Chapter 1463

There's A Lot Going On Down There

Cameron was still upset with Savannah's rebuff of her advances. She wasn't quite sure what happened. She also didn't like the response when she told CamNet that Savannah 'belonged' to her. She sensed there was going to be a challenge to her at some point.

She entered the lab. All of the Terminators at the base were lined up in rows to watch the replay of the briefing. What surprised her the most was all the Metal girls were still there. They'd stayed to watch it a second time. They already should have made a file from the first time they'd watched it. It meant something to them on a personal level to watch it again. It was the effect Cameron wanted the girls to have on all the Terminators. Her desire was to have all the machines want to back the girls on their own, regardless of their programming.

The presentation John Henry and CamNet prepared was almost like watching a movie. She watched it now too. None of the Terminators turned to look at her when she'd entered. It was unusual in itself. Normally wherever she went some place, everyone always looked at her. She could understand on the ship when she was in her formal dress why heads would turn. On a normal day, wherever she went, they all looked at her anyway. She looked around at the Terminators in the lab. Right now she was just part of the crowd. The real action was on the monitors. Those were the true stars.

Breakfast was almost finished. It seemed everyone was ready to break up into groups or pairs when they left.

Young Allison was at the Resistance base now. She really wanted to spend time with Savannah. Young Jesse was there as well. She would need to defer to Young Jesse for Savannah's time. She thought about going back to Palmdale. She didn't want to be in the way.

"Are you going out with Young Jesse?" Young Allison asked.

Savannah was lost in thought about Cameron. She needed to think about the question.

"I don't know." Savannah said. "She may want to be with some of the other girls, or maybe John."

Savannah and Young Allison were aware John was with Allison, Vanna and Young Jesse on the ship. They didn't know about Jesse yet. Nobody did.

"I guess we both know what happened on the ship." Young Allison said. "John did it with everyone."

Savannah didn't bother to ask Young Allison what she would've done if she'd gone along on the cruise. She already knew. John would have claimed another virgin. Cameron actually did more of the same with two more of the Metal girls since they'd returned.

"Cameron used Cammy's and Samantha's chassis last night too." Savannah said.

Most of the people were gone from the commissary at this point.

Young Allison wondered where John was. He didn't go back to the Command Center. He wasn't the only one she wondered about. She thought about Savannah's statement. She quickly stood up. She looked worried.

"Where's Anna?" Young Allison asked as she looked around. "Where is she?"

Savannah saw her leave with Samantha and Cammy earlier. They could be anywhere now.

"I don't know." Savannah said.

Young Allison was even more worried.

"We need to find her." Young Allison said frantically. "I don't want her 'busted'."

Savannah understood what she referred to. It should be up to Anna to decide. It shouldn't be Young Allison's decision one way or the other.

"Maybe it's her choice." Savannah said.

Young Allison was defensive.

"Is it your choice?" Young Allison asked.

Savannah did want to know what the experience was like at some point.

"No. It's not my choice." Savannah said. "I still want to try it. Vanna told me it was very pleasant when you have a choice. I'll try it at least one time."

Savannah didn't want her first time to be at the hands of strangers in the Wastelands like it was for all the girls from the future.

Jan and Summer washed the dishes.

Summer noted Young Allison's near panic. It was very unlike her. She hurried over to Young Allison. CamNet fed her the information. She was already aware where they all were. She wanted to put Young Allison's mind at ease.

"Anna is in the lab with all the other Terminators." Summer said. "They're watching the briefing Savannah and you conducted along with the CGI animation associated with it."

Young Allison relaxed a little.

It seemed everyone wanted a 'first' from someone.

Cameron wanted Savannah to be her 'first' female. Savannah was CamNet's 'first' female and 'first' physical love affair. Young Allison wanted Savannah to be her 'first'. Anna wanted Young Allison to be her 'first'.

Young Allison was appreciative of her sister's input.

"Thanks, Summer." Young Allison said. "I need to know if it changes in any way. Can you help me with it? Anna is off limits to everyone."

Savannah didn't think it was fair to Anna. She should be free to choose her partners. The reminder made her think about what Cameron said about almost being with someone from the ship. It was clear 'things' could happen which weren't supposed to. She decided to not say anything.

