Chapter 1475

Served Well Done

There were two men in the van. They tried to catch up to the car which tailed the SUV with the girls in it.

"Stay with him." The first man said.

The second man glanced over. He looked irritated.

"I'm trying." The second man said.

There was a loud metallic thud on the side of the van. The engine died.

"What was that?" The first man asked.

The van only coasted at this point.

The second man tried to restart it. Nothing happened.

"I don't know what happened." The second man said.

The first man held his phone in his hand.

"What is it around here?" The first man asked. "Even our phones don't work."

The driver braked the van to a stop and attempted to start it in 'Park'. Nothing happened.

An SUV suddenly pulled up on each side of them from opposite directions. A man got out of the passenger side on both of them.

Before the men in the van could react, both of their doors were pulled open and they were pulled out.

Bob and Jim both looked in the back of the van. It was empty.

There was some movement from around the side of the building.

Hanna and Cam pushed two men in front of them as they came around the corner.

The four men were bound, gagged and blindfolded with their shirts.

Derek was in the SUV next to the van. He was behind the wheel of one of them. Kyle was behind the wheel of the one on the other side of the van.

"What are we going to do with this scum?" Derek asked.

Cam walked towards the back of the van. She figured it was 'cut and dried'.

"If I find restraints in the back of the van, they're all going to die." Cam said.

Cam opened the rear door and looked inside. She called Bob over.

"This isn't a Resistance operation." Cam said. "It didn't start out as one either. I need for you and your team to withdraw."

Bob looked in the back of the van.

"I understand." Bob said.

Bob called Derek and Kyle off to the side.

"This was never a Resistance operation." Bob said. "I need you two to go back with Jim and me."

Kyle thought their dismissal seemed a little abrupt.

"What is it?" Kyle asked.

Bob was aware of Cameron's policy. It was the reason why she'd constructed CamNet and conducted her 'off the books' operations outside of the scope of the Resistance. She didn't want the Resistance tainted with her actions. If anybody wanted to point a finger, it would be at her. Not at the Resistance or John.

"Cam has reminded me CamNet's operations are separate from Resistance matters in dealings of this type." Bob said. "Cam will take care of this herself. She thanks you for your assistance. There was no harm to Vanna or Allison. We achieved out goal."

Derek didn't seem too happy.

"So just like that we get booted?" Derek asked.

Bob wanted to keep peace in the family. There are other matters they needed to attend to. They didn't need to get sidetracked.

"We can deal with the machine shop and welding shop." Bob said. "Those are Resistance matters."

Kyle wondered if all of the humans were about to be sent away. Derek and him weren't the only ones there.

"What about Allison and Vanna?" Kyle asked.

Bob was aware of Cam's decision.

"Holly and Gail will escort them back to the base." Bob said. "Their participation is no longer necessary."

Jim didn't want any hard feelings. He wanted the Reese brothers to remain in a positive mood.

"We can follow them back." Jim said.

Bob didn't think it was necessary.

"Gail and Holly will be with them." Bob said.

Jim and Bob led Derek and Kyle back to their SUVs. They got in and drove to where Gail and Holly were at along with Vanna and Allison.

Vanna was behind the steering wheel of the SUV. Allison was next to her. Holly was outside the vehicle with Gail.

"What did we miss?" Allison asked.

Jim looked back in the direction of where the van and the men were at.

"You probably missed a blood bath." Jim said.

Vanna got a disgusted look on her face.

"I take it they were dirty." Vanna said.

Bob didn't want to get into the details.

"Yes." Bob said. "It's not a Resistance matter."

Allison remembered something Savannah told her before.

"Savannah warned me if we went looking for trouble, we would find it." Allison said.

Derek knew it was true in any timeline.

"It's always the case." Derek said.

Allison and Vanna thanked the men for backing them up.

Bob and Derek left. They were followed by Jim and Kyle.

Vanna looked over at where the van was at around the corner. She didn't like the way things were about to play out.

"We're not really going to leave Cam and Hanna here alone are we?" Vanna asked.

Gail and Holly both understood the implication.

"I can stay." Holly and Gail both said.

Allison touched her weapons.

