Chapter 1473
Something To Cherish
Gail and Hanna were able to slip into the house from under the van where they were hiding. They did it when the two men went around each side of the van. The men went to the door on the far side of the garage to check it. By the time one man came back to look under the van, they were gone. They'd left a little surprise behind for the men to find.
Once they were inside the house Gail and Hanna moved rapidly. They didn't know what they would find. There could be more people in there for all they knew. They didn't think they'd have more than a minute before the two men returned unless they found the surprise Gail left for them.
Hanna checked the kitchen, den and living room areas. Gail went down a hall and checked the bedrooms. There were three of them.
Hanna could tell the den was being used as an office area. A quick look at the computers showed robotic design software was being developed.
She moved back to see where the men were at in the garage when she heard a door close.
The two men checked the garage for any intruders. None were spotted, the doors were still locked.
The first man was sure it was all an overreaction by the second man.
"See, dude, I told you it wasn't nothing." The first man said.
The second man looked under the van from across the garage. There was no one under it. He took a quick look up at the rafters. There was nothing there. It was clear there was no one in the garage other than them.
"OK." The second man said. "Let's go back in."
The first man was closest to the door to go inside.
The second man was the one who looked under the van. He went to walk away.
The first man looked back with a sneer on his face.
"You're too much, dude." The first man said. "Let's go inside and get some 'stank'."
The second man laughed a little.
"I'm ready for some." The second man said. "We got a good one this time."
The first man paused at the open door to the house. There was a laundry room and another door from the kitchen.
"Do you smell that?" The first man asked.
The second man sniffed.
"It's probably from the skank we put the grab on." The second man said.
The first man closed the second door into the house and then the door which opened into the garage.
"Dude, that's gas." The first man said.
So far the second man hadn't picked up the smell.
"Now who's paranoid?" The second man asked.
The first man moved and quickly looked at the water heater. There was no smell from there.
"Dude, I think it is gasoline." The first man said.
The second man was at the rear of the van. He bent down and looked under it again.
"Oh, crap." The second man said. "The van is dripping fuel."
The first man looked over at the water heater. He was aware the pilot light on the water heater could ignite the fumes of the gasoline. They needed to shut down the water heater or move the van out of the garage. Since they didn't know where the leak was at, the best choice would be to move the van. It would most likely continue to leak.
"We need to get it outside." The first man said.
He went to push the button to open the garage door. It was on the wall next to the door to go inside.
"Don't." The second man shouted. "There might be an electric spark. It could ignite the gasoline vapor."
The second man went over and pulled the garage door disconnect lever. It was so the door could be manually opened. He opened the door.
The first man opened up the driver's door and tried to move the shift selector into 'Neutral'. It didn't move. He fumbled around for his keys and put them in the ignition. He attempted to move the shift selector again. It still didn't move. He quickly climbed in and put his foot on the brake and worked the selector again. It moved into 'Neutral'. He hopped out and looked at the front wheels. They were straight. It was time to push.
"Put your back in it, dude." The first man said.
The second man was a little irritated by the name the other man referred to him as. He'd heard it a half dozen times in the last few minutes.
"I told you before. Don't refer to me as, dude." The second man said. "Let's move this tub."
The second man hurried to the front of the van and started to push as the first man pushed from the side and steered when necessary.
They got the van outside and checked to see what they could do to stop the gasoline leak and hopefully fix it.
Hanna went to see what Gail found once the man closed the first door. She could hear they were going to move the van outside.
Gail found two bedrooms for sleeping and a third bedroom with a female. She was bound and gagged. She was still clothed. The bed in the room had rope and chain on the four corners. The mattress was stained with dried blood in multiple places and what appeared to be other dried substances in the center of the mattress.
Hanna entered the room and took in the scene.
"We've seen this before." Hanna said.
Gail understood exactly what she referred to.
"These guys are future Grays and Scavengers." Gail said. "Where are they?"
Hanna was able to get a visual of the two men once they moved the van outside.
"They're fixing the van now." Hanna said.
Gail hadn't needed to do very much to start the leak. She wanted it to look like it wasn't an intentional act.
"It won't take them long." Gail said. "I just pulled the short hose from the gas tank to the fuel line loose. They should be able to reconnect it soon. They'll just need a screwdriver to loosen the clamp to put the hose back on and then re-tighten it."
Hanna checked the female.