Summer thought Young Allison's choice was a little restrictive. She wanted to look out for Anna as well. She thought there was another person Young Allison should be more concerned with.

"I'll see what I can do." Summer said. "What about Mom?"

Savannah and Young Allison looked at each other before Young Allison looked at Summer.

"Mom can do what she wants or needs to do." Young Allison said. "I take it you feel the same way?"

Summer didn't mention she was aware of every one of their mother's partners. It included Sarah. She knew it was to remain private. She could 'feel' their hunger build until it exploded and happened. She'd watched it blossom when they were on the ship. When Sarah and her mother first kissed by the balcony in their room, it was clear to her exactly what was going to happen. The only thing she didn't know was when. Now the 'when' already occurred. Going forward it would be the next time, and the next time, and the next time. It clearly wasn't going to stop.

"I do." Summer said. "Everyone is free to choose."

Summer looked at Savannah for a few moments.

Savannah wondered if her 'look' was in regards to Cameron or Young Allison.

Summer turned to walk away. She looked back over her shoulder.

"It's both." Summer said and kept walking.

Savannah swallowed hard with her reply. It was evident Summer knew what she'd just thought.

Young Allison needed to stop worrying about things she couldn't, and probably shouldn't, control. There were personal issues she wanted to deal with.

"I want you and Anna, or Cameron, to do something for me." Young Allison said. "It's very personal. I want you to be a part of it too."

Savannah swallowed hard again. She didn't think it was a 'three way'. She planned to be a part of it whatever it was.

"I'll help you." Savannah said.

'We're in this for life.' Savannah almost said.

Young Allison really felt strongly for Savannah. She knew Savannah was her future.

"Thank you." Young Allison said. "This is what I want to have done…."

Summer was next to Jan at the sink. She looked back at Young Allison and Savannah and smiled.

'They'll all get what they want.' Summer thought. 'I can help them.'

While she didn't want anyone to make decisions for anyone else, she didn't see any harm in helping those achieve what they desired. Sometimes all they needed was a gentle push. Sometimes it was nice to have help.

Young Jesse wanted to be with Savannah. She looked tied up right now. She went off with Riley and Precious. Sarah went with them. Jesse and Claire went off together. John went with Derek and Kyle. Allison and Vanna headed for their room.

Savannah smiled at Young Allison after she told her she wanted to use the laser. She was surprised Young Allison waited this long. It should be a clean sweep this way. She'd needed to go back for some 'touch up'.

"It's the best personal thing I've ever done." Savannah said. "I nicked myself more than a few times with a razor before."

Young Allison laughed. She thought about some of her personal complications.

"I have too." Young Allison said. "There's a lot going on down there. Everything is hard to see."

Young Allison decided to leave out the part where she'd wanted Anna to assist her.

Savannah figured they might as well go check it out. She didn't think it was used on anyone since it was used on Samantha's chassis. She thought back on the history of the machine.

"I'll say." Savannah said. "Let's go to the lab and check on the machine. Cameron 'borrowed' one once. I asked her to pay for it later on, she did."

Savannah and Young Allison checked to see if Summer and Jan needed any help. They didn't. They headed to the lab.

Summer could 'feel' both of them. She would 'help' them in a little bit. She would need to work with CamNet for the best timing.

In the lab, the video of the briefing was just about finished. It started to play a little faster. It ended a short time later. The Terminators there all acknowledged Cammy, Cam and Anna. They in turn acknowledged all the male Terminators who were present through it all.

Cammy made sure she looked at the security camera and acknowledged CamNet and all her Terminators who'd assisted as well. CamNet saved Savannah and her more than once. After watching the briefing, she learned Summer played a hand in it as well. It was much a bigger role than she'd first thought it to be.

Cameron spoke for the first time.

"I want to thank all of you for everything that happened this last week." Cameron said. "Everyone played a part somewhere."

Cameron told them John Henry would give all of them some duty assignments.

Sheila glanced at the Metal girls.

"I want a booty assignment." Sheila said.

Her statement brought some smiles from the Metal girls.

