about the operation." Young Allison said.
Anna wondered about it herself.
"He's letting you run lead on this since it was your plan." Anna said.
It didn't sit well with Young Allison. She wanted to do more than just plan. She felt the need to do more personally.
"I should be the one there knocking on the door." Young Allison said. "I only wanted Cammy to go to the front door."
Anna knew Savannah made a 'battlefield decision' to override her restriction.
"Savannah thought it would 'sell' better with two of them." Anna said.
Young Allison figured it would. She thought something else would be even more enticing.
"It would 'sell' even better if I was there." Young Allison said. "Instead, we're almost back to Palmdale."
Anna thought Young Allison had done more than enough on her first combat experience last night. She was sure there were going to be some repercussions.
"You'll wait for Cameron before there's any more combat." Anna said. "You already know what happened is going to cause a problem with Cameron and your mother."
Young Allison just wanted to get home at this point. The operation appeared to be at the tipping point. She wanted to use the additional resources which were available in her bunker.
Mary and Laura heard all the hoopla going on over on the other side of the main dining room.
"What's happening over there?" Laura asked.
A waiter at a nearby table looked over. He didn't think it was a big deal. He'd seen it many times already. He knew the passengers liked to see it.
"Someone spotted a large pod of dolphins." A waiter said. "They said there were hundreds of them."
It was what Mary really wanted to see on the cruise. She saw a lot of other passengers had gone over to look. She didn't see why they couldn't as well.
"Let's go see them before they're gone." Mary said. "They usually disappear quickly."
Mary and Laura hurried over towards the other side.
Cameron tracked the dolphins as well as Mary and Laura. It wasn't what she wanted to see.
"Here come those two girls." Cameron said.
John glanced back to see them coming. There were some other people too.
Allison and Vanna were pressed against the glass to see the dolphins.
Cameron didn't think it was anything to be concerned about. They all knew their roles to play.
John watched them pass by a few tables over. He was sure he'd seen them before. He tried to remember where it was. He took a good look at them. They were both pretty Hot. He noted they had nice figures as he took in every smooth curve on them. They were about the same size as Vanna in the bust department. They were nowhere near close to Holly or Gail. He was aware few females were without ridiculously looking implants.
Cameron watched John check them out. He didn't seem too interested in them other than curiosity. Then again, he knew she was sitting right by him and watching him. She nonchalantly reached up and started to scan him. She was able to tell he was more than interested.
It wasn't her main worry right now.
Mary and Laura crowded around one window to look out with some other passengers. They needed to move to another window with fewer people to see everything better. There were all kinds of 'oohs and awes' from the other passengers. About thirty seconds after they arrived at the second window the dolphins were gone. All that remained were the smooth curves of blue water.
Allison and Vanna sat back down. They saw Mary and Laura were down about five windows from where they were at. They could see Cameron currently scanned John. He didn't look happy about it. They all looked at their desserts and hoped they wouldn't be noticed.
Mary and Laura took one last look out the window and left to go back to their seats with the other passengers.
Mary looked over and saw Vanna's red hair. It caught her attention. She looked a little further and spotted 'Peggy' and her Hot sister. There was a nice looking guy with them. She was sure she'd seen him before. She didn't remember where it was at. She tapped Laura's arm and pointed over where they were at.
"How did they get down here and change back to what we saw them wearing in the buffet earlier so fast?" Laura asked. "We just saw them a few minutes ago. They weren't even carrying anything."
It didn't make any sense to Laura either. It was as if they'd seen them change several times.
"It looks like they are almost done too. They're on their dessert already." Mary said. "Let's go say 'Hi' and find out what's going on."
Laura stopped Mary.
"They're trying to avoid eye contact." Laura said. "They avoided us earlier in the buffet too."
Mary could see Laura was right. They weren't looking at them.
"Peggy doesn't care for the way Sue likes us." Mary said. "She's with her true lover right now. We saw them earlier."
Laura not only wondered how they could make such quick changes, she also wondered how they could always get ahead of them when they were behind them earlier.
"I still don't know how they changed so fast from the buffet to the spa and back again." Laura said. "We saw the three girls in the spa for sure. They were almost naked."
Cameron could hear them talking. It was evident they'd noticed the discrepancies about them. Maybe she'd given Cam-Gail, Ally and Hanna too much freedom. Now it was an issue. She hoped it didn't turn into a problem. It didn't look like they were going to go away. She wanted to take control of the situation. It would be the best way to diffuse whatever was about to happen.