"So can we." Allison said.

Vanna didn't want Allison around any more trouble. She wasn't the only one.

"No." Vanna and Holly both said.

Holly didn't want the situation to escalate. Allison became very unmanageable when she was angry, upset or irritated. It currently appeared as if she was all three of them. If they were at the house in Palmdale, or some other private setting, she could use sex to redirect and calm Allison. This wasn't the place to employ such a technique.

"I can take Allison and Vanna back." Holly said.

Gail was supposed to go with them.

John Henry contacted them. He recalled Gail, Holly, Allison and Vanna.

"It's official." Holly said. "We're going back."

Allison wanted some answers.

"What's going to happen to the men?" Allison asked.

Gail looked at Allison with all seriousness.

"I would have to think they will be terminated, if they aren't already." Gail said. "I can terminate them myself if you want before we leave to insure their termination. Crimes against females are serious infractions."

In the distance there was a fireball followed by the sound of an explosion a few seconds later. The explosion was a few miles away from their current location.

"What was that?" Allison asked.

Gail was pleased the explosion occurred exactly within the time frame it was supposed to. Their plan was enacted and carried off successfully.

"It was a reckoning." Gail said. "Two men are burning to death right now in the rubble of a building. There were crimes against others for which they currently atone. At least it will be for a few seconds before they terminate."

Vanna and Allison wondered if it was a sick joke on Gail's part. It didn't seem like it. She wasn't a real 'kidder'. She always told it like it was.

Holly could see it was for real.

"Did they abuse a female?" Holly asked.

Gail touched the mattress with the ropes and chains on the ends of it when she was there.

"The DNA samples we found indicated it was more than a few." Gail said.

Vanna felt the anger of the past raise its ugly head.

"It sounds like justice was served." Vanna said.

Allison looked at the cloud of black smoke. She thought about Gail's description.

"I'd say it was served 'well done'." Allison said.

Gail moved her SUV to where Hanna and Cam were and ran back. Holly and her got in the rear seat. Vanna started to drive in the direction they'd entered from.

"Go the other way." Gail said.

Vanna looked at Allison and headed the other direction.

Sheila, Cammy and Ally wondered about what they were going to do for dinner if the girls wanted to go out. They discussed it quietly amongst themselves at a low decibel level.

"We can tell them we're on a diet." Cammy said.

Ally wanted to make a joke about it.

"We can say it's a 'see food' diet." Ally said.

Cammy tilted her head slightly

"Why would we say that?" Cammy asked. "Aquatic creatures are a food staple in many countries."

Ally knew it was a play on the words. They sounded the same, but the spelling was different. She pointed at her eyes.

"We 'see' food, but don't eat it." Ally said.

Sheila smiled, but Cammy didn't.

"It was funny, love." Sheila said.

Ally wanted to think of a better solution going forward.

"Maybe next time we should arrive after dinner." Ally said.

Sheila took it one step further.

"As long as we arrive in time for dessert, I'm good." Sheila said.

Jesse felt full of love. There was a feeling inside of her which made her glow. She'd been with plenty of men before. This was different. This was one she'd needed to wait for years to 'get'. It was worth it.

She didn't forget John belonged to Cameron. To be with John was something Cameron promised her for years. Now it happened. Young Jesse was pregnant with his baby and it was going to be for her. It was going to be her baby. She was ready for the next step in life.

Right now she wanted to show her love and appreciation to John for making it all happen for her. She wanted to prove to herself she still 'had it' when it came to sex with a man. She did. Now it was time for some love making, and for her real inner self to reach out. The young girl who was pulled screaming out of her hiding place so many years ago, was still alive inside of her.

She was very thankful to Cameron and John for helping her find the young girl again and bring her back to life. She should make a good mother. Her time with Precious ignited her maternal instincts. She could thank Cameron for her assistance as well with making it happen.

John felt Jesse 'change' on him from a wild woman, to a loving woman. It really was something beautiful. He was pretty sure Young Jesse and Jesse both cared as much about him as he did them.

He lost all track of time as he was lost in Jesse's loving. Right now nothing mattered other than where he was. The rest of the world didn't exist.

