Chapter 1465
It's Not Like That
Cameron was done in the lab. She decided to check on John. She left Cammy and Anna behind. She wasn't sure what Savannah and Young Allison did after they'd left them behind the lab. It seemed important to Young Allison whatever it was.
She passed by Jesse's room. She spotted John Henry as he walked away. Samantha was nearby. She was aware why she was close by. If Claire decided to leave Jesse's room, Samantha would have entered and kept Claire busy.
Cameron wanted to keep Claire out of the lab and the Command Center. She was sure what happened in both would have been a problem. Mothers could be very protective of their young.
She'd watched a number of nature shows at the first house they moved into when they jumped from 1999 to 2007. The mother animals were all extremely protective of their young. They would become very violent. They would attack any other animal, even if it was larger than them, to protect the young. She knew it was a primal instinct. It carried over to humans. Well, most of them anyway. She did remember the inattentive mother at the beach. It was when Savannah and her were about to kiss on the pier. Savannah didn't hesitate to jump into the ocean to save the child from being swept out to sea by a riptide.
She didn't want to think about the times Savannah and her almost kissed. There was always something which got in the way. It was usually Skynet related. Now just a short time ago, she'd watched Savannah and Young Allison kiss several times. They were all more than a simple kiss. She was sure Savannah wanted to do what she did with Young Allison first, before she kissed her. She would have to see if Savannah would hesitate to kiss her the next time. She planned to find out.
Samantha watched John Henry hurry away. She stayed where she was at as Cameron approached. She didn't mind being a 'pinch hitter' for something like this. It was very rewarding.
Cameron didn't think Samantha would be needed any time soon.
"The briefing is over in the Command Center." Cameron said. "You may return to your duties."
Samantha really hoped she could have entered Jesse's room and shared with Jesse and Claire.
"I will." Samantha turned to leave.
Cameron remembered some of the things Allison spoke about with her. She wanted to give Samantha a little more leeway. She was very appreciative of Samantha allowing her to 'break in' her chassis.
"Wait." Cameron said. "I suppose it could wait another half hour before you would be needed for anything. Make sure you close the door and check before you come out."
Savannah smiled. Cameron just gave her 'approval' for her to be with Jesse and Claire. She moved to the open door of Jesse's room and disappeared inside. The door closed behind her.
Cameron continued on her way. She liked it when everyone was happy.
Summer and Jan slipped out the back way of the Command Center after the replay of the briefing was over. They hurried to the recreation room. They were studying when Sarah appeared in the door.
Sarah looked at Jan and then at Summer. They were close in age but she'd just watched Summer kill a lot of people through her actions. She looked at Jan and didn't think her daughter could do the same.
She wanted Jan to be able to stand tall in the face of danger. She never liked the way John needed to become acclimated to killing. It was to save her. It always bothered her. She knew it bothered John at the time too. She needed to think about the training Cameron provided to the girls. None of them seemed bothered in the slightest by the deaths they'd inflicted on the enemy.
Summer could feel Sarah was on a path she didn't need to be on. She decided to bring her back to now.
"Hi, Sarah." Summer said.
Jan was pleased to see her mother was there. She felt a little rush of excitement about hiding in the Command Center while the briefing occurred.
"Hi, Mom." Jan said.
Sarah greeted them back. She'd hoped to find Claire there. She wasn't in sight.
She left and went to find Kyle.
Jan looked at the empty doorway. She was a little concerned about their previous clandestine activity in the Command Center.
"Do you think she knew?" Jan asked.
Summer could tell Sarah was preoccupied with other things. The main one was her mother. She didn't think it would be a good idea to elaborate about it to Jan.
"No." Summer said.
Jan thought about the briefing. She was very impressed and awed by what Savannah and Young Allison did out in the field. She also was impressed with what Summer was able to do from behind a keyboard.
"I hope I can do some of those things one day." Jan said.
Summer cringed a little at the thought. She didn't want anyone to need to face such danger, especially on a regular basis.
"I hope you never need to." Summer said.
The girls started to study for real.
Earlier:
Young Jesse took Precious from Sarah. She enjoyed being around children. She walked with Riley who pushed the baby carriage.