"Wave at them." Cameron said.
Vanna and Allison looked at each other and turned around to give Mary and Laura a smile and a wave. John started to raise his hand but Cameron gave it a little slap.
"Not you." Cameron said. "They haven't met you before."
It seemed to pacify them. They waved back but moved on. They returned to their table with no further ado.
John was a little disturbed by Cameron's handling of the whole affair. He didn't like the 'Terminator look' on her face.
"I don't want any trouble over this." John said. "You know what I mean."
Cameron thought about it. Did it leave her with a choice? Should she terminate them and end the 'problem'? Should she have John 'be with them' first and then terminate them? It would at least give her an excuse to do it then. She could 'pin' the blame on him. Their termination would be his fault. She actually liked the last option.
John Henry waited until Jan and Precious were gone. He returned back to where he'd been. He approached from the other side. He carefully moved up to the doorway and looked in. He liked what he saw.
Jesse was used to visitors so she didn't care. She liked an audience. Samantha knew he was there too. Only Claire didn't know they were being observed.
John Henry knew there was an operation about to get under way. What he viewed now seemed to catch his fancy. He looked around and wondered if Summer was around there someplace. He wasn't sure how she could move so close around him without his detection.
Summer clandestinely communicated with CamNet through John Henry's server. She watched the security feeds too. She watched Jan return to the rec room where she was supposed to go in the first place.
She followed the operation with Cammy and Savannah. She didn't care for what they were doing. She was sure a drone strike would be safer. Then again, if there was any HK equipment in there, they would need to remove the remains of it all. If they went in, they might be able to capture some of it, instead of destroying it.
Summer looked at a security camera and was a little surprised to see Riley exit her room. She wondered if Derek would come out too. He didn't. She thought Riley was going to look for Samantha and Precious. She didn't come towards the commissary or rec room. She headed towards Jesse's room.
John Henry wasn't paying attention. Riley would come around the corner in about fifteen seconds and catch John Henry there.
She expected CamNet or JH to issue John Henry a warning of some kind. They didn't. She saw it was a test on what she would do. She didn't like the test. She would talk to CamNet about it later on and tell her it was wrong to compromise someone's integrity. John Henry was doing nothing different than they all did, including her.
Summer issued a warning to John Henry herself. She would want the same warning if it was her.
John Henry was lost in thought and fixated on watching Claire, Jesse and Samantha 'interact' with each other.
"Riley is coming from your right side around the corner in about ten seconds." Summer said. "You'll be compromised."
John Henry was startled back to reality. He needed to move.
He knew it was Summer in his com. He wondered when she'd returned to the Command Center. He wondered if she ever really left. He knew she could be elsewhere as well. He moved down to the closest door and went inside. He peeked through the crack in the door. Sure enough, Riley came around the corner. It looked like she was only wearing a bathrobe. If he hadn't gotten the warning when he did, she would have caught him there. Now she was there about to look in Jesse's door.
Samantha wasn't supposed to be in there when Derek and Riley returned back to the base.
"Go back out into the hall NOW." Summer said.
John Henry knew the 'command' was to keep Riley from looking in and seeing Samantha having sex with Claire and Jesse. He thought maybe he should have closed the door before he walked away from it.
He stepped out of the room as Riley was about to look into Jesse's room. She looked over at him and stopped short of the door. She hadn't expected to see him there.
"Hello, Riley." John Henry said.
Two seconds later the door to Jesse's room closed softly. He didn't think Riley noticed.
Riley smiled at him.
"Hi, John Henry." Riley said. "I was just stretching my legs."
It wasn't where the real 'itch' was at on Riley.
The female Fanatic continued along the dirt access road. She caught some movement off to the side across the tracks. It wasn't what she wanted to see. It certainly wasn't what she wanted to deal with right now.
She could see there were several homeless individuals underneath a plastic tarp. She kept walking and ignored them. She wanted to check out the buildings with the rail sidings first. She was sure the box truck was parked at one of those buildings.
Two men emerged from under the tarp.
"Nice day for a walk." The first man said.
The two men remained on the other side of the railroad tracks but continue to match her walking pace.
"Let's keep it that way, please." The female Fanatic said. "I'm not looking for any trouble."
The two men continued to parallel her.
