A weird little boy with a massive head was staying up late, listening for aliens or something. Do I really need to describe what this kid's doing? I mean he's obviously full of himself, just look at the size of his head!

Anyways, he was looking for aliens or something, I don't know what weird kids do these days.

He turned his knob, searching for a signal, like he did every night.

*Static sounds*

He turned it ever so slightly to the right.

*Static sounds*- "Thank-" *Static sounds*- "everyone-" *Static sounds*

Wait, Dib thought. Did I just hear that? He quickly turned the knob just a tad bit more.

"My tallest, an opportunity to truly prove I can be an invader, is all I ask!"

Oh my gosh! Dib thought, taking off his headphones. He looked up at the sky, because he was also on his roof for some reason.

"They're coming," he said, jumping onto a pole, and sliding into the kitchen where his dad was. He immediately landed in the sink.

"I heard them!" he yelled and ran to his dad.

Like always, he dressed in his lab coat and glasses, obscuring his face, but Dib was used to that. He was hunched over some metallic device.

"Dad! They're coming! I heard them!" Dib shouted at him, pulling on his sleeve. "I actually heard them! I was up on the roof and I heard this transmission coming through-" His dad put up a finger.

"Jtjtjtjt- Not now son," his dad said, "I'm making..." He paused dramatically for a second as sciency flashes went off. Grabbing a pair of tongs, he reached into the device and pulled out... "Toast!" He finally said.

He stared at his dad, disappointed but not surprised, and ran out of the kitchen and into his little sister, who was completely normal and played video games.

"Gaz!" he shouted. "They're coming! They really are."

"Who's coming," she deadpanned.

"I don't know," Dib said slowly as he turned around trying to be dramatic for some reason.

"Focus GIR! This is where your advanced information gathering skills come in handy!" Zim announced as the Voot Cruiser began to approach Earth.

GIR's eyes turned red in lucidity. "Yes my master!" His eyes then changed back to their normal blue as he ran to the window. "Groit!"

Zim's spaceship began to ascend through the clouds.

"You have to observe what these... Earthenoids consider to be... normal," Zim told GIR. "Then, based on your observations, we make our disguises... and our home."

The Voot Cruiser descended further, and Zim could see the surface of Earth. It was a lot of vibrant than anything he had ever seen. Much more colorful. Disgusting, but the pink lawn flamingos were charming, a very Irken color.

Although... this is where people lived, right? If he wanted to blend in, he would have to set up where the other Earthenoids lived.

"HERE! WE BUILD HERE!" Zim shouted, pointing at an empty lot. His ship stopped suddenly and began to descend onto it, creating a massive cloud of dust.

The pod doors opened, and a shadowy figure walked through the dust. Zim.

GIR followed after him, jumping out of the ship. However, he immediately smacked his head on the doorframe and fell.

Right into the back of Zim's head, who fell.

Right into the grass.

"Oof," Zim grunted, making contact with the grass, GIR still on the back of his head. The grass was soft, but something was har-

Ow!

Something sharp poked Zim right in the neck. He shrugged GIR off his head and felt around his neck for whatever disgusting, slimy creatures called Earth home and would DARE attack Zim.

Feeling around, he found a small bump that was decreasing in size as he felt it.

"What in the-" he started, but couldn't finish before he suddenly felt nauseous and exhausted.

He staggered a moment but slumped onto the ground.

"Computer, set up base," he managed before he passed out. His computer would know what to do.

"These less superior than us but still quite superior soldiers will each be assigned to an enemy planet!"

One of Professor Membrane's many inventions was an artificially intelligent software on his personal computer. It tracked Irken transmissions, and notified him when activity increased.

"All while gathering crucial information, assessing the planet's weaknesses, making it vul-ner-able to our big... space ship... gang!"

Soon after Dib came into the kitchen to tell him about the transmission, Membrane checked his computer and found a notification about a recent transmission.

"You've been assigned to the planet Blorch, home of the slaughtering rat people!"

The transmission's time aligned perfectly with when Dib tried to talk to him. He couldn't respond at the moment because he was focused on making snacks for him and Gaz. But it did still hurt a bit when he just walked away to his sister.

While he was listening he was also trying to figure out how paddleball worked. He still didn't understand what the ball was supposed to do.

"That voice!"

"No"

"It can't be!"

"ZIM"

Well, that was certainly a bit odd. He continued fiddling with the paddleball while vaguely listening for further information.

"My Tallest, an opportunity to prove I truly can be an Invader is all that I ask! Gimme!"

Okay, that was a new voice. He really had to listen now.

"We see now that you are truly deserving."

"Yes. Yes, I am."

"You will be sent to a planet so mysterious, no one has even heard of it!"

Okay, that could be literally any planet. And ha! He got it bouncing against the paddle! Perhaps that was how people used to have fun? A bit odd, but he wouldn't question it.

"Right! And those who have heard of it... dare not speak its name!"

"What's its name?"

"Oh, I dare not speak it!"

"Where is it?"

"Um... Uh... Uh... Um... Right there!"

"Ooh! Oooooooooh! A secret mission!"

"Happy now?"

"Yes."

"Invaders, Report to the equipment hall! Oh, and remember, Lasers!"

Membrane continued bouncing the paddleball in thought. He couldn't be certain whether they were sending someone to his planet, but that was a risk he couldn't take.

And Zim. He couldn't remember everything he knew about Zim at that moment, but it was stored on his computer. He had information on all the invaders, and he had intercepted many transmissions in the past, especially during Operation Impending Doom.

What he did remember, however, was that he was part of a previous invasion, perhaps that very same one. But he had made crucial mistakes somehow which forced him into banishment. So unless things changed since then, which was unlikely based off the Tallests' rhetoric, this was probably their form of a more extreme banishment to make certain he couldn't return.

In any case, he had to be ready. He switched to the command prompt and typed 'ping -n 5 -l 2370194 protocol.27.exe'.