Riley was aware Young Jesse went to another future to have a baby there for one of the Duplicate Jesses. She wanted to ask her about it, but somehow it didn't seem right. She would hope if she couldn't have produced a baby on her own, her younger self or her mother would have helped her out the same way. Now the rumor was Young Jesse was here to get pregnant again and have a baby for Jesse since she was sterile.
She looked around and wondered where all the Terminators were. They'd all disappeared during breakfast. She would have expected Samantha to show up by now. Maybe they were all doing other things.
Riley hoped to make a move on Young Jesse if Samantha didn't show up soon. It looked like Derek was going to go with Kyle. She didn't know what they were up to. It seemed serious.
Young Jesse wanted to find Savannah. She didn't know where she was. She would have been really surprised to find out what she'd been working on with Young Allison and especially the ending. She really wanted to be with Vanna. She looked like she needed to be with Allison.
Riley watched Sarah come around the corner with Kyle and Derek. So much for the idea with Young Jesse. Maybe Derek and Kyle would pull a recon.
Savannah was a little concerned about earlier. She felt compelled to kiss Young Allison. It just seemed like the thing to do at that moment. She noticed Ally and Hanna did the same thing, at the same time. Her observation made her wonder….
It was time to turn her attention to other things. She felt the need to reach out more to Young Allison.
"What would you like to do today?" Savannah asked.
Young Allison could think a few things…. She also needed to think about Savannah's personal desires. She wasn't the only one in Savannah's heart or mind.
"I don't want to be a bother if you need to spend time with Young Jesse." Young Allison said. "I don't know how long she's here for."
There it was, sacrifice, the true test of love.
Savannah was aware Young Jesse wanted to see other people. She could understand.
"I need to find out if she wants to spend time with Jesse too." Savannah said. "It seemed like Vanna wanted to spend some time with her as well. I don't know what's on her plate specifically."
Young Allison thought there was a fairly easy solution. It was the most straightforward thing to do.
"We can ask her." Young Allison said. "You can make suggestions and give her choices as well."
Savannah wasn't sure if Young Jesse was 'busy' or not right now. She thought the best idea would be to ascertain her current whereabouts without being too intrusive.
"We can look for her." Savannah said.
Cameron found John in the Command Center. He was in there with John Henry. She wanted to get down to business.
"What do we have?" Cameron asked.
John looked up.
"Hi." John said.
Cameron didn't want to seem curt.
"Hello." Cameron said.
She smiled at John and John Henry. She thought she should have opened with the pleasantries instead of a situational update request.
John Henry knew what information she was after.
"I've sent several teams out to do some follow up and recon." John Henry said.
Cameron looked at the duty assignments. There were some surprising developments.
"I see most of the Metal girls are out. It's very unusual." Cameron said.
John reached the same conclusion once he'd found out.
"It is." John said. "I was as surprised as you."
John Henry knew the peril the girls faced repeatedly weighed on the Terminators. He'd received the same request from all of them.
"It's because of Savannah and Young Allison." John Henry said. "Every Terminator has asked me to allow them to do more."
It reminded John of what he saw with everyone at the end of the briefing.
"Every person in the Command Center said they wanted to do more as well." John said. "It included the females too. All of them."
Cameron knew it included Sarah, Vanna, Allison, Young Jesse and Riley. She wanted John to verify his statement.
"All of them?" Cameron asked to make sure.
John looked at Cameron. He wanted to make it clear it applied to him as well. He didn't want to push the issue right now and upset Cameron.
"Every person wants to do more." John said. "All of them."
Cameron would have to review the security footage and see how everyone reacted. She wasn't really surprised, even if she was. It was the same thing. It was because of Savannah and Young Allison. The girls asked there not to be any recognition, or even talk of what they'd done. They said they did what needed to be done, when it needed to be done and everyone would have done the same.
She checked over everything currently pending. It looked like the girls could be spared doing anything for the rest of the day. She planned to 'be' with Savannah anyway the next time she went out. John was able to share a little extra. Now it was her turn.
Cameron looked at John.
John wanted to give Cameron a few options. It was as much for her as it was for the girls.
"I need to get caught up on everything for a while." John said. "Maybe you can take the girls out. They'd love to spend some time with you."
Cameron looked at John Henry and back at John.
"Let's go to our room for a few minutes." Cameron said.
John wasn't sure what was up. He told John Henry he would return in a short while.