Jan wasn't sure what was what at this point. It seems like everything reached some type of conclusion.

"Is everything all done for now?" Jan asked.

John Henry glanced over. He didn't think so.

"It's most likely just getting started." John Henry said.

Jan knew some men were taken into custody.

"What about the four men?" Jan asked. "What happens to them?"

Summer glanced at John Henry. She knew what would happen. She looked back at Jan.

"Oh, I wouldn't worry about them." Summer said.

Summer figured Cam and Hanna would conduct several 'interviews' to determine their next targets.

Jan watched the drone images of Bob's team and Jim's team.

"Where are they going?" Jan asked.

John Henry looked at a surveillance image.

"They're still doing recon." John Henry said. "A box truck just arrived at the location where the machine shop is."

Jan looked at the image as well.

"What's in it?" Jan asked.

John Henry hoped they'd be able to do it without their team's need to physically check. More than likely at some point, they would need to do so anyway.

"It's what we need to ascertain if possible." John Henry said. "There are a couple of surveillance cameras set up."

Summer wanted to remind her it was a drawn out process.

"They may need to wait until night and make entry into the building." Summer said.

It sounded boring to Jan.

"Nighttime is a few hours from now." Jan said.

John Henry knew they needed to let things play out in some cases so they could get all of the answers. If they acted too soon, it might leave more unanswered questions. There was something very specific they needed to find out.

"Sometimes a recon turns into surveillance." John Henry said. "If they receive any Coltan, we need to find the source."

Summer was more concerned with the two vehicles which arrived with the box truck. The implications were obvious.

"It looks like the truck traveled with an escort." Summer said. "It seems unnecessary, or there is a high value object in the box truck."

Jan wanted to know what was inside of the truck. It must be important.

"I wonder what it is." Jan said.

As they watched the drone image, they watched four men hurry out of the building and get into the two cars.

A red flag went off in Summer's mind. She was aware of the earlier concerns with Bob's team. They'd already looked for a surveillance device once.

"Something is up." Summer said. "Have the two teams check for a tracker. I know they already did one check."

John Henry wondered what for. They'd already dumped the SUV they'd used earlier.

"Check where?" John Henry asked. "Both of the teams are in a different vehicle."

Summer thought the answer was obvious. There was one only choice left.

"They need to check in, or on, their clothing." Summer said. "One or more of them is tagged."

John Henry could take pre-emptive action.

"I can jam everything." John Henry said.

Summer believed they were one step ahead of the enemy now, if there was a tracker. They also needed to think about who the enemy was.

"This is Skynet related." Summer said. "They'll know we're on to them."

Jan was a little confused.

"I think I missed something." Jan said.

Summer was afraid they all did, at first.

"It's why the team wasn't tracked with a car or small drone earlier. They were tagged. They were able to track where they were going. They wanted to find out where their base of operations was." Summer said. "It's only because they're headed back there now the Grays are going to take action. They wanted to see where our team went. Now they have a high value item to protect."

John Henry sent out the warning. It looked like things may go hot after all. He wondered how Summer put it together so quickly. It wasn't the conclusion he would have come to on his own. He doubted John would have either. He glanced over at Summer. She winked at him. He quickly returned his attention back to his monitors.

Sarah heard the knock at the door. Claire and her paused their conversation. They both looked at the door. They were both naked in the bed side by side. She watched Claire slip on a bathrobe from the ship, and go to the door. She opened it part way and looked out.

"Jesse already left." Claire said.

Sarah listened to see who it was.

"I was just checking." Samantha said. "I needed to run a few errands. I have a little time to spend."

Sarah figured it was Samantha. It sounded like Claire was talking to herself.

After what Claire said about being with a Metal girl, she hoped Claire would invite Samantha in. It didn't look like it was going to happen.

"Thanks, but I'm busy." Claire said.

Samantha looked a little disappointed.

"Have a good day." Samantha said.

Claire went to close the door.

Sarah thought about the earlier discussion. She was filled with a sudden sense of excitement. She was ready for a new adventure. She was ready for a grand adventure.

"Wait." Sarah said. "Can she stay for a little bit?"

Claire quickly opened the door.