Cameron walked over to Sheila. She felt there may still be some unresolved issues in San Francisco. She wanted to give Sheila a choice.

"Dan and Frank gave a complete report on what happened in Golden Gate Park." Cameron said. "Do you still wish to claim the park as your own?"

Sheila wanted to deal with the gang members they'd encountered. She'd needed to restrain herself before because the girls from the ship were there.

"I do." Sheila said. "I have unfinished business there."

Cameron knew Sheila had other unfinished business a little closer to home.

"What about the new girls?" Cameron asked.

The smile on Sheila's face straightened.

"I don't know." Sheila said. "I want them, specifically Leticia, to be able to stand on their own two feet."

Cameron was aware an important first step was put into play. It wasn't a problem thanks to the generous 'donations' by the Syndicate and the Cartel.

"CamNet provided them all with enough 'help' to get them started." Cameron said.

Sheila looked at the security camera. She figured it never hurt to push her personal agenda.

"I owe CamNet a big one. She may collect at any time." Sheila said as she winked.

Cameron thought CamNet may want something Sheila might not want to give. CamNet may want Leticia for herself. It wasn't everyday someone ran across a 'trained submissive' who was very beautiful and alluring. It was a side step around Savannah's 'request' CamNet not pursue 'any of the others'. It could be viewed as 'any of the others in the Resistance'. It left the outside world open.

"Be careful what you offer." Cameron said as a warning.

Cameron felt since CamNet was 'her', Leticia is what she would want outside of the Resistance. She'd been so close….

Sheila wanted to offer herself. She didn't want to be an agent for anyone else.

Savannah and Young Allison neared the lab. They could hear a fair amount of noise coming from inside the lab.

"There's a lot of people in there." Savannah said.

Young Allison moved up to the small window in the door. She was a little surprised at what she looked at. She was also pleased at something else she'd spotted.

"It's all of the Terminators." Young Allison said. "I see Anna."

Savannah moved up and looked in the little window too.

"They all watched the briefing." Savannah said. "It just ended."

Young Allison turned around. She didn't want to intrude.

"Maybe we should go." Young Allison said.

Savannah pivoted too.

"I think you're right." Savannah said.

The two girls started to walk away.

Both of their phones buzzed. The girls took out their phones and looked.

"It's CamNet." They both said.

They both answered and carried out different conversations at the same time with CamNet. They were short but direct and to the point.

"I guess we got the same thing more or less." Young Allison said.

They didn't like to be in the spotlight. CamNet felt it was important in the current situation.

"I think so." Savannah said. "She wants us to mingle with the troops together as one."

Young Allison reached over and took Savannah's hand.

"We are one." Young Allison said.

Savannah smiled and nodded.

"Forever…." Savannah said.

Young Allison sucked in her breath slightly.

"And forever is a long time." Young Allison said.

The girls smiled at each other.

"Let's go." Savannah said.

The two girls were very comfortable together.

It was time to face the future as it would be. It would be the two of them together.

The Terminators were about to disperse when the lab door opened. Savannah and Young Allison walked in together, hand in hand.

The talking quickly ended and every head turned towards them.

There were hushed whispers of the 'Chosen Ones'.

Savannah could see they were being surrounded by Terminators. They all wanted to greet them. She wanted three things before the crowd was too thick.

"Grab Anna and Cameron. Head for the rear wall." Savannah said.

Young Allison slipped away and made her way through the crowd. The Terminators saw how easily she moved through them. She was extremely agile. She soon took Cameron and Anna in tow. Savannah went after Cammy who'd already started to walk away.

"Not so fast." Savannah said.

Cammy smiled as Savannah took her hand.

Savannah led Cammy over to where Anna, Young Allison and Cameron were. Cammy and Anna understood the significance of being included with the girls and Cameron. It showed their love for them.

CamNet already showed Anna the images of Young Allison's concern for her in the commissary. It strengthened Anna's resolve to 'wait' for Young Allison to be her 'first', no matter how long it took.

Anna and Cammy moved Cameron to the center with Young Allison and Savannah on either side of her.

Savannah and Young Allison made sure their Metal girl remained next to them. It was important to them. It was important to all of them.

Ally and Hanna led a cheer for them.