"There won't be ant trouble on our part. There's been a few females who've disappeared around here." The second man said. "We don't think it was any of the rail gangs either. There are a few around here."
The two men stayed on the other side of the railroad tracks.
"Thank you for the warning." The female Fanatic said. "I'll keep my eyes open. It's broad daylight right now. I should be OK."
The female Fanatic was aware her pockets were stuffed with cash. She probably carried several thousand dollars, if not more. She also carried her knife and her pistol. She would prefer not to use the pistol if at all possible. It was sure to alert the Grays of her presence. It would at least put them on alert.
"Just watch yourself." The first man said.
The two men paused for a short time before they turned around and went back towards their hovel.
She appreciated the warning. She was pretty sure she knew what happened to the missing females. More than likely whatever building the Grays were in, is where they ended up at. She was sure they spent their final hours, if not days, tied to the 'comfort bunk'.
The men disappeared back under the tarp. She would keep an eye on them. She would try not to come back the same way when she returned if possible. She didn't consider herself a knockout or a beauty at all. She was a female. It was all that mattered. It was all that mattered in the future. It didn't matter how skinny or fat or young or old a female was. They were a female and they needed to pay the price. The price was being born a female. The toll was being abused.
She didn't spot the box truck at the first building with the long rail siding. She was much closer now to the building where she thought the tracks would go inside of it. The satellite photo showed the tracks run along the side of the building and then end at a part of the building which extended to the other side of the tracks. It continued in the same direction the tracks ran for another few hundred feet. It appeared it was large enough to store two or three box cards inside of it.
It was time to take another look behind her. She sure hoped she didn't see the men out. She glanced back. They weren't. She decided to cross over the tracks to the other side and walk on the side of an embankment there. It would give her a lower profile. She wouldn't be able to be noticed as easily from any of the buildings on the side she'd been on earlier.
She glanced at the satellite image as she walked. She couldn't spot the box truck on the west side of the building. The rail siding was on the east side of the building. The section where she thought the indoor loading may be was on the north side. There also appeared to be a loading dock on the north side as well. If the box truck was backed up there, she wouldn't be able to spot it from where she currently was.
Time might be a factor. She didn't know. If the truck was making a delivery, or a pickup, it might not stay at the location for very long. She didn't know what would happen. She did know where the truck left from and the location wasn't going anywhere.
She would continue down the tracks and check out the other rail siding which divided into a second rail siding further to the north. She took one look behind her. There was no sign of the men who'd given her the warning earlier.
CamNet's Terminators made sure everything they wanted was loaded into the van with the money. They carry all of the narcotics inside of the building. When they left, they would only take the money, the phones and the hard drives. They planned to leave a burning building behind them filled with drug traffickers and sexual abusers. Not all of them might be dead when they left either. The flames, or smoke inhalation, would take care of any survivors.
It was time to question the men.
Lena checked on the man who'd come in from the rear. He was supposed to be the boss. She'd slammed the metal door hard against him. She'd heard bones break. He was still out cold. She began to wonder if he would ever regain consciousness.
They wanted to find out where the five females were taken earlier. The two men who'd arrived in the blue van were both regaining consciousness. They would each question them separately first. They checked the drone image around them to make sure there were no surprises on the way.
CamNet reassured them she would deal with any threat with 'extreme prejudice'. They took it to mean the drone would use its missiles, or another gravity shot, to deal with any threat.
Tina started on the man she'd taken into custody. The man seemed terrified.
"What are you?" The first man asked.
Tina smiled at him. She picked up a chair with metal legs and broke one off. She ripped the piece of metal in half in front of his face.
"I'm your worst nightmare." Tina said.
She let her eyes glow red again.
The man lost control of his bladder.
"You're the Devil." The first man said.
Tina held up a bag of white powder.
"Wrong." Tina said. "What you pedal is."
The man issued a string of curses. They were intermixed with threats. It was the usual response for one of Cameron's off the books operations.
Tina looked at the man. He hadn't figured out yet he was going to die.
"There are approximately two hundred and six named bones in the human body. There are eighty in the axial skeleton and a hundred and twenty six in the appendicular skeleton." Tina said. "Each of those bones can be broken multiple times. A bone is much easier to break than a piece of metal is."
The man issued another string of threats and cusses.
"It looks like we'll have to do things the hard way." Tina said. "Let's get started."
Lena went through the same conversation with the second man. It was very similar in the way it played out.
They kept track of the drone images, as well as the boss, once the questioning began.