"She's still alive." Hanna said. "She'd been drugged with something."
Gail looked at the mattress.
"There've been several before her who don't appear to have been as lucky." Gail said.
Hanna watched Sheila deal with numerous sex offenders when they conducted Cameron's off the books operations.
"It looks like it is time for some justice." Hanna said.
Gail didn't like the abuse of females.
"It's payback time." Gail said.
The two female Terminators wanted to do a little more than just terminate the two men. They wanted them to suffer some punishment for what they'd done to others.
Sarah was going to stop by and see Precious. When she turned the corner, she saw someone go into John's room. She didn't see who it was. She wondered if it was Jesse or Claire. She didn't think it was Riley.
She passed by Riley's room and went to John's door to listen. It was quiet inside. She heard a squeak type noise and saw the baby carriage about to come around the corner. She didn't want to get caught spying on John. She hurried forward and moved past the door and into the next room. She waited there until Samantha went back to Riley's room. She decided to go check Claire's room and see what was happening there.
Sarah came around the corner and looked back. She spotted John in the hall now from the direction Samantha came from. It looked like he came from the hall where the girl's rooms were at. She wondered if he got lucky or was attempting to get lucky. She hoped he hadn't spotted her.
She rounded the corner and headed for Claire's room.
Summer was going to go back to the Command Center. She was almost to the rec room when she spotted Sarah come around the corner.
Sarah figured Summer was most likely on her way to see her mother. She looked behind her for some reason. She figured it must be John at this point. She'd spotted him earlier.
Summer quickly went into the rec room and killed the lights. About a minute later Sarah passed by. Sarah looked in but didn't stop. She moved to the door and looked out. When she'd passed her mother's room earlier, the door wasn't closed tight.
Sarah took the signal for what it was and entered. The door closed tight behind her.
Summer continued on back to the Command Center. It looked like everyone would be happy and busy. She hadn't even needed to 'help' Sarah or her mother make the proper choice, this time. It didn't look like there would be any problems either.
John Henry looked over and Summer was back at her station working. Now he wondered if she'd been there the whole time. He checked his files and she was gone for a while. He wondered what she'd been up to.
He noticed all the security monitors were back on in real time. All the halls were empty. He figured CamNet covered up something. He knew not to check or question it. He wondered if any of his files would be deleted.
Young Jesse felt she'd developed a good feel for the Mitchell. She felt confident enough to make a practice run.
She lined up on the target and opened up. The rounds from the first burst were all short. She quickly fired a second time. All the rounds were all long.
Undaunted she kicked up the power and came around from the side, but not too hard. She fired again and scored. The projectiles hit the target.
Camille watched everything Young Jesse did. She wanted to give her a reminder.
"Watch the altitude." Camille said.
Young Jesse kept it in mind. She'd wanted to hit the target.
"Roger." Young Jesse said.
She upped the power and climbed more before she came around again and scored.
She practiced six more times from several different altitudes. One of them was from five thousand feet.
Young Allison and Savannah watched the new move and saw her score. It was a long shot and it worked.
Cameron wanted to keep two hundred rounds of ammunition for the four side guns in reserve. They might do some more target practice later. They might find a Skynet target. Things like it happened before.
It was time to move on to the next adventure.
Cameron let Camille pick a heading and a destination for now.
Camille gave Young Jesse some instructions. They were going to be flying for a while.
Cameron made her way into the nose.
Savannah followed her.
Young Allison went to follow Savannah but Anna stopped her.
"Why don't you take the top turret for a while?" Anna asked. "Two in the nose is enough."
Young Allison wanted to be a part of what was going on up there. What did Anna really just tell her?
She moved into position and looked out of the top turret. It was a three hundred sixty degree view around them. She was pretty sure it would be incredibly loud with a 'Ma Deuce' on each side of her head.
She looked down between the guns and saw Anna was in the jump seat behind Young Jesse. She wouldn't be able to easily get to the short tunnel to the nose now, even if she tried.
Cameron was a little surprised when Savannah followed her into the nose. There was room for both of them to sit side by side, even if it was a little tight. The nose itself was only slightly narrower than the cockpit.
Savannah took Cameron's hand as they looked out and around them. The view was excellent from the nose.
Cameron wondered if her hand started to glitch or something at first. She quickly realized Savannah wanted to express her love silently. It was a simple act which 'said' a lot, without a word needing to be spoken.