Cameron smiled at Young Allison and Savannah. She stepped back and moved their hands together. A further cheer went up. Cammy and Anna released the hands of the girls and took a step back to join Cameron behind Savannah and Young Allison. Another cheer went up.

Young Allison sought a kiss from Savannah.

The room fell silent.

The two girls looked at each other and moved closer.

They kissed and embraced. They kissed again.

Camille was next to Cam.

"What just happened?" Camille asked.

Cam looked around.

"I'm not sure." Cam said.

The loudest cheer of all went up. It could be heard throughout the base.

"Did they just get married?" Camille asked.

Cam didn't think it was anything quite so extreme. It certainly sent a message.

"I don't think so, but the relationship is definitely official at this point." Cam said.

Strangely enough, Ally and Hanna did the same thing at the same time Savannah and Young Allison did. They were off to the side. They weren't sure why. They just felt compelled to do it. It was what they'd wanted to do anyway.

Camille felt a little sad and relieved. No one would take Young Jesse away from her, yet. Wait. Maybe John could. She didn't want to deny Young Jesse any personal happiness. She figured she might as well see what she could get out of it as well. She would ask Young Jesse to make it a 'three way' at some point.

Cameron watched the two girls in front of her. Maybe this was what Savannah wanted to happen first. She knew she always needed to trust Savannah's judgment. As much as she wanted to be with Savannah, she needed to respect Savannah's true desires. She was aware Young Allison would be able to give comfort and support to Savannah. It would be an emotional level she could never achieve. She understood.

Jan looked at Summer. Her eyes were closed and she just stood there very still. It was like she was lost in deep concentration.

"Summer." Jan said and then said again. "Summer!"

A smile appeared on Summer's face as her eyes opened.

"What happened?" Jan asked.

Summer was very pleased with what she felt.

"I helped my sister get what she wanted." Summer said.

Jan didn't know what she referred to.

"Oh." Jan said. "Let's go play some music."

Summer was sure there was music was in the air.

Moments ago:

Allison and Vanna were together.

They looked at each other and kissed. They embraced and kissed again.

They both blinked and looked at each other

"What just happened?" Vanna asked.

Allison was overwhelmed with a compulsion.

"I'm not sure." Allison said. "I just needed to kiss you."

Vanna experienced it in her very being.

"I felt the same way." Vanna said. "It was what I wanted to do anyway."

It was what Allison wanted, but it was different.

"Me too." Allison said.

Vanna couldn't quite explain it

"It was in my mind to kiss you." Vanna said. "It was like something I needed to do."

Allison felt some euphoria.

"Me too." Allison said. "It seemed like a pretty good idea too."

Now it was time to kiss elsewhere. The girls repositioned themselves.

John wanted Derek and Kyle to see the briefing in its entirety. They doubled back to the Command Center. They went the back way.

Kyle wanted Sarah to experience what Derek and him faced.

"I want Sarah to see it as well." Kyle said.

John didn't have a problem with it.

"It's fine." John said.

His mother was a part of it too. The part with Cammy and her bothered him. Maybe he could get some additional perspective.

Kyle called her.

Derek wanted Riley to experience it as well.

"Ask her to bring Riley." Derek said.

Kyle spoke for a bit with Sarah.

"Can Young Jesse come too?" Kyle asked.

John looked around. He thought everyone should be there. Well, except one person. He didn't want to create a problem for anyone. He was sure it was something which needed to be done. He thought the sooner it was done, the better it would be. He didn't think it was anything Claire should be angry about. He thought it was something she should be proud about. Right now he needed to support the girl's wishes.

"Everyone can come except Claire for this version." John said.

A screen showed John where Jesse and Claire were. It was in Jesse's room.

A few minutes later Sarah arrived holding Precious. Riley pushed the baby carriage. Allison, Vanna and Young Jesse followed behind them.

Some of them were standing. John didn't believe it was the type of presentation where anyone should be standing.

"I need everyone to take a seat." John said.

He got up and closed the door to the Command Center and locked it. Everyone looked at each other. It was different.

"What we see here in its full version stays in this room." John said. "There are some things which happen which Young Allison and Summer have asked their mother not know about. You will see what they are. I feel it's important for everyone to see."