The female Fanatic neared the location where the next rail siding came off of the main line and turned to the north. She didn't spot the box truck at any of the buildings the long rail siding passed. She couldn't see the building at all where the other spur track came off of the siding.
She touched her pistol and decided to make a bolder move. She crossed over the tracks and cut across a small field. She picked up the rail siding which headed north and walked alongside it.
There was a lot of spray paint on the side of the buildings. It was usually the indication of a local gang. In this case, it might be one of the rail gangs. They may have settled inside of one of the abandoned buildings. It could be another reason the homeless females disappeared as well. The rail gangs usually killed their victims. Their main target was hobos. Most of the rail gangs were composed of people from south of the border. They were usually from different countries all the way down to South America. The hobos were usually not Hispanic. It seemed like some type of racial tension to her.
In the future, racial tensions were all but gone. People needed to think about survival. Before she'd joined up with SkyMaster, everything was about survival. Well, survival and avoiding men. She'd been able to survive, she hadn't been able to avoid all of the men. None of the females had been able to avoid all them.
The female Fanatic headed up the rail siding. She kept track of what was happening around her. She decided once she checked out the building with the siding she couldn't see, she would come back on one of the cul-de-sacs to reach her vehicle. It would give her another look at the area.
Lena finished up with the man she'd question earlier than Tina did. The man was now terminated. She'd been able to come up with the location of where five females were taken. She'd also been able to come up with the location of several of their satellite installations.
When she checked on the man who was the boss, he was dead. Evidently the internal injuries he'd suffered from having the metal door slammed against him caused enough damage for him to bleed to death internally.
Tina joined her a few minutes later. The man she'd question also terminated. They went over all the information they'd obtained. It was decided the blue van would be a better vehicle to use to visit the other locations. It visited all of them frequently. The money wagon didn't. It was only supposed to come around once a day.
They quickly went through both buildings and ruptured all of the gas lines. They knew it would take a while for the building to fill with fumes. Lena picked up a screwdriver along the way.
"How did your man terminate?" Lena asked.
Tina believed it was a just punishment.
"I tore open a bag of white powder and slapped it over his mouth and nose. I held it in place with his gag. I understand why it's called a gag now. He seemed to gag a lot." Tina said. "He didn't last long when he got a taste of his own poison."
Lena nodded.
"I was going to do the same thing with my detainee." Lena said. "His heart sped up and then stopped before I could. His body self terminated on its own."
They transferred everything to the blue van. Lena got into the empty money van and started it. She backed it up and aimed it towards the office area of the building. She put it in neutral and exited the vehicle. She punctured the bottom of the fuel tank with the screwdriver several times. Gasoline began to pour out. She jammed the screwdriver through the accelerator pedal to hold it to the floorboard. The engine screamed wildly. She stood outside the van and moved the shift selector from neutral into drive. The tires squealed as the van crashed through the front of the building. It stopped somewhere in the middle of the hall halfway down. She could still hear the engine running wildly.
Tina was behind the wheel of the blue van. Lena climbed into the passenger seat. She handed Lena a road flare.
Lena ignited the flare and tossed it into the front of the building as they drove away. It lit the trail of gasoline the van left behind on fire. The flames rushed towards the van.
They were half a block away when the explosion occurred. A few pieces of debris landed in the street around them. One of them hit the top of the blue van. They knew there would be no emergency response.
They checked the drone images. There was nothing new to report. They drove back towards their SUV. Tina stopped next to it. Lena got out of the van and into the SUV. She would follow the blue van until they were a few blocks from the next target.
They followed up to see what the female Fanatic was up to. She was currently walking along a set of railroad tracks. They knew she was after the location of the box truck she'd followed from her previous location.
CamNet's Terminators wanted to know if they were needed at any of the other Resistance operations. They were told there were sufficient personnel already assigned. Their new assignment was to get back the five females and any other ones at the next location.
Every Smooth Curve
A person can always hang back
They can watch and observe
They hold their feelings in check
As their sanity they try to preserve
When they attempt to reach out
It takes a lot more than nerve
They throw caution to the wind
They hold nothing in reserve
They like what they find
They don't try to conserve
They have what they want
They feel it's what they deserve
The emotional famine is over
They no longer starve
It's their own future
They attempt to mold and carve
There's a new master
Whom they now serve
Away from the past they swerve
As they caress every smooth curve
Nobody