"Samantha, if you want to stay for a while we'd like it." Claire said.

Claire stepped back and Samantha came into the room.

"What did you have in mind?" Samantha asked.

Sarah was on the bed with the sheet on her.

Claire glanced over at Sarah.

"Sarah's never been with a Metal girl before." Claire said.

Samantha smiled. It was clear Sarah and Claire had been together. It looked like she might get an opportunity as well.

Sarah wondered if things were moving too fast, or not fast enough. She threw the sheet off and stood. She was naked. She wanted more. She wanted it now.

"I'd like to be with you if you'll have me." Sarah said.

Samantha looked at Claire and then at Sarah. It seemed too good to be true.

"I'd like it too." Samantha said. "You're very beautiful."

Sarah blushed a little. She didn't hear it much anymore. She heard it from all of the girls so far. It pleased her immensely. It reaffirmed her decision to move her life forward.

"Thank you." Sarah said. "I think you're beautiful too."

Samantha looked at Claire.

"I'm identical to Claire." Samantha said.

Sarah looked from one to the other.

"I think she's beautiful too." Sarah said.

Claire thought maybe she should leave Samantha and Sarah alone on their first time together.

Samantha and Sarah both looked at each other.

Sarah moved closer. Samantha kissed her.

"Wow!" Sarah said.

Claire knew it got better the lower the kisses went.

"Wait till she does it elsewhere." Claire said.

Sarah and Claire undressed Samantha. Somewhere along the way Claire lost the bathrobe.

Sarah now looked at Claire and Samantha standing side by side. Both of them were naked. They looked like twins.

Claire looked at Samantha.

"Shall we?" Claire asked.

Samantha knew the drill. It was something they all did with a human girl and her Metal counterpart.

"I don't mind if you want to compare us, everywhere." Samantha said.

Sarah wanted to do it. She'd felt embarrassed to ask. Now she didn't need to. It was offered instead. She really wanted to see if everything was identical. As far as Jesse and Young Jesse went, it was. Then again, they were the same person.

Samantha and Claire both lay on the bed side by side. Sarah gave each of them a kiss and compared everything.

"Everything is identical." Sarah said. "Even down to the smallest detail, everything is the same."

Claire gave Sarah a kiss.

"I'll leave you two alone for a bit first." Claire said. "This will be a special moment for you."

Sarah was extremely excited. She couldn't wait for things to get started for real.

"It already is so far." Sarah said.

Claire picked up her bathrobe and left.

It left Sarah and Samantha looking at each other. They were both naked.

Samantha kissed Sarah again and laid her back on the bed. She wanted to get things started off. She knew she could make everything very intense.

"Let me show you some love first." Samantha said.

Before Sarah could respond, Samantha kissed her again very tenderly and started down her neck and between the valley of her breasts. She made a detour to each one for a short time before she continued her journey down.

Sarah was filled with excitement and apprehension. There was a killing machine about to make love to her. Just the way Samantha touched her excited her immensely. She wanted to resist a little, but she couldn't. She wanted more instead.

Samantha was down to her navel now and made a circle around it past her cesarean scar. It was mostly faded with time.

Sarah drew in her breath with anticipation. She expected things to take off right away. Samantha took her time and worked around everything a little first, which only excited her more.

All of a sudden it got good, real good, real fast. Somehow it kept getting better and better.

Sarah made it in just seconds. Things kept going and got more intense. It was Heaven on earth. She wanted more. She wanted to say something but words were pretty hard to formulate right now.

One thing was for sure. It was going to be her best time ever.

Young Jesse piloted the Mitchell. She was familiar with every operation Savannah went on. She was also aware of the other Resistance operations. She wanted to fly past some of the places where the team saw action at previously. She communicated her desire to Camille.

Camille didn't see a problem with it. They were in the area and it was a clear day. She contacted CamNet and they were cleared through any restricted airspace. They would overfly Avila Beach and then the northwest end of the Serrano Point Nuclear Power Plant.

Anna got up every few minutes and did a three hundred and sixty degree look around them, and above them, from the top turret. The airspace was clear but she wanted to make sure. She would've normally stayed in the top turret position. She didn't want to leave Young Allison 'alone'. With Young Jesse and Camille there, it made things slightly awkward.