She looked at Savannah and smiled. She understood Savannah didn't want her to feel rejected or rebuffed by what happened, or didn't happen, in the Command Center earlier.
They sat together hand in hand and enjoyed the view as the reverberating drone of the two great piston engines thundered on.
Cameron didn't have any doubt Savannah's love for her was as strong as ever. It made her so much more aware there was a difference between love and lust. It was clear love came first with Savannah. It was something to cherish.
Claire watched as her room door opened. She wondered if Jesse was back. Maybe it was Samantha. She was very pleased at who it was.
Sarah wanted to make sure who she was with this time. She encountered three surprise guests so far when she'd expected Claire. It was evidently as popular a room as Jesse's room was. She could understand why.
"Claire?" Sarah asked.
Claire was very pleased with who her current guest was.
"Sarah!" Claire said.
It was what Sarah was after. She still didn't know she'd been with Riley, and not Vanna, earlier.
Sarah stripped off her clothes and climbed into bed.
Claire and Sarah soon melted into each other's arms.
Sarah felt these moments were something to cherish.
Vanna drove the SUV away from the 'Bottomless Maids' front location.
Allison was in the front with her, Cam and Holly were in the rear seat.
Vanna looked in back of them. She'd spotted a vehicle behind them several times.
"I think we have a tail." Vanna said.
Cam and Holly became combat alert. They knew not to turn around yet to look. They didn't want to inadvertently tip their hand.
"How far back are they?" Cam asked.
Vanna looked in her mirror.
"They're three cars behind us." Vanna said. "They've followed me through three turns and always hung back about the same distance."
Holly thought about the receptionist's actions as they walked out. It was clear she didn't want them to leave.
"I guess they didn't like us walking out." Holly said.
Allison checked her weapons.
"Apparently not…." Allison said.
Holly reached around the seat and pulled out two vests. She handed them to Allison between the seats.
Allison put hers on and was about to help Vanna put hers on.
Vanna glanced at the vest and then back at Allison's tummy area.
"Keep it over your abdomen." Vanna said. "I'm good."
Allison felt as guilty as could be for her earlier animosity at Vanna. Vanna was willing to give up her own protection for her and her baby. It showed the true depth of their love for each other. It reminded her how foolish it was when little things, which didn't really matter, got in the way.
"Thank you, Vanna." Allison said. "I'm good with one like everyone is going to have. Everyone is going to wear one. If everyone doesn't, I'm going to take mine off. That's final."
Allison looked back at Holly and Cam. They got the message. She then helped Vanna put hers on as she drove. She noted Vanna didn't drift into the oncoming lane like she had.
Cam was updated by John Henry. It was welcome news.
"We have drone support." Cam said. "There are two drones at fifty thousand feet."
Vanna kept an eye on her mirrors. She knew the additional altitude would only slow a missile strike by a few seconds.
"It's good to know." Vanna said. "Someone is looking out for us."
The girls discussed what they wanted to do. They decided to lead the tail car into a low populated area or an industrial tract. If it attempted to make a move on them in one of those locations, they would be able to strike it with a missile. Hopefully there would be less collateral damage.
John Henry was all over everything and gave them some specific instructions. The girls liked what they heard. They didn't know who else was in the Command Center with him. All of the current ideas actually originated with them.
Summer was pleased there were drones with all of the teams currently out. All of them would be able to be protected with a direct missile strike in seconds. If they could plan ahead, she could use a gravity minigun shot.
"If the car tailing them gets within one car length, or attempts to pass them, I want it hit with 'metal hail'." Summer said.
John Henry thought Summer was speaking to him. She wasn't.
She was actually discussing the tactic with Jan. She pointed out what she would do, when and how.
He also knew CamNet heard everything and would now act if he didn't. He wasn't sure if it was all planned by Summer to come out like that or not. What she'd just done was given a 'command', without stepping on anyone's toes, or being directly involved. She was good. At that moment, Summer looked at him and winked. It was like she'd read his mind. Summer looked at him and winked again.
Summer went over some additional information with Jan.
"We also now have two teams which can intercept them. There are two more drones with them." Summer said.
John Henry knew all the bases were covered now. He thought about the earlier decision to have two drones with each team. He wasn't exactly sure where the idea originated from. He glanced over at Summer and she winked again.
Earlier:
Bob pulled into a mall parking structure. They were going to dump the SUV they were in and get some different transportation.