Cameron led John back to their room. She thought John looked a little worse for the wear.
"You look tired." Cameron said.
John hadn't got quite the same amount of sleep over the last week, especially the last few days, as he normally did. The effects started to catch up with him.
"I'm a little sleepy." John said.
They entered the room.
Cameron reached over and produced a cup.
"Here, you can drink this." Cameron said.
John looked at it. He could tell what it was by the smell of it.
"An espresso?" John asked.
Cameron smiled. She'd made a stop by their room before she went to the Command Center. She wanted to cover all of the bases.
"Yes. There's also a hot chocolate." Cameron said. "I just made both of them for you."
John was a little surprised.
"Sit." Cameron said.
She handed John the espresso. He took a little sip and made a face.
"Drink it all at once." Cameron said.
John drank it all and grimaced.
"Here." Cameron said as she handed him the hot chocolate. "This will get the 'battery acid' taste out of your mouth. I made you a few special 'energy drinks' for later on."
John wondered why he would need them.
Cameron unzipped his pants as John drank his hot chocolate.
"I like where this is going." John said.
'You will.' Cameron thought.
Cameron went straight to work. John finished in no time.
"Wow!" John said. "It was fast."
Cameron stood and wiped the back of her hand across her mouth.
"There are two more things I need you to do for me." Cameron said. "Jesse and Claire would like to spend some time with you. It will be the conclusion of our honeymoon."
John swallowed hard. Cameron still mustn't know he was with Jesse. If he could be with her a second time he was going to do it. It would give him some cover for 'jumping the gun' earlier. He really didn't think he'd overstepped. He wanted to verify there wouldn't be any problems.
"Are you sure?" John asked.
Cameron gave John a quick kiss.
"I'm sure." Cameron said. "This will go down as the best honeymoon ever."
John thought it would be for him. He now began to wonder if maybe more than just Young Jesse would end up pregnant. He decided not to ask. He didn't want to give Cameron any ideas. She seemed to have enough on her own.
"I'll see what happens, but I won't make any promises." John said. "I don't want to push anyone."
Cameron thought she would give him a little motivation.
"The honeymoon ends today." Cameron said. "Make the most of it."
John wanted to ask about Anna and Savannah. Maybe he shouldn't seem too greedy.
Cameron wanted to keep John focused.
"Jesse and Claire are yours for the taking." Cameron said. "They'll both stop by here at some point. I'll tell John Henry something came up."
John looked down. He realized what Cameron just did and why. She didn't want him to finish too fast or be too sleepy. She was serious.
He decided not to ask about Savannah and Anna with her statement. He really liked the look of Anna. He sure hoped Cameron didn't say anything about Young Allison. He wouldn't seek anyone out. If they sought him out, it was a different story. He really didn't want to push anyone, even inadvertently.
"I'll take care of everything." Cameron said. "Just wait here and one of them will come by."
Cameron gave him a kiss and left.
John looked at the closed-door for a long moment. He wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth. He was more than elated about what transpired and was yet to happen. He certainly wasn't going to turn anyone down. He did wonder about Cameron though. She'd been very generous over the last week. He wondered when it would be time to pay the piper.
Savannah and Young Allison went by Jesse's room.
"It sounds like Jesse is busy." Young Allison said. "I can tell there are three people in there and one of them is my mother."
Savannah wondered how she knew.
"Are you sure?" Savannah asked.
"The walls weren't very thick at our house in Palmdale." Young Allison said. "I've heard everyone thousands of times. I know every sound everyone makes."
Young Allison peeked in on them enough to know what they were doing or what was being done to them when they made each sound. She also felt there was one big problem. None of the sounds from her house in Palmdale were from her. It was something she wanted remedied very soon. She was ready for more. She didn't see what she needed to wait for.
Savannah thought about Young Allison's statement. She figured it included her with Allison, Holly, Hanna and her mother.
"That's nice to know." Savannah said. "I think."
Young Allison laughed.
"If I was never sure, I asked Summer." Young Allison said. "She knew everything and she didn't even need to snoop, but she did sometimes. I encouraged her too. I learned a lot. I thought she should too."
'I know what to do, even if I've never done it.' Young Allison thought.
Savannah looked back at the room as they passed.
"I don't know if Young Jesse is in there." Savannah said.