Young Jesse could see Avila Beach. Off to the port side, and in the distance, was the Serrano Point Nuclear Power Plant. She planned to continue on the same heading inland and they would end up right over Tehachapi.

She looked forward to seeing some of the places Cameron and Savannah conducted operations in before. She'd studied the reports and knew what happened. Savannah acted very heroically to protect all of the Terminators at the location near the Serrano Point Nuclear Power Plant. Based on the body cam footage, Terminator visual files, drone footage and CGI imagery, she'd received a good account of what happened there. There was some intense action which followed as well.

Young Jesse wondered how she would do in a similar situation. She hoped she could do half as much as Savannah had done. She didn't know if she would be able to do everything she did. It set an example. It also set the bar high. She really wanted to get some combat in under her belt. She understood the risks. The results could be catastrophic or deadly. It was the nature of the business they were in.

As for the action in Tehachapi, it seemed the official reports lacked a lot of detail as to what all occurred there. The 'problems' Cameron experienced at the time were not included. John refused to have them as part of the official record. It was because of Savannah's urging.

Young Jesse still wanted to see the locations. The B-25 would give them an excellent view.

She was aware of the Warbird friendly airstrip at Madera. She planned to make some touch and go landings and a real landing and takeoff to boot.

From the nose of the plane, Cameron could see where they were headed. It bothered her some. There were a lot of things which happened at Avila Beach and the northwest quadrant of the Serrano Point Nuclear Power Plant.

Savannah held Cameron's hand and rested her head against her shoulder. She could see they were headed inland. She was surprised to feel Cameron's hand glitch for a second.

Right away she knew something was different. She looked closer at where they were headed. She felt her mouth suddenly feel dry. She swallowed hard.

Cameron was upset she'd glitched. Now as she held Savannah's hand, she could feel her mood change in a physical sense. She knew why. It was because of the female Gray Savannah needed to terminate. She felt she needed to say something. She could only think of the reality.

"It was you or her." Cameron said. "She tried to strangle you first."

Savannah could see 'those eyes' again as the life was choked out of the female Gray. She strangled her with her hands. Cameron's hands were over hers, but she was the one who'd choked the female Gray to death.

She also remembered it was where John and her almost made love. They were naked in bed. He was over her about to make entry. It all stopped when a hole was punched through the wall of the room they were in. The act was caused by Cammy to alert them to an impending assault. She still wished John would have at least let her feel what it felt like. Then again, if it was all that happened, it wouldn't have been a pleasant experience without some further stimulation.

After Claire was out in the hall, she wondered if maybe she should've put on her clothes instead of only wearing the bathrobe.

She contemplated about going to John's room again. Maybe Jesse was finished. Maybe she wasn't. They could give John a real treat. Then again, she could just go back into her room in a little while to be with Sarah and Samantha. It would be a sweet 'three way'.

Did she want a three way with John and Jesse or with Sarah and Samantha? Maybe she could do both.

She didn't want to pass by the rec room or the Command Center. So she went around the back way. She passed by the lab and turned the corner and went by the girl's rooms. They were all empty.

She paused at the corner to look up the next aisle. It looked like the coast was clear. She didn't want to run into Jan or Summer. Maybe it didn't really matter with Summer. She seemed to know everything anyway. She really wished she would have put some clothes on first. She could go back to Jesse's room. She kept some clothes in there since she spent so much time with Jesse.

Maybe she would just listen to see what was happening in John's room first. She started up towards it. She heard a door open. She wasn't sure where it was. She was away from the hall. It was too far to go back to the girls rooms right now.

She saw Jan in the distance. She bumped a door handle. She turned it and the door opened. She quickly went inside. The room was dark, but she knew it was the nursery.

The light came on.

Riley wasn't sure why Samantha was rude to her. Maybe Samantha knew she'd been with 'Claire' earlier. She still didn't know it was actually Sarah. She loved Samantha. She didn't want her to be angry at her.

She held Precious for a while and put her back in her crib. She thought about getting dressed but didn't feel like it. She wanted to talk to Samantha and get any problems worked out.

