AN: Wow! Am I actually posting this? Yes, yes I am. Am I procrastinating on writing my daily chapter on a Quantum Bang that I want to offer up next year and the rewrite of my other QB fic?
Yes. Yes I am.
Also please remember, this is a kind of fill in story for the main story! I am working on things.
Enjoy!
Labeling the last of Sado's boxes in French and watching as they were packed into the small truck, Ichigo stood up straight with a groan, stretching his arms over his head. Sado walked past him as he talked with the man who was taking the truck to the shipping company that would then ship everything to Paris for him, making sure the payment had gone through. Once the moving men had left, Sado walked back in with a smile on his lips as Ichigo poured them some of the juice left in the refrigerator.
They had enough food in the fridge for the two of them for the next two days while they did some cleaning and fixing for the landlord, and had clothes that they could wash just in case. Isshin had brought over cots and blankets for them, and would pick them up Saturday afternoo during his lunch break to take them back to the house. From there, they would help to clean the house out and prepare it for their friends, their own furniture being moved in the day that the Kurosaki's and Sado left.
Uryu would be taking over the care and insurance of Isshin's car so that they could get around without having to worry about using the bus system all the time for the household food and items shopping. They all had good jobs that worked around their high school classes along with their various family estates and government assistant programs that they were a part of. Ryuuken had taken on the position of Guardian for them and would check on them every day while he worked the clinic.
"So, that is all done," Ichigo hummed as he handed over a glass of juice, smiling at his boyfriend as the other male drained his cup of juice. Sado groaned but nodded.
"It is, yes. My landlord gave me back the rent that I had prepaid for the next few months yesterday and I made sure that it had been sent to my Paris bank along with my last paycheck from work," Sado said. "The conversion rate was interesting but not to horrible in fees."
"Yeah. I feel kind of lucky that my parents have always used an international bank since mom worked all over the world for a while there when she was an actress," Ichigo said. He snipped at his juice with a smile. "Both my education fund and my main account is now in Euros but I have enough cash to last me for the next two weeks. You did the same right?"
Sado nodded and pointed at his luggage with a smile. "I separated it out into enough money to get me anything that may pop up until we leave for Paris and have some for our flight over," he told him. He shifted enough to lean against the counter. "Kagami-san is meeting our things with Tomoe-san yes?" he asked, Ichigo nodding.
"Yep. Our furniture will probably arrive before everything else that we're sending over since we're mostly buying all new things over there for a lot of it," Ichigo admitted. "Since you're sending most of your stuff over and only buying a new living room and bedroom set, she'll be going to meet the movers when they arrive," Ichigo explained.
"That sounds good," Sado drawled. He finished his juice before he turned to the cleaning and fixing supplies that sat on one counter. "What room are going to claim?" he asked.
"I'm doing the living room. You're doing the bedroom tonight, yeah?" Ichigo asked. Sado nodded. "Then we should do the whole bathroom area, the kitchen, the entry way and the storage to," he mused.
"That will be tomorrow since the bathroom is for the most part clean already but it can use a deeper clean," Sado said. "Same with the kitchen. The entry way is usually fine but the shoe closet does need to be vacuumed out because it tends to gather dirt like nothing else."
"There is a reason why it is called a shoe closet," Ichigo chirped, separating out the cleaning supplies. The mops that his sister had picked up for their house to wash the walls, rags that would be washed and dried as needed, spray bottles with cleaner mix, two buckets that would fit the mops and the hard word spray for the living room floors were all set out.
"I'll go start in the bedroom first. The fans are already in the windows yeah?" Sado asked. Ichigo said yes. "Did Isshin say that he was going to drop by with food tonight?" he asked.
"Yeah. Yuzu is using up everything in the house food wise so she doesn't have to go shopping to much. Apparently she found a bunch of yeast and cheese, so she grabbed some pepperoni and is making pizzas for all of us," he said, placing his bucket on the counter. He used the sink hose to start filling it up with hot water. Once it was filled up a good way, he added some of the cleaner and pulled on gloves before he turned to Sado. "Do you want some help with your bucket?" he asked, Sado smiling sheepishly.
Ichigo knew that Sado hated trying to measure out the correct amount of liquid to use in a bucket, having bought his cleaning products with little measuring cups on the top that he could squeeze the bottle of until he had enough liquid without being to much for him. Unfortunately for them, those bottles, being sealed still, had to be shipped with everything else and that meant that he had to measure.
"Please," Sado requested. Ichigo chuckled and made up their spray bottles, filling them with warm water before measuring out how much cleaner per bottle they needed, giving them a light shake. Once he was done with that, he did the same with Sado's bucket and they gathered their chosen supplies, heading into the rooms they had decided to work on first. Ichigo turned on his phone and attached it to the bluetooth speakers that they each had, putting on the podcast that they were both listening to.
They took their time cleaning over the rooms, starting with a basic dusting of the walls, corners, windows and baseboards before they went back over everything with cleaners. Ichigo finished off the living room with the wood duster and polish on the floor, sweeping it back and forth as he walked backwards. He had finished doing the floors just in time for his father to arrive with the pizzas, ready to cook and smiling broadly at his son.
"Ichigo! My sweet child! Look at you being all domestic with your boyfriend," Isshin cooed. He yelped when Ichigo whacked him with the cleaner pole after Ichigo took the trays of pizzas.
"Hello to you to, you asshole," Ichigo drawled. He carried the pizzas into the kitchen and allowed his father to recover from the pole to the head. "Is Karin almost done packing up the last of her sport things?" he asked. Sado came out of the bathroom, having been dumping his dirty water, finished with the bedroom and letting the floor dry behind him.
"Yeah," Isshin groaned. He rubbed at his head with a wince. "How's the cleaning going on here?" he asked as he stood up and stumbled into the kitchen as he shook off the hit. He smiled as he watched Ichigo open the rented conventional oven that was rather large but had been chosen for the fact that they could heat pizza in it.
"We've been able to get the bedroom and living room done today. We'll probably start the kitchen tonight before bed while the living room floor dries. then we'll do the hallways, entryway and the other bathroom tomorrow," Ichigo listed off as Sado stashed their supplies, their mop heads hanging in on his balcony to drip dry.
"I'm known to keeping my place clean," Sado admitted. "I always clean a room somewhat after school and before I do homework depending on when I got home. My grandfather helped to instill it into me. Same with cleaning up after I move out."
"I see," Isshin hummed. He watched as the two pulled out paper plates and cups that would most likely be given to some friends, along with some chips to go with their pizza. Ichigo brought his computer into the kitchen so that they could sit on the cots that they had set up. "I'll leave you two be then. If you guys need anything, please call."
"We will," Ichigo promised him. He smiled at his father as the man left, accepting the kiss pressed to his forehead, getting a chuckle from Sado. "Soon we'll be somewhere new doing something new."
"It'll be good for all of us," Sado said, pulling up a movie to watch on the computer to watch as they waited for the first pizza to finish. The second was stashed into the fridge for the moment. After they had eaten the pizza, deciding to save the second for later if they wanted it, they went to work on cleaning the kitchen, cleaning out the cabinets mostly and making sure they were cleaned out.
They fell into bed a few hours later with it mostly done, exhausted and ready to sleep, uncaring about sharing a single bed between the two of them.