Young Allison knew who would know.
"If Summer was here, we could ask her." Young Allison said.
The door was closed so it meant something different or important was happening inside. If someone wanted privacy, it was for a reason.
The girls moved on.
They spotted Allison and Vanna. They approached them. It looked like something Savannah didn't want. She figured it was going to be about the briefing. She didn't want to discuss anything with anyone about it.
Vanna walked up and looked at Savannah. Allison did the same for Young Allison. They each gave them a long firm hug and then switched. They moved on without saying anything. Their actions spoke for themselves.
Young Allison could see it went a little smoother than anticipated.
"It wasn't too bad." Young Allison said.
Savannah understood they wanted to respect her wishes. They also wanted to express their own feelings with them.
"No." Savannah said. "It was actually very nice. It said a lot, without saying a thing."
They watched Young Jesse hand Precious to Riley. It looked like she was going to hurry after Vanna and Allison.
"There might be another 'three-way' in the making." Young Allison said.
Savannah shot Young Allison a quick glance.
"It happens." Young Allison said. "It will."
Young Jesse spotted Savannah and Young Allison. She turned towards them.
"I guess you win the prize." Young Allison said.
Savannah tried to joke a little.
"The prize may be you." Savannah said.
Young Allison made it real instead.
"It will happen." Young Allison said. "We all know it will at some point."
Young Allison really didn't know what she needed to wait for. Everyone knew what was going to happen. It was the same thing which occurred in every future.
Now Savannah wondered what the real purpose of what Young Allison wanted to know was about. She was sure it was to prompt her to act, or someone else might. It made her think about what Cameron said almost happened. She'd almost been with someone on the ship and couldn't stop herself. She knew how it was to get caught up with someone. Once everything was right there, it was impossible to turn away.
"It won't be today." Savannah said as she looked firmly at Young Allison.
Cameron came around the corner right as Young Jesse walked up to them.
"I'm glad I found all of you." Cameron said.
Young Jesse looked at Cameron.
"Do you have an assignment for me?" Young Jesse asked. "I'm ready to go out. Savannah and Allison deserve a break."
Savannah cringed a little. She didn't want Young Jesse in the thick of it anymore than she wanted Young Allison to get involved.
Cameron was pleased with the current duty assignments.
"The Metal girls have all gone out instead." Cameron said.
Young Jesse looked worried. She wondered if she should have been a little more attentive.
"Even Camille?" Young Jesse asked.
Cameron didn't see it as a problem.
"Yes." Cameron said.
Savannah and Young Allison wondered what happened to Cammy and Anna at this point. They were with them just a short time ago. It didn't seem prudent to ask in front of Young Jesse. It was doubtful they were out in the field, but they could be.
Young Jesse felt very concerned.
"Will she be OK?" Young Jesse asked.
Cameron tilted her head slightly. She knew events always needed to play out. It wasn't why she was there. She was there for them.
"I think so." Cameron said. "We can all do something together."
The prospect of it seemed to quell everyone's anxiety.
"Oh boy…." Young Allison said. "I think it would be cool."
Young Jesse wanted to spend more time with Savannah, other than in the bedroom. She wanted to do other things and see other places.
"It sounds like fun." Young Jesse said. "I'm in."
Savannah wanted to do it too. She was still tuned in to what happened over the last week. She would like to unwind a little. It was hard for her to disengage.
"What about operations?" Savannah asked.
Cameron smiled at Savannah.
"Everything is covered." Cameron said.
Young Allison didn't want Savannah to worry.
"You know if there was something pressing or important, she'd be there herself." Young Allison said.
Savannah did know it, and she would be there with her.
"OK, OK. It's hard to decompress." Savannah said. "What would you like to do, Jesse?"
Young Jesse knew what she wanted to do.
"Can we go flying?" Young Jesse asked.
Savannah understood the nature of Young Jesse's request.
"Someone's been looking in Cameron's hangar." Savannah said.
Cameron looked down and then looked back up.
"John did earlier." Cameron said.
The girls looked at each other and giggled.
Young Allison moved up to Savannah's ear.
"Someone looked in mine too." Young Allison whispered.
Savannah tried not to laugh.
"I meant the Resistance hangar." Savannah said quickly.
Cameron tilted her head slightly.