Young Jesse felt Jesse should be there with her.

"What about Jesse?" Young Jesse asked.

John didn't think it would be a problem to show it to Jesse and anyone else who wanted to see it again.

"I can show it to her later on." John said. "I want to respect Young Allison's and Summer's wishes in this matter. The girls you will see here in action, are the future of the Resistance."

The briefing in its entirety began to play.

Minutes ago:

Summer hurried Jan along. They snuck into the Command Center ahead of everyone. They were in the back, but could see all the screens.

"This is like a secret mission." Summer said. "It's our goal to remain undetected and gather information."

Jan liked the idea of an infiltration mission.

"It sounds like fun." Jan said.

Summer wanted to issue Jan a warning. She already warned her earlier. She wanted to make it clear. She decided to spell it out.

"It's not fun. There will be extreme violence and death. It's all for real." Summer said. "Are you sure you want to view it?"

Jan didn't think it would be anything new. Maybe the way it was presented would be what was new. As to what actually occurred, she knew how things played out. It was the way they needed to play out. It was what was necessary to protect the future.

"I think so." Jan said. "I've looked at drone footage and body cam footage before. Mom has tried to acclimate me to my future. I know we need to kill to survive."

Summer wanted to offer Jan a way out as part of the mission. She didn't want there to be any problems.

"Here they come." Summer said. "If it starts to bother you, I want you to leave by the back way and remain undetected. You're to withdraw before you compromise the mission."

Jan wanted to hang tough. She looked at Summer and spoke with sincerity.

"Help me to stay through it." Jan said. "I know you can do it."

Summer didn't want to create pressure needlessly. Life was about choices. Jan needed to make her own in this regard.

"I don't want to force you." Summer said. "You need to make decisions like this on your own."

Jan didn't think Summer would abandon her.

"I don't think you'll leave." Jan said.

Summer doubted she would ever be able to leave any of it. It was just starting for her.

"No. I'm part of it." Summer said.

Jan remembered Summer was actively engaged earlier. She wondered what the extent of her involvement actually was. She wasn't sure if she should ask or not. Maybe it was better if she knew before she saw it.

"Did you kill anyone?" Jan asked.

Summer believed her actions were justified. The enemy attempted to attack them at several different locations. She'd protected those in the Resistance. She didn't hesitate when she did it, she wouldn't hesitate again. She would do whatever was necessary, with whatever force was necessary.

"Yes." Summer said. "I was responsible for many deaths."

Jan only ever practiced killing during training. No one ever actually really got hurt.

"Did it bother you?" Jan asked. "What did it feel like?"

Summer felt it was like she was doing her job. It was like any task one set out to do.

"It didn't feel like anything to me." Summer said. "I stopped others from hurting our people. There's nothing to feel when you do it."

Jan remembered what Cameron always told her.

"Is it about winning?" Jan said. "Is it like Cameron said?"

It seemed pretty straightforward to Summer.

"If you don't win, you lose." Summer said. "When you lose, you can die in this business. It's just that simple."

The girls hunkered down as everyone arrived and the presentation started.

Savannah and Young Allison held each other close right now. The full impact of what they went through over the last week touched them.

The Terminators all filed out until only Cammy, Anna and Cameron remained with Savannah and Young Allison.

The girls soon regained their composure and kissed one more time.

Young Allison looked at the three Terminators. She hadn't banked on Cammy being there, but it was OK. Cammy showed her what she would look like everywhere before because of a bet Cammy lost. It was a bet where she would have lost something too if she hadn't won. It was a sobering reminder to be careful when you bet. She wanted to find out a little more about it too. She would ask for Savannah's assistance. It was very personal.

"We all know why we're here." Young Allison said. "Let's get started."

Cammy and Anna went to leave.

Young Allison didn't want anyone to feel excluded.

"You two can stay." Young Allison said.

Cammy and Anna smiled.

"We'll assume JAFO status." Anna said.

Young Allison wanted everyone to be included.

"There are a few places which need 'work'." Young Allison said. "I think everyone can help."

Savannah looked at the small group. She wasn't sure when she saw any of them quite as happy before. They might be machines, but she knew 'happy' when she saw it.