They received a directive to procure two vehicles and prepare to assist Cam's team. They did so with the utmost haste. Based on the current unknown threat level, Derek and Kyle would each drive. Jim would ride with Kyle. Bob was with Derek.
Both teams were armored up and weapons were ready as they headed out of the parking structure and back onto the road.
CamNet would assist them with traffic management and vector them to the target vehicle.
Samantha was able to return back to Riley's room without being noticed she was even gone.
She listened at the bedroom door. Riley was still pleasuring herself.
It worried her some about what was happening in the bedroom. It seemed excessive, even for Riley.
Samantha made a noise like Precious' crying for a few seconds. She heard Riley stop what she was doing. She quickly moved back into Precious' room. Riley arrived about twenty seconds later wearing her bathrobe.
Riley looked worried.
Samantha was bent over Precious' crib when Riley came up alongside her.
"Everything is fine." Samantha said.
There were a million thoughts flowing through Riley's mind right now. She was aware she was inattentive and neglectful the last few hours. She'd lost control and been with another female. It was something which ate at her for years to do again. Now it happened. She'd literally been unable to control herself.
She didn't know she was with Sarah in the darkened room and neither did Sarah.
"I'm really sorry." Riley said. "I really don't know what's wrong with me."
As soon as she said it, Samantha started to scan her. She wanted to see if Riley was pregnant.
Samantha was under the impression Riley was with John earlier. There was a lot of misunderstanding as to who was with whom by everyone else.
She was relieved to see Riley wasn't pregnant, at least not yet. It could change in the next few days.
"Do you want to hold Precious?" Samantha asked.
Riley started to reach out but looked at her right hand.
"I need to wash my hands first." Riley said.
Samantha figured Riley would need another shower.
John hurried back to his room. Maybe Jesse was waiting there for him now. He hoped so, even if he hoped not. He would have hated to have kept her waiting. What if she'd left before he got there? He might miss out on the opportunity.
He entered his room quietly and moved silently towards the bedroom. He peered around the corner. There was someone in his bed!
It was good enough for him. He quickly stripped off his clothes and headed for the bedroom. He was going to go for it, whoever it was. As he approached the bed in the dark room he saw the sheet flung open. It was all he needed to see. He headed straight for the figure.
A new fear gripped him.
'What if it's Riley?' John thought.
He hesitated for a second.
He saw a hand pat the empty spot in the open sheet.
It was what he wanted to see. He didn't care who it was. He climbed into the bed with the waiting open arms.
Earlier:
Samantha looked in on Jesse and Claire. She waited until they'd both finished. She left the stroller in the hall and went inside. She whispered in Jesse's ear. She excused herself.
Jesse watched Samantha leave.
"I think John is ready for me now." Jesse said.
Claire was ready to go back if Jesse hesitated.
"You'll love it." Claire said. "It was my best time ever."
Jesse was a little worried. She'd heard Claire mention it before. She wanted to find out if it was really her best time ever, or her best time with a male.
"Was it better than with me?" Jesse asked as she looked around for her clothes.
Claire didn't want to offend Jesse. She thought she should differentiate between the sexes. One thing she did know was she planned to go back.
"I meant with a male." Claire said. "I want to be with him more often."
Jesse already felt the same way. She never mentioned it to Claire. She'd already done it, and come to the same conclusion.
"Maybe we all will." Jesse said.
Claire really wondered why Vanna and Allison never took advantage of Cameron's offers before. As soon as she delivered Allison's baby, she was ready to have her own. She would still offer to carry one from Young Allison if it kept her out of John's bed and her in it. She didn't want the competition from her daughter.
"It may be so." Claire said. "The girls were already given a chance."
Jesse threw on a top and shorts. They were the same ones Claire used earlier.
"Will you want to see me afterwards?" Jesse asked at the door.
Claire understood what Jesse meant.
"Yes." Claire said. "I'd like to be with you."
Jesse thought about suggesting a three way. She didn't want to give up any of 'her time'. She hurried down the hall and into John's room.
She opened the door and went inside. She thought maybe she should've knocked first. She didn't. Maybe she could spy on John with someone else. The room was empty. She stripped and climbed into bed.
Jesse was more than ready right now. Maybe it was time to give John the 'Jesse' he knew as opposed to the 'real Jesse'. She wanted to make sure he understood she could do whatever any other female could, only better.