"John was there with Jesse when we landed in the Blackhawk." Cameron said. "I showed them around."
The girls looked at each other again and giggled louder. It was evident they all misinterpreted Cameron earlier.
Cameron tilted her head slightly the other way. It seemed she'd missed something. She wondered what Young Allison meant by what she'd whispered to Savannah.
Young Allison wanted to make it clear for everyone.
"I'd like to go flying." Young Allison said.
Young Jesse was thrilled with the prospect.
"I would too." Young Jesse said.
Savannah wanted to share with both of them. She wanted to share with Cameron too.
"I'm in." Savannah said.
Cameron knew the plane they all wanted. It had long legs and a lot of space.
"The Mitchell it is." Cameron said. "There's plenty of room for everyone."
Earlier:
Derek and Kyle were both highly disturbed watching Savannah and Young Allison in action. They thought the girls should get medals if they had any. They didn't. It wasn't the problem. It was their daughters.
Kyle approached Derek as they filed out of the Command Center.
They talked about a few things to start out.
Kyle needed to say what he felt. He expressed his feelings before. They were even further reinforced now.
"I don't want the same future for Jan." Kyle said.
Derek looked around. He understood Kyle's concern better now.
"I'm worried about Precious too." Derek said. "What can we do?"
Kyle brought the subject up before. It usually drew a negative response.
"You know." Kyle said.
Derek frowned slightly. He understood what it meant.
"We run." Derek said.
Kyle immediately frowned. He looked around. He didn't believe protecting his daughter was the same as running. He wasn't afraid of a fight. He just didn't want his daughter in it.
"It's not like that." Kyle said.
Derek tried to look at the big picture, even if he didn't want to.
"What about everyone else's daughters?" Derek asked.
Kyle wasn't really sure how to express it. It seemed there needed to be a certain amount of fairness.
"We've put our time in." Kyle said. "Sarah's fought this battle longer than we have. We all deserve a break."
Derek didn't feel he could turn his back on the battle against Skynet. He would like to have his daughter some other place besides the future.
"I really want it for Precious." Derek said. "I just don't think I can do it."
Kyle wanted Derek to think things through.
"She needs her father." Kyle said. "She needs both of her parents."
Derek thought of Kyle and him growing up in the Wastelands.
"We know what it was like without them." Derek said. "Vanna, Jesse, Allison and Riley all didn't have parents anymore either."
Kyle cringed a little bit at the thought.
"Look what happened to them." Kyle said. "It kills me every time I look at Jan and think about what is going to happen to her at some point in the future. I can picture a group of men holding her down. Look how many times it happened to Vanna."
Derek knew it happened to Jesse a lot too. It's just how it was. It was all wrong. Riley went through some of it too.
"I've looked at Precious and thought the same thing." Derek said. "I can't ever really talk to Riley about it."
Kyle was faced with a big obstacle. It was Sarah. He understood her concern.
"Sarah doesn't want to hear it." Kyle said. "She worries about John being alone."
Derek thought about the close ones he'd viewed Savannah and Young Allison go through in the last week.
"Do you mean if we're gone and the girls don't make it?" Derek asked.
Kyle was very troubled with the thought.
"Yes." Kyle said. "I'm sure what we watched today will reinforce Sarah's resolve to stay."
Derek didn't like the prospect of a lonely future for John.
"The implication is they'll all be killed along with Cameron, and John will be all alone again." Derek said.
Kyle didn't like the possibility.
"Yes." Kyle said.
Derek looked past Kyle. He spotted someone they'd just spoken about.
"Here comes trouble." Derek said.
Kyle turned to see Sarah on her way. He wondered how much of what they said she'd heard.
Sarah walked up to them and smiled.
"What are you two scheming about?" Sarah asked.
Derek wanted to keep it factual, without all of the details.
"We were discussing the girl's actions." Derek said.
Sarah was very impressed. She wanted Jan to learn additional skills.
"It was amazing." Sarah said. "I want Cameron to start training Jan more. Jan needs to step up her game before she needs to face Skynet."
Kyle looked at Derek. It was about the last thing he wanted to hear.
Derek decided he would leave Kyle and Sarah alone. The conversation looked as if it might get heated. He didn't want to get into the middle of it. If he supported Kyle, it would only cause Sarah to be angry at him as well. He didn't think it was a winnable situation for anyone. It was best not to engage.