Riley paced around her room for quite awhile and couldn't take it any more. She was going to go find Samantha and apologize to her.

She quickly checked Precious and went to go out. She opened the door and spotted someone right near her room. She quickly closed the door. She'd better get dressed first. What would it look like if she was walking around the base wearing only a bathrobe?

Riley headed back towards her room when she heard the door to the nursery open. Maybe Samantha was back! She saw the nursery was dark so it must be Samantha.

She entered the room and flipped the light on.

The three men were joined by two others. They discussed what they wanted to do next. They wanted revenge for what happened to the rest of their group. It was decided they would carry out another strike.

"There's only five of us left." The attacker said. "Are we all going to go?"

The other men were all in agreement. They wanted retribution for what was done to their colleagues.

"We're all in it together." The first man said.

The men discussed if they wanted to wait until darkness or make their move now.

"Let's get our stuff together." The second man said.

The other men were ready.

"I think we should go now before they clear out." The third man said.

The attacker was a little concerned about what would happen.

"They're going to know we're on to them." The attacker said. "If the man with the van made it back, they'll know for sure."

The second man thought about it for a moment.

"I think the use of the RPG let them know for sure already." The second man said.

The fourth man was a little concerned about their operation.

"What about our building?" The fourth man asked. "If we all go out, there won't be anyone here. What if they show up, or another group shows up, while we're gone?"

The first man didn't think it was a problem.

"There's not a whole lot here for anyone to find." The first man said.

The attacker was a little concerned about all the activity recently. In the last few days there were aware of a number of attacks.

"We lost contact with our other cell." The attacker said. "We don't know what happened to them."

The third man thought about their mission.

"We're here to stop Skynet." The third man said. "It's our duty to serve SkyMaster."

The five men gathered all their gear. Each one of them strapped a bomb to themselves. They would try to use it against the enemy location first. If it didn't work, or if it looked like they were about to be captured, they would detonate it themselves.

The fourth man was still a little concerned.

"What if they've already cleared out?" The fourth man asked. "We might end up attacking an empty building."

The third man doubted it would be empty.

"I'm sure they left a few surprises behind if it's the case." The third man said.

The second man thought they should take a more clandestine approach.

"Maybe we should try an attack from the back." The second man said.

The attacker thought it was a bad idea.

"There's a mean dog located in the back on the west side." The attacker said. "We already lost one man back there. I attacked the rear of their building from back there as well. I think the back's used up."

He proceeded to lift his pants legs so they could all take a look at his ankles.

The other man we're all a little shocked.

"It looks like he got you good." The first man said.

The attacker didn't think there was anything good about it.

"It hurts like hell." The attacker said. "I took some shrapnel in my neck too."

The first and second man felt a little guilty about pointing weapons at him earlier when he returned. It was clear he'd suffered some personal trauma.

"Let's get some antibiotic cream and put it on those wounds." The first man said.

The attacker didn't really think it mattered.

"This is probably the home stretch." The attacker said.

The fourth man didn't think so.

"it's never over until it's over." The fourth man said. "Then it's Ascension."

The first and second man briefly treated the attacker's wounds.

"You might have some debris or shrapnel in your neck." The first man said.

The attacker took a heavy dose of pain medication.

"We'll deal with it when we get back." The attacker said. "It's just going to make it even more sore if we fool with it now."

The five men rigged a few booby traps around the building. They loaded the weapons they were going to use into the two vehicles. Two of them would ride in the car. The other three would ride in the SUV.

CamNet's Terminator needed to wait for something to develop. He was informed someone would switch out the SUV he currently drove and pick up the van loaded full of Skynet related information.

It wasn't long until another SUV arrived. He saw the van was behind it. It was two of Cameron's Terminators. They were on their way to assist with another operation. There was a Resistance operation which had just taken a different turn. They probably would need to stash the two vehicles and procure a couple of box trucks. The other two vehicles left.

The Terminator looked over the SUV and the weapons compliment. He was pleased to see there were several LAW rockets.