She smiled to herself and waited. John was in for a real treat. There was no need to wait doing nothing. She made productive use of her time as she waited for John.
The Metal girls all made the rounds three times at this point. Everyone was off to a good start.
Sheila was back to where she'd started. Mary put the grab on 'Barbara'. Laura and 'Peggy' were both together.
There was one point where Cammy and Ally shared. Everyone stopped to watch. It was just hot to see. What was even hotter was 'Barbara' and 'Peggy' responded differently. It made it even more exciting.
Leticia thought it would be wonderful to do the same thing. There was only one problem though. She was one of a kind.
"I wish I had a twin." Leticia whispered in 'Sue's' ear. "I'd love to be with myself the same way."
Sheila would love it too. She planned to ask Cameron again if they could Resequence a female Terminator with Leticia's DNA.
Cammy and Ally heard what Leticia said and attacked each other with increased ferocity. They thought it would be hot too.
The girls really were able to share some special moments together. They were something to cherish.
The attacker decided to drive back by the location of the deli. He figured it would be better to drive by from a different direction. He didn't want to go back onto the street where his other car had taken fire. He drove past the main street the deli was located on. He was two blocks over to the east. On the first cross street, he cut over to the street which went along one side of the deli. It was the one he'd come from the other direction on before.
He pulled up to the signal and waited for it to turn green. He checked to make sure there weren't any emergency vehicles of any type, especially the police. He looked at the assault rifle next to him on the seat. He would do what he needed to do to stay out of police custody.
The light turned green. He looked both ways and went across the intersection. He passed along the side of the deli. He looked to his left as he approached the alley. He didn't see anything in it. The man wasn't there and the van was gone. He didn't know if the man got back in the van and drove away or if there were others in the van and they helped him back to the van. Either way, he knew he'd hit the man with a solid blow with his right front fender.
He continued down the street until he reached the next intersection. It was another small street. He made a left hand turn and went westbound on it until he reached the next cross street. He turned left on it and went back in the direction he'd come from in his damaged vehicle earlier. He reached the alley and looked down it. He didn't slow down. He remained at the same speed. He didn't see anything around. He didn't take any fire on his car. He reached the main street and paused. There was only a stop sign at the intersection he currently waited at.
He decided to turn right. He looked on both sides of him as he went down the main street. He didn't spot anything out of the ordinary. He thought maybe he'd pushed his luck about as far as it could go today. He headed back to the building he was based out of.
There was a procedure to follow to approach his building. If the protocol wasn't adhered to, the vehicle would be attacked when it attempted to pass along the side of the building to get to the rear.
He drove past the building he wanted to go to without slowing. He drove around the block and did the same thing again. He started the procedure to drive around the block. He went the other way instead at the first street. He made a left there and a left at the next street and a left at the street which would go in front of his building. He approached the building again and drove past it. He continued down the street and made a U-turn, turn at the intersection. He drove back to his building, passed the front of it and turned in the driveway. He thought it was a convoluted way to arrive. So far it prevented any intruders. It also gave them a chance to look around the neighborhood for suspicious vehicles.
The exact procedure was changed at least once a day so it was never the same from one day to the next. The pattern did repeat, but in a random order.
He drove around to the back of the building parked next to another car. He got out of the car. He looked at the empty spot next to his vehicle. It would remain empty for now. He was in the vehicle which normally parked there. The rest of his team didn't make it. He went to the entry door at the back of the building and entered the code into the lock. He opened the door and went inside.
The attacker would be the bearer of bad news.
CamNet's Terminator wondered how much longer CamNet was going to be a spectator. He wanted to take action and bring the attacker down. He continued to watch the drone images of everything the attacker did.
He was a little worried when the attacker turned right on the main street. If he would have gone down a few more blocks, he might have spotted the van where it was parked. They knew he possessed the RPG. It was doubtful he would investigate why it was there. He just might use the RPG on it.
Instead the attacker returned to his base of operations. He watched the procedure the attacker used to drive around the building before he entered the rear of it. It was unknown if the same procedure was used every time or if it was different with each mission the group went on.
CamNet's Terminator moved to within a few blocks of the location. The drone over the building, as well as the drone over him, kept him updated to what was happening around him.
Lena and Tina continued to watch the drone footage and stayed one mile ahead of the Gray. So far they hadn't come across a building, or hillside location, which looked promising.
"We could be driving for hours." Lena said.