"I'm going to check on Riley." Derek said.
Derek started to walk away.
"Talk to her." Kyle said.
Sarah wondered what it was about.
Allison and Vanna were about to go to their room. They saw Jesse peek out her door. She was obviously nude.
They were about to say something to her when she went back inside. A few seconds later Samantha came out. She adjusted her top some as she did.
They greeted each other and Samantha hurried away.
Jesse looked back out.
"There's room for more." Jesse said.
Allison was thrilled by the prospect. There was one more thing she needed to think about.
"My mother's in there." Allison said.
Vanna leaned close to Allison.
"Just think of her as 'Samantha'." Vanna whispered.
Jesse made a playful suggestion.
"She likes to have a good time too." Jesse said. "We're all almost the same age."
Claire appeared naked behind Jesse. She made no effort to cover up.
"You three can share." Claire said. "I need to check on Summer."
They all knew Summer was probably the last person anyone needed to check on. They saw her in action in the Command Center with John Henry. Maybe Claire was just being polite so the three of them could share.
Claire threw some clothes on and came out in the hall.
"It's no big deal." Claire whispered to Allison. "We're more like best friends. It's not like we haven't thought about it."
Allison watched Claire walk away. What she said was true.
Jesse already pulled Vanna into her room.
Allison was about to enter.
Claire looked back and winked.
Allison had been close before. Next time she wouldn't blink. Now she could see her mother as 'Samantha'. Samantha was Hot. She really liked the way everything looked on Samantha as well.
Cameron led the girls out.
Jesse was very excited about where they were going. She wanted to know more.
"Where are we going to fly to?" Young Jesse asked.
Cameron wanted Young Jesse to choose.
"We can go anywhere." Cameron said. "You can pick a place. We can go there."
Young Allison was about to say something.
Savannah cut her off. There was one place she would like to avoid.
"We're not going to Las Vegas." Savannah said quickly.
Young Allison frowned.
"Killjoy." Young Allison said.
Young Jesse always heard about Las Vegas.
"It sounds like fun." Young Jesse said.
Savannah remembered all the bad things which happened there.
"It's not." Savannah said. "I was there before."
Young Jesse saw all the hype and glamour the media associated with Las Vegas. She also knew the close one the girls went through in the desert there.
"It still looks like fun." Young Jesse said. "I know a lot of things occurred there."
Young Allison was going to bring up the incident the Metal girls experienced at the Syndicate casino. She didn't want to put a negative note on anything right now.
Young Jesse spotted someone.
"There's Claire." Young Jesse said.
Young Allison looked.
"It's Samantha." Young Allison said.
Young Jesse looked a little harder.
"My mistake." Young Jesse said.
They waved at her as she entered Riley's quarters.
Young Alison hadn't expected to go flying when she'd left Palmdale. She thought it was all about the briefing.
"I didn't bring my flight suit." Young Allison said.
Young Jesse hadn't packed her flight suit when they left Australia.
"I didn't either." Young Jesse said.
Cameron didn't see it as a problem.
"We're good like this." Cameron said.
Savannah wanted everyone to take care of their personal business before they left.
"Let's all take a restroom break and we can head out." Savannah said.
Young Jesse didn't think anyone would need to wait for anyone else.
"We each have a room." Young Jesse said.
Young Allison wanted to keep things simple.
"I'll use Savannah's room." Young Allison said. "My room is unused."
Young Jesse knew it wasn't exactly true anymore.
"We can all share." Young Jesse said.
Young Allison glanced at Savannah and Young Jesse. A lot of scenarios popped into her head.
'I'm sure we will.' Young Allison thought.
Cameron wanted to wrap everything up at the base.
"You can all get ready." Cameron said. "I need to check on a few things."
Cameron watched the three girls go around the corner.
Claire walked around the corner a few seconds later. Her face lit up when she spotted Cameron. They shared some small talk and got caught up on everything.
Cameron told her what she wanted for John and her.
Claire was a little surprised at how direct Cameron was. She was more than ready. She didn't want there to be any problem.
"Are you sure?" Claire asked.
Cameron was very sure.
"I'm asking you." Cameron said. "I want Jesse to visit later on, or if you liked it, you can try it again. He can only do so much at one time."