Jesse and Claire were in Jesse's room. They really wanted to be with each other in a slow loving way. It was what they did. They were going to be tied up for a while.

John Henry was aware the Command Center was in use right now. He handed out some assignments. Gail was the first to volunteer for one. The rest of the Metal girls did as well. Soon there was a task for everyone.

He tried to keep things simple for the Metal girls. They were all things which needed to be done sooner or later. They should be low risk, but so should half of the things Savannah faced. They didn't always stay low risk.

John Henry checked to make sure everyone was away. Samantha was to arrive a little later if Claire tried to leave before the briefing in the Command Center was over. It was the 'insurance' to buy more time if it was necessary.

He approached Jesse's room. He was pleased to see the door wasn't closed tight. It seemed like a good time to do some 'observational research' on females. His sheath responded in seconds. It seemed he could never study enough….

The attacker decided to continue straight for another minute before he would make a right hand turn. He checked behind him as he made the turn. He didn't spot anyone. It bothered him because he was the sole survivor of his team. Everyone else had been killed. He should be elated he'd survived. He wasn't. He felt guilty.

He reached down and touched his ankles. He winced in pain. He lifted his hand back up and looked at it. It was bloody. He wiped his hand on his pants. The dog had bitten him on each ankle as he tried to go over the gate. He was pretty sure if the dog still hadn't been groggy, it would have done a lot more damage. As it was, it hadn't been able to catch him before he'd reached the gate. He was pretty sure if the dog would have got a hold of him before he made it up onto the gate, he would still be back alongside the building, and the dog would still be tearing his body apart.

He reached up and touched his neck. He winced in pain again. He looked at his hand. It was bloody. He wiped his hand off on his pants again. It was clear he'd taken some shrapnel. Whether it was cement fragments, or bullet fragments, he didn't know.

Maybe he should have returned back to his base after the other attack. He shouldn't have worried about the recon on the next location. They should have waited until darkness before they'd arrived. Either way, the dog would have given away their presence. It didn't matter if it was daylight or not.

The attacker looked behind him as he made another turn. He still didn't spot anyone.

CamNet's male Terminator keep his distance. There were two vehicles to worry about now.

The driver of the car took off. The other two men needed to go over the fence and check on the attacker who'd been shot. They needed to be wary of any others in hiding. They decided to look over in the area where the dog was at. It was where the man had last been seen. They realized there was a possibility he may have been hit and was alongside of the building with the dog.

The dog was further enraged as the two men approached.

"I don't see anyone but the dog." The first man said.

The second man thought about the report from the sniper.

"We know he made it around this corner." The second man said.

The first man noticed something on the gate.

"I see fresh blood on the gate." The first man said.

The dog seemed further enraged as the man pointed at the gate with his hand.

The two men looked around on the ground where they stood.

"There's blood out here as well." The second man said.

The two men followed the sparse blood trail out to the street. They lost track of it.

"It ends out here in the street." The first man said.

The second man thought of the possibilities.

"He either got in to drive a vehicle away, or entered a vehicle which pulled up." The second man said.

The first man contacted the driver of the vehicle which let them off.

"The perp definitely left in a vehicle. We don't know what type it was." The first man said. "He was wounded or injured in some capacity. We spotted fresh blood on the gate and the driveway out to the street."

The driver of the vehicle turned left when he reached the first cross street. He thought he might have spotted a car make a right hand turn further up ahead. He was headed in the direction now.

"I caught a glimpse of something up ahead." The driver said. "I'm headed there now. If I make contact, I'll let you know."

The two men headed over to the gate to go over to the building which was directly in back and theirs. The dog had moved over to the side where they were at. It continued to bark at them.

"Doesn't the dog ever get tired of barking?" The first man asked.

The second man didn't think so.

"It's the only thing it knows to do." The second man said.

The first man reached in one of his pockets and came out with an energy bar. He walked up to the fence where the dog was at. It barked viciously as he approached. He unwrapped the energy bar and held it up to his mouth as if he was going to eat it. He simulated taking a bite and chewing it. The dog's barking slowed. It lost its vicious tone. He held the energy bar out through a gap in the gate. The dog stopped barking. It sniffed the energy bar and took a bite. It ate it and waited a few seconds. When it saw there wasn't any more, it started to bark again. It wasn't the vicious bark anymore. The man gave the dog another bite.