Tina wondered if they could speed up the process to find the location.
"Maybe we should just beat the information out of the Gray." Tina said. "We can stop and wait for him."
Lena didn't want to jump the gun. They'd already invested a lot of time in the operation.
"We need to let it play out some more." Lena said.
Tina checked the drone image over the female Fanatic.
"The bikers are rapidly closing." Tina said. "I wonder where they're going."
Lena looked at some satellite photos on her phone.
"I don't think we'll be able to make a determination." Lena said.
Tina figured it might not be anywhere.
"Maybe they just look for targets of opportunity." Tina said.
Lena felt the Gray was covered with the drone over him. They would see where he went.
"Maybe we should give them one." Lena said.
Tina tilted her head slightly.
"What should we give them one of?" Tina asked.
Lena smiled.
"We can give them a target of opportunity, us." Lena said.
Lena and Tina contacted CamNet about their proposal.
The female Fanatic understood Jill's desire to 'escape'. She was pretty sure the only way out was Ascension. It was why she did what she did. There was some place to get away from it all.
She kept a constant watch in her rear view mirror. She soon spotted little dots on the shimmering road behind her.
"Damn." The female Fanatic said.
Jill could see Jackie stiffen some.
"What is it?" Jill asked.
The female Fanatic knew it was trouble.
"It's the bikers." The female Fanatic said.
Jill quickly turned around and looked. She could barely make out the little dots on the shimmering pavement behind them.
"We can't let them get us." Jill said. "I know what they're going to do to us. It was in my dream."
The female Fanatic knew a dream was just a dream. It was also usually based around some type of reality. Some of them were very real at times.
"What happened in your dream?" The female Fanatic asked.
Jill cringed at the thought of her nightmare. It was still fresh in her mind. She really hoped it wasn't foreshadowing. She told Jackie her dream down to the last detail.
The female Fanatic was a little appalled at the dream.
"I can say you certainly had a very disturbing dream." The female Fanatic said. "It is also highly likely something like it could happen to us."
Jill thought about the way they looked. The bikers would see two females alone in a vehicle. There was no one around them. Only three vehicles had passed them going the other direction. There could have been another one or two while she was asleep. It didn't really matter. The traffic was very sparse. She looked back at the weapons on the floor behind her.
"Do you want me to get everything ready?" Jill asked.
The female Fanatic glanced over and saw what Jill referred to.
"Everything is already ready." The female Fanatic said. "Let's switch places."
Jill was ready to take over the wheel. She knew Jackie was much more proficient with firearms than she was.
The female Fanatic set the cruise control.
"I'm going directly into the back." The female Fanatic said. "Don't speed up and go closer to the Gray."
Jill reached over and took the wheel as Jackie went over into the back seat. She slid over and moved behind the wheel. She made sure she was buckled in. She didn't know if there would be any type of evasive maneuvering required.
"Do you want me to slow down a little bit?" Jill asked. "I don't know how far away we need to be from the man we're following not to hear the gunfire."
The female Fanatic looked over the weapons in the back. There were two assault rifles, the LAW rocket, a few grenades and a satchel charge.
She thought about the best way to use the explosives.
"There's probably going to be a few explosions as well." The female Fanatic said. "Just stay where you are for right now."
The female Fanatic was a little worried how the events might play out.

The arcing and flashing started.
The energy bubble appeared
The arcing and flashing ended.
Cameron stood and looked around. The area where they'd arrived was very dimly lit. She wasn't alone.
"How do you feel?" Cameron asked.
Young Allison stood and looked around.
"I'm fine." Young Allison said. "It was easier than I thought it would be."
Cameron took in a moment to look at Young Allison. She could see they looked identical. Well, at least for all practical purposes.
"It's a much smoother ride with all of River's improvements." Cameron said. "It's much easier on humans."
Young Allison wondered if it would have been a better choice to go into River's future than into the past. Cameron wanted to keep her out of any of the futures. She didn't think the trip was necessary any longer.
"Do you know where we're at?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron remained where she was at. She kept Young Allison next to her.
"I'm not sure it's where we want to be." Cameron said. "Let's wait here for a little while longer to see what happens."
Young Allison was a little alarmed. She was aware of what happened to Cameron, Allison, Vanna and Jesse when they were bounced around through time. Two duplicate sets of each of them were created.
"Do you think there was a malfunction?" Young Allison asked. "I hope there wasn't a temporal error."