He watched the drone footage as five men exited the building and loaded weapons into the two vehicles parked there. It made him wonder what else was inside of the building. He didn't know what the target of the five men was going to be. It could be a different target from any they'd already visited, or it could be the building which no one was inside of any longer.

CamNet's Terminator was directed to probe the building when the two vehicles left.

Lena and Tina continued along their current path. They stayed one mile ahead of the Gray. The drone over them and the Gray searched for any additional threats. So far, it was more of the same. There was the same bleak landscape on both sides of them. There were a series of hills which came and went.

Tina checked her phone.

"It appears as if we're going to be at another junction soon." Tina said.

Lena glanced at her phone.

"It gives us three more choices." Lena said.

The drone over them widened its orbit. It would cover the Gray, the female Fanatic and them. The other two drones. Would go and scout the other crossroads. The drone from where the mine was at was also called off to assist. They would each take one branch from the junction ahead.

The drone image over the junction showed there was one gas station with a convenience store, a small restaurant and a shabby motel. There was also a small hardware and feed store located there. Evidently the area they were approaching contained various types of livestock.

Tina checked their drone image on its widest orbit behind them.

"The bikers have closed the distance by half on the female Fanatic." Tina said.

Lena wasn't sure what they were going to do.

"They posed an ongoing risk to our operation." Lena said. "I still think we should deal with them."

Tina didn't think it would be a problem.

"The drone will keep track of the Gray and the female Fanatic." Tina said. "It can still assist us as necessary. The other drones can return if we need them. It won't take them long."

CamNet directed her two female Terminators to stay on their current path. They were to remain in front of the Gray until they reached the crossroads. The three drones fanned out when they reached the new junction.

The female Fanatic was very pleased to hear Jill's reference to SkyMaster. She would remain in the back with the weapons for now. Their goal was in front of them, not behind them.

She felt herself start to get a little sleepy. She wasn't ready for another nightmare. She moved up and reached over into the front and rummaged through the bag of things they'd purchase. She looked at the packet of anti drowsy tablets. She opened it and took one of the two packets out of it.

Jill glanced over at her.

"Are you going to start on those now?" Jill asked.

The female Fanatic put the packet into one of her cargo pockets. She handed the other packet to Jill.

"No." The female Fanatic said. "Put this in one of your pockets."

She took out an energy drink. She offered it to Jill.

Jill smiled and reached for it.

The female Fanatic opened it and handed it to her.

"Thank you." Jill said.

The female Fanatic thought it was nice to hear somebody express thanks and mean it. It wasn't something she heard much of in the future. It especially wasn't something she heard in the service of SkyMaster. Everyone was expected to do their job. She didn't notice too many old people in the future. There were even fewer in the service of SkyMaster. It didn't seem many of them lived very long. With the reward of Ascension waiting for them, what was the point?

She reached down and picked up the map. She opened it up and looked at it.

Jill watched Jackie check out the map. She wondered what was next.

"Is there anything good coming up?" Jill asked.

The female Fanatic could see there was.

"We'll reach another junction in about an hour." The female Fanatic said.

Jill looked in her rear view mirror. She'd been distracted.

"The bikers are a lot closer." Jill said.

The female Fanatic instantly turned around. She could see there was a group of bikers approaching rapidly. It wasn't the main group. There were only six of them. They were most likely a scouting force.

"They're ahead of the main group." The female Fanatic said. "It looks like the other ones are still back where they were."

Jill was a little concerned. Her dream was still fresh in her mind. She thought she was most troubled by the line of men which formed in front of Jackie and her. It was clear they were all going to 'go', one after another.

Her hands were tight on the steering wheel. She needed to push the thoughts from her mind. She needed to maintain her speed so she didn't gain on the car in front of them.

"Do you think they'll do anything?" Jill asked.

The female Fanatic was ready if the small group of bikers tried anything. She moved one of the assault rifles up and had it ready. She kept it out of sight. There were extra magazines available for it. She reached up and gently touched Jill's shoulder to reassure her.

Temporal Mission:

Past Timeline:

Young Allison and Cameron realized the event they'd just been caught up in.

There was a blank look on Cameron's face. It was a Terminator look.