They quickly climbed over the gate next door. They could hear the dog on the other side of the wall. He broke off another piece of the energy bar and tossed it over where it sounded like the dog was at. He hoped it would keep it occupied for a while as it looked for more morsels on the ground where the piece landed.

They carefully made their way alongside the building and looked towards the back. They could see a body sprawled on the ground near the fence at the rear. There was no one else around and the body wasn't moving. The security camera only picked up two men come over the gate at the building in back. One was reported hit, the other was spotted leaving. There shouldn't be anyone else.

As they approached the man on the ground, they could see he'd suffered a head shot. It was clear he was dead.

They communicated with one of the men in their building who watched the security cameras. He hadn't reported any other threats spotted. The man on the roof hadn't spotted anything else either.

They searched the man and looked in the backpack on the ground next to him.

"This all looks like surveillance gear." The first man said. "I don't think it was an attack."

The second man felt he needed to point out the obvious.

"What happened here might not have been an attack, but it was a precursor to one." The second man said. "They wanted to see what we were up to. It's clear our location is blown."

They continue to look the man over.

"Look at his clothing." The first man said. "I can see it has fresh burn marks on it."

The second man noticed it as well. He also noticed something else.

"It looks like he took a few pieces of shrapnel recently as well." The second man said. "These men may have been involved in an attack before they arrived at our location. I'm not sure we're very secure."

The first man didn't think any location was secure. It seemed the groups always had a way of finding each other. They found other groups as well. When they did, they would be attacked. It was simply a continuation of the future, in the past.

Since the rifle used to bring the man down, and take shots at the fleeing man was suppressed, there shouldn't be a report of gunfire anywhere. They would need to deal with the body. They picked it up and dumped it over the fence into the back of their area. They tried to keep it upright some so more blood wouldn't run out of it.

The dog on the other side began to bark again. The man reached down and picked up a section of the dead man's skull. There was still flesh and hair attached to it. It looked like there was some brain tissue on the inside of it. He moved closer to the fence where the dog was at and tossed it over. The dog stopped barking immediately. He could soon hear some crunching noise as the dog started to chew on the bone. He didn't know if it would actually eat the bone or just the flesh off of it. He really didn't want to know.

They went over the fence back into their property. They would deal with the body later on. They moved it in back of a few old wooden crates at the rear.

The two men headed back towards the building. They were going to need to relocate. They checked in with the driver of the car to see if he'd spotted the other vehicle yet.

The female Fanatic stayed on the gas pedal hard. She tried to make herself as small as possible in the seat. She wanted to put some distance between the building and them. She knew there was going to be a large explosion. She just didn't know how large it would be.

After thirty seconds she felt confident.

"I think we're okay." The female Fanatic said.

Jill was a little apprehensive as she crouched down in the seat.

"It's not going to be a nuclear explosion is it?" Jill asked.

The female Fanatic shuttered a little bit.

"No, it's not a nuclear explosion. I've seen the results of those before." The female Fanatic said. "If you're not in the immediate area where one of them goes off, you'll be fine. They do a lot of physical damage at 'ground zero' but not elsewhere around them. The main after effect is the radiation. It actually dissipates rather quickly."

The female Fanatic knew Skynet attempted to construct Cobalt bombs after it took over. It gave up on the endeavor in the future when it was clear it had severely crippled mankind. It wanted the survivors to work for it as slaves.

Jill didn't want to be around any type of nuclear explosion if it could be avoided.

"I think I'll pass on finding out." Jill said.

A few seconds later there was a flash of light behind them.

The female Fanatic saw it.

"Hunker down, the shock wave will be here in a second." The female Fanatic said.

They heard the explosion noise at the same time they felt the car rock a little bit.

Jill waited a few more seconds. She really didn't know what she'd expected. It seemed anti-climatic.

"Is that it?" Jill asked.

The female Fanatic was relieved.

"That was it." The female Fanatic said. "There should be a smoking hole in the ground where the building once was."