Cameron wanted to look around. She wasn't sure exactly where they were at. It wasn't what she'd expected to see.
"Wait here." Cameron said. "If an energy bubble comes without anyone in it, get into it."
Young Allison didn't want to be separated.
"I'm not going to do it." Young Allison said. "We're going to stay together."
Cameron looked at her for a moment. She knew it wouldn't do any good to argue. She also knew Young Allison possessed the ability to 'order' her to do, or not do, something. It was a safeguard she'd put in place to keep her in check. Both Savannah and Young Allison possessed the ability.
"Let's wait here a little longer then." Cameron said.
Young Allison didn't have a problem with it.
"It will give me a little longer to take in your naked beauty." Young Allison said.
Cameron tilted her head slightly.
"It should be like looking in the mirror." Cameron said. "Your beauty is my beauty."
Young Allison laughed.
"It may be true, but I can honestly say you wear it much better all of the time." Young Allison said.
Cameron wanted to check their surroundings. They were still both standing there naked.
"I expected there to be more things here." Cameron said.
Young Allison was aware Sheila and Cammy were in the past for eight years. They were supposed to have constructed several TDE machines. They were supposed to have everything ready for them.
"Were Cammy and Sheila supposed to meet us here?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron was aware at some point they'd interacted in the past. There'd been an incident, near Las Vegas, in the desert with a hydrogen bomb related to it.
"The original plan was for them not to interact with us." Cameron said. "Somewhere along the way the plan changed."
Young Allison wanted to find out more.
"Let's look around and see what's here." Young Allison said.
Cameron could see they were in a warehouse of some type.
"Stay behind me and watch your feet." Cameron said. "I'll let you know if I spot any hazards."
Young Allison looked down at her feet. She didn't think there could be a lot of danger where they were at. She looked at some of the crates. They were wooden. There were smaller cardboard ones too. She thought about it for a moment. Usually wooden crates were nailed together. It could be possible there might be an errant nail on the floor from when the crates were opened. She knew it wasn't a good idea to step on a rusty nail.
"Let's find out where we are." Young Allison said.
Cameron wasn't as worried about the 'where' as much as she was the 'when'. She looked at the shipping labels on some of the crates. It wasn't what she'd expected to see.
"We're in Texas." Cameron said.
Young Allison was surprised.
"We're supposed to be in California." Young Allison said. "I wanted to see the Beach Boys in concert."
Cameron expected the same thing as well. She was sure if they interacted with the Beach Boys, some of the songs they knew were probably actually written about them.
"I'm sure we can interact with them at some point." Cameron said.
Young Allison could see there were stacks of books. There were cardboard cartons with them also. They were probably shipped in the wooden crates.
"What kind of books are they?" Young Allison asked.
Cameron moved over and looked at some of the books. She opened them up and looked at the copyright date.
"These are textbooks." Cameron said. "I see copyright dates for 1962 and 1963. It's at least 1963."
Young Allison knew the original plan was for them to arrive in 1963 in the area the Resistance base would later be constructed. Cameron previously was in 1963 when the TDE in the bank vault was constructed. She was part of the operation. Cameron told her she wanted to view herself, but not interact with her.
"I guess it puts us a year away from the Beatles." Young Allison said.
Cameron new Young Allison wanted to go to some of the concerts of the popular music groups of the time period.
"Let's find out exactly when it is." Cameron said.
Cameron continued to look around the crates. The area was very dimly lit.
"I need to find us some clothing." Cameron said.
Young Allison knew there would be a lot of hardships with any type of time travel.
"I guess anything would work." Young Allison said. "I know I don't want to run into any men without any clothing on."
Cameron stopped and looked around.
"I will terminate them if any of them look." Cameron said. "I see a doorway up ahead."
Cameron and Young Allison headed for the doorway of the warehouse. They were both still naked.
Something To Cherish
The passage of time
Allows everything to tarnish
It takes some effort and work|
To shine and polish
Things aren't always perfect
They may show a blemish
The value may diminish
It doesn't mean it's rubbish
When there's conflict or struggle
Some things may wither and perish
It's a time for assistance
To help and nourish
Everything will shine for a while
With a fresh coat of varnish
Everyone wants to be viewed
As more than just garnish
To finish in first place
Is a victory to relish
To have the best isn't selfish
It's something to cherish
Nobody