"I have to kill the president of the United States." Cameron said. "The man we just incapacitated is the one who delivered the head shot."

Cameron and Young Allison exchanged grim glances as they got into the Chevrolet.

"Do you know who it is?" Young Allison asked.

Cameron checked for facial recognition.

"No" Cameron said.

Young Allison thought it would be better if she drove.

"I think you should check over the weapon." Young Allison said. "I can drive. Do you know how to get there from here? I don't think it's very far at all."

Cameron pulled up some files of vintage satellite images. They were all taken after 1963. She didn't know how much changed around the area. She didn't think it was much. She gave Young Allison some instructions and opened the guitar case again. She took out the rifle and examined it. She worked the action and ejected all five cartridges. She inspected each one of them and loaded them back into the rifle.

What she didn't know is what the 'zero' was on the scope. If it was adjusted properly, she should be able to hit her target from the distance she would be at. It was a relatively close distance. It wasn't a long shot at all.

"I would really like to test fire this thing first." Cameron said. "I know the scope on the rifle used in the book depository was loose. The shooter didn't know they were being set up as a patsy. I thought the man we took down was a low-level hood. I'm sure he was connected to the Syndicate. The Syndicate wanted the president dead."

Young Allison remembered the report she'd read. One of the Syndicate bosses wanted the investigations by the Attorney General to stop. He indicated, 'if you cut the head off of a chicken, the rest of it dies too.'

She also remembered reports where it was rumored there were other groups who wanted the president dead as well besides the Syndicate. They included the Soviets, the Cubans, the South Vietnamese and the CIA. There were also other groups who thought the president might be too liberal. There were a small handful of those. There were also some people who took issue with his religion. They equated his presidency to having 'the Pope in the White House'. His Irish background also brought the ire of other groups from Northern Ireland.

Young Allison moved along some back streets. She needed to push the thoughts from her head. It didn't matter who any of the groups were. Cameron was the one who was about to deliver the fatal shot. It bothered her some. It was because of her why they were there in the first place.

"I'll do it Cameron." Young Allison said. "I don't want anyone to blame this on you going forward."

Cameron was a little surprised at Young Allison's proposal.

"Do you want to be the one who pulls the trigger?" Cameron asked.

Young Allison was highly trained by Cameron and the other Terminators. She'd already proven herself in combat. Killing the enemy didn't bother her. The president wasn't the enemy.

"I'll do what I have to do, when I have to do it." Young Allison said. "I haven't faltered or failed yet."

Cameron wondered about where, and why, they were at now specifically. They'd used the TDE at her base. CamNet controlled it. It didn't matter what the time and location was they'd selected on the machine. CamNet could override it without them knowing and send them to anywhere, or any when.

She knew there were a lot of paradoxes involved in their current mission. Somehow they'd interacted with Cammy and Sheila in the past. It all happened before they'd left. What was even more bizarre was before they went on their current mission, they watched the TDE power up and the energy bubble appear. Inside of the energy bubble were two figures. It was Young Allison and her. It was them returning from their temporal mission. They hadn't even left yet.

They weren't allowed to interact with each other. The purpose was to make sure Young Allison remained in the current timeline without a break. She was actually in the same location, at the same time, with a slightly older version of herself. It was the entire purpose of the temporal mission.

It really made her wonder what would happen if they didn't get onto the TDE pad. They were right there with themselves. She really would like to have shared with herself, even for a short time. She really thought it would have been a wild experience. She could see Young Allison wanted to do the same thing with her slightly older self.

Cameron quickly pushed those thoughts from her mind. She didn't need distractions right now. She really needed to think about if she wanted Young Allison to take the shot or not. She thought it would be a test.

Served Well Done

There's no such thing
As one who is 'The One'
Count the many faces
As they come one by one

Most relationships are half baked
Others are stagnant and overdone
Time spent together isn't really
Any longer about one on one

Things once talked about and shared
Are no longer enjoyable or fun
The past grows darker
It weighs on each other like a ton

It's easier to be elsewhere
A cold shoulder to shun
To see the end coming
Means neither has won

Any perceived victory is false
The results no longer stun
What's left on the plate
Is served well done

Nobody