Jill wondered what was next.

"Are you going to kill the other man when we catch him?" Jill asked.

The female Fanatic planned to at some point. She hoped to remain undetected for now and see how events played out. She wanted to remind Jill of her new goal.

"Eventually I will." The female Fanatic said. "I hope he leads us to the other two big rigs. You still have two more truck drivers to kill."

Jill was pleased at the prospect of being able to kill the rest of the men who'd abused her. Through Jackie's actions, it appeared all but two of them were now dead. She did personally finish off two of them herself. It pleased her immensely. She thought about a more just punishment for them. Jackie offered it to her initially. She planned to use her knife on them before she killed them. What they did to her was wrong.

"I want to kill them." Jill said. "I want them to suffer. I'm going to do what you suggested originally."

The female Fanatic quickly looked over at Jill.

"I understand." The female Fanatic said. "Just know it's a dark road to go down. Sometimes it's easy to get lost."

Jill thought about the container with human body parts in it from the two serial killers they'd dealt with.

"You're right." Jill said. "I don't want to be like those two men."

The female Fanatic reached over and gave Jill's leg a gentle squeeze.

"You'll never be like them." The female Fanatic said. "You're a good person."

Jill wasn't sure what kind of a person she was anymore. Some terrible things happened to her over the last few days. She'd done more than a few violent things to others. She'd actually killed a number of men. She believed all of them deserved what they got based upon their own actions. It didn't bother her because of the people they were.

She looked over at Jackie. She really wanted to share with her once before they died. She was sure it wouldn't be long until the end arrived. It didn't really bother her like she thought it would.

"I really don't know how things will play out." Jill said. "I'd like to be with you before the end. Do you want me to drive for a while so you can get some rest? "

The female Fanatic felt a rush of excitement with Jill's statement. She wanted the same thing.

"I'm good for now." The female Fanatic said. "I want the same things you do. Why don't you try to rest."

The female Fanatic and Jill shared a long look. They both reached over and took the other's hand. They gave it a gentle squeeze. It reminded both of them they were alive. The car with the Gray in it was up ahead.

The Gray sped away from the location at full speed. He didn't think anyone else made it out. He'd been away from the location for just over a minute when he saw a flash of light behind them. He wasn't sure what it was at first. He heard an explosion noise a few seconds later. He figured the power cell in one of the HK Tracks exploded. He hoped it was the one which had gone on a rampage.

He remembered the one man who'd warned them what happened at the mine. He didn't think they took it seriously. He wasn't sure where the other big rigs were at. He knew of a couple other locations. He wasn't going to waste his time with the mine.

The Gray looked behind him. He didn't spot any threats. He checked the gas gauge on the vehicle he was in. He figured he'd better tank up at the crossroad junction. He might be on the road for a while.

CamNet's Terminators continued to watch the action unfold. They watched one of the men escape from the location. The female Fanatic and her associate left a short time later. They were all heading in their direction.

"It looks like the action is coming to us." Lena said.

Tina wondered about the building. It was burning. There'd been several more explosions inside of it.

"Are we going to stop the Gray and the female Fanatic on the road?" Tina asked. "The drone can disable both of their vehicles and we can finish them off. If there's not too much traffic around, we can question them before they're terminated."

They watched the drone footage as there was a massive explosion at the site of the building. It was clear at least one power cell had ruptured and exploded. By the size of the crater created where the building once stood, it was probably more than one. Not only was the burning building obliterated, the buildings on each side of it collapsed as well.

"I don't think there will be much to find there anymore." Lena said.

CamNet directed her Terminators to turn around. They would 'follow' the two vehicles from in front of them. When they reached the crossroad junction, they would need to see which direction the vehicles went.

There's A Lot Going On Down There

When two notice each other
It can begin with a stare
Who will take the first step
To climb desire's stair

When two hearts touch
Will one take the dare
It's the first step
To see if they will share

It doesn't take long
Before they're both aware
It's for each other
They want more and care

How much is each one
Willing to open and bare
Will the load be too great
For the other one to bear

Soon they are a pair
As each other they snare
They prepare to compare
There's a lot going on down there

Nobody