Cameron gave Claire a long soft kiss on the cheek. She wanted to make everything perfectly clear.
"You can check on Summer and then return to my room. Just go inside." Cameron said. "You'll find what you've always wanted."
Claire swallowed hard. She wanted to finish one time with a male.
Cameron laid out a few more things before Claire left.
Claire looked like a schoolgirl. She seemed extremely elated.
Cameron watched her go and smiled. The honeymoon wasn't over yet. She looked in the direction the girls just went a minute ago. She planned to make it for both of them. John was able to experience plenty. She wanted just one thing.
She wanted Savannah. She was determined to be with her before the day was over.
She was unaware of some of the things happening in the background associated with her base and specifically CamNet.
The attacker waited until he pulled up to a signal before he tried his phone again. He really wanted some advice on what he should do next. He couldn't reach anyone. He felt his last two operations were a bust. He'd lost his entire team between the two locations. Most of them fell at the first location. They hadn't expected the big explosion when they went to move in.
The white van was another concern. The group they'd attacked was known for using them. The other man who got killed at the last location was the one who took them out with an RPG. He looked over in the back seat. The launcher was there. He still had two more rockets for it.
He decided to go back to the last target location he'd visited. The people in the building would know they were 'made'. He didn't think it would hurt to use the other two rockets to hassle them. He should be able to do it from the car and drive away.
He reached down and touched his ankles again. He looked at his hand. There was almost no blood whatsoever. Whatever wounds he sustained had closed up. It still hurt like Hell. He wiped his hand on his pants. He reached up and touched his neck. There wasn't anything on his hand. Those wounds had closed up as well. They hurt but not as bad as his ankles. Maybe he should go back and kill the dog too.
The attacker was sure the other building would expect some type of reprisal. He didn't know if they would expect it so soon. He made a turn and started back towards the target location.
The driver of the second car hung back and let another car move in front of him. Right now he was on his own. There were now three cars between him and the vehicle he was after. There was a delivery van in the lane next to him. He decided to move over in back of it.
All of his attention concentrated on the vehicle he was after. He'd only checked behind him a couple of times. He didn't think there was any type of threat behind him. He was a little surprised when the target vehicle made a right hand turn at the next intersection. He needed to quickly cut over to make the turn. He almost hit a car in the process. The driver honked his horn at him. He immediately flipped him off.
He quickly made the turn. The driver he cut off blared his horn again as he passed by. The target car was in front of him. It was about a half of a block ahead of him. He wondered if the driver of the other vehicle paid attention to all of the honking. If they did, he was about to be 'made'. He quickly pulled over to the curb. He needed to get at least one vehicle between him and the target vehicle. He was a little surprised when another vehicle pulled up in front of him. It backed right to the front of his car.
'What the hell?' The driver thought.
He wondered if it was someone else he'd cut off. If it was, he was about to have his vehicle problem solved. He would kill them and leave them in his vehicle. It was stolen anyway. He would take their vehicle and take off. The attacker wouldn't know he had a new vehicle. He needed things to play out though. He didn't want the attacker to get too far ahead.
CamNet's male Terminator continued his loose pursuit. He'd been instructed to move up and take out the driver from the building. He'd watched both of the vehicles from the drone footage. Now he was in direct pursuit of the second vehicle. He was only two cars behind it when the attacker from the first building made a right hand turn. The driver of the second vehicle needed to move over quickly to make the turn as well. It caused the car in front of him to hit his brakes and honk his horn. He heard it honk again as the car went around the corner. He slowed up some and then went around the corner. He would take care of the man at the next signal. CamNet would use traffic management to make sure he got stuck.
He was a little surprised when the driver pulled over. He figured he wanted to put some distance between him and the car he was pursuing. It would serve his purpose even better. He pulled up in front of him and back right up to the front of his car. He didn't know if the man would bolt or not. It didn't look like it. He got out of his vehicle and walked towards the other vehicle.
The driver rolled down his window.
"What's your problem, dude?" The driver asked. "You're in my way. You're going to get hurt."
The Terminator walked up to the car. He saw the gun in the man's right hand next to his leg.
"Wrong…." The Terminator said.
He could see the driver recognized what he was. He tried to bring the gun up. It wouldn't make any difference. He reached in through the open window and snapped the man's neck with one hand. The gun was halfway up towards him. It dropped down as soon as the man's neck was snapped. He pushed him over in his seat so his body was angled towards the passenger side. He picked the gun up from inside the car and got back in his. The attacker was nowhere in sight. It didn't matter. The drone was still over him. He watched as CamNet took action against the men at the building.
CamNet's male Terminator continued his loose pursuit of the attacker. It appeared he was headed back to the second location he'd visited.
The four men picked up the dead man and started back towards the building. There was still a fair amount of smoke coming out of the trash can. They hurried towards the rear of their building. They were almost to the dumpster.
The man inside the building watched them on the security camera. He checked what was going on out in front of the building and along the sides. All the monitors were clear. He looked back and didn't see the men on the monitor anymore. He wondered what happened. He got up to go look out the back.
Seconds ago:
The four men paused with the dead man they carried as they reached the dumpster. They all began to be hit with metallic objects. All four of them dropped to the ground as sparks blew up around them. They didn't have time to comprehend what happened other than they could feel some type of 'metal hail' as it punctured their bodies. They were all dead within a few seconds.
CamNet sent out the directive. She instructed the Terminator to take down the second car. She would deal with the men from the building. She watched as the Terminator carried out her plan. She enacted her own.
She calculated a gravity mini gun shot for the four men when they would reach the rear of the building. She still didn't know how many others were inside. She wanted to have her Terminator take a look inside of the building.
She still didn't know what all was inside of the mine. Whatever was in the warehouse, which was just turned into a crater, was unknown as well.
She took down the four men as planned. She had a second fire mission set up for the door at the rear of the building. She spotted someone start to come out of the building. She went ahead and fired. There was a time lag as the bullets fell from fifty thousand feet. She saw a shower of sparks where the man had been standing. It appeared he'd moved away right before they hit.
CamNet would need to see what whoever was inside of the building would do next.
Lena headed back towards the crossroad junction. Tina monitored the drone image of the Gray's and the female Fanatic's cars as they drove.
They would go ahead and fuel up. They would head to the other side of the crossroad junction in the same direction they currently traveled. If the vehicle turned left or right, they would simply turn around and continue to follow it in the traditional manner. The drone over the target vehicle would do the actual following.
CamNet's two female Terminators continued their trek. They would be at the crossroads junction in a little while.
The Gray continued his journey. He was headed towards the crossroad junction. He continued to try his phone from time to time. The results were always the same. There was one time when he thought he might have gotten through. Nothing happened. Maybe it was just wishful thinking on his part.
He'd slowed his speed down so he was only going twenty miles an hour over the speed limit. He spotted a car behind him in the distance. It didn't appear to be gaining on him. He wasn't really sure where it came from. He doubted it was a threat. He figured if anyone else was around the blast, they would want to get away from the area.
The Gray was aware they could have turned off of one of the dirt roads he'd passed as well. He would try to keep an eye on them and see what happened.
The female Fanatic stretched out on the rear seat with her legs bent. She took one more look at Jill as she drifted off. She was filled with pleasant thoughts.
Jill glanced back at Jackie. She saw how she lay on the rear seat. Her back was flat on the rear seat. Her legs were bent. She pictured what Jackie would look like naked in the same position. She would move up on her and gently spread her legs apart. Everything would be right there waiting for her.
She felt a rush of excitement as she lightly moistened her lips. She really hoped Jackie and her could share before they died. She was pretty sure she was at the end of the line. If she could stop the terrorists, her death wouldn't be in vain. After what they'd done to her, she didn't care if she died as long as she could kill some of them.
Jill kept her distance from the car in front of them. She knew where it was headed. She glanced back at Jackie again. She wondered what she was dreaming about.
It's Not Like That
Sometimes things go smoothly
Other times they don't work out
One thing is for sure
They lay the seeds of doubt
It leaves a hard reminder
Which is seldom fully understood
It's often the way it is when things
Don't happen like they should
More remains a mystery
Than is ever actually known
The only good thing is
Nothing is set in stone
When anything is different
It represents some type of change
It is not always welcome
It leaves one feeling strange
Sometimes one doesn't know
Where they are actually at
Will the next one be the same
It's not like that
Nobody
